A Small World by akai_0okami 2017-05-01T17:11:25Z
I like the concept, but it lacks depth. Also, snow totally occurs in nature.

Great idea. Very addictive. Points would have been a welcome addition. Nice job!
Really nice art! Some indication of how much weight was too much would have been great. Good choice in music. Good job!
Pretty! The cube is a harsh mistress though. The random events wrecked me. With better balancing, I would have happily built stuff until the heat death of the cube universe. The flavor text was super good. Love seeing resource management games!
This fish murder sim would make my ex-girlfriend cry. Congratulations?
Yay, sounds! Hiding the orb on the first level kind of breaks the flow of getting used to the controls. Many of the jumps are not very forgiving. (Playing on a laptop track pad compounds that for me.) Good job!
The music loop made me physically ill for some reason. :) Good start of something.
Great game. Harsh opening, (I died my first 5 tries) but fun and interesting. Best sound production I've heard thus far this Jam. UI for total daily resource costs would have made this an amazing game. The tutorial and story fit very well. Solid resource management sim.
Reminds me a lot of Osmosis. But with a little gravity. That's cool. Jerky camera was super jarring though. A good entry!
So weird and wonderful. I played this longer than I needed to. Wish there were more cards that created land. Awesome game!
Fun! The difficulty ramps up way too fast though. Got stuck on the second planet. Good second showing!
I can't help but say stomage in a Strong Bad voice in my head.
Great game! Yeah, the aiming is not very predictable, and it would have been super useful to know which directions are which. Just like a big N in the north would have done the trick. The simple resource management was simple and made for interesting choices. Good job!
Very squishy in that good way. The music loop was not annoying, and other sounds were good. Movement felt a little off. Otherwise, great game!
The two frame run animation works great! Punching is really hard though. The little dudes running along side the train is great.
Interesting game! The bright stars moving really fast made me nauseous though. If they were dimmer, or didn't move at all, it would have been fine. See you space cowboy.
Fun! It was really hard on a track pad. Feedback when clicking and missing would have been great, as I missed the first several asteroids and wondered what I was doing wrong. Good job!
The phase/color weapon things was a cool idea. I wasn't sure what combos made things blow up though. The click to move seemed off. I beat it though! Good job.
Great idea. It was way to hard for me. I also spent the first few minutes trying to land on the closest planet. Too much KSP made me think I was going to fast to land on it. It would be neat if you could land on the non fueled planets if you slowed down enough. Loved the skip to next check point feature. I'm totally stealing that. Good work!
The worms look rad. I kept spinning out though.
I played this much too long. It could be a start to something pretty awesome. While playing, I just wish I could have painted tiles. Good job for your first try!
Nice style! The backgrounds remind me of Day of the Tentacle. Point and click adventure games are very ambitious for game jams, but you guys put together something really interesting. Good job!
Nice first game! I could defend myself forever by just holding the mouse button in one place, so there wasn't much challenge.
This is really clever! I like to poke at puzzles, and the timer kept breaking my poking flow. It took me a while to figure out how to deselect a microbe. Maybe clicking somewhere not on a microbe would deselect? The music was nice the first time, but got really repetitive.
Good work!
Brutal, but a good idea. I wish the difficulty ramped up a bit slower, so I could get used to the controls.
Maddening and infuriating and addictive. Congratulations! Sound, mechanics, and style are superbly matched. You must be a mad genius of some sort.
Interesting idea. The intro text was way too dark on my screen. The first two levels I just walked forward without even learning the game mechanic. Good job!
A simple tip for making menus looks better: change the font from the default and just show the text so that the text is the button.
31 days! Would have been sooner, but I needed to build a night club. Really fun! Loved the minimalist graphics. It didn't seem entirely balanced, but I never expect balanced games out of game jams. Really awesome to see a resource management game with a tutorial system!
@radmccool, yup the whaling boat at the end is the final boss. Thanks for playing all the way through!
Thank you everyone for playing and ranking!
Nice hybrid! The time mechanic is pretty great, but I died from it my first two tries because I didn't realize the timer was counting down. Changing the color of the count down text would be helpful to indicate the direction it's going. Great game!
The sounds added a lot. I would have liked to see more flavor around why things are breaking. Good music!
<3 Mr. Muffin. He's going to be the next Mario, I can feel it. The camera made me really sick though.
Awesome game! The planet faces are super cute. I felt bad every time I killed one. If you develop this further, consider golf style scoring and persisting the dead planets to make each level automaticly scale in difficulty. Way to go!
Love the vector style. Falling from really high and bouncing on multiple enemies feels great.
Interesting idea. I was not good at predicting which way people would go after poking them. Maybe adding colors to the names or something would have helped find people. Good job!
Nice platformer! Really wished the spikes were more obviously death. Good double jump.
Awesome! The bombs really tripped me up, because usually touching bombs is bad.
This kinda reminds me of Westport Independent. The world needs more newspaper games!
Nice vector art animations! I wouldn't call it a balance failure, since it is fixable. I liked the mechanic where the archer could shoot over the other dudes.
@plepletier Wow thanks!
@jesusache Thanks! Post jam version will have better feedback.
@carlos-giraldo Yeah, feedback right now is got great. Working on it :)
@cercle Thanks! I wasn't planning an isometric looking game, so it was kind of a last minute choice because I though it looked cool that way.
@dwemthy You were probably out of money. The feedback for that does not exist yet.
@elemental-zeal-game-studios Agreed! Thank you so much.
@sokuaisushi Yeah, I worked until the last minute to make a balanced economy. I couldn't find the right values though. Thanks!
@rodrigo-denubila Thanks!
@kpded Yeah, my original intention was introduce each new block one at a time. Thanks for the feedback!
@ryanjavanshir Thanks! Definitely will work on the new user experience for any post jam version.
@calzep Yeah, me too. Thanks for playing!
Great puzzle mechanic! Wish there were more puzzle elements. Very solid core gameplay loop.
A triumph of narrative gameplay.
Great puzzler! Nice amount of puzzle mechanics.
Really awesome puzzle platformer mechanic.
Vroom-vroom! I couldn't make it to area 2 though. Good job!
Yay Ski free references!
Good job! My first LD Jam a billion years ago was SDL, so good job there. But you ALSO targeted webasm with emscripten. Kudos!
Great idea. It kind of reminds me of towlr style games except it tells the player what to do. Good work!
Great mechanic! Some more action management would be nice, but overall great game. Good work!
Why are fruits on the other side of the store? Definitely on my top 5 poop based game list. Good job!
Good job! I couldn't make it past the second wave, but it was still fun.
I liked the positive spin on the inevitable. Good job!
Great game! Pacing between dialog and gameplay was top notch. Good job!
Now I want celery potato soup. Thanks!
Great game! Excited for the new Monkey Island game? :)
Looks fantastic! Good job!
Great chess variant! It would be awesome if the piece wore tokens applied to them as hats.
The minimal art style looks great! Good job.
I think I've had this nightmare before. Good work!
Cloud Shepherd is the best shepherd since Mass Effect. Good job!
Great idea! I got stuck on FPTP3 though.
The friends we make along the way are inevitable. :) Good work! I only wish you could see a little further out.
This is a great looking game! I liked the 3 different adult chicken types. Culling the chicken herd was an interesting mechanic. Good work!
@hadik: Thank you for playing! The music was fun to make.
@bcollins0000: Yeah, the upgrade every 10 seconds was my original idea, but... I ended up scoping down. Thanks!
@dominic-graziano, @astrydax: Thanks for stopping by the stream!
@sodor: Thanks for playing! Can't wait to begin SodorJam!
@inkajoo: Well that's your opinion, man. Glad you played it though. Thanks!
@kiririn51: Yeah, every bullet counts. Thanks for the feedback!
@kuviman: Good score! Thanks for stopping by the stream!
@snowl: That's a great idea. Bullets are time, so maybe I should have added unused bullets to your score at the end. Great feedback!
@jamersjam: Glad you liked the music!
@guardaro : You know what they say, leave them wanting more bullets. Thanks for stopping by the stream!
@spike-studio: Glad you liked the audio. Thanks for stopping by the stream!
@nardandas: Thanks! I've been playing around with a 2x1 pixel style, and I'm glad you liked it.
@chris1919: A pacifist point route is a great idea! I was thinking of adding your remaining bullets to your score at the end. 24 is a FANTASTIC score. I am not worried about you at all.
Great RPG! I liked the swears and all the blood and gore. I could red key door though. Awesome art and music. Way to go! Love it.
Really great game! I loved the mix of 3d environment and pixel art. The messy ship is a cool detail. Thumbs way up, but still attached to my hand. Kudos!
Yeah, trippy man. Good work making a game!
Really cute! I had a hard time aiming at the vampires. My removal as Headmistress was inevitable. Good job!
Thanks for making such a great game! As Leslie Nelson says, "Farts are the highest form of humor." Not only is this game fun and funny and has a nice chill guitar song, it's also an MMO. All... in.. one... weekend!! Way to good! Keep it up.
Fun game! I don't why, but I found being attacked by wolves to be hilarious. Keep up the good work!
I had a good time playing this game! It was hard to get used to, especially selecting the upgrade, but once I got in the groove it made sense. Good work! Thanks for stopping by the stream.
Nice and chill. Had a good time just vibing. Took me a little long that it should have to figure out I could collect the stars. Great job!
Great point and click game. I love the outlines around things you can interact with. I’ll definitely come back and finish it. Good work!
Great game! Love the music and the blades look rad. 1:14.28 yo! Good work. Keep it up! Can't wait for next jam!
229000 yo! Great game. I matched SO many things. Great chill music. Good job! Keep it up.
Way to go! This is a great game. It has everything. Zombies... Keep making games!
Take that red squares! Ha! Great simple game. I didn't notice the grenades until I read the comments. I think I got a high score of $9, but the score cleared when I died, so I don't know. Great work!
Oh this is pretty straight forward. Easy to understand. Steel drums.
Wait, what's this.
Yas
👍
It's just like really going to the club. Great commentary on the social hierarchies of meat markets.
Noice! You combined rockets and punching quite well. I punched many a rocket. Way to go.
Had a hard time then realized it used missile command rules.
It's more Bust a Move than Zuma. 😆 Still, it's very fun and well crafted. Good job!
Great work! I kept dieing without knowing why. I also felt a bit slow. 👍
Nice use of Bxfr! Unfortunately I missed a bunch of dialog from pressing buttons too fast.
I defeated death itself. ✊
Very pretty! Loved how each level progressed through Hegelian dialectic stages.
Nice RTS with some hidden depth. Good job!
Thank you everyone that played and rated!
That's pretty clever. Well done :)
Very enjoyable. I found spamming the 50 cost turrets to be very effective.
This game is a great example of Heidegger's views on mortality. Wow...
It's a fun toy! I didn't realize at first that the coins on the start screen were clickable. When I went back to the game, I was a tiny bit surprised that coins on the table were not clickable. All in all, good work.
I killed a bird, and now I feel bad.
Really liked the art style. The music really sets the mood. I found myself just clicking on every card.
Great idea with trippy execution.
Damn, that's a good take on text based platformers. Kudos!
Great concept! High score My PS4 controller was mapped wrong, so that was confusing when the aim axii were mapped to the triggers. Fix that though :) Clicking the bumper so much hurt my finger. :( Also felt bad for killing cute little slimes even if they did have aggressive eye brows.
Well done!
Great style. Took me a while to figure out how change ice cream flavors. Not sure if I just missed that in the tutorial. Very difficult for me to juggle 4 things at once. All in all, great job!
Also, block chain? 🤔 I get it, but still.
Nice! Reminded me of old civil war tactics games. Good job! On my high rez screen the text was hard to read, but once I had the basics, I didn't need to read any more.
Nice! An ending of some sort would have been good.
Nice hand drawn animations. Very spooky.
Nice first entry! With practice you'll get more stuff done. :)
I loaf this game. It has plenty of breadth.
Simple and elegant. Nicely done.
Nice job! Some of the letters look very similar, and it took me a sec to realize the U was a V and the E was a W. Looks very nice.
Nice and short and complete! Plus wall jumping. Good job!
Great! The jumping is a little too floaty though. Good job!
I like the cute seal blobs.
The slender dudes are spooky! Well done.
Nice art and sound. This game could be improved with more precise timing that endless runners usually require. All in all, good work!
