Nice game, graphics and animations looks awesome. It is hard to play, but surprisingly fun, mechanics reminds me Super Meat Boy. I think that only thing, that could be upgraded is the speed of player, while he is sliding down at the wall on his sword, I think it takes to much time. If it would be faster it would be trickier to perform some stunts and eventually made the game more fun. To sum up with nice game, but gets repetitive very fast(some pickups or enemies would definitelly make it more interesting).

Love the semi-randomly generated maps, you can see different parts repeating but in different places. But it works really well. One thing that's kind of annoying is that you can fall off the bottom of the map, and its not obvious when you will. Also it would be nice if there was a way to speed up sliding down the side of a bit of terrain, maybe if you press down when doing it.

Lovely graphics and nice atmosphere. Procedural games are quite rare at LD. I enjoyed the movement, it was fluid and precise enough to perform all the stunts. The speed at which you slide down walls could be increased. I wish that the fact that you can only stick to grass less walls was pointed out at the beginning. The game suffers a bit from repetition, I learned all possible "rooms"in 2 minutes and there was nothing that would surprise me anymore. Is there anything that makes the game harder with time?

Very nice graphics, movments feels good, but gets boring afer few minutes. Very solid LD entry

Nice looking game but shouldn't the distance be measured in meters instead of kilometers?

Nice little game! Good job, the controls feel thight and that's vital for a platformer. It's fun!

However, I have one small bone to pick with the leven generation. I guess you are using something similar to Spelunky's predesigned-but-randomly-arranged rooms system, and this played bad with me when I didn't know it was procedurally generated, and I found myself in the same beginning two times in a row. I guessed it was the same level, and proceded to fall to a bottomless pit that in the previous level had a solid ground and a glass of water in it xD. It was funny.

Nice look. The level generation ist a little bit awkward but kind of ok. I do love the platformer controller mechanics. Love they style all in all.

Please play, rate and comment our game aswell: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/disaster-on-nebula-one

Ha, another platformer and Lua fan, neat. I like your how your game feels, and while it lacks variety with the mechanics, I guess that could be said about most games done in just 48/72 hours. The graphics are actually quite good for a jam as well, and the sounds fit in nicely. Good job!

Hey everyone, thanks for your feedback, I have started working on a post-jam build to fix some of these issues. That is available on the itch.Io for those interested. :v:

Looks good, controls well, just wish there was some kind of background music and fewer blind jumps right into instant death.

maesen 2017-08-05 06:43

(Playing the original L39 version)

The graphics are really nice and the sound effects are clear and get the point across well, though the way the game handled death was weird. When I died, I didn't really know where I began from at all, and maybe I'm just missing the point with that remark. However, the game itself had a lot of blind deaths, either from impossible to see spikes or an invisible death plane, and I'm sure you might have gotten rid of them. Aside from those gripes, the level design seemed to work nicely, though a slightly faster slide on the wall would be appreciated.

nice graphics, nice sound effects, but no music :( and i dont get the idea of running? to where? for what? what the water cups i get, if my water level dont go down.

P.S. i found some bugs, when i first start game i was falling down and down with no end. and i can run into wall after jump and dont go down too. (i played latest version) but still this game is very good, just need polish it more, i think.
