Super Fish Jumping Extreme Pro Evolution 2 Turbo by aaaleee 2016-12-12T10:09:00

Really fun, unique concept. I had a lot of difficulty getting the fish to move to way I wanted it to, but the destruction was pretty satisfying so it was still enjoyable. Nice job.

LDJAM_37: Yan Mc Baba's Survival by Vegevan 2016-12-12T09:34:00

Hello! Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but neither the Win_x32 or Win_x64 builds run on my machine (Windows 10).

1RC Your Forever Room by Kerr 2016-12-14T00:35:00

Woo Cave Story!

Great game! Love the art style and everything worked fine. Always happy to see VR games submitted.

KillThatHipster! by Tauka 2016-12-12T05:26:00

Loved the art style, felt very Hotline-Miami inspired!

Geometry Room Survival by vg_iba 2016-12-12T08:36:00

Woah, nice game! The ability to switch perspectives on the fly was tough to wrap my head around at first- but after playing for a bit it started to make a bit more sense. I loved the sound effects, and also enjoyed how stressful it became trying to manage running for resources and barricading doors while enemies pour through the ones that were broken down!

Essay Writer 5000 by MrEvilGuy 2016-12-12T08:24:00

I'm not going to lie- I don't think I have the mental fortitude to complete this game, although I enjoy what I did play of it. The distractions are on point, and the fact that you managed to voice just about every 2-3 letter word I could think of is impressive.

Definitely the most unique game I've seen so far, great job!

Mallard Reaction by marbenx 2016-12-12T08:17:00

This is one of the best games I've played so far trying out the LD entries. The art style is superb, the sounds (though maybe a little too loud) fit in perfectly, and I loved the humor.

Again, great job on the project and I'd love to see this expanded upon even more!

Techno Party Death Box by onyon 2016-12-12T10:22:00

Such a simple, yet addictive concept. I have a feeling I'll be playing this one trying to beat it long after judging ends.

Santa Claus by victorcrafty 2016-12-12T19:45:00

Pretty simple, but the harshness of the audio makes it a bit tough to go very far

Dungeon Market by Omniorcus 2016-12-12T09:13:00

I love this one! The basic gameplay feels a lot like Recettear, and I like the backstory you've given it.

At first it's really tough to figure out how much to sell your items for, but once you get the hang of things the game becomes much more manageable. Great work!

Piece of Meat from JohnKevinProd by MonsieurDuc 2016-12-13T07:09:00

Loved the 'Fuck Off' button. Art style is overall great though I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to direct the people towards! Would love to try this again after it gets some fixes (or maybe I'm just terrible).

Digital Dojo by d3uced 2016-12-12T11:59:00

Very challenging. I like the ability to vault over enemies, and it's cool to finally have a game where just because you have a big weapon- that doesn't mean you can easily solo a horde of enemies! Great work.

Flip to Unite by Zawdit 2016-12-12T03:12:00

I got the true ending: http://puu.sh/sMtYU/b83f0a2cbb.png

The Bloodbath by Aster0id2000 2016-12-12T11:29:00

Great game, I really like the cannon!

INSURANCE MAN, So you would like to make a claim? (SomeThing Different) by HeartOfTheFall 2016-12-13T06:55:00

Hey, just a heads up- if you upload the .zip you can create a sharable link that goes directly to it instead of having google drive zip everything up (and making us wait a while!)

Really cool concept! Great art style, and I had quite a bit of fun trying to get it exactly perfect. Is there an ending, or does it just go forever?

Room Norris by esquirolaire 2016-12-12T12:04:00

Enjoyable and interesting concept. It's clear that you had a lot of fun with this game!

Exit The Room Update 1.1 by Artsicle 2016-12-12T19:41:00

Funny game, definitely don't think I'm going to be seeing another game like this one!

Witching Morning by not-a-hazard 2016-12-13T07:14:00

So cute! Some of my favorite art in the compo. I think the triggers for the events are a little small though (took me a bit of tapping back and forth before I was able to activate some of the things).

Aside from that, great work- and this is definitely one of my favorite games that I've played so far!

E:D - Avatar Shooter by DrSnuggles 2016-12-12T20:08:00

Haha, great idea.

LudumDare OneRoom - Blackback Mountain by kptemre 2016-12-12T08:14:00

Cool concept- I have a weak spot for zombies. The player characters are pretty funny though I had trouble aiming, and none of the buttons seemed to work on the main menu.

All in all, great work and I'd like to see this taken a bit further!

Orbital Engagement by tompudding 2016-12-14T00:01:00

I love this one. The ability to manually enter a firing solution is a great addition, and the art style is simple- yet enjoyable. Great job on a superb project!

Cave Jumper by SoerenBachNielsen 2016-12-12T09:28:00

Simple concept, but addicting gameplay! Nice work!

Shit Happens by vrojman 2016-12-13T23:31:00

Very interesting concept, but I ran into an issue where the men would get stuck and just walk in place.

Rocambolli by eri0o 2016-12-12T11:54:00

Excellent art style! I get a very Super-Meat-Boy-esque vibe from the main character. The challenge of having to restart from the very beginning reminds me of old flash games that would send you back to the very beginning if you messed up (And that's a good thing :P).

flwr truss plus by wscones 2016-12-12T10:34:00

Such a strange game, very interesting though. I liked the odd controls and thought it was a very bold decision.

Box Shooter by Miotis 2016-12-12T05:46:00

Loved this one! A very awesome take on the theme, and you got the aesthetic down to a tee! My only gripe is that it was tough to remember what each shape did- maybe a billboard that had the shapes on it in-game?

Either way, great work and this is definitely one of my favorite entries so far!

Cursed King's Court by kraftkar 2016-12-13T23:43:00

Really cool game! I've played it for quite a bit, but I can't seem to win :(

It was also a bit confusing how they are called tomes on the top, but books in the cards.

Either way, great job!

one room arena by Starlight glimmer is best poney 2016-12-14T01:15:00

Cool concept, controls were a bit rough to get used to. I'd like to try a version where w always moves you up, a always moves you left, etc. I do like the mouse aim though, good job!

Room Defender by Feathergunner 2016-12-12T10:18:00

Cool entry! If I could make one suggestion, maybe the player shouldn't be ale to move while the menu is open.
Aside from that I'd like to see a version expanded upon with sound and more enemy types!

Guardian by NegInfinity 2016-12-12T08:07:00

Woah, love the artstyle and animations. Really wish there was some sound or background music, but aside from that- great work!

Slime Box by KadaDev 2016-12-12T05:55:00

Really cool idea, and fun backstory to explain it all! Wish there was a bit of background music though. Either way, love the art style- and great job on the project!

American Life by headlein 2016-12-14T00:34:00

Vending Machine: The Video Game is a great game, and by far the most difficult one I've played so far. Here was my high score:

https://puu.sh/sOFyP/224fa9cbdf.png
https://puu.sh/sOFuN/70ab788fff.png

The level with the floating enemies was pretty cool:

https://puu.sh/sOFqc/d2725f3df4.png

It did get dark, but thankfully the trees were able to give me the strength to get through the trying times:

https://puu.sh/sOFef/58919c70b5.png

Unfortunately, there's a bug where once your score gets high enough- you get flung out of the map and have to close the game.

Great job, I'd love to have leaderboards.

Networkingâ„¢ by erikiene 2016-12-14T01:06:00

Very quiet, but aside from that great humor and fun concept. Good job!

(Love the quotes on the webpage)

Elemental Master by Cosmic-Hawke 2016-12-12T11:12:00

Very unique game. I like the gameplay, but I feel like it would be nice if it was more apparent when you attack / take damage. It was a little tough to figure out what was going on at first, though eventually I got the hang of it.

ButterFighters by LoadedGames 2016-12-13T23:29:00

Really neat game, saw your reddit post. I like the simplistic art style. Nice job!

Mechaxolotl Rampage by TeamAxolotl 2016-12-13T23:50:00

Amazing!! I loved the panicked gameplay of trying to manage all your different pieces of equipment, and the art style is great.

My best score was 16975, and I think this is one game that I'm going to keep installed and playing long after the event is over.

Full House by cablay 2016-12-14T00:59:00

I think you need to zip up the data folder with the .exe, I can't run what you've published.

hoplitelite by Attrition 2016-12-12T05:39:00

Awesome game! Played it all the way through, and the map maker was a very good addition!

Newsroom by Icelus 2016-12-14T00:11:00

Haha great game. Love the idea behind it, and the execution was perfect. The first time I tried to do the best I could, and then the second go around I just published everything that came my way- and got surprisingly far (so extra points for being realistic). Great work, and gj on the memes Andrew.

Alchemist Slave by Unentokku 2016-12-12T02:30:00

Love the concept, really cool take on the theme! Maybe a few too many ingredients but aside from that, great job!

One Room Movers by BoUnDtOtHeEaRtH 2016-12-14T00:42:00

Oh boy... I am not good at these types of games. Either way, I like the simple art style and sound effects. Nice work.

Zombie Room by jasperarmstrong 2016-12-13T06:58:00

Very difficult to play, you move really fast. I like the idea though.

The Painted Lady by Verz 2016-12-14T00:49:00

I'm not sure how to play this.

Remote Operations Team - Tactical Extraction Action by HuvaaKoodia 2016-12-12T08:31:00

Very interesting take on the theme, loved the final level with the sheep that had guns on their backs, and trying to figure out how to stealth my way through a level was lots of fun!

OneRoomGuild.org by hitchh1k3r 2016-12-14T00:57:00

I get an error trying to play:

http://puu.sh/sOHaJ/853da3908b.png

Windows 10 with the Waterfox browser.

Victoria by Crefossus 2016-12-14T00:56:00

Such a simple concept, but executed well. I played it a few times but couldn't make it past this height:

http://puu.sh/sOH21/e3b5f999a5.png

Am I doing something wrong to escape? I've pushed all of the buttons.

Cursed Dungeon by Tommislav 2016-12-14T00:52:00

I like the art style, the enemies look great! Very interesting take on the one room theme. Wish there were sounds though :(

Good job!

Admiral's Room by theholychicken 2016-12-14T01:23:00

Oh yesssss. Love the art style so much, although it appears my men went rogue and decided to join the pirate fleet:

http://puu.sh/sOIpd/6b8a877505.png

at this point I was stuck in an infinite loop of firing and bracing for impact.

I'd love to play this once there's more gameplay to experience!

Warehouse Assault by denycetm 2016-12-14T01:28:00

Graphics are nicely stylized and game is sufficiently difficult. Nice job.

He took my job away by d_0o_d 2016-12-12T12:09:00

Simple and engaging concept. I like the backstory, and I also liked how you made the portal teleport around to make it more challenging. Nice work on the game!

Bathroom Break Manager by tigerfinch 2016-12-12T06:58:00

Really interesting take on the theme!

Dibs: Top Bunk by kidando 2016-12-12T10:39:00

Dungeon Protector by Mouch 2016-12-12T19:35:00

Love the graphics. Wish there was a way to see how the enemies attack.

use your IMAGINATION, quick!!!! by sepharoth213 2016-12-12T07:04:00

Great job on making this game! It's pretty addicting, though I'm not good enough to get past the mid-200's :(

Violent Rom by eruiz00 2016-12-13T23:37:00

Very cool! Fantastic game feel, and I love the different weapons!

ISS - Infuriating Space Simulator by Scruffy 2016-12-13T06:47:00

Great game! Love the audio, and it reminds me a lot of qwop!

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-12T05:41:00

Thank you for taking the time to play and rate my game mdzimmer, I'm glad you enjoyed what you experienced!

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-12T11:49:00

Thank you to everyone for the kind words and constructive criticism! I've got so many ideas on how to improve my game thanks to all of you, and I really appreciate the feedback (positive and negative)!

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-12T12:14:00

Thanks for the heads up Tauka, I didn't notice that until it was too late to change! :(

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-13T06:16:00

Hey @batmanasb, I didn't know we were allowed to make changes like that- but I will fix it now!

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-13T06:30:00

Also the barricades are meant to give you a bit of protection- you and your turrets are able to shoot over them.

I've updated the build with that fix. Thank you for your feedback!

@xesenix, are you playing on the OSX build? I don't have a mac so there isn't really any way for me to test it :(

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-13T06:42:00

Thank you @PeachTreeOath- again, I'm still not 100% sure how much we're able to change our game during voting but I'm definitely looking to expand upon this after the jam and that would be a great change to make.

Porno Tales: part 1 (Warning: NSFW!!!) by Sublustris 2016-12-14T01:03:00

Yeah, you might want to mark this one as nsfw.

Team Therapy by Catwheel 2016-12-12T07:58:00

AMAZING! So happy to see someone tackle something as ambitious as UNET in a 48 hr gamejam! Here are some observations I made:

1: Maybe turn down the volume on the player's movements- it's a bit too loud compared to everything else

2: Love the humor, me and my buddy were chuckling throughout most of our time playing.

3: Nice art style, simple and effective.

4: Great job on the music, fits the gameplay perfectly.

5: The music puzzle was a little tough to figure out, but we made it through after some time.

6: The boops from the buttons got a little hard to listen to after a while, maybe look into either turning the sound down a bit or making it a less harsh noise.

Our favorite puzzles were the ones where you had the directional arrows and you had to guide the other person to the goal.

All in all, great job on your game- it was a lot of fun!

One Room by TheScragglyMan 2016-12-14T01:10:00

Interesting, the second part was significantly harder than the first, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The art style was cool. Good job!

Put It Out by conradte3 2016-12-12T07:00:00

Awesome Christmas-Themed game! Love the art style and it was fun to spin around in circles and fly out of control!

SANTA'S ONE ROOM by cjke.7777 2016-12-12T09:32:00

Great and unique twist on the theme! Love the art style, and the music is fantastic. It's pretty challenging, but after a while you get the hang of it. I could see this being a game commissioned by Adult Swim or something of the sort.

Great job on making a fun, challenging, and addictive game.

One Room Adventure by Mattmatt 2016-12-12T11:08:00

Neat game. The one suggestion I would have would be to have to game restart on death instead of close.

Explosive Heist by Hovester 2016-12-12T19:48:00

Maybe I'm missing the point, but I can't get past the first room. My dynamite sticks won't blow up the doors or walls.

One Room One Life by Nullz 2016-12-12T09:07:00

I ran into an error where I turned invisible after using the bed at the very beginning.

Aside from that, very funny game! Absolutely relatable. The ending was really sad, however :(

Do you ever get motivated enough to play the piano?

A bank is a dangerous place by JK5000 2016-12-12T09:19:00

Well, I suppose I'll have to seek medical attention because I found your game to be hilarious. The gameplay is simple enough, but I very much like your interpretation of the theme.

My favorite line was the protagonist whining "I-I caaan't doooo that" every time I tried to jump.

Flat Zombies!!! by klams 2016-12-13T07:02:00

Fun game and good art. Played great with a controller.

Nest by Jonathan Whiting 2016-12-12T20:13:00

Wooh! Very trippy once you reach the third screen. Don't think I have the mental fortitude to finish this one. Great job though- very unique idea!

Concierge by Zarkonnen 2016-12-12T11:04:00

FINALLY! After playing for around 10 minutes I finally got an ending where everyone survived!

Really fun twist on the theme, and having to learn the patterns of the characters is an excellent source of depth. Great work!

Rat Chase by MestR 2016-12-12T08:01:00

Fun game, pretty challenging. Great job!

Room & Gloom by batmanasb 2016-12-12T10:47:00

Wow, this is great! I absolutely love the music, what program did you use to create it?

Roomba Rampage by PeachTreeOath 2016-12-12T09:50:00

One of the most interesting concepts I've seen so far- I enjoy how fast you can get going once you build up enough speed! The amount of time it takes to fully upgrade feels just right. And the music combined with the great pixel-art aesthetic makes this game a very enjoyable experience. Great work, and I'd love to play this game again if it was expanded upon with more levels!

Pixel Artist Simulator by aamatniekss 2016-12-12T10:04:00

Great game, but such a sad story :(

Such is life.

CrateBlaster by Bacontree 2016-12-12T02:36:00

Cool game. I like the art style that you went with, and the only thing I would suggest if you decide to expand on this would be adding some sounds!

52-Card Pickup 2000 by KJB of IBwWG 2016-12-12T10:54:00

Haha great idea for a game. I caught myself flailing the mouse around clicking rapidly multiple times. It would be cool to see a difficulty mode added to the game that makes the cards move faster / spin more rapidly!

Escape Pod by creativwhisper 2016-12-12T11:21:00

Such a cool idea and interesting twist on the theme! I'm a sucker for space stuff so I especially enjoyed this game. Great work, and I'd like to see an updated version of this with improved graphics.

Ungelo by Broken Matrix 2016-12-12T05:30:00

Awesome work! I love escape-the-room style games, so this was right up my alley!

Magic Panic by harusame 2016-12-12T19:59:00

Really cool game with an awesome art style, and great humor! My one complaint is the difficulty spike on (what I assume is) the very last level. Everything was very easy until that one, and then the screen is filled with enemies and it's extremely hard.

Anyways, great work!

Kitchen Wizard Pinball by quill18 2016-12-12T10:13:00

Great entry! I'm a long-time fan and you inspired my to enter in this Ludum Dare! Can't wait for the postmortem video!

Cool! Saw your comment on my entry and knew I had to check yours out as well!

The controls feel great and I like the simplistic art style, great job. I'd love to play an expanded version of this.

Very challenging, but cool idea- nice job.

The Crystals of Gingledoof by The Tophat Demon 2016-12-13T23:53:00

Controls were a bit tough to get the hang of at first, but after that initial hurdle the game was fun, great job.

Mwahahaha **I AM THE RULER OF THIS DOMAIN**!

For real though, this is seriously impressive. Doing all of this in 72hrs is no joke. Congrats on pulling it off, and I look forward to your next LD entry!

Invasion - The Chronicle by Kappa.B 2017-05-01T01:07:18Z

Cool idea, I love how ambitious it is for 48hrs. Unfortunately I wasn't really able to figure out how to play it, but the art style was charming- and it seems like others were able to offer decent feedback on gameplay.

Great work! :)

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-01T05:26:22Z

Nice work! Very interesting puzzle game. I love the humor, and the patchwork artstyle is very charming! :)

(Also thanks for adding a skip button :p)

Bug to the Footstep by eddynardo 2017-05-01T05:54:20Z

I agree completely with @larrychupacabra. I would seriously consider polishing this up and marketing it as a puzzle game for kids! (Maybe make it a tad easier early on because my dumb brain couldn't make it past level 2 :p)

Excellent work!

Daydreaming Island by camilo 2017-05-01T02:55:01Z

I'm going to start with the stuff I didn't really like, because I really really liked this submission, but there's just a few things that I think could have been done a bit better which prevented me from loving it:

- The controls were a bit rough at first. There were many situations were I would accidentally read a note multiple times because I kept thinking LMB was move. More on this later.

- The camera movement was also disorienting and I feel like it may have worked better if we were just given an overview of the entire area we were in, instead of a close up with the camera following the player around.

- Also, I couldn't really use the telescope because the game didn't lock my mouse cursor (web).

- @chaseplays mentioned that the inconsistencies in sprite scale, and I fully agree, it made it a bit difficult to tell what was going on sometimes.

- The text could really do with an outline- half of the time you can't read it because it's white on white! :(

- I also didn't really understand how the mailbox puzzle worked. I just sort of clicked LMB and RMB until it gave me the key. It seemed like prompts were missing on about half the popups.

But now, the stuff I liked:

- The music, it's perfect.

- The art style isn't overly complex. It's very utilitarian, and that works well.

- Both of those add up to create a great atmosphere. I was nearly fully immersed in the world you had created.

- There's so much content for 48 hours, I'm seriously impressed.

- The story is simple, but engaging. It kept me playing for much longer than most of the other LD entries I've tried so far (definitely the first one I've felt compelled to finish).

All in all this is a fantastic entry to LD38, and I would really like to see it expanded upon and given the small fixes that would push this game from good to great! :)

Unicorn World by hnzlmnn 2017-05-01T01:32:51Z

Any idea on when a Windows build will be out? I would love to give it a try.

It's A Small World by danman9914 2017-05-01T06:48:08Z

Woah. I don't know what to say after playing this.

- The story was great- but I want so much more! It just sort of ended :( - The art is phenomenal. Great job. - The music, ESPECIALLY the transitions, are great. - The way the speech bubble follows the speaker was very well done, however the text didn't follow the bubble! - Very fun setting.

Excellent work, I loved this submission.

Not too bad, though it was tough to keep control on the track- I kept sliding around (got 2:40 on the first track :c)! Aside from that, great work on creating three tracks and a local leaderboard in 48hrs!

New Clear Planet by blackoptics8 2017-05-01T07:01:39Z

Hello, Yes I helped make this

Nah, just kidding. But seriously, this game is crazy- there's so much to take in. Congrats on creating this in under 72 hours!

I really like the art style you went with, and although the controls are a bit wonky- I got used to them pretty quick. Nice work!

It's a Small World, So Let's Crash It into Things by simonhutchinson 2017-05-01T02:27:14Z

Yes yes yes, I love the title so much. We went similar ways with out interpretation of the theme, and I love the direction you took. :)

The audio transitions when the dark star gets close is awesome, and I'd love to know how you went about implementing that.

Great work, pretty easy- but very entertaining while it lasts!

Planetary Defense Force by TeamMonumental 2017-05-01T04:47:32Z

Nice! Very difficult, but I love me some tower defense games, so I think I'm going to be putting some real time into this after judging is over. ;)

Alone Together by Artylo 2017-05-01T06:36:03Z

Very interesting. I played for a bit but didn't run into any of the random events. Regardless, the dialogue was entertaining, and the premise for the game is intriguing. I'll have to check it out further when I get the time.

Small Survival by Fengol 2017-05-01T01:44:24Z

Pretty good for 48 hours, but I was pretty confused on what to do. Either way, cool concept and nice job. :)

Caturday is today by DemyHallar 2017-05-01T04:40:14Z

Oh my god, this game is absolutely adorable! For some reason, I'm not able to interact with anything though! (Windows x86_64, 1920x1080). The meter shows up for just a moment before flickering out. I've tried holding, mashing, nothing works :(

I'm going to come back to this later, because I seriously want to play your game! :)

Caturday is today by DemyHallar 2017-05-01T06:57:14Z

Yep, restarting fixed the issue. Not sure what was up!

Great job on the game. I loved everything about it!

You Are World. by amras0000 2017-05-01T05:15:30Z

world.png

This game was beautiful. Absolutely relaxing.

I do wish there was a sandbox mode that let me be as big of a world as I can be!

Thank you for making such a great game.

The End and the Beginning by Zitao YE 2017-05-01T00:53:35Z

Very interesting! I really like the music and how the enemies towards the end get almost bullet-hellish. Great work :)

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T04:10:33Z

Thank you to everyone that's played and rated so far!

@camilo

Haha, there's the secret ending! Glad you liked it- the characters and dialogue was a last minute addition but I'm so happy I was able to get it in there! I very much look forward to expanding on the story next Ludum Dare ;)

@ilseroth

No, thank **you** for playing it <3

@wildmusketeer

I appreciate that a lot! The controls were definitely the toughest part of the game to get down, and I think if I were to do it again I would lower the drag a bit so you slide more, and have the power bar charge up quicker.

@scriptorum

I hadn't even thought of that- what a great idea. That would have solved some of the control issues mentioned above! Thanks for playing :)

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T04:12:20Z

@aurelien

Yeah, I was a bit afraid to make it too challenging. I wanted people to be able to finish it and get the secret ending without having to spend too much time retrying! My own personal build is quite a bit tougher. ;P

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T05:47:45Z

@equinox Great call, certainly something I should have addressed! I am glad you had fun!

@nilanjan Thanks!!

@eddynardo Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm very humbled, and glad you enjoyed your experience, even with the few issues you had 💖

@jushiip I have a surprise for you: try continuing after you beat the game, and then getting a little bit bigger ;)

@jhandsy Yeah, if I were to do this again, that's definitely something I would change! It was something way far down on my bucket list and just never made it into the final release :(

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T07:56:07Z

Very interesting @jackyjjc - would you mind posting your specs so I can figure out what the issue is?

Infecteria by LiquidBrain 2017-05-01T03:21:56Z

Sweet! I really enjoyed this one. The right-stick mechanic is very cool, though my thumb did get pretty tired after a single playthrough :c. I think the camera mode also should be a toggle, it got tiring having to hold the button for so long!

I love the art and the music- very impressive for how much time you had to work on this.

Also, very unique concept. I've only seen one other game take things to the bacterial level- and I absolutely love what you did with it.

Great work all around, wish I could just continue from game over instead of restarting :(

Planet Sustainment by aidenm125 2017-05-01T04:35:23Z

Very sorry to hear you weren't able to finish :( I'll be looking out for your next project!

Violent Goat by Pixelcode 2017-05-01T01:02:13Z

Haha nice. Great humor, and I really liked the music! One issue I had was getting stuck on platforms pretty frequently. All in all, great work for 48 hrs! :)

Here's my entry if you wouldn't mind giving some feedback: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overdrive

Ark of the new world by jojocanard 2017-05-01T02:11:54Z

I really like this one! The one thing I would like to see if this was expanded upon would be a sandbox mode where you have unlimited citizens to plop down, and were able to pick the disasters! Awesome idea, and great execution- especially for 48hrs!

A Small World After All by Rmershon 2017-05-01T04:03:59Z

Nice! Very unique take on the theme, but you pull it off well. I do wish I could see more below my character though, I accidentally ran into 'enemies' a couple of times! :(

Holy Shit! A Spider !!! by Aurelien 2017-05-01T05:39:29Z

Hahaha well done! The audio is great, and I absolutely love how frantic the game gets once you make it to normal difficulty!

A World In Her Eye by OrbitalBlueprint 2017-05-01T01:21:54Z

Haha, you can just go right back to bed and end the game there. Nice.

Very nice art style, and the multiple endings are cool. I feel like the planets might have crossed a bit too quickly though. Even going as fast as I could, I was barely able to fix the robot in time.

Regardless, nice work on the project! :)

Paper Jam! by danhett 2017-05-01T07:04:51Z

Wow nice! I feel like the hitbox is just a *bit* too large, but aside from that I had a blast playing. Great job making a unique and fun game! :)

Harry Inks Shrinks by Oxlander 2017-05-01T02:18:05Z

Neat concept! It's always tough to judge just how much we can get done in the short timespan of the jam, but the most important part is learning something new every submission. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next time :)

Tiny Planet by Matt Fabius 2017-05-01T04:57:30Z

Very neat. I had a bit of performance trouble in the web version, the worst one was a crash every time I tried to move multiple units to the space ship at once. That aside you all had a very unique idea and pulled it off. Congrats! :)

Warpy's World by Nilanjan 2017-05-01T05:42:48Z

Very interesting puzzle game! The art style reminds me a lot of Madoka Magica for some reason- and that's a good thing. :)

Nice job on your game, the clone mechanic is neat!

Big Ship on a Small World by Samcam 2017-05-01T01:31:43Z

Haha nice. I liked the art style, and the humor was good too! One thing I would suggest is throwing an Outline and Shadow component on your text, it got a little bit difficult to read at times. I also had some issues with some of the planets not showing up. Aside from that, it was a fun take on the theme. :)

Here's my entry if you wouldn't mind giving some feedback: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overdrive

BUS DRIVER by Rombus 2017-05-01T04:00:35Z

Ahaha nice. Fun take on the 'snake' style of game, and the art style was very charming!

There were a few collision issues where I *know* I didn't run into that building (just scraped by it :p).

Either way, you made an enjoyable game- very good for a first submission. Congrats! :)

Strangeness by philomory 2017-05-01T03:05:19Z

Neat take on the theme!

I really enjoyed how challenging it was at times (though admittedly I'm not too great at puzzle games), and the only thing I would really suggest is the ability to wait a turn.

The music is nice and catchy, and the art style is charming. Great job. :)

Greedy Pigeon by jmborden 2017-05-01T01:41:44Z

Ahahaha nice. Very strange concept, but you managed to pull it off! I liked the music, though the controls were a bit tough to get used to. Great job! :)

Globe Trot by Richard Michael Smith 2017-05-01T03:25:24Z

Woah, I love this. Like, a lot.

I think this game has some significant potential to be something great. Moving around at breakneck speeds trying to dodge projectiles and enemies alike is so much fun.

Please continue work on this, I could see a polished version with some more features making it on the Steam store.

EDIT: I would also love to see a hardcore mode where running into your own bullets kills you.

Rise of the Termites by Togis 2017-05-01T02:21:30Z

Cool! Nice music (and actual audio sliders c:), and very ambitious for the time allotted. As @simonhutchinson mentioned, it would be nice to be able to speed up time. Aside from that, it's good! Nice work :)

Dungeon In a Bottle by jhandsy 2017-05-01T05:58:23Z

I can't decide what I like most about this submission:

- The fantastic art style

- The amazing music

- The incredibly responsive controls.

You absolutely nailed this entry. Fantastic work.

Afterbirth by xxDOOMbox 2017-05-01T02:14:16Z

Bwahaha nice. Short and sweet.

Music was great, humor was fantastic, controls were responsive, and art style is charming. Excellent job!

SmallWorld by arg410 2017-05-01T00:56:15Z

Cool concept, I would like to see this expanded further!

SkyWays by Steerschips 2017-05-01T06:29:44Z

Nice! I was thinking of skyroads when I saw the screenshots and then you mentioned it. Very cool that you managed to make a few different planets instead of just one! Maybe next time a minimap would help so I don't have to refer to the map on here? :p

Either way, excellent work for only 48 hours!

Quantum Catburetor by jushiip 2017-05-01T03:10:54Z

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this one. The game feel is absolutely on point, and the only thing I could even think to suggest is implementing some controller rumble!

The controls are so responsive and fluid, the art style is very charming, the audio is great.

I think this entry is going to be one I keep coming back to even after the jam! :)

(high score was 13400 :p)

KeyPuppers by AntaresValdemar 2017-05-01T06:24:52Z

Oh noooo! I'm not very good at this, RIP puppers... :P

Great concept and excellent execution!

Incidental Dimension by wildmusketeer 2017-05-01T05:21:51Z

Woaaaah, trippy.

Very unique execution of the theme. I'm having trouble just wrapping my brain around things ;P

Well done! :)

Natural Killer Prototype by kr4ft3r 2017-05-01T01:57:58Z

Oh my goodness, this is awesome! I don't think I'm smart enough to play this one very well, but I have to say I loved your audio design and how much care and effort clearly went into the game. Excellent work! :D

Tumblin' down by Shodanon 2017-05-01T05:02:06Z

Nice! This was a really ambitious concept and you all pulled it off fantastically! The sound effects are my favorite part.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh.....

Food Force by Kinjin 2017-05-01T01:48:00Z

Interesting take on the theme- I wish there was a score system though :(

Also the window was way too big, so hopefully there weren't any UI elements on the bottom!

Aside from that, I like the artwork- great job! :)

LD44 — Your life is currency

Ocean View Hotel by Eldy 2019-04-30T00:24:48Z

Very cool! The audio design was very strong, made the game quite engaging. Great work :)

Venture-Out! by 64mega 2019-04-29T22:09:35Z

Amazing.

HAMMO by BadRAM 2019-04-29T22:07:41Z

Excellent game. Game feel is perfect, the humor on the signs in the tutorial made me laugh. I found myself replaying level 2 over and over to try and get a faster time!

The name is funny, would love to know the inspiration behind it.

Diffraction by slimabob 2019-04-29T21:10:12Z

@mr-bojangles Thanks! They did such a good job on the voices.

@lemur Thank you Lemur! Just about to check your game out now :)

@nate-prince I appreciate the bug report, glad to hear you checked out both endings!

Diffraction by slimabob 2019-04-29T21:28:38Z

Thanks @sahoskins1 , really glad to know that the Linux version works! I would have loved to put some more time in optimizing it for all types of rigs... oh well- next time :)

Thanks for playing!

Diffraction by slimabob 2019-04-30T00:16:50Z

Thanks @squishywizard44 , I really appreciate the feedback. The fade-to-black + quit was intended, although it was done because we were in the final few minutes and realized nothing happened when you beat the game. I threw in a quit-to-desktop as a last minute thing. If I could go back, I would absolutely return to menu instead, but it didn't pop into my head at the time.

I appreciate the bug report, we didn't have as much time to bugtest as I would have liked and that one slipped through.

Regarding the writing, I absolutely get where you're coming from. The protagonist was meant to be a cheeky poke at the duke-nukem type of character (overly """badass""" to the point of being ridiculous), whilst the antagonist is more of a wacky, saturday morning cartoon villain. I definitely agree that the villain was the stronger character, I had a lot of fun writing his lines :)

But I do appreciate the input and will absolutely take it to heart for our next game! Thank you so much for taking the time to write out a lengthy comment, it means a lot.

Diffraction by slimabob 2019-04-30T01:37:14Z

@torculus Appreciate it :)

@hernandack having that input from a musician means a lot to me! Every one of us had so much fun working on the game, and put little pieces of ourselves into everything. I worked hard on the audio that we could get in, but it ended up being a bit too time consuming to do everything I wanted to. The next game will have a stronger set of audio :D

Thanks again for the reviews, both of you!

The Demons Deal by Bluwind360 2019-04-29T23:56:38Z

Cute artwork with a fun little story. Nice work :)

Dungeons of Taradith by DrunkardWolf 2019-04-29T22:22:25Z

VERY cool. I think this is one of my favorite games I've played so far here. Simple concept executed very well. It felt very rewarding to begin to understand the mechanics and craft my deck (I died to the first enemy my first playthrough haha). Ended up on floor 21 with 40-ish health! Great work, would love to see something like this on mobile. :)

Does Money Grow on Trees by Antti Haavikko 2019-04-29T21:22:02Z

Wonderful job on that game feel. Fits the theme well. Good job!

Knit Worth by ColeSlaughter 2019-04-29T21:27:26Z

My favorite game so far. Absolutely hilarious premise, and fun gameplay that's very easy to pick up. Would be fun to try this with a controller. Nice work :)

Grim by Sanavesa 2019-04-30T01:23:31Z

Awesome game! I really had a great time playing this. I just wish there was more (or maybe an endless mode)- just when I was getting super powerful it ended :(

But anyways, great job folks! Your game feels great to play and has nice graphics / audio. :)

EDIT: Also wanted to mention that I really liked the take on the theme.

Forex Platformer by cax 2019-04-29T22:26:32Z

Hilarious concept. Music and premise made the game very stressful- good job :)

Procházka by Daniel Jenikovský 2019-04-29T21:35:17Z

Beautiful little experience. The minimalist artwork works very well, and it was fun to click around to see what was interactable!

Little bit confusing at first, but after I figured it out I had a great time. Fun twist on the given theme.

Fun little game! Interesting interpretation of the theme.

The Cube Fountain/CUBE SLAUGHTER by Daksh 2019-04-29T21:57:20Z

Cool concept! Sounds were a little too loud. I was doing really well and then accidentally fell off the world hehe

Nice job!

Delta Fighter by LiauJ 2019-04-29T21:44:39Z

Nice game. Spent a lot more time playing than I expected to- surprisingly addictive. I think if you added a bit of music and some more powerups you could publish this game on mobile and it would do well!

How did you go about making the backgrounds? They looked sweet.

Front Line Fury by hernandack 2019-04-30T01:47:56Z

Love plants-v-zombies type games, this was an good one (especially for 48 hrs)! Having your health also be what you spend on towers is really interesting. I like it a lot, would be cool to see this with even more towers!

Shroom Bois by Torculus 2019-04-30T01:28:48Z

Good job!

Very cool party game. I think you should consider developing this beyond Ludum Dare!

SHIPWRECKED by Bredera 2019-10-08T03:25:46Z

Great game! I really liked the artwork (so much in such a short amount of time!) and felt like the game length was just right.

But I do feel bad for the poor sailor that gave up his galleon for a rowboat!

Good job :)

Very fun idea for a game. Ran into a couple other players online and had a blast!

Junk Racer XL by Nikolaj 2019-10-08T03:48:44Z

Hey! Tried playing the downloadable version, but I get the following error:

ldjam error.PNG

I have the exe and ldjam45-junkracerxl.pck in the same folder but it can't locate it for some reason.

Web version worked though! The art was nice and I liked the audio, though it was a little bit too loud. I didn't have any friends to play with so I had fun trying to pull off the biggest jump possible!

Been seeing a lot of games using Gogot now, going to consider checking it out. Good job to both of you!

Thanks so much @cafelovai, I spent a lot of time trying to get those transitions just right!

@seth-marx I'm really happy that you enjoyed the game! We were all cracking ourselves up when coming up with the story. Appreciate the kind words :)

Full Moon by slimabob 2019-10-08T03:43:14Z

Hey @nikolaj, you just have to fight them for a bit and then the story progresses! If we had more time I would have loved to put some QoL tooltips to make things more understandable. Thank you for playing :)

Full Moon by slimabob 2019-10-08T05:45:56Z

Ayyyyy @coleslaughter! Glad to see you again! Thanks for playing the game- so happy that you enjoyed it :)

@jakemchugh1 Yeah I wish I had thought to put an invisible floor there because it sounds like that's an issue multiple people had- but I'm glad that despite the error you had a good time!

@joseph-yannessa Thank you for the feedback! That "WTF" vibe was *exactly* what we were going for :D

Full Moon by slimabob 2019-10-10T18:46:42Z

@magus77 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, we had a great time writing and recording the voicelines.

@wxzuir I appreciate the kind words. I really wanted to utilize cinemachine for this project, but I didn't feel like I knew enough about it to do what we wanted to in such a short amount of time. That being said as soon as LD wrapped I started diving into CM tutorials! Knowing back then what I already do now would have saved us precious hours! :)

@tommyflower Thank you! Everyone involved was very happy with how this turned out. Ryan, Tony, and Divic did a wonderful job writing the script, and the moment Tony pitched the ending we decided that this had to be the game we worked on for Ludum Dare 45.

@sprotex I really appreciate the honest feedback! The game was definitely our most ambitious project and you were correct to intuit that! Every Ludum Dare we try to push ourselves to our limit, and with this game there were definitely a number of things I would have liked to include that would have addressed some of your concerns. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy our entry, but thank you for playing it and giving your sincere thoughts- it means a lot to all of us, and will help everyone improve for next time :)

Full Moon by slimabob 2019-10-18T09:31:27Z

Higher Desire by ColeSlaughter 2019-10-08T05:55:46Z

King of the Goo by BenPeterson 2019-10-08T02:30:56Z

Very cool game. I like all of the variety in the creepy-crawlies. I like that even as I grew more powerful there were foes that still posed a challenge. Great work!

Hoarder's Paradise by Scott Steffes 2019-10-08T04:29:01Z

Such a charming art style. The text popups for each item made me chuckle. Good job.

Gem Miner by Jasper Hansen 2019-10-08T02:59:07Z

Love the artwork. Reminds me a lot of a gameboy game. Felt very good to control overall.

Space Tales by SirMichel 2019-10-12T03:22:14Z

Nice! I loved everything about this game. It really felt like all of you were big fans of [a certain game everyone else is also mentioning] and it shows! The humor was on point and even though the graphics were simple, they were incredibly effective. My only complaint is that the mouses sensitivity was too high! Great job to everyone involved!

My favorite part was when you found the little robots jammin' out on the dance floor :)

Nada by croben 2019-10-08T02:55:24Z

Cute game with a fun concept. I like how the flowers stick to one-another. Can make the game very chaotic!

Build 'm up, Shoot 'm down! by magus77 2019-10-08T03:34:02Z

Love the fact that it's a webgl build. Makes things very easy to get running!

The audio was simple but effective, and the graphics were charming. Fun and a bit challenging too! Good job to you and your team :)

Shigechi's assembly by Gamers Blood Entertainment 2019-10-08T04:25:16Z

Very cool. The music was great and even though the game was simple, I had a good time exploring the world. Good job to the both of you :)

Pimp my voxel by TheoG 2019-10-08T02:34:26Z

Surprisingly complex game for such a short amount of time! Mechanics were great, as was the audio. Excellent job :)

Stuff from click by PurpoAppo 2019-10-12T02:55:56Z

This is a really interesting game! Took some time to figure out, but pretty entertaining watching the little creatures run around the game world and fight each other!

SHPLAT by Isvan 2019-10-08T05:02:04Z

Nice charming little game. Wish I could begin strafing while already midair, but aside from that it's a very pleasant game.

We Got Nothin' !!! by Trevor Shoe 2019-10-12T03:01:07Z

Cool! Nice, charming game with a bit of challenge. I liked that it wasn't too difficult and was able to be completed in a couple of minutes- perfect for a LD Jam! Good job! Loved the dialogue :)

Let There Be Light by michaelaranda 2019-10-08T02:38:14Z

I love everything about this game. The audio is superb and the game is very relaxing. Wish I had a bit more energy but loved playing! Definitely my favorite game so far.

Nothing In A Bar by veer 2019-10-12T02:46:49Z

Nice! Got the happy ending :) The camera movements were very smooth. Did you use cinemachine?

Undead Alley by Mungo_ 2019-10-08T04:34:56Z

This game was very compelling. I found myself sticking around playing for a long while! The ability to upgrade your weapon and see the changes reflected visually was a great touch. I know the struggle of having a great idea and then having to reduce the scope as the jam goes on, but I think you ended up with a great product! Good job :D

GÖÂRGĤ by SneakyFox 2019-10-08T02:10:47Z

Very cool! A simple idea that is very well polished! Loved the starfield in the background, and the thruster trail on the player's ship looked very cool. Nice entry!

SpaceGas by Sprotex 2019-10-08T03:41:17Z

Funny little game with a surprising amount of difficulty later on! The comic at the beginning was a nice touch, but I felt really bad for the poor guy- he didn't sound like he was having a good time!

Good job!

Bumpkin's Spooky Adventure by BrotherBondProduction 2019-10-08T02:20:57Z

Cool game! Love the art and soundwork. Max speed + max fire rate is a blast :) Nice job!

Alien Planet by Steffy 2019-10-12T02:38:47Z

Very cool! Absolutely love the claymation art you went with.

Fast Bastard by eupde 2019-10-08T04:54:46Z

Fun little game. Was expecting the guards to be called if I was caught but it let me move on to the next unsuspecting commoner >:)

Great job all around.

Dungeon Dragon by fedz 2019-10-08T00:11:38Z

Really cool idea! Tricking the enemies into environmental hazards is a really neat mechanic. Nice work :)

Monkey Mountain Holiday! by scalliondelight 2019-10-08T03:53:02Z

Loved everything about this game. The art was charming, the story was funny, and the music had some real bangers \m/

Short and sweet. Good job everyone!

All Starts with Nothing by Rensei 2019-10-08T03:05:19Z

Mesmerizing game with wonderful audio. I really liked the reflection effects. I also really enjoyed how you made the background for your website have the particles from the game! Very immersive :)

Murder On Peacock Street by Seabird 2019-10-08T04:00:59Z

Great! The camera motion was fantastic, and I really appreciate the audio work you did on this game. It really helped set the scene. The amount of art is genuinely impressive given how little time there was to work on the game!

Unfortunately my game crashed after I turned on the faucet, but I really appreciated what you had going on. Great job! :D

Top Dog by Seth Marx 2019-10-08T03:16:12Z

Super cute game! The pixel art was adorable, the sounds were great- and I loved the music! I was also really impressed by the paralax scrolling effect on the background. It's a wonderful little effect that makes your game feel so much more polished.

Good job to everyone involved! :D

Defective by CafeLovai 2019-10-08T03:11:23Z

Great little game! Very funny, and the soundtrack had some real bangers \m/ Job well done by everyone on the team :)

Soulful by aconfusedragon 2019-10-08T04:07:37Z

This is my favorite game by far. The artwork was adorable (and impressive for such a short amount of time), and the audio was sooooooo cozy. It felt great to control. I will definitely be following the games that this team puts out in the future. Excellent work! :)

Nothing in Room by Colsk 2019-10-10T00:51:21Z

Wow! I liked this a lot. The story was great, and I loved the aesthetic. Great work to you and your team!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Promethean Legacy: Fan the Flames by quill18 2020-04-22T01:03:00Z

Very interesting game! It's easy to understand, but surprisingly challenging. The audio is great as well! Good job :)

Torchkick by Wekaj 2020-04-20T03:14:18Z

Very cool take on the theme! It took a bit to get the hang of the controls, but I really appreciate that you started the player in a tutorial room so they could figure everything out. I think a 1v1 multiplayer game with the jumping & kicking as a primary mechanic would be a real winner. Great job on your entry!!

That's Crazy, What? by commanderstitch 2020-04-20T05:33:04Z

Hilarious! The alien is really cute, and the rest of the artwork is charming too. Good job! The game lives up to its name because every room I entered had me going "That's crazy...what?"

Guardian of the Rite by sawtan 2020-04-21T23:43:25Z

Love this! The audio and artwork are perfect. Warhammer reference with the Unclean One????

Definitely one of my favorite games so far. Managed to beat the game on wave 5 by not spending any favor (very difficult!) and then went back and played through buying the upgrades. Good job!

What does the audio say when played in reverse????

The Gentleman by micahlg 2020-04-20T03:06:23Z

Awesome! I love the aesthetic, and the take on the theme is refreshingly hilarious. Great game feel. Good job!

Division Decisions by Sn4pi 2020-04-21T00:15:07Z

I love this game! The "Papers Please" aesthetic is super appealing, and you both did a wonderful job on the game. Excellent job!

DJ Data Bender by binroot 2020-04-20T04:20:26Z

Cool to see a Godot game! I've only worked in Unity, but Godot seems like a really slick engine. I had load issues on web like you mentioned, but once I downloaded the windows version it worked perfectly!

You've come up with a really fun interpretation of the theme, and I had a lot of fun seeing how many patterns I could fit onto one pad. I wound up wanting more time per level to try and min-max my layout! Good job :)

Last Hope by Iluvatar 2020-04-21T02:08:52Z

Great game! It said I got the best ending :)

It was a very clever decision to make the game take place in the evening so that the characters could all be silhouettes. Your pixel art is gorgeous. I liked the backstory you came up with, makes me want to play more stuff in this world! Good job on your entry.

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T05:50:49Z

@supergamersgames I take that as a huge compliment! It was always intended to be KB+M, but we set out to make a game filled with chaos and somewhat complicated to control to add onto that! We looked to surgeon simulator a bit for inspiration there. But since we've heard some feedback about a VR game we're considering making a VR port! Thank you for playing and providing your feedback!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T05:56:48Z

@tomeks : Thank you, @thegrandpa did a wonderful job with the 3d models.

@blackopsben : Oh man, @divic knocked it out of the park with the voice lines. Everything in here was more or less improv'd.

@binroot : Thank you so much for the kind words!

@ioan-pop : Glad you enjoyed, we had a blast working on this entry and we're glad it made you smile!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T06:06:36Z

@commanderstitch I'll look into that!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T06:08:26Z

@commanderstitch Should be fixed! Thanks for letting me know.

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T22:47:07Z

Hi @dbreak, thank you for the feedback. Which platform are you playing on, and when did it crash? Depending on your computer, the game may take some time to load after pushing "play". Clicking play a few times may cause some funkyness. Thank you for trying to play and sorry you ran into this issue!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-21T08:18:18Z

Thanks for the heads up @shaolin-dave, I don't have a way to test mac apps ~~so I'll try another build tomorrow~~. **Maybe it's fixed? Try the new download link!**

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-21T23:58:57Z

Thank you @shaolin-dave, I'll see what I can do about that! I wasn't sure if our game would be able to run on web but I'll upload a build today and see. I really appreciate you coming back and giving it another try.

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-22T00:45:25Z

@shaolin-dave A web build is available! As far as I can tell it runs fine, though the mouse sensitivity is much higher on the web build than it is in the standalone build. Thank you for the recommendation! We hope you enjoy the game, and we'll be sure to upload web builds of our games from here on out! :)

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-22T03:30:25Z

@shaolin-dave Give that a try

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-22T05:05:08Z

Thanks for the kind words @coleslaughter! Glad to hear you enjoyed the game! We were really happy with how the physics worked out for the car interior. Of course, the pizza shop was the one building I forgot to check collision on hahaha. Thanks for reviewing, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you and your team cook up next jam. :)

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-22T05:05:44Z

@shaolin-dave Glad to hear! What was the fix? I'll make sure to implement it next time.

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-22T08:04:58Z

Thanks a bunch @shaolin-dave, I might be able to get access to a mac for the next jam so I'll be sure to do research!

@bongooo Awesome! If you do I'll make sure to RT it!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-29T12:23:13Z

Thanks for the honest review @g-a-gamestudio! We've been in talks about what we want to do with this project going forward, and input like yours is unbelievably valuable. Thank you for playing our game and taking the time to give us your thoughts :)

The joys of parenthood by IronyGames 2020-04-21T01:55:26Z

Haha great entry!! Loved the art style, but the font was kind of hard to read :)

Just Fishing by DrunkardWolf 2020-04-21T01:41:04Z

One of my favorite games so far. Highly relaxing, and a setting I haven't seen yet! I'm glad you added a timer-less mode. I can see myself coming back to this again after the jam!

Wayward by ColeSlaughter 2020-04-21T01:23:05Z

Absolutely gorgeous game. Very relaxing with wonderful audio and a great message. Kind of reminds me something I'd see on armorgames. Good job y'all! Looking forward to seeing what your team comes up with next time :)

Pennywise Crossing by kromeboy 2020-04-20T03:35:54Z

I really like this trend of people making their games playable on web! It makes it so much easier to try and review. Fun take on the theme! The controls feel a little bit rigid, but it's not a big deal! Good job on your entry.

Lifeline by Begocio 2020-04-20T04:52:45Z

I really like the effects on the main menu screen! The gameplay is very unique and I like the aesthetic you went with. The terminal around the whole thing is a wonderful touch. Jumping felt really good as well, you did a great job on that. Good entry :)

juxta.LINE by fiaKaiera 2020-04-20T04:48:29Z

Really cool game! I felt my OSU "target priority" reflexes kicking in after a while there. You did a great job with the audio, and I appreciate how the graphics sync up to the beat. I found that the game was pretty challenging but it was fun!

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-21T02:24:09Z

Love this. The art style is wonderful and the voice acting fits the graphics for the lich perfectly. You and your team made a wonderful clicker game :)

Sleepwalker by Sheinxy 2020-04-21T01:59:23Z

Enjoyed the graphics, but the gameplay was very challenging for me! Really loved the design of the main character. The mechanic of unlocking the camera was pretty cool too!

Who Can Protect Me? by Dreamer 2020-04-20T05:23:44Z

I like this a lot. The game feel is great and the powerups are very satisfying(the time freeze feels like a Stand power lol). Great work on your game. It gets pretty tough as it goes on!!!

Ecorobotical by TomekS 2020-04-20T05:20:55Z

Nice! I liked the tank controls, felt very accurate to the robot's aesthetic. The art style is simple but very effective, and the robot is cute. Good job on the entry :)

Place me back by Nyunesu 2020-04-20T03:30:56Z

Nice game feel! I really like the sound effect you used for the thumping, hit all the right frequencies :) I agree with the previous commenter, more levels would be great! Good job.

Zero by omercanbalandi 2020-04-20T03:19:04Z

Cool game! I always appreciate when a LD entry lets you play in browser. I definitely know the pains of scope creep, but what you ended up with is a great little entry. The pixel art is very charming. I had a bit of trouble dodging attacks, maybe next time that could be a bit more forgiving. Good job :)

Turbosaurus Hero by megaqueijo 2020-04-20T23:54:47Z

Insanely creative! Loved the sounds. The changing perspective kind of confused me, but overall a very fun entry. I would have liked the required key to show up inside the thought bubble, but I figured it out eventually!

Captain! Captain! by SuperGamersGames 2020-04-20T06:15:36Z

I love how chaotic this is! Very difficult but highly enjoyable. Charming artwork too, great work! :)

Ultimate Planet Habitat Support Tester 2020!! by mikouaji 2020-04-20T04:35:47Z

This it a very intriguing game. I'm not very good at it, but I kept finding myself compelled to give it another try! Nice work :)

The Few Who Stand by sadzanenyama 2020-04-21T23:46:02Z

Really liked this one! Started off simple enough, but you nailed the difficulty. By the end my base was destroyed and I was desperately clinging on for survival against the mega enemies! My only complaint is that I got really excited to spend my 3,000 points, but then I won the game after I spent them! A level to use your fully kitted out gun would have been cool.

..at any cost by Igoreshka 2020-04-20T05:43:03Z

Cool! Couldn't tell if there was a death counter anywhere but I think it would be a nice addition because I died a LOT haha.

The Mad Piper by psychic_ash 2020-04-20T03:25:38Z

This is a really cool way of making a unique tower defense game that fits the theme! I like the artwork, and it was cool to see the sprites full-sized on the instructions page (I think the last sprite is the best one!) Great work on your entry :)

HiJinx by DarriasArt 2020-04-20T05:12:36Z

Your sound design and artwork is very cute! The run is my favorite. I had trouble getting stuck on some of the cloud edges, but normally a second try got over it. Fun little game :)

Fimbledore by CodingNinjaJoas 2020-04-21T01:32:38Z

Good graphics! Really like the music as well. For some reason I couldn't give the character food despite having some in my inventory.

Snail Crossing: Lucky Lefty Lives?! by TheBookSnail 2020-04-21T00:43:09Z

Simple idea but well executed. Wish there were some sounds! Good job :)

just a boring topdown shooter by Kinshuk_thebest 2020-04-21T01:47:23Z

Pretty fun! I liked the narrator on the top, was pretty funny. Wished the enemies spawned faster as you went on, but as-is it's an enjoyable little game!

Catnip Panic by Platyp 2020-04-21T00:07:21Z

Super cute! Reminds me of a GBA game. Good sounds too!

Eggbert II by senar93 2020-04-21T00:59:29Z

Hello! I couldn't find the link to download the game on the itch page.

Keep the run alive! by himegized 2020-04-20T05:01:54Z

I love this. It reminds me of the games I'd spend hours playing on flash sites as a kid. The colors flashing every 1/2 second is a great touch and adds to the frantic feeling of the game. The only thing I could possibly suggest is some high-bpm background music to up the intensity even more! A simple, but compelling game. Wonderful job!

Crazy Doctor by Chinigami 2020-04-21T01:53:00Z

Great concept! The doctor being on a skateboard made me smile. Good job :)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T04:31:06Z

I think this game is the perfect example of "simple, yet compelling". I spent way more time playing than I initially expected. Fun simple premise with a hilarious secret! It was very entertaining to watch all of the mini-me's running around.

Do not venture into the darkness by Sergio Gonzalez 2020-04-20T04:42:55Z

You did a great job at making the game's graphics very unsettling. The found footage effect over the screen is fantastic, and even though the graphics were simple I found myself frantically looking around for the next enemy. The only thing that I think would elevate the mood further would be some background ambience! Great work on the game :)

50 Shades of Pray by robstao 2020-04-20T04:15:23Z

Love seeing so many WebGL builds of people's games! This is a really cool idea. The banner system kind of reminded me of Tooth and Tail in a way. I think the player moves a little slow, but if you sped them up a bit, this could be a really fun online web game! I kept thinking of all the .io games out there, and this could definitely be one of them. Good job on your entry, very creative :)

ChargeMe by WMute 2020-04-21T00:01:39Z

I'd say this game has the best atmosphere of any I've played so far! Loved the atlas & p-body reference. The game was very hard but a cool idea.

Star Buffs by MAJK_FL 2020-04-21T01:36:35Z

Very tough but I enjoyed the art style. Could use some background music to elevate things to an entirely new level!

Orbshot by Michael Horst 2020-04-21T00:28:11Z

Easy to play, but challenging to master! I found myself playing this for a lot longer than many of the LD entries. The arrows showing you the direction to go was a good touch, and I liked the music you decided to use. This game reminds me of the sorts of games I used to play as a kid. Excellent job :)

OwOrbit by AudreyC 2020-04-21T01:09:16Z

Very cute! I enjoyed both the audio and the graphics. I wasn't very good at it, but still had a fun time playing. Great job on your entry!

Super Survival Ball by Quinn_Patrick 2020-04-20T03:00:57Z

Fun take on a classic game! The physics are very smooth and I liked the background music. The ability to play in web is also a big +1 from me. Well done!

Draguinho by Vini Explorer 2020-04-21T02:13:49Z

Nice! I wasn't very good at this but it's a fun concept. I agree with an above poster, where it was tough to figure out how to shoot. Good job!

Medieval Messenger by Courtmac 2020-04-20T03:38:27Z

Very charming artwork. Good entry!

Life of the Party by KC_Shiftyyy 2020-04-21T01:17:03Z

Nice work. Simple gameplay loop but surprisingly compelling. Great idea for your ludum dare entry!

Synergy by Diamond Wolf 2020-04-20T03:09:27Z

Nice game! It was a little loud, but that's not a problem. The player feels really good to control. Great entry.

Your Plant by PerfectSquare 2020-04-21T23:54:08Z

I really liked this one! Thought it was going to be a pretty simple game, but you mixed it up by adding a second plant! Having a third or fourth would have been even better, but as is I think you've made a really cool game! I liked the pixel art a lot as well, you did a good job with that.

Retro Driver by TeamNova 2020-04-21T00:33:00Z

The car controls really well! Good job on that. Liked the sounds also.

Ralathor takes a nap by beeguy 2020-04-20T04:57:19Z

Haha amazing take on the theme! Not entirely sure what the voice was saying, but it sure was satisfying to smash all of the people! Good job on the sprites.

Pixel Ninja by JuanRojon 2020-04-21T00:51:46Z

Nice! Made it 160s. Simple but fun.

Lettuce Be Friends by YaakGold 2020-04-21T00:57:11Z

This is an insanely deep game for the amount of time to make the game. You did a great job!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Descentris by PhilStrahl 2021-04-26T20:02:41Z

WOW! This is so creative! Took a second to figure out what I was supposed to do- but once I got a hold on it I couldn't put the game down! There was a lot of fun strategizing around when to descend deeper, and when to branch out from my main path to grab the gems and bombs! Your visual and audio direction is great. I also love how the game yells at you to go faster haha!

The only thing I could think that might improve it, would be to see the next two pieces rather than just the next one. That way I can plan my moves out even further in advance! Good Job!! :v:

Dive for fish! by imyellowfish 2021-04-26T21:52:27Z

OMG MY BIRD GOT SO BIG. It becomes a little hard to control after I grab the big pink fish, but I still have a lot of fun playing with the momentum and trying to aim my dives. No clue how real birds manage to do this XD

Very unique idea. Good job!! :v:

Deadlift by slimabob 2021-04-26T19:28:37Z

Hi everyone, thank you for the feedback! Every piece of feedback pushes us to do better next entry! Due to popular demand I pushed an update that adds some hitmarkers to the gun. Windows build is live, and Mac build should be updated shortly. Thanks again to everyone who played and rated!

:v:

Deadlift by slimabob 2021-04-26T21:21:45Z

Thank you for the feedback @kevin-s ! Yep, our teammate @divic did all of character voices (minus the final boss) and sound design. He does great work on all of our entries! Everything in here except for a few small SFX were created during the jam! Thanks again for the review :D

Search and Resque by Hilvon 2021-04-26T20:56:38Z

Wow! Very creative! The voxel digging was very impressive and I liked the premise- great job :D

FireFlight by Razzzzzzz 2021-04-26T21:28:04Z

Cool game! I loved the art style, and I think next time some sound effects would really take the game to the next level. The fog of war was really impressive, and even though the game started off easy it got really challenging by the end! Excellent entry! :v:

Cave Runner by Sir. Syko 2021-04-26T19:36:37Z

I love this! Reminds me a lot of the games I used to play on Newgrounds as a kid! The art style is very charming, and I chuckled when the character did a slow motion flip over the rock. Great job! :v:

Fadau by LukiX 2021-04-26T21:33:21Z

Nice! It's a simple concept but you executed it well! The game was a good length in my opinion, though maybe a tiiiny bit too much waiting for the first pickaxe. Reminds me a bit of games like cookie clicker. Good job on the entry! :v:

Ants Are Awesome by IndigoWolf 2021-04-26T19:53:35Z

WOW! This is really impressive for the time allotted! The AI is a decent challenge and it's a lot of fun to watch the ants stream into the enemy base! The ants exploding into blood clouds when dead was a great touch! I thought I had beaten the game when I killed the first queen, only to pan down to see an entire enemy ant kingdom had sprung up while I was struggling against my neighbors! Great job on the game!! :v:

Dream: The Temple Within by dominikscholz 2021-04-26T20:47:20Z

Wow! The artstyle is super charming, and reminds me of some games I played when I was just getting into PC gaming- lots of nostalgia! The game was just the right length and didn't wear out its welcome. Great job!!

Shork by CrispyPin 2021-04-26T22:02:38Z

Wow! Beautiful game! You were right, that music was perfect to play alongside the game. I loved how you played as a shark piloting a submarine- wonder what the backstory to that character is XD

The fish crowds were seriously impressive and I have no idea how you made it work in such a short amount of time. Wonderful environment design- good job!! :v:

Soil Share, INC. by WhenYouCantFindAFriend 2021-04-26T22:33:03Z

Hah! I loved the writing for this game- lots of great humor. I love the snarky, dystopian agri-company and I think the game had a good message about preserving the environment! I definitely hope this future doesn't come to pass, because that free meal looked..... :disappointed_relieved:

I liked that you programmed in different endings based on whether you ate the food or not! Good job on the entry! :v:

Dip Deeper by Spaghetti 2021-04-26T22:48:31Z

Ahahaha what a fun idea for a game! I wasn't very good at it, but I kept retrying to get a little further than the last time! Good job on the entry :D

Down - The game by zubspace 2021-04-26T21:58:46Z

Wow! Impressive for a game jam! The cutscenes were great, and it's always really cool to see an entry using Godot. I liked the art style and even though the sounds were basic they added a lot to the experience! I totally feel the over-scoping problem. Never enough time to do everything you want to!

Great work on the game! :v:

Beaver Submarine by cagibi 2021-04-26T20:14:09Z

WOW! I think this might be the most creative take on the theme I've seen yet! The ship controls were odd BUT once I got a handle on them it was actually really fun to control the sub! The music was super cozy and I found myself playing this game a lot longer than a lot of other entries. I was surprised to see physics on the objects in the sub. Great entry! :v:

DEEPER by eboatwright 2021-04-26T19:42:54Z

A simple concept executed very well! I spent a lot of time seeing how far I could go! Great job!! :v:

Water Chaos by Lu Costa 2021-04-26T21:40:05Z

The game lives up to its name!!! It was very challenging, but I enjoyed trying to avoid all of the sharks! The art was very charming. Good job both of you! :v:

A Well-built Castle by JaTDev 2021-04-26T20:26:51Z

Interesting take on the theme! I love resource gathering games so I had a blast with this one! The artwork is very charming. Good job!

Dungeons and Caves by Dizabanik 2021-04-26T21:00:44Z

Awesome- major Nuclear Throne vibes! The character is very fun to control, and I loved the music! Impressive for a 3-day jam game. Great work! :v:

Prospector Paranoia by Kovi 2021-04-26T20:33:42Z

Very well done! You've nailed the atmosphere, and there were a lot of small things that I was really impressed by. The dissolve effect on the wraiths was very cool, and I loved the magnetic effect that drew the ore chunks into the player when they broke off the rock- great QoL feature! The only thing that I would take a second look at is how the player has to stop to swing the pickaxe- I feel like it slows down the momentum a bit. But aside from that I loved the entry! Good work!! :v:

Tropical Singer by Kevin S 2021-04-26T20:40:32Z

Awesome!! I love the idea- and procedurally generated music is crazy! Got some Friday Night Funkin vibes w/ the instruments XD

Good Job! :v:

down down by MasterWolves 2021-04-26T22:44:41Z

Cool game! The premise is super creative, and totally fits the theme! I liked that there was a lot of challenge to it, but the arrows helped keep the game from feeling unfair! Awesome soundtrack too. I enjoyed the game!

Good Entry! :v:

Hi! Tried to play the game but the itch.io page seems broken! D:

No Dungeon Control by PLX01 2021-04-26T22:13:04Z

What a creative idea! I think the bloom may have been just a bit too high because sometimes my camera position made it very hard to see. Aside from that, I didn't run into any issues. Great job on the entry! :v:

Down To Earth by DanB18 2021-04-26T22:08:34Z

Wow! What a creative idea. I love the premise, and the audio design is great! I found myself trying over and over to get deeper than the last time. I like that you can speed up and cut off your rival roots! Great job on the entry :D

R.O.B.t. by AhSpike 2021-04-26T21:15:06Z

Oh my god this might be one of my favorite games I've played in this jam! The writing is hilarious! The game looks really nice too- very cool to see an Unreal Engine game! I laughed the first time I died from fall damage and ragdolled. Excellent job on the game! :v:

Deeper in the sea by SundayPlayer 2021-04-26T21:06:29Z

Hahaha nice! Simple concept, but the twist of mixing up the controls at random really adds a lot of complexity! It was cool to see an Unreal Engine project. This could be a really interesting concept for a mobile game if you found a way to translate the randomized controls. Good job to both of you!! :v:

Trooper! by CryoCyanide 2021-04-26T21:46:12Z

Haha! Great humor in this game! It's a simple concept but you executed it well. I loved the ending certification- I am now an official Paratuwuper! Good job!

Untable Flow of Time by cubebuc 2021-10-04T23:12:13Z

This might be my favorite entry so far! It's a really simple premise but super addicting. I think this idea has a lot of potential to be expanded into a full game! Great work :D

Brasópolis: Unstable Economy by Fernando Sydenstricker C. 2021-10-04T22:53:25Z

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Loop by Geckoo1337 2022-04-11T17:42:26Z

Simple idea but super compelling! Ended up spending way more time playing than I anticipated, trying to beat my past scores! Excellent job this was a really fun game :)

SUPER 2 Late by ilikescifi 2022-04-11T17:39:08Z

Pyramid defense by Maskrosen 2022-04-05T00:34:28Z

Fun game! Pretty difficult but I enjoyed the challenge! Great work, had to play a few times to try and get a good score :)

HEXATTACK! by kurrik 2022-04-05T00:08:33Z

This is super cool, reminds me of Creeper World! Easy to learn but I like the layer of strategy you added with having to wait for more powerful attacks. Good job!

Cyber Skater by Syafire 2022-04-05T00:02:41Z

Very fun! I love the character design, and grapple hooks are an instant +1 letter grade haha. I'm not very good at the game, but I really like how the enemies get stronger as the game goes on- reminds me of Risk of Rain's enemy scaling! Fun game, good job :)

UFOTag by Useless Fish 2022-04-11T20:09:30Z

I love this! Very fun twist on the tower defense genre. Cute art and sounds. Good job!

Cool game! I like the premise. It's pretty challenging but feels fair! Good work :)

Fill The Generator by LemonScripts 2022-04-11T17:33:26Z

Cool idea! I liked the maze-like aspect of trying to find all of the fuel cans. The art was cute! The one thing I struggled with was being able to jump over the enemies- I always just barely clipped them and lost HP. Aside from that it was fun!

LD52 — Harvest

Space Garden by Yamzho 2023-01-09T20:40:57Z

I really liked this game! I don't think I was very good at it, but I played all the way to the end and had a great time doing it. Very pleasant game and well done. If I had to give a complaint, I had a hard time remembering when I was out of points, so I would spend a while wondering why my cards wouldn't work. A little sound effect or flashing UI element would have made it a tad easier. Aside from that, a really good entry :)

EDIT: I just saw that the art was AI generated, I never would have guessed and you did a great job with the prompts generating a bunch of cohesive assets!

Harvcrab-232 by Raynorr 2023-01-09T20:20:52Z

Really cool game! I like the pixel art a lot, and you really nailed the atmosphere of the game. The ship took a bit of time to get used to controlling, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty fun. Good job on the entry!

Picking Apples 1.3 by Síria Games 2023-01-09T20:24:49Z

Haywire by Merin Car Trunk Key 2023-01-09T20:50:42Z

Your game doesn't load on FireFox for me, but chrome works! Also the web ver has a bit of lag on my machine, but it's playable. I like the idea of growing larger as you collect more things- reminds me of Katamari! Good job on the entry :)

Thank you @MinikinKay for your feedback! Glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with the game, and I'm sorry to hear you ran into that bug! Your complements on the sounds really mean a lot to us, we're all very happy with how they turned out given the time we had :)
