Pretty fun! Especially when you hit the high speeds.
Only thing was it felt a little too easy, would have been fun if the enemies could ram you.

Really fun and engaging game! Loved the simple art style and mechanics that were easy to pick up on. I really like the spin on what would be like a classic platformer layout but mixed up with something like a board game!
Always love dark moody games :) loved the 2d art with the rain effect that was great

Liked the painting of blood with the hand, didn't really make sense what you'd choose to do in that minigame though
Really nice idea, could definitely see how this could go places if you started to introduce little mechanic variations!
Was pretty fun but a little let due to no sound or nice calming music as you're trying to navigate all the holes!

I didn't find any reason to not use the scythe attack, and it was a bit hard switching back and forth between the attacks with just Q and E.
@trevor-shoe cheers for checking it out! The fading circles will most likely be the special enemy that does an AoE attack on later levels!
Really cool idea, fits well with the theme and I could see this going places, the idea certainly has potential!

Love the art style! Like the slime grind, reminds me of a room in runescape of sorts.
Feel like the mood was missing with there not being any music though
++ Good concept focusing on a single mechanic. Art was bright and music fit well.
-- Would have been nice to have the camera move along with the ball, or be able to scroll the camera over to see the problem. Few bouncing bugs with the ball going into blocks
Cool concept and the music was nice but I found it extremely hard to control the rotation with clicking the buttons at the same time. Also game got stuck after dying the first time.
Love the art and the sounds! hit the arcady feeling on the head! Was very easy though, could move around spamming action key :)
++ Very nice! Fits the theme to a tee and the army hat on the pawn is just too cute. Loved the cutscenes and the premise of this is what the pawn sees in a regular game of chess.
-- I think the enemy spawn amounts were a bit too high, and could generally just rush to the enemy king rather than having to keep back and clear the waves. I do wish it had leaned more into the spooky theme with the music it had going.
++ Really like the theme here, and the visuals look really nice and minimal. Loved the cute little white blood cells (?) jumping about.
-- Game window was really small. Also seemed very hard as it took a long time to kill the red blood cells
+ Love the graphics and style
- No sound, would be nice if the enemy names were floating above the wells so you could target specific rivials
++ very fun and chaotic! Scored 1279, was rather difficult. Nice touch that you have to be near your sphere to charge your attacks. Great audio and loved how it ends up painting the environment!
-- Perhaps a little too difficult at times.
Fun little game here, really enjoyed the cute music!
++ Actually pretty fun. Those big eyes will give me nightmares. Could see how this could expand with block types and more enemies
-- Bit too easy, I think I could have gone on for a while. Either I think there should be more big eye spawns or the bullets should go a lot faster

Thanks @samboyer276 ! Yeah it could have definitely used with a bit more time to tune it all. We did manage to reduce change of direction abilities that pop up if you're on that side of the screen (i.e. if you're on the left, try to give the player more right abilities and less left) but we didn't think of tuning it for fuel that way :)
@jonathan-lorenz thanks for playing! Yeah if we'd had more time, I think we would have had the enemies show what ability they were going to use above their heads before using it. Turn based could also be an interesting idea, perhaps having it as a separate mode or a ability that makes it turn based for 1-2 abilitiy card uses!

- The damaging enemies was really buggy, after I died the first time, I couldn't jump on them, maybe only 1/10 it would kill them
++ Reminds me of the gauntlet game! Nice music and charming sprites.
-- Would have been nice to have the camera centered on the player and the snail following you. Was also very easy
You live and learn! The more jams you do, you find a nice workflow to it all, you figure out what order to do things in and you get a sense for what needs to be prioritised and how long things might take. Perhaps pair up for find a team for next jam as doing it alone can be tough, especially for someone new to jamming :)
++ Challenging! Did take me a little bit to figure out the tree was actually blocking bullets but that just adds another layer of gameplay there.
-- Ran out of ammo and there's want's much I could do about it. Felt like shoot should either have been on a button or the player looks at the mouse.
Is very satisfying to play this! Wish you could save out your tower though
The unstable theme was supposed to be the mechanic that dug out sections of the tunnel would collapse if you didn't pick up support beams and place them to support the unstable tunnel - unfortunately we were short on time to get that properly working, we're hoping to get that back in as a post jam update.
Loved the style and graphics but did find a little hard, perhaps should have had easier puzzles to let tha player get a bit more into it before going full on :)
