good concept, and loved the music

i loved the glitch effect, the fishing rod mechanics and well balanced sound effects.
A fun to play game for the Jam. Control does take a while to get used to, Other than that pretty cool game!
Really smooth gameplay, it has the RPG element in it. love the weapon idea!
Unique concept & a fun to play game, liked it!
Finally a unique game concept in this jam. The voice addition was a plus point, graphic was really cool, humorous & intriguing gameplay. Loved it!
A deep philosophical game with a great art style!
I really liked the pixel art & loved the game vibe.
Really fun to play game. The game gets more interesting as you go deeper & deeper. Wished there were more missiles, dodging those sea creatures was fun aswell as tough. Overall - had a great fun playing it till the end.
man, the music is so catchy i can't get off my head. at first the 3rd level was so hard but after finding out the usage of arrows it was a game changer
loved the game concept. the controls was tricky at first but after a while i got used to it. and loved the camera movement on how it follows the car. I wish the parking space's aread2D was a bit bigger.
this is a really addicting game and really good pixel art. Loved it. My score so far is 38  . Quick question, is the rocket blast off's fire particles generated through code or is it a spritesheet ? because it looks really amazing.
the art looks great and the game seems really interesting from the screenshots. Wanted to try the game but had only windows build. Would love to have the linux build may in future game jams :penguin:
its very rare to see a card based game in this jam at-least for me so far. Overall the concept is really straight forward and well executed. well done.
I can really see the potential in this game. Loved the game mechanics. with the few additions of animations and power-ups it can be a game changer. enjoyed playing it. I recommend it to play this game. :trophy:
man this is really good. good graphics with good music. some levels were hard but enjoyed it. would be a plus to have a hints option in each level.
at first was just connecting dots but got really interesting after level/score 24 :D i got to 28 so far. simple but well executed and the music matched the game perfectly.
actually, the game concept for this theme is really good. I was stuck for a while when clicking the arrow direction and after a while.. boom u can rotate the entire object with middle mouse click, it totally changed the game feel. next time i should read the controls description before playing the game.
loved the game concept. enjoyed playing it. all full 5 ratings from my side  good entry.
man.. it took me nearly 1.30min to pass level 2. And i was so happy and when i saw level 5, I shit my pant  No way u can pass that level. I will be really happy to know the one who pass that level :see_no_evil:
I think this is the first pico-8 game i played in this jam. runs really smoothly. Liked it. The pattern matching itself is a challenging one. I only managed to score 840 so far. Good take on the theme.
i'll have to admit its a bit tricky after time goes on. the magic tool is the right mouse click to remove the blocks which i only found out really late  enjoyed playing it. loved the game concept.
loved the game. And on top of that its made in awesome PICO-8. I like how the memories count starts from where it was left when re-playing. And loved the camera reset option 'Z' to the facing direction. Enjoyed playing and won the game  :trophy: ram.png ram_win.png
really enjoyed playing this game. neat and clean. I loved the ability to push the ship's pieces out of the bottle and insert it back. This game really needs a good game cover-image so, that more will come to play this game. Oh just a info the linux build :penguin: directly opened the page which is just a binary data but not a big deal I just downloaded it by 'save link as..' option. Completed the second level here :smiling_imp: ship.png
came from the feedback. Wanted to try the game but had only the windows build. Would love to have the linux build aswell :penguin: . by the way the art looks really amazing from the screenshot :dart:
really liked the animation. When opening the treasure chest, I mostly get turd & massive-turd :poop:  no joke, its real in this game. Just curious, is that generated randomly or by a level progress ? its really funny game. Wished there were a variety of levels. liked it playing though.
I actually enjoyed playing this game. The level design is perfect. I unlocked the 'no oxygen' mode. Which was really difficult :smiling_imp: This game has a potential. Keep up the good work. And well done. :first_place: recoil.png
interesting take on the theme. was throwing the boxes in portalfor 2min & becomes harder after after a while. I see a potential on this game. u should keep working on this game even after the jam is over.
cool scary concept perfect for Halloween. at first i thought we can shoot the zombies with left mouse click but later realized the theme was to survive. was fun playing. good work.
I like the game concept and the battle system while exploring. e.g when pressing space key, you have to be really accurate to get the hit. Which makes the player more engaging. I noticed there is a slight lag when u encounter a new object/entities while pressing the movement key but not a big deal. Liked the game.
loved the game concept. I like how it gets smaller if you don't eat the lizard. And the concept to fill the entire space with the blob trails was fantastic.
really nice concept and the music blended perfectly. This is the game done right with a good in game tutorial :gift_heart: Loved it and enjoyed playing
the graphics really stood out the most. the most satisfying thing was ability to cast a spell against birds. loved the strategy driven in this game. but one problem i found was - when i clicked the seal-cup icon, i wasn't able to scroll the page.
enjoyed playing it. The level design are really well thought and i see the love in making this game. But would love to have a tight controls instead of having a inertia based control because the level itself a challenging one. It would give the player more freedom to move. Other then that, loved it.
first of all, really good game-cover image. not a lot can pull that out. I enjoyed playing it. would be really cool to have some kind of flashy anticipation before coming in contact with the worms. so that the player knows something is coming. keep up the good work.
good take on the game theme. My CPU was crying with all those bullets :smiley_cat: Would have been awesome to hear the Gatling firing sound.
my favourite attack is smashing with the big foot :feet: Enjoyed playing. Hitting with the tail was a bit hard for those tanks. Loved the colours used in the art aswell.
first of all i love the music in this game "top notch". good use of the day n night cycle and one thing that stood out was the ability to connect the root to water for nutrition during night.
interesting take on the turn based game. I only found out the importance of the inventory system, once i lost the battle. but was fun to play and loved the concept.
this game is fantastic. Loved the art and game design. Reminded me of the gold old flash days. By the way i played inside the linux's virtual machine, was a bit slow there but enjoyed playing it. I wished there was a linux build aswell :penguin:
this one is actually good. really good take on the calssic snake game. i can see the potential in this game. enjoyed playing it and loved the music. yah keep working on it after the jam ends aswell.
loved the concept. i was randomly placing stuff on the ship until i saw the food stores board. then it got interesting. Placing water box is always the easiest one. The challenging one is the luxury food. but overall good job.
we do have pretty similar concept especially with the stage walls. i.e stage getting narrower and narrower as time progress. But thing that stood out was the ability to expand the stage on hitting the red moths and getting narrower slowly. Which made it really fun to play. Loved it. Wished the red moths spawned more often. My highest score is: girder.png
wow.., :scream_cat: the concept is really cool and catchy and good use of the energy meter aswell. After level2, i got to 'congratulations' screen. And i was like that's it ? Wishing for more level and with sounds/music aswell. Enjoyed playing it. :whale:
really nice presentation. liked the game atmosphere. and great use of the theme.
Just by reading the comments, I wanted to try this game but it only has the windows build. Wished there was a linux build :penguin: :video_game:
If more time was given, I can definitely see the potential in this game. Loved the game concept, level design and how the camera zooms to the player at the beginning. There are few bugs like when there are more enemies & chases the player there is a lag. But its a time limited jam and I can see that. Good job on finishing the game. my highest score was 9449 :high_brightness:
@dsfan thanks for the great feedback. yah, since u mention that. i totally forgot to disable the hit-area check once the enemy is dead while attacking to player  and for the last issue - before uploading the game, i was implementing the pause/resume functionality on clicking the outside of the game-area and text 'paused' is missing aswell  lesson learned. it might be coz. of that incomplete functionality we see that bug in the game. i'll keep that in mind. thanks for playing and QA testing. really appreciate it
@dovodx It's really hard to find an honest feedback. I really appreciate it. Sometimes there's a long periods gap for enemies to spawn isn't it - yah, i also noticed that recently  It might be because of the wait-timer i was creating that responds to the delta-time. For the second issue, i agree with you. I should have made a more balancing hit and attack ratio to the enemy while keeping the weapons in check all round  And for the sound loop, i'll keep that in mind for the next game jam, thanks. yep, lesson learned and again thanks for playing and giving an honest feedback.
@boxedmeatrevolution "...and sometimes I got hit by enemy hitboxes which weren’t actually there" -> yah just recently found out about this bug  i forgot to disable the hit-area check once the enemy is dead while attacking to player. And for other issue "...sometimes fell off the screen, or knocked enemies off the screen" -> since i was using simple AABB collision and because of the overlap must have caused tunneling issue  I'll keep that in mind and fix that later in the git repo. Thanks for taking a time to to play and providing a really helpful feedback.
reminded me of a mario n64 game and i can see the inspiration for the camera movement. Looks really good. enjoyed playing it. And I'm really impressed that u wrote the game using the tools u listed during the jam.
@dovodx after your great feedback, I came here and just noticed u made this game in Godot. But no linux build ? when there is no linux build when using Godot, somewhere in the world the penguin dies  :penguin: I love to test and play your game as a fellow dev. Would love a build for linux aswell. Thanks.
@dovodx finally, thank you for the linux build. And it runs smoothly without any issue :penguin: :v: . The music fits the game perfectly and loved the vibe of the game. My highest score was 850 so far  and enjoyed playing it. would love to have the camera zoom-out a bit in a third person view when pressing back while coming in contact with the enemy. oh and the enemy radar was a super addition to the game. well done.
I just came here for the art ad it delivered that. The gameplay is really straight forward. good take on the turn based game. enjoyed it. Is the sound/music missing or is it just my browser ?
When i first clicked the game, I was like..i saw that logo somewhere.. Its really good to see a game made with OpenBOR. I reached to level 5 so far. I Wished the level continued from the same level when re-playing. Apart from that, the music blended perfectly with gameplay. Simple graphics with addicting gameplay. Loved it.
loved playing it. liked the game concept. With just a few clean up touches and addition of few animations and stages, this game has a potential in the mobile game market. Keep up the good work.
would love to have a visual tutorial inside the game because the hint text on the far right-hand side in the game was a bit blurry and hard to read for me. but loved the game design and the art. enjoyed playing it.
just by looking at the video trailer and the description the game looks amazing. I wanted to play and test it but unfortunately, there is only windows build. Would love to have the linux build aswell :penguin:  . so, for now, i'll just give a rating based on the trailer
really fun and addicting game. I can really see the potential in the mobile gaming market. loved it. my highest score is 55. ss.png
super nice game. Loved the game concept. Enjoyed playing it. btw i re-played it twice, just to take the screenshot. good job with the entry  from my side all full 5 ratings ghostly_gravity.png
really a clean pixel art and loved the colour contrast overall. As for the gameplay, u made a good use of the game physics. would have been a plus point, if theres a game hint on how to progress further. I only found out what to do after playing 2 min. but loved the concept. good one.
only figured out the gameplay after doing a random clicks. but once i understood the strategy, it got interesting. just an info, when using WASD to move the camera, would love to have the camera follow the direction with an ease-tween instead of move-n-snap effect. Overall, has a really good atmosphere and graphics.
nice entry. love vim motions.
i see the programmer's art at its finest there  loved the game concept though 'to survive being alone'. With the addition of few animations and music would have made the game even better to play. enjoyed playing it.
really a well thought game for the theme limited space. and the graphics are so cute, loved when the octopus smiles.
i just came here from the feedback and wanted to play it but had only the windows build. Would love to have the linux build :penguin: maybe for next game jam. So, for now i'll just give my rating based on graphics & mood category as seen from the screenshot pics. because it seems the game is made with love and passion
the movements was really difficult at the beginning. after that phase, i was getting used to it. I felt like the player movement was little be fast time to time if u pressed long enough. but yah, the game concept was really goo. loved the level design.
really nice pixel art and loved the parallax effect to the background plus the music. It's good to see the bullet-hell genre game in this jam. I wish there were random objects spawning like the shields and different types of shooting bullets for player aswell. I Made it this far  space.png
the sound track is really scary in a good way. Loved the game level design and the pixel art. I think the player movement is little bit fast isn't it? would love to have the controls like the Mario/splunky in this game. Keep up the good work.
this is a great achievement on a first game and with Godot. Would be really interesting to have a variety of dinosaurs to make the player more engage. one tip is try experimenting with different colour palette instead of all green. There are some really good palette in "lospec.com/palette-list". Overall, i enjoyed playing it. love to see more. good job
enjoyed playing it. loved the art, music and the ability to cancel bullets with bullets. I wished the bullets were blocked by the small obstacles like stones aswell not just the player. Which in-turn will act as the shield but yah i see the player is given more HP as level progressed. And at the end, I rescued the lady with the orange hair who was sleeping :smiling_imp:
the linux build didn't worked on my machine. Had to run inside a virtual machine  was a bit slow there. but loved the game concept. enjoyed playing it.looks good.
loved the story, music and the gameplay. Just a one nitpick, sometimes we can't chop the trees. you have to be at a certain distance to do it. Is that a bug or by a design? other than that loved it.
really interesting concept. one thing i really like about is that, when manoeuvring objects it can break aswell. so u need to be really careful. Liked it. good one
i liked how u have presented the in-game tutorial and story at the early stage of the game. And the game concept itself is really interesting. At first I thought it was a Space Invaders but surprised how well the theme was handled. really good job on nailing that. I wished there were more animations on explosions and space movements. liked it
Loved the game concept. The platform itself is an obstacle and the life-saver. Enjoyed playing it. Only missing thing was the sound/music.
interesting approach on tower-defence like game, it matched the theme. My state was "victory" with "diffculty 5" & "enemies defeated 191". Just a info- the game doesn't run on this ludum's embedded page coz. of cross-origin with godot project but played on the itch.io link.
the elements for the platformer games are there and a solid progress for a first platformer game. Here are few tips for making a platform games speeding the development process: - first try to nail down the core game mechanics using just the geometry shapes or a static image as a player or enemies. - after that add the levels with just the shapes. - Once thats done and happy, add sounds/music. - And finally, is to add the sprites, animations and all the juice to the game. - Keep up the good work and keep making games.
i like how we have to fit the entities in a tight space bag like a puzzle piece. It matched the theme perfectly. The thing that stood out the most was the tiny rocket men running and the jokes.
i wanted to try this game. But the embedded game doesn't work in the page. It shows 404 error with index.html missing and there's no linux build :penguin:
I liked the game idea and is really addicting to play. Can be a hit game if launched on mobile platforms.
It took me a while to pass the 2nd stage but got used it after that. The puzzle mechanics is really well designed and I loved playing it. Good job.
Enjoyed playing it. I wish we could use the ability to spew/throw the soaked enemies in places like the obstacles. And really nice pixel art.
really nice game. I loved how the physics is used here and a beautiful graphics. Now, Sonic the hedgehog has a true challenger here.
It took me a while to figure it out the gameplay but after that I loved it. I wished there was a in-game tutorial at the beginning just to navigate around. But really a nice game concept and a beautiful pixel art.
After I entered the Monster's mouth with tag 2113574 , the screen suddenly zoomed out with black screen, is that an bug or how do we get past that ? By the way, Nice game concept, liked it. Took a while to get used to the controls but after that enjoyed playing it.
I couldn't get past the level 7. Any tips ? But loved the game's puzzle design and really beautiful art! Yeepiii..
The game concept is really good. I wished there was a hot-key just to zoom in/out the camera relative to the player. Enjoyed playing it.
@bigwhiteshogun Thanks. Yah I followed the PICO-8 limitation approach when making this game.
@jscommander Thank you. That means a lot to me. You are Awesome! :trophy:
@wegpast Thank you.
I couldn't get past the level 6. Any tips ? Really nice game. Loved the game concept and great sound fx.
The friction at the end of movement made the game challenging in a good way and I liked it. I reached the last level and after getting the key i was unable to pass the door. Is that done on purpose ? Screenshot_20241008_231147.png
such a lovely game. I never thought playing as a spider is so much fun. Now I love spiders :spider: Screenshot_20241009_234911.png
Loved the game mechanics. Ability to use the sticky web ball as a platform is a nice addition. Enjoyed playing it. I hope you continue working on it.
Loved the game and enjoyed playing it.It brought back fond memories of 'Age of War'. And plus Point for having the tutorial.
really Nice pixel art, good gameplay and loved playing it. By the way, that ending hahahaa
Wow, what a clean graphics. I really liked it. After the credits rolled out, I thought it was over but breaking news from LDTV said it ain't  . And really good gameplay.
hahaha, "Double kill". Now I can't get that out of my head. Nice game concept around the usage of the lens to find and kill those mites.
Was really enjoyed playing it but after spawning few skeletons it felt slow on my old laptop and had to switch to my other pc just to play it. Loved the game art and really has a cool aesthetic look.
I couldn't pass beyond wave 2 and kept trying it but that was the farthest I got. I wish the bullet hit box was a bit bigger, so that I could kill those pink creatures with ease. But man, I loved the Art style chosen for this game and nice sfx. Loved it overall.
Sometimes I get "Warning: write error: FS error". But loved the art and the story of the game. I want more..
Had fun playing it :smiley_cat: I'm an ant smasher giant!. Loved the crt filter effect used in the game and the music really fits the game. Good job.
