lol
A little confusing, but ultimately a pretty neat puzzle game!
Pretty interesting, good job! :)
Unexpectedly difficult and fun, good job!
DON'T KILL THEM! Pretty intense game. Controls were a bit difficult to master, but otherwise pretty darn good! Well done!
I love the aesthetic! The idea is really good and fits so elegantly with the theme. Well done!
That was quite challenging! Well done. The random level layout kept it fun to keep trying!
I found him! Quite challenging. I like the paint art :)
Fun stuff, reached the end of the screen before I could get the password in there (after deducing it!). :) Well done.
what a fun puzzle. great use of the theme!
Fantastic.
Wow this game is strangely addicting. I love the sound of the swarm just taking out the mobs. Great job!
Ha, what a funny song/game. I love the sounds of the dude. Like the global leader board. Well done!
Mood was great! I like the tie into Alice and Wonderland! The controls and movement were quite interesting... it had the feel of moving a block around the screen without gravity, but was full on platformer. I just liked the feel of it. Well done!
Yeah I though clicker games were done! Nice job :)
At first I was a little confused, I thought it was way to easy. After I realized the W A S & D don't stop this game got INTENSE! Really awesome game, way to go!
I can't seem to get to this one... get 500 error when trying to download from dropbox.
Bomberman :)
I like the illegal download count, classic!
Love the terminal look! I might need to check your source on how to do that :). I was terminated for leaving my post! Ha, Glory to OUR LEADER! Well done!
Absolutely wonderful. So simple, and yet very challenging. I like the looks on the snowman's face. Great Job!
I really like the dual screen concept, very innovative! It did take me a while to realize I was actually doing damage when I encountered an enemy, but after that it was good fun. Well done!
Well polished! Wonderful little space invaders type game. Well done!
Banking on the snowman theme? :) Was a lot of fun. Great mood with the snow falling and music. Liked the pew pew's :)
HA! That was fun. Took me a while to realize that the popsickles turned into poop. Well done!
Very good game. What a great way to teach yourself to recognize signs.
Very nicely polished game. I love the dot matrix style gameboy kickback look and feel. Z/X controls were a bit quirky for me, but overall very good!
This game was fun. When I got the santa hat I was pretty happy... However, the snowmen came so slow it was hard to stay interested for very long. GO CATSPOUTINE!
Keeping the light going and guiding you through the level that way was a good touch. I eventually hit a place where I had a hard time jumping over some spikes. Until I got to that point I was eager to see what was ahead! Well done! :)
The aesthetics of this game are fantastic. The music fits with the task at hand. It was a little difficult trying to understand what you need to do, but once you explore it a bit it makes sense. Well done1
I love the way the guy spawns with the ship docking, you even thought of the the airlock! Tripped me at first when there was not normal platformer jumping, but it is space right? Liked the way the bodies disassemble on death. Nicely done.
Ninja is quite slippery! I think the controls match with his ninja-ness though. Well done!
I wish there was an element of strategy in the game. Otherwise I like the layout and the idea of dot v dot action!
Oh man the horde! HOLY CRAP I yelled when they spawned! Hard to fight them with the the single slow repeat shot >.<
Nice well polished game. Fun to play!
faster shooting! otherwise good gamev for 48 hours :)
Hard to figure out what to do... I died to a lawn mower though, that is something!
Well things went to hell really fast... but I love the challenge! Well done. I wish I could figure out how to get that retro screen like shader in my games.
I wish you were ranking on humor. It was quite hilarious to see chad'd head get bigger and bigger talking like an idiot!
Wow that is hard! I like how the snowman's head will continue on after it's body has been taken out. That was a nice effect. I like the style of the graphics. There were very few times that hitting the snowman's hat 2 times actually killed him. I think some audio would have been nice to have, maybe some quick sounds from sfxr. I think it really would add to the game :). Well done for learning C at the same time.
Also thank you for the kind words on my game. I am sure there are others out there like and better than mine. I think I am going to flesh out the idea a bit and try to turn it into a full game.
I also really like the title you put on the window, well done!
Oh wow i didn't realize how hard it would be to find the keys with only one hand... having to control the mouse and all. Very well done. I like 'shutdown' as the exit. Pretty darn cool :)
I really liked the way the screen frames the game... it looked quite cool.
Hard to find things in the dark! :) Like the idea though.
Great retro graphics/audio. The aliens look a bit like little pigs! I likes the controls. I like the circular level use to go with the theme. Quite awesome is this game!
Nice take on pac man!
That was incredibly fun! I enjoyed screaming into my mic to get the ball to drop :). It was a really innovative idea and great use of theme. Well done!
BANG BANG! BANG BANG! You have to love the sound effects :) Controls are a bit clunky but if they weren't it wouldn't be as fun. Good job!
Great graphics, solid audio, neat use of the theme. A bit of a learning curve, but otherwise a solid game. Well done!
Ha what a cute game. Love the sounds! Well done :)
Duckies! That is quite the unconventional weapon! I like the quacking noises. :)
It does have an end. All done in MonoGame.
The bullets looked a little bit like mice running around after they shot through the wall lol. I like the concept was well done! :)
This is an incredibly good start to a game, please polish it up and release it! I had a lot of fun slinging from plat to plat while avoiding the guys with the guns. It would be cool if you could use the sling to grab them and pull them off the platforms instead of it killing them. Very well done!
Fun take on the classic space invaders. The ancient aliens guy was a great way to end it. Using dinosaurs as weapons is very unconventional. Well done! :)
Solid graphics and audio, controls need some work, but well done otherwise!
Fantastic game! Using magnets to push or attract things is genius and a good use of the theme. Audio is great, well done!
I really really liked using the mirror effect with the light through the mirrors... that was a cool mechanic. All in all well done!
I laughed pretty hard. I killed Marty a lot. Liked the music. Well done :)
Really great game! Platforming tower defense is something I haven't really seen. 5/5 on innovation :)
Ahh! i was killed by gorgon >.< Interesting use of the mirror reflection and stuff. Well done. Is they guy mostly nude?
Wow that was really really awesome the way you incorporate the keyboard as a guitar. Top score on innovation, well done!
Really cool tower defense concept. Takes a while to understand, but otherwise really fantastic game for 48hrs :)
I really like the idea. The graphics are good. Controls are a bit clunky. Good job! :)
This is a really awesome concept, the simplistic battle system of paper rock scissors mixed with the play style of a roguelike is genius. Well done.
Creating my sword was the most delightful experience :-) Well done!
Flowers? Cows? Carrots? How can you not love this game? I just can't get over how fun it was to defeat cars and planes with cows :) Well done!
Hah! I love The Big Lebowski and enjoy the use of it here. :) I agree you should add some audio, sfxr/bfxr is pretty easy and would have added a lot! Otherwise well done!
I really like the sound of the pies hitting things... that was aesthetically very pleasing. I wish I could rate you on audio! Quirky and fun, well done! :)
This is a fantastic game, you really should release this on console :)
I agree, different but rewarding to type out attacks. Kind of like doing an old text based game, but with graphics. Well done :)
HA! Testosterone as a weapon. Classic :) Well done!
Oh man Ranch Dressing is so darn hard! I like how the graphics reflect its silly nature. The sounds of the guy were classic. Well done! :)
You weren't kidding on it being difficult! Great concept, good use of theme. I really really like the way your menus worked, that was a brilliant touch. Well done! :)
Funny game, interesting, but I could not win a fight for the life of me! Well done though!
Fun little puzzle game! I think you could speed up the mouse moving through the pipes a bit, but otherwise really fun. Well done!
I wasn't able to get the shield up? But any game I can squash some bugs in is a game I like :)
Fun little pin ball style game :) Well done!
Pretty fun little game. I like the feel of the plane flying. Well done!
Really great game. Graphics and audio rock, style is awesome. Well done!
I almost teared up a bit walking through this. Despite not being a real 'game' you've built something special here. Well done :)
Hah, this was just fantastic. My button did not win though :(
You should finish this out, there is some potential. Kind of like a tower defense mixed with a ryhthm game. I like the art style.
Hard to get a handle on that little mass! Difficult. Great use of the theme.
I was pretty confused at first, but this is a pretty stellar game. Very difficult to keep pace. Well done.
I like the ship movement and overall feel of the game. Good job.
At first I thought this would be too simplistic, but not controlling the rate of fire added a good amount of challenge to the game and I enjoyed it. Well done.
SO MANY MINIGAMES! :) It was hard to tell the shooters apart on the space cops one. I really liked the bottle blaster one, that was pretty cool. Well done :)
Loved making my nation great again :). Great art/audio. Some of the cards/results were funny. Good job :)
Hmm, that's weird. It seems to work ok for me. I wonder if it would be ok to add some alternative keys. If this happens to anyone else I'll do that.
Thank you for the feedback, edited the description of the controls to note holding down a direction and pressing and releasing the other... hoping that will help.
I really really enjoyed the style of this game, I would refer to it as "old school" in a good way :). Great audio/graphics. I also really liked the countdown when you hold the escape to exit the game. That was a lot better than a "are you sure" or just exiting. I may steal that for my future games :)
Very hard game, but that makes it extremely fun. Love the idea of drifting for this theme. Well done.
Very cool take on 2048! Well done :)
Particle effects/graphics and audio were very good. Good job!
Well done! Great story telling and graphics/audio to boot.
Really cool, essentially a 1 button game but I see what you did there. Very well done!
Fun little platformer, well done! And kudos for the intro two button control mini game :)
Ha! This isn't at all addicting (sarcasm). The mechanics took a bit to figure out at first but once I got them down it was great. Very challenging. Well done.
Hard to use the controls, but I like the idea. I really liked the sound of the guy moving around.
Really great game. I did try at least a little while without the manual, but yeah, I had to use it :). Very cool, well done!
Dissociating your mind from what the keys mean vs what you have on the screen is difficult, challenging. Very good. Plus, I like a fellow MonoGame developer :). Well done!
Nice take on pinball, I really like how the ball passes through levels. Well done!
At first I found the controls difficult to use, but I realized that the level design accommodated for places where the controls were tricky. Well done with the themes.
All your base are belong to us! I liked the idea. Thank you for adding the ability to speed through the story. A score of some sort would be good. Well done :)
Wow really awesome/challenging game. Great use of the theme! Good job!
Cool use of the theme. Killing the aliens was quite satisfying :) Well done :)
My #1 favorite game title so far. Blobitronica is just fun to say :). Good use of the theme. Great job.
Liked the parallax effect with the stars, the game progression, and the GAME OVER screen effects. Was a bit frustrating that I couldn't spin the guy fast enough, but otherwise good job!
Pretty good concept. Other than the occasional buggyness it is pretty good. Well done!
Would be nice if there was another way to distinguish larger fish from smaller fish than just the cursor color. Other than that it was fun to swim around. I like the ambient audio.
I didn't really understand what to do... The tutorial screen I saw in your second image never appeared. I really liked the story and the concept though, and the graphics were pretty good. :)
Fun take/twist on an arkanoid style game, frustratingly fun trying to get that ball into that cup! Well done :)
I really liked the idea of using shooting as a means of thrust in as well as shooting. Well done!
Very difficult! I wasn't able to get anywhere. I did appreciate the graphics/audio, style, and humor of the side messages.
I bought a farm! :)
I really liked the mood of this game. The audio was nice and well placed with the game. Well done.
Ha, I laughed pretty hard at the revenge phase. Great idea, well done!
Absolutely fantastic choose your own adventure game. I really enjoyed the writing. Well done :)
I really enjoyed this gets so difficult after you add even just 1 other color. Love that you got global leaderboards. I missed that you could delete the "Guest" part. Great job!
I don't really understand half of what is going on in this game, but I can't help but be entertained. There is something about being a potato and collecting potato dollars that I can't help but love. Well done!
Incredible. Well done!
The concept here was really cool. Getting the thing positioned wasn't very smooth. Need some dampening or something. Otherwise, good idea and well done!
Interesting little game. I like the thematic elements here :) Well done!
Not bad for 6 hours! Found it hard to control the snake, but it makes sense given the 2 button control theme. I pressed d immediately and ran the thing into the wall unexpectedly. I wasn't looking at the controls from the snakes perspective. What was your original idea?
Absolutely awesome! I had to whip out Audacity, record the audio and play it backwards because I knew there was a hidden message in there. You put your thing down flipped it and reversed it :-). The hunt of figuring out what the alien was saying was quite enjoyable. Well done!
Awesome game! Well polished all around and very challenging. Well done!
Liked the graphics, and it was pretty fun to pee at the ghost :)
Very fun! *Spoilers* I was very conflicted when it came time to either attempt to kill the king or go kill the dragon. That decision had so much weight it took me a while to decide. I think I made the correct decision as the king is dead now (not by my blade)! Awesome job on this! :-)
This is a pretty fantastic game. Would love to see a leader board :-) Hit level 40 before I died out. One thing I was really craving was to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the block. Solid entry all around. Well done!
Love the use of perspective here. Nice take on space invaders. Well done!
Lol, wonderful dialog :)
Top mark for mood. Challenging game, you really need to pay attention to the details to find the mimics. Well done!
Solid puzzle game, very well done!
Which version? You may need DirectX or OpenAL installed
Sorry to hear that Itay, ugh... maybe I need to go back to JavaScript or try Unity >.<
Interesting use of the theme. Those plants are hungry!
Great start on a stealth like game. Really enjoyed the aesthetics. Well done!
Really enjoyed the claw action. Getting hit is pretty brutal though! Well done :-)
Took a little bit to figure out the controls. Is there a way to fire with the keyboard? I hooked up an xbox controller and then things came together. Nice little twin stick shooter. Really liked the visual style. Well done :)
Really interesting puzzle game. At first I was like.. wah? Then I was all like.. oh? Finally.. oh neat! Well done!
Liked the art style... and hey, easy fart jokes are welcome :-)
Well, I downloaded cygwin, gcc, make, and did everything just to play this :-). It was very flickery? in cygwin, but I wouldn't hold that against you. The shooting mechanism was really very cool. You've got the seed to an awesome game here if you add some progression/story. Very well done :-)
Wow, very cool concept and twist on the traditional Tetris formula! The audio was a bit, overwhelming?, but otherwise a solid entry. Well done!
Boom! Satisfying to shape-shift. Well done!
Ahh so hard! Great job :)
Not much to rate here, but high marks on the sweet human/sheep animation. That was well done. Also, sometime it is just fun to jump around :-)
Fun little game, really enjoyed Lequestrius' many states. Well done! :-)
Chicka chicka chicka! :-)
Great job on your first Ludum Dare game! I really liked the concept here. Without much explaining I somehow knew what to do... really cool. Keep up the good work!
Fun little game, well done :)
Fun little game, the menu where you select your warrior was a little hard to tell what was going on, but other than that things were pretty good. Well done :)
Great job, high marks on innovation :-)
Hah! Wondered how long it would take to see my first Trump game... well done! :)
I am convinced it must be possible to time a 4 hole jump and succeed but after many attempts I couldn't land it! I'll have to try again later. Really enjoyed the soothing music and love the artsy night mode graphics. Well done!
Wowsers, that is incredibly difficult! Nice concept, great job :-)
I really like the graphics and feel of the game... took me awhile to understand how to work the pattern matching system, but other than that it was well done.
Good use of the theme. A bit difficult to get the mechanics down at first, but once you have them it is all good. Well done!
Really enjoyed the art and the overall art style :). Was hard to hit those things on the ground with the one guy. Good job! :)
I enjoyed the mood of this game, very nice. Well done :)
Neat mechanic shapeshifting ships to fire on certain types of enemies, well done!
Great game, love the audio/sounds effects and the overall look/feel. Well done!
Ahh, at first I was like.. what you click on triangles? But then, the catch! Well done :)
Wow, this is fantastic... I'd love to see where you take it. Well done!
lol, frustrating switching back and forth. I think with a bit of music to set the tone and some feedback for moving around you might be on to something :-)
The unit swarming was cool. Well done :)
Fun little game, hard in a good way. The orientation of the controls make it challenging. Well done :)
Nice little game, very difficult with the little people shifting rooms. Great entry, well done!
Very awesome! Music matched up to gameplay well. The graphics were great. Lots of juiciness. Well done!
Very cool idea, the mechanic was really neat. Funny, would also have worked for the 3rd runner up theme "Control the environment not the characters". Well done!
ain't nobody got time fo dat! :) Fun hacks though!
Wow, this is extremely awesome take on a clicker game. Loved the combination with rpg elements. I spent way too much time clicking, and almost forgot to come back and give you some top marks :-). Well done, honestly one of my favs this jam, great job!
Cute little story of a sandwich trying to invent himself :). Fun stuff, and kudos for using XNA, I'm pretty fond of it. Pro tip you may want to share so people don;t have to worry about installing.. there is a stand alone executable in this directory: .\Little Sandwich\Little Sandwich\Source Code\LDJAM37\LDJAM37\LDJAM37\bin\x86\Debug. Good job!
Well put together graphics and audio. It felt very much like a certain SNES game I once played (can't remember the name). Solid entry, love the viking theme, well done!
This game was very enjoyable. I loved the how the audio and graphics gave it a retro feel. It really reminds me of something, but I can't place it. Fantastic entry, well done! And kudos for using MonoGame, I am quite fond of the framework myself :)
I thought your game made good use of the theme. I don't really like all the walking around in RPG games so this was right down my alley. I found it difficult to devise any sort of strategy, but perhaps I am not persistent enough? Great job!
Played well for a little while and seemed quite good. I really enjoyed the audio. I wouldn't put yourself down like you are, you're not a terrible dev, it's not easy building a game in 48 hours, and this is a good entry! Well done!
Like the concept. A little annoyed that I found a key but it didn't seem to unlock the first few locked things I found >.<. FYI it seemed twitchy in Edge, switched to Chrome and it was fine (why am I using Edge in the first place?).
My original upload required you to unblock a .DLL in addition to the .exe. I hope that this was the issue and not something else. I've since merged things in so you don't need to do this anymore and updated the release. Please let me know if you continue to have issues. I'll work on a GL version as a backup.
Its possible Splendidus, but not obvious... a drawback to the game for sure. The hero has a larger attack range and is faster so you may swoop in, attack, and then get out before they attack you. Lots wrong with the battle mechanic, but thank you for the feedback :)
Great little multiplayer game! Well done :)
It took me a round or two to learn the rules, but once I did I found this game quite fun. Interesting decisions about where to move to maximize my baby defending duties brought the fun factor. My only critique would be to make the "you cant move here" noise a little less annoying. Other than that, very well done!
Epic intro :)
Neat story :) Great job on building mood.
Really very neat game. Well done!
Awesome game! It took me a while to get the clue, subtle on one of them. Epic win when I finally figured it out. Music built up the suspense. Mood was stellar. Well done!
Great entry. Has a lot of the same problems as my own entry in terms of being able to attack without being attacked and know when you're being damaged. That being said, with a little tweaking you have a really good game on your hands. Well done :)
I finished all the levels, yay! Great job on this. I feel like you have the foundation to a very good puzzle game here, but I feel you need just one more thing to get it there. The solutions were a bit too obvious. There needs to be a few more... "if I do this then this then this... nope, okay what about this.. but if i do that.. then oh, yeah.. I got it!"... moments.
Forgot to mention, kudos for using MonoGame. I'm also a fan! I'd be interesting in seeing the level editor. May be worth adding it to the distro (I didn't see it there if it was). Cheers!
Challenging! The numerous enemy patterns kept things quite interesting. Well done!
Fun game. Graphics were excellent, gameplay was exciting, audio was a bit harsh at first, but fit the game. Well done!
This is an education game as well as a puzzle game. Normally I don't like education games, but this game rocks. I actually learned a bit, thank you :)
The zoom in mechanic as you couldn't find books was really neat. Well done! :)
Very cool! Took me a bit to grasp the concept, but once I got it was very intriguing. Well done!
Fun little mining game, well done! Collecting gems like a boss :). I may have missed it if there were, but it would be nice not to have to use the mouse :p.
I really enjoyed this game... despite landing only 3 start :p Simple and fun!
Before even starting the game, have to give high marks for the "Common Concerns" section of the manual. It is nothing short of brilliant as it both addressed any feelings I was having about the game and referenced one of my favorite existentialists, just awesome. Well done!
This game is fantastically polished for a compo. I really enjoyed the voice over, concept, graphics, audio, mood, etc. A bit more time on the gameplay and you've got something solid here. Well done!
You should remove that disclaimer. You, sir or mam, are an artist. :)
Hah, this was fun! I got near the end and one little jerk was hiding in a Hobbit Hole in New Zealand, but I hunted that little guy down and nailed the game. Good stuff, well done :)
I really enjoyed this, evoked emotion and thought... I'm happy I played :)
Wow, neat variant of pong! Well done! :-)
Reminds me a lot of ADR. I had a similar experience this LDJAM dumping my original idea about 2 hours to deadline and morphing it into a "clicker" style game, so I feel you! Regardless, you did a great job with this :)
Welcome to Ludum Dare, addicting isn't it? :-) Great little first game! I found the controls a tad clunky, but this is really good for a first game. Well done!
@amras0000 thank you for the comments! I had intended to show everything you lose on acceptance of the consequences, but cut it because of time constraints. It's good to know that was a direction. I should have taken 😀. The numbers do show percent chance of happening (assuming I coded it correctly). The game depends on randomness far more than I had hoped. Things I can probably solve in a post compo effort. I appreciate the thorough feedback. Cheers!
@jimbly thank you for the feedback. You are absolutely right. The placement of settlements doesn't really have any impact to game play (unfortunately). The original concept was to force the settlements contiguous, and then, based more on a zombie theme than I ended up with, the tiles around your settlement would become increasingly risky requiring you to buff up your group more and more between settlements. I also wanted to have points-of-interest that you could settle near (construction yard, hospital, etc) that would affect resources... so much I wanted to do, but as most things go with LDJAM a lot has to be cut with a 48 hour deadline. Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it :)
I cannot begin to describe how much I enjoyed this game. Not only did it have a great parody song, but I also learned quick maths. BOOM. Alright, this game was quite the experience. Dialog was entertaining. The mood was spot on. It captured the essence of the fun and sadness of bar hop perfectly. Great game, top marks Lloyd :)
The puzzled are well designed. The music & sfx are whimsical. This is really great game. Plus, I really love finding other games built on MonoGame :)
This game was absolutely delightful and clever. I literally laughed out loud when I realized how dementia afflicted me. I was a bit skeptical at first when I realized there were a small number of "puzzles" that all had the same shape, but when it hit me what you were doing I couldn't help but be surprised and delighted. I played up to the last phase and I just couldn't do it, as you said it is almost impossible! I went as far as to open another tab during blindness to try and retrain myself on the sequences. Well done! High marks all around :)
Really loved the concept and the use of the theme. The aesthetic & graphics are great.
Who knew herding cats could be so much fun! :)
I was excited to play this when I saw your post on Twitter. It did not disappoint. The gameplay is fantastic. I love the aesthetic and mood. Well done!
Fun little game. There was something oddly satisfying about how the duck moved. Well done!
I never thought I would encounter a game that accurately captures the frustration I've experienced shoveling my driveway. Awesome use of the theme. Great job on your first LDJAM!
@pkenney describes my own feelings to the T. I really enjoyed this game and the experience it created for me. Like @pkenney I also spawned too close to a stairs once and lost a level. Other than that this is a solid entry. Great job!
Great job on the theme. I can't believe how difficult it is to keep all 4 of them going. Well done!
There is a special place in my heart for other games that use MonoGame! Great job on your first jam entry and getting something out the door. You have a lot of solid fundamentals built here (you're focus on MVP). One thing I would suggest (which helped in my own en-devours) is watching The Art of Screenshake https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U. You've got some of the element of a game that feels really good, but a couple of small additional elements would do a lot (screenshake on damage, larger projectiles, etc). I also had a hard time distinguishing between things I should hit that are good and things I needed to kill. Updating the sprites to make this more apparent would up the quality a lot too. I liked the audio, but was also happy you allowed a mute button (which I used on the title screen to focus on what is going on). Text in an action/arcade game like this is hard to focus on. Visuals/Icons would be a better way to convey some of the information. All things considered you should be proud of what you were able to accomplish in the compo. Well done! :)
Aesthetic really brings me back to Robotron. It was easy to distinguish enemies from collectibles, which is well done. It was a little too easy to hit the walls, but other than that a great nod to classic games. Good job! :)
Impressive art style & mood. The coughing added to the atmosphere but got a bit annoying after a while. Otherwise a solid entry. Well done!
It took me a while to understand the rules, but it eventually clicked. Love seeing a game made with the raw power of C :). One suggestion is to package the binary up into a release on github with a direct download. It took me a second to realize the source also had the exe with it. Cheers!
Ha, I chuckled pretty hard at "Use C++ they said, 'it's faster' they said". I liked the isometric board. I wish the game was paced a bit faster, but otherwise a solid entry. Well done :)
I really enjoyed the audio. Its just fun playing a game where voice is used as an sfx generator :). I do agree with @r33an1 the meteorites following you would add a whole new level to the gameplay. I also really enjoy parallax starfields which would bring up the ambiance a level. Great job with picking up Unity so quickly :)
The audio and mood on this game were exceptional. You did a great job of capturing the experience of being alone in the dark with monsters lurking. I thought the graphics were well done as well. The gameplay itself wasn't all that intense, but you really provided an experience. Well done :)
Haha, top marks on humor. Yes, I am embarrassed of my fang size :P
I really enjoyed this game. There was a lot of depth in what is a fairly simple game, which is great! One thing that would be nice to add is an indicator when you start to show you where you are. I realize it is the same place every time, but I still got lost starting over :P Other than that, well done!
I really enjoyed launching the hammer!
I liked your interpretation of the theme, I had a hard time understanding how to interact with things. Still, great job getting this published for the jam!
Great job at finishing another one! I agree the controls are a bit clunky. Despite not finishing the "sacrificing" part I like the direction you're headed. Also nice to see you using MonoGame again. If you want some ideas on how to speed up the development a bit (maybe?) hit me up some time :)
Are you trying to make me cry? This game is brutal! But, great! :) I like the use of theme. Mood is awesome. The mechanic for launching the ducks is a bit tricky at first, but all good. Well done!
Awesomesauce! Tops marks for innovation. Would love to see some refinement so things feel more fluid, faster. Great entry, well done!
This is really cool, top marks for innovation. I desire the take-control mechanism to be a little easier to enact... maybe an area of effect or something. You have something here, planning on a post-compo on it?
@bloodyaugust thanks for the feedback. I mistakenly build the thing as a standalone dotnetcore 3.1 release thinking in the back of my head "what if someone doesn't have the runtime?" I probably should have just pushed the normal build :P. I use to be more diligent about rating other games and trying to get feedback, but in recent years I've mostly just done LDJAM for the pure enjoyment of the challenge, and haven't invested much time in afterwards of playing & rating. I know I won't get a score, and I'm okay with that. I had my fun :)
