Over all very exciting theme. Some of the menus overlapped things I wanted to click on, couldn't get out of other menus once I was in them, fungus farms had the text for the other type of farm. All-in--all, good look, good idea, couldn't play much because of these UI issues.
@eupde : Were you on the WebGL or the Download? (I've pulled down the WebGL version. The UI doesn't appear to have any issues for Windows.)

@occultone please add the WebGL version again. I can't play without it.
The fact that this was completed in 72 hours is completely bewildering! Great use of the theme and I love the soothing piano melody, it could put me right to sleep but not now! I must first save my citizens!
Wow! This is incredible! Especially having such a deep game completed in such a short time! My first run through my townspeople were NOT happy with me, but I made it to the end the second time around with no deaths! A really fun game if not a little... *dark*!

I wanted to start in the game, but the text scrolls way to slow, it scales to 1920x1080 poorly, majority of the texts are very small. The sound gets repetitive and I didn't understand how to build or what is my objective. When I clicked on the texts, I couldn't find them later when I did some of the tasks mentioned in them. And forgot what the game wants from me.
I didn't get to experience full content of the game. It probably is fine for some players, but not me. It's been made in 72 hours, I understand that, but I think you should focus more on polishing some features.

I enjoyed my time with it; really reminded me of Frostpunk and I appreciate how we start without resources so the very first thing we have to do is knock down a building. I think it'd be a lot easier to get start the game if we were notified about the ability to demolish buildings first thing (maybe directly indicating the toy factory). I feel like we're intended to knock down the toy factory first since it gives so many resources and produces very little happiness, but I think it'd help reinforce the idea behind the game to make the choice a little less simple. Maybe greatly increasing the happiness production of the building so that we get an immediate, obvious feedback for destroying it (notably nothing would actually change about how the game starts, but the big change in happiness would help nail home the impact of our decisions early on).

Very interesting game, fairly deep mechanics that requires a fair amount of thinking. It's pretty difficult to figure out a tactic to survive to the end, wish I had more time but have to rate other games too. I liked the music and hand-drawn art. It was a little confusing whether the text choices you made had any in-game effect, or if they were just story elements. It'd also be useful to see building cost & resource cost/amount produced of buildings before you research them.

This was a really good game. Cute little graphics, requires thinking and is very difficult. Awesome job ya'll!

Nice game but the HTML5 link is mistaken I guess :D
@hiroboto : The HTML5 Version of the Game was super Borked, so we pulled it down, apparently the UI was super non-functional.

I think this is a really nice game and I really like it. The game is a little too hard even for the easiest settings. And with several playthrough, I found a strategy that works. Basically you start and research fungus farm immediately, store up some food early. Then research hydro electricity, then try to gather some wood and steel. When you have 3 fungus farm and a hydro power plant, then it's all set. Some issue that I found except for the ones already mentioned. In endless mode, after the round count goes to zero, your food and resources starts to automatically drop exponentially, your people starts to die strangely. Making it impossible to last even a few rounds. I think this is too harsh. Also I researched cinema but cannot build one. I don't know if it is a one time bug or not.

It's a little bit difficult to understand during the first game, but in the end, I had a lot of fun playing this game, well done guys :D

A very difficult game, in that I've no choice but destroy a building at the start of the game to begin with resources, so it's already a sacrifice that has to be made. It took me a few playthroughs to fully understand how to play, but once I got it, it's entertaining~ I seem to always have trouble after the 5th day, either my population is too happy or I don't have enough energy production. What's amazing are the few game modes that got implemented too. It's one of those game I'd keep trying until I get to the end successfully. After a gameover, I realized that I couldn't click "Restart" with left click, but had to right click it.

Also curious, I noticed that even if I don't have enough power, I can still turn the power back on in some buildings. Do they still get affected?
@lexyvil : They will usually get affected during the Upkeep phase, but it's very possible I never built the system for checking it. We cut it pretty close to the end of the jam when I added the ability to power things On and Off.
Thanks for the review!

I'm on the Windows build, on a Win10 box, and maybe it's bugged out. Nothing seems to build, researches don't tell me clearly (at all?) how many science points do anything, and it almost won't let me do any 2nd form of research, nor do I know what the requirements to research are. Clearly the first move is destroy the toy plant, borrow the workers, make 2 farms and a sawmill. But then absolutely everything seems to stall out!
That logo is vaguely reminiscent of the Firefly series xD I like this game but I couldn't get very far. I would have liked to see what you could do with this if you had had a bit more time.
