Hilarious mechanic! Great Job! :D

Hilarious mechanic! Great Job! :D
Wow, very polished graphics-wise! Took me a while to get the hang of the controls, but managed to figure it out after a while :D Great Job!
Very nice! I used the "swinging" mechanic for my entry as well, but went in different directions. Always nice to see how people come up with different ideas :)
Had a problem with the WebGL version thought. Only saw black when I started the game. The battery and Menu was shown but as soon as the game started only Black until the battery would run out and then some read would appear just before dying.
Looks quite polished for such a short time! Some bugs and difficult to figure out at first but very nice once I figured it out ;)
Nice little game :) One thing: Moving diagonally is much faster than just left, right up or down ;)
Very nice game! Gameplay is quite solid and the graphics are beautiful!
Love this! Especially the graphics and particle effects are beautiful! I'm sure it's not your first time if you can produce something this polished in such short time. Great Work!
Wow nice work, a lot of different elements to this game. Hope You keep on improving on it post-compo!
Great game! Nicely done :) Had some trouble starting it too but worked on the second try.
Fun game. And quite complex for such a short time. My incompetence killed everyone the first tries because I had no idea what was going on. Also, on game over the game gets stuck for me and I have to reload (which is a pain with Unity :P ). But it's still a job very nicely done!
Nice game! Aiming was a little difficult but I liked the graphics and sounds :)
Very nice little game :) Definitely reminded me of asteroids but the gathering added a nice mechanic. Loved the sound too!
Took me a while to figure this out. Great concept though, especially love the scenery and mood of the graphics you're using!
Good job, looks really nice and is quite fun as well! I would suggest adding some friction to the meteors ( even though it's space) or giving the Mining beam some attracting, I kept pushing the meteors away while mining them ;)
Sound was awesome! Couldn't really figure out when to bribe or not before coming to the comments. Great Effort on the art as well!
Thought the map was a bit confusing at first, but after getting fired once I managed to understand it ;) Fun game, and graphics look very nice as well!
Great graphics and visuals but like others said gameplay is lacking a little. Hope you get around to that post-compo ;) Great work though!
Very nice progression. Beginning felt like a really simple first attempt at a game due to the simplicity but got quite engaging later :) Good job!
Lol funny game! Think the movement should be stronger though, I felt like the bunny moves too slow to actually dodge something
Quite unique concept, but took me a while to understand whats going on. Love the visuals too, Good job!
Audio was a little repetitive but loved the graphics and very unique and fun gameplay :) Also very impressive level progression for such a short time!
@cynical-monkey I had the same idea about making the stars/time move backwards if the sun moves backwards, but I felt like that mechanic would take me too long to get working. I might implement it after the Compo :)
@frostdragonliz If you hit meteors with the earth (the blue thingy) you will lose health. If you hit them with the sun you gain energy :) Other than that you gain energy by keeping the sun rotating (clockwise) around the earth. Every full rotation completes a day and grants you 10 Energy.
Thanks everyone :)
@thorneto At a certain point it actually gets easier because the Meteors give more Energy, so that you can heal pretty much non-stop by clicking. Works until the meteors one-hit you :D
Great job on the graphics! Like tinykidtoo said, gameplay could use some tweaking to make it more interesting, but well done :)
The player should be stopped from leaving the scene.. I love the mood/effect of the music and art, but I wish everything was larger, I could barely read the font. Very nice work though!
Love the graphics You used!
Haha Great Game! Cars drive about as reckless as they do in GTA :D Great atmosphere with fitting art & music! Very nice job!
Very fun and innovative! :-) It's very difficult from the beginning though and the controls feel a little clunky, took me a couple of tries to get even past the third wave ;) Great Job altogether!
Nice Little Game :-) Mechanics remind me of those old 3x3 sliding puzzles where you have to complete a picture. I don't really understand by what logic the Blue stones move though. Also, Reload Scene seems to always restart Scene 1, not the scene currrently selected. Great Job, definitely has potential to be further developed into a full puzzle game!
Haha I usually don't know what to rate for "humour". I do know for this entry :)
Great job, although I felt the tasks were all a little too long considering they were all rather tasks of the type "do this annoying thing for a while so that you can see how the story progresses". Story was enticing enough to do them anyways though ;)
Reminds me of Qwop. Although MUCH easier to pick up :) Great job!
Great game and well implemented! :D Couldn't make it past 28 beers. Just a suggestion but I feel like a "bottle-opening-sound" would've been a nice addition every time a new bottle appears ;)
Wow! For 48 Hours this has great polish and feels very balanced. Also apart from taking a minute to figure out that I break boxed with "K" it was incredibly easy to pick up. Played a good 3 Minutes on my first try :)
Great Job, very fun idea :) I don't know what everyone else is talking about it being too easy. I was struggling from the beginning but maybe it's time for bed for me ;-)
Great job :) Like you said it's not really finished and missing some possibility of failure but it's a good start :)
Thanks for the kind feedback everybody :-)
@mrphil , Thanks, I was trying to implement it in a way that if you play safe you can survive almost for ever, but if you want to score quicker you'll have to take risks. Glad it somewhat worked out ;) Was planning on adding bread and only spawning other ducks and letting ducklings grow everytime you eat bread. Unfortunately didn't have time to. I only implemented the mechanism of the chicks growing at all like an hour before the deadline. Before that the game had even less aim :P
@peculiarcarrot , You wouldn't believe how many chicks haven't made it through development :'(
@kkneville , Thanks for pointing that out, turns out it was a typo. Now I just noticed that I maybe shouldn't have pushed the fix on the branch I've submitted to the compo :P Will try to seperate that later so that the entry is in the state it was at 3am :)
@great-bobleny , Thanks ! That's a pretty high score. Much higher than I've ever done myself :D
@mess110 I just added a post-compo version where you can knock the crocodiles by hitting the back of their heads!
@xynal , @taiku, @saucygames, @tay, @radmccool, @alottabit, Thanks for your feedback :-) You're all right, the crocodiles were too easy, I added snakes and made the crocodiles more dangerous in the post-compo version.
Everybody else: Thanks for playing and leaving such kind feedback. I very much appreciate it :-)
Very cool idea! :) A nice addition would be a nicer visual indicator of what types are needed/ overpopulated at each point. But great job for a jam ;)
Fun idea, didn't have any problems winning without any planning so it could have been a little more challenging ;) Great Entry though! Also, it only says "YOU" after winning. I think you forgot the "Win" ;)
Good job! That's a really great mechanic! Becomes quite hard with all the dead zombies blocking very quickly
@barelyevengames, @neonjeff, @forevertrash I really finished coding the logic up until the last minute. Most of the values I set for money gain & upgrade costs were pretty much placeholders I came up with on the spot without having time to test it. Sorry for that ;-)
@swen Nice, that's further than I ever made it without cheating :D That's a nice idea for the radar. I thought about adding the ability to disable the radar for certain types of fish/trash, but marking "special" items would also be interesting.
I've already spent some time fixing the upgrade costs and adding some other ideas I didn't have time for. I'll post a link in the coming days / weeks.
And thanks for playing everybody!
This felt amazingly polished. Great Job! You should consider extending it with more content :-)
This felt quite polished for a jam game. Like others have pointed out it's a bit too much trial and error. Maybe you could improve that by showing more of the trail before launching, so that you can already see how the trail is affected while placing repulsors.
@adan1032 Hey, I mixed up the "HTML5(web)" and "Source Code" Links. It should be fixed now. You can play the game on the github.io domain. You could also play it with the source-files, but you'll have to serve the files over a local webserver.
@qthree Here you go, I made a version where the planets attract each other:
https://bewelge.github.io/Ldjam49---with-planet-gravity/
Let me know if you manage to get past level 2 :D
@qthree Nice one! I couldn't even get past level 2 in that version. I guess creating a game in no way guarantess that you will be any good at it ;-)
@binroot @lcstark @smilewood @refrax295 @joao-ribeiro @slimmerburger Thank you for playing and thank you for the kind words! :-)
This is a really great concept. Could definitely see a full game built around it!
Clever concept and great implementation of it! :-)
This was quite fun. The art style and visuals are simple but quite pleasing. Well done!
Cool concept and the art looks really consistent. Very nice work for 48 hours!
Fun game :) But my green blob kept going turquoise and subsequently rejecting me :-/
Thanks everyone for playing, rating and leaving feedback!
@rob6566 Was trying to implement enemies in the last 15 minutes but couldn't finish it in time. I think some kind of enemies or obstacles that appear over time and create some pressure to actually finish a maze quickly.
@paroxysmal In hindsight I agree, that 25 is too much. Was planning on adding some enemies in the later levels :)
@googlypoo Haha yea I started doing that too. Didn't have time to rethink the game-mechanics though :P
@wavertron @vimmagic @mdotedot Haha yea, the game definitely could use some form of upgrade system for the player speed / light range and some other things. Maybe if I'll add those things in a post-comp version :)
@matt-green Thanks! You didn't miss anything, the mazes just get bigger and require more keys to open the exit :)
@fifut Haha thanks, I wasted way too much time on that and got into quite a bit of time pressure implementing the menu in the end ;)
Haha this was hilarious. Great job!
Great idea and execution overall!
Very nice work! Didn't quite get what to do until a couple of tries, but then it has a nice incremental feel with constant pressure to it!
No idea what I was doing but I got to the end, so good job on game design! Also love the art style, audio and atmosphere. Feels very polished!
Really innovative idea and lovely execution! Well done!
Only thing I think could be improved is speeding up the scrolling up and down or maybe zooming out instead when there are floors added, since it becomes difficult to keep track which floors are full.
@ben-albert Thank you! I noticed that about the audio, but I was pretty annoyed by that particular sound, so I chose to de-prioritize fixing that :D
@meepster Thanks! I agree on the complexity. Just had to keep it simple in the short time frame. I do wish I'd had time to implement some power-ups though :)
@impalpable @dzejpi Thank you! Really happy you liked the sounds and atmosphere. I'm not good at picking sounds so that aspect is always a bit lucky for me
@owtuvammo @sstyles93 Thank you!! :)
@denvil Oh right, I believe Firefox gets really slow when you mix WebGL and 2d-Canvas. Happy that you got it working fine in Chrome though!
@xeltide The minions sometimes bug out and will insta-kill / insta-die when they hit an enemy. The best strategy I found while testing was making the enemies follow you with your minions behind the enemies and then quickly circle back behind your minions. The enemies have a tighter turning radius so they will then collide into your minions.
Very cute entry! Well done! Won by spamming only void mages :D
Very nice concept and the drawing part was more elaborate than I was expecting. Well done!
But I'm not sure whether it's unbalanced or I'm really bad, but after 5 tries I haven't managed to kill a single orc :D
Really innovative idea! Mana felt a bit too slow, making it a little random who scores but with a little more balancing this could be really fun!
For a game jam this is awesome though, well done!
This is a great entry! I love the controls - really innovative!
Wow you invented a really cool new mechanic for idle games! Love this!
Very clean and polished entry, well done! Also got the naughty Santa :)
Wow really great concept and execution, given the time frame! Well done!
Think puzzle games are notoriously hard to get right but you actually had me thinking before I could solve it :)
Wow that actually kept me busy for quite a while! Great entry!
Brilliant. :)
Very interesting concept. Got a highscore of 14 :)
