@LittleLegend Thank you ! This is a known bug we are working on. Try pressing every directionnal button once, and you should be able to move normaly.

Loved the combat, art style and voicework! Would have been a five star rating but I found that sometimes my Viking guy would swing the wrong way and it got very annoying. Apart from that, great job

All those poor bunnies! I loved your game but I was expecting a monty pyton holy grail reference but could not find one its disappointing a bit!

Amazing art style. The blood seemed a little off, but overall, the animation and drawing fits very well together. The different attacks serve to mix things up a little. I enjoyed this submission, it really feels complete. Congratulations!
Really liked the art style :D Combos felt very good so maybe add more enemies because slashing them was the most fun :) The unlockable skills where all different had cool mechanics. Overall a good entry :)

Hey, good game. It is fun, i like it. Visuals are great. Good job.
My suggestion is to make a mouse pointer more visible, the system mouse pointer is hard to see when there is big action on the screen. And after some time of play it seemed the movement keys stop working, I could move only in some way (e.g. up, down), but maybe it was just before the fury ran out.

Nice game, the ending animation is really great! The progression feels good and the concept is clear. I like how finished it is, having a instructions screen and a proper menu and teaser. I had trouble controling the dude because it was hard to spot the mouse arrow. I'm not sure if it is intended that he follows the mouse with his dash and throw - it seemed he chooses the direction himself. I also saw the movement bug some other guys mentioned - he started going upwards only, like if a key was locked. Typing the up key again solved it though.
So overall, a really good entry, congrats!

Loved the game, and loved the Nordic theme (as a Scandinavian i am slightly biased tho :P) The control's felt slightly stiff at times but that might be because of the cursor bug where i moved the mouse of the screen. the graphics were dope, music and sound effects were really cool and fitting to the theme. I also liked the progression of skills, made the game feel really polished! overall a Great game that i enjoyed very much! :D

Ho-ly-cow. I'll start from bad things, to overwhelm you with praises spam later :D Mouse is invisible in the white background, it hurts, as aiming is important. The 'back to menu button' - I was searching for it for good minute. And sometimes I got stuck in the right side, as my character was constantly moving there.
But other than that... Game is absolutely fantastic. Everything fits together perfectly. Graphics and animations are awesome, especially death. Game is well-balanced, spawn ratio is good. When I use skill, I feel I'm using mighty viking's strength. Dash, throw, growl - everything is great. Gameplay on itself is awesome. Transition from losing power to rage-fury-hunger thing is great. For me personally best entry so far, I really derived pleasure from playing your game :D
It's a pretty neat game, using the rage mechanic as the stand in for the energy theme was pretty clever. The game was simple enough to get a hang of but got progressively harder. I loved how the foxes seemed to have very derpy eyes as a comedic effect. The only downside I found was that the game becomes a little repetitive after a while but I guess that is to be expected considering the time constraints we all work under :)

This is great. Awesome work for 72 hours! I really like the graphics and the overall vibe. I kind of feel like it might have been better with keyboard-only controls (i.e. no mouse), but that's a small nitpick. Nice work!

A really good first attempt at a game jam! The graphics are really really nice, and I appreciate how many different animations you added to the main character. The controls were a bit of an issue though. It'd frequently lock up into a certain direction, or just not read any input. An indicator of where the viking is going to slash based on your mouse position would also be appreciated. With that being said, it's a really wonderful take on the theme, and a fantastic start to game jams.
Game is nice. Simple idea, but in funny convention. It would be better if this game would have a little bit of story - they go for dinner or something. Because PETA is going exactly for YOU !!!! XD
As has been said, the graphics, animation and audio are all superb and for a first time group this is incredible. My only real critique is that the game-play is very linear in intensity. A feature that I think would could have broken up the game-play in a fun and immersive way is if you can complete tasks to please Ull. Tasks such as kill 10 rabbits in 8 seconds. or kill a rabbit then a fox then a rabbit. I think something like this could move the focus of the game around and make a better rising and falling action in the intensity of the game.
A brilliant game that is fun to play and beautiful to look at. My only advice would be to add some sort of indicator as to where the viking is going to attack, e.g. where the mouse is.
The pixel art is great, and the animations/sounds complement the game well. The food chain element adds a nice bit of urgency to the game, however, it does take a little while for the things to get hectic. I could be dumb, but I couldn't find a way to get back to the main menu after reading the instructions. I also got stuck while being at the top or the bottom of the map sometimes. Overall the game is professional looking and feels completely finished. Fantastic job guys!
I see it's back up, so I got a chance to play it. I like it, the graphics are cool (love the derpy-looking foxes). Very funny.

This one is super fun! I like the challenge and love the animations, they are hilarious. Congrats! By the way, I that a back button on the credits and instructions menus will be helpful. Maybe is because I tried the browser version but I had no way to go back from those menus.

There is indeed a way to come back to the menu from the Instructions and the Credits, altough not very easy to see : "Back to menu" under each of the pages' main title. It's in red.
I got 423, don't know if that qualifies as good or bad... Having a highscore on the game would be an obvious suggestion. The game ran smoothly and was quite fun. The graphics was nice and in general a really well made game. The music could perhaps been more reflective of the rage or even better of the rage level of the character. That the higher tiers of attacks were on keyboard was a bit annoying, but OK. It would have been nice to keep it consistent in that way (perhaps easier if all attacks were the 1-4 numbers). I would also have had a more visible notification when any of the 2-4 attacks were ready. It was easy to miss. The second attack, I wasn't either fully sure what determined where I went. Which is maybe OK in the sense that it was just a blur rage, but it would have been nice if it were usable as a dash. All those things aside, it was a really fun game to play. Well done!
I am a huge fan of your art. The gameplay is also very simple yet extremely satisfying. I enjoyed playing this game and it worked very well, great job! But I will agree with some of the other comments in that the controls were a little odd but I didn't have too many problems with it and actually got used to it quite quickly.
The dash, the attack and the projectile are all directed towards the mouse cursor. I realise it might not be easy to spot on the web version, but you can download the .exe which contains a custom cursor that is much easier to spot.
Very well presented. Slightly confusing controls. My 13 year old self would of loved all the senseless violence. 37 year old me is slightly bored, but still my favourite game about killing cute fluffy animals this Jam so far. Very nice graphics and extremely polished entry. Great work!
This has a good feeling to it! The impact/violence is rewarding. The repetition gets dull rather quickly, but I dig the general gist of it.
I keep on getting stuck on the edges of the screen. I shouldn't enjoy killing fluffy bunnies but I did. The music and sounds are really good.

OMG! The pixel art is fantastic and everything is done (graphics, music, sfx, menu, playability) at a level near from the pro one. Nothing more to say. It is near perfection like this.
Fantastic looking game. The controls were a bit laggy. sometimes got me stuck in corners and sides of the window. I think for a browser game, you should remove the mouse control. the player may click outside of the game window and lose control. Regardless of that, everything was fine. keep making it better.

One or two additionnal kind of creatures (maybe with patterns?) would be great, even if the bear stamina is of course already challenging.

Butchering little bunnies always feels right :D The game concept was nice and the mechanics was nice however I found it a bit too easy. I would have liked it to be more difficult in the start and then ramp it up from there. Great game!
Final score was 355. Once I got the hang of it I found this exceptionally fun! The animations are great (especially game over). The mechanics are solid. Might be my favorite this LD!

This is a really good game, interesting take on the theme too! I had so much fun playing this, the only thing I wasn't sure on was the aiming/targeting of the throw ability? Couldn't quite figure that out. But superb job on a really good game!

Oh, I love the gore! This is a viking warrior, right? I love the viking character and the bears. :) It fits very well together: the sounds, the graphics, the music, the effects. One thing did not really work well for me is the controls. Sometimes they just stuck. Overall, very fun game! Congratulations :)

Original way to fit the theme into a mindlessly violent and fun game :) the level of detail you put into the game is quite good! music doesn't seem to fit the mood a lot, but it's good. Overall very playable and polished, but I can't stop thinking a true viking would slaughter hordes of enemies rather than innocent bunnies! :D
Very good classic game! The graphics are excellent, mechanics function smoothly and from the point of view of compo-jam style seems to be a huge amount of work. Music could have given more feeling of action.
This is quite a lark, and very fun! Love the music, feel, and mechanics.
Whenever you get near the edge, you seem to get 'trapped' on the border and you have to actually move up into it (away from the area) to 'free' yourself.
Interesting entry, for the other players, be sure to make it fullscreen or you might accidentally click outside the screen area.
Awesome Pixel Art and solid game play. I would love to see the Nordic theme in the sound and music too. But overall great entry! A little scary how much fun it is to slaughter these innocent bunnies o.O
I like the special effects for attacks. Animations could be little more dynamic (for example main character could move his upper body more while working) but the pixel art looks really polished anyways.

Beautiful Gfx, loved it, it all fit in very well together. The only thing is that sometimes the keyboard seemed to be 'stuck' when you hold down a button too long.

Controls a little buggy, sometimes I will be stuck incapable of moving in one direction for a few seconds. The gameplay is pretty satisfying, and I really like the art.
That was a blast! I thought the "Ull is displeased" death scene was hilarious. Could have done with nicer sounds, but I'm not complaining - the game delivered what it promised.

Good gameplay, and funny story!
As others said I also found the bug of a control that remains stuck, but you just need to re-press that button and it works again. If it could be of any help when it happens there is a little lag, like it skipped the frame when it checks if the control is not pressed anymore.

Great game! Great art style, funny graphics and animations, tight controls, I dont have much to critisize
The UI covers on critters in the bottom, which is kind of annoying. And the sounds don't sound that great. The camera shake feels kind of laggy when you kill to many animals at once.
Apart from those small grievances, probably the best game I've played so far! Very well done!

J'ai vu que vous étiez français alors je fais mon commentaire en français : - Les contrôles sont parfois un peut buggé (Parfois les touches ne répondait pas ou s'inversait pour aucune raison apparente) - Les graphismes sont très sympa, avec des jolis effet de particules - Le loop de la musique est peut être un peut court, et avec des partie très distincte, donc on peut facilement entendre quand la musique commence a loop - Le gameplay était très interresant, le premier beat them up que je vois dans cette ludum - Très bonne façon de tourner le theme je trouve - Assez déffoulant dans l'ensemble

Sometimes the controls were buggy with the viking moving toward the screen border. Except that, everything was simple, fun and understandable. Oh, and eyes of the foxes made me giggle few times.
