Javascript error and crash at the end of the opening conversation.
@michael-faragher Oh wow, thanks for letting me know. I have no idea what that error is…just tried uploading the HTML5 multiple times with different settings and no luck…
I get no errors in the editor and Windows build works perfect, so if you’d still like to try the game, I just uploaded the Windows executable.
I get that. My HTML5 build was utterly non-functional. I'll give the Windows version a shot.
Love the turn-based System that you created, good job.
The music reminds me a bit of the 16 bit Shadowrun games. Anyway, it runs pretty well. Good loop. Kept going after I beat it, but I think the 75 turn limit if you run out of time is really too short to get anywhere. Glad you got a working build up.
@michael-faragher Thanks, I used a Genesis synth plugin to make the music, and Shadowrun was an awesome game!
This is a nice little rogue-like game (maybe rogue-lite because of ability carry-over? just in case someone wants to correct me). I had fun with it, kinda wished it was a bit longer. No real criticisms other than that, I think the design and execution were well done!
Nice game! Was kind of hard though, or is that just me? Overall good game. 8/10.
Great game, if a tiny bit unbalanced and luck-based. The gameplay mechanics do a great job of conveying the mood of the game. (On that note, good job with the opening cutscene, it is very cool).
Unfortunately, this is a Ludum Dare game 🤣🤣 Great job with the theme and I enjoyed the Roguelike gameplay. It was interesting to try to avoid enemies without knowing where they would be the next turn.
Awesome job :) The first few runs I felt super weak, then I found a bunch of power ups and felt like a god haha; that was really satisfying. Really enjoyed the overall mood and feel with the graphics and audio. Would have definitely have kept playing if there were more levels. And kudos, fellow nuclear power plant game maker!
I loved how you stripped away the inessentials so a knuckledragger like me could beat it.
I enjoyed it, I'm not very good at it but I enjoyed it
Great game, good feedback on actions and was really fun to try to get the most efficient path to the exit

At first I didn't think I was going to enjoy this game as much as I did. Nice game!
Good job!
I really like this, it's a fun and well made roguelike. I love how there are stat increases scattered around so you get a feeling of character progression. My only real criticism is that when you get locked into an enemy battle, there aren't really any decisions to make, you can only keep attacking, which makes the outcome feel entirely luck-based. I think if you could make choices during battles (such as healing or fleeing, for example) it would make the game feel more skill-based as opposed to just luck. Overall this is a solid entry!
@kypello Thanks for the feedback. I actually had healing items and equipped weapon consumable items planned, but ran out of time…
Nice game. When I died the first time I though how am I going to beat this but then I read the text. Once you just let go and grow stronger there is plenty of time time get to level 17 in time.
This was cool! It was nice getting to stomp all over the monsters once I was really leveled up. I liked the vibe of everything too, the cutscenes were especially well done. Overall pretty fun, but I'd be curious to see how you could add some more strategy to this game.
Quite fun, really cool game, my only criticism would be that you force me to battle instead of giving me the option of running away even with monsters chasing me, could make for cool moments i think if you'd let me run away and have some kind of monster behaviour where they run after me if i ever get to the square adjacent to them. Other than that really solid and fun experience, the artstyle is great, the mood is very well done, the sounds match the old grindy rpg vibe perfectly, no over the top items or explosions, just some good old fashioned "imagine it in your head" combat, i honestly love this, very well done, made me sad that it was so short xD congrats on the entry!
nice one! good mood, and a forgiving loop. hope those weird bat monsters find happiness
The game has a cool intro and a nice, motivating feeling of progression. I felt that it's a bit too easy to finish though once you died a few times and raised the stats. Maybe it would be more interesting to not permanently raise all stats but to let the player keep only certain bonuses when restarting.
At first time I didn't understand what to do and even didn't understand if I can die. But after the first death it became more obvious what those numbers to the left mean :) And I finally figured out what those icons on levels mean. I liked the randomness of levels and liked this chaotic movement of creatures. The game is pretty simple but it shows really cool mechanics that I honestly liked. Also the sound. Sound is also pretty simple but it IS in the game and makes it much more playable that this game could be without the sounds. It was fun to play your game
As soon as I opened the game and heard the music, I already liked it. Gave me real retro vibes, like sega megadrive - something like Ecco the Dolphin. Really contributed to the atmosphere and mood of the game!
My first playthrough I was pretty cautious, and I *almost* made it to the end, but died. I was going to give up but then I was told about becoming stronger, so went through again and won. I think that's a really smart design decision for a jam game, people are only going to have so much time to dedicate to each game, so giving them a hand if they struggle the first time makes it more likely people will complete it.
I also really love games where everything happens when the player moves, it means you can put the player in really difficult situations, but let them work out the best actions in their own time rather than being rushed by approaching enemies.
I enjoyed my time playing this game, great job!
I put my playthrough of this up on YouTube, you can check it out here

Really nice Game. It can be a little difficult to find your character at first sight on a new level, and multiple enemies on the same tiles can be tricky.
