LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Rude Bear Raid by Alex Rose 2015-04-21T04:16:00

Looks great runs smooth and well paced. Took me a minute to encounter another person but when we did it was cool.

KnifeGunGame by Sebby 2015-04-26T15:17:00

Super floaty controls made that one section with all the turrets tough to get through. I like the idea of being able to cut down the projectiles. Makes the character seem powerful.

Economy Legal War by el_kloklo 2015-04-26T13:25:00

Really like the systems in place. A logistics sim could be a whole lot of fun. Probably a bit ambitious for the Jam but the seed of a great idea is there. Also shame about the theme.

P.O.F : The Power of Friendship by denycetm 2015-04-22T14:15:00

He is throwing positive words. Its a text bubble that says YAY!

It Came From The Sea by adamwfindlay 2015-04-26T15:32:00

One of my favourites so far. I would maybe like a little more feedback to know that my attacks are working. Pig launching gun was incredible; it gets top marks for theme. Some of the sounds could be reworked. Great core concept.

Hotdog-pocalypse by adamk33n3r 2015-04-26T15:44:00

I was able to post up to the side and just lean on a button to get them all. Some kinda of differentiation in either the gun or the enemy type would have made that better I think. Also some sounds. I did like that the hotdogs trajectory was a bit random. Like it was a home made improvised weapon of sorts.

RUN -> JUMP ^ DELIVER by shadow64 2015-04-26T15:23:00

I think just a little more variety in the platforming and delivery types. Burrito gun gets some great theme points from me.

Battle of Tolzford by Franklin's Ghost 2015-04-26T17:30:00

Great work on the art. This could be the rest of the game that the kid is playing at the beginning of the movie big. Also one of the first entries I let my daughter play through given its inspiring message. Great job.

Fe-Line of Sight by davient 2015-04-26T19:15:00

The bugs made it so I couldn't advance past the first enemy. However the cat with a laser pointer as a weapon is a good idea. I could see a lot of game play out of that (knocking things over to make bridges, reflecting the laser off mirrors etc.)

Compactor by Mark T 2015-04-21T03:56:00

Very charming and I like the idea of a 3d printer as a weapon. I had some trouble with the control scheme though. Couldnt get cups or the soda bottle to do anything.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

FEED ME! by Transmit 2015-12-15T21:05:00

Feels like a sweet snake clone for a flip phone with a twist.
I would agree with the other posters that your head should kill and the body takes damage. That way there is a risk/reward for breaking the surface.

B0T-4NY by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2015-12-15T20:50:00

It felt like a machinarium / wall-e kinda game.It had some really great, satisfying little puzzles. One nice to have is a hover state on interactive items.

Damacreat by KayZ 2015-12-18T15:46:00

I think the difficulty curve should be inverted a little as the game got easier and easier as I got larger. Perhaps some way to cash in my size for other options. I liked the look of it though.

Choppy Crop by komjaur 2015-12-15T19:27:00

good use of contextual controls. I would have loved some mechanic to buy bigger watering cans.Hold more feed. etc. Just some way so I could start balancing multiple states for the crops. Also would have liked to see some easing in the transitions between the steps. One really great mechanic is that the dead plants yield seeds which means you have to decide how much of your crop to use for replanting.

Forgive the pun but this entry has the seeds of a great idea.

Eco-gro by skysthelimit 2015-12-15T18:35:00

The ecosystem management is a good idea. finding eggs was very hard and I feel like you have to do that before any of the planting happens. Good motivation to get the dragon. All the elements balance well. Maybe start off with a single goat egg?

The Groth by tharealjohn 2015-12-15T21:16:00

What if the controls were both thrusters and using both drove you forward but using one turned you around. Very much so like Solar 2 or maybe even katamari damacy.
The music was great. I really liked the character design. it seemed like it was an organic ship that had evolved to travel through space.
Some things to add would be an indicator for how far away the things are that the arrows point to. I travelled very far chasing one and never caught up to it.

Robot Boxing by Green Lightning 2015-12-17T16:28:00

The controls took a minute for me to figure out. At least for the web version I tried right click for the bottom punch and it brought up a context menu.

GrowForce by Ping78 2015-12-17T16:23:00

This could be the next cookie clicker if I could leave it running in the background.

Mike's Garden Simulator 2015 Platinum Edition by smbe19 2015-12-16T20:28:00

A bit repetitive. the music reminded me of the genesis shadowrun game which was great. Sometimes the gaps show up without time to plant a seed and I found that frustrating. Good main character.

Overgrow by RyanMan56 2015-12-18T16:18:00

Didn't notice the petal thing until I read the comments. The trajectory of the rockets could be a little more standard I had one rocket get fired at a weird angle and it lingered on screen for a real long time making it unavoidable. I did like the flower protagonist.

Double Helix by BroCade 2015-12-18T16:11:00

Looks amazing. Good challenge. maybe a little more leniency in the presses. grade them as weak - strong bonds.

Lifenodes. by Remicy 2016-01-04T18:42:00

Love the little super meat boy and minecraft creeper in there.
Very simple but very moving surprisingly.

Sand Storm by pontooncity 2015-12-17T17:34:00

Good little game I like the way the plants grow in it.

Growing weed sim by sefhi 2015-12-17T17:41:00

I love smooth animations over low fi art. That being said its a little thin on mechanics.

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-15T19:47:00

Scroll wheel and pan around is what is needed to find the viking village. Most of the action happened off screen for me.

I feel like as a player I lacked any agency in what was happening. I lost two trees to vikings before my squirrels confronted them.
It would be nice if there was some mechanic to bring the squirrels over.
just needs alot more for the player to do.

The graphics had a neat commodore 64 / atari vibe about the, and I dig that.

Canoe A-Go-Go: The Saga of Johmemy by ohmmus 2015-12-15T18:43:00

Great control scheme. Good use of the theme. I would like to be able to feather the buttons to get them moving and turning a bit. had some had some hard times when I collected the scrap and then went to collect what I thought was a power up and it turned out to be a bomb.

Grow in the Hole! by ErgoMeSmart 2015-12-18T16:30:00

Solid entry reminds me of desert golfing. I will say on some of the higher par courses the ball gets a bit difficult to see. Also some indicator of when I can again begin my swing would be helpful. near full marks for mood from me as it really made me feel like I was golfing.

Avalanche by jlouisB 2015-12-18T16:50:00

This was an ok entry. Until the snowball broke apart and made a multi ball thing. This made it an awesome entry. I know you were bound by the two button controls but taking control of the individual balls would have been cool. Still such a smooth transition from title screen to gameplay.

Soylent Greenhouse by sararyCow 2015-12-18T19:13:00

Had a hard time with this one. Coulndt get people to grow.

Billy the Winter Pinocchio Elephant by BulletsArePeopleToo 2015-12-17T15:57:00

Solid entry. The movement needs a little bit of course correction / fine tuning but when I was able to fling my elephant to the top of the tree it was very satisfying. Loved the hand drawn sprites.

Soulless Dungeon by ursagames 2015-12-17T17:52:00

Combat was very rough for me and the pathfinding for my character was a little wonky But the art looked awesome and the boss character was especially great.

zx by acotis 2015-12-17T21:38:00

Achievements is pretty awesome. I like the idea of super simple waves.

NO HOBO by Teren 2015-12-18T18:11:00

The music feels weirdly christmasy. Love that you can get criticals
would be nice to get more points if both sides are equal.

Switchies by SwitchTeam 2015-12-15T16:41:00

The music had me bobbing my head. difficulty curve could have been a little less steep on those levels and maybe some sort of purple phase mode would have smoothed out some of the more annoying switches. Good concept made me feel tension at the levels.

Monster Factory by Corniflex 2015-12-17T16:58:00

Quite charming.
If I had the ability to turn and move elements already in place I could imagine myself playing this game everyday on my morning commute.

Spongos : Family Adventure by Spongos 2015-12-17T18:19:00

Got it running locally.
Very political. Truthfully I like the little dudes and they animate well. Just not a whole lot to do.

LD35 — Shapeshift

Widget Workshop by recursor 2016-04-28T17:56:00

Good puzzle concept. Sometimes it was too slow but then the double speed was too fast.

Arnold Stallion's Pump or Die by arzi 2016-04-21T17:39:00

Fighting in the powered up form would have been awesome. I got the little heart stomp thing just took me a second to figure it out.

Glurge Purge by MiniBobbo 2016-04-21T16:17:00

Good little mechanic

Corvid by Just Tom 2016-04-19T20:02:00

Solid entry. Took me a second to figure out what to do when it said prey (hint for future people hit space bar).

Phanto: The Elementalist by JayProg 2016-04-26T21:51:00

good look. Professional transitions. really solid. Some more animations would make this look very professional.

Fast Dungeon by Andreas Brandt 2016-04-28T03:07:00

Controls were rough but it looked spectacular

Just Roll With It by kumoi 2016-04-26T21:41:00

Looked awesome. Good teaching per level of the various mechanics.

RGB Escape by Mieeh 2016-04-28T03:02:00

Challenging but good checkpointing. I didn't want to give up! Simple and fun. You can make a full game based on this!

SuperFishAl by divegato 2016-04-28T17:37:00

When I got stuck in a whirlpool it nearly blew my ear drums out. That being said if I switched to the shark I could rocket out of the whirlpool. I liked being the dolphin with the rainbow marking my path. Also a great way to show I was jumping.

Tiny Critters by thegypsyknight 2016-04-27T15:13:00

Really enjoyed it I felt like the mechanics were really solid

Shifty Witch by jordgubben 2016-04-28T18:39:00

Needed some music but loved the aesthetic.

SUBJECT 26 by MSiddeek 2016-04-28T17:18:00

This is the best entry I have played so far. I was very engaged.

Goddamn Server by Nordic Ninja 2016-04-24T00:41:00

After the first run through I was wondering if my sword grew when I killed a novice. Is that true? I think more feedback on the players current state may be needed.

KAIJU VS by plko 2016-04-26T21:55:00

Couldnt get my tamagotchi kaiju to battle

Liborio the Shapemancer by MightyToastStudio 2016-04-28T02:58:00

Great art style and level design!

Scooter Magrew: Escape From Somewhere In Space! by AngerFork 2016-04-28T02:56:00

Good concept, it can really grow from here. Add some sound effects and maybe some keyboard only controls. For your app, make the purple more discernible from the white for any colour blind ppl out there.

Cata Crunch by ThisIsVeryPointless 2016-04-19T19:56:00

Super Cute splash screen. I lacked a second player so it was over too soon.

RainbowSnakeFail by qf 2016-04-25T14:15:00

Needs that fail state. The undulating character was a bit confusing

Sea Monster by SeaMonsterGD 2016-04-19T20:55:00

I liked it. If I could point my character in a direction and they stayed in that direction it would be a good addition.

LD37 — One room

keturi by mitkus 2016-12-13T12:18:00

Always been interested in doing a pico-8 project myself. Good tension in each room. I had some problems knowing how many times I could attack before my weapon broke. Also couldnt tell the difference between the sword and the pick axe. Some more contrasting colors might make it easier to see what is in the room.
