I don't usually like these type of games and wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise I really enjoyed playing it. The controls are a bit weird to get used to but overall good job.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → FloBar

Quite a cute litte game. I like the graphics and game play.
I like how each level builds on and teaches you skills you need for the next level. Really good level design.
The game looks really good and really like the transition when you scroll with your mouse wheel, but I wasn't really sure what to do. Also I didn't really realize when I died because I was still busy clicking and it took me to the title screen and back to the game. Maybe deactivate the click for a couple of milliseconds when someone dies. Otherwise it looks really good.
I liked the colors and physics. I need to play this more often. I have no patience. Cool concept by the way.
Fun little game, but I don't like that it slows down when you run out of power. It becomes soo slow like it's crawling. Also if you fly forward you can fly out of the screen and get hit by enemies that haven't appeared on screen yet. Otherwise nice effects and sounds. Well done.
Nice looking game but shouldn't the distance be measured in meters instead of kilometers?
I wasn't really sure what to do. I planted the cheapest seeds. Dragged the robots to the grid and then they got attack and it was game over. Would be awesome if you had a bit more of a description about the game and how to play it on this page. Otherwise the music works really well and the concept is weird but charming in a way.
That was cute. But can the police ever catch you while you're running?. Good job anyways.
Love the artwork and title. Fun little game. Well done.
I really laughed at this one. In a good way. Well done.
Nice memory game. Really liked the sound effects. I think that guy needs a hearing aid lol. Well done.
Pretty good game. I dig the colors. I can't believe you made this in 48hrs.
Fun little game but I didn't really know what to do besides shooting at the enemy. Music fits well.
I clicked play on the gamejolt html link and it says I need to pay at least $1 to play?
I liked the look of it from the screenshots but when I played it, it was just lagging like crazy. I like the music and entering the door fart sound effect lol.
I really enjoyed this game. Music and sound effects are good. Would be cool if it was fullscreen when you start the game. Very promising.
Really cool concept. Would've been even more awesome if you could abseil down to another platform. Well done.
I like the pase of the game and the visual effects. But I'm not sure what's going on lol. Well done anyway.
The visuals remind of something Butterscotch Shenanigans would have made. Game was enjoyable. Well done.
I was looking forward to play this game. Awesome color palette, awesome atmospheric music, awesome chord physics, the only thing I didn't like was that buzzing sound that would appear. Otherwise awesome game.
Very original. The old man's walker sounds like it says "Winky, winky". I really enjoyed this one.
That's the funniest thing I've seen so far. I love the music, the art, and how the night's armor upgrades. Only thing I didn't really like was that he was too close to the left side of the screen. I think he could've been position a little back from the center. Also the game play was a bit easy. Would've been cool if the jump button had a sensitivity level that made him jump accordingly. Currently he jumps way too high. Also it would've been a nice touch if he walk to the princess at the end. Otherwise really fun little game.
Haha I like the voice sound effect. Very nice little game.
Really like the art style and game play. Impressive. I like.
The sounds and visuals are amazing. Well done.
Really liked the colors and game play. Goes well with the theme. Has a lot of potential though.
I think it would have made a huge difference if you animated the characters running towards you. It would have felt like more of an attack. The visuals and music are pretty good though. Well done.
I really like the concept of having a cube that controls the game you play. And you needing to play with the levers and switches to get it back up and running again. The sound effects where spot on as well. It's a pity there was no background music. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that every time you fall off a platform, back to the bottom of the level, you have to charge up again which become tedious and frustrating. Maybe I just don't have the patience for it. But I really liked the concept. Well done.
Really cool idea. I wish there was audio though. Would have been awesome hearing the lazer guns. Looks promising though.
It was okay. The controls felt a bit stiff but the music was kinda cool. Good job.
That's pretty damn good. Love the atmosphere you've created with the grey scale and colored lighting. Gives me ideas for my game. Well done.
Cool concept and artwork. The game was lagging quite a lot for me in the chrome browser. I think it would've been nice to see a zombie gut bar in the HUD to see how much you've already collected. Also I felt like the shooting could have been snappier. Maybe because of the lag but the bullet was really slow. Otherwise nice concept about using zombie gut as power. Well done.
Wow I had an awesome, calming experience playing your game. The music ties in so well. Great atmosphere.
I remember seeing your progress in the feed a day ago I think. Was really exited to give it a play. Really dig the visuals and shaders. Good job man.
I really like the artwork. Nicely done. I do agree that the game becomes a bit repetitive but it looks promising. Well done.
Nice idea. Really tough little game. Well done. For a while now I've been wanting to make a game similar to that. Please check out my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/torch-boy
This game looked promising from the first screengrab I saw. I love the 80 style and synthwave music. I can imagine a need for speed in this style, I'd flippin love it.
At first I thought it was taking the theme a bit to literal, but when I saw the logo transition into the game I was sold on it. I really dig the colors, it reminds me bit of mirrors edge. I do feel like the game could have become progressively more difficult as you run a long. I also saw that you added some areas that appear to be dead ends but didn't really work well because the angle of the camera gave it away instantly. But otherwise really cool game you have here.
Awwww I was looking forward to this game. Only an insane person can come up with this. I love it man. Awesome music as well.
That was beautiful man. Such an awesome atmospheric game with a story to tell. I do feel like there could have been more of a challenge though. The game was pretty easy, I guess making some tough decisions where the challenges. Well done.
I was looking forward to playing this game but I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Greate art style and sound effects.
Beautiful artwork and music but I didn't know exactly what to do. It also has some bugs, like you can jump though a wall and land on a block. Also when you die it's like the instance of the character gets duplicated:

I think you should have focused more on getting the core game play done instead of focusing on the polish. Good job on the visuals though.
Edit: also when you fall out of the room you never stop falling. I figured out you need to press R to restart but not everyone knows that.
Really like the art style and sound effects. When he jumps it sounds like a fart with that smoke particle effect appearing below him. Got stuck after the letter T section and didn't know what to do. Good game though.
This made me laugh. In a good way. Kind of reminds me of Octodad where normal activities are just difficult to do. Well done. I also dig the art work.
I keep on getting stuck on the edges of the screen. I shouldn't enjoy killing fluffy bunnies but I did. The music and sounds are really good.
Nice little simple game and the controls are easy to master.
Love the music and the mood created by the lighting. Had a had time trying to figure out the controls though.
I was really creeped out by this one. In a good way. The torch light adds a nice effect. Good game.
Neat little game. The visuals could be better though.
That's actually really good for your first game jam. This looks like it has some potential to be something more. Well done. Dig the music as well, really adds to the mood.
I really liked the concept and characters but it takes a while to figure out what to do or who to bribe or not to bribe. The voices really cracked me up though.
Not a bad idea but there was no audio and I got stuck between 3 of those yellow flying things. Also when you run out of power it would be cool to see some sort of transition back to your previous checkpoint and not just instantly appear there. But otherwise not bad.
It was a bit confusing but I like the concept. Good job.
Great game. I really enjoyed the mechanic and pixel art.
Just a tip: export your game to be playable in the browser, you'll get more reviews. I added my HTML5 version and I got way more plays. Most people skip the games if they have to be installed.
You're game looks beautiful. Has a nice shiny plastic feel to it. And the music works really well with it. I feel so calm when I'm playing it. You have to add a thumbnail so people can see what it looks like. You're doing yourself a disservice by not doing it. Do it :).
I really liked the zooming in effect and the way the characters moved to the beat of the music. Fun little game.
It's a pity there's no sound and music in this game. It would have really juiced things up for sure. I like the idea. Took some time to get used to the controls, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty fun. Good job for your first game jam.
I think you'd like my game, I had a similar idea: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/torch-boy
I tried to play it but my avast acted up and then my computer crashed for some reason. The art and color choice is amazing. Gives me ideas for my game post LD. Great work.
I think this game has a lot of potential but the execution just wasn't that great. I feel like the attacks would have been way better if you added more effects and screen shakes to emphasize it. I think work on it and polish it. This could be an awesome couch co-op game if you improve it. Otherwise really cool concept.
Edit: also the controls where a bit weird and unresponsive.
I think this game would benefit with a title screen with the instructions. Not a nice experience if you're busy reading and then you die right afterwards. Also I think you could have used a more zoomed out approach. It looks a bit too cramped on the screen. Otherwise nice little game. Well done.
I like the fat pixel style but I wasn't sure what I needed to do.
You had me at that title. That was really good story telling. It was a pity the game play was a bit repetitive. The ending was a bit meh. I felt like there could have been a twist in the story. I'm really impressed though.
The controls are a bit weird and think it needs more sound effects and maybe some music but the concept is there it looks pretty promising.
Ahh yes I watched this on the stream last night. I was a bit confused with the choice of texture for the floor but fun little game anyway.
I enjoyed playing it. The resolution makes it a appear a bit blurry and it hurts my eyes but I see what your going for. I'm not sure if it was my mouse's sensitivity but the looking is way too fast. Otherwise really cool experience. Well done.
Interesting art style. Really dig the colors you used. Keep it up.
I like it. It reminds me a bit of super meat boy. I agree with the indicator on how much power you have before you let go of the mouse button. Otherwise it's a fun game.
Awesome little game. Really like the simplicity and color choices.
Haha such a fun little game. Really reminded me of the old GTA. Well done. The only thing that bugged me was seeing the default mouse cursor. Would be cool to see a cross air.
The jokes in this game are so lame but funny. The game was pretty fun as well. Good job.
Can't wait for 'Quick, Run To The Next Battery Pack Before Your Torch Runs Out And You Are Left In Darkness! 2' lol. Awesome art work. Kinda reminds me of Spelunky.
The colors are amazing and really add to the game. Looks really smooth. Well done.
@zelos thanks so much for putting in the time and giving me such good feedback. When I first started out I wanted to make it a 'how long can you last' type of game with a timer, but then I decided to change direction and give it more of a purpose. Retrieve the key and escape the room. I did run out of time because of play testing and wasn't able to expand on it. But I do feel like this is a promising start to something bigger.
@nuebomundo wow thanks so much for your constructive feedback. I know I focused too much on the charge and shooting mechanic and too little on the level design. I wasn't happy with the level but I ran out of time. But I'll definitely take your feedback in consideration when I continue with this game. Thanks a lot!
That was pretty damn fun. Really cute visuals, and the blue colors really add to the mood and the idea of being cold. Great job on this.
Haha yeah you need a lot of energy to go shopping with your girlfriend. Really cool concept I can relate to. Would have been cool with audio though and mall music. Good game none the less.
It looks like it could have some potential but I just wasn't sure what to do. Find a way out of the room?
Really cool concept. I also like the artwork. The controls took a bit to get used to. Good game though.
I like the concept a lot and also the sound effects with the voices. One thing that I didn't really understand was that the line that predicted the ball's path was sometimes pointing right at the flag and it just flew straight through it. But otherwise really cool idea. Well done.
I like the idea that you have to manage your power consumption and only use what you need at that moment in time. I think a tutorial would be nice though. Took me while to realize that I needed to click on the items on the left. Otherwise good concept.
Looks silly but I like it. Also the totem idea is pretty neat.
Wow awesome art work man. Really well done for a runner.
This is such an awesome concept. Really creepy as well. Reminds me of terminator a bit. Well done man.
Just wow. I really like the atmosphere you created. Everything from the trees moving and leaves falling. Beautiful. I'm getting a "Life is Strange" vibe here. Awesome game.
