Not bad ! Gameplay very simple and cool but i think the game is too hard (house warmth grow up 10% when i've cut 10 trees, really xD ??). And it's weird that the music tune change when we move. The camera position (kind of 2D iso ?) is cool but a bit weird. For a LD game it's a very cool project ! Check out my team's project. Unfortunately the game is not finished but you could like the graphics : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/im-not-a-hero
That's great! :D
Good work! Simple and easily understood.
@DFKpmo haha I know it's not balanced yet!! I spent most of the time in creating mechanics itself 😅!! It's actually perspective view for the cam, I needed that angle for the bird eye view approach!!
Thanks for the feedback and I will surely check your game!!
@HKoisumi thanks for the feedback !! I will surely check your game :)!!
@siduslevis Thanks for the appreciation, I am glad that you liked it :)!!
Looks really beautiful and I'd love to play but I don't have a program to open the rar file :(
Simple and understandable concept, but way harder than i thought. I like simplicity and your game is full of it in a good way, great ratings along the way !
I really love the feel created by the lighting in this game! The game is easy to figure out, but is still quite challenging. Movement was a bit confusing, a way to rotate the camera would be great!
@bitten-toast-games you can use application like winrar to Extract the files!! I had to zip it since cloud websites will zip files anyway!!
@sleepyGrin @gegy1000 Thanks for the Appreciation and feedback, I am glad that you liked the Game!! I will surely balance and improve it further :)!!
Very good looking game, loved the atmosphere! I didn't figure out how to get a new torch once it runs out?
@CG_Fred Thanks for the appreciation, i am really glad that you liked the game!! You actually have to go back to camp and press E when near fire!!
Great ambiance and mood! I didn't know how to get House Warmth so I died :(
@Rayne Glad that you liked it!! when you collect the woods then you have to get back to camp to drop logs into the fire by pressing 'Q' to keep the fire going and that will eventually keep the house warm!!
The mood of the game is really good. The fire effects and dialog bubbles had nice animations as well as the text! It looks, of course, as a LD game ... The player was a placeholder box and the slider handles weren't disabled so you could interact with the sliders even if you couldn't move them. I like this kind of "survival" games so when I see one that works I like :P Good job!
@Mordokay Thanks alot for the feedback and appreciation!! I am really glad that you liked my game ,I actually tried my best but was not able to complete the player model and animations in time so i had to place that cube :p, n i will surely fix the bugs that you mentioned :)!!
Very goood , nice game 5/5!!!
Its got a nice mood and music. but the gameplay is lacking, there isn't much to do . Good job though. I like the camera angle. I couldnt figure out how to warm the house
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
This game is a great example of Heidegger's views on mortality. Wow...
Lovely little survival game
The dialogue was a nice touch, though hard to read sometimes as it didn't quite fit in the speech bubble
Good choice of music, and lovely visual/sfx atmosphere.
Main gripe was un-normalised input vectors. Not sure if intentional, but moving faster in the diagonal is just weird to me! :)
@fidrik Thanks for the feedback and appreciation!! I actually felt like it's lacking in game-play and i tried my best to add stuff but due to limitation of time this was the end product!! i will surely work further on game-play to improve it and i will surely try your game!!
@theslate Thanks XD but i never actually read about it :joy: , but now i will have to go and read about Heidegger’s views on mortality XD !!
@Almax Thanks for the Feedback and appreciation man, really glad that u liked it!! I Actually noticed that bug after i published it :joy: , will surely fix that later :p
I like the game idea. However, the player moves to quick and there could have been more trees to cut down. Great job on your start.
@john-timora thanks for the feedbacks!! Tree Densities are random through out the place so it can be totally different every new game!! i will surely improve the Game further!!
Sweet I will like to play it again when you update so keep me posted my email is ComputerWhizard@ComputerWhizardsGames.com feel free to right me anytime.
@john-timora Will surely update the game and send it to you :), thanks for showing your interest towards the game, your interest was really motivating for me :)
I'm interested, but I could not play. Because it's lagging in my computer. Demands great amount processing? My laptop is not that bad, its a I5 processor with Intel Graphics onboard.
I died of cold, just like here in canada. Cheers man, nice entry you've got going on here. The controls could be improved on a bit :p
Very Nice game!i like The idea :d
Very cool game, but it definitely needs more polish. I first played the game at Ultra settings, but it was too laggy, so I restarted at Medium settings. This made the game a lot darker. I bet you set the colour space to Linear without checking what happens to that at lower video settings. I managed the same thing in my game, I'm afraid.
I do like the concept, the audio is rather nice if you did make it on your own, and it could certainly be really nice. I just wish it weren't as dark, that there was a bit more polish, the grammar was tidied up, and the art style was a bit more cohesive. You've got a realistic axe with cartoonish, almost TF2-like trees, a block of a main character, and then an untextured fire pit. Maybe I'm just addicted to polish? ;P
A suggestion I have for you if you decide to keep making this game or make something similar at some point is that you don't use WASD in this way, and that you instead have WASD correspond to the player's local directions (transform.forward and so on), and have the player constantly looking at wherever the cursor is in 3D space, making him follow the cursor.
I must say it was a bit confusing at first, and I was dissappointed to find I could not enter the hut. I see the potential in this game, though. I don't know about the winter theme, and I don't know what the two genres are, but overall, good game!
A well-played game, it made me delight to try it ...
Nice idea and loved the graphics. I just would had differentiated more two genres to fit the theme, but it's a good game anyway
@ALKubo it's bit weird to hear that it's not working on i5 processor laptop!! i am not sure why it's lagging because i tested this game on an i3-4th gen processor laptop and it seemed to be working well!!
@N3K hahaha i actually spent most of my time watching your stream instead of working :joy:, i should have focused on controls XD!! Thanks for the feedback and appreciation, I will improve it for sure!!
Thanks for the appreciation @isaaclopinho !!
@WFMG Thanks for the appreciation and some really honest and helpful feedback!! I know i must have focused on polishing the game but i have my end semester Exams going on right now and the time i had because of that was very less and that is also the reason why i was not able to complete player model and animations for it in time and had to use that cube instead, but somehow i still managed to make this game out!! I will surely polish it more and will change how the player is actually controlled!! I will try to figure out lighting problem and i am not sure why it is lagging on some computers because i tested this game on an i3-4th gen processor laptop with 8 gigs of ram and intel 2gb graphics card and it worked very well with ultra settings(Fps was less for sure but it was playable enough)!!
@sg-alin Thanks!! i am glad you liked it!!
@Yahialds i know it's not really according to the theme but i had actually thought or survival plus horror, but i didn't really like the horror element so i decided to remove it at the end and just kept the survival part!!
I'm not sure if I can add anything on top of the feedback that you've already received from other folks. Let me just say that I enjoyed the game's atmosphere a lot and while some things could've been more polished it was a very nice experience overall. Good job!
@lemonbalmgames Thanks for the appreciation, I am really glad that you liked it!! I surely need to polish, Balance and improve it further!! i will make all the changes according to feedback i got from all of you!!
cool camera smoothing. the controls are a bit laggy tho
A simple and a okay fun little game. Liked the humour and the music in the game. Well done.
Good job! Cool game!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

Nice simple controls and a cool idea. Easy to follow. Good job!
@carter-andrews @jk5000 @cristiano-m-garcia @stefan-richings Thanks for playing game!! i am glad that you liked it!!
Nice creation here with great mood. Bit too hard but balancing and finishing a game in 72 hours is a challenge! good work!
@designernap Thanks for playing and appreciating my game, i am really glad that you liked it!! I will surely balance the game and update it!!
The feel of the game is great! I enjoyed playing for a while, but the balance is pretty off. The world was very sparse which made gathering wood rather tedious. The dialog was good, and the opening drew me into the game. Nicely done!
@Linkwin m glad that you liked it, I will definitely improve and balance the game further :D
