Nicely polished! Overall a great game!
Amazing game. Truly enjoyed it!
Nice idea and great art. Would be nice to see an indicator of how much of an area your card is affecting.
Thanks Garris!
A well polished game! Gameplay felt quite simple but solid. Love the art and music. Shame there aren't more levels
Fun game! I feel like there should be a default attack like q and e to hit left and right, its difficult to catch up when you are behind.
Great job though!
well polished game, nice art style and music. I had to play it alone but I bet its good fun with friends.
Fun little game, nice art style, and I love how the animals float to animal heaven when you kill them haha
interesting idea, I got completely lost though haha.
Interesting game, the mechanics work well. Very hard though, one of my blocks got stuck too.
Really cool game! love the sounds, really adds atmosphere to the level. Does the character auto runs sometimes? I wasn't pressing anything but I was moving.
Cool art but there wasn't much game play, really needs some instructions
Good, well polished game, with nice music. I like how there was a story and narration. Puzzles were fun too.
I think the e to hold objects should be toggle able instead as its difficult to hold e and move at the same time. good job though.
Solid game - well polished, fun mechanics. could use some more variation though, maybe pillars in the rooms and some powerups
Nice game, looks great too. Quite difficult but an interesting idea. Music is good.
Incredible art style, fun little game. I could see this being expanded on and being a really solid game
Cool game, love the music, very relaxing. I do agree with what others say though, and think you should lose thirst and hunger per action, to give more time to read text and stuff. Also It would be better if the inventory was a grid so you could access it easier.
Great job though!
Thanks for the feedback, the reason I made it so you drop the bag on damage was to prevent quickly running through all the traps, I can understand its pretty frustrating though.
*Spoiler
If you want to unlock the treasure hall the first key is bottom right, the second top left and the hall is bottom middle
Thanks again for all the feedback guys. I do agree with the camera, I tried to get it to smoothly follow the player but it messed up for some reason and I forgot to fix it before it was too late. I will note this for next time.
Cheers!
@Geckoo1337
Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure about the issue with the lighting on the web version, thought it might be because I didn't bake my lights.
I cant take credit for the music though, it was free off a website I linked in the description. I hope to learn some music software and make my own for the next jam though.
cool game, reminds me of dont starve, could use some more environment art as its a lot of flat grass. The animals could be closer too. This could be really fun if taken further
Awesome game! Great Idea and well polished. Love the visuals and puzzle elements.
Could see this being a create app game. Nice job!
Fun game! starts to get really interesting and difficult. Cool idea.
I think the countdown at the start could be lowered, would be nice to have some sound effects!
Great job!
Wow really cool game, looks great too. Did you use 3D scanning? the props look really good.
The story was getting interesting but seemed to end quite abruptly. Its interesting though, I enjoyed it.
Nice job!
Also "SHE LOOKS AROUND THE ROOM FOR MORE THINGS!" was great haha
Hey there, gave your game a play but was unable to complete it, struggling to open the safe with the various numbers found around the room (which I noticed were randomly generated, which was pretty cool).
Overall I think the game was a little too ambitious, even though there were some pretty cool things in there. I was impressed by the modelled/animated character, but I feel that for a first person game, there are much more important things to invest time into. I also noticed that the scale of the world was a bit large compared to the character.
Its a really cool concept and there were some neat ideas mixed in there, but I'd suggest for next time to focus on a simpler idea that you can thoroughly polish, with things like an in-game tutorial (something really simple, like a series of pictures), sound and focusing on the overall player experience.
(Side note: make sure next time to remove the starter content and all other assets in the project that you do not use, to make it easier for people to download)
Some issues with collisions, found myself trying to jump over certain objects for ages. Cool theme, really liked the mouse art. Lots of levels as well, which was pretty cool. Overall good job :)
Really liked the concept of this game. I wanted to try and get enough conveyors to get a direct line to the recycle chutes, but it would have taken a bit too long to grind that much.
The mechanics are solid, but placing boxes at the end of the belts and using the compacter gets a little finnicky. Overall its great game, I would have liked to experiment more with the features, but the slow progression prevented me from doing so.
Good work!
The sound definitely helps create a spooky atmosphere in this game. It was a little let down by the level design, as it was so large with many extremely long corridors. I would have preferred a smaller level with more corners and a fraction of the light sources.
I killed 5 monsters and found 5 chests, couldn't find the last chest or monster, but I ended up finding the door and trial/error-ing the last digit.
There were a few mesh issues like overlapping faces and gaps but overall it looked pretty good. Cool game! Good job
Nice idea, but its quite unclear about how the bombs work. is there a timer you can change?
Also can you reset the bombs?
Its a great idea, but needs some polish
Good job!
Enjoyed this game. Really liked both the art style and mechanics. I sat there staring blankly at the menu screen, I had no clue what I was looking at.. but I liked it. I did have a problem with my mouse continously being recentered when trying to purchase things from the PC, but that is more likely a problem on my end than the actual game itself. Really good job, well done :)
After painting 2 patches of the wall I found the beer. Proceeded to blockade the door with furniture and drink beer, having fun throwing the bottles around the room. The girlfriend still managed to find out I did no work. 10/10 would connect with my inner-slav again.
Simple idea and fun. I loved how well the game flowed, but at the last puzzle I hit a roadblock. After bout 10 minutes, I accidentally walked through the wall and the game completed :D Overall it was a lot of fun and the majority of it was well designed. Good job!
Simple game with a cool concept, I enjoyed playing it. Sometimes had difficulty with getting the room to the right place, but overall its a solid game! Well done.
The visuals and the audio are great and really help set the mood in this game. I wasn't sure what the keypad was for, but I managed to escape the room without interacting with it. Overall it has a high level of production with some nice looking art, well done!
Good game, I love being able to slay my enemies then drag their corpse around whilst riding a motorcycle.
nice job!
Cool Game, well polished. Couldn't figure out how to move my troops to different planets. Well done though!
Nice game - I love tycoon / management games and this could be good base for one.
It was well made altough I did find myself doing alot of waiting, needs some gameplay element whilst your doing nothing.
I think there is a bug when you buy a new floor, you dont lose 5000.
Music is catchy too, great job!
Wow, that was a nicely polished entry. Had a lot of fun with this, I even tried something like 9 or 10 times to finish the 3rd room. Simple mechanic that is done really well. The only thing I thought should change is the health of the enemy shooters, they felt a little bullet spongy on the last room trying to clear them all out. Apart from that it is visually and mechanically sound. Very well designed, great work guys.
Overall it was enjoyable, I liked the level design. There was an issue when jumping that would cause you to do a small jump when you land. Music got very annoying after a couple of minutes. But good overall! Nice work
@mrevilguy Thanks for playing - are you using firefox? for some reason the webplayer only works on that. As for the dying - you have to buy taxes and rent or you lose. No slackers here, they go to the gulag.
@nataha sorry about that, we've removed the web link until we can get a solution. Even when it was working it only seemed to work on Firefox (apparently Chrome has removed support for Unity Web Player). Hope you try out the Windows version and tell us what you think.
Thanks,
Choppz
@TheFlyingSatan Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for your feedback
@Ygogo Glad you enjoyed it Comrad! На здоровие!
@Dyn Thanks dude :)
@Marta Viader Great to hear that you enjoyed it! I'd love to see if anyone actually manages to win the lottery, the odds are pretty low.
@Drakekin Yeah I'd say that is the one major thing I think we missed out. Whether it be a money counter on the UI increasing or some sort of 'correct' or 'failure' sound cue playing. Thanks for your feedback and we're glad you had fun.
@ObsessiveNotion Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed the game :)
@Devastus Thanks! Yeah although technically there is no door to the office "section" :D
Me (Choppz) and Fidrik were discussing this during the weekend so we decided to keep the doorway open and declare that the office is a room within a room :P But yeah we are cheating a little bit! Thanks for the kind words:)
A little hard to control and the ball felt a little too floaty, but overall a cool concept. Nice work
Interesting game concept, I enjoyed it although I found myself actually just watching the movie clips because I've actually never seen these movies. The 'game over' ending was hilarious :) I would have liked to have a little more interaction or clues from around the room, but overall it was enjoyable. Good job :)
Hey there, just completed the game and had a lot of fun. I played with a mouse and keyboard but the movement and shooting felt very satisfying, and I was able to understand the mechanics/goal of the game very quickly.
Art style is simple but visually pleasing and I really enjoyed the spherical design of the level.
All around great game, good work!
Great game and so much for a jam, nice job. would be great to select both characters at once. the slow down time really helped to make decisions like throwing grenades.
I like the idea behind this, just felt like a lot of info was missing, like how much of each colour you had left, and things like the damage each turret does.
such a good game! very well polished art style too, really nice take on a defence style
easy to understand and play but I felt it could have had more content, maybe a selection of more upgrades. nice work though!
Fun game, liked the art. a piece of wood hit me and I fell through the map though xD
nice use of the theme, great job!
@volatile-dove yeah I wanted to get better sounds like a roaring engine and better soundtrack but ran out of time, thanks for playing my game!
@dvlv thanks for playing :)
@malarpuppet It does feel a bit slow to accelerate, can boost from a full stop to help you get some speed. Thanks for playing and for the feedback
@prodigalson Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated. I agree the driving could be better. I had never used a wheel collider before and when I first got the car driving it kept tipping over when I turned. I increased the mass loads and the acceleration a bit and it was much harder to flip over. I kept tweaking all the different values but I left it as it was to work on other things as I was spending too much time trying to get it perfect. But I should have had another go at tweaking at the end.
Thanks for playing though!
@justswn Yeah I made it alone :) thanks for playing, Yeah I think I should have changed the speed and acceleration of the car, would have felt more fluid.
@icxon wow cool a video :) thanks for playing im glad you enjoyed it. There is a lot of tweaking I could have done to balance things better but I like to leave the game as is when the deadline is over, always trying to do too much and dont have time for balance haha. Thanks for the feedback
Cool game, very long, a lot of content for a jam, Great job!
Great game and a cool idea. I felt like the icons could have shown what effect that had more. and been larger and clearer. Also sometimes I needed to heal but picked up the wrong thing by accident, is there a way to drop items? But its a nice idea and a good entry, well done
very strange game haha, well polished though. Im not sure how but I got the nameless misty. Was quite confused the whole time but it was still enjoyable :)
nice game :) its a unique idea, it felt a bit easy to dodge the turrets though. I think having a dedicated 3d artist would make it stand out more. Great job!
fun game, reminds me of hotline Miami
It would be good if there was some way of knowing the different combinations, or getting a clue. I found it difficult to find ones and kept losing Hp. Also I bugged and the game crashed for some reason. cool concept though
Nice entry, the art style was very clean, enemies have used used some movement animation though. I think the idea is cool but I felt like there wasnt much downside to losing your arms, as the gun was above my head. But its a nice concept and makes you think of what you need to sacrifice to get past the next part of the level. Great job!
really fun game, and just one simple mechanic. well polished too great job. Also the top guy is L.Luke which makes me laugh as my game is lunatic luke haha
Amazing submission, very binding of issac inspired haha. Could have used some useable power ups but great nonetheless
fun game, love the soundtrack. Think there should be a button to interact with the npcs as I kept accidently triggering their dialog. cool idea and fits the theme really well and in a humorous way
nice soundtrack and the concept is funny. could use maybe some different weapons or enemy types. but a fun game!
Great game, very well made. I found it quite difficult at first. it would be nice to have tool tips for the spells and minions. its very polished and fits the theme well. great job
Fun game, felt like everything could have been on once screen though, the bottles could have different shapes instead of different labels. I liked how the recipes were shapes as im a bit colour blind and would be lost without that difference haha, nice work
@max-torn ah sorry your right I was too busy looking at the labels to notice the shape haha, just the 2 that are the same, the shield icon one and the icecube one. still have the colour and the label difference though!
Cool game, love the music swap, the driving feels really solid too
great game, crows were terrifying. fits very well with the theme. great job!
This is probably one of my favorite games this jam so far, I love the concept, the timing is so well set up, blocking is the most satisfying thing. The camera angle works really well and I love the whole progression of choosing a new item each round, It reminds me of slay the spire
If this was made into a full game its one id spend hours on, well done!
Great idea, like the style of it too. I felt the text was a bit difficult to read whilst it was being typed out, but thats probably just me being impatient. would have loved to hear some medieval tavern style music. think it would of benefited greatly. great job though!
solid idea, I felt like it could have used some sort of other combat attack. maybe at the expense of life, it would fit with the theme too, as you make a deal with the spirit, he could give you powers but at a cost. I crashed at one point and im not sure why. reminds me of zelda, great job!
Love the art, cool game, would be cool to have more abilities
this is probably my fav game so far, its awesome and very polished, as someone who usually played healer it captures the dungeon healer experience perfectly!
Great game, super polished, music and art is awesome, and a interesting take on the theme. It was fun just tossing the knights in the air! I sort of wished you could pick up the swords and spears to throw those too! Nice job
Thanks for the feedback all, If I continue I will defo add an indicator where the knight is going. Also I didnt think about the non qwerty keyboard thing, so I will make arrow keys available aswell in the future, thanks @spawnie
@nonsans cheers, yeah I wanted to add a wave score or a 'deck' of spells that you added to each round. Just ran out of time. if I expand on this thats what I would add in.
Took some time to understand what was going on, but a nice idea, I think just a start menu with some instructions would help. The enemies were good at predicting my movement, Nice job!
The magic spell felt quite OP, I love the art style though, wish I had done that with my game as I usually make 3d games. Like others said it reminded me of paper mario. well done!
Awesome game!
I think it needed a lose state like a timer, or more gameplay that made you have to think abit, like arranging the wires so they connect to the right light. good job though, wanted to see what happened at the end. Should have made it a jump scare or something haha
Some great humor and references, it felt like a lot of trail and error but its well executed and feels like a fully finished game
great idea for a game, simple but super fun!
well polished, could have done with a tracker like enemies killed, also some screen shake when the planet gets hit would have added a lot. as others said it would be nice if the shooter was faster too. Great game though!
I was surprised how many options there were! I ended up opening a communist gardening shop lol, but I won! great job. would be nice to add some art next time or ambient sounds
Love the art, nice little game!
@jesusnoseq Thanks for playing! yeah I wanted the attacking to be fast paced and separate from the stamina. But perhaps there is a way to include it in and have stamina recover
@0x-void-x0 thanks! yeah was inspired by sekiro / mount and blade. I did have the stamina recover originally but changed it and added a refresh option when you choose an "upgrade". I would defo play around with it more and see how I could make it better if I could
@farzher Thanks!
@nakami Thank you, I was quite lazy with the art, and could have added more details. But I was having too much fun with the mechanics
@thedevatlas Cheers, yeah this was the first time I said to myself Im going to make controller support. was actually a lot easier to setup than I thought
@stamestratagem Thanks! I love sekiro too, its really satisfying to parry, and thats what I was trying to get right on this game.
@andrey-zhukov thanks! yeah all the models and anims were done during the jam. I used blenders rigify to make the rigs
you can dodge, but it uses stamina, and if you dont build up your attack later on you wont be able to kill the enemies fast enough. the dodges are mainly for the red (unblockable) attacks. if you block at the right time you can parry and it uses no stamina
@tosmaster Thanks! yeah haha its supposed to be fast to kill stuff, but later on you need to watch for red enemies and unblockable attacks
@chriiis88 thanks for playing! the black ninjas have the same 3 attacks, left right and up. and I havent changed the animation speed or anything, but have a random attack cd from like 1.7 to 3 I think. The first 3 enemies have less hp and more attack cd as sort of a tutorial
I may have made it too punishing but the idea if you can parry the attacks you wont lose stamina, so at least against the black ninjas, you can fight forever
There is a red ninja when you kill 10 enemies which has a glowing red attack which you have to dodge, but all his other attacks are the same as the black ninja with a shorter cd inbetween attacks
ah I thought I made it so you couldnt lose stamina from dodging during the start windows, but maybe something wasnt done properly
@chriiis88 haha, its combat you have to get used to a bit first lol. But it is very hard I think I should have make it more forgiving. even I struggle to get to 30 (which is the golden ninja)
@herryfabien yeah I think I should have made a queue input for the attack to make it smoother. atm it just will have a countdown and either allow you to attack or not. but it means you could press the button at 0.1 seconds and miss doing an attack by a tiny window. but it doesnt feel good. thanks for playing though
love the art style, and feedback on actions. but similar to what others have mentioned just gets quite repetitive
I was a bit confused on how things work, but it was quite a relaxing game, stardew valley vibes
For some reason the bottom Ui bar was missing the first time I played, so I was completely lost on what to do. I reloaded and it was there.
think its an awesome game, the art and music and great, and I really like how you have to plan where to place your buildings around the approaching enemies.
I didnt really understand how to get my guys to attack a specific enemy, if thats possible?
but defo one of the best and most polished games ive played this jam
cool game, felt satisfying to fire, was very difficult though!
I love it, really smart use of the theme and well polished with alot of content, and easy to pick up and understand
awesome game, the combat is satisfying. I liked how you use different attacks for different enemies. the controls felt a bit weird to me at first but I got used to it
amazing art, was a bit confused by the gameplay at first but got the hang of it. I feel like there could have been a sound for interacting with the house / keeping night as I didnt know what holding E was doing at first. Great job!
made me laugh, I wish there was more overall polish and sounds. as the rooms look pretty nice and are well lit. was fun to play great job!
cool game, wish it was longer as I was getting good at the combat haha. also would be great to have more options for controls. I decided to learn unitys input system this jam and its pretty easy to use and add new bindings to an action
great game, felt very punishing with the timer shots, upgrades, and being hit all reducing your life. but its a well polished game
fun game! the sounds match and indicate things really well
cool game! I very quickly got overran by the other colour blobs, with some other turrets and abilities could haev a lot of reply ability
This is great, really easy to understand and well made, and the style is amazing too.
this is cool, did a good job of making total war style formations. did find it difficult to tell the spearmen and swordsmen apart
cool game, could have used some sounds when interacting. and maybe a zone to indicate being in the bosses way. I didnt get fired!
liked the art and controller support!
This is great, one of my favourites so far. wish the gun was used more shoot targets to open doors or something. nice job! and in unreal too. I would like to do a jam in unreal one time
nice idea, and damn the map is huge
@fiinrii I could have explained it better with prompts and a better tutorial but the idea is you can only move in the direction the arrow is facing when you get the eye
I did have it originally so you could drop it and pick it back up. but it left it in the end as it was causing issues. Thanks for playing though!
@zgragselus yeah no music for this one, just overscoped @evilscotsman thanks, yeah just ran out of time for sounds @apoly yeah it can be frustrating, I originally had it so you could drop the package, so you you switch between normal and arrow movement. but just didnt have time to do it right
@robowarrior1982 im sorry hahaha, yeah I reckon if I came back to this id just keep the getting the eye and the ghost but change or remove the loss of control
probably my favourite art style for this jam
hard but fun and polished, nice game!
cool idea, wonder how it would be if you could move the balloon to different delivery spots
seeing the cars fly off in the distance made me laugh
the double jump is so satisfying, and its fun to just explore the world, nice job
really cool, reminds me of mad max
great game, really well polished, loved how they rolled pizza sauce out the back of the vans, and the suprise gameplay twist
enjoyed this one, could be a really cool game to expand on by adding hazards to avoid, and trick shots like wall jumping into a shot
great game, liked how it was easy to just go again after dying. feel like the crate texture could have shown how many hits you had left with it or something, and the camera could have been a bit smoother when turning, but a really solid game
great game, controlled really well
cool game, it was quite hard to control the truck but made me laugh blasting peoples packages into space
cool game, the upgrades to movement was a nice reward to have for collecting the flames
cool game, pretty chill
I like how the bushes have smiley faces, couldnt figure out how to deliver the packages
such a good game, probably the most polished entry ive seen
Very odd game haha, but enjoyable! the russian was hard to find. should have been doing a slav squat
Such an odd game hahaha, was fun though, liked the characters, one in the restaurant was a surprise Nice job, its really well polished
Fun game, feel like a timer would have made it more hectic. Also I think the power should have been a slider too, but nice job it was fun.
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
I forgot the collision around the platform.... I will update it when Im free. So please avoid the edges for now if you can!
UPDATE - the collision is fixed now
@Zyuxis Thanks for playing! yeah it was really fun to make and animate the fish! wish I could have made different enemies
@Q-ro Thank you for your feedback, If I had more time I would have added better ways to deal with the fish. i would add a HP item but I wanted that to be the lose condition. you have been left on the platform as bait and have to survive as long as you can
@Brendan Toy Hmm I'm not sure whats going on there, works for me on chrome. Thanks for trying though haha!
@Deprecat Thanks for your feedback, yeah I would have loved to make more enemies, I wanted to add a bottle which floated around and gave you stamina, or a fire in the middle. Just ran out of time!
Thanks for the feedback all!
This is a really good game, you should build it up and expand on it. Great art, music, mood, gameplay, theme, everything really.
its a bit tough at the start but once you know what you are doing becomes simpler. Really nice job
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
Great graphics! its a nice idea for a game but I feel like the jump was a bit to hard to get right, also 2 sushi spawned and I couldnt jump over them. Really lovely art style though, music was nice too!
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
Its a cool idea, the art and music are great. I was annoying that it kept pulling me out of the game, I wasn't sure when I should be looking at the map or the story slides. Nice job though
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
A fun simple game which fits the theme 200% liked the way it taught you certain mechanics. would have been cool to see more levels with the bouncy dots!
Great game! cool art style. platforming control wasnt super solid but its a great mix of ideas
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
I couldn't do the pan! reminds me of mini games like wario ware though
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
I like the premise of the game, though really struggled with the sluggish acceleration/turning of the car. The patrol cars moved very quickly and it was near impossible to change direction to hide/move out of their way. The level design is great and the use of headlights was a clever way of showing an oncoming car. With a few adjustments to the player's car control, this game would be excellent! Good work!
Music was so good! great art, could have had a more interesting boss fight at the end though. Great job! Really cool little game
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
Congrats on your first submissions! Game is solid and the art does the job it needs to. As others have stated, the enemy spawning is unfair to the player. Very nice idea and decently implemented.
Its got a nice mood and music. but the gameplay is lacking, there isn't much to do . Good job though. I like the camera angle. I couldnt figure out how to warm the house
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
The game is amazing. I played it straight through to the end, the final level had me on the edge! I think this game is incredibly polished and set on solid mechanics. The ramping difficulty was fair and gave me a lot of time to get comfortable with the basic mechanics and controls before introducing more complex challenges like combat. The level design was superb and I really liked how intuitive the controls were, being able to use both "shoot" and "fire" to fire the gun is a great example of how you guys put focus on the player experience.
Overall the game is fantastic. Great job.
If you type "7" it loads the next level btw!
Very ambitious game! It took me a while to fully understand the mechanics/objectives but after a few failed attempts I started to really enjoy it. Unfortunately I couldn't get the lure to work (I seemed to keep throwing it out the cage? Maybe I was meant to use it before going in..) and I also couldn't figure out which cage the indicators at the top represented. Apart from those little bits, the game is very nicely polished and very enjoyable. Good work guys!
Cool game! Love the effects, whale was great. Well polished too.
Thanks for playing my game aswell :)
Fun game, felt bad for the cute slimes though! Well polished!
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
Its a cool idea, nice music. I managed to just get through it by typing jump all the time though haha!
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
Damn it was hard! Its a really cool idea though, I kept wanting to play it and win. Music was catchy but a bit too staticy. Would have been nice to see some art with this! Great job

Its a cool idea, fits the theme really well. The music was a bit too loud, it was hard to hit the enemys sometimes aswell, a kick button would have been good so you could bounce the ball of the walls. Also, I died instantly against an enemy somehow.

Really unique Idea, I think it would be better if the new cards spawned a bit faster. But it was a nice takeon the guitar hero style game, added a strategy element to it. I liked it. Great music and art too.
