Seriously professional and high quality game! Every aspect done really well, especially the art, sound and music.

dekobii 2018-04-24 08:10

High quality, but i struggled with the game. It felt like (and was) playing 2 games at once, which was discordant to my experience. Perhaps the theme came through too literally. Awesome graphics and sound, creates a good sense for the game.

themoonrise 2018-04-24 10:12

Hey, I really like your game. The art style is lovely and the music is just great. Only the blend between the games could go a bit further. I quickly found myself just playing the match 3 while placing a tower every now and then. Overall definitive an impressive entry!

nidup 2018-04-24 11:47

Wow, very solid entry, overally the best I tested up to now, congratz  From lovely arts to good game-play and appropriate music, you guys built a great game, wish you the best for the final ranking :rocket: :fingers_crossed:

leonard 2018-04-24 12:14

The game is really cool! Graphics are good and the mix genre works :)

ekkoekko 2018-04-24 12:14

Most thing that i like is the title of your game. Its attractive to the users

chema-esteo 2018-04-24 12:23

I didn't get how to make turrets to react or something, but I lost just in wave 3. Although, funny game. Good job!

achebit 2018-04-24 12:27

Interesting concept with professional polish (dare I say you guys do this for a living).

Not really sure what all my buildings were supposed to be doing? You should put up some instructions =)

ret44 2018-04-24 12:47

@achebit, @Chema Esteo, everything should be explained during intro, unfortunately it's easy to skip it. I'll post instructions to entry description later today.

digitaldude555 2018-04-24 13:31

You just buy the towers and then play match 3 section to get the bullets for the tower guys.

I really really like the the music and sound effects 5/5.

Graphics 4/5 are great too.

My biggest problem was the theme, it just feels like two games independently rather than a combined one, 95% of the time playing I was looking at the match 3 section. 2/5.

Innovation 3/5 nothing really innovative here just standard tower defense and match 3 game.

Humor 4/5 just because of the intro.

Fun 3/5 tough one to judge, I love match 3 and tower defense, but it got hard very quickly by wave 4 the monsters over ran me and I was constantly short of bullets. The tower defense section needs balancing.

overall 3/5.

badpaul34 2018-04-24 13:56

Greatly made but we really need to know what the turrets do, on hover or on long press. It reduces so much the stakes of the game.

It's a great game, for a gamejam. The audio is fine, the two game logic is good, but I think it's a little bit hard. Good job!

macdoom 2018-04-24 19:50

Great game! It combines the genres in a very practical way! Superb atmosphere. Congratulations!

brendan-toy 2018-04-24 23:00

HAHA loved the intro, the humour was really good, i like the mix of puzzle and tower defense, but i had a problem, playing on Chrome the waves were invisible!!!! so i couldnt see what was coming. so i died a few times ont he first wave :( but despite that, the potential is strong in this one so it gets a high rating from me :)

Amazing graphics and polishing! Your tutorial was amazing and it REALLY feels like a finished game with tons of polishing. I really admire your production cycle during this jam!

I played this game on stream last night, here is the VOD:

Thanks for making this game!

topbraj 2018-04-26 13:01

I really enjoyed this! It got VERY hard VERY quickly though, and I found myself mostly focusing on generating mana. No need to buy more towers because I didn't have any mana anyway... However, this was really enjoyable, a great idea and amazing polish!

talonos 2018-04-27 02:55

Glad I got to play this for you live on stream! Really like the audio and intro, it made the game feel polished. I think you have a foundation for something great here! As others have said it gets hard pretty quick, so some balancing is needed, but for a Ludum Dare game I certainly don't expect perfect balance. Nice job!

rebecca-kremer 2018-04-27 02:58

This was very fun! Had a great time playing it on the stream ^_^ The humor and graphics were on point and I really appreciated the opening cinematic. :D The cyclopses got really tough in wave 4 and I don't think I would have been able to beat them, but I aws so into it I didn't even notice until Zues started getting hit haha. :P

sam-machell 2018-04-27 18:18

very tricky! lovely art style absolutely beautiful, felt really great and the audio was immersive! i like the idea of combining the two genres and i think theres a lot of potential in it. i especially like at the beginning the way the dialogue flowed and read (but that's just a weird small thing i like in games) good job!!!

ultrarat 2018-04-28 18:27

Very cute sprites and sound. It is unexpectedly missing some conversions of the genres like the towers not prioritizing the creeper closest to the end of the path and the match 3 part not allowing input by clicking on one piece then another and instead forcing you to always drag. I suppose problems like this are the issue when needing to do twice as much for two types of games in a short timeframe.

robber 2018-04-29 12:22

very cool theme combination, i think it was a bit weird that i could only swap if that would actually end up with a connect 3, i couldn't swap in between..at a point i think i had no possibility to swap any more.. the Greek theme is funny. the game overall is very well implemented and polished! nice entry!

morrilet 2018-04-30 02:22

The art and audio were great, and the intro was super cute. It took me a while to figure out that I needed to keep the towers stocked with ammo, but once I did I got a little further. This was still really hard, though! I'm not great at match-3 games to start, so you can probably guess how I did. I also feel like the cursor was a little difficult to work with, and I can't help but think that using the usual cursor would've fixed some of that awkwardness. Either way, the game was solid. Nice work!

hisfantor 2018-05-05 09:56

your game seems to be very interesting but I can't see the enemies :/ (using chromium)

Very polished game! I died at wave 4 on second play ^^

It's kind of hard to see where the cursor is, maybe with another one, or the default it would be better. My first attempt at playing it, I didn't realize the match 3 section was made to resupply the towers so I died pretty quickly haha. Loved the intro, and the graphics are great!
