Haha, as someone else already said, both NSFW and pretty fun. Good job on how well the game is made. It feels really polished! Wait, that didn't came out right.

Haha, as someone else already said, both NSFW and pretty fun. Good job on how well the game is made. It feels really polished! Wait, that didn't came out right.
I like turn-based games like these. With a little polish, this could really be good!
Very good game! The graphics are great, as is the concept & the way it connects with the theme. If you are going to continue working on this game, it would however be advisable to add some sort of tutorial, as it is a bit difficult to figure out how to play effectively. The replay value is already pretty great, so it would be worth it to add some polish and put it out there :)
Even though it's a simple and short game, I had a big smile on my face the entire time. Good job!
Oooo, this looks great! I wish I could play it, but I'm on Mac OS X :'(
It's a bit rough as it is now, but I think with a few improvements (add some audio, a little animation and a better difficulty curve) it could be quite fun.
Ooooh, this game is really terrible but also hilarious :D I had a good laugh, well done :) And it even looks and works pretty good as well!
It's not very interactive, is it?
Others have said just about everything already, but I really like the way this game looks and the puzzles are cool too. Well done!
Beautiful!
Well done! I really like the art style and the music. The game runs very well, so go TurtleBrains!
Well done, it's pretty fun :)
Amazing atmosphere. Please continue the story!
Trying to lure dogs into a pool of oil is a nice mechanic :)
Awesome graphics, I really like it :D
This game is absolutely amazing. Such an epic feeling you get, rummaging around the level, unlocking things bit by bit. The controls are great, I love the zooming to tell a story without words and the soundtrack is amazing as well. Great job, this would really work as a full game!
This game is more fun than I thought it would be, haha. Well done!
Well done, it's bat shit crazy and I like it :)
This game is fantastically made. It plays, looks and sounds great. But I'm sad to say I'm unable to beat the puzzle :'(
Loads of fun this game!
Dude, this game is crazy difficult, hahaha :D You say there are checkpoints, but I haven't been able to reach one yet. It looks and sounds awesome though, I'll come back to this one later to try and see if I can do better. I mean, I do want to stop Dr. Dynamo of course!
Ok, I've gotten a lot further this time round.
I've placed the bomb and I'm on my way back. But how the hell do I pass that solid laser beam? I'm trying to go up, but the jump seems impossible. How do I do this?
I just finished the post-compo version, that one I *can* manage :)
What I especially liked about this game is the fact it's actually pretty fun to play.
The audio could use some work, though. Maybe some sound effects?
On the other hand, the fact that you've including a tutorial is very fancy!
Well done :)
Holy shit, I can't believe this actually works :D
The gameplay is a bit repetitive and the graphics aren't that great, but who cares? I AM CONTROLLING A GAME BY WHISTLING! Hahaha, very well done!
Wow, this game is hard! I've tried a few times, but didn't manage to get very far. But challenging is good I suppose :)
Ha, this is actually pretty fun! I've played all the way to the boss fight with the vegetarian :D
I think the audio is great! Maybe a little music would have been nice, but the sound effects really work!
Sadly I wasn't able to run your game :'( I got the following errors (trying to run it in Mac OS X): http://pastie.org/10103137
I wish I could play this one, but I'm using Mac OS X :'( Could you compile a version for Mac?
I like "A Dark Room" as well :) I don't really understand your game however... what is it exactly that I'm supposed to be doing?
This game is pretty cool! It's a bit difficult, but it looks very nice graphically. I like the mechanic of shooting your own brain and then having to retrieve it again a lot!
The music didn't always play for me, but the few times it worked, it sounded alright!
Oh by the way, I've played this game in Mac OS X and it seems to run fine, so it's not Windows-only at all :)
Absolutely amazing. Very well done!
I wish I could play your game, but I'm on Mac OS X :'( Can you compile it for Mac?
Great atmosphere. I really like the feel of the whole game :)
I wish I could play your game, but I'm on Mac OS X :'(
I wish I could play your game, but I'm on Mac OS X :'( Can you compile it for Mac?
This is a pretty fun concept :) I wish the controls were a bit better though, because I can't seem to turn around properly? Maybe it's an issue with Mac OS X, but once I move my mouse completely to the left, I can only turn about half way :/
A little more audio wouldn't hurt as well.
But the idea of the game is pretty cool!
Wow, your game looks pretty cool! Sadly I can't run your game, because I'm on Mac OS X. Could you compile your game for Mac?
It takes a little while to get the hang of it, but in the end I thought your game is pretty fun to play. Well done!
This is a pretty fun puzzle game. Well done, it feels quite polished even!
The idea is really nice, but I think the execution lacks a bit. I feel the graphics and feel of the game could be improved upon a lot, but the core mechanic is very interesting! Is there any audio by the way?
I like this game a lot! Very clever and fun to play, well done :)
Well done! I like interesting & different games like these. Some music would have been nice, though.
It wasn't really clear what I had to do at first, but once I understood I had to follow the line it was pretty cool. Although I got stuck at the "way down" / "way up" level, where it just keeps saying "> 3 out" for some reason...
The Mac version is working fine :)
Even though the game isn't that good looking or works particularly well, it is a clever take on the theme and a funny setting anyway :) Good job on submitting something!
It's a fun game with a fair difficulty, but what is unconventional about your weapon?
Cool story :)
Please check your link, it doesn't seem to work :/
Maybe not the greatest platformer in the world, but I thought it was pretty fun to "bamboozle" your enemies by becoming a Rubics Cube. had a good laugh :)
Wow, well done! These puzzles are great and the weapon is hilarious :)
I wish I could play your game as it looks really great judging from the screenshots. Sadly, I'm on Mac OS X :'( Can you compile it for Mac?
Haha, this is a fun little game. I made it all the way to the end, answered the questions correctly and beat the game. Yeah, I feel like a winner now B-)
Cool game! The controls are a bit rough and the hacking could have been a bit more streamlined, but I like the idea of hacking as a weapon :) Well done!
Oooooo this is beautiful! 5/5 for graphics!
A nice simple game. I played it all the way to the end. I like the visuals!
I tried shooting a lot at the zombies but they wont die?
Hi dalbinblue, you are completely right about how the mechanic works. If you give a country more points, they'll award you more points the coming year.
You can look up the statistics in the screen between the Eurovision contests. If you click on one of the countries in the list on the left, you'll see a graph of how many points you've given them and how many points they've given you in return.
The best strategy is to look for countries that keep re-appearing each contest. If you team up with them and consistently give them a lot of points, you'll be able to win :)
Findland *is* included, Nysten!
There are 50 countries in total. Every time the game starts, a set of 25 is randomly chosen. So if your favourite country isn't included, just refresh the game and chances are it will be there :)
I did want to do something with the map, Hectigo, but I ran out of time :(
You can track the voting history of each country in the screen between the Eurovisions though, by click on a country from the list on the left and looking at the graphs.
Wow Conk, amazing! I can't believe someone actually took the time to finish the game. That makes me so happy :)
Thanks for all the compliments, people! I had tons of fun working on this and it's great to see people are enjoying the results of my efforts.
@Joris: well, you always end up in last place at the first contest. The idea is to build diplomatic relations with other countries by giving them many points. They will reward you the next year by giving you more points in return. If you can build a big enough block of befriended countries, you are able to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
@MegaPonies: Portugal is included! All 50 participants are in the game, but only 25 are chosen at random at the start of each game. So if your favourite country isn't in there, just hit refresh and chances are it will be included :)
The music is on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/martijnwf/sets/ld32-eurovision-world
The power of voting is your weapon, Simian!
I first made 12 backing tracks in different styles, which took me a few hours. Then I quickly sang 5 different vocal parts for every one, largely improvising and only doing a retake if I really messed up. So that got me 60 different songs in not too much time.
Then I pitched them all up & down, resulting in 180 different song files for the game :)
Thank you all so much for the great ratings. I can't believe this game actually ended up #2 in audio. Amazing :D
This is a great game! Had a lot of fun playing it and the music is pretty good too :)
This is a really amazing game. I can't believe you did all this in just a weekend. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great. I'll come back to this one for sure!
This is pretty cool! I agree with the other people that it would be nice if it could be controlled fully with the keyboard, but other than that it's a very nicely made game :)
Cool puzzle game. I haven't seen these features of manipulating words in a game before :)
It's pretty difficult though, I didn't manage to get beyond "feather" :'(
Well done on the innovative game design! Maybe a mini-map which would make it more clear where the other clocks are would be helpful though.
It's pretty fun! Good job on creating multiple levels.
Is there supposed to be audio? Because I've tried different browsers, but I'm not hearing anything :/
The idea is good, but sadly it lacks in execution.
Yeah, I think this game is broken. I don't think it can be played in the way that was intended.
I have absolutely no idea what to do :/ Is the whole game guessing what to type?
What does the paint do exactly? Can't I just avoid the buzzsaws without ever touching the paint?
Even though the game is not finished, I played it anyway because I like racing so much :P
I must admit I wasn't actually able to play your game, because I'm on Mac OS X. I tried to build it from source, but that didn't work out. I watched this video instead and based my rating on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8q6v8MUT2w
Your game really feels like a perfect compo entry. It has a lot of character, because you made everything yourself, even including the guitar stuff. What your game may lack in gameplay, it makes up for in the original interpretation of the theme. Overall, I like it a lot :)
What I forgot to write down was that I think the actual enemies could have been drawn a bit better. A lot of effort was put into drawing & animating the main character, but your eyes aren't actually focused on him a lot. Instead, you're looking at the enemies all the time and they aren't looking so rad.
You clearly have some talent for drawing (I also like the clouds! very DoTT-like :)), I wish the art style was more consistent throughout the game.
This game is really well made. The graphics and audio are solid, as is the gameplay.
It's a bit much to handle everything though. I would like to have fun with the wrecking ball more, but I find it difficult to dodge enemies and use the guns all at the same time. But maybe that's just me, I'm not very good at these kinds of games.
Well done though, the game feels very polished!
Dude, I love your games. They're so funny and full of cool details. Even though this is just a typing game, I still had a good laugh. Well done!
Awesome game! It's a bit like Super Crate Box meets Guitar Hero :)
The controls are a bit hard on a laptop. Maybe adding WASD/ESDF for movement would help?
Well done, this is my favourite microwave/dance game so far!
Haha, I laughed so hard when I reached the end. Well, one of the endings I suppose. I levelled the party up until they were all level 4 and then threw in the monster. Had a good laugh :) Well done!
Wow, well done. This is a very clever game! It must have been a lot of work to get all that audio in.
Awesome! I've played it all the way through to the end :)
I can imagine the glitchy & chaotic nature of this game is even more fun with more people. I'll give it another go with some friends later.
Wow, this game is difficult, haha. I can't manage to keep going for much longer than 30 seconds or so xD
Even though you had little time to make something, it's still cool you did :)
I got tipped to play this game. I'm forever thankful. My life is now complete. What a game. The drama. The art. The music. The puzzles. The plot. The characters. Perfection has been achieved. 11/10. GOTY of the year.
All kidding aside, this was truly lots of fun and really well made :) Congrats!
Wow, this game is crazy difficult, haha! Solid game though. It looks great and I love the main theme song :)
Haha, this game is nuts. I've played it through three times now and every time more crazy things happened to me.
It does feel a bit random, I think it would have been nice if it was a bit more focused.
The amount of content you managed you get in this game is quite impressive though. I think I'll play a few more times to see what other amazing things can happen to me :P
Haha, that music is the best. Awesome game, man. And the web version runs great!
Wow, this game is surprisingly deep! It took me a little while to figure out what I had to do, but once I started unlocking stuff, I was on a roll :D
The little bit of audio you did have is better than most entries' audio :P
It looks very pretty. Too bad it isn't a real game yet. I hope you'll finish it one day!
This game is just great. I can't believe you made all this in a single weekend. It's true the game is a bit heavy on the writing and isn't subtle about its message, but so what? It looks/sounds/plays absolutely top notch. Very well done! 5/5
Aw man, I wish you had time to finish this game, because the setup seems pretty cool. I think with a more polished UI and better AI, this could really be quite fun!
How the hell do I beat the frog king? :P
I really like the music by the way! I know it's "just" a bass line, but it's quite long and varied. I think it works well with the frogs.
I managed to get your Python 2.7 version working on my Mac \o/
Good job on the game. It's a pretty fun concept. I wish there was sound though!
I agree the game is moving too slow.
Bernie is slow on purpose though. It is done to make the game a bit more challenging.
If Bernie would move faster, then it becomes easier to catch Marius.
So I should make Marius faster as well, but then I'd have to redo all the levels, because the path Marius takes is tweaked for the current speed.
All in all there just wasn't time enough to do that :(
Thanks for your feedback, VDZ :)
My top score was 12, but I just watched a friend get to 20!
All of the music was created with Reason (by Propellerhead).
And thanks for your kind words :)
Thanks everyone for the kind words :) I didn't feel very confident about my creation, but reading your comments makes me a little happier about this thing.
Regarding random levels, this was initially the plan, but I failed to make a proper AI. So in the end, I had to resort to manually creating levels & paths for Marius.
It's a little rough around the edges, but I like the idea of luring bugs into the direction of the monster. The perspective from the monster's mouth is also very cool. The music gets a bit repetitive, but it's good that you have music at least!
Is there supposed to happen something when all of the bugs fall off the level? Because I got stuck when that happened.
Otherwise well done! :)
Wow, this game is great! It looks and feels very polished, especially with the different levels and everything. The animations of the characters is also very well done. But the best part is of course when you're uncontrollably throwing your both arms around, hahaha.
The Mac-version crashes after starting :'(
As others have pointed out, it isn't so much a game. But the music is nice and it made me laugh, so good effort anyway :)
I can't get the Mac version to start. It says it's not a Mac app :'(
This game is super nice. I think it's the only compo entry I've ever seen that has a save system, haha. I love the art style, the story and the music. Well done!
This is a great entry. I had a blast playing this game and eventually (after 3 tries) finished the game in 92 turns. I continued playing after that (that's how much fun it was), but eventually stopped after having acquired every single mutation, 275 hp, 77 strength and 68 defence I decided to call it a night :P
Great job!
By the way, it works great in Mono on Mac OS X. It might be advisable to promote this a little bit more, as I thought this was a Windows-only entry by your description.
Cool game, man! It runs very nice and looks great :) It's nice to throw those tentacles around :P Lots of content as well! Some of those levels are *huge* :o
There's no real story or writing to speak of. No music either. Pretty basic graphics. Just a single level.
But DAMN this is fun :D
5/5 will play again for sure!
This game is pretty well made! It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but I eventually managed to get pretty far into it I believe :) Good job!
This game is pretty fun! I've managed to get to level 6 on my first try. It's a nice challenge. The main difficulty I have is that you need to use both the mouse and the keyboard to control different things. Is there a way to use magic with the keyboard? That would be a sweet addition. Otherwise, good job on the game!
Awesome game! Not just looks & sounds great, but also is genuinely fun to play. Great job :)
This was such a moving experience. I feel it was very personal for you, even if the story wasn't exactly as it happened in real life. I kept on thinking about it for a while after I finished it, it's just so nice. And to think I actually hate dancing, hahaha.
It looks great, but where the game really shines is the combination of the music and the writing. Quality stuff man, congrats!
That waltz is still stuck in my head.
Thanks for playing, FuzzyWuzzie! I updated the Windows download to include the DLLs now, I hope that fixes the issue :)
That's a shame, Rfdshir. I've tried to patch it. Could you try downloading it again to see if it works now?
I got 18.6 grams on my first run. Then I tried a second time and thought I did much better, turns out I only had collected 13 grams! Haha.
The atmosphere in this game is quite amazing. Very zen-like. Good job on the audio, both the music and the sounds are great! But the visuals are great too and on top it all runs very smooth.
All in all a fantastic entry!
Nice game! It runs really well. Haven't tried it on mobile yet, but it's nice to see you're considering people playing on their phones.
Unfortunately I'm horribly bad at such games, so by the time I got to level 5, it was already quite difficult for me, haha. The style is very nice looking. Some music during the game would have been a nice addition, but all in all a very competent entry. Well done!
Very smooth! I like how accurate the shooting works, it really feels right.
Some music would have been nice, but the sound effects are perfect!
Well done!
A great game as always, rxi. I love the art and music, even though I know you're not happy with the bird and rat yourself. I think it all looks pretty great though, espcially because of the animations. The day/night cycle is also very cool.
I like the song and I think it fits the game quite well. I feel variations on it for the intro / end screens would be a nice addition to make the player more willing to have another go, but I understand there's little time for such things in the short 48 hours of the compo. If you do want to continue working on it, maybe some kind of audio signal (variation in the song? sfx? I dont know) for when enemies are approaching / eating your crops would also be a nice touch.
The game itself is fairly difficult, but I like that it's something different for a change. The game is quite a challenging balancing act, having to try to keep so many variables in check. How are my crops doing? Where is my gun? Am I thirsty? It's a little too much to handle, which is perfect. Having less to do would make for quite a boring experience, but having too much to do would feel impossible. I think it's balanced quite well!
Practising with the touchpad yesterday helped I think, because playing with a mouse today resulted in surviving for 7 days on my first try (I couldn't manage more than 4 on my laptop).
I agree with some of the comments about the controls, they could be improved. But the most problems I had myself was with the direction in which I throw my gun or hoe when I want to put it away. It always ended up in the middle of the field for me, instead of on the side, haha.
All in all a solid entry! One of the most fun games I played this LD :)
Awesome game, euske! I waited with writing a review until I finally reached the moon, which took a good number of tries. Once I used your tip of using the tree as a cover, I did better though.
I'm a bit sad there is no music, but the ambient outside noise is very nice as well!
Could I navigate the DANGERGRID with just two buttons?! Well, no actually.
But an amazing game anyway! The feel of it all is really great. The look is really cool, but the music's not bad either. And come on... boosting through a canyon and blowing up tanks, all the stuff an 80s kid like me could wish for.
This is a cool game! I love the artwork, it's straight from a children's book of fairy tales. The rappel / grow mechanic also works pretty well once you get the hang of it. Haha, get it? Hang!
Some way to play again once you've gone Game Over would have been a nice addition, because I found myself wanting to play again for a while :)
Is it possible to reach the bottom by the way?
Awesome game, guys! It's clear you had lots of fun making this. I also love these kinds of quirky, innovative non-standard games. For me, this is what LD is all about!
I agree with some of the other comments that it would be nice if the channels weren't randomly chosen, but in a certain order instead. But it's a minor detail, really. It's also not immediately apparent for each channel what you are looking for, but searching for it is what makes the game fun to play. I like that the game is quite forgiving when you guess incorrectly, which gives you the opportunity to just try and see what happens, thus exploring the various hilarious content. There's little replay value once you've heard everything, but most LD entries don't even have the amount of content you guys have, so that's alright really.
All in all a very nice game. Good job!
Wow! So many games AND multiplayer AND AIs! This is very impressive, because it all works rather well and is quite fun on top. Well done!
This game is like Alice in Wonderland, going down the rabbit hole to see how deep it goes. Haha, great stuff. I had no idea what this is about, but I don't think you know more than me :P
It looks and sounds great by the way. All in all, very enjoyable!
Another game with interesting production qualities, like we're used of you, ReactorScram :P
I played the .love version and didn't have any technical difficulties. It took me a little while to figure out how the game should be played, but once I got the hang of it, I managed to get a score of 6683 points. Not bad I think, right?
I had a good laugh at some of the images on the TV and the general concept of pumping to inspiring pictures is pretty funny in itself. Good job!
I tried to run the Mac version, but it crashes immediately after it starts :'(
A very nice entry! I was genuinely laughing :D
I can't believe how pretty this game looks. And to think it has been made with LÖVE in 2D, amazing!
I also really dig the terminal next to the game. I love those messages running along, and it's a great way to tell the story without getting in the way too much.
I played the updated version and ran into very little trouble. It works quite well! The audio is also nice. The simple musical drone is fine for the atmosphere of this game and the sound effects are quite good. I just wish there were some cool metallic robot sounds to really finish it off, haha.
The plot twist in the end is also a very nice touch and works to give the game a feeling of closure.
Very well done, especially in the ridiculously small timeframe of just 48 hours. I wouldn't mind playing a longer version of this game!
The look of this game is really nice. It's a bit hard to play because of the physics bugs, but if you could solve this in an update, this could be a pretty awesome game!
It's a simple game of course, but it's still a pretty cool test of eye/hand coordination.
Sadly, I have very poor eye/hand coordination :(
The tutorial is pretty good and the game itself works well enough. It's just that, like others have pointed out as well, there seems to be no way to build farms. Which makes it a bit hard to really play the game as intended :P
I like the song by the way! Good job!
I barely understand what I'm doing or what's going on, but I just sat here, staring at it grow, for like 20 minutes :D
It looks very pretty. I wish I knew how I could solve the apple puzzle with the "enemy mold" though.
For me the web link worked fine!
It's a cool game :) It runs pretty well. The controls are a bit hard on a laptop though, making the game quite challenging.
I noticed the music doesn't loop, maybe that's something to look into? Because there are also no sound effects, the game effectively goes quiet after a while, which is a shame.
The graphics are simple, but effective and the colors are nice and bright.
All in all a pretty good entry!
Wow, that dude can get quite big, hahaha. I especially loved the sound effects, very fun :)
Diagonal slopes are always a bit tricky with platformers. I'd recommend not using them unless you can get them really right. Also the controls felt a bit weird at first because of the jump on key up, instead of key down. But after a while I got used to it and it worked out alright :)
I like how the levels are quite challenging, but when you die, you're always fairly quickly back to the place where you died, which helps in keeping you motivated to clear the level.
I love the look and sound of this game. I made a huge ball, but then couldn't find anything further to do. Did I miss something? The message said it was enough. I feel like I'm missing something here.
Thanks for your comment on my game by the way! I plan on making a version that's a bit stronger in the gameplay department, a lot of the ideas you're proposing are going to be in that :)
I think the pointers in your description really help to understand what's going on, because it can be a bit abstract at first. Once you figure out how it all works it's a pretty cool game though. Some kind of warning before doing something that will make you run out of brown resources would be nice though, because I kept getting stuck that way, haha.
After several runs my highscore was 1847. Please tell me that doesn't completely suck.
Also... why no rating on audio? The tune is pretty awesome! Some sound effects would have finished it off though.
Graphics are awesome, I like the palette :)
All in all a pretty cool game!
This is a truly superb game you've got here, Sheepolution. It's very challenging, I haven't been able to get to the end yet, but I've tried several times and enjoyed the game very much. The animations are very nice to create the feeling of a real, living spaceship. The audio is very spacy, it's a great experience all round. But where the game really shines is the actual gameplay. It's just a very compelling little strategy game, which is truly fun to play. Congrats!
A nice interpretation of the theme, having two thrusters you can use to both steer and move forward. Even though it is very hard to actually hit the ball, I like the controls a lot. I think the ball should simply be bigger :P
Good effort on a cool local multiplayer game. It's always fun to mash the keyboard with a lot of people :P
Especially impressive that this is your first entry, judging by how good it looks and works!
Quite interesting artsy interactive thing. I like these sort of things, even though the "fun" is maybe a bit lacking.
The clay heads look very good. Cool idea!
This little game is surprisingly fun to play. Well done, I had tons of fun :)
Awesome job on submitting your first LD entry! It looks pretty decent as well and it runs without trouble.
Having more buttons than just the two you're controlling is a clever take on the subject. Alas the gameplay isn't that engaging to really keep it up for very long. But for people who are into beating highscores, this might scratch that itch for them :)
There could have been a little more audio and the audio that is there could be a little louder. Maybe you can focus on that subject the next time!
The bullets are a bit slow, but otherwise this is a pretty cool game! It looks good and the Xbox controller support is a nice addition. I'm sad there isn't any music, but the awesome menu graphics make up a lot of it :)
I'm super impressed by this entry. I can't believe it's the real thing (a real ZX Spectrum file I mean)!
The game itself is pretty good. It starts off very easy, but becomes challenging rather quickly. I always like turn-based strategy games, so a big +1 from me. And on top the graphics and audio are also very cool, so all in all I couldn't really ask for more from a LD entry.
Awesome job!
I'm super proud of myself for having finished this, haha. The game was quite a challenge at first, but after a few attempts, it started to dawn on me how to play. Eventually I needed 5 continues to finish a run in 7 minutes. I don't know if that's terrible or not, but for me it's a victory.
I see a lot of people commenting on the control scheme. While playing, I wondered if it would have been possible to play this game with only two buttons, where the jump button would automatically shapeshift you into a bat if you weren't already. Perhaps such a simplified control scheme would help some players who find it too difficult. But to be honest, even though I'm generally terrible at platformers, I did find it was possible to get used to the controls fairly quickly actually.
Anyway, this is a great game! It's incredibly well made, as the graphics and music are marvellous and it all feels very, very solid. I think the modulation in the song is a clever way to avoid it sounding too repetitive.
Well done :)
Very cool game, euske! Not just the main mechanic of setting up the different guys against each other is a lot of fun, but also the fact they greet you ("Yo!") gives it loads of character.
It's too bad the pathfinding is a bit glitchy from time to time, but otherwise it's working pretty good :)
It feels like a very complete thing, with music as well as sfx, multiple levels with a pretty good learning curve and a big boss in the end. Well done!
Haha, that yellow laser thing is amazing. I just kept pointing it upward from the left side of the level and was raking in the points B-)
I ended at 3531 points, that's pretty good right?
It's a cool game, despite its flaws. It's got a bit of a Super Crate Box vibe going. I love that despite everything, you submitted a very complete game with pretty nice graphics, music, sfx, varied monsters, it's all there :)
This game is pretty cool! I like the way it introduces how it works before it gets really tough. It seems very finished, all in all, which is hard to do during the short 48 hours of the compo. Well done!
It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but once I figured out how you can change into gas to go up on land and change into ice to go up in the water, it all worked pretty well!
It's a real shame there's no audio, because that would really have made this game into something that feels finished. More levels would also be nice of course. The mechanics are cool enough, so maybe you can add some post compo?
Either way, good job! As wumpus said, the jumping out of the water as a block of ice feels nice :)
This is right up my alley. I love car stuff! Why don't all racing games implement clutches?
My best time was 11.50 by the way. I was able to run the Windows version on my Mac using Wine :)
This game looks & sounds fantastic. I wish it was longer, because I was just getting the hang of it!
Good job :)
I've been trying a million times, but I still can't manage to get through level 4 :(
But I'll keep trying, because this game is loads of fun! The graphics are top notch. Not just the car/plane, but also the explosions and even the menu is very nicely styled. The audio is pretty cool as well, from the nice countdown sfx at the start, to the engine revving and even background music. This game feels very complete and polished, which is amazing for a compo entry. Well done!
Cool game, bro :) I thought it would be impossible to play with a laptop touchpad, but actually it's not too bad at all.
What was a little hard though, was remembering which key maps to which shape. Maybe switching shapes with a single key (cycling through them) would be a nicer control scheme? Then I can just tap the one button repeatedly in a panic :P
Too bad you didn't have time for music, because it felt a bit empty because of that. But a very nice game nonetheless. The core gameplay is solid, fun and challenging and in the end, that's what it's all about :)
A *very* nice game, this! It's a very organic experience, despite the huge pixels. I liked how natural the puzzles flow into each other. And even though the music wasn't made for this specifically, it still works very well.
Looking around was a bit hard with a touchpad, which is a shame, because looking around is also one of the nicest things to do in such a game. Spotting a hidden note can be really rewarding, so I like to look around as much as possible!
Nevertheless this was truly a joy in every possible sense. What I especially liked was the looping. It made the space feel quite large, but simultaneously nothing was ever far away and you can't get lost. Very very clever!
A clever little puzzle game :) The difficulty curve is rather well done and I thought the concepts were pretty well explained through the levels, which is always nicer than having a separate tutorial. The graphics are simple, but effective, as are the sound effects. It's a bit of a shame there isn't any music, but otherwise very well done!
Oh god I love that guy in the corner. I'm laughing out loud here, hahaha.
TOOT TOOT!
Sadly I'm currently a bit too sleepy from the LD weekend to figure out the puzzles. I managed to solve the first one, but I'm too dumb for the second. I'll come back to this in a few days when my mind is more clear :)
But that guy in the corner, hahahaha. Good job!
Ha, this is an awesome entry. I love that you've made a whole soundtrack for the game, which is not something found in every compo game. The puzzles itself are cool, but what really makes it shine are the funny things the customers say. Very well done! I played it all the way to the end, so that's a good sign, right :)
Hey Frozen Fractal,
The comparison is indeed done pixel by pixel. Based on that, you are given a score from 0 to 5 (0 is very bad, 5 is very good). Within each tier, a random cash bonus is determined. So it's a little skill and a little luck :)
Cool game! The changing of the platform is a nice mechanic and because there's lots going on, there's always something to look out for. Also cool is the fact you've added music & sound effects! Well done :)
It isn't the easiest game to get into, but I think after a while I did manage to get the hang of it a bit. Going after people on a hit list is actually a lot of fun, I've learned :D
The music is simple, but good job of having it in there. Many compo games lack music, which is a shame! I liked the colourful graphics a lot, it's got some character to it imho.
Good job all in all!
Congrats on your first LD! The backstory is kind of crazy, so that's cool, haha. The game itself is quite simple, but it works :) It looks & sounds alright, so all in all, good job!
Good job on finishing, even though you didn't like the theme much. The concept is pretty solid, but the implementation felt a bit glitchy at times. Sometimes I lost my ability + potion without having passed through a barrier, which made it impossible to solve the level. But otherwise it's pretty cool!
Holy shit, this game had me rage quit a lot :D But I'm very proud I didn't give up and won in the end :)
Awesome game! Absolutely hilarious and also looking & sound pretty good!
It's hard as hell though, holy shit :D
It's a simple game, but it looks & sounds alright :) Well done!
Cool game, man. Congrats on finishing your first entry! I hope you keep at it and improve with each LD :)
Well done on finishing a game for your first LD! Getting an entry submitted at all is half the challenge :)
The game itself is pretty nice. I like the mechanic where you can manipulate the level. It's a bit of a shame there is no audio, but given the fact you've switched genre mid-jam, it's impressive you made something this coherent at all.
Keep it up!
This game is pretty cool! I'm amazed how much you got done in the short 48 hours of the compo, as not only does the art look quite detailed and there's sfx and music, there's also quite a bit of content! The coins are a clever way to have some extra replayability. Very nice all in all, well done!
I've had a blast playing this game. Sadly drawing a proper circle with the touchpad of my laptop proved nearly impossible, haha.
Good job!
This game is really awesome. As someone already said, programming games are always appealing to me.
How many puzzles are there in total? I haven't finished the game yet, but I'll keep playing until I do for sure!
It runs great on Mac by the way, good job :)
I'm so sad this game only runs on Windows. From the description, the game seems hilarious, but I'm on a Mac ;__;
Cool game! I got a highscore of 11 so far. Too bad there's no audio. I think with a little polish, this could be pretty good.
Cool game! It took me a little while to understand what to do, because it's not a custom here that cashiers put the groceries in a bag for you, haha.
Detecting if someone's a minor or not is a little hard, but otherwise it works very well. I like the little math element you've added, it makes it something special and unique.
Have you ever seen a game called "Bag It!"? It's a mobile game which is also about putting groceries in bags.
This is a cool, albeit simple, little game. I like the graphics a lot! Managed to get a score of 4580, I'll try again for more points as the game is pretty addictive!
It's a cool idea, but the clunky controls and lack of hints and tools in-game make it a very hard nut to crack.
The style is interesting though. Keep it up!
The audio is pretty cool, dude! The graphics are alright, but the platformer feel could use some work imho. Especially the jumping / falling is a bit floaty, but I suppose you are on an alien planet, so maybe it makes sense.
I found the first ending pretty quickly, but needed some help finding the true ending.
The best thing is when a monster jumps up. Scary as hell, hahaha.
Thanks for the feedback! I made the text appear twice as fast now, I hope this helps somewhat. I agree that clicking to make it appear at once would also be nice, I'll look into that.
Thanks for the review, Frozen Fractal!
You're right about the randomisation. It annoyed me as well, so I've changed it now so the last 3 events don't occur :)
The concept of managing a dig site is pretty cool. I like that you first have to search before you can actually setup your operation.
I think maybe it would be cooler if the camps spawns workers that don't disappear if there's nothing in their path, but instead walk to a vacant spot?
I like playing business simulation games a lot and there is some potential here, but I feel it needs more refinement to make it really work.
The style of the whole thing is pretty appealing to me. It feels a bit like an old Atari game, which is cool.
Good job!
I always like these mini-game thingies :) It took me a little while to figure out how to charge the time machine (I was focusing on one old computer at a time, instead of keeping them all running), but once I had it going, I managed to beat it pretty quickly!
However one word of warning - the Mac build of this game isn't great. It produced a heavily flickering border which even persisted after I closed the game (!!!). In the end I had to re-install OS X to get rid of it.
I tried to run the Mac version, but it gives an error on launch :'(

After dying 4 times, I decided to hack the game and disable losing hearts when I miss a letter. That made the game much more enjoyable, haha :D
The writing in this game is awesome. I just wanted to read everything, without getting stuck. The jokes are great too. Well done! You made me happy from your humble apartment :)
It's a neat little game. It's cool there are so many different enemy types. Because of the limited hitbox, it feels a bit fiddly from time to time. But pretty cool nonetheless. The colours are nice and bright, the world made me feel good.
Next time, make sure to add some sound, man! :D
This game is mindblowingly good. I can't believe this is a compo entry, good job!
It's very nice how the mechanic and the story integrate. Good job!
I would have liked a little more choice in the later segments of the game, to make it a bit more challenging.
The twist when choosing the 'wrong' ending is very cool. Nice game, all in all :)
Haha, cool game. I thought I was being pretty innovative with my game being about making multiple rooms into one room, but you did the same thing! Only with more action! Gah :D
It's mind boggling this game was made in 48 hours. Truly superb, a fantastic effort.
I've played for about half an hour, but haven't managed to reach the end yet. I'm not very good at platformers to begin with and the puzzles quickly get quite hard. But with infinite retries, it never gets too frustrating. I'll try again later, I'm sure I can manage it in the end.
Congrats on this entry, it feels very solid and looks and sounds great. Well done!
Wow, what a game. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great, and it's very unique and innovative too! Good job on the difficulty curve too, every level is a good step up from the last one.
Incredible effort, well done!
Hahaha, I can't stop laughing. I think this game is great! The beach, the jungle, what kind of building is this? And what are all the animals doing there? Hahaha :D Superb entry, euske, even if it is a little pancakey!
I like the fact you only get your points if you make it out alive, so you can't just keep pushing on. I would have liked to know more about the spells though, it was a bit of a mystery what magic I was casting.
Good effort nonetheless!
It took me a little while to understand how to damage the computer. I did notice the blue portals, but I thought I wasn't able to throw anything at it at first, because they're so high up. After a while I managed though and then it became quite fun :)
It's a real shame this game doesn't have any audio, because I think that could really make it quite a complete experience. Even just a few sound effects could improve it quite a bit I think, because it's otherwise quite complete.
Congrats on the zoom effect at the start by the way, I thought that was a pretty cool way to start the game.
This is a great game. It fits the theme perfectly and it's very unique. The audio sounds good, but the real winner here are the graphics. It looks absolutely fantastic! Especially how the Telematics works and prints its text, it's really quite amazing.
Now of course the main concern is the difficulty. The game is a bit hard. But then again, after figuring out what the messages mean for a while and getting comfortable with the buttons, it is manageable to stay alive for quite a while. And the different endings mean you have different things to try while playing.
All in all a fantastic effort. Well done!
The multiplayer stuff is really quite impressive! Maybe it was a bit too ambitious though, as the single player experience suffered somewhat. You already mentioned the lack of attack animation and the walking into the lava, which are both a bit of a shame.
But nonetheless the concept is great and it's also quite funny, so well done!
Also congrats to amras for the music, it sounds very good :)
Awesome game. Really cool with the online component. I managed to get 37 points on my first try by the way B-)
This game is hilarious, haha. A clever use of the theme too!
Well done on a great entry :D
