I played it on web. Great graphics, music and sound. But the game is very difficult. We actually encountered some isues with our web build too, hope Unity addresses that soon!

very original, but took me a while to understand what's going on. Love the song too. iked
Very easy game. Great presentation across the board. There is soem bizzare behaviour sometimes when drawing cards.
game crashed for me when trying to get to the king going South. It's pretty fun. Love the unsettling atmosphere and the pixel art. Hope you take this further and make a full game out of it.
great job! the story text crawl is funny and the game is enjoyable. definitely some rough edges, like the animation and the music seems a bit like random midi notes. But it has a lot of charm and overall very fun!
Really enjoyed the game. Loved the weird coronavirus in the background. One thing I did not enjoy was the character's attack. It's probably up there with Dr. Jeckyll and Mr Hyde for NES as far as game character attacks go...
Awesome graphics and sound and great mood. Congrats!
Great job! I enjoyed the watching the little people get infecetd. It's difficult. Some audio and music would help. Our game is also pandemic related, I'd appreciate if you checked it out.
Awesome game Love it, The controls are great, and the music fits the game perfectly. Love the pitch shift effect on rewind. Camera seems dynami and behaves fantastic.
Fun little game. Reminded me a bit of some really old obscure racing game I used to play on my Windows 95 Pentium1 computer in the 90s.Wish there were some basic AI racers to compete against...
This was very fun. The controls were great, and eating rocks was strangely satisfying. The weird "You Win" popup window made me sad, I wanted to grow bigger!
Really great game. Fantastic artstyle and brilliant gameplay idea. Sometimes the sword can get stuck and movement can be clunky, but I think it's part of the fun.
Really great idea! Fun new twist on using the tetris pieces. Takes a little getting used to the controls, but very solid entry!
Very well polished game. Simple, but the presentation is top notch.
I really liked this game. I love a good detective noire story, and this is definitely one! The evidence matching mechanic gets really messy towards the end when there's a lot of stuff going on, but managed to finish it. I am now on my way to Tahiti, never looking back.
Great job, really enjoyed your game. Nice clean graphics and great sound. Reminds me of an Atari2600 game I discovered recently named Polaris. Also, bonus points for being the first game that I saw in LD that uses Defold. I've been meaning to look into that engine too. My only complain here was that there are some odd collision detections happening, not sure why. Maybe it's not the hitboxes, but how the submarine bounces when it collides with something.
Really cool, unique take on the theme, and a very challenging and addicting game. The orbiting mechanic is difficult to figure out at first, because the background is pitch black. But once you zoom out and see what's going on, it makes sense, and the gameplay becomes fun. Never quite got the hang of the movement, I feel the gravitational pull fights with the player inputs too much, and it's hard to tell how responsive the movement is. But really impressive entry, I can see this becoming a bigger game, with multiple unique solar systems and enemies. (is it still technically a "solar system" if the star is now a black hole?)
This was funny and a pleasant experience overall with the hand drawn graphics and sound. Very nice!
I enjoyed this. Quite depressing but very moody and a bit true to real life. Great music and overall mood.
Very cool game, reminds me of FTL. Nice ship model and atmosphere. It was a bit confusing as to what the best thing to do is at each time, but figured it out eventually. Some good humor too!
This a very interesting concept. As a game, you don't really do much, except read, but I thought the writing was quite good. Learned a bit about Hitler too. Great job!
Great little game. Leaderboard integration is really awesome, especially for a LD game. We had a similar concept in our game too
Very neat game, really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of it. The presentation is great too, fun audio and visuals. Congeatulations!
This was good. Gameplay is very simple, but works well. Really does give you the feeling of descending deeper.
Cool game, but sadly I couldn't figure out how to hide the evidence and not get caught...Love the graphics and overall mood. If you'd like to play ours, here it is: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/submarine-adventure
Sadly, there is no game there...
Great graphics and audio. Music is well done. I'm not a huge fan of autoscrolling levels in platformers in general, but it works well for this game. It's quite challenging, which is nice too.
Cool game! Those guys with the harpoons are ruthless. Loved the NES graphics.
Very fun game. The unstable rabbits seem a bit OP for only 2 points, but the game is very fun, and has a good, polished presentation. Very easy to understand UI and intuitive to play.
Enjoyed the game. Some nice 2D art and the physics work well. The music was a bit annoying, but it actually went very well with the theme, as stacking a banana over an alarm clock to reach that last bit of height is annoying in itself.
Good job. Has a nice presentation and flow, but it does feel a bit random and luck based. Music can be abrasive sometimes, but overall I had a good time playing this.
Good job. Something about the turn based WASD controls and isometric camera didn't work for me at first, but eventually got used to it. Fun little game overall with a nice aesthetic.
This is an awesome game, really enjoyed it. Reminds me of STALKER with PS1 graphics. Found all 6 rocks but the monster eventually got me. Sometimes it felt like bullets were going right through it.
Also, good name haha. We both had similar ideas with that
This is a very original concept, and what you achieved in the time of a game jam is remarkable. I love the Football Manager attributes and "battle" commentary. Amazing idea tbh. But the game is very buggy and has a weird UI flickering effect going on on my laptop. Also, even though the visual and audio presentation is great, I feel that the actual gameplay is rather limited at the moment. This is a very solid start, and can't wait to see how this game evolves. I think the FM/Civ formula is a winner.
Cool game. Really good enemy models and level design. Somehow, this game reminds me of an old PC game I played, Hunter Hunted. Although looking at footage of that now, it's quite different. I think the mood is in that vein though.
I think the gun sounds are a bit weak, and they are the same it seems for several different weapons I tried.
It's very difficult with the 1 hit death, but seems like if you master the timing for each enemy and weapon, it's fait. Would definitely play a complete version of this game.
Very cool concept, and nice take on the theme. Got a bit crazy for me when 3 servers were needing items at the same time, but it was very fun to play. Good job!
I enjoyed this game! at the beginning it felt painfully slow, maybe have a faster shooting rate, as there is not much challenge in the enemies. I really liked the presentation and menus, including the game over blue screen. Great entry!
This is awesome. I've never played a board game that involved a deck of cards before. Really enjoyed it.
Very cool game. I was just playing some Mario vs Rabbids on the Switch, and your game reminds me a bit of that. I thought the game controls and looks well, but the jetpack is a little crazy. Also, some objects seem to incorrectly block gun projectiles for me. Really enjoyed it, and would definitely play a full version.
The pixel art and audio in general is fantastic. The level design makes a lot of sense, and it really feels like a rush running from one room to another to prevent disaster. The controls are good overall, but going on and off stairs seems a bit floaty sometimes. Really great job!
@kypello Thanks for the feedback. I actually had healing items and equipped weapon consumable items planned, but ran out of time…
The atmosphere in this game is quite good, it would only be even more amazing with some great sound design and music. I didn't quite understand the health bar thing and the lose condition, but walking around in the city was a good experience. Amazing that you achieved that with the most basic of 3D models, I think the animation and lighting was fantastic. Really good entry, and I'll check out Otessa's book.
Very ambitious for a first jam. I really enjoyed it, and I hink the presentation is great. Needs some sound and music, of course. I had fun cooking nasty food, it was hilarious seeing the chef deliver the rotten dish to the customers with a smile on his face. There is good potential here.
There is something about WASD controls and isometric perspective that doesn't work that well for me. That being said, after an initial period of getting used to it, I really enjoyed this game. I thought the visual presentation was amazing, too bad it was missing sound effects. I really like how all levels are unlocked so you can try out the latter levels right away. It's difficult, but very fun.
Pretty cool game. Had to go in windowed mode to see where the mouse is. UE really is tough for this type of game. It doesn't have great 2D tools anymore now that Paper is discontinued. So great job!
This is a great take on the theme. Really had fun figuring out the puzzles in each room. The presentation is great, needs some retro music.
Got a little lost, I think in general you need more instructions for the player and feedback as to what's going on. The voice is awesome, with some moddy music this could have an awesome atmosphere. Great job!
awesome idea and execution. I could play a full game like this where you explore different planets and discover alien remnants . Very well done
Very cool concept. Really enjoyed the puzzles, and the eating animation is hilarious. Jumping and double jumping feels a bit loose to me, maybe it's a momentum thing that can use refinement, but overall an awesome idea!
Very nice take on Lemmings. It was pretty challenging starting with the jumping level. The take on the theme is very interesting with the comforting. The presentation is great too, gameplay is smooth and responsive.
@brandsma Nice catch, thank you!! Indeed, I improvised the piano piece in A minor specifically, so that hopefully the random white key notes generated in the piano puzzle would all blend in well and seem like they’re part of the track
Hilarious game, love it! It is fun and intense, and the audio and visual presentation is fantastic. Makes me want to get some sushi tonight.
One critique is the way the win/lose screen just fades into view as you're playing is a bit unintuitive, but you guys did a fantastic job.
I really like the characters. Has a cool 90s cartoon vibe. Gameplay is simple, but the level is fun to explore. Everything on screen wants to murder you, so it's a bullet hell game, but with the twist of different projectiles affecting the two characters differently. Quite enjoyed it, I would love to see this develop into a larger game.
Oh, man.. this was a deep, emotional game. Really powerful message
This is actually a really good concept that stands out in the ocean of " x meets card game" entries in this jam. definitely just a prototype but I hope you expand on it. Makes me want to reconsider ditching GMS2 for godot..
This is one of my favorites so far. Got to the end with 36% love and got a kiss. it was just plain good fun and reminded me of my days playing ADOM
Game doesn't work. Gives an error when starting...
@ragtagradical Untitled.png
@ragtagradical Oh, that makes perfect sense because I just reinstalled Windows. i'll download it and try again. Thanks!
The atmosphere in this game is amazing! It's visceral and terrifying. I can't believe that you pulled this off in GameMaker 1! I wouldn't even know where to start...
Very cool idea. I finished all 3 levels. This would be great in multi player
This has great potential! Really liked the different classes, but you should have a variety of enemies.
This is a fantastic idea! Great game
@Memel06 Thanks for playing! Yeah, I decided on mouse only (instead of WASD + mouse) just because I plan to try a touch-based version of this next.
@dimaswift Thanks for playing!!
@Jaychitects Thank you!!
@JustMars Thanks for playing!
original idea, and good graphics. Ball physics are kin of weird.., maybe first level should be an easier hole.
very cool idea! really funny too. add more classic players like ronaldinho
