LD46 — Keep it alive

LAST HUMAN by GuitarBro 2020-04-21T02:54:18Z

I played it on web. Great graphics, music and sound. But the game is very difficult. We actually encountered some isues with our web build too, hope Unity addresses that soon!

Joe Biden Campaign Simulator by Kevin Sun 2020-04-24T10:37:49Z

very original, but took me a while to understand what's going on. Love the song too. iked

Don't Kill Gil by webthingee 2020-04-21T02:38:45Z

Very easy game. Great presentation across the board. There is soem bizzare behaviour sometimes when drawing cards.

Lamps by qkjosh 2020-04-21T03:18:11Z

This game looks like a AAA game. You must be a pro. Very cool and interesting idea, but I was a little loston how to progress.

Black Death 1347 by KeepCoding 2020-04-22T06:18:49Z

game crashed for me when trying to get to the king going South. It's pretty fun. Love the unsettling atmosphere and the pixel art. Hope you take this further and make a full game out of it.

DOC+ORS by bixarrio 2020-04-21T02:24:02Z

Lve this game. One of the best artsyles I've seen in LD46 so far. Moody and challenging. Kind of similar vibe to our game, medical related. Please check it out if you get chance.

Earth 2.0 by AryanJumani 2020-04-22T05:48:54Z

great job! the story text crawl is funny and the game is enjoyable. definitely some rough edges, like the animation and the music seems a bit like random midi notes. But it has a lot of charm and overall very fun!

Logan by Matt Greenbury 2020-04-22T06:01:14Z

Really enjoyed the game. Loved the weird coronavirus in the background. One thing I did not enjoy was the character's attack. It's probably up there with Dr. Jeckyll and Mr Hyde for NES as far as game character attacks go...

Awesome graphics and sound and great mood. Congrats!

Outbreak Control by HammerCar 2020-04-21T02:14:00Z

Great job! I enjoyed the watching the little people get infecetd. It's difficult. Some audio and music would help. Our game is also pandemic related, I'd appreciate if you checked it out.

RatJar by PolyOrbit Studio 2020-04-21T01:14:04Z

Awesome game Love it, The controls are great, and the music fits the game perfectly. Love the pitch shift effect on rewind. Camera seems dynami and behaves fantastic.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Jet Racing 4 by Reactor-Scram 2021-05-01T09:01:04Z

Fun little game. Reminded me a bit of some really old obscure racing game I used to play on my Windows 95 Pentium1 computer in the 90s.Wish there were some basic AI racers to compete against...

w o r m by neverautomatic 2021-04-27T08:08:07Z

This was very fun. The controls were great, and eating rocks was strangely satisfying. The weird "You Win" popup window made me sad, I wanted to grow bigger!

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-05-05T04:31:49Z

Really great game. Fantastic artstyle and brilliant gameplay idea. Sometimes the sword can get stuck and movement can be clunky, but I think it's part of the fun.

tetronimo! by gregfagan 2021-05-01T08:51:05Z

Really great idea! Fun new twist on using the tetris pieces. Takes a little getting used to the controls, but very solid entry!

Oiligarch by dxk2294 2021-05-01T09:25:17Z

Great original take on the theme. Fun little tycoon-like game. I would play a full version of this. I was pretty lost at the beginning, definitely needs a tutorial that explains the first steps to get everything started. But it was fun!

Unstable by Sharks 2021-05-01T08:42:51Z

It is a fun little game. One thing I would change is the checkpointing system. Especially as a game jam game, I think it would be better to restart on whatever the current screen is when you fail. Good job!

Rip Deeper by Hozoku 2021-05-01T09:15:34Z

Very well polished game. Simple, but the presentation is top notch.

The Devil Lurks in Coin by Raphiell 2021-04-27T07:51:55Z

I really liked this game. I love a good detective noire story, and this is definitely one! The evidence matching mechanic gets really messy towards the end when there's a lot of stuff going on, but managed to finish it. I am now on my way to Tahiti, never looking back.

Submarine Frenzy by room606 2021-05-05T04:20:33Z

Great job, really enjoyed your game. Nice clean graphics and great sound. Reminds me of an Atari2600 game I discovered recently named Polaris. Also, bonus points for being the first game that I saw in LD that uses Defold. I've been meaning to look into that engine too. My only complain here was that there are some odd collision detections happening, not sure why. Maybe it's not the hitboxes, but how the submarine bounces when it collides with something.

Ringularity - Black Hole Orbital Combat Simulation by philliptrudeau 2021-05-05T05:16:57Z

Really cool, unique take on the theme, and a very challenging and addicting game. The orbiting mechanic is difficult to figure out at first, because the background is pitch black. But once you zoom out and see what's going on, it makes sense, and the gameplay becomes fun. Never quite got the hang of the movement, I feel the gravitational pull fights with the player inputs too much, and it's hard to tell how responsive the movement is. But really impressive entry, I can see this becoming a bigger game, with multiple unique solar systems and enemies. (is it still technically a "solar system" if the star is now a black hole?)

Deep Dive by CodeForJoyCaro 2021-05-01T08:46:54Z

This was funny and a pleasant experience overall with the hand drawn graphics and sound. Very nice!

Decay by KeithSwanger 2021-05-05T04:13:12Z

I enjoyed this. Quite depressing but very moody and a bit true to real life. Great music and overall mood.

Spacepunk 48 by mlkvr 2021-05-05T21:00:26Z

Very cool game, reminds me of FTL. Nice ship model and atmosphere. It was a bit confusing as to what the best thing to do is at each time, but figured it out eventually. Some good humor too!

Untitled Simulator by Eugenik 2021-04-27T21:07:40Z

This a very interesting concept. As a game, you don't really do much, except read, but I thought the writing was quite good. Learned a bit about Hitler too. Great job!

The Unfathomable by ondy1985 2021-05-01T09:32:18Z

Great little game. Leaderboard integration is really awesome, especially for a LD game. We had a similar concept in our game too

Archeomoleist by aniur 2021-05-01T09:11:13Z

Very neat game, really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of it. The presentation is great too, fun audio and visuals. Congeatulations!

Into The Depth by Szymon OGD 2021-04-27T08:13:04Z

This was good. Gameplay is very simple, but works well. Really does give you the feeling of descending deeper.

In Too Deep by diharaw94 2021-04-27T08:38:05Z

Cool game, but sadly I couldn't figure out how to hide the evidence and not get caught...Love the graphics and overall mood. If you'd like to play ours, here it is: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/submarine-adventure

Get to the ground! by Bman911411 2021-05-01T09:05:22Z

Sadly, there is no game there...

HELL deep is your love? by Villanelle 2021-05-01T09:41:23Z

Great graphics and audio. Music is well done. I'm not a huge fan of autoscrolling levels in platformers in general, but it works well for this game. It's quite challenging, which is nice too.

Go No Farther by Lifeforce 2021-04-27T07:58:04Z

Cool game! Those guys with the harpoons are ruthless. Loved the NES graphics.

LD49 — Unstable

Unstaball by khofez 2021-10-10T22:31:44Z

Good gameplay. Controls feel tight, and like the pinball feel on the jumps.

Violently Unstable Rabbits by saucygames 2021-10-12T06:09:49Z

Very fun game. The unstable rabbits seem a bit OP for only 2 points, but the game is very fun, and has a good, polished presentation. Very easy to understand UI and intuitive to play.

StackItToSpace by Sarah 2021-10-08T08:08:26Z

Enjoyed the game. Some nice 2D art and the physics work well. The music was a bit annoying, but it actually went very well with the theme, as stacking a banana over an alarm clock to reach that last bit of height is annoying in itself.

The Curse of the Un-stable by dikkop 2021-10-10T22:27:25Z

Good job. Has a nice presentation and flow, but it does feel a bit random and luck based. Music can be abrasive sometimes, but overall I had a good time playing this.

Sky High Islands by jan5366x 2021-10-10T22:39:15Z

Good job. Something about the turn based WASD controls and isometric camera didn't work for me at first, but eventually got used to it. Fun little game overall with a nice aesthetic.

The Salatroitsk Incident by DrunkardWolf 2021-10-10T22:01:19Z

This is an awesome game, really enjoyed it. Reminds me of STALKER with PS1 graphics. Found all 6 rocks but the monster eventually got me. Sometimes it felt like bullets were going right through it.

Also, good name haha. We both had similar ideas with that

Fellowship Manager by Honest Dan 2021-10-12T06:37:29Z

This is a very original concept, and what you achieved in the time of a game jam is remarkable. I love the Football Manager attributes and "battle" commentary. Amazing idea tbh. But the game is very buggy and has a weird UI flickering effect going on on my laptop. Also, even though the visual and audio presentation is great, I feel that the actual gameplay is rather limited at the moment. This is a very solid start, and can't wait to see how this game evolves. I think the FM/Civ formula is a winner.

Harvesting Motherboards by MaxKyckling 2021-10-12T06:53:41Z

Cool game. Really good enemy models and level design. Somehow, this game reminds me of an old PC game I played, Hunter Hunted. Although looking at footage of that now, it's quite different. I think the mood is in that vein though.

I think the gun sounds are a bit weak, and they are the same it seems for several different weapons I tried.

It's very difficult with the 1 hit death, but seems like if you master the timing for each enemy and weapon, it's fait. Would definitely play a complete version of this game.

Mint by Préda 2021-10-07T11:43:12Z

Awesome game, getting old school Sierra adventure game vibes from this. I think your ship level design is great as well. Pixel art, lighting and animation are great, and sound does a great job to establish a great atmosphere.

Mint by Préda 2021-10-07T11:43:20Z

Server Preserver by kypello 2021-10-10T21:44:13Z

Very cool concept, and nice take on the theme. Got a bit crazy for me when 3 servers were needing items at the same time, but it was very fun to play. Good job!

Game Invaders by Adrieldf 2021-10-10T21:51:47Z

I enjoyed this game! at the beginning it felt painfully slow, maybe have a faster shooting rate, as there is not much challenge in the enemies. I really liked the presentation and menus, including the game over blue screen. Great entry!

Labarnas — A narrative board game in ancient times by SimonL 2021-10-12T06:04:48Z

This is awesome. I've never played a board game that involved a deck of cards before. Really enjoyed it.

Toy Tactics by JoeShanahan 2021-10-17T06:40:01Z

Very cool game. I was just playing some Mario vs Rabbids on the Switch, and your game reminds me a bit of that. I thought the game controls and looks well, but the jetpack is a little crazy. Also, some objects seem to incorrectly block gun projectiles for me. Really enjoyed it, and would definitely play a full version.

MANIC MELTDOWN! by David Bohan 2021-10-06T06:49:23Z

The pixel art and audio in general is fantastic. The level design makes a lot of sense, and it really feels like a rush running from one room to another to prevent disaster. The controls are good overall, but going on and off stairs seems a bit floaty sometimes. Really great job!

The Niland Incident by bflatinteractive 2021-10-09T23:02:52Z

@kypello Thanks for the feedback. I actually had healing items and equipped weapon consumable items planned, but ran out of time…

A Year of Rest by Binary Systems 2021-10-12T06:01:26Z

The atmosphere in this game is quite good, it would only be even more amazing with some great sound design and music. I didn't quite understand the health bar thing and the lose condition, but walking around in the city was a good experience. Amazing that you achieved that with the most basic of 3D models, I think the animation and lighting was fantastic. Really good entry, and I'll check out Otessa's book.

MEATFEST by DeadSunset 2021-10-12T06:23:59Z

Very ambitious for a first jam. I really enjoyed it, and I hink the presentation is great. Needs some sound and music, of course. I had fun cooking nasty food, it was hilarious seeing the chef deliver the rotten dish to the customers with a smile on his face. There is good potential here.

BouncyCake by NPr0nn 2021-10-12T06:16:16Z

There is something about WASD controls and isometric perspective that doesn't work that well for me. That being said, after an initial period of getting used to it, I really enjoyed this game. I thought the visual presentation was amazing, too bad it was missing sound effects. I really like how all levels are unlocked so you can try out the latter levels right away. It's difficult, but very fun.

THE ADVENTURE OF PV013 by Xaxe 2021-10-06T22:47:05Z

Pretty cool game. Had to go in windowed mode to see where the mouse is. UE really is tough for this type of game. It doesn't have great 2D tools anymore now that Paper is discontinued. So great job!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Forging Through Fire by ryusui 2022-10-08T05:16:50Z

This is a great take on the theme. Really had fun figuring out the puzzles in each room. The presentation is great, needs some retro music.

10 sec to witch pain by asfdfdfd 2022-10-08T07:29:13Z

Got a little lost, I think in general you need more instructions for the player and feedback as to what's going on. The voice is awesome, with some moddy music this could have an awesome atmosphere. Great job!

THE OPERATOR by simex 2022-10-08T07:11:32Z

awesome idea and execution. I could play a full game like this where you explore different planets and discover alien remnants . Very well done

Dodge48 by thesnide 2022-10-08T05:13:07Z

Cool litte Pico game. A bit tricky to get into at first, but it's a nice take on the idea and the theme.

[WebGL/HTML5] Music Demon by leorid 2022-10-08T05:08:24Z

Very cool concept. Really enjoyed the puzzles, and the eating animation is hilarious. Jumping and double jumping feels a bit loose to me, maybe it's a momentum thing that can use refinement, but overall an awesome idea!

Suicidal Minions by CodeForJoyCaro 2022-10-08T07:17:32Z

Very nice take on Lemmings. It was pretty challenging starting with the jumping level. The take on the theme is very interesting with the comforting. The presentation is great too, gameplay is smooth and responsive.

House Of Quandary by bflatinteractive 2022-10-04T19:23:01Z

@brandsma Nice catch, thank you!! Indeed, I improvised the piano piece in A minor specifically, so that hopefully the random white key notes generated in the piano puzzle would all blend in well and seem like they’re part of the track

Sushi Bushi by Frozentape 2022-10-08T07:38:21Z

Hilarious game, love it! It is fun and intense, and the audio and visual presentation is fantastic. Makes me want to get some sushi tonight.

One critique is the way the win/lose screen just fades into view as you're playing is a bit unintuitive, but you guys did a fantastic job.

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-08T07:23:07Z

I really like the characters. Has a cool 90s cartoon vibe. Gameplay is simple, but the level is fun to explore. Everything on screen wants to murder you, so it's a bullet hell game, but with the twist of different projectiles affecting the two characters differently. Quite enjoyed it, I would love to see this develop into a larger game.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Idle Jump by Too 2018-04-23T22:48:27Z

i like the graphics and the old school feel, but i think the game is broken. Either that or the objective is really unclear.

Rock Bottom by Jungle 2018-04-23T22:54:28Z

Oh, man.. this was a deep, emotional game. Really powerful message

Tower of Cards by SaraJS 2018-04-23T23:35:45Z

This is actually a really good concept that stands out in the ocean of " x meets card game" entries in this jam. definitely just a prototype but I hope you expand on it. Makes me want to reconsider ditching GMS2 for godot..

Dungeon of High School romance by Toulou 2018-04-23T23:27:10Z

This is one of my favorites so far. Got to the end with 36% love and got a kiss. it was just plain good fun and reminded me of my days playing ADOM

BASEBALL in HELL by ragtagradical 2018-04-23T23:42:58Z

BASEBALL in HELL by ragtagradical 2018-04-24T06:15:19Z

@ragtagradical Oh, that makes perfect sense because I just reinstalled Windows. i'll download it and try again. Thanks!

BASEBALL in HELL by ragtagradical 2018-04-24T06:39:19Z

The atmosphere in this game is amazing! It's visceral and terrifying. I can't believe that you pulled this off in GameMaker 1! I wouldn't even know where to start...

TPS: Top Person Shooter by JustMars 2018-04-23T22:34:47Z

Very cool idea. I finished all 3 levels. This would be great in multi player

Scarry by Memel06 2018-04-23T08:41:39Z

Great art and sound! Quite an original idea, and created a tense horror mood.

Tenebrous by Handle 2018-04-23T23:01:56Z

Really great art style! this looks like it could be an amazing game. There's currently a delay in the controls that make it a bit sluggish, at least on my laptop.

A Knight's Bounty by DarkAnice 2018-04-23T23:05:47Z

This has great potential! Really liked the different classes, but you should have a variety of enemies.

Falling Labyrinth by LarrySeinfeld 2018-04-24T05:30:54Z

This is a fantastic idea! Great game

Bubbles 'n Blood by Gno Evenimente 2018-04-23T08:33:40Z

@Memel06 Thanks for playing! Yeah, I decided on mouse only (instead of WASD + mouse) just because I plan to try a touch-based version of this next.

Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough by Lost Dutchman Software 2018-04-23T22:39:47Z

original idea, and good graphics. Ball physics are kin of weird.., maybe first level should be an easier hole.

Reverse by MrJake7X 2018-04-24T00:05:36Z

Beautiful looking game. This could grow to be something big!

1on1 World Cup 2018 by Jaychitects 2018-04-23T22:41:54Z

very cool idea! really funny too. add more classic players like ronaldinho
