So the first time I opened it, none of the buttons worked.
Second time, there were subtitles (which there weren't the first time), but they were partially under the green guy. And then when I got to the brown screen, none of the keys worked again.
Sorry Pixlark did you click on the console? I think I left some very old script on it. The first bit is just a little scene of what's happening. Then you pick your disguise with the left mouse button. And then in the final bit you use the keyboard to move. Are you saying you couldn't move at all in the final section?

The audio is awesome, I want to guess that the sound when you have your ship up and running is a microwave???
I love the different alien parts you can come up with, I made my disguise awful on purpose cause I couldn't resist a big brain with eyes and a tophat :D though the indigenous aliens didn't seem to mind me too much, they just crowded around me :)

Loved the little intro! The game was pretty simple but the art and sounds made it work for me.
the story was nice told, intro and outro well polished, but the actual gameplay was not that intense :)

Considering this is a compo and you had to create all of these assets / audio in a short time. Hats to you!
Entering key inputs at the starts makes the game do all sorts of bugs. Creature creation was neat.
Love the Microsoft Paint-like graphics!! Looks like my game, but better!
This reminds me of all the old space quest games, verys similar artwork.
Absolutely awesome! I had to whip out Audacity, record the audio and play it backwards because I knew there was a hidden message in there. You put your thing down flipped it and reversed it :-). The hunt of figuring out what the alien was saying was quite enjoyable. Well done!
