I love the simplicity.

I love the simplicity.
This is a really fun game! Simple enough yet deep. Love it. (I'm a Super Hexagon fan, so...)
Somehow I liked it. Indeed it feels very minimalistic.
The idea has potentials.
Gaaah, that round one was annoying.
@acatcalledfrank: I had the same issue. Fixed when I installed Java 7.
Need health.
One of my favorites. Very nice.
I got this error:
"Uncaught exception thrown in Thread[LWJGL Renderer Thread,5,main]
ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -21"
@Ryusui All the levels are doable, but indeed it's very unforgiving. I should have spent more time for tweaking the jump parameters.
I need two more fingers to effectively play this.
Very simple game, but the control is spot-on. Enjoyed it.
The ending score was a bit off. (It shows a negative time.)
Potato is pretty much the key to win. :)
I was very frustrated at first but enjoyed it once I figured it out. Great atmosphere.
Clever twist on the story. Like it!
I prefer the game to start in a windowed mode.
Great for the theme.
I like the character.
Love it. The music is somehow quite fitting too.
Excellent level design. Diamonds were so tempting...
This is a prime example of "less is more". Congrats!
I didn't quite understand how the scoring works. But it's a neat idea. The sound was relaxing.
Reminds me a bit of Thomas was Alone. Good job!
I love the characters. At some point game freezed during a battle while the music was still playing.
This game should be used in a driving school.
I once thought I was stuck at the middle, but I wasn't. The little puzzle aspect was great too.
I wanted to change his life!
Nice music.
This is a very interesting concept. Congrats!
Best. Game. Ever.
Well made game, but it gets repetitive after a few minutes.
Both links didn't work for me?
The soundtrack is terrific. I'd love to have it in game.
Awesome idea.
I liked the sound effects.
Somehow managed to get to the house by keep running and walk along a leftside wall.
I spent about 3 to 4 hours for this and gave up. My friend who're a superb platformer player made it. Great job.
How can I see the princess!?
Nice music, by the way.
I get a VC++ runtime error every time I died.
Reminds me of Braid.
The music is very good, but it's a little bit in the way.
Haha, nice take of the theme.
How do you use a space key?
Nice idea but the implementation was a bit glitchy. When I went to the second level there's no enemy appeared during an attack wave.
It's fun, but I thought the association with the theme is kinda weak.
Worth some stars for Bieber.
I liked the idea best among other games I've played. Hope you keep working on this and make it a full game someday!
Hating Windows doesn't make a game look better, you know.
It's a well made game, but again I really don't like the idea that God made people crippled for punishment (or trial, whatever). What would a person with some natural disability think of this? Their inability is not because of their karma.
Nice take of the theme. Like it.
The game had really nice atmosphere overall, but the battle system was hard to understand to me.
Arrggh, I can't beat the Santa!
Fun game. It's kinda a fancy version of whack-the-mole, but it has a lot of original ideas. Also your source code is not bad for a C++ beginner IMO. Good job!
(For those who wants to compile from the source:
$ c++ -Dnullptr=NULL *.cpp -lncurses
is what I did.)
The game was well made, and I liked the last twist. A bit of more original element could greatly improve the experience. The music was a bit loud to me.
Sorry, my antivirus software said that OpenAL32.dll contains Trojan:Win32/Repplock. Could you run a virus scanner and reupload it?
Control is bad. I hated when a game made me hold a mouse button for a long time with precise movement. Maybe it's good for touchscreen, but I wish I could move the box with keyboard.
It's playable and fun.
Technically the game is well made. But I found the message repulsive. You're promoting a (popular and comforting) view that disabled people are those who we should pity, which is actually very insulting to them, and you played with people's emotion. I was appalled.
I wish holding a mouse button worked.
I can't download. It says "forbidden, 403" :/
It's a fun puzzle game, but what's the point of animals? They're nice decoration, but it's annoying when they blocked a narrow path.
I think I'm confused. Maybe I need real meditation.
It was fun for the first few minutes. The control feels a bit awkward.
Quite enjoyed it. Some of the later levels were perhaps accidentally easy, but I liked the idea anyway. The music was nice too.
I played it to the end but honestly I didn't get the game concept, sorry. The music was pretty.
Simple and addictive. Acceleration would be nice.
I enjoyed to some extent, but I felt that my score is always unpredictable.
なんじゃこりゃあああ
でも Loved it :3
Oops, it's mojibake'd. Sorry
Did I get the same level again and again?
Simple but well made game. Loved that management element.
Great atmosphere. Nice and soothing.
I felt it kinda depends on luck. It gets pretty hard at Level 3.
Congrats for a great job!
The game itself is a bit clumsy, but its message makes it whole worth playing. Love it.
I like the graphics, but the mechanics was hard for me to remember. Can you put a color chart or something in the game page?
In the tutorial video it looked very easy, but I found that it's actually challenging. Impressive that you made this in 48 hours!
This game is dangerously addictive. I was kinda tired at level 35, but wonder how long I was playing. Nice take of the theme too.
I liked the slo-mo effect. I hope I could control the player without holding the button.
I liked the idea of platformer and point+click adventure game. This idea could be more developed!
After I learned the mechanics, I found the game pretty addictive. Well done.
This is a kind of game that I wish I could make. Good job!
The graphics looks nice, but I couldn't figure out how to play. I'm holding my rating for now.
I didn't see much connection to the theme, but it was a little fun puzzle. Also, your music was pretty good. To be honest, more challenge would be nice.
I spend good two hours onto this, but I couldn't beat the second level. The mechanics feel much like VVVVVV, which is one of my favorite games. Good job!
Don't use your age as an excuse (I made my first game at age 9 so what?). But there's a lot of potential, so please keep trying.
I found that you can speed up by taking advantage of the physics. This idea could be more expanded.
The game mechanics is good. It could be very addictive if the hit detection was a bit improved. Great job.
I wondered what the clicking sound was, but then I realized that it might be her heartbeats.
There should be jumps with space key. I like jumping.
It's a fun game. I thought the movement was a bit slippery, but anyway I got 20/20! Whooo!
The game has a really addictive vibe. The level design could be a bit improved, but I really enjoyed the game. Also I liked the characters (the player and the evil guy).
I collected 10 or so Rubies but eventually gave up. The knights are too strong.
The graphics and music are pretty awesome. So much potential. Keep working!
Solid game. I was delighted when I found a flock of unarmed villagers. I am so evil. >:)
Somehow igniting people around made me smile.
You can press toward a moving machine (without attacking it) and it will be tamed. You can use those machines to attack other machines without getting damage, and that's what you're supposed to do in Level 2 (where the microwave is deadly).
Thank you to those who played and rated the game.
This made my right hand cramped!
Very nice idea!
screw user interaction this is teh best game evar
It could be much more fun with a proper difficulty settings. Managed to get a couple of nines but sometimes the score wasn't reset after game over.
There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I haven't seen a single fish during the gameplay.
Finished after a dozen trials. It was a nice atmosphere. Good job.
Nice graphics and audio. It's not easy to find a new customer. I liked the humor.
This is how video games are supposed to be.
Phew! Finally solved all the levels =)
The intermediate levels were harder than later ones, but good puzzle overall!
Nice solid gameplay.
You would get 10/5 for the message.
Personally, I felt it could be better not to say that phrase explicitly at the end, letting the player dangling and ponder.
Love the game mechanics. I especially liked the "bonus" area at the end of a level.
I found working at Hell is kinda tedious. Hats off to our hard-working demons.
Woo Organ Trail!
It glitched when I double jumped high. But so much potential. Really looking forward to seeing the finished version!
It took me several tries to pass the black shadow.
I liked the way of storytelling. Nicely done.
The atmosphere is great. I wish I could use keyboard for attack.
Pretty well made, but I don't know what to do after the music is changed. The spaceship disappeared and enemies keep appearing but I had no control.
I put a lot of time to this game. I really liked the overall gameplay (although it gets repetitive when you die). I seemed to get a bad ending by accidentally killing Pluto, but is there a good ending? Either way, I enjoyed it a lot. Great game.
Nice idea and implementation!
Nice mechanics.
The music was very fitting.
Got 17 points.
Nice idea and awesome music!
The gameplay was not that challenging but I liked the overall atmosphere. Good job.
The characters are so cute.
I couldn't figure out why the lighting changed but it's a fun game after all.
Great game and a very nice take of the theme.
Nice graphics and atmosphere. But sadly you can't see much of the details because it's constantly moving.
Is this game beatable? I was killed while humping a robot.
I wish there was music! After getting 500k points I was little bored.
"Failure! It's a tree!"
Fun and addictive game. The last level was hard.
After a few powerups the game became very fun. Good job!
Finally figured out the salt & pepper scene. I'm now a true monster.
Had a good laugh. Nice game.
Emo Godzilla FTW!
ところでモスバーガー食いたくなったよ。
Playing this game made me smile big.
Nice graphics and overall mood! I also liked how you showed dots leading to the goal after you beat all the enemies. Good job.
This is what a video game is supposed to be.
I couldn't figure out what was going on.
An unexpected, nice detective game. The music was awesome too. I didn't quite get the investigation logic first time, but in the second playthrough it made sense. Good job!
I cannot start the game. There's a title screen saying "Click to Start" but it doesn't respond to a click. I tried various places on the screen and a few different keys, with no luck.
It wasn't immediately clear to me who is writing to whom, as it looked a bit like a diary or monologue at first (besides, nobody uses snail mail nowadays for this kind of things, do they?). I was happy to see the phrase that I was expecting to see at the end. Nice presentation, and the last time was very memorable (which will probably stay in my head for a while). And for the sake of clarity, I still can't dance. This is important.
Note: the window didn't expand in the fullscreen mode (could be intentional).
s/last time/last tune/
derp
Pretty fun and solid.
This is a universal game!
I didn't know there's a RPG-like battle scene until I reached level 9, and then quickly pounded by all the surrounding enemies.
Do different dinosaurs have all distinct voices?
I don't like moths in real life but enjoyed this one.
Very nicely done! I didn't realize the colored lines indicate the doors to open until the very last level. I feel stoopid. The music was catchy too.
I love the art style!
I love how it looks complicated at first but really isn't. Great idea, and nice retro-style graphics! I especially liked the second "military" animal. I'd love to play more levels.
Simple but addictive game!
I got an error. Here's the stdout.txt:

Sorry but this game was unfun to me. Control was confusing to me that I ended up with clicking a wrong button a lot. I wished I could use a keyboard for picking/using items. When multiple items are placed at a close place, it's hard to see or handle them. Also the scrolling was jarring me that drains me quickly. It was a painful experience overall.
Did you use your real recorder for the last song?
Yer game is teh best, voxel! \o/
It had a very nice feel. I couldn't beat level 5 or something.
Hint for others: At the tank level, you can avoid tank fire by boosting. When you approach a tank, your cursor can lock on and start firing.
What an insidious game. At first, I thought I sucked at the control, but then gradually it got more and more addictive, and I ended up spending an hour for this entry. The best gameplay mechanics I've seen so far.
It was fun but after a while the game became a bit monotonous. Simple and nice.
A nice puzzle! I found the controls a bit wonky (and sometimes unforgiving) as other people said. Also, I sometimes thought graphics are *too* detailed, because in a game like this a subtle difference of appearance makes the player suspect there might be some hidden elements. Overall, a good job.
The overall idea is nice, but I felt the gameplay was a bit lacking. I could simply keep moving one way and beat the game (and it made me dizzy).
Without doubt, one of the funniest games in the jam! The cats channel was hardest one to me.
You made something indeed!
why did you do this to me
I think this hypnotizing music saved the game.
But, but... you can get fat with bananas too!
Frankly this was the most unfun game to me. The mechanics is there and it's well implemented, but it was just tedious and painful. Later levels are pretty much the same with increased speed but it felt needlessly dragging on.
I couldn't figure out the growth rules, but it's very original. Good job!
Like other people, both controls and the connection to the theme wasn't very obvious to me.
The graphics and audio is nice but the gameplay was kinda glithcy. Sometimes you attach at the opposite direction when an enemy is close. Once you get hit it takes a while for the controls to be enabled so you'll get hit twice. Also, please consider adding e.preventDefault() for certain keydown events (especially space and arrow keys) in order to stop the browser scrolling. The game sometimes freezes randomly.
I think there's a bit of game design issue here. The idea is somewhat similar to those clicking games, but the game's slow pace doesn't make it feel like you're making a good progress. The inflation rate is so high that you have to wait a lot to earn money to buy the next upgrade. But with a little tweak this game could be very fun and addicting. Also a nice cheerful music!
Such a catchy music!
Interesting concept. The control was a bit less obvious to me. I'd like the color of leaves to be a more yellow-greenish to my preference, as the blue tint isn't very realistic.
By the way, eda just means a branch in general, not necessarily limited to Bonsai.
It was enjoyable, but I didn't see much connection to the theme. The music was nice.
Played a few times without the manual as suggested. As other people have pointed out, I don't think it's realistic to expect anyone to figure out the complex rule without it. The game itself was pretty fun and addictive. Good job!
I thought I could take a control of the yarn at the end. Bummers.
The control was sooo frustrating that like it. :3
Tried several times. Eventually it crashed at every time. It's sad as it looks very cool and has a lot of potentials. Since I couldn't finished it, no rating from me.
The idea of monster plants scares me, but the game itself was fun!
Whoa. Have I seen anything like this before? This is with no doubt one of the most innovative game in this LD, and it's immensely fun too!
I...cannot...stop...playing...
Simple but one of the best take on the theme. It felt like the mix of Super Hexagon and Thomas Was Alone (both are my favorite games). My only complaint was there's no way to restart the game with keyboard. Anyway, excellent job!
I didn't know how to beat the white square. The game gets a bit tedious to me, but the mechanics is one of the most innovative.
It is a nice tower defense game. I beat one boss but the later levels were too hard to me. The creepy music was oddly fitting to the atmosphere. Liked the cutscenes too. Good job.
Looks like Katamari Damacy + Agar.io in space. I found a glitch at the last level that you teleport randomly when you're too far from the center.
This game required me some patience. I achieved the first two goals (5000 pts, 300 enemies) relatively easily and just rushed out building more rooms. It was fun after getting the knack of it.
I liked the game mechanics.
I loved the overall bright mood and NES-like tune so much! A simple but memorable game. Good job!
I had this increasing lag problem where the game gets less and less responsive, making it more frustrating to play. I reached level 5 or 6 but couldn't finish it, so no rating from me.
ぷりてぃ しんぷる ばっと ないす あんど ぴーすふる あともすふぃあ
I liked the jingle when finished a level.
I think I reached the end. This was an odd game to me. There was probably some message in it, but it wasn't clear. I liked the music.
This game is pretty brutal. Is this Trump Tower?
Fun and addictive. But it felt a bit luck-based, as there's little response time given. I wished I had a "slow down" seed!
I thought Level 3 was evil but eventually I could run through it!
Drugs are bad, mmkay.
Is there a way to avoid the ghost attack?
A little twist to the old robot game I used to play. It is very well made and fun. At some point it gets a bit repetitive though. It would be more challenging if changing the color costs a whole turn.
My score: 199 (at level 11)
Fantastic game design. The difficulty is striking the perfect balance. Awesome job!
Feature-wise it was pretty well polished. It worked smoothly on both Windows and Linux (with the basic Mono and OpenAL package installed). The auto-saving function and zoom by mouse wheel was pretty convenient too.
I liked the retro visual and audio.
I found an infinite pattern but otherwise the game is pretty darn hard to me. And yes the physics was a bit annoying. The graphics and music are nice. Kid inside me tells that I must like colorful games.
Fantastic entry! Good job.
I was stuck a few times after accidentally "downgraded" and had to reload the entire game. Is there a restart key?
I can see the idea of psychological trick is a sort of your thing (this game + previous game). Liked it a lot.
I recruited a bunch of civilians and used them as an exp grinder. I must be a good tyrant.
I couldn't really understand what's going on. Has a potential.
Uh, how can I kill the princess?
I liked the atmosphere.
I got chorus!
The whole atmosphere was very nice (or whatever, the "mood" thingy that people are talking). The story was a little bit too introspective to me, but I guess it probably tells your character.
Nice concept. It took a while for me to figure out the rules, but once I figured it out, I could see it's fitting the theme.
Gave up on level 5. Sorry, I can't rate this.
I think the best strategy is to stay at the start and stick with the hemisphere shield.
I am a shape master! \o/
Tangram was one of my favorite puzzles. Well done.
Nice retro graphics!
This is the first game I reviewed and I already know it's one of my favorites!
The game mechanics is good, but the game became a bit repetitive after a few hits. The sound effects are nice.
This is my kind of game. Finished in 1.5 hours. Good job!
Despite its looks, this is a pretty exciting stealth game! Level 6 was the hardest to me. Good job.
This is a beautiful scenery.
I wish it had more levels.
OMG I HAVE TO GET RID OF MY COUCH NOW
Allowing a diagonal line would make it more interesting.
Level 112 or something.
I'm kinda relieved that I beat all the levels. I was expecting more mind-bending ones. Good level design!
It's good and polished!
Simple but oddly addictive. It would be nice if the game over screen show the score.
Nice retro look and feel. The audio worked for me.
Haha, what a nice story. I enjoyed this a lot!
This atmosphere is somewhat magical.
Yay, I survived the war zone!
To me, it looks like a set of prerendered images rather than actual real time ML. Also there's not much shape transformation going on.
I wasn't really sure what was going on, but it said I won so I guess it's okay.
It was pretty hard initially, but once you get the nuck of it I found it's actually fun. A little more variation and incremental progress would be better. And thanks for confetti.
I'm not sure how the sliders work?
I didn't expect that the game has two parts! The second part was actually enjoyable, and it could be further extended. Good job!
I liked the mechanics and hoped it had more levels. Good job!
I liked a guy carrying a picture frame. Very well done.
Nice atmosphere. As other people pointed out, the game play was a bit tedious.
Very neat concept! But the mechanics was a bit too wonky to play it comfortably. Well done.
The game could start at a random season so that I could try using different powers without waiting too much?
Very well made. Hats off for supporting multiple inputs!
Sorry, there's a bug that made the trash can unusable. It's fixed now.
Still prototype? Don't be lazy, get to worj voxel!
A very well made game with pretty graphics and soothing music. Reminds me of a game called Banished.
I can see the terrain/map generation went pretty well. The music was very soothing. Good job!
Didn't work on Firefox. ;_;
It says:
Assertion failed: undefined
Simple yet addictive game play. I managed to get 1520. I know I suck but it was fun anyway!
It seems the only challenge in the game is how quickly you can repeat the mine-smelt-craft cycle, but it was painful to play because of the confusing controls.
I hate the flying kitties.
You said your game wasn't that good, but apparently you were too harsh to yourself. The game is pretty damn good!
Spent an hour for this. Damn those bears. But finally I managed to make it! \o/
Felt a lot like Organ Trail. If I'd add a story, it would be like "You thought you smelled someone's fart. This means someone else was also traveling ahead of you for STONECONF, right!?"
I was always buying the beam power like crazy. Nice game.
Somehow I managed to do it in the first try. Random health helped a lot. Didn't have much problem with the original hitbox.
This was very frustrating to me. It took a while for me to realize the maze isn't random. Nice job.
Wow, this is such an original approach. I thought the ending was pretty appropriate. Nice job!
First I thought "oh, this is a very generic game" but how wrong was I? Nice variation and it was pretty enjoyable. Died 57 times.
I don't care if the link is found or not!
I thought the theme aspect is a bit weak, but the game is pretty well done anyway. After trying for a while, I discovered that you can pretty much manage the thing by toggling the middle switch while the left one is kept turned on and the right one is off. Also I wonder if the president's message has something to do with the actual state. He's very macho and suicidal after all.
I'd definitely want to play more levels. Since this is a 3D puzzle, rather than rotating camera with keyboard I'd prefer using a mouse with full rotation.
I feel like I'm late to the party, but holy crap.
Thank goodness I didn't become a carpenter. I would have been dead AND broke by now!
I like how the game is easygoing and a bit derpy (sorry for the lack of proper wording). The ending was anticlimactic but it kinda fits the game's atmosphere. Good job!
Yeah, snake was the hardest. Took almost half an hour to finish that level alone. Some games are pretty easy. Others have a varying degree of difficulty. I like how almost every game has a puzzle aspect.
I was debating if I should give overall five stars or not. But just thinking of a sheer amount of work put into these games, I thought it deserves it. Great work!
This game is technically impressive, and it also reminded me a bit of The Witness too. Great geeky entry!
Solid entry. It is well thought out. One minor nitpick is that at some point I needed to press the Caps Lock key to make a progress, but it was disabled on my PC (as an old school Unix user I reassigned it for Control). Eventually using the screen keyboard did the trick.
I liked the setup, but didn't really get what to do with the numbers. Are these the other "lost" compasses?
YouHaveAFish
YouHaveAFish
A solid game design and fun boss battle, but I feel that the game could make a better use of level design (without needing to change the code). There's an enemy that appears at only one place. The music was a bit ominous but somehow fitting.
One of the best I've seen in this LD. Innovative, cute, and fun. I wish I could make this good tunes too.
Finally I beat all the levels! \o/
Level 3 really threw me off, as I worked on a wrong solution for too long. The game feels very polished. The graphics is top-notch, and I appreciate the level skip key because I had to try it multiple times. Well done!
Very smooth and addictive gameplay. I think the control could be a bit more intuitive (like using mouse to aim) but overall it's a well made game.
I like this, what, the mood? The graphics and music together make the gameplay very soothing and pleasant. As other people mentioned, there are a couple of minor things (e.g. you get stuck easily) but it was a fun experience overall.
I dunno what's really going on, but it's oddly addictive. My high score was 640.
I like the idea of using multiple weapons and weapon timeout, but it turned out be hard to use them at the right timings. Later the game was more hectic and I liked the feeling of panic. My score was 1240.
Cute graphics, and pretty good crafting/inventory system for a compo entry! I liked your take on the theme too. I wish there's a better indication when you're about to die, though.
I always say that games should have a message. And this has one, which makes me happy even though I'm not sure if I agree with this. The game already has a pretty complex mechanics, which is technically impressive. The game eventually frozen up on my PC, which added to further enigma.
I had a fun time with this. It gets monotonic after a while, but it has a nice addicting feel. I purified about 1000 cells.
Hahaha! The funniest game I've seen in this LD. Frankly the control is a bit annoying, but every time I die I couldn't help but cracking up, and it made me keep going. That blood spray is just awesome. The way a level is unfolding was nicely done too. And I hate scorpions.
Good for a first game! Interesting mechanics. I like its simplicity.
My score was 70357. Fun and addictive.
The idea is fun, but after 10 votes or so it's getting a bit tedious.
Well, what can I say. As always, I liked the humor a lot. Game play wise, it wasn't clear that I should use mouse at the beginning, but after figuring it out it was pretty fun.
I wonder how many combos of scenes/characters/actions are there?
This is pretty much my kind of game, but level 4 was annoying as you can't get the exact timing of bullets on a different screen. Other than that I totally enjoyed it. Thanks for an awesome game!
I like the idea, but the game is a little difficult to play. When they start asking 9 diamonds, it starts disorientating as you have to travel for a while. I found it annoying that the diamond counter was reset when you touch other houses. Also, for some reason, I kept falling off the ground. The graphics is pretty and I think that's the game's strongest point.
Whoa, I totally missed playing this one. Great entry! The graphics is simple yet very fitting. Combined with the music it creates a pretty good atmosphere. I appreciated the simple control too. This is really my kind of game, i.e. you fail often but just keep trying until you succeed. Good job!
P.S. one thing you could add is a failure counter. hehe
The combination of graphics and sound is awesome. I totally thought the goal was to kill as many humans as possible.
Sorry for your illness. The game is very moody, but the control was pretty confusing (especially when you turn around). It has a great potential.
I uploaded a test build. Sorry. It's fixed now. The precise change was https://github.com/euske/ld39/commit/f39cb8cd9ae0e9901d802e7826838e29553081ed
Cute graphics! Also I liked how the music speed is changed. The difficulty curve is a bit odd, as Level 1 and 2 were a breeze, while Level 3 was pretty hard. Either way, good job!
Cool music! The game itself was kinda monotonic after a few levels. I'd love to see the lighting mechanics to be used in future.
This game is really cheering me up! Cute characters, catchy music, and the game's pretty well designed in that it lets you upgrade again and again, giving you the "I can do it" feeling. I ended up reaching the space without the Overcooked but the game's so nice that made me collect everything! Great job.
@tim77 Nice discovery, though you missed one button. ENTER also works. These are the "Action" button in my engine's default bindings. Thanks for playing anyway!
T'was fun and addictive. Good job!
Left click doesn't seem to work. It plays digging sound, but no actual digging happens. On Firefox.
The movement is kinda glitchy at time, but it's a well made puzzle game!
@chtimy when I press a block under another block, I got stuck in kinda a weird way and had to restart it. Not much impact on the overall gameplay.
Gosh this is so addictive. While I suck at it (managed to get the third checkpoint after 100 deaths), I couldn't stop playing!
Overall it's well done, but I found it a bit frustrating. You move is slow and the game doesn't respond to buttons fast enough. At least I beat one boss!
Graphics and the atomosphere is nice. While gameplay-wise I saw little challenge, maybe that's the point. It's soothing to keep this running on.
I totally love the ZX feel, and you're succeeding at recreating it! I couldn't get pass the "Acceptance" level but still had fun!
I laughed at the game over screen. :)
Poem worked in Japanese too. Impuressibu!
I love this. It's kinda abstract game but very innovative. You did a pretty good job for the first time!
@pvp Looks like you had a fun time :)
I strongly agree or disagree.
It's a capture-the-flag type of game. As you navigate through an old-ish unix system you'll discover passwords to obtain further information. I could open the eml 3 and then stuck. The terminal displays random characters at random places, but I don't know if this is intentional or bug. The shell is kinda buggy; when command is not found, it doesn't recover from the escape sequence, and subsequent prompts are concatenated. I successfully quit vim so I consider it a win. :) Overall, an interesting idea.
I thought this is like Thomas Was Alone but... how wrong was I.
This reminds me of an open source game named caph.
This is a neat concept! But I didn't quite understand the "patching the hole" part. I tried to reach at the top but that turned out not to be enough.
This is indeed very The Witness-y and fun but I found the dialog a little redundant. A great puzzle wouldn't need any text.
I am not sure if the end is the real end...?
The game mechanics was a little unclear but the art and music was charming.
Not being able to change the direction while jumping makes it very hard!
#clawared indeed. I liked the idea of collecting happy cats. This game has a special positive vibe. Good job!
I believe is the real goal of this game is to force us to change the key bindings. Evil. But the game's infinite field was exploitable. I just kept moving left and shooting and reloading non-stop. And I did this without changing the key bindings. I yet to know how to get a positive score in this game but nonetheless I won. The best game ever.
The gameplay was hard but I loved the mood. Well done!
This kind of weird, but well-made game is what brings me to a gamejam. You made the whole experience more awesome. Thank you!
Nicely executed! Twas a pretty fun game.
I dided with level 7 and 124 brains. Once I figured out the mechanic, it was pretty fun!
It's such a simple concept but I really liked the ominous atmosphere of the game. The art and sounds work great. Also, that flying thing in the sky! Sadly I was too distracted by that thing and gave up my crops rather than saving them. I ended up with 11 crops. As someone above said, farmer life is tough.
At first I thought everything is so slow but later I figured out that it was by design. Great game!
The game design is excellent. I really liked the idea that you have to accumulate enough coins to withstand a larger investment? cost for bigger viruses. The game UI could be further improved by for example showing how long each virus takes to change the color. I got 12969 coins in 144 seconds.
There's a teleport bug but I learned to exploit it to finish the levels sooner!
The game has kinda slow progression, but I like the atmosphere.
A really nice execution on the theme! Sadly the browser version is a little buggy as pressing TAB freezes the game. Game also freezes when restarting so I had to reload the page every time. I liked the humor. Well done!
Haha I liked the humor of this game. I just hoped that replay was a bit quicker.
My time was 3:25. It was fun, but I hoped that the view was a bit wider. Good job!
Uhhh the idea is interesting at least. I visited your channel anyway. Good luck with subscribers!
Just want to say thank you for this. I finally had a time to play it (the jar was sitting on my Desktop for a while) and it didn't disappoint me. I always admired your style of creativity, or something. How can I say this? Anyway, please keep up with the good work! From your fan.
Edit: by the way, the source code link is wrong. (it should be .zip)
Initially I didn't understand how this is related to the theme. I enjoyed the story anyway.
Nice game but boy the controls are hard!
I saw the same glitch as @mackain in Firefox. Once you fall, you couldn't seem to land on any block. But I liked the concept and overall art style of the game.
The visual effect of system malfunctioning is very good. Actually I was wondering (hoping?) if too much of malfunctioning causes it game over but the system was usable even after a lot of contamination.
This is pretty much a race with RNG, but you made the experience interesting enough, which is a great job. Nice work!
Very innovative and fun! I just wished that there were more levels.
was there audio in the game? I didn't hear it.
I've now learned how hard to achieve La Révolution...
Best title song ever.
Potentially a great game. Unfortunately the postjam version still seems to have a few bugs that require restarting the cart. e.g. Mario unable to jump after stomping an enemy (this randomly happens), Enemy glitching at spawning within a pipe, and the kill counter not being updated correctly. Nice try, though.
+9999999 FOR NOT USING UNITY
Oh, the gameplay. It gets a bit monotonous but overall it's fun. Reminds me of Fantasy Zone + Scramble.
Fun and addictive game! The association with two genres were a bit unclear to me. The "Layers" level took a lot of trials for me, but I feel there's a secret exit that I haven't explored...
Dating sim part wasn't my thing but it was very polished anyway.
It feels almost like a poetic interpretation of rocket lunching. "Collection" of points isn't very clear, because you can go back and forth on the same position to get multiple points. I hope the player can do a bit more something. Tank control is a bit weird.
Is there a way to speed up clicking part or I am just being a wuss?
Definitely one of the innovative games. The gameplay is a bit monotonous and the town is hard to navigate (a little minimap would be nice). Not sure if the two genres thing was successful here, but an interesting take anyway.
The game is quite fun and frustrating! It is well thought-out, though I wish the enemies were a little easy on me... Great game!
Fun and addictive game. The control was a little iffy. Would like to see a polished version.
ASCIIness hooked me up into this game. I kept two Romantic Musics until the last moment when I used them, so I ended with 100% love. I'm such a sly bastard.
Loved the voice over too. The game is polished and well fitting the theme.
Very creative. The gameplay was solid. I initially thought there's a bug that a door opens randomly, but it was the enemy pressing the button. Neato.
Very ambitious entry. I couldn't beat it after about 15 min. of playing but it feels like a hodgepodge of several different genres (platformer, shoot-em-up, micromanagement, puzzle). Good job.
Also I was slightly disappointed by the fact that the game has nothing to do with Mr. Saturn.
Very polished entry. I feel the music editor element could be explored more but overall it's a fun game!
Pretty neat idea! It seems the two ideas blend pretty well I liked the physics a lot. A bit of (seemingly?) randomness/unstableness was pretty effective too. Allowing a more complex command would make this a blast!
This is oddly fun and addictive, but after a week I got filthy rich and the life became boring. I liked the background music and overall style. One of the best games I've played so far.
