LD39 — Running out of Power

Computer Crisis by PixelFormedStudios 2017-07-31T15:33:36Z

Really nice meta game, funny and creative with great graphics. Rating it really high, the only issues I had was how to get to the Todo-list and get the game up and running (may been active design choice) and that the font was difficult to read with higher resolution.

Jumping Jehosaphat by jharler 2017-07-31T12:20:11Z

Just finished playing it, so I guess the new version is Gucci. Great fluid game with nice level design and mechanics. Some more colors wouldn't hurt in my opinion together with the cute style.

Reverse Thrust by tiffi 2017-07-31T13:15:57Z

Good gameplay and nice with a tutorial and highscore. The humor was also a bonus! I did have a hard time to realise if I already had a core etc but with sound ques and stuff the game gave me plenty of feedback

Defend Home: Mars by sgt3v 2017-08-01T19:01:59Z

Really solid FPS and with some impressive models. One thing to bear in mind is that I think you move faster by strafing at an angle and walk forward at the same time. Not that it matters for this game, but maybe for the next one

Tesla Siblings by Linky439 2017-07-31T11:01:46Z

Great game, alot of polish with the menu, instructions, backstory. Solid gameplay and mechanics. A bit too much in common with other puzzle games named in the description.

Don't let running out of power by dcrdro 2017-07-31T16:58:11Z

Gratz I won! Nice work with so many different enemy types and animation. Having the instruction menu, a win condition and a health pool was all very nice additions.

Some more feedback from the game could be cool, indications of hits on the enemies and how long left to defend (maybe there was, I didnt see).

Great work!

Phelps vs Shark by kovareka 2017-07-31T15:09:41Z

Nice-looking game and I guess the "Running out of power" is the player from this click-fest  . I wouldn't mind some easier obstacles in the beginning of the map so you can get going a bit easier, and that shark really comes from nowhere, some warning would be nice.

LaserDefense by Gildar76 2017-07-31T17:49:50Z

Quite a fun and solid game with a unique game mechanic. I wouldnt mind some more graphical elements to keep the view interesting, and maybe some feedback about the individual turrets power for easier resupplies.

Power Struggle by Kriss 2017-07-31T17:07:14Z

Neat game, I just had issues seeing the hit% and energy% in the web player.

Good graphics and I liked the music and soundFX. The enemy behaviour was also pretty well done. I would have liked some more feedback about what my character actually was doing when I was running around spamming shift.

Charged Up by reecer9714 2017-07-31T17:14:01Z

I liked the graphics of this game. Some really nice enemies and animations on those dogs. Using the same bar for HP and Ammo was quite nice as well and showing damage taking with small numbers were cool.

LD39 Compo: Trindle Armored Defense by vkmicro 2017-07-31T14:01:21Z

A real flashback to old Battle City! Good intense gameplay with a solid menu and information. I got the fast vehicle while reading the instructions. Cant remember the score but didnt survive the full length.

###### Continue doing: - Solid game play - Intense - Clear graphics - Giving a solid feel with menu, start screen, end screen - Have the game giving good feedback (base under attack, sound ques for fireing etc)

###### Remember to: - Use the theme for additional ideas - Another win state than just survive

Anyhow, great game and thanks for your feedback as well!

Not Like This... by quixatocs 2017-07-31T14:47:34Z

- You may need to turn adblock off in order to play the game

Really unique game. Great sound effects, and the randomness keeps it fresh. But it did really start off difficult, I rarely had the chance to get more than 4-5 batteries in position. I like that the instructions where in the game world, but the difficulty was high from the start so you didnt really have time to read them. Like many others already said, the platform aspect was a bit clunky with the jump-pads.

Oh, the game was great btw!

Feed the Machine by SprovGames 2017-07-31T15:03:32Z

I like the gameplay and its a unique game to say the least. Especially since it plays kind of "backwards" in the beginning. That playing efficient is not a valid approach.

While the artstyle is crisp, I think that the machine could have a different look than the other batteries, changing the color or something to reduce the need of text to describe stuff.

RedLight by doorless 2017-07-31T16:50:47Z

Interessting graphics and good atmosphere. The light radius was really low making it difficult to make any progress. It felt like a game about exploring, but a bit too difficult in my opinion to see where I was going. Anyway, good artstyle and idea!

Sol Probe Power by GettingRekt 2017-07-31T17:35:24Z

Thanks for all the nice feedback, great community! I was so afraid of posting this game  I'm sorry its really difficult, especially since I haven't have time/knowledge how to do a menu interface for instructions. Thats why I disabled the gravity from the Sun and let some % of thrust be available even without Wifi, before it was really hardcore  (also the "scanner" (spacebar) was supposed to cost alot of charge!)

Sol Probe Power by GettingRekt 2017-08-01T05:16:11Z

@Johnnyc1423 I just Googled it. But the GravityWell is a sphere collider, with an onTriggerStay. ``` void OnTriggerStay(Collider other) { if (other.gameObject.name == "Player") { float distance = Vector3.Distance(other.attachedRigidbody.position, transform.position); //Get distance float gravityPull = (gravityForce / (4 * Mathf.PI * distance)); //change pull according to distance var heading = other.attachedRigidbody.position - transform.position; //get direction other.attachedRigidbody.AddForce(-heading * gravityPull); //pull with direction } } ```

Sol Probe Power by GettingRekt 2017-08-03T11:34:31Z

@deathray I may have some experienced with stranded astronauts and lost probes

Low Power Spacecraft by XavierSeal 2017-07-31T17:27:06Z

Great gameplay, sound, and graphics! Always trying to keep full energy to do more damage, and move faster was a nice touch. The game feedback is high as well, with dmg taken and enemies killed etc. Enemy variety in both looks and behaviour, well done intro, everything is great with this game. Maybe only a bit weak on the innovation.

Bot Beater by SMA 2017-08-01T15:14:54Z

I liked the controls and the graphics were quite nice as well. A good touch with HP bars on the enemies to make it easy to see the impact of blows and your power rating. A bit too unforgiving on the first enemies, being able to 2 shot an enemy was super important, otherwise it was more or less game over. Slick gameplay, a bit too difficult.

a story about a cat by increpare 2017-07-31T19:20:13Z

Great story-game. I love how the same area was reused so what was first unfamiliar became more and more like a home! By far the most story and moody game Ive played here

Rocket Barrel by Johnnyc1423 2017-07-31T19:06:48Z

Unique game for sure! I found it a bit difficult to understand if the barrell I was aiming for was moving, or if it was the austronaut that moved sideways in the air. Some kind of feedback, or reference graphics would have been nice. But overall, a good game!

Keep The Light Alive by Aligi 2017-07-31T15:21:22Z

Good game that really used the theme in the gameplay. The gameplay was solid, no problem moving and shooting and being able to push the other tanks was great. The player was a little bit too big for the map thou. Would maybe have liked to see some more feedback from the game about what was happining, when getting hit, running out of ammo etc.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Rocket Express! by wizzardMaker 2017-12-07T15:56:07Z

A nice clean game with interessting gameplay with the theme. I had quite a few strange deaths "position limit" or something like that, not only when pivoting too much. May have something with my resolution (1080p).

I played the 2:nd version, and it was quite nice. Great graphics (especially the bi-plane), physics and sound effects of the coins. Great work.

Greed is a $in by Linky439 2017-12-07T12:50:32Z

I enjoyed this game, with the different music pieces and basic gameplay with the greed-twist. I also like the addition of the different enemytypes and that the player attack became worse and worse, instead of the common way of making the player stronger and stronger.

Graveyard Shift by radmccool 2017-12-07T13:03:35Z

Quite well made game, the sound is the strongest part for me and also that it feels satisfying to keep shooting the zombies. Also a smart way to implement a warmup section on top of the building.

Ocean Explorer by Emery 2017-12-07T14:44:24Z

Nice gameplay, and the harpoon mechanic is very well done. Wouldn't mind having a timer to avoid only playing half full.

The music was a bit too short, so it got a bit repetative after a while. The multipurpose of the harpoon was a nice bonus as well

Lavish ROBO-Assemblage by GettingRekt 2017-12-07T16:23:35Z

@radmccool Thank you! You may have overheated, there is a small indicator in the far left that shows heat level. >100 equals damage. It should definitely been moved up next to the HP-bar

Lavish ROBO-Assemblage by GettingRekt 2017-12-07T16:51:53Z

@wizzardmaker Thank you for the advice. Sounds like a really nice fix. I was trying to clamp the values between a couple of max degrees, to get the "hovering" effect (also adding some kind of wavy displacement up and down) but then I gave up :) Yeah, flying is not a bug, its a feature!

Danmaku Burp by trabitboy 2017-12-07T14:26:29Z

Gameplay and mechanics are quite solid. Graphics and sound effects make it one of a kind! Balancing between shooting the enemies and avoiding the bullets (and food) was interesting. Overall, great game and always nice with menu and death scene.

Guardian Angel by Raven 2017-12-07T17:02:12Z

I enjoy the graphical style and the "thoughts" of the main character. The gameplay started a bit slow in my opinion, and I think I missed what the different things on the map was used for. Tried to shoot everything first, and then collect them (reading the instructions on this page helped).

Overall, nice graphic and storytelling. A bit weaker on the balance like you said. And making the game too easy is better than too hard in my opinion.

BoatAfloat by StratosKakalis 2017-12-07T18:05:42Z

Good first entry, the sound effects and graphics are quite well done. Gameplay could use some more time in the oven. I also liked the music, much different from most other games in LD. The controls were good as well.

BloXy! by sajid 2017-12-07T12:39:40Z

Great slick gameplay with nice graphics and movement + camera made the game even better. The changing environment was also a good touch.

Not much to complain about without getting nitpicky.

LD42 — Running out of space

Warp Tunnel by TheMonsterFromTheDeep 2018-08-14T18:40:41Z

Really solid game, with plenty of enemy variations and interesting waves! The mechanics were on point and the graphics and sound as well. My only complain is the shots blending in with the background, especially for the early enemies.

I also liked that it was as much a puzzle game because of solving the patterns, until the boss that is. Good job!

Ultimate Boss Battle of Doom by Gurbx 2018-08-13T18:31:03Z

Really good graphics, animations, units and UI. Enjoyed the ramping difficulty as well. Good job!

Cube Disposer by sh1rogane 2018-08-14T19:25:04Z

Really impressive. The work has been focused on the most important areas, solid gameplay and details where needed. Great sound and mechanics and the cubes works great as enemies. The small details, like the particle effects and everything is spot on. Great job

The Screen Saver by SvartTand 2018-08-13T20:44:32Z

A very polished game, and actually quick to beat so validate multiple playthrus. A liked all aspects of the game, the standing still while shooting really empathized each shot, like all zombie survivals should. And the screen size thing was cool! Good job!

Precious Things by Patrick Woodcock 2018-08-13T18:12:47Z

Really cool game, the controls and physics were on point. It was really easy to flip any items you wanted. And it was short! :)

Kessler Syndrome by SlimothyJ 2018-08-13T20:15:36Z

I had to try this since my game has a similar scenario, space junk! This game is solid, good mechanics, sounds, and graphics. Difficulty option is really sweet, holy crap its fast on higher ones! Good job!

Overload by ProgrammingDimension 2018-08-13T19:01:58Z

I got stuck with some panels up, but other than that I liked the game. It felt "alive", the tutorial was a bit wordy so I didnt bother to read it so I cant complain that I didnt understand the mechanics too well after that :) Good job!

Clear The Sky by GettingRekt 2018-08-13T05:37:57Z

@erasmus-crowley Thank you for your feedback! A lot of good ideas, C was implemented but made the game even buggier, but not in the editor, so it was too hard to troubleshoot. That's why I had to remove that feature.

Clear The Sky by GettingRekt 2018-08-13T20:23:39Z

@conorod @amkingtrp @fengol @derek-volker Thank you for your feedback! I'm happy you survived the interface :)

Clear The Sky by GettingRekt 2018-08-24T15:01:27Z

@shp Thank you! Yeah the use-flow is not very clear @rytannic Thanks! For a final version that would definitely be useful to use custom values @2bam Thanks! Yeah it was gone but now its x2, well better safe than sorry! :D @awix Thank you, I'll try it after work today! I didn't have any sounds 3 hrs before deadline so it had way too low prio @predominant Thanks! Do you think that this site with game-designing programmers has the right demographic for a puzzle game with programming mechanics in space? No wai! @ryan123rudder Thanks! A bit exaggerating but I'm happy to hear you liked it :)

Stack Master by Filipe da costa lopes 2018-08-14T18:16:56Z

Good music and animations. The gameplay was solid as well, even if getting unlucky with boxes in the corner was an issue. The slow sliding into the grid pattern was a welcome touch as well. Good job!

Power Plant by Noam 2018-08-13T18:48:40Z

I really liked this game. Was very clear with the UI and sound. The short games also makes it possible to try different strategies. Its also one of the games with the best "mood" around because of the happy flowers, there are no loosers in this game!

Rush Hour by pillowPillow 2018-08-14T18:54:57Z

Nice concept and some stunning art and extra points for mood with the feeling and story. The gameplay was quite random but there was always something to do. Good job!

Reductor (LD42 Comp Entry) by ConorOD 2018-08-13T19:30:59Z

Solid game with really a nice feel. Seemed like good balance for the weapons and good presentation with the UI. The screen shake was a bit much like other has stated but a really polished nice game! Good job

Moving Out! by 2bam 2018-08-14T18:04:09Z

I like the fact that there are multiple mechanics. With the ratmen and value changes for the items. Also the fact that the game tracked current values was pretty cool. Good job!

Unbelievable Space Runner by Derek Volker 2018-08-13T18:24:17Z

I started writing feedback, but then I saw ppl write about the ending! I died twice because phasing activates on "key click" and not on "key down". But now Ill try to see the ending.

Ok, that was sudden :) Anywho, like most ppl likely said. The music is a real banger! Give soundtrack! I also liked the backstory and the effect when picking up the purple radiation.

Running Out of Space by Danny Sun 2018-08-13T19:55:03Z

Pretty solid game. I liked the graphics and shooting sound. The collection of different asteroids was a nice touch as well. Good job!

Mike's Movers by William Corrin 2018-08-13T18:07:58Z

Super polished game, the tutorial section was really well done.

The Eternal Fight (for space in bed) by derpylz 2018-08-13T18:37:56Z

Really nice idea and I appreciate the instructions. Even if I wasnt able to combo anything, just hold left key in order to win. The sleep effect gave some feedback about failing combos but I never knew why it failed. Good job!

WASH UR BALLZ by SteamPunkProgrammer 2018-08-13T19:13:49Z

Cool concept and a really good looking game with the color effects. Really easy to understand as well and the controls worked fine. Good job!

malloc() by NULLandKale 2018-08-13T17:58:49Z

Pretty cool game, some nice features like all the modifiers and the arrow towards closest enemy. I did get lost thou and couldn't find the last ~15 ish. Wouldn't mind to have some kind of "anti circle-strafing enemy" :) Good job

ChoppaFly by Lux77 2018-08-13T19:40:29Z

Good looking game, and plenty of details in the level. I had some issues seeing where I was supposed to go but overall a decent game, good job

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Small God by Wevel 2018-12-06T21:19:20Z

Quite expansive game with plenty of mechanics. I didn't really know what to do but it was really polished with great graphics, nice menus and complexity. Good job!

Blob by concalf 2018-12-13T19:30:26Z

Really good entry, solid gameplay and the graphics, sound and feel to back it up. As other said, I would have prefered to restart the level over the game but that is really minor. Good job

AI Robot Hoomsday by godsboss 2018-12-04T20:31:22Z

Really nice game, with some art and background as well. I never quite understood the turning of the robots but I enjoyed the puzzles and overall a solid game. Good job!

hiJack by SecretPocketCat 2018-12-14T20:37:15Z

Nice atmosphere in this game and really good feel in the sound and controls. The variety was high with different enemies (or ships to pilot) and the sound track really fit the game. Good job!

Save the Sheep by Laien Pathfinder 2018-12-13T20:05:51Z

Great atmosphere in this game, the music was a banger and giving all units responses gave them personality. While it wasn't very difficult it did show some nice ground work for a game with more levels. Good job!

Tenoch's Turmoil by evbo 2018-12-13T19:50:44Z

That was stressful! But quite an enjoyable game. I liked that there was a story element to it and the humor was on point. As others already pointed out, some kind of counter would be cool even if I think the "anger" from the god was a good way to show how urgent it was (if the music didn't already provide that). And I didnt really know how much I lost for giving the gods fruit to the family. Good job!

Super Robot Carl by Dosenhering 2018-12-04T20:06:16Z

Enjoyable game, a bit too hard maybe but fitting the theme and really polished with menu and settings and a help function. Also the levels were short but still varied with insides and outsides. Good job!

Let Me Eat You! by v1ru6 2018-12-09T21:21:16Z

I always like a game where the controls are not the standard movement. So I enjoyed the indirect control of the eatmes. Took a while to get my bearings but after that it was a soothing movement. Good job.

Fridge Raider by BytingGames 2018-12-04T19:42:16Z

Well I haven't seen this mechanic before! Nice feel for the physics, throwing around the food stuff. I wasn't sure exactly what to do but I did enjoy it! It is a really polished game with nice music and graphics as well. Good job!

Seppo VS Goblins by Feilkin 2018-12-13T19:41:38Z

A really cool game, who is Mario? Seppo is the only platformer we need! Like others said, it was a really solid game with the graphics and and voice lines. And even boss with patterns and a winning condition. The only thing maybe lacking is the sacrifice mechanic but that's minor. Good job!

BLOODY BULLETS by selavy 2018-12-13T20:42:47Z

Nice little game, I felt like the difficulty spiked a bit too fast, I didn't have time to get many blood orbs before loosing. That being said, I enjoyed the recoil when shooting and it was a nice touch having the enemies shrink when taking damage (maybe they got a bit too small for an old bloke with poor eye sight like myself). The starting screen was also a nice touch with information about the game, and end credit screen as well. Good job!

Duof by island-jam-2-group-3 2018-12-04T19:15:10Z

Solid mechanics and gameplay. I would have loved for a kill count or a "goal". It felt smooth, switching spells and dealing with the zombies were fresh. Good work!

Making Ends Meet by agwblack 2018-12-06T21:09:23Z

This game really nails the mood and theme. While I failed to see how my choices mattered much, the storytelling aspect is quite good. Nice work!

ChosenProtector by Suchista 2018-12-13T20:29:09Z

Really nice tuning of the difficulty, I actually bothered replaying it until I made it through. I liked the different enemy types (and towers). It was satisfying to squash the enemies and small things like the happy faces when you win makes a lot! The fact that the enemies always charged the guy in front didn't really bother me, its kind of nice when a game is consistent like that! Good job!

Fly Lightly by Sitarra 2018-12-04T19:22:44Z

Really polished game with a fitting soundtrack. I quite enjoyed the menu and icons for statuses and intractables. Good job!

Bee Defence by antonhvid 2018-12-04T19:33:23Z

A good game all around! Nice way of using the same resource for multiple things, never having enough of everything at once. A menu and music that really sets the theme as well. Good job

OVERCHARGE by Jonas Tyroller 2018-12-14T20:03:30Z

A really polished game with balanced game play and difficulty. I enjoyed the variety of the towers and levels. Matched the theme as well. Good job!

LD44 — Your life is currency

Overburnt by Ithildin 2019-04-29T19:01:21Z

I enjoyed the graphics for this one, and also real nice variety with all the different customers. I didn't have to fight the fatigue thou, maybe I was just slow enough naturally to keep a good pace. Also showed some nice features with slots that could produce different kind of goods (swords) or even combine materials. Good job!

Sweet Squish by Dvlv 2019-04-29T19:31:02Z

Nice humor and really fits the theme. Really cool effect in the dialogue system. Good job

The Grim Tower by Drunk Wizard 2019-04-30T18:02:18Z

Great game! I had issues with the magic (was unable to cast anything) so ended up just unit spamming. Still was enjoyable just watching the battles play out. A bit easy to "snowball" after the first maps. Impressive with the amount of units it could handle!

A Cup's Life by Anderssonkev 2019-04-29T19:51:12Z

Really nice and polished game, the animations really gave the characters... well character! Everything fit, and the maps were just challenging enough for a game jam. Great job!

The Devil and Some Aliens Went down to Georgia by David Markham 2019-04-29T18:53:27Z

Solid entry, it fit the theme and nice touch with the dialogue to start. As people pointed out, the movement is a little bit slow in the beginning. I enjoyed the music. Good job!

For the captain. For the ship. by Retti01 2019-04-30T18:19:51Z

That was some pretty difficult fights right off the bat. I have no idea how to win against a similar strong AI, maybe they had a pattern I was missing. But a very solid game with multiple different game play loops. Good job!

Goals by vanLeiden 2019-04-29T19:38:35Z

This game had really good atmosphere, nailed the theme and overall great presentation. It was also short enough to play through and had some spins with moving blocks and stuff. Great job!

Fools Fortune by Gear Steak 2019-04-29T19:08:06Z

Really nice presentation in this game, lovely graphics and style. As others pointed out, having more feedback on your actions than just drawing a number would be nice. But overall, a solid entry, good job!

Boxes Rush by Mia Devs 2019-04-29T19:19:21Z

That was some creepy music (but good)! It made it feel like I was in a horror movie! I had some issues with the jumping but overall, cool game.

This Game Blows by fibonacci1321 2019-04-29T19:59:22Z

Really interesting game, unique mechanics and sweet atmosphere. Some soothing music and its GOTY 2019, good job!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Train won't die by GettingRekt 2020-05-04T08:11:09Z

@bernhard Thank you for the positive feedback. I'm happy you pushed through the... lackluster UI and actually made it all the way :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Looper by jk5000 2020-10-09T16:25:09Z

Great juicy gameplay but like many has said already. Not labeling the Parameters made it way too difficult. It took half the time sometimes to just get a fully rendered loop and then you still had 2 more parameters to try out. Anyways, one of the best looking and sounding games I've tested. Good job

Loop Invader by Ale 2020-10-11T10:38:27Z

Great game mechanic and plenty of levels. But the frustration of writing on a non English keyboard together with the analysis paralysis to draw the perfect square at the perfect time made me quit way too early. Also the TL;DR instructions doesn't tell you about the while and if blocks. So the playing flow for me went something like: LDpage > TL;DR > Play > Easy zap first level > Impossible level 2 > Check Youtube video > Realizing you can impact the playing field > Struggle with non-english keyboard

So it is like the best LDgame Ive tried but the onboarding was really rough (for me).

Control Loss by D-Studios 2020-10-11T11:19:36Z

Good base game. The basic control, shooting and collisions all seems solid. The two things I think would have made the game really shine is some Sound Effects and an indicator for when the next loss of control was incoming. Since now it only forced you to keep in the center of the corridors to not bump into the walls.

Damn This Plane! by axelrinaldo 2020-10-10T11:10:43Z

A perfect game in scope that has all the polish it needs. No area is really lacking and the controls are tricky but you may find ways to outmaneuver a decent AI. Great job

Mystic Dungeon & Mighty Mustache by namnam 2020-10-06T08:21:35Z

This game is better than my Dungeons and Dragons game. The sounds are really juicy and the fights are actually exciting (the first time through). It was also a great take on the theme. Good job!

Last Command by GettingRekt 2020-10-04T19:05:11Z

@dawndev Thank you for your feedback. Yeah I should probably have used a dynamic camera. I used the fuel mechanic to not have to bother with adding the camera but it would have made it much easier to make interesting levels.

Wild Ride by CaptainDreamcast 2020-10-13T20:08:03Z

Great mood, story, theme and even the mechanics even if it mostly ended up being trial and error and sometimes it was really difficult to successfully connect with a track. But overall, great game and I like the addition of a story, good job!

Suburban Bus MAYHEM by joonamo 2020-10-13T19:42:42Z

Impressive game with navigation agents that are able to not only go to the bus but to the stops as well. The sound effects and music also kept the insensitivity up. The graphics are also well above most compo games, great job!

Bee, leave it or knot by Hanra 2020-10-13T19:54:08Z

The game mechanics were good enough for me to play through level 1 but holy moley that was alot of time playing snake! The biggest improvement for me would have been to not being able to run into yourself by doing a quit 180 turn (and the level requirements was too steep). However, it was a really good game and the levels seemed to be getting more and more interesting.

Lupe by Nachodlv 2020-10-12T15:20:10Z

I liked the back story and the music fits. The gameplay was simple but entertaining! Good job!

We need to talk by bereg 2020-10-05T17:54:23Z

Really solid entry with a great atmosphere and dialogue. I missed an indicator for when a dialogue card wasn't playable. Getting a "a honesty option is not available now" removed some of the immersion from a great game. Good job!

Terraform Express by Josh Roby 2020-10-05T16:23:37Z

I didn't understand what I was doing. And when I finally changed my keyboard to English in order to have a "?" key to press to activate the help... well the help screen was already opened :) Anyways, it seemed like a really unique game and the graphics are clean. Good job

Just In Beaver by ondy1985 2020-10-09T16:30:54Z

I found this game greatly balanced when it came to graphics, UI, playability, sounds (a bit lacking without music but hey, better than bad music!). I think the limited scope of the game helped it out quite alot. Good job!

Newster - A Fantasy Social Media Sim by NamidaSai 2020-10-09T16:16:19Z

A well done game when it comes to the graphics and interface etc but it required quite a lot of reading to play that got a bit tedious. Good job!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Strange Platinum by Poorwill 2021-04-26T16:35:19Z

I like the approach of only manage where the miners go and hope for the best. I didn't find too much impact from my actions and maybe the first level should only have one "event square" (the exit) instead of suddenly breaking into an enemy base. The mechanics of this game much have taken plenty of time and I wish some time would have been put into sound (or maybe it didn't work for me). Impressive game!

Into The Dark Blue by Stampizi 2021-04-26T16:48:41Z

Flappy bird, is that you? The difficulty was tuned a bit too high for me. But the mood was great with the graphics. I missed some nautical music or sound effects to really bring it home. Great entry!

Try again by Cryoxe 2021-04-26T16:24:47Z

The foundation of the game is really good with nice dialogue and camera. The also enjoyed the style even if the later.. deaths made it really difficult to parse information. Great job!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Inevitable Defense by CodeChomper 2022-04-04T21:14:05Z

I like the polish with the parallax effect and walky talky filter. I would have loved that the camera displayed more of the area in front of the helicopter since I wasn't good enough to actually see a human get abducted before I died. Great work!

Captaining the Demise by GettingRekt 2022-04-05T15:13:19Z

Thanks for all the feedback! @appoxgames Yeah the cargo was supposed to be meta progression but it ran out of energy so left it out of scope

@Yokin Cool, you actually managed to get another end screen message (that was supposed to pop up as "Achivements" while playing the game but I had to cut some corners

ENDURACE - Drift Or Die by Phillip Scott 2022-04-07T09:08:51Z

Impressive game, especially with the AI drivers. I liked that you got different starting positions and the camera transitions. I did miss having a HUD for laps and damage taken but I guess it was mostly a design choice.

Mages and Essay Pages by Haastregt 2022-04-04T21:25:22Z

Great idea and well executed. Both parts of the game was entertaining, even if it seemed 50/50 with the card game. I liked the 2D lighting and shadows.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Portal shield charge by GettingRekt 2022-10-03T14:56:39Z

@fstleo Indeed, HighFleet is the most underrated game I know. I wouldn't mind having its soundtrack!

Ten Second Dash by Andrew Hoyer 2022-10-03T15:07:00Z

Great game with plenty of polish. I liked the death counter and the dash. I didn't quite understand if I would die after 10 seconds or if it was mostly figuratively speaking 10 second levels. Good job!

Resource: Remixed by Phillip Scott 2022-10-04T16:30:45Z

Great atmosphere and graphics. I didn't quite understand what to do but I had a good time even if I wasn't able to finish it.

LD52 — Harvest

Combine Harvester: Time Attack! by Christian Zommerfelds 2023-01-08T22:26:47Z

Solid entry, the fact that you can record a path for the harvester is really cool. While the gameplay is basic the controls are still pretty good. Too bad you didn't have time to make sound, that would have made the game really pop off!

LD54 — Limited Space

Adelie - Someone Like You by Meep 2023-10-06T09:12:38Z

Great game with the visuals and the gameplay. Alot of polish as well. But oh boy did it make me feel stupid, stupid and slow at the same time. Even with a gaming mouse there is quite easy to get lost in the sauce at normal speed, I wouldn't dare to try to play this with a trackpad. I guess I'm just too old.

Bon Voyage by binroot 2023-10-07T10:02:17Z

Nice concept and the music really fits the laid back gameplay. While it was rewarding to see the survivors on the island, it also felt abit like I spent 90% of the game loosing, just watching them die one by one. Great work!

Forklift Frenzy: Limited Space Edition by denvil 2023-10-02T18:52:14Z

Really well polished game, with the skidmarks and the shop to keep things fresh. Great job!

Vessel Run by freamdev 2023-10-05T18:14:06Z

All the parts of a great game is in place, if it was finished It would most likely been quite enjoyable. The graphics and UI all works fine. The shield shader looks really good!

Tow To Tomorrow by GettingRekt 2023-10-01T21:39:51Z

@Stonf Thanks for great feedback and detecting that bug. In the version before I only activated the ships after they got towed (to avoid checking for docks on all ships all the time), but that meant that if you only pushed a ship into the docks it wouldn't trigger any $$$. So I added that ships were activated by pushing as well, but clearly I didn't check if the ships already was docked, meaning pushing docked ships was a gold mine. Thanks to your early feedback I was able to fix it before the deadline :)

Get rid of the alien! by Jejkobb 2023-10-08T17:02:56Z

The first puzzle game that actually made me feel smart. The levels started out easy and were pretty doable all the time because of the limited amount of moving pieces. The music and graphics were all great and effective. I like the tween on the moving items. Great work!

Crampy Kitchen by BisnessPirate 2023-10-07T09:51:53Z

Nice game, while basic it really does feel like a game with clear instructions, easy to grasp gameplay and a high score to make it worth while to try again. Like others have said, it really capture the hectic feeling of running a kitchen. Great job!

V-SHRINK by Zliebowitz 2023-10-06T11:05:23Z

Great game and the introduction with the gem and the game over screen with the buttons were really cool. Overall super high polish! I found it quite difficult thou and wasn't even close to getting all 8 gems. Good job!

Limited Space in Space by Fifut 2023-10-02T13:13:05Z

I really enjoyed this game, simple and effective gameplay. I got fooled by the music, thinking it was a important to be quick instead of fuel management. But after figuring that out, this turned out to be KSP 3. Great work

Auto-Pilot by woona 2023-10-02T17:16:20Z

Great game, lacking instructions but when I finally understood what I was supposed to do it was really well done and balanced. Impressive take on the theme and autobattler. Good job!

The Carver by Cymusi 2023-10-02T19:48:58Z

Took a while to understand but provded to be a really good and minimalistic game. There was also alot of potential for expanding with additional development time. Great work!

Limited Grades by Triangle Point 2023-10-02T17:34:25Z

Nice take with a voice over tutorial. I got stuck "outside" the room on my first go and the second I didn't really know what to do. Just wacking at the grades which gave me a F. Even if I didnt know what to do it was a well polished game! Great work!

Skyfallers by almageddon 2023-10-02T17:39:59Z

Great looking game that is easy to understand and play. I liked the touch with the aircraft pulling the "You win"-text. Good job and congrats on your first game!

Running out of space by Tal28 2023-10-02T13:00:50Z

A clever idea with the theme and I liked the sound effects. As some earlier posters I would have liked the shrinking to be faster and impacting the gameplay more. That being said I enjoyed it, great work!

Nice Park! by Barbabulle 2023-10-03T12:35:01Z

Impressive game with plenty of polish but also great gameplay. The fact that there is no real loss-state together with the chill music made it easy to take your time to park. Atleast until the frustrating go-cart levels. Great work!

Clearing space by Sevansevan 2023-10-02T17:27:55Z

Great puzzle game. It took some time to realize what I was supposed to do and I wasn't able to finish it when the puzzles started to be 5 clearings long. Good job!

Three-Story Up by vlad-r 2023-10-03T16:15:28Z

Incredible game, felt like I was being super smart but it was mostly because of the easy and slow way to failure. One of the games that captured the theme of limited space the most, feeling in drawing ever closer. Great job!

LD55 — Summoning

Necromancy Survivors by Gorr 2024-04-15T14:49:24Z

Solid entry, with plenty of juice and polishes. I didn't understand how to summon the first skeleton but after that it was smooth. Also appriciate the kill count.

Meteor Portal Siege by GettingRekt 2024-04-15T15:09:49Z

@gorr @freakyzelga Thanks for your early feedback. I added a gif that hopefully can help future players with the unintuitive controls going forward!

Arcane Outlaw by jordantanner 2024-04-20T09:56:12Z

A really juicy game with the music, screenshake and graphics. Also plenty of nice small details like the double jump and the boxes in the corner. Seemed a bit buggy with the enemy target counting. Getting more and more out of sync. At level 30 the next wave spawned while almost all the targets were still up (and I think many of them were multiple at the same spawn location). Still, extremely well done entry. Great job!

Ancestral by deformhead 2024-04-17T14:28:04Z

Nice little game. I quite enjoyed the atmosphere and the learning curve. Did get stuck under the map without dying on the screen with the two bridges. The movement was a bit too quick for me but overall great job!

Rat Lich King by Kyle Bowman 2024-04-15T17:40:13Z

Nice game, I quite enjoy moving with mouse input. I'm not sure if there was an end to the game thou.

Summoner's Paradise by poboy 2024-04-16T13:21:16Z

Good looking and fast paced game. Great job!

Dwarven Escape by zKlau 2024-04-17T15:03:06Z

Great vibes in this game with incredible music. I didn't really understand what I was supposed to be doing. I just mined, spam summons and failed every single time. I guess from reading the comments that I need to strip mine the whole place so I suppose I give it another shot because of the banger music. Nice job!

Witch Courtier by alpacalypse 2024-04-16T14:46:08Z

Well polished game with great theme! I enjoyed having 2 different game loops to go through. Maybe it was a bit too difficult, I only managed to get 18 drawings and while I would liked to have see the (good) ending it did take quite a while (+concentration) to get that far. Great job!

Ghostly Lens by MorePixels 2024-04-16T08:33:11Z

Really good game, with a great atmosphere. It was quite innovative and plenty of polish. I also like the fact that there was an extended "how to play". Definitely something I will use going forward. Splendid!

The Purple Portal by Bo Dangles 2024-04-17T13:05:58Z

Good entry, with the summons feeling pretty smart and useful. Also continue on a level after dying was a nice way of getting through the game even with a pretty high difficulty. Great work!

The Blinding of Isaac by Cymusi 2024-04-20T13:59:45Z

This game was quite a journey to play. I felt like I was colourblind for the first time in my life because summoning the hand requiring different shades of blue/purple +making it confusing when you didn't really know what the feedback for right/wrong would be. And when finally actually getting the correct potions, being soft locked behind the ladder. Atleast this time I knew which shade of blue that was the correct one and kept my eyes open for more softlocks (felt like there was one available with the boxes as well).

However, the game's great atmosphere kept me playing. After the light turned on, I guess I won? Was Isaac deaf as well or did I miss to get a record to play as well? Overall, a great game regardless of the soft locks and my issues with the colours and it surely fits the theme. Good job!

Reverse Rituals by freakyzelga 2024-04-15T15:07:55Z

The twist with summoning humans to another plane was a really cool theme. The one thing I would have loved to see would have been some juiciness. Some bells and whistles to the clicking and of course the ticking income! (I didn't hear any sounds and since it wasn't a category I guess it wasn't available). Anyhow, great entry!

Frame Wizards by AlezJL 2024-04-21T14:26:20Z

A really enjoyable game with great atmosphere and fitting the theme. I liked the transition between the different screens. Some more feedback for what was happening when combining stuff is the only critique I have. Great work!

LD57 — Depths

LD57 - Slappy's Reef by Scott R Howell 2025-04-07T16:36:18Z

Really polished game with alot of juicy effects and great visuals. I didn't really know what I was supposed to do but felt rewarding just jumping around and diving, catching random fish. Great job!

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-07T11:38:48Z

Great looking game and jumping was quite fun. Too difficult for me so I didnt make it much further than the purple rocks and slooping edges. Great work!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

The Matter at Hand by Chaseplays 2018-04-23T18:42:12Z

Really solid game! Nails the theme and fun, and all the other parts are very polished. Seems to be alot of content as well, one idea could be to show how many levels there are total (if I knew there are only X levels left, I may try to complete all the levels). Overall, a really great game, ship it!

Clidger by Mathiouza 2018-04-23T19:36:01Z

Holy crap I'm not a bullet hell player, I rarely survived the first 4 enemies so I couldn't really use the shop or other features of the game. I like the graphics and feel of the game and the gameplay is solid although way too difficult for me. Good job!

RTHM by fashionbatman 2018-04-23T18:52:25Z

Nice music and solid game. I like all the different portraits and names. And the fact that you could choose which emoji to use. Also nailed the theme imo. Great job!

BREAK // HELL by Incredible Ape 2018-04-24T19:16:25Z

Incredible solid game play and "feel". Nice idea and implementation as well as great graphics and audio. This game has it all in my opinion. And a nice ramping up difficulty as well. Good job!

Combo Maker by TheMadPangolin 2018-04-23T18:12:11Z

This was a really enjoyable game! Kept playing until I lost. Great music and mechanics. Took me a long time to figure out the controls and the enemies mostly died by falling bricks so they didn't add too much to the equation. Overall a very solid game. Best yet (out of all the... 4 I've tried!)

Colony Sniper by ab200 2018-04-23T18:24:12Z

@ruoyu It may be because if you have adblocker on itch.io, they usually require you to watch an ad to play a game hosted there.

Interesting game, a bit much to read while fending of the aliens and I couldn't find any camera control buttons, only edge pan which worked fine. Overall, the game seems to have plenty of mechanics and the limiting resources forced the expansion. Fit the theme nice as well and a lot of graphical elements. Nice work!

TetrisBridgeBuilder by GettingRekt 2018-04-23T21:39:48Z

@LegionGames Thanks for the tips! Yeah, its a problem, spawning blocks after the bridge is finished. But if making it more of a puzzle game it wouldn't be a problem since most likely it would be a "build phase" and a "test bridge phase". Or getting bonus points for fewer bricks (and having a button for "stop spawning bricks please"). I'm sure you find a way to make it happen! :)

TPS: Top Person Shooter by JustMars 2018-04-24T18:13:42Z

A really cool concept and solid implementation as well. I liked that you could choose the levels, made it easy to know how much content it was left. I enjoyed this game quite alot

Pong 'Em Up ! by MrSchlag2 2018-04-23T19:44:26Z

A solid game with a nice vs AI mechanic. I like how the targets spawn from outside of the level before entering, a nice touch. Good job!

Fight For Food by BloooBird 2018-04-24T16:47:24Z

The concept is cool but I didn't even manage to make pancakes even after 5 minutes of playing. Some nice touches with the fridge inventory and different weapons making different ingredients. I would have liked an easier difficulty. But ambitious work never the less!

Fish & Ships by Jnyrr5 2018-04-24T16:59:19Z

Really nice looking game, and I love the simple but effective UI and feedback the game provides with cross hair, sound effects and all that jazz.

Ratty's Stew: An Immersive Cooking Simulation by joekickass 2018-04-26T20:12:11Z

The polished graphics combined with solid gameplay makes for a really good game overall. Extra points for the cuteness!

Ducks Hunter (Shooter + Racing) by StarzzDrak 2018-04-23T17:54:28Z

Well that was a new kind of game, almost like a biathlon but with cars instead (shopping trolleys?)! Overall a game with plenty of content, menus and sound effects. I enjoyed it!

The Play Ground by LegionZ_Gaming 2018-04-23T17:46:25Z

Plenty of effort put into this game, I feel bad for only fetching Penny and Jack. Congrats on your entry, hope to see you add some sound effects next time but a great start!

Birdy by HagamosVideojuegos 2018-04-24T17:54:43Z

Really polished game. Nice graphical style and interesting levels. I couldn't finish it but should have used the Load/Save mechanic I guess. Good job!

Dangerous Fields by Gavin Camlin 2018-04-24T18:06:13Z

Nice looking game with solid mechanics. I like the polish with both menus and intractable items in the world. I never survived the full game thou

Type Rider by Noah Eichler 2018-04-23T17:38:43Z

Solid game with nice pre-race camera movement and catchy sound track. A bit difficult but that was the moral of the game as well. Fit the theme very well and good humor.

Flong! by Mil 2018-04-26T17:12:39Z

Nice concept and solid execution. Good job with this first entry!

Legion Academy (LD41) by LegionGames 2018-04-23T19:03:39Z

Interesting concept and a solid game overall. I would have liked some hotkeys to speed up the gameplay but other than that it was quite fun! Good job!

Guardian of the Depth by Animaster 2018-04-27T10:29:49Z

A bit difficult to understand at first but great atmosphere and graphics. A solid game overall in my opinion

LD59 — Signal

Echo by japes 2026-04-20T16:33:35Z

A really enjoyable game with solid mechanics. I still don't know how to identify the kill zones. I gave up after a couple of the empty timed levels since it felt like the game was over. But reading the comments it seems like I missed something. A neat touch to have a secret ending. Great job!

Zigna Down by tukisboolukis 2026-05-09T10:34:28Z

Really good and polished game. The atmosphere is great and the graphics as well. It feels like there are alot of systems here that are not very clear to me. I had to read the instructions, and re-read them while playing. And still got my ass kicked. By adding some more feedback or instructions in game I think this would have been a home-run! Great work

Phantom Hunt by Jesús González 2026-04-22T16:36:51Z

The game has really good atmosphere and after reading the comments here I kind of understand what I actually was supposed to do. It didn't ever occurred to me that the lines were detecting enemies. I was just shooting in random directions. Its mostly on me for not reading the instructions. Great entry!

Speed Signal by pkenney 2026-05-09T11:05:01Z

Simple but great game. I feel like the difficulty was just right for me, even if the last level did feel a bit "getting over it". But since it was the last one that was just a good thing. The game feel was perfect, the sound of the jumps were great. Good job!

Expanding Horizons by TermiGht 2026-04-21T17:57:12Z

Really good game, I dont know if it was a bug but was not able to build more factories after a while which lead to slow progression so wasn't able to complete it. But satisfying to see the network grow and feeling accomplishment even if I was just clicking. Great work!

Monolith by William Corrin 2026-04-20T16:23:27Z

A very solid entry with so much polish. I like the fact that you get combat music and audio and graphics are all really good. Small touches everywhere like a settings menu (very useful for a FPS) and fade out effects for the camera. Would have loved the signal theme to be abit stronger; but regardless great job!

Space Operator by MtWhateverest 2026-04-21T13:53:51Z

I feel like the game nailed the atmosphere but the UI didnt scale properly on my computer so not everything fit. Like previous commenter having some kind of feedback would have gone a long way. The space chart and the parallax effect was nice.

Static Echoes by oramun 2026-05-09T10:58:37Z

Really impressive graphics and mood. Felt like after the apocalypse. The level design was good and varied with different areas. The music and the static effect really helped sell the atmosphere. Great work!

Signal Tower by Jhonny111 2026-05-09T12:16:11Z

Nice work with this game. Having a tower defense in first person while watching the onslaught was interesting. I liked that there were so many different 3D models for shots, enemies and turrets and upgrades. I did miss some information about the upgrades and also the reason to having so many different resources when the player couldnt interact with them in any meaningful way. Never the less, great work!

Pulse Rescue by Soul Grinder 2026-04-22T21:40:53Z

There was really alot in this game. The atmosphere was great with all the different music clips. I was sure I was in for a horror twist when exploring the space ship. Really well done, especially with the mood and theme.

A glimmer in the sea by Norah 2026-05-05T14:49:41Z

Really good mood in this entry. The graphics, both inside the lighthouse and on the screen, together with the sound was excellent. The controls are difficult but that's the gameplay. Solid connection to the theme as well, good job!

Under Signals by 13pilgrims 2026-05-09T11:33:03Z

Great theme and mood in this game but I had no idea what I was doing. And the fact that the games says "you think you are doing the right thing" doesn't help either. Maybe it is increased by not having English as a first language but having the options "nominal - damage - medical" and cryptic redacted instructions and also cryptic (if any) feedback of what I was doing made it quite a weird experience. The only mimic I caught was the one that literally spelled it out "R+G is faking". Anyways, a great game even if I do feel bummed getting 1/5 while actively trying to play the game.

Full Steam Ahead by Abbro 2026-05-09T12:57:29Z

Nice graphics and I enjoyed the swaying of the stops. But like many have said it was very difficult. Not only having the time to process whats happening but also remember were all the trains want to go. And then make it happen before the next set of trains. Anyhow, good graphics, sound and feel!
