LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Twist Turn Shoot Burn by gamepopper 2020-10-05T20:53:28Z

The high pitched gun SFX were not my favorite. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Daily Grind by Basileios 2020-10-05T22:14:34Z

Reminds me of "Every Day the Same Dream" by Molleindustria, but with with less choice.

The Great Donut Escape by Sphyrwa 2020-10-05T16:03:32Z

A standard side scroller infinite runner similar to the Dino game that Chrome shows when you don't have internet. I would have liked to see an concave bend to the ground to match the menu art. Run cycle looks very similar to the one from Saint11's gif tutorial. Character often starts spinning or becomes sideways after bumping into things.

My wife was very concerned that there were no safety constraints on the Ferris wheel. Thoroughly enjoyed this. First 2 marriages failed, but I finally figured out how to save my marriage.

Karmic Circle by TheConfusedCyborg 2020-10-05T16:36:54Z

The cycle of life gimmick fit the theme well, but there wasn't much substance to the game. Play until you die and play again as the next thing. If you had some level of control about the order of animals you reincarnate as, I could see this being an interesting puzzle game. There were also a few bugs where it would change tabs on me after completing a level.

Terraform Express by Josh Roby 2020-10-05T16:27:29Z

The learning curve on this was pretty steep. Once I understood how to play, it wasn't so difficult. My only issue was the pacing. Waiting for the train to come back around the the resource I wanted was painful at times. Graphics were simple, but the palette pleasant and the overall style was cohesive.

Witch Boy by Destin Meza 2020-10-06T14:13:36Z

A vignette and some simple lighting tricks would have would have been nice. I was legit startled by the witch, but the flat lighting didn't keep me in suspense. The character was a little slippery. Animations for the boy were awkward and broken looking, but the art was nice.

Instructions were unreadable with such a small (and un-resizable) window. Another problem with the small window size was that you end up clicking off screen often because the controls make you click and drag away from the window. I lost far too many games this way. Overall, I enjoyed the game, but I'm not quite sure how this fits the theme.

Drive link gives me a 404.

The Corridor by Justin Roe 2020-10-06T14:25:58Z

Got stuck on the floor a lot. Camera was really slow, so when you dropped, you went off screen. Jump scare at the end was expected, but still got me.

Recursion by BlakeMartin 2020-10-06T14:26:37Z

This was super interesting. It was eerie and well executed. I would like to play a longer version of this.
