Wow, love the bright colors and vibe of the game! The parallax backgrounds give it a nice depth.

Wow, love the bright colors and vibe of the game! The parallax backgrounds give it a nice depth.
The art style is really cool, game feels fun to play. Nice work.
A decent little platformer with a whiff of Corona :) It lacks a bit of depth to be completely honest! Something persistent like a score would be a nice little addition so there is something to work towards :)
Really enjoyed playing this game. Awesome graphics!
First of all good job ! I think I go into a bug, After some death I can't kill enemy anymore or I miss something (I just jump on it).
It was fun at first, but I couldn't stomp on the viruses after a little while and my character just bounced around on top of them.
Great job !
Awesome graphic but jump mechanic is strange/buggy
+ Artwork is gorgeous! Liked the chill music and sfx.
- The damaging enemies was really buggy, after I died the first time, I couldn't jump on them, maybe only 1/10 it would kill them
Nice graphics and it was quite fun, great job!
Really love the art style, the whole package is simple and fun.
Nice game, a game can get a long way with good controls, which you have. I did stumble into a bug though, i don't know how it happened, but the player got stuck under the collider you walk on. so i kinda moved around under the viruses and couldn't do anything. Nice game though :-)
I really liked the sound you used for when enemies get stomped - It felt really satisfying! I did run into a strange issue where I would occasionally just bounce off of the virus rather than kill it though, which made it hard to get back to the hospital safely. I would think that I had more than enough time to make it back, but get stuck bouncing off of a virus.
The art is great, but the kickback when you get hit is a bit annoying. I was doing so well that there were -7 patients in the hospital.
@arktas hey thanks for playing and reporting bugs I will check it out
@picusbgames you are right needs more depth, I had more ideas but I spent more time for artwork than I anticipated and than during the last hours my brain started to melt and then this is it
@batswinger thanks for playing, I will check out the bug
@koolruz stomping viruses definitely needs more work
@finnthepirate , thanks for the follow up! And I know the feeling. This is the reality of very short time budgets! :) Just saw that you did this solo, great job man :)
One of the best games I played in ld46. great job
@ugurcan hey thank you for playing, I'm glad that you liked it
Really nice little platformer game ! I really liked your art style, it was quite beautiful to my eyes !
The gameplay felt responsive, except the jump, indeed, that there was a sort of latency between the moment I pressed jump and the jump to trigger in game. So it was a bit frustrating, because I got hit due to this behavior.
Moreover, the feedback sounds are cool, but it is too bad that there is no music background, it would add more spicy to your general ambiance.
Overall nice work !
@edalbung thanks for playing and thank you for your feedback, actually there is a music but the volume is low, I guess I should turn it up a little more
Awesome art and fun concept! :) I feel like the game is a bit too repetitive for the current duration of a whole play-through and it could use some combat polish (fine line between killing or being killed by viruses and viruses can spawn right on you) but good job for the game jam time and this could be really fun with some more polish!
The art was great, but the gameplay could have used some more work. Perhaps a variety of enemies or increasing wave difficulty. Losing lives to your population could use an indicator, like a sound effect. Overall good and enjoyable game! Great wok!
Really cool little platformer. I have to say I absolutely ADORED the environment, the small animations, the little characters... the light added a subtle but gorgeous touch and made the world a bit more alive. The mechanics felt fluid and they were fun. In regards to that I would maybe only mention that the pull back from getting hit felt a bit too much, which caused a little bit of disorientation.
I would also mention I was lacking a little bit of ramping/balancing difficulty, and having a bigger variety of enemies.
As I said though, I am aware those are usually hard to tackle during a jam, and this definitely has a very nice polish and playing it was a bliss nonetheless. Thanks for the entry and great work!
Nice looking game, worked fine too! I agree with the comments that the difficulty go up over time. Great Job
It's a really cool idea, I really appreciate that you did all of this yourself, the graphics especially is really good. The gameplay tho isn't really catchy. It needs more depth because. Also I've found a bug, if you go to the left world border then you can fall out of the map. Still, pretty neat idea
@nihushu damn I forgot to block the left border!!! it was on my mind during the jam but then I forgot until now thanks for playing and reporting the bug
@sndr @miggyg @fabian-g @reisn thanks for playing, you are right gameplay is repetitive, unfortunately with the help of bad planing I spent too much time for artwork, I didn't have much time left to diversify the gameplay elements
The artwork and animations are great! Also like the rather calm music and really satisfying sound effects. Being repeatedly thrown back by an enemy was a bit frustrating, I feel like having some kind of cooldown would help make it feel a bit more fair. Stomping multiple enemies in series felt really good, you could think about adding some combo bonus to that.
@uberardy thanks for playing, combo bonus is a good idea, will add in the next update
Solid aesthetics, animations and audio! Parallax effect makes it looks super nice and fluid, well done!
As others have stated, a bit easy, but other than that a solid platformer!
I thoroughly enjoyed this! A platformer is a difficult genre to tack this theme on to and I think you did well with it. Few quirks that I see other commenters pointed out already but aside from that I'd love to see this polished and hope that you continue to work on it post-jam!
Really liked the graphics. Not sure if this was intentional but at random intervals the player could jump really high into the air (I think it was sometimes after touching an enemy)
The graphics are good but the gameplay is too buggy and I can't play with my controller.
Oh boy how pretty the visual is! Looks super polished. Also love the retro vibe of best games on Nintendo from early days. Thanks for the game. Wish you the best of luck!
@megamasterx @marcusnystrand @nanolotl @gamescodedogs thank you guys for playing and I'm glad you liked it @juice-lizard I'm sorry for your trouble I should have mentioned it, I didnt't code for controller support and unity's default mapping always has bugs eventhough thank you for playing
Excellent visuals, I especially like the two layers of buildings and sun rays shining down. I felt bad every time someone in town died. Is there any way to win the game? I ended up with 0 patients, 32 population, and 46 deaths, not that great...
This game looks fantastic. The use of the pixel art is brilliant combined with the transparent lighting overlay. The game play was okay.
Awesome parallax! the traslucent layers gives a satisfying depth. Wasn't sure how much I was saving those people. Maybe a patient meter would help the player feel the pressure to hurry and save Juanita Juanitez. Great job!
Art and parallax are great. The controls feel quite clunky. I think more feedback in general on when you save somebody (similar to when somebody dies) could help. What's here feels quite visually polished though. Good work!
Congrats on your entry. Good game. I like the movement, but there's a weird feeling delay on the jumping.
Very good visuals, I really dig the run animation and BG artwork. Music gets a little repetitive, but at least it's not overwhelmingly loud or active.
I liked the touch of naming the dead and alerting the player, but I don't know if it did anything other than that. Maybe if there was some kind of connection between the player and these characters it could carry more weight.
Maybe I missed it, but I feel there wasn't much to do or accomplish beside stomp on the viruses and bring the serums back to the hospital, could use a little more depth. Maybe more variants of the virus, or some kind of power up, deploy-able turrets, airstrikes?
Cool game! I liked the graphics and the idea. The music and the sounds go well with the game. Displaying the names of the dead + the sound when this happened was really depressing and motivated me to try a bit harder.
The things that need more focus are the controls, collision detection and the "physics" in the game. I got really strange results when jumping close to the viruses - either they stopped my jump and pushed me back a bit, or they catapulted me really high into the air. Neither did seem like intentional effect, maybe some weird result of collision detection and the game physics? The other thing that seemed more like a bug than intention was that I almost always got infected from stomping on the viruses. It would be nice if one could avoid being infected with some skill.
