@s-ol I just tried out the lastest build of the game on Ubuntu 17.04. It is working here. You can see the main menu but can't press any buttons on the screen? Which Linux distribution are you using?

Overall a good and cute little game. I love the idea of running in a wheel to power a whole space ship :grin:
I loved the concept! Really something new.
Sadly I got stuck at the level with the 3 sine oscillators on top of each other and a splitter. (Reading the comments I wasn't the only one) Also, it didn't make sense for me that I got a different signal when connecting the oscillator directly to a phase and when I had a splitter in between.
Controls are fine and I think that actually jumping instead of just point-and-click around added a lot to the game feel. Would love to see a more polished version later!
Very interesting concept! Reminded me a bit of TTD except that instead of managing the train, you are controlling it. If you want to improve it, you could try to add some kind of dynamic gameplay or a random map generator, but I really enjoyed (and completed) it anyway!
**Thanks a lot to all of you for the great response so far!** :grin:
@liquidbrain @mortus Yeah, the physics was easily the hardest part for me to create. I've actually wasted like an hour or more to try to get Unity's effector to work, but in the end, I coded my own simulation.
Also while I can't promise anything, we are taking a look at on how to continue work on the game after LD. We still have tons of ideas!
@rednw @capitals @mathiouza The physics is surely not perfect yet. Also, it's quite difficult to know how to quickly get an orbit if you haven't played something like KSP. :grin:
It's definitely something to improve post LD!
@wolar I pushed an update to the mac branch on itch. I accidentally zipped the .app folder itself. It should work now. Thanks for telling us!
@larx Impressive score! :grin:
@besslaaneshi The rotation of the ship is not saved right now as far as I know. Also you might be orbiting a star? Stars can't be scanned. Adding an indicator in the UI for this would probably be helpful.
@novotmike Orbiting a planet with the scanner turned off is very brave :grin:
Yeah, the game is really complex and it kinda throws everything at you at once. The tutorial is good, but not enough. This is something that we will definitely change post-jam.
I've played through the first few levels and it was really fun! The energy mechanic is very unique and I love a good challenge! But I think that the character physics might be a bit hard to control consistently. It's still really fun!
