This is a really awesome game, looks lovely too, although I do slightly agree with Eli as it feels like there is no sense of progress, but to be honest I don't think it really needs it, it's a really nice little game that I could play again and again, was also nice having more than one ship variety :)
I wasn't sure from the name and description of it, but after playing it I love it, it's really addictive and fits the theme really well :)
Only thing I will pick on is the sfx were slightly annoying, but still bearable.
@sinalta You're infected and the healthy bacteria are an enemy, you infect them and then they infect each other, effectively using them as weapons.

Also with the start button show you the instructions I always do that as people don't always read the instructions so I wanted to force them on the player, apologies for that being annoying to you.
Yes thank you pekuja I'm not stupid I know the difference between viruses and bacteria, but when running with 48 hours to make a game I wanted to make something interesting, but with a time limit constraining me to certain things.
Apologies if you didn't like it, I on the other hand was very pleased with my result.
Hey Scramasax that's what I was going to do in audio and have the sound of a can shaking and then a delay on the animation and appearance of the spray.
However I couldn't make a convincing sound of a spray bottle shaking up...suppose I could have said Incoming worms style :)
Awesome game, it's extremely simple but works well, I'd love to see a more expanded version with more insults, and like devinmoore said if you could put yourself in it that'd be awesome, like photo dojo but less fighting more insulting :)

This game is awesome :) At first when I read the description I thought jeez sounds like there's a bit too much happening, but after playing it I was really impressed :)
It's a shame there was a lack of audio, but the idea was nice and works well with the theme :)
I really love this little game you've put together, not entirely sure on if the boom image fits with the style of the game though, but this is one of my favourite games of LD, it looks great, and the puzzles are well thought out, love it!
I love the visual style, when I saw some of your screenshots in your journal I wasn't entirely sure on what I thought about it, but after playing it now I've fallen in love with it, I think the fungi attaching themselves to you is great, the only thing I'll nit-pick on is the difficulty :)

Lemmings with Ladybirds! It's great, the game plays really well. Like some have said though it'd be a nice addition to have a meter for controlling speed. Also the ladybirds themselves are really cute :)
Shame about the lack of SFX but the game is enjoyable enough to let it slide :)
I totally love your game, and the fact that you made it in around 24 hours makes me insanely jealous. The scaling works really well and anyone that's played Feeding Frenzy, Katamari or Spore know exactly what to do!

I found myself waiting forever for the superhero communication device but the music was great to listen to while I waited :D
I quite enjoyed playing it :) Although I thought it was a shame that I'm too much of a nice person to do the evil things!
I didn't get re-elected so I pretty much lost? Would have been nice to have a results screen at the end, showing how badly you did and a little image of the population hating you etc.
Otherwise great way to use the theme!
I like what I'd call the Mr Bean style spotlight on the choose your villain screen :D
My favourite of the two jobs is the telemarketer, poor guy nobody seems to like him when I play, is it possible to get little ticks or is he just that bad at his job?
I also loved how different the traffic warden's job was. You've pretty much done two little games in one! Also love your VO as usual :)
Shame that it's a little buggy but it's still completely playable which is awesome!
Had a great time playing it until I ran out of cells and couldn't do anything else :) Nice looping ambient track and a nice way to go to the theme
I thought it was awesome! And the win screen was great. I liked that the Mario's seemed a little sneaky.
My only issues would be the speed that Konkey Dong moves at when put together with the quick despawn on the barrels. Otherwise loved every minute of it.
I really enjoyed it, first game I wasn't sure, but then in the second game it got really good. Although it felt a little pointless being told not to shoot certain ones as you can't fully control the guns when you've got five of them lined up and there happens to be a casualty. I really enjoyed it though! became loads of fun!

Loved the intro to the game and it all looks great.
Found it a little unfair that the squid seem to be able to move through the geometry though.
Was getting hurt a little too much at first but got the hang of it, but man is that red fish hard!
I really loved this from the start. Adding the controls to the first level as a tutorial worked really well and the controls themselves were easy to get the hang of.
Fits the theme perfectly!
@sythe & @rwos They aren't actually loading screens, they exist as a breather between games as well as a way to show you the lives. They aren't doing anything other than existing between games as the game is all loaded in on start. I was going to have music to indicate when they start and finish but I didn't have the time. They should speed up though as you keep playing, I guess I just made them a bit slow to start with.
Also @sythe I think the idea of displaying the controls on the menu screen is good, I reckon I'll add that in with any improvements I do.
Oh and @rwos sorry about the tea one, lots seem to do a hold and figure they're doing it. I should have made it a hold instead of repeatedly tap the space bar :) Holding definitely suits the gesture better, just over the weekend I thought otherwise.

Aside from that it's a great little humorous game and I know exactly where's shes coming from with he partner appearing and noticing things missing. It's a completely different game to the theme and I really enjoyed it.
Although I think as you said above the timings on dialogue can be a little long as you did it while sleepy.
Lovely little game, the art style is great and full of character!
Although it's a shame that the collision seems to be very easy to get stuck on, it lead me to my death a few times.
Really enjoyed it, I feel almost like it was a day in the life of myself, minus the basketball potentially, and the driving, but still thoroughly enjoyed.
Had no issues with the game itself and I had fun throwing a few dozen basketballs :)
I also always imagined space tea would come down on a little parachute.
Although it seemed to crash very frequently I did enjoy what I managed to play of the game. Punching those enemies is pretty hard!
Was really fun to play and great that you incorporated three different game segments into one, also it was nice with the little tower defence gameplay to be among the other two as it gave you a little bit of a breather.
Also gotta love those turtles!

Had no trouble really with the HTML5 version as I'm of course perfect at typing ;) However did have some trouble running it on my Dell XPS12. It did run fine on my desktop though so seems like potentially some issue with my graphics card maybe.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, and the audio was amazing!

I really want to play the game as it sounds great and visually looks awesome too. But when I get to dive in the water I get graphical glitches everywhere :(
Turns out the problem I was having with the game is an issue with game maker and the graphics card on my computer. I've sent them a bug about it.
But I was able to play on my desktop instead, I think your game is great, the juggling between the son and dad is fun and catching fish is very challenging but a fun enjoyable challenge.
I absolutely love the visual style you've gone with, it works perfectly even though things like the backgrounds are so simplistic, it just works :)
like the other comments it would have been nice to maybe see some differences in speed, maybe dependant on your direction, also the addition of having a sprite face the left based on movement isn't too hard to do in GM and makes a massive difference in a little platform game like this.
If you decided to expand on the game after LD at all I'd happily play it again, it's always nice to have an enjoyable and relaxing feeling game :D
To VanderZwan and TammiLion if you're running computers with an Intel HD 4400 series card I've found an issue with playing game maker games. Sadly it's only something that can be fixed if the file is re-exported to force vertex processing (although it's not really something that's advised I don't think). I've sent a bug to yoyogames about it though.
Love the voices, they're fantastic! Had to play it through as both genders!
Although thought I'd say when I played as the male and chose the damsel on the right when I fight the monster after I defeated him it crashed 2/2. Was fine when playing a lady :)
I also love how you incorporated the credits into the game :)
Slicing things is always lots of fun! Although I think I sliced it too much as then a dotted line just went from the table to the bottom of the screen. Went uber crazy with my slashing :D

Plus incorporating dreams into a game is a nice idea.
As others have said it's a shame about the lack of audio, woulda been nice to have a faint snoring sound in, maybe even when you're trying to wake up :)
Great little game, was quite hard to play though. Although visually it was lovely and fit the style of the game really well, it might have helped to be zoomed in on the view a little more so the objects weren't so tiny.
The music worked really well with it as it was very addictive and the game is a great challenge to try and accomplish.
Haha I thought it was the other way round when I looked at your game first time round. It's an interesting concept though.
I was slightly disappointed though as I did a great one, but then did another one and didn't realise it overwrites the screenshot file when you do a new one .__.
Otherwise awesome idea, nice and different :)

I thought it was awesome, the questions were great and it was interesting being thrown towards believing others were the culprit. It could of done with a little audio but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it great job on the characters too!
I think you nailed potato peeling! I think it's one of your best games so far! I agree with people saying it woulda been cool to be able to peel your hands when not holding a potato. The poor monotonous life of a potato peeler!
A nice take on the theme to incorporate the news of the weekend. The only thing I think is a shame is that the items you can dig up aren't authentic to a 2600 game ;)
But it's really cool for 10 hours work, and more people should make games that mimic those from the 2600 era!

@Vilya Yeah I know about that bug, hoping to get some time on the weekend to look at it, not got a huge amount of time during the week atm to fix it. But yeah I usually give more of a tutorial and was planning to but ran really close on time and finished a couple of minutes before the deadline, so my vague instructions had to do :)
It's totally awesome, fits the theme and is super cute! I love telling a story, although I've gone for more safe stories rather than crazy over-the-top future stories :D
The childish spelling is also a great though and your bg singing is great :D

Was a nice game to play, what would have been awesome is if there were things you needed beneath the lake so you had to switch to your reflection :)
I really enjoyed that, definitely similar to a lot of people out there. I think it fit the theme really well just in a not so obvious way.
Also love your animations and art, just lovely, really fits the mood of the game. Happy I stuck with it till the end with his monotonous life.
I really enjoyed your game, the way to play it was really clever, and the combat was nice as you were using the environment and having to time your attacks if you had enough mana left. Really clever and enjoyable to play.
As a fan of snails, woodlice, millipedes and all other little insects and creatures. Other than that your game needs more millipedes I really enjoyed it, it's super cute!

Simple but definitely hit the theme :)
At first I was so frustrated with it because of what feels like the total randomness of the debris, which makes sense, however it did make it complete chance to if you made it to the ladder. However eventually I made it! And I was happy!
It would have been nice to see the speed of the player increase over time if you successfully pressed left and right in rhythm with other :)

As always you've made a great little game. I love how you can just sit there for a while thinking you may have known what they said but aren't sure. The sound are all great!
I really loved that. Mixing the real world with games is always a nice thing to see. Although it was a shame because I almost wanted to always be in the other world.
I did have a crash after the end of the second set of real worlds when moving forwards.
For something that's kinda simple in style it works so well. I spent forever trying to figure out a calculation as I was too busy connecting the dots. Works really well! Also the art is super simplistic but works well too :)
Was really fun to play around with, a nice little adventure game within a self contained world. I really liked the connected clues although it would have been really cool to click on the clues to re-think over your investigation!

The game works really well and can get quite tricky to master, but it seems to always be accomplishable. Very good puzzle design!
The idea of moving the border is really cool and looks really good. I did find the movement and speed a fast at times but otherwise I really liked it.
Perhaps the layouts were a little simple but overall I really enjoyed the game. It was definitely something different and it ticked my boxes. Shame about the lack of audio though.
The game was super pretty although a runner game where you have such a beautiful character doesn't always fit as the player will be staring at the edge of the screen instead of your lovely character :)
The music was very nice as well, it's a shame you didn't have the time to do the other features you mentioned in the comments.
Really fun although I found the controls for the train a little hard to get used to.
But there need to be way more games about trains in space! :D
Really enjoyed playing you game, I felt so bad for the Troll! I got to 6 mushrooms before the mean lumberjacks took out all my lives in that one level. Nice little entry and it's nice to see that people are using Scratch!
For only a day you managed to make a really cute creature and a nice little dash anim that felt like it had some force behind it. You should totally try and find some time to take the game further :)
I really enjoyed that, didn't know you were taking part in Ludum Dare :) I felt like a right monster, especially cos I was the only one left alive and I didn't know where the others were :(

I really enjoyed your game, the only thing that I think would have made it a little better is distinction between the different types of buildings, just something small like signage through visual or written means so then when on the main town screen you could navigate easier. However you may have wanted to make it harder for the player with the type of game it is :)
Loved the use of Pico-8, that's not something I've come across for LD before. Enjoyed playing it, and liked the play on it's name ;)
I really enjoyed playing this and getting in your highscore table. I think it fit the theme really well, looked cute and played well.

Awesome little game, loved the character, the change in music when I transformed and the design of the puzzles, especially the last one! I only found the collision an issue once, which to be honest didn't matter as you added the reset function to work around it.
So cute! And I loved the audio and expressions! I loved how minimalistic it was too. Was also very happy to of kept with it and eaten all the humans. Would have been nice to have a bigger happy grin for eating the last one :)

I really loved your game, I loved the power ups and that it felt like a shmup where you had control of the character and camera. Boss fight was a little iffy but I strove through until I killed it! Was a shame it didn't really have an end, but the game itself was so polished anyway I don't think that mattered.
My only annoyance were the controls as there were a little too close for my fingers to find it comfortable
The art was really cute and I loved how the parts randomised in the environment, it meant with every death I got to experience lots of different modifications. I found the enemy health was quite slow at going down (when I had the gun mod) but I really enjoyed playing it!
Such an awesome little game for a compo entry! It looks amazing art and animation wise, the sounds are great and it works really well. I'm surprised you don't have tons and tons of comments. Well done! I could see this being a full game!

I thought it worked really well and even though you didn't get to polish I think the squid's eye following the mouse was a really nice touch! Which I would call polish :)
I really liked your game, the vignette on the screen was great giving an old tv look. The game was violent yet also felt like it wasn't. Plus I really liked what you did with the boss fight. I just wish it was a little more than left or right and shoot as quickly as possible.

Nice take on a match three and I like how your choices then affected the game. Plus the fact that it wasn't a bog standard match three it allowed you more control over the space. Plus I imagine that then helps remove the placement of the pieces breaking someone's game :)
I loved your little dragon he's super cute, however I did find it a little hard to get around the controls even though they sounded quite simple at first. It was definitely an interesting mechanic for controlling.
I thought your game was awesome, potentially a little sadistic but I loved it! A great spin on the theme and looked lovely with a nice array of mini games.
I really liked it, similar to other people I found it hard to remember who was guilty because I'd focus on like two people I could hunt down and kill. But I found it handy when they're re-flash again for me :)

I really liked your game! The experimented on bunny was adorable and then I laughed with each evolution of himself. I especially loved the second evo with his punching. I imagine it did control better with a gamepad but I didn't find it that bad with keyboard. Really enjoyed it and I wish it had a conclusion :)

@sP0CkEr2 It's not an installer it just runs, nothing is installed on your machine to play it
Quite enjoyed the game, I think it would have been nice to see some stars (unless you do get some, I only got to 4200 odd meters) when you got so far as it felt like the sunflower was growing into space :) You could have then added different enemies to then too :)
Also runs fine in Microsoft Edge btw :)
Really enjoyed it, although as a few others have said It think if you could fail things it woulda been awesome!
So if you could have accidentally popped the balloon in the kid's face, let all the air out of the balloon and I guess shoved the balloon in the kids face :)
Overall though looked great and the sounds were awesome too!
Finally got round to playing your game and it's well hard!
The pitch made it hard for taking my target as it wouldn't point up or down enough so I'd have to do a circle to try and catch it up.
Enjoyed turning everything into plants though :)
And getting 100 bonus points for taking out a certain cup!
Also am I right in thinking I sped up if I was closer to the sun?
I really liked it, although according to the game based off the things I'd say I'm a bad person.
I think started playing it to different types of people to get different outcomes.
I also liked that based off how you were doing your partner would leave the table when asking some questions.
I'm not sure if the bars were needed visually on screen, you could of potentially shown these changes in the scene like you did with the walking away.
Awesome little game, I liked having to judge where they'd be hitting to know which tree to grow :)

Nice simple game would work nice on a device with a touch screen. Also to up the difficulty you could have maybe added additional spawn points later on, or had the player move around the screen.

Lovely little game! I love that Zeus was randomly the bad guy, a new spin on the story. And the gameplay was nice and different.
I really think you should continue on with it and make a longer level, maybe give the player a way to pick the path that the stalk goes so if you water on the left or the right for example.
Overall really enjoyed it!
I liked the art style and the gameplay worked ok and you finished it too :)
Also as a side note I always used to use the Jam to finish off a game that I didn't quite finish for the compo, plus although I wouldn't have the Monday off work an extra few hours in the evening would really help sometimes to allow me to make something I was happier with :)

I really enjoyed your game, I liked having to balance on the last flower to get enough water in the bucket to allow me to make the last few jumps.
Completed it in 6:53, I'd say a large portion of the time was spent on the last two flowers :)

It's nice to see farming games, although at first I thought the character looked more like a cowboy, which I suppose is like a farmer? :)
On level 2 I found the game was giving me warnings about issues with things like my irrigation system and crops but wasn't showing a spanner.
I enjoyed being a good farmer :)
I loved the perk system, added a nice changeup for each time you played.
Although I found it a little too easy to dodge sometimes, and that I could just stand still.
Loved the screen rotating based off where the lasers hit you from though :)

I really enjoyed trying to man a tank with one person, it's quite hard!
Got the engine running and then got round the corner, but couldn't stop the tank soon enough so I could sort out the stuff ahead.
It's a really clever idea, maybe a form of highlighting in the world would help players understand what to interact with on the tank as not everyone will know where the engine is on the tank :) (I found it ok, but others may not)

It would have been nice to have the drunk fight back against the player every now and again, or move themselves in a random direction :)
Otherwise I think you should go back to the game and add more to it! Maybe different things to do while drunk :)

I liked the idea of the mini game, as it had two things for you to be aiming for. It was a little tough when the moon would go off screen though, sometimes I could judge where it was based off it's trajectory but sometimes it was impossible.

I really love the idea and especially the guy using his brolly to float! I thought it was ok, if you find time to in the future expand on it I reckon that would be great. Maybe instead of having dead ends have them all as strands off a main route that can connect up. I'd definitely play it again :)
Interesting game, I thought slapping would be a little different :)
I kept having my character swinging their arms when I wasn't slapping though so it was hard to know if I was slapping so I found it a little hard to win sometimes if that makes sense.
Also I managed to get my character on their side before the match was over.
Awesome little game! I love using the buttons to perform standard functions of a game.
My only quibble with it is the slight delay between performing the command and it happening which meant I had to change how to judge to perform moves based off the delays.
Otherwise it's a really clever idea and has really funny writing too!
Sorry Pixlark did you click on the console? I think I left some very old script on it. The first bit is just a little scene of what's happening. Then you pick your disguise with the left mouse button. And then in the final bit you use the keyboard to move. Are you saying you couldn't move at all in the final section?
Haha I thought it was awesome, I loved picking up the frogs with my scarily long child arms and giving them a kiss. Loved the art and audio as usual :)
The game looks awesome, the idea behind it was interesting and a little tricky at first but was easy to get the hang of :)
I really enjoyed playing this and seeing what stories I could create.

I really liked the use of using the old footage, and the control in the occasional clips is really good.
I'd love to see more of this! It's just a shame it ended so quickly
I loved the music worked so well and was a nice chilled out atmosphere. I also like to feel I got so good at it!
Worked really well and I loved the extra challenge when there were three in a small space.
Execution as always Gary was great! really felt like it worked together well, felt well space!
Great first entry! I really enjoyed the speed up from doing well, although it could have helped if the camera was slightly angled more as I found I had to change to the cylinder a lot in order to see what was coming next sometimes :)
Overall really enjoyed playing it! :)
Wow that was an awesome little game. I could totally see myself playing it as an actual released title. You could take it really far, as long as you made sure to balance the puzzle's curve a little.
Also I loved the use of Fur Elise in it. I'll have it stuck in my head for the rest of the night :)
This is a really good first entry!
I like the twitch style nature of it, although at times it was a little unforgiving.
Also the animations between the character types looks great, and the animal types you chose are easily distinguishable to what they serve as a character which is great!
Haha that was awesome, I felt the timer was a little bit harsh but I managed to rush around and talk to everyone.
I was happy it paused while you were talking though as at first I was about to rush through a conversation. I love how the text is rendered in game as well, just a shame it's harder to read, I imagine the reason for having the 2d text too.

It took me a little while to figure out how the red one helped me until I noticed the big one fading away, but I actually quite liked it in the end. It's pretty simple but it works nicely.
Awesomely addictive game, love that it's an interesting spin on WarioWare and I love seeing the cuttle fish transform into things. I just wish there could be a couple more options sometimes :) But I understand the challenge is in figuring out the word to use.
