@tigerj Thanks for streaming the game. We're very honored to receive your award for "Most Serious" LD42 game.
The art and animation are really nice and smooth. Gameplay, I ran into a bug where nothing would die when health reached 0. This included the player character. Everything was invincible. I sat there and did nothing for awhile. The enemies eventually pushed me out into uncharted territory of nothingness.
I rage quit on level 16 haha. Super challenging puzzle game you got here. Well done!
The pool of dead bodies left behind from all my failures was a nice touch haha. Well done! Great game!
**Scenario:** _bedroom1_ [4 people], _bedroom2_ [4 people]
**Action:** sacrifice 2 people
**Result:** _bedroom1_ [2 people], _bedroom2_ [4 people]
**_Expected Result:_** _bedroom1_ [3 people], _bedroom2_ [3 people]
The expected result would allow both rooms to begin creating another person, instead of just _bedroom1_. If this was a design choice, I can respect that. In terms of efficiency, this bothered the hell out of me lol.
Anyway, the game looks great. Hella polished for a jam. Good job!
@konsumopfer77 This is how I get it to run on Ubuntu. Right-click on either .x86(32-bit) or .x64(64-bit) -> properties -> permission -> check "allow executing file..." Then you should be able to double click to launch the game.
Awesome game! Units were hard to click on sometimes, when the UI overlaps them. Game could benefit from showing when units/buildings take damage as well. Anyway, would love to play this again after the updates. Great job!
- 66.6 seconds to play - 666 blood to summon the Lord of Metal - 666 stars deserved
666 of out 10, would summon Lord of Metal again.
Clever name for the game. One thing I found weird about the mechanics was the speed of the bullet being slower than the character's movement speed. Other than that, cool entry!
Nice little game entry. Well done.
Game looks great! Loved how the flying children constantly say "money" in a whisper. Well done mate.
Duuuuuude. Love this game! Incredible job!
I beat the game THEN realized I could upgrade...whoops. Nice game! Well done!
Hahahaha...haha...ha......Ok I'll go find a girlfriend online...
Haha this is great. Well done.
Now this is a game! The music was a bit too relaxing for the situation, but I liked it regardless. Nice jam entry. Well done.
Dope entry. I have nothing to criticize. Good job!
@exploma The life of a currency is certainly confusing. You're not alone.
@philippem I've asked the bill the same question and have not received an answer. So as far as I know, that's all it does. BUT if there IS more to what it can do, PLEASE tell me. I'm dying to know as well.
@grllle I was prepared to engage in a gloriously stressful weekend with my peeps for our 4th Ludum Dare...until we saw the theme. Nothing we came up with sounded fun or worth making. So we decided to skip the event this time.
Roughly 12 hours later, I was speaking to a friend about how bad the theme was. I felt really disappointed on how things unfolded this time around and that's when it hit me. You could literally play as currency, which would fit the theme perfectly.
And so I trolled out the idea for the simulation game, submitting around the 28th hour mark of the event.
So far I'm happy about the reactions it's getting. My intentions were to make people laugh at such a stupidly simple thing while staring at a lifeless bill of currency. I always strive to make something that will produce some sort of emotional reaction, this time being laughter.
@nexusviper exactly
@ausstein  I'm glad to hear my "game" helped someone. Good job on finishing!
I go all in. Every time. No matter what.
I lose in the first round. Every time. No matter what.
Interesting looking money grabbers haha. Cool little entry. However, the mouse cursor/cross hair was hard to see. Had to strain my eyes a bit to keep track of where it was.
Bummer you couldn't finish it. Hope things go better for you next time.
Paying with your life to have a girlfriend, wife, and/or child sounds about right haha. Anyway, health per second instead of health per minute would give the feel that the game has more going on.
Nice! The UI is quite rough, but works. I've attempted a card game in LD before, and know exactly how challenging it is for 72 hours. Overall, well done!
The controls felt very delayed. Felt like it took nearly a second for movement or shooting to respond.
All the bacteria looked terrifying. I wanted to fight them all! Cool game concept. Well done.
There's something about the hand drawn black and white look that's so appealing. The little sound effects made this game even more charming. Well done!
I finally know where babies come from. Thanks for the educational entry.
Nice streamer simulator. Tried to survive many times and failed. Guess I'm not cut out for that life. ggwp
OMG the sound effects were gold! Thanks for the good laugh.
One thing to criticize is that the movement felt clunky. Otherwise this was great.
I played the shit out of this entry. Polish this bad boy and sell it.
Interesting concept. Super casual. The game plays itself after all the upgrades. It's almost relaxing to watch and you can occasionally interact with it. I could see this running on a digital billboard of sorts in a mall. People could walk up and touch the screen to knock some of the balls around occasionally.
I strafe around as swift as the wind. Two swords came into my possession. From then on, nothing survived the might of my double chop. I was bathed in green energy balls as I pursued my quest to reach depth 69.
At some point during my travels, I lost my sense of self. My vision...neon green. I no longer felt my arms or legs. My body...gelatinous. The green cube creatures no longer hurt me.
I am become cube.
You had me at the intro
Wowza! The amount of polish in this gem is amazing! Well done team!
@risk4bisk Thanks for the feedback! I'm disappointed with how the game turned out also. I had to work everyday of the jam. This was all I could get done.
@edward-dassmesser @paperdomo101 @vitor-milioni @scruffylooking2121 Thanks for playing my short troll jam entry! Glad some found it humorous.
@spice-cabinet To dig or not to dig? That...is the question. The rules say no digging, but you're curious. So you dig anyway.
@bananabobbert many thanks, so honorable. such eardrums, much sorry.
@nikolaj but...the rules...no digging...
You're absolutely right though. Shame on me for not letting people dig bigger holes.
@aaranos You win the game.
@peace-of-cake-games Hmm that's a bug I was too lazy to fix, but if it increases the chance of killing the player...yup it's a feature now.
Oh, and you also win the game
@peace-of-cake-games Thank you. I aim to please.
Much polish. So deep.
The art direction is fantastic! Wow! Well done!
A short, but beautiful adventure I'll never forget. Thank you for making this!
I shat myself. Thank you.
 :trophy:
A well-made sandwich.
Cool digging and "launching" mechanics. The slow walking speed encourages digging at all times. Very difficult to get used to the controls.
hahaha, alright then
Neat idea. Has potential. Would like to see this expanded upon.
Awesome game. After some sfx, vfx, and in-game tutorial; you would have yourself a hell of a mobile game.
I really liked this game. Added it to my Ludum Dare 41 favorites on itch. Hope you will expand on this game further. It has alot of potential.
Too busy headbanging to care about the gnomes. Super polished game. Well done.
Love me some rhythm games. Hard to clear a level the first time around, but after you hear the song a few times, you know what's coming. Might include some sort of indicator to help with each jump.
Cats are banding together to take over the FPS competitive scene. We stand no chance. Abandon all hope. Humorous game. Well done.
This would be a great VR game. Slide, jump, don't touch the wall, collect the stars. Simple yet challenging.
Great way to incorporate a text adventure into a platformer. Wanted to keep playing, but couldn't figure out how to go through the portal so I ragequit. :(
Welp, I guess I'm one of those players who's hand has to be held throughout the game. LOL. Great entry none the less. Well done.
@riddhee-dutta Thanks! I will check out your game right now!
@captainpilot @yorsh Thanks for playing! I admit it's lacking in the UI department. Things like an interactive tutorial option would be helpful or better displaying of information in general.
@spacemonkey Thanks! It helps that we've worked on a semester project together during college before and play D&D together every Wednesday night for roughly 1.5 years now. As for the gauges, the mins are 0 and the max I believe are 100 for all but the speed (which is 50). Those numbers we didn't really spend much time on, which feels unbalanced at the moment. We rushed to get it all done. Anyway, you will see more games from us in the future. Thanks again for the feedback!
@hexagore Thanks for playing! We actually spent very little time balancing the game, which still needs attention. We told ourselves to keep the numbers small and take note of how each resource fluctuates before making any adjustments. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it!
@maduke Thanks for the feedback! The awesome card descriptions were done by @laurim, amazing graphics by @carystringfield, and silly spelling errors/minor graphical glitches by me! Whoops!
@gustavo-manchae I absolutely agree with needing a clear explanation of the mechanics. Using symbols similar to mtg is a great idea. Brilliant!
Thanks @mrspeaker, that means alot. We pushed ourselves pretty hard over those 72 hours. It's very rewarding to hear comments like yours. Appreciate it.
My sunflower empire rules over all! Muahahahahaha! Oh, also, cool game. Well done.
