Really liking the idea of the game!
Nice presentation and the music is so catchy.
Wario-Ware-like minigame-mania? Count me in!
Nailed it in every category and that transition-scene is pure gold!
Really original concept. One of my favorite entries entries so far.
Neat. Haven't really seen one of these sandbox-simulations that's planet-shaped yet.
A bit confusing at first, but after that it's a surprisingly decent (and hard) puzzle game.
A bit confusing at first, but once I got the concept it's an incredibly tense game. Really like the shaking of the tiles.
Nice graphics and a good difficulty curve. The distance the blocks spawn from the planet could be a bit higher, but fun nontheless.
Very cool combination of 2D and 3D. The sound and graphics are also on point.
Brilliant spin on the theme! Respect for making this work in such a short time.
Finally managed to get more than 60 days! Really addicting and innovative gameplay. The core mechanic is explained very fast through the main menu, although I didn't notice at first that I could use the suns gravity to influence the course of the meteroids and black holes. I'd really like to see this game expanded upon and polished even more.
That's some amazing presentation, both in the audio- and graphics department. Paired with a great theme and fun gameplay, this is a very solid entry.
Nice concept. You really want to play just one more go and try to reach a new highscore, although the random elements can really mess your run up quite a bit.
That's a really cute rocket! Nice gameplay, although maybe a bit too hard.
I've also noticed that some things like the gravity, fuel and steering are framerate dependent. I'm on a 144Hz Monitor and had to switch to 60Hz to play the game as intended. You may want to use UpdateFixed(), or even better make use of Time.deltaTime in your scripts to avoid these problems.
Neat take on the theme. The graphics may be quite simple, but they don't take away from the stressful feeling of leaving the house.
Very great graphics, particularly the shadows. You'll certainly have to play around some of the more annoying bugs, but if you do there's a surprisingly long and fun puzzle game.
Neat idea with an interesting art style.
Wow, that's quite a big game for being made in such little time!
@jorjordandan: Thanks! PICO-8 is really easy to learn, particularly because the source code of every cartridge you play can be viewed with the press of a single button. Very useful for learning purposes.
@dalbinblue: Your score is near my highscore, so that doesn't seem be too bad. The idea of adding a set of different fixed patterns was something I had planned, along with different movement behaviours of enemies, but the time for that got a bit tight.
Cute art. Controls could need some work though. Unless I'm doing something wrong, jumping seems to do nothing most of the time.
Very cool setting and interesting gameplay.
Whoa. There's a lot of content here and a lot of it is also very diverse. And it's backed up by solid gameplay. Only thing to critic would be the theme, which could've been implemented a bit stronger.
Gets very hard very fast.
The effects for shooting and destryoying enemies feel great. Also like the graphical style.
Very original concept for a game. Impressive for the time given.
Surprisingly fun game where quick memorization is the key to success.
Neat. Some of the effects are very nicely done.
Really like the trippy graphics and weird mood. Trying to find the next body can get intense.
Neat graphics and sound, although the screen effects could be a bit toned down.
The gameplay idea is also neat and the jump in particular feels great to use. It took a bit understanding the layout of the titan at first.
Pretty hard game even after you understand the mechanics, but very satisfying once you get it.
Too bad you can't rate this game for humor because the way the cube moves through the level was certainly unexpected and gave me a good laugh.
@tohubohu Yeah, finding a word that fits in a reasonable timeframe was the biggest hurdle and took me a few tries to get right, but after implementing a temporary cache the performance is (mostly) ok.
@akusan @boats
Finding 'everything' is indeed not an easy task. My recommendation is to a create a few vertical words, making heavy use of rerolling those words and once those letters line up to spell 'everything' try to create a horizontal word and reroll until it hits everything. Getting the more rare letters like 'y' and 'v' in place also really helps to reroll into the correct word.
@frank-gevaerts Huh, seems like I accidentally deleted the line of text that explains how rerolling works when I made a modification to the rules. Oops. I'll put up warning for the missing rule. Thanks for the info.
Really cool application of the theme and I'm always down for a rhytm game. Love how the walk-cycle is in sync with the music. The boss fight gives a satisfying conclusion.
Only nitpick I can bring up is that a few patterns start too early and pressing Up/Down simultaneously is a bit awkward.
The shaking animation was surpisingly cute. Very fitting animation and sound effects.
A bit confusing at first but you can't really stay mad at such a cute frog. Really solid presentation.
Well made. Getting a grip of the movement scheme takes a bit of time but controls well once you've learned it.
Fascinating melding of two pretty different games.
Pretty easy (and entertaining) to make dumb mistakes even after you know what to do.
Controls are challenging without getting too frustrating. Map is laid out in a way that's easy too understand but discourages the player from taking the same loop. Super solid entry in all aspects.
Pretty intereting take on the theme. Very stressful at times, so the small breaks between levels are appreciated.
Nice aesthetics and some pretty interesting and challenging level design.
Absolutely solid presentation and gameplay. One thing that's a bit annoying in some of the smaller levels is that groups of flies can spawn outside the catchable are which can screw you over.
Cool concept and nice work on the story. Feels very satisfying to get the perfect shot between planets. I thought I was crashing randomly at first but that turned out to be me going too fast, which is a bit annoying. Great job overall though.
Probably not healthy for my hands or keyboard, but I make it to 382 on my first try. Will likely play again once I've recovered.
Well done choosing a theme and then delivering on it. The boss fight at the end in particular was tense.
@dotsquare Thanks! Outside of Tetris for the holding mechanic, I don't think there's any specific game I had in mind when it comes to the mechanics. That said, I'm a big fan of minimalistic games as well, so those certainly influenced the design of the game in some ways.
@pancelor Congrats. That's pretty amazing with so few attempts. I have to disappoint though. The chime isn't different. At least it shouldn't be. In regards to the persistent holes, that was a bug at first but I also found them to be a nice touch, so the bug was upgrade to a feature.
Very interesting variation of this concept. Will likely play more of it later.
PS: Graphics are completely blurry using Firefox but after switching over to chrome it worked fine.
Almost missed a PICO-8 game if not for your comment (since it wasn't tagged as such when I went through all the PICO-8 tagged games on there).
Simple, but considering the short time spent making it still impressive. Switching to the correct color gets really challenging. Feeling quite stupid waiting for similar colors to spawn and then reading that's not possible. Clever mechanic though.
@thesnide You can add it under "Edit Game" -> "Tags".
You can also find all of the LD48 Pico-8 submissions that were published on itch: https://itch.io/games/tag-ludum-dare-48/tag-pico-8
Outside of I've also found the gaje Diggleloid from Zep (the creator of PICO-8) which was published on the PICO-8 BBS: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=42622
Not only a great idea, but the execution of it is also flawless. Figuring out the navigation and reading of the radar takes a bit of time but once you've got the hang of it it's quite comfortable. Hull integrity is thankfullly quite forgiving, so you don't need to play perfectly to reach the ending. While some stretches were maybe a bit long the mystery kept me going until the end. It's also nice how the you could really feel the difference in the areas despite everything being filtered through dots on a radar.
Really polished game that could work really well on mobile with a bit of refinement of the controls. Creating believable skating slope-physics in this timeframe is an achievement in and of itself. Only thing I can't figure out is how it relates theme, but everything else is superb.
Really fun game. Conveying the feel of the heavy suit is particularly well done.
Interestingly, I did find a spot on the left where you can escape the level. I'm still falling as I'm writing this and at 3000m almost everything is jelly.
Nice dithering effect to make the most of the limited PICO-8 color palette. Interesting gameplay mechanics also.
What can I say? You can't really go wrong with cats and shotguns.
Joking aside, the dual purpose of the shotgun is a great idea and works really well in practice. Not only can you shoot to maneuver out of dangerouse situations, but shooting (at ghosts) is also the thing that brings you into those dangerous situations in the firstplace.
Nice idea to combine Snake with a dash of physics. Puts an interesting spin on how you'd normally play.
Nice idea to design the enemies in a way that their appearance reflects their movement pattern.
Can't say this about many water levels, but the movement in this one was pretty snappy and fun.
Played a few rounds and managed to get to #7. Pretty enjoyable and has a lot of hidden depths. Personally I would've added one or two more colors so that you don't get these giant unwieldy shapes as fast.
A bit confusing to start, but the combat is fun and there's some neat enemy variety.
Thanks for all the feedback so far.
@andy-beers @kurrik Yeah, getting the camera to behave was the most difficult part and it's still not as solid as I'd like.
@pdotjpg Didn't think of that, but I was interested so I tested it. The game lasts a bit longer because the start is noticeably slower but after a few cuts the difficulty quickly catches up again. That said, it gave me a few ideas to play around with for a potential post-jam version.
@bqq @teto @peter-ondus @aguahervida
Yeah, adding some additional indicator for the currently highest number would've been a good idea.
Also, here's my highscore for anyone looking for a challenge. A 38 or even 39 might be doable but a perfect strategy is needed as well as a flawless execution.

Very well polished and fun to play. Good difficulty curve as well.
Pretty hard but a fantastic application of the theme. Well done!
Pretty fun use of the theme. I've probably cheesed it a bit though by 'stalking' a pig and stealing all the food it was about to run into, managing my own weight to stay a bit above.
Really cool concept. The total vision range of the enemies could be a bit clearer, but it's fun to plan an escape route when it gets dicey.
Neat combination of mechanics from a few different games that creates something unique. Plays very well already and has lots of potential if expanded upon.
Nice usage of the theme and twist on the genre. A bit easy to cheese by spamming all pins at once, but that doesn't stop it from being fun to play.
Small game but with the perfect length and amount of mechanics. Nice application of the theme as well.
Really nice concept, particularly the addition of dead tiles to the rules.
Could've been a bit harder, but still very satisfying to play. Graphics, music and sound effects really fit and enhance the gameplay.
Has a bit of a slow start before it actually gets difficult, but nonetheless pretty fun and very well polished.
Very nice visuals. Personally I would've liked some sort of method to make building bigger combos easier, but that doesn't mean that the game isn't already fun as is.
Cool twist on this 'genre' of game. The presentation is also super polished and fitting to the theme.
HTML5 build leads to a '404 - Not Found' page.
Really neat application of the theme into a base builder. Works really well and the different building types are fun to strategize around. Only small annoyance is that you can quite easily throw buildings away on accident by selecting another one before placing the current one.
Nice concept. It's neat how you're also generating cool-looking art while playing.
Surprising amount of content and detail for a jam entry. Well done.
Super solid game in all aspects. Didn't expect that much variety in the ways the different plants grow.
Always love seeing a solitaire game. It's a bit easy once you figure out the trick, but works for a game jam game where you only play the game once or twice.
Got to 310 after a few tries. It's pretty easy to overestimate what you can pack, which leads to a quick game over, which is pretty fun as a mechanic. A small annoyance is that some items don't fit in certain boxes, even when alone, but that's manageable if kept in mind.
Maybe a bit too reliant on luck and the unstable platforms are a bit hard to see. That said, the game is pretty appealing and pushes you to want to win at least once, something that didn't end up happening even after several retries.
Nice twists on this type of game with the folding, bags and choosing the items to pack.
Good variety of challenges and applications of the mechanic for the amount of levels.
Nice interpretation of the theme. Most levels can be pretty easily rushed but some rooms like 22 can quickly become very brutal.
The amount of sunglasses can get a bit out of hand, but it's a nice game with some cool details like the water effects.
Got to 52 points. Presentation and gameplay is solid and enjoyable. I particularly liked the glow, which helps you locate the next fruits. A few basic sound effects would've been appreciated, but that's how game jams go.
Neat concept. Would've loved to play more, but the 4th level has me completely stumped.
Edit: Went back to this game and figured it out.
