Wow! This was so cool! I really liked not only the base mechanic of switching modes but the way you had to puzzle through having a line of sight with your enemy. The third level threw me off in a good way, nice work!

Really cool and unique idea! Really wish you had more time to do more lvls.

gno-evenimente 2018-04-23 22:34

Very cool idea. I finished all 3 levels. This would be great in multi player

orecros 2018-04-23 22:36

the damage zone increasing over time is a really nice solution to the "if i can see him he can see me" problem with making a game like this. the mirror-the-player AI is incredibly annoying on a short time limit, and even something basic would be better than nothing (with everything else you have going on maybe this would be out of scope for 48 hours who knows). once its on your screen, you do just have to spam left click on it as it won't move while you don't move. again, this would be remedied with some pacman-level movement. maybe? swapping from top down to first person is a lot more intuitive than i thought it would be. nice job overall

"You won !" x) Cool game, really interesting concept ! The colors just make me blink a little, but that is nothing ^^

Congrats ! Keep coding :)

deltanutmeg 2018-04-23 23:04

It's an interesting concept and could be refined into something fun. Your gameplay design is decently good, but the colours destroy my eyes. I suggest not combining jarring and high contrasting colours together.

justmars 2018-04-23 23:25

@Mathiouza @DeltaNutmeg Yeah, I am considering completely removing the sidebars (the colors hurt my eyes too, I just picked the brightest red and blue in a rush to finish the game). Thanks for honest feedback :)

A really cool concept and solid implementation as well. I liked that you could choose the levels, made it easy to know how much content it was left. I enjoyed this game quite alot

taviandir 2018-04-24 18:16

I really like the concept! With some more refined AI, maybe some puzzle elements, this could really turn into something truly awesome. Good entry, congratulations!

I like the concept and a fun little puzzle game. Would be interesting to see this expanded with more features.

Here you go!

Mechanically this game is surprisingly great. The way you combined the FPS and a puzzle game genres is pretty ingenious. Adding time pressure was a good call that tied it all together. UI is good, sound effects are good, "programmer art" less so but TPS was definitely a positive experience for me.

amour-du-pain 2018-04-27 21:56

Cool game ! Funny how it turns out to be a mix between an fps and a puzzle game.

pogo 2018-04-28 20:03

I really like your theme mashup, but the execution leaves a little lacking. I wasn't a big fan of the mirrored movement, but it did the job of forcing you to act quickly, and solve the level.

andrey-voznuyk 2018-04-28 22:18

Cool idea and cool genres mixing:smile:

dib 2018-04-28 22:23

I enjoyed the game! Shame it's so short, I'd love to play more of this. :)

almax 2018-04-28 22:35

Cool take on the theme and novel implementation.

The game itself was pretty bare bones and easy to beat, if the enemy shot back at you or in straight lines it would add a bit more unpredictability and timing to the game. As it stands it's just a case of mirrored moving exploits - move when they are against a wall.

I did find it funny that I could see the other levels when in first person view though - maybe not intentional but I thought it was a nice touch.

Overall a great entry, I had fun :) nice work!
