Don't worry about it too much. Not everything works out the first time, and there'll be many more jams to come!

You live and learn! The more jams you do, you find a nice workflow to it all, you figure out what order to do things in and you get a sense for what needs to be prioritised and how long things might take. Perhaps pair up for find a team for next jam as doing it alone can be tough, especially for someone new to jamming :)
Keep trying! I've joined LD about three-four times and only on this one I've been able to finish something
Hey, I don't want to rate the content since there isn't anything playable, however don't feel bad at all! One of the biggest and easiest traps to fall in is overextending the scope of your game and missing your targets. AAA studios fail on that every day, not to mention countless indie devs :) If it's your passion, keep trying, you got this next time!
Even if you only have a simple proto, you can put it on your hosting website and link us to it. But if you don't have a working prototype, screenshots are fine.
However, in both cases I'd recommend to select "Unfinished" instead of "Jam" when publishing the game, so people know what to expect. Actually, you can still edit your page and change the category at the moment.
Don't worry about missing the deadline. A jam is about learning and improving yourself!
It is hard to make an interesting and bugfree game in 72 Hours. Keep it simple, keep it short, don't merry your initial idea (if something doesn't work out throw it out).
Publish something that runs. (even when it dose so poorly) Don't strive for perfection or you'll end up like my bro, not participating at all.
What engine did you use? Can I have a look at your code?
Hey that's how this goes - jams aren't easy, it's a challenge to work all out for 2 days. I've attempted several before but just lost all motivation part way along and given up.
For next time I'd really recommend aiming for something very simple and derivative for your first submission, then add 'stretch goals' if you have time. It pays to plan well at the beginning, so you know what the minimum is you can do to have something to submit.
This was my first jam where I was able to submit anything, and it was horribly rushed and untested. But it feels so good to finally complete a jam and start getting feedback - so keep positive, and good luck to you next time!
P.S. was this your art? Or assets from elsewhere?
Don't worry, the first steps are always hard. But you did the first step others didn't even try. Thats awesome.
Quick tip: Add an thumbnail to your game in the publishing section otherwise your game will be shown as grey block. You can still add one yet :)
Keep it up, cheers!
Try not to stress too much, learning how to manage scope and expectations is probably the hardest part of game development, and is really something we never stop trying to figure out. Just entering the jam and giving it a shot is something you should be proud of! Very nicely done, and I hope we can more of your work in the next jam!:)
hi man, dont worry and keep trying. i joined LD 7.5 year ago and I completed game on first attempt ... but then all next LDs i couldnt complete any game to the level i was satisfied. i managed to do it this time though. i really like your art. actually i made platformer this year, your with your art my game would look so much better. which graphics tool have you used? cheers!
Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

Don't beat yourself up! Like everyone has said - you live and you learn. You're not the first to show up late to the race. As long as you're willing to run again, that's all that matters!
i liked it nice game i loved it
Don't be so hard on yourself, jamming is meant to be a learning process. There will be more opportunities to make it work. And if its your first jam, even more reason to be proud of what you've done.
Keep up the good work and next time it will go better!
good job
