LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Below the Tide by Dustyroom 2021-04-28T18:53:46Z

What a great great game, everything in it is an absolute home run, the way the sound comes out of the projectile bounces, your health being also your vision range, spending health to attack, the level layouts and how light impacts it, honestly I wouldn't change a thing, incredibly well done. with a little upgrade in the looks, adding a cool main character holding the lyre, adding other bosses and such, it would be a game i would buy for sure

Shoot Them Deeper by pndaa 2021-05-04T16:12:50Z

Incredible! Loved this spin on a Bullet Hell, counting the enemies really makes so you can't just fire away, the vaporwave aesthetic was also a really good fit, having to memorise everything even with the lights and colors blasting you... and the music albeit simple worked wonders, it really completed the whole atmosphere of the game, fantastic job by everyone involved!

Photographic Memory by hadesfury 2021-04-28T04:34:26Z

Oh wow, what a sentimental game, i really really liked it, the feeling is just right, loved it, it's a very relaxing puzzle game, it does feel like trial and error sometimes, but that's not really a bad thing, my only criticism would be that it was very hard to spot the focus ring of the camera, but once i knew it was there i thoroughly enjoyed this, incredible work guys!

The Squeaky Affair by bmacintosh 2021-04-27T07:53:20Z

Man, I can't stress enough how much i loved this, everything is perfect in it, the puzzle mechanic is simple but so so good, and it's so well done, the way you go "deeper" into a board and having to reimagine it's whole structure... the puzzles are also very clever, the jokes are on point, the graphics are gorgeous, the mood is just right, honestly the best thing i've played in a while, I have very happily given it a 5 stars in every single category, that's how much i liked it, if it was on steam I would have most likely bought it as is, incredible job by everyone involved

Oculus Leviathan by NotExplosive 2021-05-04T23:56:28Z

An incredible little experience, it was very fun trying to predict the fish trajectory and avoiding the vegetable life, it looks sounds and feels really really polished, a lot of thing i felt were missing from some games this one has in spades, really neat and fun game, i really liked the ending too, very well done everyone involved, it's amazing!

Stolen Time by loginaut 2021-04-28T22:24:22Z

It's a cool idea, it's working rather well, i liked a lot of what it has to offer, it's a bit janky at times but that's not a problem at all, my criticism would probably be that there's no need for a limited time to spend on the alternate time, other than that it's rather solid, lacks a bit of direction specially at the start but i did have a lot of fun! With a game that big and ambitious you should probably hint not only at "what" to do, but also "where", i got super super lost at times xD great job everyone involved!

Neptune's Whispers by JortvD 2021-04-27T23:30:02Z

Very fun, i really like the concept and the way it plays, i think the design itself is very nice, i'd have very little to add honestly, my only criticism would be to make it a tiny bit faster to move around, it feels heavy and clumsy at time, but overall incredible work, very solid and fun! Also, very fun take on the Wellerman for the soundtrack :p

The shaft by smiley 2021-04-28T06:32:27Z

I like the take of making a breakout downwards instead of upwards, but i think this game would benefit from bigger blocks to break and not having the conveyor belt stop everytime, so it wouldn't feel like levels, it would feel like one continuous descent. Still a great execution overall, the game looks and sounds fantastic and i loved playing it, great job!

Sleepie Cookie Eatie by fiaKaiera 2021-04-29T03:16:12Z

Oh wow, what a polished well made game, it looks feels and plays amazingly, loved the design of everything, one of the games i played this jam where i simply don't have anything to add but "incredible", very well done!

🔥 Magma Eater 🔥 by landosilva 2021-05-12T16:14:59Z

Lovely take on a bejeweled type of game, putting the player as a living object in the middle of it that has to be carefull around what he destroys was very clever, and even more so when instead of a limited number of moves you thematically tied the heatness level to it, also allowing for the cool down mechanic, the art is also one of the, if not the best i've seen around here, it has a lot of personality and is also super cute. A fantastic entry, great job you two!

Nyctofobia by Cubanfrog 2021-04-29T02:38:28Z

What an absolute gem, everything in it is just the perfect amount of eerie to make an incredible atmospheric game, and the mechanic is very unique, very special, a very lovely take on an top down puzzle platformer, loved the art, the sound, the gameplay, the idea, if this was longer it's 100% the kind of game i'd buy, incredible work!

A Psychic's Interview by AronIngi 2021-04-27T23:02:01Z

A lot to improve on but honestly? pretty great for a first entry, it has some cool concepts going on, i actually liked your take on the theme, it works really well, the dialogues are really cool, just need a bit more information on how to do stuff like, if there's an interact button or attack button or something the voice should also tell you what to press not just what to do, anyway, i had fun playing it, great job!

NO DIGGING by Kovakomes 2021-04-27T05:17:41Z

Not very finished but it did get a great laugh out of me, not a game I would play for a second time but 100% a game I would make a friend play once to see his reaction as well, and the controls are surprisingly solid, feels great to walk around and jump, perhaps this could be some kind of puzzle plataformer where you need to dig sometimes to progress but this happens when you dig? I'd like that, anyway, great work, it has very cool potential and was very funny!

Coffin Drop by upcharlie 2021-04-28T06:40:36Z

I looks really great, the cutscene at the start is also very nice and over the top, i laughed a lot playing this, it does feel very barebones, it's kinda like a pinball without objectives, it has a lot of potential though, if the bosses had some kind of cool mechanic you had to bounce the coffin around would be even better! Still a very fun experience, very well made!

Mindy's Mind by VPhyre 2021-05-07T05:42:12Z

Corla by JUSTCAMH 2021-04-30T05:47:36Z

Man, what a great game, for real, and also love seeing you talk big game like that, "sorry for missing menus but core gameplay is as strong as ever", and let me tell you, it really is, designwise the most daring and cool game i've seen so far in this jam, It's more of a pacifist rouguelike take on Pawnbarian, and it works wonders, absolutely fantastic, if you were to add those menus and stat trackers and perhaps some kind of boss, this would be already ready to ship, the simplistic art honestly is very charming and adds a lot, the sound is also very pleasant, incredible work!

The Deepest Fish by LeYamez 2021-04-27T23:42:41Z

Very fun relaxing game, the bobber parts take heavy influence from the Undertale battle system so it felt somehow nostalgic, I also liked how the bobber kinda fights back your movements a bit, as if it was really reeling in a fish, the art looks great and the music is very pleasant, overall a very very good game, feels very polished to me, just perhaps add some kind of goal? but then again that's not really needed if the goal of the game is to relax and fish a little i guess, great job guys!

Bubbly by Kaish 2021-04-28T03:42:21Z

Murder on 34th Street by DanyVk 2021-05-03T21:40:46Z

First of all i loved the choice of art style, the all black and white is beautiful and really sets the noir mood, i liked the way interrogating works, and overall i think this has a lot of potential, i'm sure anyone who likes detectives stories/games would love this. Now for some feedback the whole game feels a bit too slow, the walking speed, the text speed, the progression, i think it could in a future iteration benefit from being faster, i tried the click to make text go fast but didn't work, also enter to incriminate was not doing anything, and i find that there was no real need for the dragging and dropping mechanic. Overall a great experience, with these few quality of life improvements i see a good future for this if you choose to go on with it, either way, great job!

Boring in the deep by WilhelmStein 2021-04-28T18:40:27Z

It's very simple, but it's very well executed, the controls feel very sharp and responsive, the game looks and sounds very nice and the little story in the beggining is much appreciated. I'd only add a limit to how long you can slow down for, cause as of now it's very exploitable, anyway, incredible job in making this! Also i loved that little waltz at the beggining a lot c:

Protocol B.E.P by Vitor Milioni 2021-04-27T06:06:48Z

@jacobrutter Ah I see, didn't consider that would be a problem, it's pretty much my first game in any way that matters so i'm still learning, ty for that feedback though, it's important, I'll get it a WebGL version as soon as I figure it out, thanks!

Protocol B.E.P by Vitor Milioni 2021-04-27T07:56:23Z

@paprikcho yeah, i wanted to let people make their own keybindings but i couldn't figure it out in time, but thanks for the feedback man, means a lot to us

Protocol B.E.P by Vitor Milioni 2021-04-29T21:32:06Z

@itzemii it was a combination of setting a separate button for testing purposes and then later getting used to it xD but thanks for the feedback, we want to work this game a bit more in the near future and i'll keep that in mind c:

Protocol B.E.P by Vitor Milioni 2021-05-07T05:05:14Z

@vphyre Po irmao, muito obrigado por ter tirado um tempinho pra jogar e pelo comentário tambem, tudo de bom pra vc guerreiro!

Drill Away by Milan8890 2021-04-27T05:49:19Z

It has something going for it, the mechanics themselves are quite nice, the idea of having to reset, not being able to jump, mining and grinding your upgrades to be better everytime, it's fun, i really liked it, the presentation is not the best but it's not bad by any means, the sprites are well done and go together cohesively, the lack of sound and animations drag it a bit down but are not a deal breaker at all, but i did dig in front of the store the first time and ended up not being able to sell my stuff at all, that is something that should have a work around, nevertheless, a great job! i really had fun in my time playing this game

Drill City by honzapat 2021-04-27T07:38:08Z

What a neat little experience, it at times felt more like a puzzle game than a management game, but that's a plus for me, it's got a lot going for it despite how simple it is, i had a lot of fun trying to make the best use of my space to get a material return, it felt like a very calm and fun take on what games like Banished provide the player, the voxel art style and the easygoing soundtrack + the voice clips and little jokes all fit like a glove, amazing job everyone involved!

Keep moving and nobody falls by vetu11 2021-04-28T06:23:48Z

Very fun take on minesweeper, i loved the hexagon tiles, the spleef element, the way scoring works, very very well made, i was just not very fond of the bombs disguising themselves as numbers, i think if you only revealed the tiles you stepped on and not the adjacent ones, but no numbers could be bombs, i think that would make me enjoy this a tiny bit more, nevertheless, it was a very well made, it's beautiful and works very well, great job!

Stone Monster Mountain by Steffy 2021-04-28T17:54:43Z

You hard coded this in c++ and made the game with your kids? Now that's parent of the year right there! Looks very nice and the sound is awesome! you guys did a great job, congrats!

Nautilus by Tomas Poblete 2021-04-28T07:13:01Z

It's a beautiful game, loved the direction you took the art, works wonders, the game itself is also quite fun, i like the idea of grinding upgrades and all, but even with maximum steering it still feels a bit sluggish, also i think it would be cooler if there were things to do along the way because it kinda feels like i'm just diving for 1 power up and then the next and so on. It's a gorgeous game and i had a lot of fun, good job!

Deep Magic by Michael Peoples 2021-04-28T06:52:49Z

It's very fun and most importantly it's very ambitious, it seems very complex yet plays very simply, I quite liked the way the battle itself works, and the deckbuilding part is also very nice, the music sounds very out of place though, and the overworld is clunky, i also think it would benefit from an option to make the text appear as a whole but that's just me personally since i'm a fast reader, overall a very well made ambitious game, i liked it a lot!

The Mystery of Stalore-9 by Arthur Mairs 2021-04-27T05:58:51Z

It's a cool concept, I liked the exploration, loved the voice guiding you, the atmosphere feels cool, and using the little underwater "dungeons" as a battery recharging outpost is very neat. The sensitivity is waaaaaaaay too high though, and the monsters themselves don't behave in particularly interesting ways, but overall it was a cool little experience, if it was polished in some ways i really think this could be something incredible, very great job!

Lies & Descent by LazyAlarm 2021-05-07T07:28:37Z

I think in this jam state it's a bit rough around the edges, but honestly? A fantastic idea for a plataformer, very well executed as well, other than what other people already mentioned i would like to add that some platforms and walls and what not really could benefit from a different texture, it all being the same or similar to the walls of the cave gave me heavy vertigo during some stretches. Nevertheless i think you really have something great here, i had a lot of fun, keep it up, you did a great job!

OVERDRILLED by everedx 2021-04-27T05:38:41Z

Very fun short little game, a lot going on at the same time, i didn't quite grasp it entirely, but still had quite a bit of fun, the drill kept breaking without i even knowing why, took me a while to figure out to whack the moles but it feels nice, overall it's very fun and pretty, i liked it a lot, it's also unlike pretty much everything i played so that's a nice bonus!

An Unexpected Mishap in Naval Mine Cove by Bea 2021-04-28T18:13:41Z

It's so devilishly simple, yet so so good, having to physically move to other parts of the ship making you able to only do one thing at a time is so good, you guys really made every right decision here, the art is also incredible, the character feels a bit heavy but not in a way that gets annoying at all, it gets repetitive a bit fast but if you want to expand on this idea and make the ship a bit bigger and have more functions, perhaps with a 2 player mode, could be something really really special like Overcooked or Crawl, fantastic job!

Neuro Diver by gimmers 2021-04-29T17:33:12Z

Really fun and well made, the way the scenery rotates with you movement in a circular way is very cool and works really well, perhaps should happen even inside the heart but i digress. The art is superb, it's very simple and eerie, matches the tone of the game perfectly, the background music as well, gave me kind of a twilight zone vibe, really really good. I would add that maybe the life shouldn't be drained by time, then you could space the batteries more and maybe have them be a pickup, also it's a tiny bit hard to notice the transitions from the liquid where you can steer and the air where you cannot. Overall a very very good game, the handling of the player feels nice and the collisions fair, great job!

Deeper by hgushi 2021-04-29T02:55:29Z

fiaKaiera's comment is pretty much all the technical feedback, i'd like to reiterate all they said but I want to add first that it's kinda strange seeing the shadow jump up along with the character xD but more importantly on the D level a quality of life improvement would be the platforms being exactly as far apart from each other as the dash covers, would make it more pleasant. All that being said, I LOVED what you were going for here, each character having a unique mechanic, the cool little platform levels... it kinda feels like a metroidvania in a way. Also the art and sound are lovely and very characteristic, you guys did great!

My name ? by nyanpierre 2021-04-28T04:21:16Z

Oh i'm a sucker for a good old school puzzle/escape the room type game, and this one is veeeery well done, really liked the theme it had of visiting different life stages, the puzzles themselves are great, i love when morse code shows up, a bit of moon logic here and there but honestly it's what i like the most about these kind of games c: the art style is very well suited here, reminds me of the Rusty Lake saga but with it's own artistic identity, the sounds and music are also really good, and how each life moment has it's own soundtrack, fantastic job! I did notice though that when i clicked on a age to go to, if i clicked another before it loaded, it would load the second one i clicked, but the sounds would kinda overlap, not a gamebreaker by any means since i could just change ages again to fix it. I loved it a lot and would heavily recommend it to anyone looking for a cool puzzle game!

Tower of Satan by doodoo 2021-05-05T00:12:29Z

I can't stress enough how much i loved the art, it's perfect, the game itself also functions spectacularly, the score has a bit of an overlap issue but i didn't mind it that much. One issue i had was that i could just ignore every single enemy and keep going down around them, i could also drop down 2 or 3 platform levels at once instead of just walking. Some enemy variety and shooting upgrades could do wonders if you guys decide on expanding on this idea, as a jam game? It was absolutely incredible and amazing, you all did a fantastic job!

Objective Atlantis by Catoryu 2021-04-29T21:54:08Z

Really cool game, feels really balanced, it's somehow chaotic and relaxing at the same time. Loved the way it looks and sounds, very good art and music, works perfectly with the concept. Of the multitasking managing games that i've seen in game jams, this i would say is the best one, very well done!

Falling Memories by bufuak 2021-04-28T07:04:46Z

I liked the story it had going on, and even though it was very simple and to the point i liked the little puzzles, feels like a cohesive walking simulator, conveys the emotion very well, the soundtrack is also beautiful, but it had two little issues, if i clicked on the same object twice the voice lines would play over one another, and the beeping after a transition was way too loud, it scared me a bit the first time. It was a very cool experience, i liked it a lot, it's beautiful and very well made, good job to everyone involved!

Hamster Powered Drilling Machine by Unbansheee 2021-04-28T06:13:15Z

You really gonna put a leaderboard in my face with my country flag right beside my name? what a tease bghewbhguewewgewb you know how to get me huh, i spent about two hours playing this, that's just so mean, what a good game, simple, to the point, rewards the grind, feels like an idle game but with much more control in my hand, absolutely lovely, 5/5 for sure

Darkness Muse by Evil Villain Games 2021-04-28T19:08:41Z

What a great great game, truly, i loved everything about it, from the little sounds your projectile makes when you shoot it, to the way it looks, and mostly the game design is very smart, your health also being your projectiles AND your vision range, the way light goes around the levels, the pace... with a cool main character holding the lyre and a few more bosses/levels/enemies i would for sure buy this as a full game!

Elevator oddysey! by timepass 2021-05-04T01:10:26Z

A Bit janky, and that's crucial if you make a platforming game, it has to feel good to control the character, and in this one i kinda felt like i was fighting against my own character. Now looking past the charcter controlling, the game is actually really solid! I like the idea of progressing levels, the elevator was a nice touch, and the grappling hook was very satisfying! a great entry to the jam for sure, nice job!

A Frogs Tale by Gorethumb 2021-04-28T04:51:44Z

It has nice ideas, could work very well with a little more time and polishing, looks INCREDIBLE, the art is very very good, but unfortunately it feels like there's not much to "play" there, if the combat let me take agency in any form might have been really good, but even as an auto-battler it could be very fun, but it would need to let me see my health and stats and have a way to grind and what not, overall it's really solid, and got some very good ideas going on, great work!

This is DEEPER by TERA_BITE 2021-04-27T05:10:51Z

Very cool take on a 3 lane infinite scroller, the vibe and theme are great, the sound is simple but efective, gets a bit repetitive but not in a bad way, a gorgeous execution, loved it!

Egress by SirDuck 2021-04-27T05:28:45Z

What a gem, I would 100% play a more polished version of this, this already feels super good to play, toy with, look at, listen to, really a great concept of "pet battling" where you create you own pets, the file names made me chuckle and the whole hacker vibe feels great, nice spin on the theme, loved it!

l'Abysse by JyriO 2021-05-04T00:56:20Z

What an absolutely lovely little adventure, you guys nailed the mood perfectly, it gives off the same strange vibe that To The Moon gave me when i first played it, if this was a full blown game I could truly see it reaching that level, the story is super simple and short, but it's effective and touching in a way. And the underwater atmosphere was just the best, really felt in deep waters there, somewhat claustrophobic even at times. I won't really comment on gameplay because this was clearly a story focused game, it would be like complaining about the lack of "mechanics" in something like Gone Home, but the 2 details i liked the most was being able to control that tiny little light beam, and the pace fit the game perfectly, i see some people saying it's too slow and to some degree i can see why, but honestly, for me, it just had to be that slow, i think you nailed the speed of the game tbh. A great short experience, very well done!

Erode by EnergizedBlast 2021-04-27T19:52:45Z

Lovely idea, it works really well, the physics are very nice, the visuals match it very well too, liked the simple soundtrack a lot,and it's very fun even if not challenging to watch the earth eroding around the water, has a very good feel to it. I would like to add though that pressing the mouse button feels bad, it's much cooler and faster to just not press it at all most of the times, perhaps make it stronger but have a bigger cooldown? Either way, a very good game, great job!

Down Under by anactualhuman 2021-04-28T07:20:49Z

It's a great puzzle platformer, but i think you could've leaned more towards the puzzle side, having a limited number of digs is very clever, could turn out fantastic puzzle rooms, that is my personal preference though, it felt a bit too fast, hard to control, perhaps just turning the gravity a bit down could really help this because it feels waaay to hard to time jumps with digs. That being said, i think it looks and sounds perfectly, and the level design itself is incredible as well, it's for sure a great game and i liked it a lot, incredible job!

Escher's Dream by deltachemist 2021-05-04T00:15:05Z

A nice game, some Fez-like mechanics, an eerie and cool soundtrack, and a simple artstyle. It at times felt like solving one of those puzzle blocks where you can't really see inside and you're pretty much turning it around and guessing your way through, i think you could've done a better job communicating the level layout, making it a bit clearer where you could fall, and where you could not, also right at the start i can full send the character left or right and it doesn't count as a death, i can just keep falling forever. Still a great job overall, very nice game, i really liked it!

The World's Greatest Fisherman by justinj 2021-04-27T20:03:36Z

What a gem, looks like a gameboy color game but prettier, the aspect ratio felt really nice, it's a veeery cool concept of puzzling, the only things i would add are a button to rollback your movement, I got super lost in the middle of all the lines i had already made, and perhaps make the hook move a little slower, it felt hard to go through some tight spaces at times, but really, an incredible game, I truly loved it, fantastic job by everyone involved.

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-05T03:06:04Z

Honestly, incredibly hard to believe this is even a jam game, it's so polished, so well done, so imaginative, takes all the good parts about games like Dumb Ways to Die and WarioWare and puts in a funny jenga theme, works it's visuals to the max, gives a fantastic experience to the player, i honestly wanna play this a lot more, i would honestly call this a complete game and would buy it on any marketplace for sure, it's very fun to play, fits the theme well, has amazing minigames, you actually play the jenga part as well and the way you pull the pieces is very satisfying, i'm in awe really, fantastic job, that's a perfect score for me.

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-05T03:10:12Z

Also was really fun to me because i'm learning japanese and this was good practice xD thanks for that

BALANCE BLOCK BATTLE by squigglez 2021-10-15T18:41:29Z

What a fucking gem, i loved it so so much, it's so well made in every aspect, first of, the "3 lane" gameplay is simple and effective, you just feels good to play until you get it, the knee to lift into the air, the smash to any of the 3 lanes when you're up front but very limited when you're far back... everything just feels fantastic. I'm an avid fighting game player and this just feels like one of the great indie gems like Divekick or Footsies, i can 100% see side tournaments at big fgc events hosting this just as is, and i for one will keep this on my pc and play with my fgc buddies when they come over, the graphics and sound design also work perfectly, the percentage display is also very clever, the speed increasing each time kinda like in Lethal League... this just feels like an ode to everything i love, 5's across the board for me for sure, i try to give some constructive feedback but in this case i would honestly not change a thing about this, just perfect, thanks for making this, i enjoyed it a lot!

Unstable Heroes by Apples_mmmmmmmm 2021-10-11T20:28:18Z

I like the concept, loved the idea of a turn based rpg that some actions are just getting randomized every turn so you have to make do with what you have, but then you can stabilize them. Just wanted to know if there's a clearer way to stabilize them or if it's just randomly. Also in the description i think you should mention the lack of graphics, it's not a big downside seeing as the game works perfectly fine, but it's just because i remember trying to play this some days ago and thinking it was a bug or my browser wasn't rendering it, then today i saw a comment mentioning it and tried to play even without the graphics and had a really good time! Congratulation on the entry man, wishing you the best!

I really liked this, it's extremely fun to play around with, the balance the stacking the colliders... everything feels very good, it was a big joy to play, loved the idea as well as how it was executed, fantastic job it is lovely. A few suggestions i would make are firstly to make the internal verisimilitude a bit stronger and make the items to stack themed with the background, felt a bit weird stacking books and clocks in outerspace xD perhaps changing it to spaceships and asteroids would not only make more sense but give more room to use strange colliders and making the balancing part more challenging at later levels, and also i played it more than once and saw that the items are random, which is very very fun, but should be let 100% to rng, i got like, 5 bananas at the second level and it felt damn near impossible xD the second time through i got 4 sofas and they basically stacked themselves, so maybe adding a limiter on how many of the same object can appear would work better? I would also like to echo peoples worries about the song, it's a bit high pitched to be that repetitive, it kinda draws to much atention to itself, but i did like that it changed pitch every level, nice touch c: Anyway, the take on the theme is lovely and it's done in an extremely creative and fun way, overall one of the best games i played in this jam, well done!

Islands of Chess by frozenfire92 2021-10-06T06:41:31Z

What a great twist on chess! looks very good too, i'm not very skilled at chess, my elo is certainly very low, but i do love it, and adding some puzzle aspects to it was a great call and works wonders. I do think you shouldn't let pawns go backwards and should force to move kings out of checks, but that's more of a personal opinion i guess, i loved the experience, great game, congrats!

Orthoptera by cottontshirtz 2021-10-05T03:17:54Z

It's quite repetitive and the story didn't quite hook me, but the visuals and the game feel sure did. It feels just great to jump and glide around, and that scenario and song are gorgeous and go really well together, i like it a lot, it's a great experience overall and even though i didn't care much for the story i just kept on playing and playing and that is really a testament to how well you did with this little game, congratulations, great entry!

Kalamari Damacy by rHornbek 2021-10-07T04:55:42Z

Really liked this, firsty i'd like to say i think the boat feels a bit too heavy and not fun to control, and the sea could be stylized as well. Now with that out of the way, WHAT A GORGEOUS GAME, it's presented beautifuly, the mix of 2d and 3d works great both for the art and for the gameplay, the gameplay loop is also really good itself, perhaps could be a bit better if we could choose how to stack the cargo on the ship, but overall an absolute good time playing it, very well done, congrats!

Block fight by antoined73 2021-10-06T00:58:14Z

Oh wow, this was surprisingly incredible, with a more robust building system this would be an absolute godlike versus game, i'd love to play this against my friends for hours on end, very pretty, polished, fun. I simply loved this, very well made, a description on this page to let me know what to expect would probably make this do very very well because the game itself is amazing, i'm super glad i decided to try it even without any descriptions here, great entry, congrats!

The Alignment Problem by cireneikual222464 2021-10-05T03:47:38Z

Very eerie atmosphere, works really well, i get scared very easily so that was hard for me, but after i got a bit used to the ai it was tons of fun, was a great experience, and the touch of having to find the keycard so you just can't beeline to the finish, great entry, very well done! (also it's working just fine on windows :p )

Night of Treats by Nefylem 2021-10-04T22:27:52Z

Very cool entry! love the spooky theme c: I liked the decision to go back and forth between a base which was the cauldron and the doors to trick or treat that were further away everytime, and made me really feel the extra weight of the candy. The monsters are also cool but they seem to need to take a LOT of light on the knees to just be stunned for a little while, also some monsters just went flying for no reason sometimes. The upgrade nature of the torch was also very fun, felt myself getting stronger everytime! the "lose candy" bit felt somewhat arbitrary though, i would just lose candy and not even notice cause i didn't think the terrain was uneven or i was hit. i think if candy was a bit harder to obtain, and you couldn't lose candy would be a bit better, also if the monsters had different weak spots and died permanently in this setting with the flashlight combat mechanic would be a great roguelike! Also loved the flashlight itself, reminded me of Alan Wake but with the focus only on the flashlight and the upgrades it worked really well here. The lowpoly artstyle was quite endearing, really cute, just think the weak spots on the monsters knees could also be a bit more polygonal and not just a sphere. Anyway, great entry, i had a lot of fun playing this!

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-06T04:05:12Z

Kojan by Fat cat 2021-10-04T22:46:50Z

The gameplay is a bit simple and repetitive, nothing wrong with it really, works fine and it's fun for the short duration of the game. I could really see this working as a full game if that was one kind of minigame and every night you played a different game to survive. But the art and the mood are just fantastic, loved the style you had going on, i'm a sucker for that finalized sketch sort of look, it's gorgeous and works perfectly with the music which is also very good. I'd like it better if i had to worry about at least one more thing other than just the wood i'm collecting and making it back in time to fix the treehouse because the monsters are a bit redundant, but even as is it's a great entry and i enjoyed it deeply, great job everyone!

Duck Optimizer Pro 2021 by unplugred 2021-10-12T07:08:26Z

Actually extremely clever, very cool puzzles, great aesthetics, nice music, overall incredible, i loved it a lot, very well done. I do just wish the puzzles gave some feedback, sometimes they can feel way too much like trial and error not really because of a lack of logical reasoning but by lack of knowing what each button/lever does. Still, i loved this game, it's cute and challenging and i love puzzles, great entry!

Unfairly Unstable Unfun Game by Alexthehuman2 2021-10-15T18:13:06Z

Pretty funny game, kinda like a more tame Cat Mario or Eryi's Action, the unfairness was funny at times, the hole right at the bottom of the screen transition got me twice, so shame on me i guess xD great jam game, the controls felt nice, and since the theme was being kinda unfair i didn't mind at all the stickyness of the wall or the lack of jump aiding mechanics, those actually feel like they would be kinda out of place in this game, great concept done really well, and the menu functions simply killed me every time xD had a lot of fun with it, well done!

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-05T03:23:05Z

@aquilart thanks a lot for the feedback! the reason we chose to not limit the table legs was firstly so that you could flip the table back if you got flipped, then i did hold down two keys and hoped and thought it was really funny so we ultimately decided to keep it in without limitations.

@sarah glad you enjoyed it! our artist really worked a lot for all the project being the solo artist, so that comment is really nice :p thanks a lot

@nathant i personally had a lot of fun testing it out and getting lost in the controls, so it makes me really happy you think so too! thanks for trying it out and for the nice words c:

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-05T18:14:07Z

@frozenfire92 @ollieoa thanks so much for that, you guys made my day, glad you enjoyed it!

@jpcard thanks for the feedback, the retry button is there, it's just labeled as "restart level" but now that you said that i realize i didn't make it clear that ESC pauses the game, i'll do that on itch, regarding the music i could only get 16 bars in, in a future project i'll try for more so it hopefully isn't as repetitive. And the connected level and vertical gameplay is a great idea, but i think for a gamejam i'd still leave it like that because the loss of progress and frustration might be a bit of a mood killer xD but it's something i'll keep in mind if i work further on this, so thanks a lot for the suggestions!

@darsa thanks for the song mention, it was my first time doing anything related to music so i'm happy to hear that c: it's indeed very difficult towards the end xD sorry for the annoying bits and thanks for playing regardless, means a lot to us!

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-06T18:32:16Z

@bjornstahl thanks a lot for the feedback, i love speedruns and if someone ended up speedrunning this i would be over the moon xD sorry about the sudden increase in difficulty, there were supposed to have a bit more levels between that and the prior one but we didn't have the time unfortunately, anyway thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback, hope you enjoyed!

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-07T07:09:26Z

@glen-chang hey thanks a lot for taking the time to finish it! i'm glad you enjoyed it, sorry about the frustrations xD thanks for the feedback as well, always glad to hear your opinions! Regarding the reset button, it's actually on the pause menu, it's labeled as "restart level", i'll include that on the description of the game to make it clearer

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-08T03:26:30Z

@mhorth haha that is my nemesis as well, thanks a lot, hope you enjoyed!

@100th-coin Glad you liked it! You can restart the level on the pause menu, just press esc and select "restart level". I just recently updated that on the description to make it clearer, apparently a lot of people missed that cause it's kinda hidden so i tried to make it a bit more easy to find at least. Thanks a lot for the feedback c:

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-12T07:14:45Z

@flying-basement-studio @apples-mmmmmmmm thanks a lot for the feedback! both the thumbstick support and the different leg visuals are great sugestions! I will definately keep them in mind to try and implement them if i get to do any updates on this in the near future, thanks a lot for taking the time to play and share your toughts, much love!

Everyone else thanks a lot for the kind words, as much as feedback is important i do also love just hearing if you had fun with the game and where you were stuck as well, hope you had at least a bit of fun xD

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-13T20:23:59Z

@mascoll haha we did try to make every obstacle just a tiny bit taller than the last one, the stove is the highest we got to make where it was still consistently overcomable xD thanks a lot for playing, we welcome all the well intentioned hate xD

@alexthehuman2 thanks a lot for the comment, specially thanks for the mention on the soundtrack, it was my first time doing sound for a game so i wasn't so sure of myself there :p also the table assembled itself so it could escape, talk about willpower huh? but as you can see, it didn't assemble itself very well xD

RoTable by Vitor Milioni 2021-10-19T20:46:12Z

@honey-pony Oh wow, thank you so so much for the detailed feedback, that helps me a lot to grow as a developer. Loved the points you bring up and i'd like to share a bit of the toughts were at the time. I loved games like Getting Over It and Jump King, but the thing is the frustration there is sometimes unbearable, you lose waaay to much progress at a time, so i wanted an experience of frustration that was just for a given scene, to make the payoff of overcoming obstacles greater, because you can celebrate without worrying about having to do it again if you fall further along the game.

The flying around at the begining is intentional! I tought it was super fun to just spin legs and see where the table goes, and i think not demanding anything from a regular player would make it a more fun experience overall for everybody, because if you just wanna flail about you can still enjoy the game for what it is and get past several scenes, but later in the game we limit this by putting obstacles above as well, such as shelves and lamps.

We still wanted to make sure to reward players who took the time to learn the controls, because as you said they are not as intuitive xD so the idea of a timer came about, but that would punish people and would not be cool, so instead we decided that the timer should go up, and not down. That way you can play in your own pace, but for people who, much like me, love speedrunning, the game itself encourages you to do so!

Thanks a lot for the comment and taking the time to play, i hope you had fun! Any feedback means a lot to me, but one as detailed as that and from someone who made a game i liked so much even more so c:

Mysterious Mine by TheGamerASD 2021-10-05T18:48:16Z

Good little old school horror game. I'm very bad with horror overall but i wanted to give this a shot, now with some feedback: i think just the head being a bit bigger would already be scarier but not in a cheap jumpscare kind of way, would just be more unsettling and threatening. Also the lack of landmarks makes this really difficult to keep track of where i am, i basically have to keep mental track of where the start is. I did however really enjoyed it, the atmosphere is eerie and the sound design compliments it really well, the old school horror graphics work wonders here, overall it's a very fun and cohesive experience, the timer is also good to keep me from just hiding too much, very cool entry, congratulations!

Restroom Rampage by jaoel 2021-10-18T05:57:10Z

Oh wow, what a funny game, laughed a lot while playing this xD despite being quite a dumb (in the best way possible) name for it the clenching mechanic actually serves this game really really well and almost turns it into some kind of puzzle platformer xD just wish i would fall down on the slightest touch at any object and also would be cooler if he got up just a bit faster. but those are very small details, this is extremely funny and well made, great entry!

Timmy's Very Bad School Day by Miyolophone 2021-10-06T06:57:25Z

Oh what a breath of fresh air, wasn't expecting to play a "jrpg", much less one with such an original and cool combat system, the lines of the notebook being your dodging lanes was brilliant, hitting the right words was a great idea, i would only say that "cry" didn't feel good to use, every single time i was losing just as much health as i recovered or even more. And oh my god LunacyEcho, that soundtrack was so fucking great, what a banger, loved it and it went perfectly with the rest of the game, the "notebook art" artstyle was great, the script was great, absolutely lovely game, amazing job everyone involved!

Time Rift by Unrivaled Super Hottie 2021-10-06T20:46:16Z

Really cool game, very well done, feels nice to play, the level design is fun, and the time jumps are actually a cool mechanic, wish you would have explored more the idea of time jumping like mid slide or something, i felt like i could really just choose if i wanted to do it in the past or future. Also think everything could be just a tiny bit faster, running felt very slow. Overall an amazing game, even more so for being done in 72h, simply incredible, congrats!

when the earth falters by Honey Pony 2021-10-15T18:01:58Z

Just lovely, absolutely lovely, the gameplay is very smart even though the puzzles themselves are easy, the fact that you have a limit of 8 codes and can't see the progress of each one and just have to map it out in your hear is brilliant, the visuals are also really cool, even if they're simple they set a nice mood, and the diegetic UI is also fantastic, always love that c: i think my 2 criticisms would be that 1.The mood is kinda too happy and carefree when the planet is about to run into the sun xD this obviously didn't even bug me but i tought it was worth mentioning at least if you ever aim to make this a more serious and developed project. 2.I understand that you wanted this to be as easy as possible since it is a jam game and it's not fun to get stuck when you're trying out lots of games, but i think a really cool missed opportunity was to present certain commands just as subtext clues, or on the environment, and let us experiment with it and take notes, i found out the move right command before i actually found it's page because it was mentioned in the directional gates note, and that was the moment i felt best while playing the game, so i think leaning into it a bit could be very very good. All in all phenomenal game, loved it a lot, one of the best i played this jam, kudos to you! a 5/5 in my book for sure

Dragon's Odyssey by morcado 2021-10-04T23:03:15Z

The combat is a bit weird at times, the attack animation takes too long to finish and with no true on hit animations or effects you have no idea to tell if you really hit an enemy, combat on narrow platforms feels just undoable, if the whole concept is to go around fighting things and getting pickups i'd have hoped for the combat and jump to be a bit more polished. But anyway, for the way it is, it works really well, and the art is also fun, was cool to play, for a jam game it feels quite good to play, congratulations on the entry, well done!

Holdbreaker by Rustywolf 2021-10-05T03:33:08Z

I have to completely agree with cromo here, the idea to let me do directional attacks is fantastic and all the combat and movement feels extremely good, perhaps the jump may be a little too floaty but maybe that's just me. But the skeleton not getting on the platforms makes them a bit redundant, i barely used the upwards and downwards attack as well, would also like to add that perhaps the boss should walk, his only movement being the jump made me way to comfortable just standing still in his face until i saw the attacks coming(which were very well telegraphed as well, well done). This works great as a proof of concept for that mechanic and also looks and plays absolutely great, i loved it and see true potential in this idea, incredible entry!

Holdbreaker by Rustywolf 2021-10-05T03:48:56Z

@rustywolf ahh i know that feeling xD, it was still a great game man, that was just a little nitpick, one of my favorites of the jam so far!

The Niland Incident by bflatinteractive 2021-10-12T08:28:08Z

Quite fun, really cool game, my only criticism would be that you force me to battle instead of giving me the option of running away even with monsters chasing me, could make for cool moments i think if you'd let me run away and have some kind of monster behaviour where they run after me if i ever get to the square adjacent to them. Other than that really solid and fun experience, the artstyle is great, the mood is very well done, the sounds match the old grindy rpg vibe perfectly, no over the top items or explosions, just some good old fashioned "imagine it in your head" combat, i honestly love this, very well done, made me sad that it was so short xD congrats on the entry!

Gunstable by Rohan Akki 2021-10-05T02:44:54Z

Nice entry! very fun to play. cool take on a top down shooter, the way it's set up you really need to change weapons a lot and use the secondary fire and keep an eye out for a lot of things at once, it's very well designed i liked it a lot! Would have wished for different enemy behaviours but such is the life of a game jam right? Very well done, congratulations! Would also like to add that i personally loved the wild west theme and the sound design is also incredible

Boat History by etrealjunior 2021-10-07T05:29:28Z

I love the idea but i feel it could be executed a tiny bit better, don't get me wrong, it's brilliant, but i felt that almost all the time i was just clicking and dragging the boat around, just from a bit behind the boat. no penalty for drowning the boat completely, no permanence on the water. I feel this as is is a great platformer and i loved it a lot, but a think with such a cool idea and take on the theme this would work a bit better as a puzzler. Either way this is beautiful and you did a great job, loved this entry, well done!

Eruption by Jadeskon 2021-10-05T21:39:25Z

It looks great and it's very fun, loved it a lot, the controls are a bit annoying at times, the car just slides out way too easily, even with just 1 person on the car. Either way, i loved this, the low poly look and the objectives are funny and charming, great entry, congrats!

Unstable Tower by Ibrahim Oezhan 2021-10-05T18:25:43Z

It was very fun, it reminds me of those arcade games of stacking the cubes at the right time to get a prize, but much more calm and much less goal oriented, very fun and well done, the music is good, the visuals are simple and i loved the decision of having different blocks and pricings. I few things i would like to point is that firstly i think an equation for score could work better, since it's just how tall it is divided by how much it cost it's sad to get 0.xxx score. secondly as you can see in the image below, i can just put a block really high up and instantly submit, perhaps you could not let a submission be made while there's a block still falling. Anyway super fun entry, i liked it a lot, well done!

imagem_2021-10-05_152517.png

Perfectly Balanced by mhorth 2021-10-07T05:38:50Z

Oh man, this looks really polished and it's actually fun to play, also props for making the theme not only a theme but the actual main gameplay mechanic, works perfectly and it's fun and satisfying, loved this a lot. I think my only feedback would be to maybe add more different shapes to it, still, absolutely fantastic game, well done!

Bad Magic! by MorePixels 2021-10-05T02:53:27Z

I got a null reference exception trying to interact with the cauldron after making a potion, and after i quit and went back in the character just wouldn't move. Made me a bit sad, i like these "make the orders as they come in" type games. Has potential but it's hard getting all these fixes in a jam xD, please do ping me if you get a bugfix in, otherwise for now i'll just leave a grade on the art which is very charming, very well done pixel art, and seems to go well with the theme, well done on that front!

Bad Magic! by MorePixels 2021-10-06T01:47:58Z

Ahhh now with the "hold f to stir" i see what was the problem when i first tried it xD honestly the "potion mixing" thing was done a lot in this jam, and i think this is one of the better ones that tackle that, the multitasking is fun, the timing feels fair, and it's very pretty, good job!

Rocking Glacier by SephoWepho 2021-10-06T06:33:10Z

Just gorgeous, loved it a lot, don't need to reinvent the wheel if you're gonna build a nice well made wheel am i right? Very simple and very fun, could have a bit of quality of life improvement on jumps and how they feel but that's just me nitpicking, i also feel there were some interesting ideas to explore with the bobbing platforms and falling ones that you didn't but i also understand they could end up taking a long while to implement properly. Love the finished product, the art is especially beautiful and well made, everthing feels just right, but since you said you focused heavily on art i would have liked to see at least a tiny animation on the slime, it doesn't subtract from the experience the fact that it's just sliding around, but a simple animation could end up adding a lot. All in all a solid and fun entry that i loved having the pleasure to play, very well done, congrats!

Hack N' Shoot by Jake Summer 2021-10-05T19:54:51Z

Other than the enemies spawning directly on top of you with no warning it's a very fun game, a top down shooter veeeery well executed, the looks are amazing and the sound go with it really nicely, very fun to play with hacks, it doesn't stick too much to the theme, but it kinda does and that's enough for me, great entry, well done!

The Elementalist by Flying Basement Studio 2021-10-12T10:47:09Z

Honestly i just want to agree pretty much on everything with SkallyWags there, it was very well put and hits everything about the game pretty perfectly. That said, it's a great game, looks beautiful and plays just nicely, fantastic entry, well done!

Dubious mushrooms by ocwal 2021-10-15T18:24:39Z

It's a very fun concept, just needs an incentive for me not to just plant 2 mushrooms at a time on opposite ends of the platform, collecting them, then waiting for the platform to reset and doing it again. I'd suggest making it so that you always need to have at least one mushroom on the platform, or making random mushrooms spawn as well when you have less than 3 planted or something like that. Also want to agree with alex on the sfx, the music is just great, but the lack of some sounds takes a bit of depth out of the game. Overall a very very well made game and an extremly fun experience, i liked it a lot, thanks for making it! Also love the group pic, wish i could have been with my buddies as well during the jam xD Cheers everyone, y'all are great!

Diamonds in the Rough by animawish 2021-10-06T06:08:22Z

Actually extremely fun, all the elements interact nicely with each other, you don't get neither over nor underwhelmed, a lot of different decks is great, the silly kiddish drawn art is a perfect fit and is very well done, it kinda mixes minesweeper puzzles with deckbuilding games, simply beautiful, well done!

BALANCE-PARKOUR by Arken 2021-10-05T18:32:50Z

Very cute and eerie, i liked it a lot actually, the idea of a platformer that goes tumbling to the sides is fun, i think it could've worked better if we spent more time interacting with the scales, maybe we could change weights with the mouse so we would have to divide our atention and would become kind of a multitask game? anyway, it's a very cool game and i liked it a lot, well done you guys!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Baking Simulator 2022 by Sarah 2022-04-06T02:43:41Z

Oh my oh my this is so freaking lovely, what an amazing game. I happen to love cooking and i now wish i had a "put away ingredients" button in real life too xD this is seriously too good, the casual vibes, the relaxing music, the clear instructions to follow the recipe are all just superb. The art style suits it perfectly, i get from this the same vibes i got from Unpacking but in it's own cozy way. the gameplay is also very addicting, everything feels responsive and fun to manipulate, and i'm super glad you didn't went the Cooking Mama route of adding minigames to the steps, it's a super solid game and probably something i would buy on steam as is. And you did this alone???? absolutely bonkers, you are amazing, i really really like this, very well done!

CABBAGE DEFENSE by frozenfire92 2022-04-06T23:42:46Z

Oh man, it's super well made! And it also looks really cool, i love these low pixel count artstyle. The multitasking of planting and defending is cool and makes for a very tight, very complete gameplay loop, amazing and fun to play very solid! My suggestions would be 1.Let me have more crop space, only 3 makes it so i fill them up and can focus on defending a bit too fast. 2.Make it so the crops grow at different speeds, it looks like they both take 3 nights to grow, so even when i change what i'm planting it doesn't desync the growing loop of the crops. And 3. let me interact with the turrets a bit more, either by upgrades or at least letting me pay to heal them before they get fully broken, so it adds something more to do with the money. But as i said, the gameplay experience is very solid and complete and i've spent more time playing than i'd like to admit XD it was an amazing entry, and i think my favorite that used the tower defense design in some way, very very fun to play, thanks for making it!

CABBAGE DEFENSE by frozenfire92 2022-04-07T00:51:18Z

@underlig ah, i figured as much, these thing do end up taking a lot of time, sometimes even more than we expect. Glad to hear you were planning big as well! I still think the end product ended up amazing, great job by you guys!

MOTH by Beefsock 2022-04-06T18:03:32Z

I'm not a big fan of horror overall, but i absolutely love the atmosphere you set here, the graphic style is just amazing, i love these psx visuals, and the 2d-y look with the particles was the icing on the cake. Audio design was also on point, just amazing. And the way you didn't even let us see the way, just the focal light points in the distance and made us walk there? Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, using this on a bit of a longer more complex game would be an absolute homerun in my humble opinion, absolutely amazing entry, congrats!

DashFight by antonsem 2022-04-06T19:04:09Z

Oh man this is amazing! I love fighting games, and this honestly reminds me a lot of the simpler ones like Divekick or Footsies. The way movement in itself is the attack is brilliant, i like the rage mechanic to avoid being stunlocked, and how if you panic and mash you lose it, it's all surprisingly deep when you put it in a fighting game scenario, i love this just how it is, but i think it would benefit A LOT from a 2 player mode, a versus mode if you will (even though i know this would make it kinda not fit the jam's theme xD). Anyway, i think you got something really good here, feels great to play, it's fun, and the stickfigure design is charming as well, outstanding entry, i loved it!

Stop the clock by Shampop 2022-04-05T16:08:26Z

Perfectly fits the theme in a fun arcade-y way, love all the faints you throw, also the art and music, despite simple, aren't half bad at all, it's a really well made little arcade game. All i can say is that this is a game that would benefit greatly from a global leaderboard (even though not necessary at all), and the "high score" should be formatted for seconds or minutes or something, not very easy to read a time score of 111777.12. Overall a great simple fun experience, and a great take on the theme taking it literally

Thanks, Socrates by WilhelmStein 2022-04-05T18:09:16Z

It lacks mechanics or depth, but goddamn it is funny xD It's refreshing to see someone call socrates out for what he truly is, always felt like he was a grade A a-hole. The simple pixel style, the sitcom music and the appearing of several historic events and figures makes this a delight to play, probably wouldn't play it again, but veeeeeery glad i played it once! Extremely funny and a great jam entry, very well done!

@cryptomnesic Thanks! I was thinking of porting it to mobile so hearing that actually makes me very happy, thanks for the feedback!

@minusc thanks for the feedback too! It did end up a lot more rage inducing than i first expected xD but due to the time constraint i chose to embrace it :p, hope you had fun!

@krzyhau yeah, the music became a bit repetitive, it was done last minute by my friend to save me from having a silent game xD I wasn't too fond of the theme, yeah, but i felt it was a great change to reimagine an old arcade game since those were pretty much all about delaying and not really winning :p thanks for the comment, it means a lot!

@polymathld Thanks a lot! I was in a bit of a cowboy mood this weekend xD Shooting the ball would actually be thematically fun if i could make it work around the pinball platforming, what i originally wanted to implement was a button to shake the screen a bit, much like you would shake a pinball machine when the ball got stuck :p unfortunately didn't manage to get that done in time, but still, i'm very glad you enoyed!

@ben-newington ahh, now i'm hating myself for not thinking of this, you make a very good point thanks, i'll try to implement this in a future version perhaps. Hope you liked it!

Tilted Saloon by Vitor Milioni 2022-04-06T15:07:34Z

@kita i'm glad you enjoy the art that much, you should definitely consider following our artist on his socials, he's amazing! I initially had it more zoomed in, but it was just too hard to see you sorroundings like that so i had to zoom out a bit. Thanks a lot for your comment!

@roruke @mrpouletbzh thanks for the feedback, apparently the consensus was that it should be a bit faster xD i tried to prioritize the platforming instead of the pinball aspect of the game, but i should have prioritized it so heavily, thanks a lot for sharing that, definitely something i'll keep in mind for this project!

Tilted Saloon by Vitor Milioni 2022-04-07T14:07:03Z

@frozenfire92 thank you so much! I wanted to adjust the physics a bit but i like how it ended up at least, thanks a lot for the encouragement, it means the world to me

@sarah Wow that's super high praise, thank you! Hopefully in a future version the difficulty curve will be a bit smoother xD And yeah absolutely, we can talk anytime, feel free to send me a message wherever! Thanks a lot for the feedback, i also had a lot of fun on your stream and with your game!

@sourdoge Oh wow how have i not heard of that? I've got to try that one out, looks super fun and is on sale rn xD Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

@apostle yeah, it ended up being a bit harder than intended, but i decided to roll with it xD i'm glad you liked it though, thank you for your words!

@sofignedova Haha yeah, the physics came out a little wonky, i want to complete them for sure, i'm glad you enjoyed the visuals, we had a lot of fun making it with that theme, thank you!

@flyingkaida It's tough even for me xD i spent hours testing it and it was still super difficult to get to the end on the final build to make sure it was working properly lol. But what matters is if you had fun, thank you so much for playing and for the comment!

Tragedy on Tattle Row by Cievers 2022-04-05T15:53:48Z

It looks and sounds really good! I think the initial and the final cutscene could go a lot faster, or at least have a skip button, it was a bit slow for me. Also the typewriter noises were a bit off for me, but that's a very minor inconvenience. The gameplay itself was fine, i think it got repetitive a bit too fast, and that there wasn't very much happening other than the clock just going, the anvils and statues felt a bit trivial. That being said, it's a really novel concept, i really liked fisically holding the clock hands as if to stop time, and the gamefeel was also simply great, very satisfying to play. I feel like it would be better if instead anvils and statues dropping on the clock, it would be a bit better if you had some sort of thing attacking the player directly, so I would have to actively let go of the clock hands sometimes to save myself and then go back. The art style and the song were really good too, nice at both setting the mood and just being great to look at/listen. Amazing jam entry, very well done!

We Need To Talk by Doot 2022-04-06T21:35:58Z

Absolutely amazing! Motion inputs were a brilliant idea, it's not only super simple to understand, it's also super fun to play, has amazing humour, the art style is super consistent with the whole thing and is also super cute, the sounds are on point, the song is cool and not too repetitive, has a lot of replay value, it's just superb. Honestly 5* across the board for me, just a great great entry!

Sir, your Armor is melting by FloGames 2022-04-05T20:21:08Z

Visually the game is very pleasant, i actually really like the way that everything looks, the lack of sound and mechanics really hinder them though. The core idea has some potential, maybe some surfaces melt the ice, maybe sometimes you need to throw the cube forward and then pick it up again, there is a lot that can be done here, right now it really feels like just walking left and right. But I also do understand that this being a game jam we can't always do everything we really wanted to xD and it also appears you've done it all by yourself which is also very impressive, overall a good job, nice entry!

Wizardfall by Quite Good 2022-04-05T22:28:02Z

Oh wow, visually speaking it's my favorite game so far, everything has so much personality and is so well made, i love it! The gameplay is nothing crazy but it's also really fun, felt like an easy Undertale boss, where i could either kill or talk my way out of it without the combat itself getting too crazy. Also made me laugh a lot, who knew the villain's favorite song was behind blue eyes huh? Amazing entry, congrats!

CigBan by Bassilij 2022-04-05T16:17:19Z

Honestly i wasn't expecting it, but it ended up being a really really fun game, it's simple, straight to the point, and very very funny. It's not the prettiest or best sounding game here, but it made me laugh, i had a very good time. Would love to be able to adjust the sensitivity though, and from what i saw he only carried things from left to right, would be cool if it was random, or also if he could be carrying healthy things and you had to identify if you had to shoot first, and then hit the shot. But i digress, great entry man, congrats!

What Have You Drawn? by MrPouletBZH 2022-04-06T18:19:14Z

Wow, this game is JUICED, everything feels so satisfying, the screenshake, the transitions, the sounds, everything here feels amazing to play, outstanding. Honestly hard to believe it was made in only 72h xD it's so thematically strong and visually interesting, the mechanics are par for the course for top down shooters, but the addition of the progression being tied to "exposing" your art to criticism was brilliant, even more so having in mind that i can actually recover the page beforehand, i'd just like to add that at least in windowed mode, while walking, my shots were actually going far away from where my mouse was. I feel like with a bit more time the levels/transitions could be even cooler, drawing inspiration from the artistic periods, and taking us through surrealism, cubism, realism and whatnot. Really inspired idea, and amazingly executed, congrats to everyone involved, this is superb, amazing entry!

Exit by Krzyhau 2022-04-05T15:33:41Z

Oh man, I love escape rooms so much, and this was just evil, the exit starts open? and every puzzle i solve more and more arrows pointing to the exit appear? what an absolute tease xD This was seriously just lovely, I'm actually mad i didn't get 100%, the puzzles were also really well done, i've done my fair share of escape rooms and this was very very well designed, used a lot of my favorite escape room elements that i'll refrain from sharing so i don't spoil anyone. I really liked especially that you pretty much keep coming back to the same keypad to type out different answers for different puzzles, seeing as the exit start open I feel it would be a bit pointless to unlock more and more keypads, so overall i absolutely loved this, it's my favorite one in this jam so far. The art and the music were good, nothing too crazy but very solid, but being an escape room i feel the visibility could be a bit improved. To add some constructive criticism, i really feel like the keypad should have the numbers written on them and maaaaaybe I feel like the morse code one should have the "answer" to the first and the last line written beside them or just remove the bottom line of it, i got it cause i happen to know a bit of morse code but i feel like it would be a bit of hard deduction to just assume they mean what they mean. Overall an amazing game, it's the kind of stuff i would actually buy on steam as it is, fantastic job! (Oh, also you should change the second image in this page, it spoils one of my favorite type of puzzles! maybe change it for the wall with the morse code written on it or something :p)

Exit by Krzyhau 2022-04-05T15:55:44Z

@krzyhau sure thing! i got 45%, but as i said, i'll most likely come back and try to 100% it sometime this week xD

Exit by Krzyhau 2022-04-06T04:14:56Z

imagem_2022-04-06_011307.png I did tell you i was coming back to this :p really really amazing stuff, ticks all my boxes. And yeah, apparently i did get a bit ahead of myself with the morse code the first time around lol, also the "ending sequence" scared the shit out of me, very well played there xD

PopCat Hoover Disaster by OrangeDragon 2022-04-06T17:50:18Z

It's so simple, but so fun and well made! You must certainly have cats cause this just captures the life of a cat owner perfectly! xD I think the mute button should also be available during the game or start screen, just on the game over feels a bit strange. That being said, i pretty much loved this, the knocked objects stopping the vacuum for a bit is a great touch, despite mentioning the mute button, i wouldn't press it, love the song and it fits perfectly with the chaotic mood of the game, art style is also on point, and the gameplay itself is also super fun! Very solid infinite scroller game, with some coins around that you could collect and then use to improve your cat i really see this being ready for a mobile release of some sort, absolutely amazing job everyone, great entry!

A Small Fable by HiddenTavern 2022-04-05T18:35:41Z

Now, i want to start by saying i wasn't a big fan of the gameplay itself, it really does feel like i'm just walking left and right. I wanted to start with that because i don't want it to take away from all the things i liked here, the style choices were great, the pixel art, the book presentation, the little twist at the end, all the sound effects were on point, the amount of menu-ing available... not the most fun game, but certainly one of the most well executed ones, it really blows my mind cause these little executions are the hardest part of gamedev for me and here it's just superb, great entry for sure!

Protocol Delta by itsBoats 2022-04-06T22:08:22Z

This is just pure arcade fun, super satisfying and addicting, very oldschool style but done in a very modern and polished way, absolutely loved this! might come back and try to get a record for myself xD

The Fire Will Die by PolymathLD 2022-04-05T17:19:19Z

Very heartwarming, loved the little story going on, at times a bit too expository at times, but being a game jam i don't see any other way you could have set a good solid background so i'm actually very impressed with all the story you managed to get in there. The gameplay itself is a neat multitask game, having to juggle finding food and fighting wolves with coming back for warmth works very well, but the big selling point has to be the art and music, they, in a very simple way, really push the story, it was a lovely game to play. I will agree with steven that the drustan's warmth bar should have been kept in the last bit, even if just to put a time constraint on the player, but anyway, it's very well made, congrats on a great entry!

The Ultimate Martian Roulette by HaaYaargh 2022-04-05T18:45:57Z

Honestly what a gem, from idea, to presentation, to execution... everything was spot on. Making some kind of card game mechanics around russian roulette and presenting it as a martian game show? I can't even begin to imagine how you all pulled that off so well in just 72h. Amazing stuff, everything looks and sounds good, the game is super fun to play, the odds menacingly staring you from the middle of the table at all times really gets me kinda nervous every shot. And the little sprinkles of humour here and there work wonders to take some weight off of the subject and really make it seem like a little fun gameshow, i mean, sentenced for opinions? damn i laughed at so much here, and had truly a great time, 5* across the board from me that's for sure, amazing entry!

I Would Like to Thank the Academy by sprunth 2022-04-07T02:01:21Z

Look, this has some issues, but it's probably one of the best takes on the theme, it's a very creative idea, and if it weren't for some execution errors could possibly be one of the best of the jam! Mostly, the prompts should show the whole sentence, not just the start, and you should be able to mix and match to form a single sentence, not just pick a box and see the entire sentence on screen immediately. Other than that it would be most presentation, refining some graphics, an ui overhaul, but this is the core of a very great idea for a small joke-y game, if you polish this and release around the time of the oscars next year i'm sure it would find great success! great jam entry for sure!

Outrun the Darkness by FlyingKaida 2022-04-06T21:41:57Z

I really liked it, it's very cool that it's a more maze-y and pathfinding infinite scroller, and still mantains the genre's simplicity, the running consuming flashlight power was a great touch, and the pixel art is simple but very well made and fits just great. Amazing entry! out of the infinite runners i played it's one of my favorite!

Handbot in... Scrap Heap by DonnieDarko 2022-04-06T15:19:20Z

This was a joy to play, looks and feels like something i would play on Kongregate some years back, in the best way possible of course. The hand drawn art looks amazing, the sounds everything make are perfect, the feeling of walking handbot around is just great by itself, then you make a very solid exploration/adventure game based around a great mechanic of having to utilize then reutilize basically everything that you can pickup and each thing interacting differently with the scenario makes this absolutely great in every single way. An absolutely amazing game, i had a lot of fun, thanks for making this! (also, handbot is super cute, i love it)

Impending Darkness by Kita 2022-04-05T14:32:09Z

I liked it a lot! Visually it was very interesting, I loved the look, i feel like the textures interacted perfectly with the complexity of the models, very beautiful and sets a great dark and broody mood that works wonders on a game centered around darkness. The gameplay itself is pretty fun, just gets repetitive a bit fast, i like the idea of pushing how far you can explore without knowing if you can make it back, all while having to collect more materials to make another trip forward when you get back, with a few added things it could really work on a deeper level, but as it stands, it's an incredible jam entry, really novel idea and very well made, felt really good to play. My only real criticism would be that i felt the camera was a bit too sensitive, wish there was a mouse sensibility slider adjustment or something, but that really is just me nitpicking, very well done all of you, looks like a great team all around!

Colorful Love by Mikomoares 2022-04-05T16:58:38Z

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Mystic Blades by Vulpez 2022-10-04T02:39:50Z

Very cool! Love the way it looks and plays, the elements and colours feel very intuitive and are honestly very responsive. I also love that the elements are phisically on the corners of the room so that you have to move through and consider how many of each colour slimes are around. The art style is great, but the character looks to be a bit too different from the rest of the game elements, though both are very cute and well made. Few things to point out is that if you touch an enemy but never leave contact with it, you'll only take one damage, similarly if you get run over by 3 slimes you lose all lives at once, i would recommend something of a ivulnerability window. As pointed out I also think that maybe increasing the damage or reducing the amount of slimes would be cool. Also due to the limited space might be cool to make the weapons ranged and add 3 or 4 walls around the room, but that's more personal preference. All in all a great entry, very well done!
