LD44 — Your life is currency

Jungle Magic by rsim 2019-04-29T05:02:46Z

I liked the game, but I really hated the controls... I sometimes just wanted to look around and see what was happening, but couldn't do that because there were no controls for that.

Or was that intentional?

Seed. by AVAVT 2019-05-03T09:49:45Z

The other comments have said it - this game is amazing. One thing I didn't like though was the randomness - the result of the game depended on the initial set of plants.Great job making this! Loved it.

Pucamuc by Mors 2019-04-30T14:43:04Z

Wow, really underrated entry! I loved the art and sounds, the story and sudden twists too! Rated a solid 5/5.

S:C:U:M - The AutoVore Division by WFMG 2019-05-01T14:50:53Z

Woah, this is a really cool idea but I think the execution wasn't the best.

The game missed music, some polish and the *core* of the gameplay. It took me a lot of time to figure it out, but when I did, the game wasn't really that fun. I definitely liked the sound, art (colors need improvement though) and the initial concept.

I understand the reason for this - you ran out of time. This game feels generally unfinished. However, I definitely liked what you made and definitely think it would be very fun to play if you polish it up and improve the gameplay and the overall game feel.

@coleslaughter it's fixed now! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for all the feedback!

Yeah, we didn't have much time for polish (or even implementing the main mechanics/controls correctly). The speeding-up algorithm makes the enemies spawn on decreasing intervals, but when the interval becomes negative, they stop spawning. I initially planned to add flying enemies (hence the two upper branches) but that never happened. Sorry for that

My Memories by Z_Doctor 2019-05-01T03:23:27Z

I loved the art style and the story, but, as others have said, the gameplay was a bit unpolished and certainly needs improvement.

LifeShot by kuviman 2019-05-03T16:31:20Z

Are you from the Russian AI Cup team?

Deathly Trade by Kristof Franko 2019-04-30T13:33:43Z

Awesome, very great job!

The Quest For Money by artisticlygamesco 2019-05-05T16:05:25Z

:point_up_2:

I think that you should opt out of most of the categories or at least attribute the work.

Les Pattes (The Legs) by JediNeeson 2019-05-04T04:07:06Z

I have actually played this with a team, it was really fun! One thing that could use improvement though were the graphics and terrain design. They felt a bit unpolished and bland. Overall, solid entry.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Edge of Twilight by OccultOne 2019-10-08T05:16:11Z

@occultone please add the WebGL version again. I can't play without it.

World Collector by Joe Williamson 2019-10-08T05:45:17Z

This is the best game I've seen on this Ludum Dare. Perfect polish, great mechanics and art.

Seven Dwarves Brawl by pfeyffer 2019-10-07T05:25:19Z

Very smooth animations, I didn't like the colors though. Some sound effects or music could have made the game more enjoyable.

Singularity by PixelMonkey 2019-10-07T05:36:27Z

Awesome effects, I loved it all throughout! Improving the platforming and adding some polish would make this a 5/5.

Catachresis by Kyle Farwell 2019-10-08T05:14:12Z

Woah! This is a real RPG! I didn't expect that much content for a 72-hour game...

VELOCE by torfi 2019-10-08T05:50:56Z

This has a simple gameplay polished into oblivion, and it worked! Awesome 5/5

VELOCE by torfi 2019-10-08T05:52:14Z

@torfi I think you need to rate others' games to get more ratings

Ethuzhi by Pie-Tras 2019-10-08T05:36:26Z

I didn't expect this to be so aesthetically pleasing! I found it a bit too hard though.

Shamanus and the Cursed Spirit by Robinerd 2019-10-07T15:26:34Z

Awsome graphics and ok gameplay, I think a menu/intro and some sound effects would improve the game.

Rest In Peace by William Derksen 2019-10-07T06:31:21Z

Great game, I had some trouble with playing it though. I couldn't run it in Wine, so I had to install Unity and run the source code.

The mechanics feel really polished, and the story is :ok_hand:. I wish there was more to it though.

ground zero by whycardboard 2019-10-07T12:38:55Z

The art (especially the cover) looks amazing. Unfortunately, Wine just displays a black screen.

ground zero by whycardboard 2019-10-07T15:11:11Z

@matthew-hrehirchuk yeah I totally understand

Boltzmann by Hermitao 2019-10-08T05:39:33Z

Could you build the game for web? It seems really polished and I would love to play it!

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-07T04:54:15Z

@pfeyffer oh, really? Can you try making the first snowball bigger and then make the next ones smaller by jumping while they're rolling? There's an ending :)

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-07T15:29:53Z

@calamador yeah, that happened several times during testing but I didn't find a way to fix it

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-08T09:06:27Z

@corrade yeah, I noticed them during testing too, but I didn't end up fixing them because that would require changing too much of the scene structure

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-08T13:58:02Z

@hcursino Glad you liked it!

I initially wanted to end it with an animation of a carrot and buttons falling onto the snowman's head, but ended up going for a simple ending animation

Project Snowball by neverix 2019-10-09T05:44:55Z

@nigic I got #3 once, #2 and #1 didn't happen. Weird.

Egg Farm by kuviman 2019-10-07T06:15:04Z

Great concept, took me almost an hour of playing and looking at the source code to win!

Stress reaction by hisa 2019-10-08T05:28:52Z

The art is very good, and handling stress makes for a very interesting twist on the horror genre. I'm surprised that this doesn't have many ratings.

Contraband by AdamCYounis 2019-10-08T06:46:39Z

Really polished and fun mechnics, cool artstyle, loved the "story", especially the ending.

Nascence by Calamador 2019-10-07T05:14:48Z

The art looks.... ok, but you can't enjoy it at its fullest with those sound effects, slow gameplay and dull atmosphere. The game is painfully slow, and I always had to restart the entire game if I made just one single mistake. I *did* finish it, but it was in now way satisfactory

Rebuild of Edge by Twelvoo 2019-10-07T05:19:57Z

-10/10, no linux, mac or android build in the zip.

Doesn't run on Wine, so I can't rate it.

Rebuild of Edge by Twelvoo 2019-10-07T05:49:21Z

@twelvoo That's ok, sorry! It's a Unity game, so you can just export it for Web, zip the result and put it on itch.

The Thing by Thiago Nascimento 2019-10-07T15:23:26Z

This seems awesome, but I can't play this because Wine doesn't seem to work on this. Can you try building it for Mac/Linux/Web too?

The Thing by Thiago Nascimento 2019-10-07T15:28:30Z

@thiago-nascimento why? I thought most major engines support Mac builds? I don't need a mac build (I'm on Linux), a web (HTML5/WebGL) build improves accessibility too.
