Congrats on completing your first Ludum Dare! The fact that you submitted a project is an accomplishment to be proud of.
A funny moment: I spoke with the other Jack Sparrow and he wanted me to find a monkey. I found said monkey and went to look for the other Jack. I found him in the ocean. That made me laugh.
A couple things you could do to improve the feel of the game: - Flip the sprites so they're facing the direction they're moving. - Make the jump faster. It feels like the character is floating instead of jumping.
I noticed a bug that sometimes the text above someone overlaps and is difficult to read. Congrats again on finishing, and if you get a chance, please check out my entry as well. Thanks!
Plenty of effort put into this game, I feel bad for only fetching Penny and Jack. Congrats on your entry, hope to see you add some sound effects next time but a great start!
Great firts entry. Some sounds and flipped graphics would have been nice. but you but so much work into the game. Maybe you run out of time. Overall great for the first entry! :) Keep up the good work.
The first thing I did was launch out of the cannon and got stuck in the building :laughing:
There's a lot of potential, and I have lots of ideas of how I think it could improve (i.e. animations, sounds, music, etc.), but I think this works perfectly fine for a compo submission, and I had a blast exploring your world.

Congratz on your first entry! It was supper silly to see all of them interact. One small thing I noticed was the first building on the right was a pixel to high. Besides that great job and keep up the good work!
Well, that wasn't a scenario I had ever anticipated! I couldn't find Jack for a while, until I discovered him hanging around in the bottom of the ocean, presumably looking for Davy Jones. The canon did a terrific job of launching me into the building where I was then stuck forever. (this seems fairly realistic mechanic) but I couldn't launch onto the roof to get the rum, which made me sad. Penny didn't want to talk to me. I couldn't understand what sheldon wanted as he kept talking over me..... again, a realistic representation of that character. All in all a fun first LD entry with a lot of potential for expansion! Flipping the sprites would be a good addition, as well as maybe speeding up the jump/walk speed. I'd also advise against using the same colours for the background elements as the characters as I kept disappearing into the doors of the buildings!
