I assume you played the web version, I saw that sometimes the Godot 4 crashed the browser when itch.io frame is setting is full screen by default. I changed the setting, it shouldn't crash anymore I hope.

Cute and funny story with some nice minigames and I feel like I've also learned something :) (Potato song gets a 10/10 from me lol)

Haha that was cute!! I loved the story and how happy Fry looked in the end. Made me want to eat some fries... I am so happy it's not the kind of story where poor potato screams and suffers but rather is happy and jolly! :D And I know I saw sprites on stream already but they are sooooo CUTE especially a lil mouse! <3 Also can see why you were finishing up to the last minute - you've added so many mini games! That's really cool :)

I do not generally eat potatoes, but I still enjoyed the game :grin: The music during the crow flight and the potato song were both superb and added so much to the atmosphere! The visuals are nice, especially the colors. And the mouse is my absolute favorite from the whole cast :mouse:
It's a pleasant and unique story with some cool humor. Gameplay is on the easy side - I honestly found the challenge in the main menu more challenging than anything later :laughing. But this gameplay fits the overall mood of the game.

Wonderful aesthetics with a charming, cute theme that adds to the game's appeal. I failed the initial worthiness part twice, but luckily managed to be worthy and god bless that no wiggle check hehe. Really enjoyed it overall, pleasant vibes with a really calm game-play. Superb entry!

This was very cute, that said, there were a few places that confused me a bit. 1. When it came to plucking things off Grandpa's head, I was sure if I was supposed to clicking, using arrow keys or something else. 2. During the flying sequence, it would have been nice to have the controls somewhere on the screen. Also, it wasn't obvious to me that I was supposed to avoid clouds. 3. Same thing was true for the laser sequence with the cat. It took me a bit to figure out what I could click on, and also where I was supposed to be getting the laser... it wasn't clear to me why getting the cat to jump off the counter wouldn't have been a success, so I ended up just clicking everything randomly.

When clicking the second time on 'I want to hear more', the explanation about food starts again. Or maybe it is not a bug?

Really cool and pleasing visuals, some funny puns, and well placed "oh yeah" voice lines made it a joy to play through. I felt that it was just a tiny bit overwritten in the beginning, but then again you did have the skip dialogue options in place. Never knew I needed this, but now I finally know how the Belgian fries are properly made!
It looks cute!!! I would make this PC game for kids. Very pretty. The most important thing is to start mastering the computer.

It's pretty, has funny dialogue and I *think* the story is cute although we didn't learn if it hurts to get eaten in the end.

POH-TAe-TOES! Sam knew what was up. This is a charming game. I love the designs for the potatoes, especially the grandpappy. The dialogue was fun but a little overindulgent, even with the skip option. Though I do like the information relayed. Would also be nice to go back into fullscreen in HTML if you accidentally exit it.

The art is great, audio idem, potato puns were the best :)
from the art, to the dialogue, to the minigames and music/sfx, its crasy how much content u guys fit in this! my favorite is the lil mousie with her tiny knife <3! am curious about the reflex test at the beginning? I was really expecting it to be a challenging reflex based game because of that xD
It's a good tiny game. The story is fun, and visuals are very cute. My main criticism is that the game has more dialogues than gameplay itself, it would be great to have much more mini games. In addition, the last cat sequence lacks some actual feedback what is clickable and not.

Very fun experience! The mouse singing reminds me of the soundtrack to our own game. Fun writing, and nice little mini-games to keep the experience fresh. Love the humor, the puns and LotR reference.
I also have to give a +1 for the Linux build, I always appreciate that.
I have two criticisms though:
1. I feel like the intro was maybe a little bit too long.
2. This is how all fries are made :joy:

my favorite Beligian fries! this is such an unexpected, but cool take on the theme :) a very nice game! i liked the style and the story, the characters were just adorable. the only couple of things that i wish for is maybe a shorter intro dialogue :D it would be cool to get into the action sooner and get some additional info about potatoes every time after you deal with the minigame, for example :)
i also got a bit distracted by the voice reactions like Oh YEEEAH! :D it was fun at first, but after some time got a bit too powerful, maybe... it would also be helpful to get a bit more guidance with the laser, as at first i thought that my game was frozen. and i must say that however the game is cute, it is a bit horrifying to know that our little sweet belgian potato is waiting to be eaten x)

I am so sorry about that, this is the harder mini game in the game and I do not know what is happening for you. Do you use a mouse, a track pad or a phone?
You can skip it the worthiness challenge using the cheat code: CTRL+ALT+DOWN-ARROW, use it a few times until the you are on the next screen.
I really enjoyed this little adventure. A really funny proposition! However, I would have liked to have enjoyed it even more, with other mini-games throughout the story, like Grandpa's rescue for example haha. Well done!

I gotta say, opening your game with a QTE sequence is a bold choice. The kind that makes you lose a good chunk of players before they reach the actual game. Not sure what the thought process was here, especially since it's more of a story driven game. Nevertheless, it's entertaining and the potato theming was nice. Good job!

The twists and turns with the plot, and the mini-games , very cool. It reminded me a big of Mimpy-Dreams, a game my son plays with the art-style and puzzles. The lazer cat and ddr bits were my favourite.

This was a very charming game! I liked the way you toldl the story, it was very engaging. There's a good amount of humor and nice variety in the minigames.
The art is pretty, you've found a really nice style. The animation bring the characters to life, and they were all very fun to get to know. I love the little voices :smile:
Being born in Idaho, I have never seen someone so thoughtfully illustrate the life of a potato with such care and grace. I really enjoyed this short and sweet game. Really nice work on the puzzles, story, and sound effects. My one suggestion would be to allow the player to use both arrow keys and WASD. Other than that, I thought this was great. Great work!
