LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

.undefined by Albuquerque 2018-12-03T20:54:39Z

@darylsteak Thanks for your feedback! LoL. I have to say that sound volume is always a problem in jams! For some reason I always get the default volume either too loud or too low. Hmmmmm. Perhaps I can issue a hotfix for the volume setting. Thx <3 EDIT: Your Handle is familiar to me. Previous LD, maybe?

@pandan Yeah! I was a little bit sad that I could not finish the way I wanted - it certainly deserved more gameplay. Thanks for playing.

@anfaas1618 Thanks for playing! Saying you got scared is basically saying that the game achieved it goal! :)

LD46 — Keep it alive

B.U.B.B.A. Express by Pizzasgood 2020-04-21T05:16:58Z

The game is pretty hard, but I like the idea and it put me into the mood of keeping BUBBA alive <3

Paper Holes by Gehad 2020-04-21T05:27:57Z

Really simple but complete in itself. I really like it! I feel your game falls into "take a simple concept and execute it well". Solid entry!

Tumbleweed by Brenan 2020-04-21T05:07:12Z

Graphics and Mood 5/5. It looks S T U N N I N G Content apart. you could take the video footage and screenshots you have and actually sell this as a indie/AA game. Many would click. Wow.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Another One Loops the Dust by limered 2020-10-06T02:45:03Z

Wow. The vibe this game gives is amazing. Why does the dust keep ruining my mood! Nice entry <3 So funny

HamStuck by Tommy 2020-10-05T02:39:38Z

Incredible game. Simple, yet fun. Made me laugh really loud. Only feedback would be more visual/audio feedback on what causes the defeat - it was sometimes unclear to me!

The Trolliest Problem by allthebees 2020-10-05T03:43:02Z

Conceptual

a Damsel a Day by alec 2020-10-06T02:10:05Z

Simple. Polished. As game jam winners tend to be. 5/5

Loop Dungeon by Luis Oliveiras 2020-10-05T02:20:57Z

Really hard puzzle. Made me feel really smart!

Stranded by Verso 2020-10-05T03:30:47Z

The systems are solid and it is a well rounded experience. However, I with it was more entertaining than going around collecting items. Still, great achievement for a solo project over the weekend! Good job!

while(true) by TomekS 2020-10-05T16:27:00Z

Nice game! Really solid. And wait... was that procedural? Holy! The only thing is that I did not see much of the theme in it. Well, congrats!

Rocket Mission by dunderroffe 2020-10-05T04:33:10Z

I really liked the idea of syncing orbital trajectories to do objectives. Wow. Simple. Brillant. I wish the asteroids weren't as punishing as they currently are. Solid entry. Great job!

TimeFabric by raoz 2020-10-06T15:45:26Z

I glad you implemented this mechanic. FANTASTIC.

Robot Fight by ZanyG 2020-10-05T02:52:37Z

The game seems to have a nice amount of content! Took me a while to figure out how to play, but once I did it was pretty good! Nice job!

Robetrotter by Tyrael 2020-10-05T17:49:31Z

Smooth gameplay. Not revolutionary, yet super effective. Good Job!

Wow. What a concept. Reminded me of papers please. 5/5

This gameplay is really solid. Nice mechanics and exploration of the theme. Jam-perfect i'd say.

Keyspace by Jon Topielski 2020-10-06T01:40:59Z

What a concept. I really liked how you introduced the game. 5/5 game design. The only issue is that im not sure how it fits the theme. Still, impresive.

Fun but difficult to control. Congrats on the game!

SO MUCH GOOD VIBES 5/5

Castle Hallway by gilazarini 2020-10-05T23:40:49Z

This game looks SO GOOD. I really like the animation and graphics of the cards. High point of the game. Gameplay wise, dying was a little repetitive (a common issue in this game jam) Still, this game had a refreshing take. Congrats!

Prestige by Tedbuke 2020-10-05T20:58:23Z

Really enjoyed the aesthetics. Reminded me of scape the room games. Good job!

EZ Dungeon by risingsunz 2020-10-05T20:21:46Z

Nice take on the theme, but I found it way too hard and unintuitive.

CycleCycle by colejparker 2020-10-05T19:50:03Z

Tron, but in a sphere. Nice. Congrats on the entry! I suggest not making multiplayer games in jams tho, because its often the case that people do not have someone to play. Good luck!

Luddite by Q-Bert Reynolds 2020-10-05T16:34:46Z

Solid entry. Hard mode is really hard! Glad you kept/introduced easy mode. My only feedback would be that the audio (bgm) is currently too "annoying". But still, nice game!

Remember the Way by ilopes 2020-10-06T00:04:38Z

Had real fun playing the game. Reminded me of cat Mario because of the frequency and silliness of the deaths. Good job!

Nico's Halloween Story by raks 2020-10-05T23:31:27Z

What a charming game. I really like the ghost faces and the fast pace :3 I only had some issues with motion sickness. But its understandable for a game jam. Solid game. Good job!

Loopy Luke by Donamougou 2020-10-05T19:53:18Z

Reminded me of carnival faire games. I also like the take on loop being the tracks of a train. Nice entry!

In The Loop by Luc-creationallabs 2020-10-06T02:22:34Z

I like the game feel and simplicity of the game.

Astro Juice - (DING ESPM-RJ) by Breno Alves 2020-10-06T00:16:55Z

Wow. This is a fully fleshed game. I was amazed by the main mechanic of having each character survive one element. Really good. The one feedback I have is that the glide (red character) is a little bit clunky. Besides that, superb.

K7Dungeon by Leonardo Coyado 2020-10-06T00:28:09Z

I loved the retro visual. Stunning. Gave me that "good game" graphics. Congrats!

Bird Beats by Mateus Lopes 2020-10-06T00:19:47Z

I did not understand the main mechanic/purpose of the game, but boy.... it didnt matter. The dynamic audio is so nice and it made me happy. What a light hearted experience Thank you for that.

Sushi VS Burrito by Jhun 2020-10-06T02:28:13Z

Stupid and fun. I Love it.

Harmony of the Spheres by StephanyeBlakely 2020-10-05T02:33:53Z

Had some nice vibes, but I had trouble with the mouse sensibility! Good job!

SORO BORO by nethead 2020-10-05T03:49:07Z

Great game. Solid graphics and audio and I liked the reuse of levels as part of the main mechanics of the game. Wanted the game to be more forgiving though. Great job, specially for COMPO. Wow.

Collateral Damage by Michael Parrish 2020-10-06T01:55:40Z

Circular space invaders. Perfect.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Friendship is Magic by adsefhr 2018-04-24T03:52:05Z

Something did not work for the JUMP and for some reason my player 2 did not appear in the game. Despite that, the graphics look very good and the BGM is quite nice as well. I like the multiplayer feature, but I think it will work against you for people playtesting your game :(. Not many people will have 3 people gathered together to playtest games. That aside, I think it is a really cool game.

EDIT: For the theme, I did not get the 2 incompatible genres. Is it at the end? I could not reach it because of the 3 player thing :(.

Friendship is Magic by adsefhr 2018-04-24T04:09:20Z

@Riyeou May I suggest you to make a gameplay video for your game and post it here (also, including the ending - even if you have to put a "SPOILER" tag)? It would help people to see and appreciate the work you have put in the game more easily. Also, I am curious :3

Wordelicious by ludipe 2018-04-23T06:38:24Z

Amazing game! Really polished and engaging.

My main problem was only the theme of the jam. I did not get the "2 Incompatible Genres" out of the "typing" and "restaurant" games.

Super Fun Action Chess by seano 2018-04-25T04:27:30Z

Wow! You did a really good job. One of my favorites. I always liked chess and I feel your game has a lot of strategy potential (which is usually really hard to get such depth in a game jam). GREAT GAME.

Super Fun Action Chess by seano 2018-04-25T04:28:08Z

BTW, I found your game bacause you were featured on this video: https://youtu.be/jMmS8l3pGes Congrats!

EDIT: and here I am doing free advertising for someone's channel, LOL

Zeus Fever by ret44 2018-04-25T03:35:30Z

Amazing graphics and polishing! Your tutorial was amazing and it REALLY feels like a finished game with tons of polishing. I really admire your production cycle during this jam!

Poker-Man : Arcade + Poker by lavwa 2018-04-25T01:54:53Z

Good twist on the genre. Twisting classic games is a common practice but I think yours delivered it very well! Congrats

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-25T07:10:38Z

I really like the turn based mechanics. The programming was on point. Good job!

Guan's Island by Chris Coe 2018-04-24T05:22:47Z

I got a fatal error after entering the forest, gathering the "lights up" orb and going back to the temple. The fatal error showed up as soon as I entered the temple scene.

I am playing on a Windows 64 bit, Windows 10, with only keyboard and mouse.

___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Create Event for object obj_temple_controller:

Also, I could not find what to do since I could not jump over most of the "tall jump" parts of the game.

I really liked the art of the game and the abundance of levels and scenes. And the over world was quite nice. Also, I think having many different power ups is a really nice touch. It motivated me to try to explorer and find out what was on this world. Unfortunately I hit the bug above, which made me unable to play test further.

Congrats on your game! I think it has a really nice foundation for something really engaging and instigating. :)

Guan's Island by Chris Coe 2018-04-24T05:46:37Z

@chris-coe Dont be sorry! We are all game makers and we know this kind of thing happens! In fact, I think you can hotfix the bug and reupload your entry and still count for the jam! Just make sure to point that out in the description of the game.

Be proud of what you did! You did a great job.

Hanoi - City of Scooters by mshopf 2018-04-24T04:42:32Z

Really nice idea. Phrasing it as "massively singleplayer" game really caught my attention and seeing the way you executed it was really great. Making you play offline against other past players was a great twist for the theme. Congrats! For me, the way you handled and executed the theme is the gold of your game. You sold me.

For the gameplay itself it could be more engaging. Only moving around at regular speed is a little monotonous. BUT! The arcade style of the game really adds to it, making it quite addicting, specially once you know the other cars are players.

Also, making it a web game really facilitate playtesting <3

Solid entry! Good job!

Motorhell by Shelvid 2018-04-24T04:30:08Z

Wow! Great game!

Good aesthetics and graphics? Check. Fun to play? Check. Engaging? Check. Game Jam Theme? Check. Variety (different enemies and strategies)? Check.

I REALLY liked the "Motorhell" sound at the beginning. It set the bar really high! And it delivered.

Congrats for your game! Specially for a jam!

Now, being super picky, and also because being constructive is always good, I have a few comments: - Maybe changing the level design to something that enhances the idea that motorcycles are fast would be good. The current arena makes you need to do lots of turns and play it really slowly. - The gun shooting can be more responsive. Sure, I shoot and do damage, but it needs to "feel" more powerfull (usually done with sound effects and knockback and stuff)

Once again, congrats for your game!

Motorhell by Shelvid 2018-04-24T04:46:16Z

@Shelvid I did not read the part you said it was made under a day. Really impressive! You did quite a lot for less than a day. You must be proud of yourself :D

F.P.S - Frootz per Second by Albuquerque 2018-04-25T03:05:28Z

@weekend-panda Awkward Curiosity: The purchase-meow sound effect was my voice saying "Nyan" with a high pitch. Also, thank you so much for the feedback. There is a lot of satisfaction on seeing people like something you were part of <3

Black Hole Zoo by Weekend Panda 2018-04-25T03:14:12Z

Wow! You had to see the smile on my face when playing it. At first I did not like the excess of dialogue but you sold me on it. I laughed so much when the "tutorial part" was over and it switched from a easy game to a hard one. And the characters were on point.

Games are supposed to be fun and yours 100% was a lot of fun. REALLY GOD JOB!

Flight Deck by Kovakomes 2018-04-25T05:49:16Z

Saw your game on stream! Nice game. I love the text and drawings on the card! For me, it really fulfilled the card game fantasy. My only complaint would be the complexity at the beginning. GJ!

On The Fly by qkjosh 2018-04-29T16:19:26Z

For me this was more of a art experience than a "fun" game to play. BUT! What an art experience! Congrats on your game.

Sweets Crumble by Epiin 2018-04-25T04:00:18Z

It took me a little bit of time to understand what was going on but I liked a lot the use of the theme! Congrats for your game! Good job!

Transmute by Evan Leibman 2018-04-24T03:43:01Z

Nice graphics! And the shooting mechanics seem fun too. I like how it interact in different ways. My main problem was the jumping, which I could not control movement mid-air (which made it "kinda of unresponsive"). Also, after the part I had to shoot the 2 blocks to jump the gap I was stuck without knowing what to do. I tried it for 3 minutes and no clue. Hope you had fun in the jam! The game seems on right path!

TypeBoxer by KScorp 2018-04-25T03:21:48Z

I really liked the game! The gamefeel was quite right and the words were fun! My only critique would be the oversimplicity of the visual style, even though I think you got the arcade game vibe right! Congrats! Solid entry.

AsteroidCraft by schsam 2018-04-25T06:39:14Z

The RTS worked so well with the asteroids game. It was a good idea to merge both!

The Mad Bulleteer by Diego Escalante 2018-04-25T04:19:11Z

Nice GAME! It was both a fun clicker game and a space shooter. Good job!!!!! The graphics for me were on point and the mechanics felt right. For me it was more a shooter than a clicker, but this is totally design choice. Be proud :)

Par 99 by notnullnotvoid 2018-04-25T03:49:01Z

Amazing game vibe. I love the exploration and the golf twist was gold. Really well done.

The Adventures of Cake Man by MidnightRose 2018-04-24T04:06:36Z

I like the sound the most! Specially the fact that it matches the "pixelish art". Also, I like the fact that the gameplay is short. I really helps the "minigame vibe" thing. However, my main suggestion on how to improve the game would be to work on the player engagement. For me I was curious about what kind of combinations of ingredients would lead to different results, but I felt I did not get enough of that. Good job on your game!
