Very nice and polished look. Great experience at all!

Some small points that could be improved in my opinion:

- the tutorial is nice and short but after replaying it for the 4th time a skip button would be nice - the possibility of moving created nodes around for an easier alignment later in the game - if you work in a "*" and a "/" note it could be also used for educational purpose as well as some more game play possibilities

FYI it wasn't possible to play the game in Firefox: "The browser could not allocate enough memory for the WebGL content. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating less memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings."

First of all a solid entry and nice horror experience :)

Pros: - Nice Atmosphere - good Sounds - nice lighting - big map - almost shit myself whenever I encounter one of the robots

Cons: - small recognition of the different rooms due to empty rooms - finding all container took a long time - no chance to flee from the robot

I would suggest having a smaller map with more assets in it otherwise it is hard to remember the different rooms. Some tilable textures would also improve the appearance of the rooms with small extra work. I found no possibility to get away from the robots if the see me I m dead. A function like sprinting or something like that would give the player a chance to flee and improve the play ability. Maybe give the robot a walking sound to have an idea where they are coming from.

Not sure if it was supposed to but the robot was attacking me although I was looking straight at the floor.

Overall good entry, keep it up!

Nice entry! Al lot of the points are already mentioned in the comments above. Additionally, it feels like moving diagonally is faster than right/left/top/bottom. It looks kind of strange that the light cycles are overlaying. Some sort of shader might work. Also, sound effects for transforming or flying would be great. But overall good job for a few days :)

It's a good start to work from. I really like the idea of handling the power for the turrets. But there are a lot of points needed to make it really playable.

I really like the music and the graphics for the different towers. I m wondering if there is a loosing condition.

The idea connecting the towers with the source is a nice idea but gets annoying after a while. Some staying connections would be great. For me it wasn't clear where my resources were. Therefore, it would be nice to have a more dominant UI than a small number on the rocket.

I would also prefer controlling the whole camera movement with the mouse rather than with wasd.

I found also a small bug: When you build a tower and the resources are stolen you can still set them

Overall nice game :)

I was not really impressed from the screenshots in the beginning, but the style works great with the overall game design. The shapes and colors of the enemies are distinguishable and helps to keep an overview later in the game. The controls are working ok, but the fact that the walls are killing you too were just frustrating. Maneuvering the character between the wall and an enemy and dying because the character moves 2 pixels too far to the wall was frustrating and killed the fun of the game for me. Dodging all the enemies and praying for an "kill all" was great and i spend more time, trying to beat my own high score (620) than i should have been. Over all great entry but i would think about letting the wall only being a collider than an additional insta death.

FYI: - Moving diagonal instead of up and down is faster. Intended? - having 2 enemies spawn at the same time let the audio sound bad

It seems like you worked with a modular graphics system. This can save you a lot of time but you need to make sure that every corner can be clipped on every wall. Make them tileable. There were a lot of graphical bugs like white sprites, walls overlapping your towers and building and your "How to play" Menu did not show up.

I had a lot of fun playing this one. Nicely done!

A few things which would have improved my gameplay experience:

- Closing the Voxel Editor with "I" was not intuitive. I would change the button to "Esc" or "Q" so the player does not need to move their hand on the keyboard.

- Working with a lot of Voxel in the editor was hard to distinguish where one block started and the other ended. A small line around each block could improve that.

- The respawn point on lvl 2 was very frustrating. Having to collect every block over and over again after failing the jump over the water was a bit annoying. Having a save point after collecting the yellow block or keeping the collected blocks after dying would have been nice.

Overall great game with quite some potential for further development in my opinion :)

The hit detection of the enemies felt off. I could never be sure if I would receive or deal damage, which made the game harder than needed. A different color for the area where I receive damage would be helpfull.

After the purple boss appeared the game crashed because some debug message could not be deployed.

Awesome entry! I had a lot of fun puzzling about the controls. The collider around the toaster were a bit frustrating. A simple but fun game. Having different difficulties is great and the overall controls felt good. I personally would use another color than red. The main menu "jumped" towards me when i first opened the game and was a big strain for the eyes. Inside the game the effect was not that prominent but the red boxed were still pretty bright. But overall nice entry :)

@keybol I agree, that a full fletched tutorial would be beneficial for the game. Introducing mechanic by mechanic, creating special challenges to solve, start with one sailor... Sadly production time was tight and using a "slideshow" was the only possible solution to create some sort of tutorial. @fredfilo The ship has two areas were multiple sailors can work in. The sails have 3 and the cabin 2 slots (pirates which high charisma influences other pirates in the same area).

At the moment these areas are filled up by order. If you try to move the only a sailor from sail (1/3) to sail (2/3) he will jump back to sail (1/3) which needs to be filled first.

This is not that intuitive so it will probably be fixed in future versions. Thank you for letting us know :)

The overall player feedback including sound sadly needed to be left behind due to production issues. Improving this would be prioritized in future versions.

As mentioned to @fredfilo the placement issue comes from the ordered placement of sailors on combined areas like sail, crows nest and cabin and should be improved as well.

Balancing games is always pretty challenging and even more during a game jam. Some players were struggling hard with the chosen difficulty and some had similar experiences as you did. How did you like the difficulty of unfair mode?

Switching pirates would be a good UX improvement, we'll take a look into that.

I spend way to much fun on this game ^^ Its an interesting design and the balancing of watching the street and juggling several health bars was great. The only issue I had were the already mentioned hitboxes of the several parts resulting in throwing away needed Ice Cream cones. I also liked the added non usable items like the helmet.

Not sure why by I had some performance issues when hitting a car. The number of spawned particles could be the issue. But overal great entry and beautiful not grey thumbnail :wink:

The idea of using the ball of wool to push buttons could be interesting. At the moment its not really fun to interact with them. They are very slow to speed up 4 punches or so until they reach their peak but if you miss one hit they almost stop immediately. Knowing how to solve the puzzle but not being able to do so is a bit frustrating.

Other than that the expression of the cat is nice and its playable in the browser. Keep it up :)

Nice game, hard to play on small monitors but works well on full screen. - Did you think about using middle mouse click to pan around the camera? Sometimes it is hard to follow the aliens when you need to move the mouse to the side of the monitor and back. Clicking middle mouse and "draging" the image below could make it easier to navigate - Constraining Quarantine space on the planed could be an interesting addition to the game and would need to think about constraining traveling more

I think the game could profit from some player feedback and consequences on actions. At the moment I think there is no difference if I interact with the plan or not. One general tip for future jams: Try to include a HTML5 version of your game. A lot of players including me does not like to download games. Having a WebGL Build makes it possible to play the game in your browser. With unity it is relative easy to do so.

Its always exciting to see new developers, keep it up :)

Multitasking at its best. It was great fun and stressful playing that game. The harp seemed to break too much though. Having to repair the it after one click for a long period of time was quite annoying. In addition a sound would be nice if your try to play the harp when it is broken or throw diapers when the trash is full. I often thought the game was not reacting spamming 3 to play the harp until i repaired it. Nevertheless great entry! I needed three attempts to beat it which is a good amount :grin:

@kayacarlton Showing a single image was not that rewarding.

Maybe a small animation letting all babies start to rotate around the vicious circle going faster and faster. A bit of screen shake and smoke filling the visible area. Everything fades into black except the glowing vicious circle which merges into the forehead of Baphomet, combined with evil laughter and a quick cut into black.

Something like that could be more interesting but takes time which is short during a game jam :) Sadly wo also have a single image at the end of our game ^^

The walk cycle of the horse was pretty good. Some aspects which could improve it even more would be some overlapping animation by offsetting some parts of the tail and horse's mane by a few frames. removing the lowest bodies would be beneficial for further development to avoid frame drops and Z-Fighting of the sprites. In addition and as already mentioned the camera was really hard to control. You could try to parent the camera to the head of the woman an moved with her or use a bigger threshold. But you finished a game for LD that's great :)

The sound design was a bit aggressive in my opinion especially on the crumble parts where a rapid amount of sounds where triggered. But overall great entry + made a lot of fun playing it.

the game looks promising, but as others stated i didn't quite get what was happening. In my opinion an ingame tutorial of some kind introducing the different systems would be helpful as well as some visuell or sound feedback whenever I change a system. But overall i think there are a lot of systems and art in such a short amount of time. Keep it up :)

awesome entry quite a lot of mechanics and polish for such a short development time. I had quite fun playing the different levels and understood the new mechanics intuitivaly, therer fore great level design. sadly i feel at the end of the game through? the level into the black and nothing changes. Maybe I quit too fast or there was a bug. Overall great entry :)

nice entry, the game was responsive and had nice art. One thing i would think about is the damaging height of the player. It was quite frustrating getting damage when trying to jump on top of a plattform. In my opinion I should not get punished when simply jumping up and down. Thanks for sharing :)

Great Game! Feels like a nice mixture of scrabble, balatro and dave the diver. Balancing the search for more letters and thus points while having a time limit is fun. I like the interactive main menu which kind of works like a tutorial and the atmosphere of the game. One usability suggestion: When writing a word could you grey out the used letters and remove them only when submitting it? Having a word in mind and constantly reshuffling letters and searching for them while typing is a bit annoying. Overall great entry!

nice idea. I like the interaction of assigning workers so different mines and digging deeper to unlock new ones. The Window on itch is very tiny and cannot be resized which makes the game very hard to play with tiny pixel sprites. I played for two days, do I need to get the workers back up at the end of the day to continue? is seems like they can just continue for ever
