Wow, what a great idea! I love the story and presentation. The game is super hard though. I never managed to stack more than two snowballs.

@pfeyffer oh, really? Can you try making the first snowball bigger and then make the next ones smaller by jumping while they're rolling? There's an ending :)

Fun Idea! Never saw anything like this before. I'm a huge fan of the starting dialogue also.

This was surprisingly very charming for such a simple game. Very cool

bry 2019-10-07 05:36

I tried for a few minutes and couldn't get the three snowballs stacked. Definitely an interesting concept though.

I like the atmosphere of this game, the wind blowing and mumbling of the character through the snow is a fun addition. The explanation of having a tunnel under that you blow air up through was also pretty funny.

I did unfortunately run into a physics issue where I jumped the snowball and it landed on the flat part of the hill and stopped. I think this softlocks the game.

Overall neat concept! Also the first game with voice acting I've come across today.

Nice idea, but hard. Too much precision is needed

neverix 2019-10-07 15:29

@calamador yeah, that happened several times during testing but I didn't find a way to fix it

adamk33n3r 2019-10-08 07:08

A fun concept. Took me a couple tries to get it but I eventually won

I ended up using my cursor to mark spots where I should press space. Nice little game! There were a few issues with the visuals, and although they were small, they did hurt the polish of the game. The thin vertical slices (maybe related to a non-pixel-perfect view) and overlapping partially-transparent rectangles:

@corrade yeah, I noticed them during testing too, but I didn't end up fixing them because that would require changing too much of the scene structure

Why the guy sounds like a bunch of people? Does he sound like that or are we in a crowded place? :smile: I could only think about that the whole game hahaha

Fun game, can't say I ever played anything like that, so good job being creative. The whole monochromatic design was really well done and made the game quite lovely. I had fun, the game ended when I stacked 3 snow balls, so I guess I built a snowman uh?

neverix 2019-10-08 13:58

@hcursino Glad you liked it!

I initially wanted to end it with an animation of a carrot and buttons falling onto the snowman's head, but ended up going for a simple ending animation

Интересная задумка, но игра слишком сложная, я так и не смог собрать больше 2 снежков, диалоги в начале слишком быстрые

nigic 2019-10-09 02:20

Ran in a few issues, but ultimately cleared it!

- Seems like on the first try, the first snowball gets huge (like, the 3rd one just wouldn't go high enough to land properly) - on later tries, it's about half as large. Not sure how easy it is to reproduce. - Had a snowball jump right as it started rolling, and I think it went through the floor. Softlocked the game. - When I finally got it, the 3rd ball just... bounced right off. Had both the "Uh-oh" and the congratulation sequences at the same time. It was weird.

Game looks great. It's a neat concept with room to expand on, with various slope shapes and sizes, maybe some obstacles.

Good job!

As a heads up, looks like the web version hangs after the loading bar sometimes.

Pretty unique concept but as other state before me, quite tough!

neverix 2019-10-09 05:44

@nigic I got #3 once, #2 and #1 didn't happen. Weird.

asue 2019-10-10 19:00

It's really an interesting idea and an original game, but maybe a little too hard. It would have been nice to be able to start over again without being interrupted by the dialogues at the end! Good job :)

hermitao 2019-10-11 18:23

Nice game! Had a hard time figuring out how to stack more than two balls though, but other than that, solid entry!
