Game is definately cool and have a lot of potential. Delivery theme is a bit strained but overall is fine considering you really need to plan the deliveries wisely with upgrades. Also my micro-controling skills from sc2 helped me at finishing line when things went messy and fast. Love the camera movement when clicking on the ship. Would be great to see: - ability to cancel the choice of the order before placing if I change my mind - upgrades for buildings - building's health bars, range info/visualisaion - difficulty choices (too easy for a guy like me). After the first try I came up with a strategy which leaded me to the victory pretty easily - maybe different colors for enemies to distingwish them more easily

Like from me. Very interesting mechanic, it took me a couple of runs to figure out why boxes are colored and why they have a box place inside them. The difficulty progression is so straightforward and natural once you realize about nesting boxes, very cool. Yeah, minimal sound effect would make this game even better. Also might be a small suggestion, sometimes in the beginning you receive an out task with input which you haven't placed into storage yet (I was confused a bit when I couldn't find it) but once I learned it's in the tasks also I could continue. image_2023-10-03_091452257.png

Funny game, interesting concept with cloning and different types of enemies. It was a bit to hard on 3 or 4 level when if you don't manage to deal with enemies fast they just clone so much you can't outdamage that, maybe set a limit to cloning or increase time is some cases.

Great visual style, love it. The player movement may seem a bit slow, but fits the balance I guess. Firstly I thought I was blocking with fire button, cause hands went up, actually it was firing, some sort of projectiles would fit very well.

Cool game, liked the graphics, the music, the mood overall. However I don't know what to do on day 6, is this a bug or am I missing something? There is no place for 3d car, I'm stuck. Also sometimes when I full screen and press esc and back to full screen my character bugs and controls don't work. Was a bit confused about where is my health bar but noticed how my potions were ending :D. Liked the overall gameplay although it was pretty simple and not as challenging as I would expect. With a concept like that I think there's a lot of room for improvement, and for a compo I think it's decent result.

Actually very good atmosphere in this game, I love the background sound and effects, this game is actually scary even in daylight with headphones, that's impressive. Took me a couple of tries to figure out how to proceed further(I finally found the first gate card) - nice level design. Couple suggestions: - my PC mouse sensitivity is pretty high, an option to reduce it in the game would be nice - the texts "press F to pickup" should be centered to the windows, sometimes they're upside down based on where the player is looking - being able to open gates without removing the weapon in hands would be more natural, although it increases the panic level which is not bad considering the horror genre - to take another item it's not very obvious that you should drop the one in the inventory first, maybe auto item replacement on pickup would be better, or a message that the inventory is full - that one fast screaming creature really increased my anxiety levels, not gonna say thanks for that, but good job - somewhat of instant animation or sound upon pressing reload button would give more expected feedback (pistol) on the start I wasn't sure if it started reloading after pressing R or not. The shotgun feedback is good - I think I got a bug when I reloaded the shotgun and couldn't fire, it just won't work until a creature got me - probably some more health would feel more natural, dying to one contact with a creature sometimes frustrating, when you progressed in the game

Nice game, liked the grind and searching for loots. The music may be a bit too intense. Some hit/got hit audio feedback would be nice. The attack animation and hitboxes sometimes felt weird, sometimes a hit knockbacks the enemy, but deals no damage, sometimes it kills them.

Very cool game, loved the art, soundtrack is so good also. At first was a little bit confused how the market works but later I realized how exactly. The balance might be a bit off or I was lucky, didn't have any trouble almost from the start and secured the advantage to the end game.

Cool game, liked the art, music, responsive controls. Control keys might be a bit not so comfortable, but after a few runs I got used to it. Maybe to jump on space would be more natural than on K.The arrow drops might be inconsistent, sometimes they drop fine, sometimes you ran out of them and stuck on melee weapon. Also sometimes when I hit enemy first (there was no attack animation from the enemy yet) I still get hit like it was, but just without proper animation. Also I think the same happens when I kill an enemy, I see his dead body, but still receive a hit and lose hp. Also sometimes in the start of the game on this page, when I left click from outside the play area and press few buttons, like jump or attack the player got stuck and enemies can't deal damage image_2023-10-04_100257392.png

First of all I like the UI with that animated vortex which is used in game. Secondly I like the ship movement, very responsive and intuitive. Some sort of audio feedback would be great for a game like this, wish you'd add some. I scored 100 in 60 seconds and enjoyed the play. Also I think that might not be the intended mechanics - to do 180 (but also receive a hit from magnet) but I liked using it :)

Hey, amazing game! I loved the style, the music, the gameplay. The physics looks so cool and how you can bubble the projectiles with the character and still if their path is directed to the player you get damage. Everything fits just perfect. The difficulty might be a bit hard I was struggling sometimes to dodge the projectiles with the bubble delay but I enjoyed the challenge.

Very funny entry. First I tried to take everybody because "I DONT LEAVE MY MEN BEHIND", all who could fit - inside, one on the roof, one on the hood, when the one on the roof fell I felt bad for him but kept going, when the one on the hood fell under the front tires I was kinda worried, but that seemed to work and I had some hope until he fell down into textures xD. P.S. you should change the car service place because whoever made those tires and trunk lock should get fired

A few suggestions, sometimes items fall rate was kinda slow, had to hang out at the bottom to wait for them. Also pretty consistent when I was clicking attack non-stop it would stuck the animation, but the attack actually was working (I don't think there was a cooldown or something)

Liked the game. The birds movement is very responsive and the sheep movement too. Good job on balancing overall, it's quite catchy sometimes to make sheep move where you want them too. The upgrade menu sometimes showed the descriptions, sometimes not, but was not a big problem cause if I see a plus sign - I click on it :D. Although after some levels the game seemed to become relatively easy, there were lot's of sheep and it wasn't challenging anymore to catch them. Don't know, maybe I just figured out better fly paths or maybe did good at choosing upgrades

@ellaris thank you. Will definitely take a look at diagonal movement while I'm certain to make post-jam version with minor improvements. About vertical dinos falling at an angle I think this is actually a visual illusion since horizontal dinos move pretty fast later and the background color and texture is just monotonous unless there is a bug (unlikely). I also had my friend complaining that character moved slower to the left and faster to the right - this is actually caused by the same reasons I explained (and by poor skill and making textures, I just couldn't make something with different colors and shapes at that moment)

Unfortunately I can't really test this build on a linux machine (I even had quite big problems fixing build errors on windows), and the first one build for windows was broken and I replaced it right away with a new one, but the linux build remained untouched, so that might have been the same reason, can't tell. I tried to rebuild the original version (JurassicEscape-linuxbuild_fix.zip) if you would like to try again

@henk thanks, yeah, it was not easy, but was totally worth the shot. Not sure if I understand exactly what you are talking about, but in the post-jam version I reworked the movement and now it considers delta time, it's sort of a common algorithm I think, so it may be exactly what you are talking about, also I did already add diagonal movement and wasd support, will do some other things and upload more polished version of the game later if someone would like to try it.

@henk thanks for the example. Honestly I struggle to see some difference in controls rather than you have different formula and I need to adjust numbers to match my current player's speed. Other than that everything looks pretty much the same. Currently I have this code: ``` direction = direction.Normalized(); direction = direction * _speed * (float)delta; MoveAndCollide(direction * _speed * (float)delta); ``` Also if I use your example when I get hit by a dino while pressing move keys player is actually throwed much further than intended, so I think I better stick to with my current variant.

Nice idea. Liked the graphics and sounds. Don't know if it's intended, but when I was turning with an item too fast, it was being dropped. Also when I filled my cart with some items and placed the heavy barrel above it was making noises non-stop for 3-4 seconds even when I left it and without any visual changes. This happened with some other items too, it looks like the physics thing, but should've been much shorter I think. Overall good one, and the cage was so damn scary to touch again when I heard the pet screaming :D.

Liked the game of the game atmosphere, the lighting aspect, also sometimes it is a little bit hard to navigate. Sometimes you don't really know where to jump or go and just yolo into the darkness. Some textures were like very similar to the ones you run on, but have no collisions so you jump right through them(like the one group of blocks where the first water drop was), that is a little bit misleading, not sure if that was intended.
