LD38 — A Small World

W.R.L.D. (World Reconnaissance eLite Defense) by TerraCottaFrog 2017-05-01T14:57:36Z

What an awesome game! This is probably the most challenging game I played so far on the LD38. And that's a good thing.

The control are good even thought I would have love the ability to move sideways and reverse acceleration.

The game play is epic and hectic, with particle effects everywhere giving life to the game.

It was a bit hard at first to identify what is an enemy and what was a pickup. But the ld page description helped with that.

Overall, a very good game. Congratulation!

The Burrow by Stending 2017-04-28T18:25:13Z

This game is soo relaxing and engaging! There is a lot of satisfaction hidden in moving a worm around and collecting Orbs.

Apparently I closed the game just before a very interesting even, so I'll play it again :)

Beautifull art style, fitting music and good controls. It was hard sometimes to go exactly where I wanted to go but I think this is just me not being used to the controls yet.

Something I would have enjoyed to have, thinking about it, is a counter for the number of collected orb visibile all time on the ui.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=1h17m59s )

To see what happens in the game after I stop playing check @stending youtube chanel **SPOILER** https://youtu.be/iFj7w4V1ipU )

Endless Hexagon by David Cookie 2017-05-04T00:48:57Z

Well I couldn't beat you :'(

But it was really fun to play during this late night. The concept is simple but can create deep complexity. The music is good but can become repetitive after a while. I wish there was more variety.

Everything is made clear with the tutorial. Congratulation!

Feed The Anthill by StaNov 2017-05-01T17:00:11Z

A very simple but well put together game with amazing Kazoo soundtrack.

The art style is fitting the game and in combination with the soundtrack create a very cute atmosphere.

If I had only one remark, I would say that the game play is not very challenging, a bit too easy. I had to voluntary collect more ants and stop collecting food to end the game.

Overall, this is a quite nice experience and I advice you to try it :)

Good job!

Blomst ๐ŸŒป by Ava Skoog 2017-05-01T15:45:04Z

This game is soo cute :D And not only cute, it's also fun to play, figure out how the ecology on the planet works, where to plant which plant, decide what to use and what to sell.

In a nutshell, I really loved it. I had no problem at all with the control beside some minor collision issues that really didn't matter.

The particles effects, the music and the art all fit the mood perfectly. This is such a relaxing game, thanks a lot for sharing it!

Space Balls by Dejvo 2017-05-01T14:26:35Z

Playing with this game was a nice experience. Floating around as a photon in the micro space between atoms was fun.

Sometimes I felt that my control had very little effect on the trajectory of my photon. I was more able to steer it in general direction instead of really directing it. But this is probably a gameplay choice.

I was not able to reach the eye in my short playthrougth and didn't felt a sense of progression. I think adding a "distance to the eye" in number somewhere on the UI could help with that. This will also give a small idea of score and allow the player to know if he did better one time according to another.

Invasion - The Chronicle by Kappa.B 2017-04-28T18:11:05Z

Very nice palette for the graphics, and nice graphics too.

I enjoyed the game once I understood it but the interface caused me some problem at start.

It wasn't obvious for me that I had to activate building with the number keys on my keyboard. But it may be due to my cluelessness (if that's even a word) and the fact that I didn't realise that clicking on the explanation screen would make it disappear.

With a bit more polish to the UI, this game can be awesome.

Daydreaming Island by camilo 2017-04-28T18:21:02Z

I really like the art direction in this game. There is a big focus on story and puzzles. However, the control were not great and probably need a bit of work. Moving around was a bit "jaggy".

Earth, 3568 by BoltKey 2017-05-01T14:43:28Z

A super enjoyable game!

I didn't experience the same issue as @HuvaaKoodia with the mouse, so for me aiming the shot was ok.

However, I felt like the gravity of the different astral bodies was too weak. I was always expecting my ship to be more affected by the sun and the planets.

As a extra nit-pick, the population is already dropping when the introduction text at the start is displaying, making it hard for the first playthough.

This is a very cool concept, congratulation!

Pity About Earth... by mwcz 2017-04-28T14:43:59Z

One of my favourites so far! A game without flaw where you defend our beloved Earth against the Universe!

I never saw so much asteroid coming towards us, but I'm glad humanity built a big shield.

The rhythm is very well planed and paced. With high pressure wave interrupted by breathing periods with less enemies.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/_Upt3PIzndo?t=2h15m12s )

TerminAnt by davikin92 2017-04-28T18:01:53Z

Very entertaining game! I would have loved more level, and this is a good sign :)

I'm not much of an FPS player so don't quote me as an expert ^^ All I know is I had fun!

The mix of puzzle element and shooting is really good. The only comment I would make is that the enemy didn't seems very hard to beat.

The music added a lot to the game also.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=7m24s)

Budget Earth Defence by stefenism 2017-04-28T14:33:21Z

This game had a lot going for it, a fun terrain destruction, lots of different weapon and an enjoyable goal.

Unfortunately, for me, on windows, the game started to lag soo much that I couldn't play anymore. This made me a bit sad as I had to stop DESTROYING EVERYTHING :D

Good concept, good game play, unfortunate implementation. I don't think you would have been far from finding an optimisation thought, I know unity is tricky when editing textures.

Aside from the performance issue, I think the controls where a bit hard to use, but it may just be me. Having a jetpack and a jump on separated key made me confuse sometimes.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/_Upt3PIzndo?t=1h35m40s )

A Week's Passing by iseeicy 2017-05-01T16:56:19Z

This is a wonderful game. A real gem!

After seeing this on the stream of @Drazil100 a few days ago, I really wanted to test it, I'm glad @iseeicy proposed it to me yesterday.

The narration is very immersive, you slowly but surely feel the feeling of the main character as if you are him. All of this is setup in a very well crafted 3d world filled with character that may seems simple at first, but actually carry a lot of expression via animation and a lot of meaning in the story.

Playing this game was an unique experience and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks a lot and congratulation!

Petit Adventure by Sun-Wukong 2017-04-28T19:06:47Z

This game is sooooo cuuute! :D Super beautiful graphics and an cool gameplay as well.

I wasn't able to beat the final boss, but it makes sense as I rush next to enemy on the way that could have give me plenty XP. I'll play it again later on my own just to see the end scene :)

Very well put together game, congratulation.

Pixel Town by automatonvx 2017-04-28T19:16:33Z

Pixel Town is a very nicely made game that can take 5 pixels and make you understand what they represent!

I really enjoyed this game, a management game with enemy wave coming to destroy your carefully build settlement.

The music is really fitting the art style too, making the full package consistent.

I would have love more building, more enemy and more map in the game, but this is a good thing, it just means I love it so much that I want more of it.

This is a game I can only recommend! Try it yourself and have fun :)

PlacidTeleCave by madsj 2017-05-01T15:12:23Z

This game is really challenging but once you get use to the teleport mechanics and understand a bit more the looping boundaries of the map it is extremely fun to play.

There is a lot of diversity in enemy and power-ups, making the game super interesting to play more and more. The game compel the player to try another time.

This is a very good game worth playing! Congratulation

World en abyme by lepatryckduffy 2017-05-01T15:54:36Z

World en abime is a very clever game slowly introducing new game mechanic to the player.

My only complain about this game is that it ended too quickly, I wanted more of it :) Of course I understand the limited time frame of the jam, but this is a good thing, it means I had fun and enjoyed the game a lot.

I didn't suffer as much as other reviewer of the physic, for me the physic was good enough for the game play.

The art style and sound design is fitting the game as well.

Overall: a great game I advice anyone to try!

HexCity by MartensCedric 2017-04-28T19:11:13Z

This game is awesome!

Let me say that again: This game is awesome!!

Hehe, I had a lot of fun playing it on stream, even though my brain was not up to the task anymore to beat the world record! But I'll try again later, I also directly dreamed about finding the optimal solution, but that will be a story for another day :)

The art style is really made by dev on this one, but it doesn't matter at all as the game make up for it. A simple concept, pushed to the maximum!

Congratulation! And I totally agree with the "brainfuck" statement

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=2h50m16s )

Polyorbis by Matthew Albrecht 2017-05-01T15:33:03Z

The pyramid with the most character in the whole universe :D the wiggly animation of walking around in this game is fantastic.

This game is more complex then it looks at first sight, you have to manage which weapon to use at any given time in order to save on your ammo, and if I'm not mistaken, the enemy have more and more life, forcing you to use more powerful weapon longer you play.

The polygon art is simple but do the job properly. I was just a bit confused by having to move the camera around myself. I wish the camera would automatically rotate around.

The bullet were acting weird around the pole as well, but this was more a funny behaviour then an annoying bug.

Auto generating music is a great concept, but made me a bit sea sick at some point; probably because of the instrument used.

Super Collapse Guy by crazi456 2017-04-28T14:15:56Z

Mindblown! This is amazing!

A very good use of 3d vs 2d. A very good game, relaxing and mind bending at the same time. Thanks a lot for this entry.

For me the camera was a bit too low as well, but I'm not sure if this could be improved due to the switch perspective mechanism.

Progenitor tree by Tymonr 2017-05-04T01:15:36Z

This is fun, a bit slow but cool relaxing to play. I loved the reflection and waves on the water!

Your art style have a lot of character. However, the night is very dark and I'm almost able to see anything. This could be helped if the houses and building where emitting light during the night.

Also, on the visual side, the UI for the population count appear behind the leaf of the tree for me, making it very hard to read.

I managed to survive a few days without too much problem, but as you said, it took a few try and error. Good game :)

Zen Demiurgy by mortus 2017-04-28T13:26:39Z

A well put together world building game with nice art style and deeper game-play then it seems at first glance.

I really enjoyed this game, the UI could use a bit of work as the control with keyboard + mouse is always something wonky for me, but this didn't remove any of my enjoyment!

My best score was only 42 during my first tries but I'm sure I'll be back to it and try to do better!

Evacuator! by Robber 2017-04-28T14:09:52Z

Save as much as you can, but choose carefully! Maybe saying that stranded guy on the other side of the map means leaving a bunch more people to a certain death. "If only human could swim!" your repeat in your head, but it's too late, the water is rising, and P.E.J.D.S. is the only hope for mankind!

The graphics of this game are really well done, fitting with the game concept. A use of very flat texture on the hex grid help a lot with understanding the map and focusing on the level of each tile.

The only thing I could suggest to improve the game is to allow the player to change his/her mind after choosing a destination tile. If you click on another tile while moving, the truck will change destination. This would help greatly with the feel of the game.

This is a very challenging rhythm base game with great music! I love it :)

It took me a bit of time to understand the meaning of each colours. That green meant doubling your balls but twitch chat helped a lot there.

I wish I was more awake when I played it, but will play it again later to try and do better!

Holy Shit! A Spider !!! by Aurelien 2017-05-01T11:56:32Z

A very cool and challenging simple game. I only got about 750 ish point, but only because of some bugs that helped me.

I really enjoyed your friend voice acting hehe, it added a lot of personality on the game.

The only thing I would suggest is to have the multiplayer visibile on the interface to show the consequence of "saving the spider".

Very good game! Congrats!

"It's a small world!" by szczebel1995 2017-05-01T16:05:33Z

A very cute and challenging game. Even though the graphics are not from the developers, I feel that @szczebel1995 managed to integrate them extremely good in the narrative.

Running around in this street, avoid car and people to find your true "cofee" love is really cool.

I only managed to beat the "magician" level but it was really fun to try and fail :)

Overall: a cool game that seems relaxing at first but is actually quite a challenge.

Core Fall by Pickler 2017-05-01T15:59:26Z

From Canada to Space, passing from China!!!!

This game is very compelling and so fun to play. You need to be extremely focused as it's going faster and faster and it becomes harder to avoid obstacles on the way while still catching those delicious speed power-up.

The concept is great and fit the LD theme perfectly.

The randomness of the placement of object in the game may vary a lot your final result, some run will be much easier then other. I also advice you to download the game instead of playing in the browser, as a higher fps may give you advantage.

The art style is really cool too. Overall, this is a game I had hard time to stop playing! Congrats!

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/lXUmif8KKxM?t=3h31m13s )

The Epic Quest For The Mighty Croissant by 0x0 2017-04-28T13:33:37Z

Wonderfully cute voxel art! This is remininding me of stonehearth, if stonehearth ate a Teddy Bear with holding a knife and went berserk :)

The gameplay is fast pace. Very nice music. Clicking to move around is cool, but I don't think I had the best experience with the webgl player. When clicking super fast, I think my chrome browser refused some of my click.

I advice to download the game and play outside of the browser.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/_Upt3PIzndo?t=2h29m54s )

_I'm bad at this game, but I should try to improve. I tried it a bit tired and without the developer being present anymore on the stream, so I had to do it quick not to make other dev waiting_

I wish I could write a review, but I forgot the name of this game ^^

hehe /*end joke*/

This game is a really cool point and click! The animation, narration and game play are all really well put together. I lost completely my first play though but I guess I should have paid more attention to some details.

The developers made a great job at making the player feel like he is personally forgetting memories.

Great game! Congratulation.

The sound design and music was also very cute and fitting the theme of the game perfectly.

Super relaxing exploration / kill all the planet game.

**Required 'run as administrator' on my windows 10**

Once I managed to launch the game, I discovered an universe where you have to eliminate every planet one at a time by bumping them. Each planet having a specific behaviour and it's own puzzle.

This is a very cool game with very nice music too. Sometimes it can get confusing, but that's part of the gameplay.

The best strategy game with the most awkwards control I played so far :)

This game is cute as hell and very nice to play. Gathering resources, collecting allies and sending them to eat your opponents!

I understand the control scheme as it allows for multiple players to play locally. The music is really fitting the game.

Get Off my Planet! by Magehuntz 2017-04-28T18:16:16Z

**Get Off my Planet!** :D _This was me shouting it irl, I love your title_

A very well made game with beautiful graphics and a simple gameplay: move around the world and push intruders!

I would have loved more enemy variety but I understand that it takes time and that features have to be cut in order to fit the tight deadline of the ludum dare.

Also, it may be good to not move the camera up and down when the player is jumping, as the rotation + moving may induce motion sickness, but that's a very small tweak.

Qwer CiTy by Le Slo 2017-04-28T19:01:21Z

My QWERTY "AZERTY" City was cool to play :)

There is no problem about the keyboard layout in this game as long as we switch the windows layout. The keyboard position is just a reference to the position of the buildings. (this doesn't mean that I was good at playing, far from it :p)

I really enjoyed the concept of moving around with all the keys of the keyboard, it made a lot a sense and created a lot of fun. However, aiming my shot with the same method was... tricky.

The art direction is nice: building, music and flying saucer are all fitting together to create a beautiful scene.

Good work!

A superb exploration game with wonderful graphic direction. This game is a good take on the small world theme. The world is small or huge relatively to your own character.

It is really compelling to explore the different island and the puzzle are not too complicate that you get stuck and frustrated. The game, even though relaxing is well paced.

I loved playing this one, thanks a lot!

In space, no one can hear you SQUAWK! by Venny 2017-05-01T15:20:14Z

This game are a really good art-style and a compelling game play. The gravity is really cool mechanic and fun to play with.

Unfortunaly, even once I succeeded the falling challenge, a game bug forbid me to continue playing level 3. I ear from the developer this bug is fixed though and I understand the time pressure of the ludum dare sometimes do not allow for this kind of issue to be fixed.

I coudn't play the music as it is copyrighted and would strongly advice @Venny to have look at royalty free music for the next game jam. You can have a lot of good music free of right and free to use for your games.

Overeall, a very good game I enjoyed playing. Thanks :)

The first level of this game is super hard to win, however, the second level make up for it by being awesome :D

I really wish the game had more levels has I had a lot of fun moving around and solving puzzle on the second level.

The controls were a bit hard to get used to but were good enough for not being an issue on level 2. The music and mood of the game was quite good.

The graphics are simple and could use a bit more smoothing but honestly it didn't impact my enjoyment of the game.

Overall a very cool game were it is worth to brute force the level 1 in order to have fun on the second one! Congratulation!

Selling / destroying / changing room was something we had in mind, then decided against, then discussed all together and decided to implement in the game, then... forgot hehe :D I guess we forgot to create a ticket for it on our project management board and at the end everyone was too tired to remember.

About the tutorial "10 population". It is working but badly explained in the game, this is probably because we are not native English speaker and extremely tired when we finished implementing it. You can win it but you need 10 workers and 5 soldiers. If we renamed "population" to "worker" in the goal text it would fix this directly. But this will be post LD.

Collecting soil faster is possible, you have to dig your way up to the "surface" and build "soil generator" room. You can even improve them 2 times and have worker working on it. Once again, we didn't explain that very good in the game :(

Wow so much review ^^ xD

Thanks everyone for all your comments, every criticism is really appreciated and we love when we see some of you enjoying the game!

We learned a lot as a team during this LD and will take all of your comments into account for the stable version of the game and the next game jams.

@sachos345 thanks for playing the game, yes you should not even see the audio vote on the page, I can't confirm that as I don't see the vote on my own game but if you see it, please let me know as I will have to notify the dev of the website. Thanks.

**edit

nevermind, I had to edit the game and opt-out, it should be fixed now :)

Thanks everyone for all your reviews! It's awesome to have so many people playing our game :D

@Ava-Skoog we opted out of the music and audio category as we didn't make them ourself. The music is auto generated by a web site and the sound effect are just taken from a free to use sound library. We didn't want to be unfair to the people and teams that actually created music and sound from nothing.

Rise of the Termites by Togis 2017-05-06T15:07:18Z

Hey @RobotSoulsGames, thanks for trying our game. I'm sad it didn't give you fun but I'm very happy you took the time to test it and give us your review.

To answer about team size vs game polish-ness, the team was large at first, but we lost one member on the first day due to sickness. Also only one of us had experience with unity and none of us ever made art before. This doesn't excuse everything of course, but I hope it can shine some light on the subject.

Thanks a lot!

Planetoid Piracy by RobotSoulsGames 2017-04-28T18:38:03Z

I would have loved to be able to play this more. This is my tag line.

The game looks awesome and deep, with a lot of content and fitting music. I'm sorry I couldn't test it more.

My problem was the keyboard layout. This is probably fitting for qwerty but I'm using an azerty and even by switching my keyboard layout on windows, I got confused by the key positions.

This is probably an easy fix to do after the jam though.

You also get an extra honorable mention to do it all from scratch in c#.

Planet Defenders by Myd10ose 2017-05-04T01:01:10Z

This is a very barebone game, a good framework for a game but it's missing some elements.

Don't get me bad, this feedback is here to help you later on. It's a good start and you just need to do a bit more to have a fun game.

My main complains is about the control, moving the shield around the world feels a bit off with the mouse. I don't know how to explain this.

The constant stream of asteroid speeding up is a good thing, but with a bit of variation, it would feel much more fun. For instance, you could have some mini pause to allow the player to "rest" followed by a much faster phase and then a pause. Not just making the speed faster and faster but different.

The lack of sound makes the impact between the asteroid feel empty. I know there is no sound in space but it could help :)

I managed to make about 55 points. I like your art style thought, the planet is very nice and looks interesting.

Overall, a good proof that you are able to make game.

Thanks for this entry!

Chuck and Bull by CheesyMoo 2017-05-04T01:23:04Z

This is a very good technical proof of a game, but for me lack one key ingredient.

I didn't find any challenge or anything extra to do once I planted my seed and interact with some random objects.

However, this game looks very good, the graphic and sound design are very nice. It reminded me of stardew valley, a game I loved and played a lot last year.

I was sad I couldn't do more, but this proof the game was good as I wanted more.

Arrows in Orbit by Stoemason 2017-04-28T19:23:21Z

This game is super easy to handle, the movement are very good and once I got used to it, it gave me a real feeling of control.

The music and the graphics are really good, I liked the voxels characters, but apparently their are stock asset beside their weapons.

I really had a lot of fun trying to survive in this game. It is captivating and give you a feeling of constant danger when arrow are flying everywhere.

However, I would have love maybe more variety in the enemy. I feel that the game could wear out and become repetitive after a while. But this would be easy to fix in a post LD version.

The only reason I stopped playing this was the time, it was 4 am and I had to sleep :)

Good work!

Cubic Explorer by glitchy-pixel 2017-05-01T14:19:36Z

A very good exploration game with random goals and stats!

The marugen is also a very nice feature here, we can see the potential of that kind of generation. The music helped a lot setting the atmosphere of the game.

I had some issue passing the door as I would have love being able to enter a door from the back of it, and sometime I just didn't wanted to enter a door and did it anyway.

Maybe adding a button press to interact with the door could be a good idea.

I was also sometimes confuse due to the lack of information the game give you, for instance for the "good" and "bad" boxes, it's unclear what are the real effect of them without an explanation text poping up in the ui.

Overall, a very enjoyable game! Congratulations

Slightly Angry Max by Takusan 2017-04-28T14:28:57Z

A lot of humour in this one, and my favourite part is that it doesn't infringe any registered TM :p hehe.

Nicely done wave survival shooter. There is a lot of challenge here, and I'm saying this as a good point!

Dying only give the opportunity to the player to retry and improve.

The only change I would suggest, is to add a walk speed power-up. Movement is sometimes slow and it's hard to escape hoards of enemies, this is a good thing, but having the opportunity to pick up a speed crate and run away would be nice.

Antnator by sachos345 2017-04-28T18:47:58Z

This is a very cool platformer with a good challenging gameplay and nice art style.

I had a lot of fun playing it and trying to optimise my bullet used per enemy :)

If I have one comment, it would just be that some platforms are decorative only and can confuse at time. It would have been nice to change the colour of decorative platforms or make them a bit transparent.

I had a really fun time playing this game! Thanks a lot.

AaaRrr - Fight epic battles on our small (and flat) world by Hackschnitzel 2017-04-28T18:33:27Z

A local multiplayer game I tried to play alone. Controlling both boats at the same time really confused me. So much that I even forgot to share the game screen on the stream for a while.. hehe

This game perfectly fit the theme: a very very small world! And you have to fight to stay on it. The music is also awesome and add a lot to the ambience!

I would have love a single player version too, but I understand it would have been hard to code an AI for one of the boats in the limited timeframe of LD.

Seven Pillars by Jeremy Ryan 2017-05-01T15:39:48Z

A very well crafted game with a unique art style and interesting game play!

I was a bit confused by the keyboard at first having a "french-be-point-AZERTY laptop keyboard" but switching the keyboard layout to QUERTY in windows made the game playable if not we forget the issue of angled num-keys vs not angled num-keys.

However, despite the keyboard issue at first, once I understood the concept and it fit in my brain, I was able to play fairly good.

It is really funny and immersive to move the hands from left to right on the keyboard each time the player jump pillars.

I wish there was a progression or a goal in the game thought.

Thanks a lot for this game, it was super cool to play :D

Tiny Terraformer by Wheffle 2017-04-28T18:06:22Z

Amazing game! I really loved it. It has a very good tutorial, this is often overlooked.

Seeing the cloud forming up in the atmosphere as well as the vegetation growing around is sooo cool :)

The player character was not an issue for me, it really gave a perspective on the size of the world and fit the theme.

I also really enjoy the writing on the score screen. A relaxing experience I advice you to try

NO STEP ON HYOOMINS by makenai 2017-05-01T15:06:57Z

A wonderfully simple concept with great implementation. This game is challenging as those dam Hyoomins seems to really want to die :)

The art style is polished and the controls are very easy to use. I was a bit confuse by the score system at first.

There is also bonus point for the dev sharing the code! Thanks a lot for that.

I had a lot of fun playing it and also finding emergent game play trying to kill them all.

Cosmic Cleaner by Burgee 2017-05-01T12:00:41Z

A really fun space-golf game with the life of millions at stake :)

It's great to have games with a lot of levels and game mechanics slowly introduced to the player, good work on that. It really makes this game a challenge that has to be taken step by step.

The sound and music are very nice as well.

Overall this is a very relaxing game with a good level of challenge and a lot of content!

MITOA by xmatos 2017-04-28T13:53:37Z

The first game I played on stream and it was great! A good mix of platformer and puzzle game, with very nice art style.

Music and sound design improved a lot the ambience of the game. The small world theme was perfectly applied on this was with a twist: the world loops around.

The only thing I would improve is a better understanding of where the apple can go. I got stuck at a point but thanks to the help of the dev, I managed to complete the challenge!

Star keeper by Alexandr AndroidDev 2017-04-28T13:20:19Z

Beautiful game with incredible retro style art style and sound design. This remind me a lot of Prince of Persia, the first one. It took me a while to figure out that the flower growth was the objective, I understood it as a score tracking system without UI at first. Overall, the game is a very nice and cute chill experience.

ARR World by Simon Rahnasto 2017-04-28T14:23:27Z

Aaaarr Mates!

Let's wet the old boat and sail the seas! This is a superb game with an amazing art style. You have to manage your own pirate boat O_o by hiring crew, buying boulder for your cannon and planks to repair.

Then go on the sea and hunt three different faction with increasing difficulty.

The management part of the game has a real impact on the abilities of your ship, from manoeuvrability to fire power!

The music is great, the art is great and the gameplay is great! Aaaarr! Good work mates.

Tub-Fun: to the rescue by Cedro_Gomez 2017-04-28T13:48:59Z

This game is a awesome addictive game where failing is not frustrating. The control as so good that when I die, I know it's my fault and I'm pushed to try again and try to do better.

The art style and sound design are also fitting and very good.

Just beat the game!

What I liked:

- Great graphics - Great sounds - Funny gameplay and dialog - High production quality

What I disliked:

- A bit too easy - Soo much text floating everywhere, I didn't had time to read everything - The clipping of the character make me stuck to often on the corner of walls and item, there can be improvement there.

That was really cool to play, thanks and great job!

The Empire's Fall - EstrelSteel by EstrelSteel 2017-08-01T01:35:46Z

I just played about 10 round of this game. Seeing the main picture and the description, I was like: Yheaaa a strategy game.

But this page is misleading :) I ended up playing a boat game collecting black dot on a sea. I don't think this download is the correct one, the zip is named TreadureHunter-v1.zip

If this is the correct game:

- The mine only moved in the tutorial, in the real game they never moved, is this a bug? - The size of the screen is so small, I guess this increase the challenge but it's also a bit disturbing.

The good point is that apart from the mine bug, everything works fine and the controls are easy to handle. I also liked the quality of the boat sprites.

Game of Cows by greysphere 2017-07-31T20:01:34Z

At first, the help screen was overwhelming to me. But I tried the game, and the game itself made more sense ^^

I got 44 coins when winter arrived, but not enough for a tv :(

What I enjoyed:

- After a few days of playing I understand to mechanic of the game well enough to enjoy it and want to reach the end. - The graphics and music a fitting well the atmosphere of the game. - Farming and growing cows! Yheaaaa :D - High quality coding, no bug at all - Good intuitive UI

What I disliked a bit:

- The locked windows resolution, the game was very small on my computer, and resizing the windows cause the game to crop the top and bottom of the map - The help screen, I feel you could split the help screen in multiple page, so it's not all at once, and the player knows where to look first. - I didn't understand why I was loosing money each day, but I guess that's life

Overall this is a really cool game! Thanks and good work!

Just tried the game.

What I liked:

- The graphics are gorgeous - Amazing sounds and atmosphere

What I disliked:

- I didn't have a sense of purpose, what are my goals, is the asteroid field infinite or can I escape? I tried to run away from the field too, just for fun, nothing happened, I got lost in the void.

I think just adding a score based on the progression on the field may solve that issue.

YOU MUST RUN OUT OF POWER by jorjordandan 2017-07-31T19:34:21Z

The twist on the theme is really clever. Unfortunately the game is far too easy and short.

I managed to succeed at my second attempt and run out of power, as well as game play.

But disregarding the shortness of the game, I had fun :) The music and sound are fitting, but may have drove me mad if the game was longer.

I agree also that the controls are hard-ish but that's what makes the game good.

Good work ;)

Hello @Rikoclon

Thanks for the comment. Just to clarify, Carcasone gameplay is totally different from Thirst. The only similarity is building the map with tiles. (But that can be said from a classic puzzle too).

Carcasone is a multiplayer strategy game where you try to control more territory then your opponents. Thirst is a survival rogue-like single player game.

Thanks everyone for all your great comments!

@daneestar to use the garbage, just drag & drop a tile/card onto it :)

@antti-haavikko

* The first picture doesn't seem to be a bug to me, both tiles need to not have wall connecting them so they can connect, not just one

* I have never seen the second bug, what browser do you use. Webgl is sometimes a bit weird, I wonder if any other person had the issue? Do you also have a zoom on your browser?

* I really like your idea of starting the game with smaller map, that would have been a great addition, but with the short amount of time, if was hard to fit it in.

As a side note, the scanner meter could have been explained better in the tutorial.

It indicate to the player "how far" the exit is, if the needle point to the left side, the exit is on the other side of the map, if the needle point to the right side, you are just next to the exit. A good way to use it is to use it once, then move a few tiles and use it again, you'll then see if you are getting closer of futher from the exit.

@antti-haavikko Maybe it was a bug changing the 2 from a T when you had it in your had to what it is there. It looks more like a Up-Left Tile (UL) on this screen instread of a ULR (T shape). Indeed 3 is (from what I see) at least a ULR (T shape), if not a ULDR tile (crossroad). 3 would allow you to build 1, but would not connect if 1 doesn't have a down connexion.

We should probably have forbidden the construction of a tile without connection, but time didn't let me work on that.

First of all, I was confuse by your download link titled "source code". You should probably change it to "windows" in the dropdown.

I play this game until the end.

What I liked:

- The building art style is super cute - I had a lot of fun playing it and destroying everything around. - I like the city spread - Unlock bigger bomb is exiting

What I disliked:

- I got stuck on a building when it grow on top of me - Sometimes the controls can be a little tricky. - The character art didn't really match the city

Overall I had fun, thanks :)

@antti-haavikko Hey! Yes indeed this game would work perfectly on my AZERTY layout. But it's not that sad, even with an alternate layout the game doesn't require much dancing around the keyboard so it was not a big issue.

A lone crewman by Kornel 2017-08-01T01:26:19Z

Ho nooooo, I failed, again :p

What I liked:

- The controls are really easy to handle - The game doesn't need a tutorial, everything is very obvious - There is a sense of emergency and we have to keep running all around

What I disliked:

- I wish the map was visible even when not at the navigation console, I know this is breaking the ludo narrative but... it would make the game much more enjoyable for me. (The map can turn off when the map room doesn't have power) - Activating modules required me to use the mouse to click on a button. the led my movement hands away from the keyboard and cost me precious time. An alternate key to push the button would solve that (like hit enter?)

Overall this was a well polished game.

Long Live The Pig by CTTFOW 2017-08-03T16:16:37Z

Awesome game! Loved it, it make me think of Rogue State, less complex but much more beautiful. (Less complex is normal due to the time frame)

What I liked:

- The game-play (obviously) - The graphics are of extremely high quality - The music fit the mood

What could be improve:

- I would have prefer to have the number of my support per faction always visible on screen, I kept forgetting them and had to open multiple times the newspaper per day - The text displaying the approval/disapproval of each policy should be more clear to read. This can be as easy as adding a tab after the ':'

``` Worker: mild disapproval Corporation: high approval Fundamentalist: mild approval Young: Extreme disapproval ```
becomes
``` Worker: mild disapproval Corporation: high approval Fundamentalist: mild approval Young: Extreme disapproval ```

- Some UI improvement like the previous one, like making sure that the faction are always listed in the same order (not sure if that's already the case)

But all of theses sight issues don't remove from the greatness of the game! Congratulation, this is a gem.

I'm a A* algorithm :D

This is a cool concept, and a nice use of the theme.

What I liked:

* The increasing difficulty * The increasing amount of tiles on a map * The relaxing music

What could be better:

* Your resolution is fixed, making the game super small on my screen. * The sound on/off button is a bit slow to react * A nice addition would be to allow keyboard wasd / arrow key to move

This is a good start, congratulation.

I tried surviving a few time but... run out of power.

What I liked:

- The graphics are very nice - Moving around feels natural, you can even "hang" on the side of platform

What I disliked:

- The power supply is running far too quickly, this makes the game very hard to play. - Picking up extra battery doesn't seems to give you much power, but this may be because it runs out fast. - You don't need an installer for an unity game, just zip the files and provide them as is. It's turns people away to have to install a program, and it's unnecessary steps. (I know just a few click but if you have to review 5000 games it adds up)

What an hectic game! I wasn't able to survive until the end, lack of oxygen...

What I liked:

- Very fast paced run all around gameplay - Exciting - Nice GTA 1 style top down view - easy and fast controls

What I disliked:

- Confusing beginning, the tuto screen is not explaining much. - WASD forced, I have an AZERTY keyboard. You could also map the arrow keys in your case to avoid that issue. (I played web, maybe the windows version allow re-mapping) - Too fast scrolling text. I'm not an native english, I don't read as fast as you do in that language.

But overall I had fun! Good work!

Today I learn :)

I never had to encounter symbolic and / or gates but with a bit of practice I was able to go far in the game.

The keybinding is weird for me though, playing on AZERTY, I'm happy this was not too much an issue as the game doesn't force you to rush once you encounter a gate. A remapping option would have been great, or an alternate key on the numpad: 1234

Thanks for the game!

I really love the mood of your game, even though you didn't make the graphics, you chose very good ones for this.

At first, I was a bit confused by my failures but I only failed at 1 people in the city. Once I understood I had to build houses quickly before that first guy show up, there was not much challenge anymore.

The hide/show inventory is a very good addition! I was thinking to myself "how will I put things there?" then I remember your blog post ^^

I'm also still not sure what is the difference between the people and the bed icon?

Overall, good job! For your second game in unity, it's great! Congratulation

@Mathiouza I thought about people with reading issues or dyslexia, I make typing mistakes all the time too. You can reduce the difficulty of the game to allow you to play.

In the start menu - control panel application, slide the "Simplicity" slider to something like 0.5 / 1.0. This will allow you to make mistake 1 letter out of 2. It start's at 0.85 so you have to be 85% accurate but if it's too hard, don't feel bad about changing it.

SPACE WARS: EPISODE 1 - BREAKING THE STICK by xk_the_name 2021-05-01T13:15:50Z

Hello xkoster!

Here is the link to the correct place in the video archive of our stream yesterday: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=IQdJ_KaE1bI&t=1267s

Thanks for being there :v:

This is a really really good game. Awesome low pixel graphics, great Sci-Fi story with nice choices. Very easy and satisfying action sequences.

The only thing we suggested to improve would be to add a bit more player interaction in-between large amount of text. As I re-watch the video, it doesn't have to be action scene, but it could just be more choices (even if they don't impact the outcome of the story)

Here is my end picture:

Congratulation!

Thanks for being part of the stream, yesterday was amazing!

It's a gamble to use a radically different graphical style and I applaud you for it. Unfortunately, it really hurt my eyes and I couldn't play super long. I tried on a smaller screen too and the issue was the same.

Too bad because I found the premise interesting and would have love to start planting breadcrumbs-tree around to go deeper and deeper until I find the perfect seed. (at least that's what I understood from the game)

I feel like your name @ancient-pixel is on point for this game!

As promise, I finally had time to play your game on stream :) Here is a link to the correct place in the video: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=Sx1MQ445u7k&t=9707s

What a impressive world building and a fun game mechanic. You made a very impressive game with really nice 3d art a cool game mechanic.

I don't have much to say except that I'm not sure I understand why the resolution needed to be 4 by 3. I guess this is an artistic choice on your part but the game would not loose any charm in full-screen and it would allow us to enjoy more your nicely decorated world.

This is not a major issue though, overall your game is amazing! Congrats.

Florida Simulator by Grogian 2021-04-29T00:42:49Z

Very nicely put together mini survival game. I didn't manage to beat it yet but I think I got pretty close! I will give it another try after a good night sleep.

I don't know why, but I kept thinking the orange where cookie and we were planting cookie tree until I read the comment here and it suddenly made sense ^^ I'm living in such a cold weather country that tree + orange colored circle didn't mean orange tree for me hehe. (not that cookie tree are more logical :p)

The game was super easy to get into, after my first death, I was able to understand perfectly how to play, it just took me an extra attempt to realize I could plant the branch to make a wood tree. This was the only not obvious part.

Fun game!

We played your game during our chill stream yesterday, here is the exact position in the video if you wish to watch us: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=IQdJ_KaE1bI&t=6236s

The visual style of your game is great! it really feels like a manga where you are the main character :smile_cat:

The audio is good, the story and choices are really fun. Just one thing confused us a bit, we were not sure if previous lies made to different character impacted the next encounter. (I don't know how to phrase it, but it make more sense in the video)

Congratulation!

@wheffle Hooo thanks, I spotted the issue now. There is a error in in initial "Tips" displayed on the computer screen. I will correct that as it's a very minor change that may be game breaking for the experience.

You need to type the text displayed on the screen first before pressing Enter.

Hehe Sorry to make to relive your post-workatic trauma

You instinctively nailed the difference of polish for each mini-game. The typing one was the one we spent the most time on, the printer one was a last day addition. We can feel the difference.

For the pathfinding: "I would maybe add a quick check to make sure your new destination and your old one are actually different ". I wish I had that clever idea during the jam. It would have solve many issues. Simple and effective

Thanks for the detailed feedback! This is really appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback @p0l4r ! In addition to what @burchyn already said about blockbench, here is my coder opinion. Blockbench only export in .obj and and .gLTF. Unity is not supporting any natively. I have an old custom import pipeline for .obj file in Unity that I used a lot and that works great but I wanted to have all packed into a single file (texture, model, animation). As a preparation for the jam, I searched how to import .gLFT into unity easily. I found this great github project that made 90% of the work: https://github.com/Siccity/GLTFUtility (there may be other that are better) I had to make some tweak to it to allow choosing which animation should loop on not before import, and some other minor things that are blurry for now. All my changes are available in: https://github.com/sboigelot/LD48/tree/main/Date%20Night/Assets/Plugins/GLTFUtility-master I will make a proper fork of the initial project with my improvements later. As a last tip, the package rename all cube without name with a random Guid during the import process. If you change the model and re-export the gLTF, this randomization of Guid will break the link between a newly re-imported prefab and your instance in your scene, making a real mess. I advice you to give a unique name to all cube instead of leaving the default 'cube' name. I will try fix that later in the importer. This will make more sense once you try blockbench.

But overall, the experience is super fun and easy. I hope this helps!

Hey @wheffle

I made a copy of our stream from yesterday on youtube if you wish to see us play again: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=KLwrzc7DkDo&t=12655s

Thanks for being part of the stream, yesterday was amazing!

Jupiter II is a very well crafted game, and an impressive achievement for a one person compo. The gameplay is simple but intuitive and captivating and fun. The player keep wondering what's next in the depth of this alien water world.

The game ramp up in difficulty nicely but doesn't become impossible, you achieved a nice balance.

Congratulations

I really enjoyed your game, it reminds me a lot of void expanse, in a good way

The controls are really good once I understood I could reverse hehe. I would love a slower progression on the pirates though, but I'm sure that with a bit more training I could survive longer.

Congratulation, really cool game!

Your game was

Deep Mine Ventures by PatrickRMC 2021-05-16T13:56:38Z

Even in the fixed version I managed to get soft lock, the jump was contently a few pixel too low to reach a way to go back to the dirt layer. Other than that, nice work. I like the graphics and audio.

Super fun game, I loved the physics, the game loop and the promotional poster straight out of old movie style. It may be a bit hard to realize that most object, in the foreground and background are not harmful. At first hand, I would assume that a shark with red eyes is dangerous to the diver, but no, it isn't.

We had a blast playing your game! thanks

Overall this is a good entry. I really enjoyed the low poly design, the flower lighting up as we pass them and the level design was pretty good too. I believe the control may have been hard to use sometimes but it was not a big issue. If I would improve one thing, but it's not obligatory, it would be to make the knife comes back to you after you throw it. I had to kill myself and restart the level sometimes to retrieve it.

Congratulation though, this is a platformer that I enjoyed, and going for a 2.5d design is not common! I liked it!

Unfortunately I downloaded the windows version and it seems that it doesn't contain tutorial. I played the webgl version later and managed to go much further by taking my time and clicking everywhere.

This game has great potential, I can see the greatness in the graphics, design, story line but the user experience is really hurting it. A few changes could make it much more user friendly:

(those are just suggestion, you may find better solutions)

- Not blocking the click on the bottom right corner of the screen to go futher in the story. Allow the user to click anywhere to proceed. - Not opening a drop-down menu when the player click on a world item that only has one interaction, just do that interaction. - Some text say sometime akind: "ok time go to the elevator" but another call on the walkies talkie is require before the elevator works. Ironing out false clue like this one could remove a lot of frustrations.

Sorry I didn't manage to go far in your game during the stream, I see the potential in it, but unfortunatly the ui beat me.

The gameplay is really nice and I'm sure we can come up with very interesting strategies and it can become very complex. The only thing I would suggest is to allow player to zoom on the card in the shop before buying them, it was a bit small to read for us and we had to rely on your description in this page to know what the card did.

Congratulation! This is really a cool game! :v:

Mineshaft by ditam 2021-05-04T01:09:17Z

@ditam another option could eventually be to implement the zoom feature on right click.

Right click to zoom on the card, left to buy / use.

The right click could then work on any card, not only the ones on the store, but the one in your hand as well.

The graphics looks very good, I really enjoy the details you added to every single sprite. The texture change on the platforms, the cheese waves on the pizza slices, etc. It's sooooo cute!

The game-loop is fun at the beginning but become repetitive after a few trips. I believe this could be improved just by reducing a bit the weight of each pizza slides so it would be easier to push more of them at a time. Sometimes I just wanted to have a huge stack of pizza and see them make a pizza avalanche.

But overall, very cool entry! The best entry with snails so far :smile_cat:

Really atmospheric game with a sense of danger contently lurking around the corner. I enjoyed the controls after a while as they felt correct for a barge/boat. The "find the item to unlock next part of the map" mechanic is good as well as it is not as simple as red card to red door. I enjoyed that the first wooden gate had to be open with a key and not with the axe.

Unfortunately I died without any opportunity for me to prevent it, as far as I know, in the first rapid torrent leading to a monster.

Really cool game, congratulation!

One of the best story/puzzle game I played. Very well put together. The story was the perfect length for a jam too, long enough to be complex and short enough to be completed and provide satisfaction.

The only things I would improve are:

The bloom on the portal is too much, the light from it was really blinding to see in the overall dark environment.

The voice over narration was really low for me, it would help greatly to add subtitle as you already have the tech present in your game. (some subtitle appear when you mouse over some items)

But overall, congratulation, this is an amazing game!

What a neat game! I really love it: the concept, the art-style and the variety of triggered action per words where awesome. It would have been even better for me if the text where organized in 4 columns book to avoid having to go left and right constantly to read the story. The random long pause to walk back to the beginning of the next line, combined with the possible distractions of words along the way make it harder to me to comprehend the sentences.

Here is an exemple of what I mean as it my explanation may not be clear in the video:

What a super cool and cute game! I really enjoyed it until the end! Sometimes I had issue throwing the grapling hook, I don't know if It's me not understanding a part of the mechanic, my mouse eating my right click or an issue with the webgl version. I know webgl may sometimes be capricious with repeated mouse click on chrome.

Your story is really fun, the graphics are really nice and cute, and the difficulty progression is fair but still challenging! Congratulation, this was really enjoyable :smile_cat:

What an impressive game, it's not frequent to see a 4x (or xxx in your case) game that also has very good graphics and audio.

I really enjoyed the mechanic overall, my video was on easy mode but I went back to the game and played the harder version with blockers later. I never even had to upgrade any spore in easy, but it became very handy in the hard mode.

This is really a cool game and I can see player trying to speedrun it to reach the best score. I would just adjust the goblin movement so they match the player, or adjust the player movement so they match the goblin. Turning should be 1 turn for both or 2 turn for both.

That would remove the only issue I can see in this game!

Congratulations!

The story is well done, each level feels different and brings new game mechanics. I love your character design, they are cute and creepy at the same time: great combo.

Sorry we didn't reach further than the second hour. Overall it's interesting, I was not frustrated while playing the platformer. It's a good sign, it means I was failling because of lack of skills and not because the game is unfair. Good balancing and level design.

I also really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music.

A small improvement could make the game could be much more compelling: when we wake-up we could restart at the current level instead of having to restart from the beginning of the dream. This would have help me a great deal to lean muscle memory and practice.

Good job!

What a nice well package litle narative game. I really enjoyed it.

The spacing between letters in the text made it super hard for me to read, maybe something related to dyslexia, but it could be fixed really easily.

Other than that, nice graphics, mostly in the waking up scene, and I enjoyed the way the story evolve naturally according to your actions instead of just dialog choices.

Congratulation! Very cool game

What a pretty game! I wish I could have explored this sunken ship without having to worry about my oxygen. Maybe you could consider a sandbox mode just to relax around.

I made the mistake, I presume, to not buy extra oxygen tanks as my first purchase, I think it doomed me. As said in the video, it would be a great addition, if the shop could give info on how much extra second each level of tank can provide.

Other than that, simple controls, nice athmosphere, but I wasn't able to understand anything about the voice speaking from time to time because there was too much distortion applied to it. Maybe it's by design.

Amazing entry in the jam! Congratulation

Unfortunately, we didn't manage to brew much. We were a bit confused and didn't know if we were trying wrong recipes or just brewing incorrectly.

If we were brewing correctly but with the wrong ingredient, I would suggest to add feedback to the player. Either by creating a 'failed brew' item that can be sold for 1 coin. or by just having a different text on screen.

Other than that, the graphics are nice and the hammer smash feels good.

I really like the concept of this game, it could be a great challenge. Unfortunately the control are really hard, well, at least without a good playground to try them properly first.

I believe your controls are actually good, but the level always start with very small corridor where your sub has to squeeze through. An experience player can probably pass them super easily but someone that never played the game won't be able to.

I think if you had a starting area with larger corridor, less obstacles, and slowly increased the difficulty, this game could be really rewarding for the player.

Good job!

Crust is a really, really impressive game for a game jam. If there was just a few more levels, I wouldn't have been angry to pay for this game on Steam.

The controls feels good and intuitive. The level design is fun and challenging at times. The graphic design is beautiful and polished

Honestly a 5 stars game for me! Congratulations.

Since I saw this game before the stream, it is in my to-play list. I really loved the concept and wanted to give it a try. I was not disappointed.

Your game is really relaxing while still providing challenge and a reason to come back. I love the progression as each skill improvement make a difference. In a way, we are seeing evolution in progress, each generation of tree adapting to its environment to thrive and grow bigger.

This is addictive. I really appreciate that it saved my progress and I could come back to it later too!

Congratulation, this is a great game!

Very good for your fist 3d game! Congratulation. We got lost a few times and didn't reach heaven but I'm sure with a bit more practice I could have done it!

As a small improvement, I would suggest to add more variety in your world texture to help the player locate where they are. It would help a lot.

I had the opportunity to play your game on stream :) Here is a link to the correct place in the video: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=Sx1MQ445u7k&t=14040s

Your will find my review in french in the video.

To resume it here in english: You had a really fun game, the character sprite is really cute and the controls are easy to use. It was a bit confusing to understand what is the benefit of picking up the power-up. I understood they value they changed in the ui but not what was the gameplay benefit of more mana. On a last note, the flashing background color could be a bit more pastel. It's nice to indicate the level of craziness of your character with a background that change color, but the colors you pick are too saturated and can bother the eyes a bit.

Overall, this was really fun, even though it was vey short.

I'm really impressed that you manage to make two completely different game during the jam. The first one a relaxing building/exploring experience, and the second one a chaotic fast and fun multiplayer shooter.

The overall mood and atmosphere of the game is really good, the controls are really crisp and easy to use. We didn't build much during the stream, but your game would allow for a lot a 2d creativity.

Very good games! Both of them. Congratulation.

I may have missed some major gameplay as I didn't go deeper than level 7. But overall, this is a very interesting and different entry. I think I will give it another try out of stream to be able to take my time, and find more interesting lore and jokes.

It's really cool to have managed so much in 48h, I just wish my in-game decision felt more impact-full. Maybe they are later in the game.

Finally a multiplayer game! I was waiting for one since I started testing! Thanks for that.

This is a fun take on 2 player fight.

It took me a while to understand the controls but once I got them, it was easy to use them.

I think the main point that confused me with them is the use of the same button to "reload a block" and to "shoot" but at the same time, it makes it easier to control once you understand the flow.

I don't know if there is an easy solution other than a better tutorial. Maybe you could not shoot when the long press on the G is shorter than a few milliseconds, to prevent accident premature shooting of block.

Overall, this was very fun! Fรฉlicitation ร  tous les deux!

The Shrinking by Rayo 2021-05-17T17:13:35Z

I finally found time to play your game since you proposed it a few days ago in my stream (Tobugis here)

It took me a long time to get used to the control and understand what was making me shrink and what was not making me shrink, I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the intro text.

This game is beautiful and has an amazing atmosphere. It reminds me a lot of inside, but less creepy :smiling_imp:

I feel that the jumping is a bit off, but I don't know how to describe it properly. Sometimes, according to my size, the animation was clearly allowing the character to jump on top of a platform, but the physic denied it and the character got stock on the side of the platform then felt. I don't know what cause it, it made the game harder to understand.

However, once I got used to the quirkiness of the controls, this was really fun.

A last suggestion of improvement, if you ever decide to continue this game: when you get very small, most of the screen become black and it's a bit hard to distinguish between what is the background and what are game objects. It may be interesting to step the gamma up a notch, or to add a setting to change it as ever player screen is different.

Other than that, amazing entry! Congratulations!

To answer the title: Hell deep is our love? Well, apparently not enough to survive until the bottom of Hell :smirk_cat:

However, even if I lost often, I didn't get frustrated as I understood it was my fault. Some platformer game are unfair, yours is fair and well crafted.

The only improvement I would suggest is to add an info about "wiggle left and right" to un-stun when a head touch you.

HELL deep is your love? by Villanelle 2021-05-02T23:46:52Z

@Villanelle

I tried your post-jam version, it is much better! congratulation.

Controls are much more crisp and feels great. I still feel that the hit box of the character is a bit big on his feet. Sometimes floating head would stun me while on a rope by barely touching (or not touching) the bottom of my shoes :)

Other than that, grabbing rope and ladder is super fun now, I did much better than on the live stream, but still got killed on the first spikes...

I wish the screen would follow me faster down when I know the map though, I spend most of my time waiting for the screen to reach me after restarting the same level. I don't know if there is a possible fix for that.

Overall it's a great improvement! Congratz

- Imzary was alone in front of an unknown theme of the LD48. When suddenly the revelation hit: Deeper and deeper. - Imzary started brainstorming. Searching ideas, going deeper. - In front of him was a powerup 2x: adding a super cool narative style - Imzary jumped and added it to his arsenal. - But he had to keep going, go longer in the night. - After a while, Imzary found a new powerup: the glowing eyes of simple, yet impactful, beautiful and effective graphics. - At the 40th hour, Imzary thought his journey was over. - But a new power up came about: enjoyable gameplay, smooth controls and good level design.

Congratulation on this game, I really enjoyed it! I feel that the camera could be a tiny bit zoomed out, sometime the player has to make "leap of faith" and hope there is a platform in the direction of the next jump.

The narrative style is amazing at the beginning, but could be improved for the second half of the game.

Congratulation, this is really impressive for a 48h game

What a nice game! It was fun to play, the control were nice and as a player bad at platformers, I really enjoy your generosity with checkpoints.

The game is really dark though, a bit too dark. I think you could tweak the size of the emission of the torchlight or the light circle around the player without it affecting too much the gameplay.

The control of the torchlight could also follow the mouse, regarding of the facing direction of the player, this would make it much more usable.

But theses are small nitpick ^^ Congratulation!

Overall this game is very good! The graphics are nice and all fit together well. I felt the vacuum mechanic could be improved, sometimes it wasn't working for me and it was not obvious if it was my fault for not understanding where to stand to vacuum, or the web version of the game not registering my clicks properly.

I really like the progression, but I'm slow so I coudn't enjoy a lot of the upgrade. The price are steep!

The Mines by Izzo 2021-10-18T06:51:53Z

Great atmosphere in this game. The sound, the double ticking timers of oxygen and fuel, the constant darkness and danger of the ghost, my heart was beating faster than expected.

Alas, I didn't survive and and unfortunate alt-tab crashed the game for me. It really a cool concept.

I would suggest to add an animation when the player "swing" the pickaxe on the air or on a wall not dig-able. I was confused at the start if my mouse click was working or not.

I really wanted to succeed in this game, but I'm not sure if there is an issue with my mouse input or if I don't understand something obvious.

I tried to sling cube and it worked, sometimes. My sling are either very small, as if the cube was extremely heavy or very big as if the cube was very light.

I manage to land one or two cube in the middle but there may be an issue related to my mouse sensibility, screen resolution or something else.

Very cool gameplay, it keeps the player alert constantly.

I barely managed to make 800ish points :/ not enough to be in the leaderboard. The things that gets me most of the time is jumping over rocks: I land just after the rock, and the I guess hitbox of the character collide with the hitbox of the rock and makes me loose. Testing for a pixel perfect collision may reduce the frustration felt by the player at that time.

I had a lot of fun, thanks for this game

I really like the pun in this one

The gameplay was fun and super cute. I love your dog sprite ^^ As many say here, it becomes a bit repetitive after a few levels. However, it is nothing that a few change in level design can't solve.

You could maybe add walls in the stable, danger area where the sheep may get damage etc; a different color of sheep that react differently?

Congratulation though, it's a really fun concept.

"The story of my Fellowboat was an epic one.

Unfortunately, after many Battles, after many songs sang at the foot of campfires, many prayers and a few charismatic recruitment, the Fellowboat was defeated.

The third king army was too big of a challenge without proper rest, and our dear heroes, exhauster, semi insane, thirsty and sleepy, couldn't succeed.

The kingdom shall be saved, but not today. Not today...."

You game is really easy to understand, I didn't read any of this page beforehand and just jumped into it blind. After all I was elected to lead, not to read. As this is the kind of game I am used to, I felt at home. This is not a brag, but a testimonial of the clarity of your user interface.

I felt I had to stop too often to take care of the many needs of my army, and didn't really understand how to prevent loosing reputation by doing so. However, I assumed this was more due to a lack of time during the jam and that the game needs more balancing, but it may also be me not understanding something.

This is really polished, with a very nice sound track, a good gameplay loop and a lot of complex design. Congratulation! I loved it <3 Very impressive in 3 days.

Is this relaxing or stressful? Who knows, it's fun for sure

I really enjoyed the match 3 mechanics but I think I would need a lot of training to excel. My top score was ~230.

The controls are nice and reactive, maybe a bit too much rotation momentum conservation (if that makes sense). I was expecting my rotation to slow down by itself without requiring input on my side; but that may just be me.

The sound design is awesome as well, great entry!

Never worry about not managing to finish a game. Making a game is really hard and managing to make anything is already a victory.

Do you have a game here? No, you lack some crucial elements in it to be called a game. Should you be sorry for it? No! Of course not, be proud of what you achieve and strive to do more next time.

Good effort!

....To the Ends of the World and Back by Peace Of Cake Games 2021-10-18T06:23:44Z

We made it!

It was a nice relaxing experience. The dialog between Grace and Andrew reminded me a bit of my time playing Firewatch. I really enjoyed listening to the casual dialog in that game and I enjoyed reading it here too.

The text has an issue for me, I'm a bit dyslexic and the space between each letter is very large, almost as large a the "space" between words. This force me to focus a bit more to read the text and reduce the relaxing aspect of your game.

The dialog was also a tiny bit slow as I didn't had much to do in the game. I'm sure this will not be an issue if you added a few extra task around the spaceship.

Really cool short story! Congratz

Hey Ethreal! As you know from discord, I came back to your game the day after our stream with Bu and played it to the end! The place we got stuck during the stream was really the hardest for me. The next hardest was the last 2 saw before the end where you have to squeeze between the roof and the saw.

I really loved Boat History, it's a great game, a great mix between relaxation and stress. Great entry overall!

Wacky Gravity: An Unstable Ludum Dare 49 Entry! by Maximus 2021-10-18T06:05:10Z

This game was really complicate for me to handle, but I had fun.

At the beginning I didn't understand what was killing me. Touching the yellow box I suppose? My incomprehension is due to the delay between touching the yellow box and dying. The delay is a tiny bit too long and it prevented me to corelate the action to the result.

The gravity changing is a nice touch and the audio is really good.

Crumble by foxtrot-roger 2021-10-09T12:45:23Z

This platformer was really fun! I was hoping for more levels as I was really starting to get in a groove with the explosive barrel and moving block flying around on the beat of the music.

This was really easy to handle, at no point in time where I died I thought it was unfair and my fault.

It took me a few try to realize that there was exploding barrel outside of the dotted border, maybe you could have added an extra dotted border / or a wall around the whole level to make it more clear?

It's hard to explain with words, so here is a picture:

@TheSmellofOxygen Hooo sorry for your issue, I think you stumble upon an edge case I didn't take into consideration: starting a map without any unit, you will not be able to start the timer of the map indeed. I will have to fix that.

For the mothership purchase, they probably worked but they take two in game days to be delivered. It may not be obvious as a small percentage of player do not understand this mechanic out of the box. I have a better solution to convey the information to the player and I may implement it in a future version

What a amazing game, it's really hard to make a turn based strategy game for a jam but you succeeded!

Your game is really easy to pickup and understand, it is very intuitive.

I would have loved an option to go Fullscreen as your game can not be resized and it's very small on my desktop.

Probably if a user fail a boss a few time the game should send a few "non-boss" enemy to allow the player to catch up.

Other than that, amazing incremental game and good use of the theme! I really like your cute art too, good job!

Cap Sized by LarsDu 2023-10-08T12:02:06Z

Yheaaa I am a CAPITALIST PIG too :pig:

For a learning exercise in Godot, you did great! The game had a easy gameplay loop with interesting decision making. I wish I had to press a button to unload survivor on the ladder as often it was unclear to me what was the trigger for it.

PS: Beside the game itself, you should set your game as free on itch at least during the testing period. It can become very tedious to have to click hundred of times "No thanks just take me to the download" to test your game. I push over it this time but I know many people will just not bother with the extra click and will just skip to the next game in their queue.

Orbital Meltdown: Death by Laser Beneath the Naked Sun by UkuleleFury 2023-10-07T16:19:51Z

I have a quite good laptop: RTX 3060, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 16 GB RAM

However your game lag A LOT on my machine. Either that or you have so much motion blur that it is unplayable for me.

Let me know if you make an updated version with a "toggle low settings and motion blur off" button and I will be happy to try it again as this seem super fun to play!

Ad Space by fisher2470 2023-10-11T10:50:33Z

What an amazing game! I really enjoyed it!

It's so fun to organize the newspaper and see the effect of each story and the impact we have on the community.

I found two very minor issues, on that allowed me to "cheat" and one that is just visual:

* It is possible to place an ad partially outside of the newspaper from the bottom and the game still consider it as valid * Some numbers could be rounded to 2 decimals

Screenshot 2023-10-11 124558.png

PS: it's not always clear for me why a news is highlighted green sometimes even when I moved it out of the newspaper

Nice concept. I had some trouble moving around, I got stuck a few times on the fences and once I felt in the waters and didn't re-appear anywhere until the boat reached the destination docks.

Overall the game was a bit too hard for me so I often made 0 score but it looked nice and I like your choice of music, it really helped with the chill mood.

100 MB by Null1233 2023-10-07T22:25:42Z

Good start of a game. It's great that you decided to emulate a small OS with limited amount of space, really cool concept.

I don't know how but I manage to get this size:

Screenshot 2023-10-08 002032.png

It's unfortunate that you didn't get the chance to create other clients as just having the task to change description to the opposite is a bit tedious once you did it for a few minutes.

I think if you had a few different clients and more complex task, with more time to execute each of them, it could become really a fun simulation.

Cosmic Caster by Whysper 2023-10-07T22:03:13Z

I think I must draw letter very differently then you do. Most of my letters are not recognised or end up being the fire spell.

I was drawn to your game by the concept, I really love the idea of drawing on the screen to cast spell.

However, as I was not able to cast many of them, I am not the best to give an opinion.

The only things I could say are:

- Your menu button are light green text on white background, this is really hard to read for me - The normal game difficulty ramp up quick - I think it would help a lot to add some feedback when the enemy takes damage (for instance just blinking them red)

Very chill "destroy all the nature" game.

My first island spawned with a native village on an isolated tile with no adjacent tiles (just on a diagonal from the main landmass). This prevented me to have 100% of native "relocated' and was quite frustrating as the random generation of the land was preventing me to complete my goals.

But honestly, it's a minor issue in what is overall an very polished entry!

Congratulation on your first jam! This is really a fun game.

It was unclear at on my first try for me that I needed to send the parcel with the same number as the one shown in the "List of parcel to be sent" but once this clicked for me it was a pleasure to play.

Your controls fits what I feel driving a forklift would be.

Unfortunately I lost a few times after getting stuck because I picked-up a big package and couldn't drop it anymore to take it on a better angle.

Overall, this was a great entry!

@forik Awesome! Thanks a lot, the low quality version works like a charm and looks exactly the same to me.

What did you change? (just so I can spread the info around to other with the same issue on Unreal?)

I manage every challenge super quickly and finished the game in 5 min this time instead of getting stuck all at the first real challenge. What a wonderful relaxing experience.

Did I spend far too much time playing your game? Yes Do I regret it? No!

What a amazing and fun game. I really enjoyed it. Some strategy are a bit OP and the units may need some balance but this is so great for a Jam game, it's almost at the level of a sokpop game for instance.

This was a top game for me :)

I really love that your game is easy to understand yet hard to master.

@vladez32 @yoanntsitionis

Thanks a lot for the crash report and for playing Fry Quest  :potato:

I assume you played the web version, I saw that sometimes the Godot 4 crashed the browser when itch.io frame is setting is full screen by default. I changed the setting, it shouldn't crash anymore I hope.

@josep-valls

I am so sorry about that, this is the harder mini game in the game and I do not know what is happening for you. Do you use a mouse, a track pad or a phone?

You can skip it the worthiness challenge using the cheat code: CTRL+ALT+DOWN-ARROW, use it a few times until the you are on the next screen.

Sammich by ColeSlaughter 2024-10-10T00:33:20Z

Amazing entry! I'm so impressed by the level of polish you achieved here. From the intro cartoon with animations, to the crazy deep yet intuitive gameplay and a leaderboard!

This was super cool to play on stream and I will try to come back and beat NotTobugis score :)

Age of Honey by LuckyFeathers 2024-10-10T13:15:34Z

The hive must grow!

I really enjoyed Age of Honey, making and RTS in a Jam is amazing and you managed to make something that is super easy to use, beautiful and full of fun voice acting for the bees!

I had some issues with the selection of the Hive and the Bees:

- when zoomed out, it is possible to select the Hive and right click on the map to change the "move to" order of new bees but the UI to spawn new bees and upgrade the hive doesn't appear on the bottom of the screen. I had to unselect the hive, zoom in and select it again - when box selecting bee, it would have been nice to have a control to select only one type of bee from the selection. Or maybe CTRL-box = select only soldier - at the end, I wasn't able to click on the hive anymore, and the bear killed me. One of the bear managed to reach the hive and prevented me to click it, therefor I couldn't spawn new soldier to fight back.

But honestly, this is a real gem :honey_pot:

Untitled.png

Edit: Oh, and I think the hive shoudln't be a red dot on the mini map - only enemies should be red. Maybe a yellow dot?

No, my creatures! by rhewid 2024-10-10T00:50:11Z

Sorry it was a bit of a mess when we tried your game on stream. I hope you had the opportunity to understand a bit my feedback in between all the meta-discussions.

I really enjoyed your game and only stop playing because it was past 1 AM here. Overall you did an amazing job, and the fact that this is a compo is the cherry on the cake!

I think that most of my feedback are already implemented in the post-jam version so I won't duplicate them here.

The only one that is left is: you could improve your "Current Weapon" vs "Collided weapon" UI, it is a bit too wordy and confusing for a player like me.

But I will come back and try to beat your after having slept a bit! It was a ton of fun!

Shadow of the itty-bitties by Kaish 2024-10-10T00:38:17Z

Super fun mini game, squashing bugs something super satisfying in this game.

I really enjoyed playing it on stream, but I wouldn't be able to finish the last level without the help of @burchyn

There seems to be a delay between the keyboard press and the clap, and I was not able to synchronize it my head. (But that's probably a me issue)

I would tone down the flickering of the screen in that last mini game too, as the large amount of light colours + flickering contributed to me having a difficult time.

However, it was really fun to play, and the ending was really funny! Thanks a lot! :bug: :butterfly: :boot:

Flea Circus by Adam Konig 2024-10-10T00:43:19Z

Congratulation on you entry, I really enjoy playing it on stream. It is a super fun game and great concept.

You made me smile and laugh at the crazy flee jumping around a wining me money.

The shop UI could be a bit better, it was hard to read the font on a small text and I was lucky to see the scroll bar at the bottom.

Bug Squad by fabula_rasa 2024-10-10T00:16:17Z

I had a blast playing your game on stream, like every LD jam!

Once again, you manage to make a super interesting game, with beautiful graphics and high level of polish. It was really fun, challenging yet achievable.

The only thing I would change is: when you die and restart the level, the game should bring the player to the "acorn customization screen" instead of directly to the combat screen. :chestnut: :chestnut: :bug:

Small Sands by zimny11 2024-10-10T21:33:15Z

Great compo!

I was really confused by the scroll speed and the small size of the viewport. Then I activated my brain and realised your game is zoom dependent on the browser.

Have a look: z1.png z2.png z3.png

From 120% to 80%, the best zoom option for me was about 105% In Godot 3.5, for 2d game exported in WebGL, the best way to avoid this is to set the Project Settings > Mode to 2d and Aspect to Keep zg.png

Other then that, I had fun, it's a fun relax game and showing your stock on item in the building is a great addition to have less UI

BoroPoro by Pomo 2024-10-10T00:21:18Z

Attention!

This game is really fun and easier to control then the LD page pretend!

If you think that's something you will not enjoy, please consider giving it a try anyway because it is super fun!

I normally hate that control scheme but really felt this implementation was cleaner and fairer than any other game of the same genre I played in the past.

It is super fun to swing around, capture creature and bring them to our own cave!

My only complain, please have a visual representation to differentiate when I grab or not with a hand, that would be 5000 times easier for my poor dyslexic brain.

It was really fun to play, yet challenging at times. Great job!

Grablin Battle Festival by HaaYaargh 2024-10-10T00:46:10Z

This game needs more people to play it! It's a really fun gem and I enjoyed playing it on stream a lot!

Extremely cute graphics, chaos and violence, what else would we need?

The visual difference between each unit type (sword, pike, archer) was sometimes hard for me to see in the chaos, as suggested, I would assign on time of hat per class to make it clearer.

But that's didn't stop me to play the whole game and have a lot of fnn!

Window Creatures by Ategon 2024-10-10T00:30:59Z

Great job on this entry! I really enjoyed playing it on stream and if only the background transparency worked on my laptop I would have it running now, I will check my driver update when I wake up :id:

I really see potential in a game that can be played in the background when working, with a tiny bit more mechanic and a slower pace, this could be an amazing idle game to have while coding!

The art is really cute too!

Personality test by kanity 2024-10-10T00:57:47Z

@kanity your game reflect the energy and passion that you show all around. The amount of work, design, voice over, poem and talent you display is really amazing!

I had a lot o fun on stream watching @burchyn plays and then speed-running your game to find my own spirit-bug.

I also would like to thank you as part of the community, when writing my feedback on multiple games today, I saw that you posted a detailed feedback on many of them, if I could give you a gold-pin award I would!

Thanks a lot for making this quiz and being wholesome!

Frogi by JEMH2K 2024-10-10T20:25:03Z

Relaxing indeed! :) The music really helps to set the mood, if it was with a higher bpm and different instrument, this game could be super stressful without changing the gameplay at all, this shows how important setting the tone is!

I didn't have any issue with the embedded version on this ld page, in case you wonder if it is still an issue.

Great job for a compo! I was impressed by the sliding background at the beginning of the game.

Mission: Runaway by LouieWu 2024-10-10T13:30:26Z

Very neat puzzle game, I really enjoyed some of the levels, you have some clever level design where you have to turn around the same islands a few times, it was really cool.

The game really lack a "undo" button to go back one step back, restarting from the beginning every time I get stuck can be frustrating, I am more of an experimenter then a planner in that kind of Sokoban like games. I like to try think and see if they work in a tactile way before having to think and plan.

I also had some trouble reading this text: Untitled.png

Don't what? :)

But you did great, it was super fun to play your game and your design are really cute.

SurviFarm by arzi 2018-04-24T15:22:50Z

Congratulation on this entry! It's really a solid game.

The positives:

* very good graphics * good music supporting the athmosphere * easy to pick-up and play

The less positives:

* If I would change something is the use of 'v' to use a tool. It's in the middle of the keyboard for me and a bit out of reach of any hand. Maybe right click? * Is there an ability to remove an miss placed wall? I didn't manage * The hunger netter goes down a bit too fast when sleeping. I didn't understand at first that I had to click R again to wake up and end up dying twice.

Overall a very cool game!

I scored 53, probably not very high though...

The positive:

* Clean and simple design * Easy interface, on I took the time to read the text on the page though ^^ * Challenging and difficulty ramping up at a good pace

The less positive:

* The selected knigh arrow is not very obvious, maybe you can change the color of the one selected, or box him with an outline? * Fullscreen on html5 is not working perfectly

Good game! Congratulation

Citizenship++ by Andrew Castillo 2018-04-24T10:11:19Z

The console feeling and sound are amazing! The best console I typed in since a long time, you should release a version of your UI and pipe the input to the command line :)

The start is really, really slow though. It took me so much connect scan disconnect list to find enough alpha.. I think you should speed up the beginning of the game by making the initial shop buy cheaper.

A Tale of Two Towers by Articulated9 2018-04-24T08:59:18Z

A very fun game to play!

The positive:

* fun concept * a lot of immersion * nice (in a retro style) artwork

The less positive:

* A bit slow paced * Sometime hard to remember what are my options. Maybe adding an HELP command that display just all the options in one line.

The questions:

* Do I also have to type in caps? I think the game didn't recognize lower case orders, triggering me to push caps-lock.

Overall a cool relaxing game with interesting gameplay! Good work!

Tip: You should avoid providing your game with an installer, a zip of your folder should be enough. We will test hundred of games sand it may be tiresome to install/uninstall all the time.

Elemento by Togis 2018-04-27T01:02:18Z

@Raphiell That's an excellent idea, I will be sure to implement it if I improve this game in the future (things I wish to do and hope to have time to do)

Highway Trouble by Code Dream 2018-04-24T09:52:44Z

The windows version worked for me. But you put a zip in a zip so we have to de-compress twice, but it's worth it :)

The positive: * Very relaxing * Good looks and aestetics * Simple game play but not boring

The less positive: * Just when the minigame ends, the collide is de-activated on the player I guess, and it happens a lot that other car ghost trough the player car. * Showing the control in-game may be nice, just a text on the top for a few seconds when the game start.

A very good entry! good work

Rogue Crush by Team Catwheel 2018-04-24T11:23:13Z

Just one more turn!

the positives: * Very intuitive interface * Nice graphics * fitting sound

the negatives: * it took me time to realize I can match with color only, the symbols don't have to match * swapping tiles sometimes feel glitchy on webgl. Something with the animation?

Overall a game I wanted to keep playing. The difficulty could be a bit higher.

The Dark Of Winter by PoundTheGroundStudios 2018-04-24T15:05:57Z

I just died, twice :)

The positive:

* The wind makes a lot of the atmosphere * Easy to move around * Super cool overlay of ice on the screen

The less positive:

* I didn't understand the use (or is there one) between the circle we collect on the map (is it ammo/score/hp?) this wasn't clear * "You win if you survive 4;00) as I saw on the itch page, you could improve the game by having this as a countdown on the screen.

CarD^2riving by Derek Brouwer 2018-04-24T22:13:59Z

The game works now. But the frame size on gamejolt is too small for the game (at least on chrome) I coudn't see half of the card on the left or the right of the screen. (not much of an issue)

The positive:

* This game is a cool concept * I enjoyed the mechanic very well, it's satisfying to get slowly more and more experience on how to drive around

The less positive:

* I wish I could have rotate the camera sometimes * No clear indication of where is the level end

Good work!

Toppen Ultimate Anime Defense by DosWosh 2018-04-24T22:00:40Z

I spent way more time playing this then I should :p

The positives:

* SOOO much chaos * Very good voice acting, could be repetitive, but it's not and stay funny for long * Naming of towers and character * Super cool voxel art

The less positives:

* A bit lengthy as the difficulty doesn't seems to ramp up if you have good towers at the start * One punch chan didn't cost me the 4000 * I manage to bug the game on the MID level, I place a new tower at the end of the round, the sound for the tower and the card shuffle started at the same time then frooze the game. Clicking the X button fixed it and I could keep playing * The maps could use a bit of details, buildings / vegetations

Overall this game is awesome!

PS: what drawing program did you use for your voxel art?

Hooo it's so short :) I wanted the story to progress more. I had a lady, the dino, then 3 time the hunter girl, then Thanks for playing

The positive: * Cool concept, the potion crafting minigame is really fun, not too long and challenging enougth * Feeling of really arriving in the village and meeting people * Very usefull potion index

The less positive: * NSFW content could be a warning, the "Drink and F**$ all night" was funny and good for character creation, but some may be offended. I wasn't but some may * It would have been great to have longer story arcs, maybe I should try the game once more and see differents npc

Overall, this is an awesome game! Congratulation
