LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Rude Bear Raid by Alex Rose 2015-04-23T02:47:00

Looked and sounded great. No one else was playing though so I didn't get to experience it.

Full Frontal Combat by Toestee 2015-05-06T07:14:00

This was surprisingly very fun. Great job!

In Air by SleepyStudios 2015-04-26T04:15:00

Really fun game. Only critique I have is the physics. They seemed...off. It was really hard to maneuver in the air. Great way to use the theme, though.

Hotdog-pocalypse by adamk33n3r 2015-04-23T20:23:00

@doitle: Ya the strafing is actually intended behavior.

@Tortoise and @graebor: Yes audio would have been a great improvement. I just didn't have enough time. This Jam for me was very laid back so I slept a normal amount.

@Javabot: I have never encountered that before. Do you remember what you did to reproduce instead of just shooting a hotdog?

Save Earth by patman123 2015-04-26T04:17:00

Guys...you can't find the "exe" because it is a bundled app for Mac. It's not for Windows.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

The Story of the First Ants by Category5Kawaiiju 2015-12-16T07:17:00

Great art. Cute voice. Fun time.

Slash Quest by Big Green Pillow ft Mgaia 2015-12-16T05:16:00

Stunning. The music really hit me. Loved that. I would love to be able to play that as background music while I work.

Everyone is a Suspect by Catmoo 2015-12-14T06:38:00

Super awesome that there's so much voice acting. I did end up getting that bug where you get trapped :/ Great job though!

Rude Bear Recreation by Alex Rose 2015-12-15T04:01:00

Well.....that was something :P

Cool mechanics. Questionable theme. Awesome music from the renowned Atmospherium

Berry Thorny by KilledByAPixel 2015-12-15T04:30:00

Beautiful and fun game. For some reason I would get low fps sometimes but that could have just been a fluke.

Celebration Of Jand by Dooskington 2015-12-14T06:14:00

So addicting for something so simple. Great work. Runs great and the little peons are cute :3

JUMPR by Supernaught 2015-12-18T15:37:00

Super great! Well done. Really hard but it is fun. Has that meat boy vibe.

Cavern Climber by fashionbatman 2015-12-14T06:25:00

Very interesting theme usage here. Seems pretty polished as well.

Sidenote: You seem to have uploaded the dev version of the application. That's why the file size is so large.

Twobuttons Controls by JordanFitz 2015-12-15T02:36:00

This was really cool. Great art. Ran smoothly. Wished there were sounds. All in all great Jam entry, guys!

Ludum Vitae by Slothmachine 2015-12-16T04:57:00

*Victory Dance*

Music was amazing

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-16T07:23:00

It seems like a lot of people didn't discover this but the arrow keys actually also work as left and right (not jump though). I used the arrow keys to move and a&d to jump. Made this a pretty darn easy game, actually.

Pretty fun. I liked the last level the best!

Dragonic by jsmars 2015-12-15T17:40:00

Fantastic game! Only issues is that I seemed to just get screwed a lot. There would be times where I simply couldn't avoid a bat. Especially in 1st and 3rd form.

Recnac by thedashdude 2015-12-16T05:58:00

Way too hard for my liking. The lack of momentum made jumps very hard to judge.

Spread by gogo199432 2015-12-15T15:59:00

The art reminded me immediately of game dev tycoon...which was fitting :P Cool concept. I'm not entirely sure of the theme alignment but I'm guessing it's like you're "growing" your virus?

Great job, though!

Seedling by Pixcel Studios 2015-12-15T06:02:00

Cute little game. Pretty good for inexperienced programmers. Good job!

1 Button Wizard X2 by BoxedMeatRevolution 2015-12-16T06:08:00

Fantastic job. Was super fun to figure out which combinations did what.

FLOW by Romixal 2015-12-30T16:53:00

Interesting. Didn't really get what I was supposed to do after eventually finding the "end".

Solstand by bloomingbuds 2015-12-18T15:42:00

Great job! Had a great atmosphere to it.

MiniGame *3 by OdnetninI 2015-12-16T15:54:00

I could tell that undertale was your inspiration for the middle game :P

Took me a while to figure out the controls because I had to guess. I figured out that s and l did something in the first game but I seemed to not get any progress.

For anyone needing controls:
1: S,L
2: A,S
3: Up,Down

Wild Growth by Leon Möhring 2015-12-18T15:34:00

Great fun. Beautiful music and sounds.

Snake3D by fpwong 2015-12-16T15:58:00

This was super fun! Great take on the old classic. Lighting is nice as well.

Sorting It Out by Levithan6785 2015-12-16T05:30:00

When playing I get a BUNCH of Null exceptions. Seemed like an okay idea. The 15 hours shows.

Spirit Serenade by Ardent Skylight 2015-12-15T05:34:00

Visually appealing. Very hard. Couldn't get past the first boss. Great work!

Cake Walk by briangogarty 2015-12-16T05:23:00

Pretty funny little game. The UI seemed messed up a bit and I couldnt change the sound settings.

Shaving Day : The Shave After Tomorrow by gloim 2015-12-15T04:25:00

So you did the jam, a 72 hour competition, in 24 hours? I would have expected more from a jam entry. This would have fit better as a compo but I'm sure there are just reasons that I don't know.

This was a very well polished game. Just when I thought it was getting boring something happened...like the forehead hair :P

Tailwind by synthetic-entropy 2015-12-15T17:20:00

Great fun! Controls are very nice. Like ironleonem I think that multiplayer would be awesome and the respawning is a little wonky since sometimes you keep running into the dead zone :P

10/10 would play again.

Mystic Mushroom Massacre by Twiner 2015-12-15T07:06:00

Interesting concept. It seems to be a little ambitious. What's there is nice though! Good work.

Pocket Worlds by systencegames 2016-08-29T03:43:00

I love the jumping :P

Fishing is Fun! by adamk33n3r 2016-08-31T04:12:00

@SketchyGalore thanks! I had a lot of fun this time around. This is probably the closest I've been to completing a game that feels game-y and something that I might actually play myself :D

LD45 — Start with nothing

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-06T23:51:50Z

@snufkinshat yes, that will hopefully come soon

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-07T00:56:26Z

@drprettypatty Ya sorry about that. I was rushing the post and forgot to include instruction. I've updated the post but here they are as well.

On your turn you can either use a floppy disk to run a program on the target or “pass” your turn to code a new program. After each win you get a Hacker Token which you spend/save to get extra Modules to enhance your cyberdeck. Each fight you will Start With Nothing so you must code new programs each time.

Thanks for playing and pushing through even though it wasn't clear what to do. And thanks for your feedback. I really enjoyed this years. I felt like I had a pretty solid idea for a game. I unfortunately had less 24 hours to work on it this weekend so I didn't have much time for polish

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-07T02:27:19Z

@appix ya unfortunately I didn't get to the balance pass so the numbers are pretty arbitrary, sorry! Thanks for playing though

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-07T17:52:41Z

@sode I'm not sure how you got up to 45HP! Max HP should be 20. The reason you are getting so many programs to choose from is from your level. The amount shown to you is based on your level and I didn't anticipate anyone getting above level 5. That's why they're going out of bounds. While I think that a 2.5 rating is pretty harsh for such a cosmetic bug, I thank you for trying it out.

Edit: I have fixed the bug.

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-07T17:56:33Z

@henrik-pettersson Thank you for trying it out! Balancing is definitely an issue I didn't have time to resolve so I'm sorry that that affected you. If by "manually ending turn" you mean clicking the "Do Enemy Turn" button, that is just because I didn't have time for animations or things to denote that the enemy was taking his turn. Without that, it would go so fast I thought it would be confusing if you took your turn and then it was immediately your turn again (also why I added the enemy play log).

But also FYI there is a way to increase your actions per turn! Acquiring an extra Floppy Drive via the module shop allows you to execute 2 programs per turn!

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-08T03:10:21Z

@jimbly ya sorry about the balancing issues. Just kinda had ideas and put them in without time to see if they were overpowered or not. I'm glad you enjoyed it otherwise though. And ya, was really hoping to have in game descriptions of things but didn't have the time

DECKER_ by adamk33n3r 2019-10-08T03:30:01Z

@jimbly Oh I think I misread your original comment. I thought he kept playing biofeedback. That's really weird if you were just permanently stunned. That's definitely a bug. Sorry about that!

Simple? Tower Defense by shared 2019-10-07T18:38:55Z

Nice entry. I've been long interested in a TD game but I usually don't think of it when it comes time lol. The sound effects were nice and the visuals were appealing. Thanks for making it!

P.S. The beginning was a little too long I think. I thought I was doing something wrong or that it was broken. The idea was really cool, starting with nothing and getting money from a lightning strike. But maybe speed the enemies up or something.

Sail for Nothing by drprettypatty 2019-10-07T01:14:56Z

Liked the world. Looked very nice, especially the water. Ambiance had a nice mood

Amor Fati by starvingindie 2019-10-07T23:49:51Z

very cute. nice sounds and pleasing visuals :) great job

No.thing by adliberum 2019-10-08T00:08:15Z

That was a fun and funny little entry. Good work

Ammodillo by Jeremy Ryan 2019-10-08T06:27:05Z

This is incredible. Full marks. Very difficult but I had a lot of fun with it

Nothing by Bocodillo 2019-10-06T23:39:04Z

Not going to lie. I had way more fun with this game than any other I've played so far. Great concept. I know it's been done before but it was still very fun nonetheless.

EcoNomNomIcs by Henrik Pettersson 2019-10-07T15:38:49Z

First off, congratulations on finishing your first game! That's a lot harder to do than a lot of people think. This was a fun little entry. It lacked some depth but overall I thought it was a fun distraction. The visuals were appealing and it was pretty straightforward.

My contribution for this ludum dare 45 by TasakaSama 2019-10-07T16:13:00Z

The mood was very nice. Only issue I had was the handling of the robot. It felt very sluggish. Took a while to get moving and if you let go of a key you would immediately stop. Because of that, the timer felt really hard. I ran out of time on the 3rd level.

Had an issue where a barrel and a crate spawned inside of me after jumping into the last light and was stuck. Annotation 2019-10-07 121036.png

Molecular Madness by PurpledArtFrog 2019-10-08T00:13:42Z

Definitely reminds me of the games that were popular 5 years ago. Loved the audio design and it was definitely fun! Great job

Seed by Trusty 2019-10-07T19:00:58Z

Wow how cute was this game? Loved the song at the end as well as all the sound effects :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Soundsearcher by nicross 2019-10-07T23:14:04Z

Interesting concept. Spatial audio is a cool mechanic and it was definitely chill

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-08T07:08:25Z

A fun concept. Took me a couple tries to get it but I eventually won

itemless by NachtWitch 2019-10-07T15:53:44Z

Really great! I enjoyed playing it a lot. The enemies were hard to hit at times even though it seemed I should have hit them. Not much longevity but for a 48 hr jam game I'd say that turned out pretty well.

Nothing On Frontlines by Pavel Ivanov 2019-10-07T18:23:16Z

Great job. Very fun top-down shooter mixed with tower defence

Hello Buddy! by D4rkWeasel 2019-10-08T06:40:42Z

I thought this concept was pretty unique. The rotation was a very cool idea! Good job

Ludum Dare 45: v0.0.1 (Working Title) by Travis Carlen 2019-10-07T17:48:33Z

Really enjoyed this one. Great concept. It was really fun trying to control everything

Egg Problem by Bry 2019-10-08T07:38:02Z

Nicely done. Really cool ideas and fun gameplay.

LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Towers by adamk33n3r 2021-10-05T16:01:04Z

@kukurammus thanks for the feedback! Do you (or others) have any suggestions on what would make it more "gamey" if we had more time?

Unstable Towers by mrnannings 2021-10-05T13:42:38Z

Hey great job! I actually found your game because our jam entry url had a -2 at the end so I was like "oh someone else had a game of the same name!" and what's even funnier is that our original idea was similar with the tetris pieces (although we decided against it later).

Anyway, nice entry. Simple, clean, and well polished.

Beat Server by pickens-inc 2021-10-05T15:55:59Z

Wow, this was awesome. Job well done! Only complaint here is that it was exceptionally hard for me to keep track of which direction I needed to be hitting, especially when it got faster. I loved the voice over as well, made me laugh. He has so many friends!

Garbostackers by Runuchok 2021-10-05T14:00:20Z

Very impressed with this entry! It looks and plays great. I would have loved some audio, some "ker-chunks" when compacting or something. Other than that, really well polished :)

Hellblocks by Thooom 2021-10-06T01:21:49Z

That was pretty fun! I liked the new take on tetris! Nice sounds (except the pause sound made my ears hurt!) and the visuals were nice.

Trenchrunner by curleysam 2021-10-05T15:21:33Z

Really great work, fellas! Loved the atmosphere of the game. The art and sound design was really nice too!

Citride by Asemic 2021-10-05T15:47:08Z

This was a cool concept. I think the lose timer wasn't very "fun". I did like the switching characters/mechanics but there were times where I was stuck as a character that couldn't progress and just had to wait, sometimes causing me to lose. Great job overall!

Unstable98.exe by hilkojj 2021-10-12T01:46:46Z

That was amazing. Simple but really funny and a cool little puzzle to boot!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Kitastrophe by Jezzamon 2022-04-10T02:17:15Z

That was a fun experience :) I liked learning from others by just watching and then cooperating for trying different things. Me and this other player found a glitch where you could push the cat back up and eventually I actually clipped into the cat and I could fight the physics pushing me out which was also pushing the cat up :PScreenshot 2022-04-09 221701.jpg

Glide'r Die by adamk33n3r 2022-04-05T05:32:56Z

@junklab Thanks for the feedback! My original idea was to indeed have a more unlimited map with a distance goal and to also have a shop with upgrades for your glider. But as I'm sure you're well aware...things don't always pan out lol. I definitely spent a majority of my time on the physics (hardly any online resources for that!) but I think it ended up being a core fun part. That being said, I did add an artificial goal. If you make it through the cave a bit there is a goal platform you can hit to "win".

Glide'r Die by adamk33n3r 2022-04-06T03:23:42Z

@glayson The upside down trees will get you. You better watch out! :P I do wish I had some music in there but alas. Thank you for the laugh :)

Kiwis Can't Fly by DDRKirbyISQ 2022-04-08T05:24:54Z

Wow, honestly, I'm stunned. That was a beautiful game. I love the dynamic music, it worked so well. And the graphics/animations were so good too. I actually left the end screen of the game up for about 20 minutes afterward just so I could keep listening to the music. Needless to say, I can't wait for the soundtrack!

Also works nice on mobile which is cool

Black Holes for Dummies by zimennik 2022-04-07T08:08:36Z

Omg the fast credits ending  the visual effects were so cool!

One More Song! by hadesfury 2022-04-08T06:05:00Z

That was a fun experience :) Did you make the music yourself? I really liked the art style.

Dont Wake Up! by Bloham 2022-04-05T04:20:59Z

I loved the transition effect of the scenery and the atmosphere was very moody.

Baking Simulator 2022 by Sarah 2022-04-05T05:29:10Z

Nice work, I was so confused how many BU each measuring cup was....until I saw the sign on the wall lol. The stated theme application seems a little artificial.

Rise n Time by alec 2022-04-07T06:25:08Z

Very polished looking game. I'm impressed. I had never heard of tic-80, so that's cool! Idk if it's something weird with my computer but the html5 version plays at like 5x speed. It was impossible to play. But thankfully the downloaded version works fine. One criticism I have is that there was no incentive to jump around. I would just find a location near the fewest alarm clocks and just stay there until I finished the level, which made it a little trivial. But it was still a fun little challenge/puzzle and I can't fault you too much for it! Also, I loved the art style. Brought me back to my childhood playing Link's Awakening. Great job.

I hate ants. by munkkeli 2022-04-07T06:41:49Z

Great game. It's well polished and I liked the ambient sound effects. It was a little tricky to play on my laptop with a trackpad, especially to pan, but it was still enjoyable for the most part :)

Turbo Toilet Tomfoolery! by RonanRory 2022-04-08T23:21:50Z

Nice work getting this out with the little time you had! The sound effects were a nice touch and while the controls were hard to get used to, I thought it they added to the frantic nature of the plot

Mow Bot by Seng 2022-04-07T06:56:10Z

Great job, puzzle games are hard to make challenging and yet solvable. I remember having to solve puzzles like this in Link's Awakening so it was nice to be reminded of a fond memory. Graphics and audio were great!

Magma Melt by Boon 2022-04-05T04:58:09Z

Fun little game, nice work :)

Colony Defender by Henrik Ganard 2022-04-07T07:24:40Z

Nice entry. The atmosphere/mood was very nice. The soundtrack was exceptional. I'll repeat the same sentiment about balance. It didn't feel challenging. I feel like having the different ship types having different amounts of health would have helped a lot. As it is now, they all die in one hit from the cheap lasers, even the big ones. Speaking of the lasers, I'm not sure why you'd use the rockets. The lasers kill in one and don't have a travel time. But other than that, I really honestly had a great time with the game :)

Lovers Defence by metatheria 2022-04-05T04:50:43Z

First off, very nice work! Love the art and the story (tho I was disappointed that the game ended without resolution!). I will say that it had poor balance. It was way too easy. Once I got a few towers down I just waited until I won. Also, it wasn't clear how much towers cost, what they did, or where they were allowed to be placed. I was confused for a while because they wouldn't place down. Screenshot 2022-04-05 005029.jpg

Wiggle Arms Space Force by SirMilkman 2022-04-08T06:51:39Z

That was fun, and I agree with others that the polish was high! I wonder if you enabled the fullscreen button on itch if that would fix the scrolling issue.

Inevitable The Game by Craftgineer 2022-04-08T08:35:34Z

Hey! That was fun! Reminded me of wario ware games. The boulder sounds were really annoyingly layered, but otherwise the art and sounds were great!

Choboro by DaivyIsHere 2022-04-05T05:08:12Z

Love the music and sound effects! And it was a cool spin on pinball to boot :)
