Sweet movement. Looks nice, I enjoyed the laser and thruster effects especially. Solid text in the end credits. ;)

Hi! Cool player model and a simple, yet enjoyable idea. Nice addition of leveling up your character between rounds.
Could do with some extra juice from the combat since that is the main focus, when hitting the rats (for example a bleeding effect) or an attack animation. The sounds are great for that but visual feedback goes a long way.
Good entry, thanks for sharing!
Unique and fun! Difficulty definitely increased with the amount of bots, fitting the theme. I often wanted a regret button or to erase just part of the drawn paths. That would be at the top of my wishlist. I'm always impressed with an audio package as well, nicely done! Thanks for sharing.
Not sure why the chickens are up on that line, but I like it. Good entry.
Now isn't this depressing.. Haha funny entry that was more challenging than I expected, maybe social media celebrities deserve more credi.... nah. As others have said, great atmosphere with sound and graphics. Lamp to the left scares me (is that blood?!).
Fun entry! Very enjoyable, got to 110 gold on my second try. Figured out how to kill the dragons which made it a lot more entertaining! The music fits well too.
I'd like a more detailed main character since the dragons look pretty great. Speaking of dragons, I enjoy their AI and sound effects, they're sweet as a whole. As for the theme, I'd like to see more of an implementation there, since it's not far from it. Perhaps having more gold making you slower (same with dragons).
Thanks for sharing!
@tvance I hear you! As it turns out 48hours is not as much time as you'd want, especially with sleep getting in the way :)
Interesting!
Nice polish and atmosphere. More interaction would be on top of the wishlist.
Wow nicely done, impressed. Beautiful graphics!
Audio was cracking for me a bit though when shooting.
Love the duck but ending made me cry 0/10. Nah nice entry, priority on audio is refreshing
Leave my carrots alone! I'm slaughtering bunnies and feel no remorse, is that okay? They do have red eyes after all.. Funny idea, wouldn't mind finding weapons of some kind lying around, to really give 'em what they deserve ;)
Shitty job! Selling coffee that is, not by you ;) Got to 320$. Would like to see a way to spend my cash after all my hard work! Lovely graphics and well implemented idea
Love it, beautiful visuals and feels great to play. Got sucked right in. Fascinated by how the darkness altered the environment, unique idea! Would love playing a continuation of this with a controller, well done you two
Love the minimalistic art and funny gameplay concept! Wish there was more of a challenge but definitely a starting-off point. Solid entry :)
I'm behind this idea 100%, delay as long as possible! Haha unique concept with quality visuals. Don't know how he could sleep with every limb in his face but more power to him ;)
Haha! You got me laughing by myself with that Seinfeld bit.. I was into it, great job :)
Unique and cool graphics, and I like the gnome AI, yeah you better run. Kept wanting to aim with my mouse and strike behind me, maybe would feel smoother, don't know how that would handle with a controller though
Really fun. Simple as that. Unique idea, felt great when you got a flow going!
Genuinely fun, hitting multiple in quick succession and maybe sometimes missing and running after the ball like a fool. Wet. like. water. (if you know you know). Great entry :)
So cute! Nice graphics, unique concept! I'm completely against the idea of delaying spring so I'd rather play as the old dude but oh well..
Unique take on an auto battler, leveling up a hero as you watching him/her fight.. Could feel even better with more choices either with more leveling or maybe finding chests and you get to pick one out of three items or something. Really interesting concept, well done! :)
Fun game once I found the "Slot" purchasing button :D Gameplay feels polished and the idea of random upgrades kept things fresh, well done :)
Wow, reality really kicked my ass. - me
Really enjoy the unique idea for this, never would've thought of it! Couldn't stop myself from play tetris with the batteries. Battetris? .. aaanyway great first entry! Made it to ~50 seconds
(And to reply to comments use @theirname and they will get a notification. So like: @sophie-s hi)
Really fun and unique concept, well implemented! Cute graphics as well, nice wave and love the crab :)
More lovely game! You found time for everything, even quality presentation. As a first ever jam and you blow most competition away, hope to see more from you. And I don't even like bugs
Cool idea and well implemented! At first I tried to angle my shots to get more than one, then I discovered sweeping the laser, real eye-opener.. Felt great, nice graphics and dig the music, solid entry :)
Really cool idea, impressive visual storytelling! Cute, scary characters, and a fascinating main mechanic you came up with. Perfect audio that really sets the mood. Only thing I'd change is the targeting of the lightning, it gets frustrating when it misses or when you miss the timing. I get that you made the enemies jump when they got close to avoid the attack, which is a neat idea, but I'd consider skipping that part and just have it as a radius around the player. Aiming is for me not priority or interesting part of your game
Great job though, I'd say keep going!
Very funny idea lmao, nice music and animations. A bit more physics like knocking the customers around a little and placing it in an actual shop environment instead of out in the wilds would set the mood better. Anyway great job!
Wow! This is addicting, cute graphics and an impressive take on this genre, especially for an LD!! Scary boss, until I beat it B)
@mdotedot @dollcoded @jackaljk @ninnec Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree with you all on the current item information being too much, especially with the 10 second timer.. Wanted to have it complex enough to not be clear which item is the best right away, but needs new design. If I do anything with a post compo, this is first priority!
@ryan-ackermann Shield spammer smh (thanks for playing )
@alaah Oh unfortunate. I think I've unlocked the standalone version for everyone now, my bad! Thanks for telling me
Disclaimer: Standalone version still has the bugs I fixed in browser, but it is as I submitted it. A certain nunchuck guy might be difficult but good luck
Way too addictive puzzle game, impressive! I know I've played a mobile game similar to this but can't remember the name (and I'm not thinking about tetris). Wish I could make columns as well, seems like it fits :)
Great entry!
Cute funny game! Getting waterskiing to feel nice with Unity physics is impressive to me. Also watched your video, I wish I could be mostly finished on Saturday.. that sounds relaxing. Thanks for the entry and good luck with your main project! :v:
Amazing job all around! Sick vfx, cute solid 3d with intense fun. Using the best part from God of War, love it. Congrats.
Cool idea for the theme! Made the otherwise regular side-scrolling shooter feel unique. I like the beam and particles! :) As others and yourself mentioned above, the platforming could've been smoother which would make it feel a lot better. Fitting music and sound effects too, nice job!
Nice! This was fun, sweet main character and really well made music which fit with the 10 second timer, kind of stressful  Fun implementation of color
I will not rest until I beat you!!! (Got way too into this) Nice job! Have played something similar on my phone at an airport and I also got hooked by that. Cool implementation and decent graphics as well
Nice unique entry! The simple graphics are quite effective and charming. The transforming sound works well and the story is interesting. Reminds me of Moon Knight with the black-outs
Honestly way too good of an idea. Felt very engaging saving shots for multiple targets, and then unloading right before the fire resets. Almost wish I could see even less in the dark to really make me appreciate the light.
Fun, responsive and cute!
This is my type of gameplay, loved it! Not a fan of the Lights Out one, hard to hear the attack over your sick ass beatboxing (nice soundtrack!). Won't find many like this, thanks you! :)
Smooth racing controller made it automatically really fun!! Good AI, and very cool implementation of the theme, impressive all around! Kudos! :ok_hand:
Cute and chaotic! I’m really impressed by the presentation. Finding time for audio is one thing, making it actually sound nice is another, but also creating a mute button for it is on another level! I’d like some of your time management skills..
Very impressive, and as a first game jam at that! :) The retro filter really worked and helped with enemies being simple capsules. I would like if there was some feedback for when you hit the enemies, confused me at times. Difficult which I like, the injection part made it very engaging.
Thumbs up! Hope you had fun making it too and that I see you on the next one :)
Fun cute puzzle game, impressive entry! I hade fun with it for quite a while, would love it on mobile.. Hope you had fun and see you on the next one!
Very impressed by how you managed this in a weekend. Really effective complete entry. Reminded me of Inscryption for multiple reasons (mood, theme, even graphics) which is a great thing. The different characters and how they acted brilliantly affected what you wanted to do with them.
The menus took a bit getting used to (having to exit the menus in order to change) but that is my only nitpick.
Well done, congrats!
Love the concept, solid all around. Cute art, nice effects, and fun variety of weapons. Quite challenging!
Would want it to be a bit faster movement-wise to really feel that high pace. Could use either more snappy movement or something like a dash in my opinion. Watching the enemy run towards your plant while you can't catch up feels rough. :)
Really fun entry though, great job!
When in doubt, jump it out! Love the animations and what a funny concept. The direction of the running is honestly great, made it more challening and also a creative way to make the animations play a bigger part. Which is something I'm looking to do in future jams, so thanks for the inspiration!
Then I got greedy and looked for if you made it change for the left/right obstacles but couldn't see it.. Would be pretty coool! ;)
Nitpick obviously, solid impressive entry
Got way more into this than I expected, nice blend of a simple clicker but having rogue-like upgrade vibes. Impressive effective entry, thanks
Fun idea, cute pumpkin and it got way more challenging than I expected in the six levels. Appreciated you guiding me along with each level(the level description).
Would love to try more and longer levels where the challenge is not in the first stacking-of-fruits part but actually on the track. You introduced this with the speedy and slow level, so levels expanding on that :)
Cool entry! Love the creative main mechanic, a bit difficult to control but still fun to zip around once you got the hang of it. And introducing objects to throw around with that same feature fits well and is very smart, props. Would try increasing the speed of your rotation acceleration and deceleration to make it feel a little more precise.
Great potential, nice prototype! :)
Didn't think I had a fear of rats, but you got me itching and feeling like they're on me for some reason, so thanks for that! Solid entry, I appreciate the balance, it felt challening but I managed to beat the levels. Funny but fitting audio so you def get points for that! And nice simplistic art that definitely did it's job.
Wished I could feel the dash a bit more, I like regular movement being slow but in turn the dash could be buffed a bit to have the contrast. And I'm imagining you acting out "woosh" on dash, and in the style of the "Shoo"-text, "Woosh" (or something similar) is left behind as a trail :)
I would also prefer shorter and faster levels! Can be a bit exhausting if it's too long between down-times.
Great job overall!
What a nice refreshing entry! Sweet art and a really entertaining, well-implemented, concept. Wished to see my inventory when deciding how many X/Y/Z to plant! Also I tried to give the dog snacks but it denied both the fertilizer and my wordfruits.. ;(
The amount of scenes you implemented, and dialogue guiding me along the way, is really impressive for a compo. Did you even sleep? I often scope too big and fall short, but you're like "nah I'll just do it all". Impressive!
Cool little adventure! I appreciate the procedural map, and simple yet effective graphics (especially liked how you did the tornado). A bit weak on the theme in my eyes, aside from that great work :)
Unique relaxing entry, very beautiful too. Adding a passing of time (sun, clouds etc) would be effective. I would also like seeing the apples grow before being ready to harvest. Them popping up suddenly is a contrast to the otherwise chill meditative experience.
I appreciate the idea and again, nice graphics. Thanks!
I won! :v: Solid entry, impressed by the effective and fun graphics! Loved the dance in the main menu. This definitely has potential, imagining it without the gun and more focus on the mechanic of having to run over crops. With upgrades affecting that part.
I also think either backing up the camera to see more of the map or having a minimap would increase the strategy and making it possible to plan your route. That together with improved turn rate would do a lot in my opinion.
Oh and fun engaging music! Well made compo entry, thanks!
Fun concept with day/night cycle with different missions, very ambitious which I always admire, great job getting this far and so many systems ready in time. A couple more days and this would be a lot of fun! Impressive :)
Impressive pixel art for a compo, with nice animations! Solid music. Also felt really balanced. It's a fun genre, this style of movement doesn't do much for it (in my opinion) but I appreciate your take! Would like the option to hold down mouse click for continuous rockthrowing. Great entry, thanks :)
What a nice complete entry, really impressed by the progression and amount of different features. Wasn't able to play with audio on unfortunately, but I know everything else is quality. The only thing I'd adjust is the turning. Either the controls (my first instinct was press left to go left), or simply making it full 360 rotation could make it feel even smoother.
But that's a small thing, great job overall, congrats!
Thanks for sharing with this submission! Unique entry and engaging storytelling. Love how we got to see both sides of the phonecalls and the feeling of getting older. Classic holding the phone way too close grandma! <3
I didn't feel like the monster gameplay was necessary though! I feel like I wanted more feedback from my fight choices. But more of a nitpick, not the focus of your game.
Thanks again, take care :)
Very interesting concept, I really like the kernels mechanic of having to stay near death for your abilities to work. The first thing I would look into is the snappiness of your movement, floaty jumps is a buzzkill for me. Simply increasing your gravity while increasing jump height would do wonders in my opinion. If that makes it feel too easy I'd balance the difficulty in other ways (ex deeper holes, faster harvester, etc)
With that said, great entry for a compo, thanks!
This is your first time? I'm impressed, and the art (even though might've taken long for you) was really good. Keep it going! I like the take, the speed actually felt great and fit once you got used to it imo.
Took me a while to understand the angles, first thing I did was swipe up when it said low angle. But finally I got the hang of it and delivered the package!
Fun entry, nice simple art and cool music. Definitely a great start for a mobile game.
The complete PACKAGE, love it! Lifting around objects feels great, and nice relaxing music
Understanding where my shape actually is when I try to place it is a little confusing
Could definitely see this be popular on mobile!(hint) Endless variation with types of packages and levels
Thanks for playing everyone!
@pdotjpg @nekowei Some might say I made the game without focusing on the theme, then forced it into my game on the last day with a random delivery man and a mailbox.. some might say that.
On a more serious note, actually not inspired by Go, but I see it and will happily take that comparison!
@douwe-ravers Cheers! Yes hah recently got a ukulele so I had to use it :)
@ollie-d Thanks a lot! Will definitely check out your hex game as soon as I find the time - we must unite
Great core mechanic, but then this fantastic presentation and narration brings it to a whole new level. Somewhat frustrating with the puzzles demanding you to be so precise, probably couldn't work in a full game but hey, as a gamejam it's up there. Impressive, and congrats :)
Relaxing entry, appreciate the look of the water. Pressing start made my PC sound like a motorboat and it took a while to load up the scene, might be because of the islands? They look heavy :) Fun take on the theme, felt nice. Fitting music as well, great job
Impressive on all fronts! Clean art, really fun and well implemented concept (of course fits the theme well). Papers Please kind of vibe. Some kinks to iron out is all I could find, mouse disappeared when I replayed and the customs didn't always work as I expected.
Really nice compo, congrats!
Awesome entry! It's addicting, love the star mechanic to destroy the clouds but then you get greedy, and ouch that's a building. Nice art as well, wish your web version had full screen so I could get even more into it.
Your game is wild! The camera is wild. The controls are wild. Even the women and children are wild. I enjoyed it! And nice music.
(I played the web version, maybe that made it a bit more chaotic..)
What a cute little entry! Simple yet effective art, cool idea and the music is a vibe.
Like some others have said, wish the truck moved a bit faster with more varied groceries instead. You were a bit too kind with us.. Could really keep me on my toes, but drove past a lot of houses with only one egg which makes things too easy :) Simply put, wish my memory got challenged a bit more, but I love the idea.
Got to 1300 points!
Great concept and nice execution! It's like the game where you shoot colored balls and try to match them, except a word game which makes it a lot harder for me..
But fun and great job on completing every aspect, from instructions to fitting sfx!
Looks great, fun concept. Quite ambitious for a compo too, I can see you wanted obstacles on certain roads? With defense and you actually choosing the path. Something like that would make it have more energy because as is there are no real obstacles. Great prototype though! :)
Fascinating hexagon puzzle you came up with. And I agree with others about the music, every part of the audio is really strong!
Also impressed that you went for an idea with AStar path finding, I didn't need to learn that part (although maybe I should have for the AI..) Cheers!
The acid looks great, and the shooting and recoil feels solid. Cool take on a rail shooter, and pretty great music and sfx as well :) Great job
Made the fans in my PC superblow! Haha fun game and idea, I love that you made a 2 player game. The music is a vibe, loved it!
It's solid as is, would be fun with a CPU and arcade mode but obviously, 48 hours. Also the graphics need to be less demanding, not necessary for this style of game.
Thanks for the fun jam!
Beautiful artstyle. Love that you thought to add snow! And impressive to get the controls and physics this polished in 48 hours! Definitely difficult and frustrating but that is hopefully the point..
At some point I lost it and left the warehouse.. Just me, sliding around in the snow, by myself. Much calmer
Love it, very nice combination of the theme and a rhythm/timing game. Thumper was mentioned and yes your visuals are not far from, impressive! I see this and directly wish you put even more focus on the music, and if you're interested maybe look into FMOD and making the obstacles show up to the beat.
Fun gameplay, you can really feel the skating vibe on longer levels. Greatly improved by a leaderboard, cool to see in a jam. Ice looked especially nice.
The Snake highscore is mine now, 19.516 B)
Thanks everyone for the kind words!
@milq @tschonni I uploaded a linux version now but I can't test it :) if you wanna try it out please let me know if there are any issues
Couldn't get a mac build to work using Godot yet, and web is unfortunately impossible with fmod
Fun concept with two types of bullets! Cool to see a story. Great execution especially for a first time in new engine. I also switched from Unity for the first time to Godot. How did you like Gamemaker? (I find Godot great if you're used to Unity)
It got hard pretty fast when there were reds and yellows together. I'd be interested to see what happens if you kill the enemies with 1 shot.. then increase the amount instead! Possibly give the player a couple of lives to play with.
One thing I find helps with audio, I don't know if it's easy in Gamemaker, but putting a small random change in pitch on repeating sounds like jump and shoot makes it feel different with little time spent.
Nice jam though, and good luck on your journey away from Unity!
Thanks for this, played for quite some time! Wanted to go for tier 7, but I'm happy with halfway in tier 6.. frustrating yet satisfying. Difficult but really fun once you get the hang of it. Props for nice visuals and great sound design, music and effects fit flawlessly.
I can easily see this expanded into a hit, lots of potential when the simplest version is this addictive.
Addictive, happy with my 456 highscore! (When in doubt, hold the pickaxe straight out)
Fun solid gameplay with nice fitting art and audio. I get the point of the lights rotating with your character, and decreasing vision when hiding, but the constant flickering kind of hurt my eyes a bit so I would look into a smoother way of handling that.
Really impressive for 48 hours, polished gameplay, nice implementation of the theme, systems work great and an shocking amount of variety. Every part was well executed, although the defeat sound almost killed me as well! I also think the "expansion of the kingdom"-upgrade could be a way bigger area, but that's just balance.
Great job!
Nice gravity implementation and dialogue system! Clean artstyle. The story and dialogue started out interesting (cool font) but as others have already mentioned it gets a bit disruptive.
While I did like the progress and that you revealed things with time (especially UI, smart choice), I'd prefer the fitting menu music to continue. Took a bit too long for the gameplay music to start in my opinion.
Can see the potential, the projectiles bending with gravity looks and feels great!
Very polished and clever. Cute pixelart, nice sound design and a fun interesting puzzle game. I like the fact you didn't hold my hand with every new mechanic, let the players explore and figure it out.
The only little nit I have is the main menu, took a while for me to figure out I had to press C, damn font..
Grats on a nice jam!
Nicely executed jam! Every part of it is effective, from the "camera shake" when laying pipes, to the tutorial implemented into gameplay, to the audio feedback.
I have definitely seen the concept and gameplay in a mobile game once or twice before, wish you had the time to add something new to it. But hey, it's a clean version and it fits with the theme!
Sweet game, love jams that are rhythm games! Got a good night sleep on my first try, I've played guitar hero before :sunglasses: Cute characters and visuals, nice music.
The big thing for me though is that I REALLY wish the clouds/notes would line up to the beat of the song! Would improve the feel of the gameplay by miles, I'm sure you would agree.
Sounds like you've made a ton of improvements after the jam which is awesome! Good luck on your continued dev, would want to try it again if you ever release it on mobile.
Games like these kind of blow my mind. Extremely creative idea. I'm not the biggest fan of pixel art (blasphemy I know), but I love your visuals here, has a Dead Cells feel to it.
Missed some atmospheric music. Grats and good luck!
Sweet game! Fun and intense gameplay magnified by the scanner and field of view circle. I definitely feel the stealth spy vibe, nice sound design. The increased speed when running into walls felt highly random, but fit way better with the gameplay than I though! Especially when I saw the timer..
I see now that it was a bug turned feature, love it
Bullets bouncing was also an inspiring mechanic, would've liked to see a version where it got more focus! Could be with enemy design or level design (ex puzzles to get to keys). Speaking of bullets I did find it difficult to see the enemy bullets, which made it hard to react and dodge. Making them clearly another color from the player would help.
That's my two cents, thanks for the game!
Nice little game! I like the idea of changing modes to do different things while on a timer, could be stressful in a satisfying way. But as others have already said the mode-switching can be improved! Visualising your current mode. And maybe showing the input to press on the mode wheel, because 1-5 is not that clear..
With that in mind, and I get that we only had 48 hours, but working the tutorial into your gameplay as much as possible helps a lot. I'm in no way perfect at this but just a tip :)
Great job!
Nice experience! Fitting idea, well implemented. Love the water effects you did, clever! Got all the way through.
I like to give this tip a lot as I use it all the time. For sound effects (pick up and put down box in this case), adding a tiny random change in pitch (for example, can also be volume or other paramters) each time can add a nice sense of variety with very little work. Not the biggest thing but hey thought I'd mention it.
Something I noticed was that I wanted the items to fit perfectly but most of the time that was not the case. There's a certain kind of feeling when stuff "JUST fits", also adds to the strategy. In case you wanna continue, maybe think about that.
Anyway great all around jam! Thanks
Unique idea, really clever implementation of the theme, a simple platformer that heavily improved by the loops and that you have to remember the correct path. Creepy mood, both cute and disturbing character. Solid music and thanks for the happy ending.
Nice jam!
Really impressive art if you made that in your 4 hours! The game is flappy bird, nothing new but hey it works! Hopefully you learned something.
As for a flappy bird clone, it's tough when I'm not sure how precise I can be or how close I can go. The bat collider is a question mark, honestly the pillars as well. Which is important for that gameplay :)
Also I can't find your source code on your itch FYI!
Simple and sweet visuals together with unique imaginative gameplay and an impressive amount of content! It started out slow, especially waiting for sheep to eat and respawning your birds, but it picked up! I think having the music loop not feel as repetitive would help with that (by making it a few bars longer with variety before looping). Thanks for a creative entry!
I love that you went for a rhythm game, nice charming vibe! Almost did that myself. Although you didn't sync up the game to the beat of the music? Would make it feel a lot better. I would use FMOD for that which I recommend, and as it's a web build from Godot I know you didn't 'cause it doesn't work yet.
I just managed to get lucky before the hard part was about to kick in (eye-contact + hit the notes)
Sadly it crashes before I can see anything, the windows opens and closes right away. (on windows pc)
Charming vibe with the music and art, the font and color choices were especially pleasing. Nice touch to have color variation in the flowers :)
Simple yet effective, as it gets quite frustrating at times! Fun interpretation of having to time jumps in an endless runner. As mentioned already, more replayability would come from further use of the mechanic or visual progress in the environment of some kind.
I also managed to continuously create flowers by spamming Space but I received no points sadly as I missed the triggers, that's what I get for cheating I guess!
Great implementation of an auto-battler which is obviously a great use of the theme! Impressive amount of systems and tribes/units you got done in a weekend. ABSOLUTELY LOVE the rune mechanic to face other summoners, really inspired. Although I have no army for you as I picked the least optimized build..
Love the mood and your sound design is great! Polished level progression and tutorial, in a weekend, screams professional and is inspiring me to change how I prioritize. The UI felt a bit clunky and was blocking the view, although I get that it's because of the demon eye cameras.. Could work better if they were more dynamic (time issue I know).
The demon eyes are a really cool mechanic idea though, I'd love for it to be focused on even more. As is, I didn't really find the need to look in their views.
The fact that you change spells with mouse wheel is difficult to keep track of and feel effective with, fascinating idea to try out but not sure how well it works in reality.
Thanks for an awesome, innovative jam!
Sick vibe and an intriguing point and click "adventure". Reminds me of Inscryption with the music and tone of the whole thing. Love it, great stuff.
Awesome use of the concept, love the squishing your enemies wizard. It's how I play Trine! Wish you had time to add more juice to squishing those damn spheres! Sound effects and particles would improve the game feel by miles. A decal still on the ground after a popped enemy maybe.
Solid balance of the upgrades, felt like I wanted to pick different ones a lot. Although the upgrades made me lose input for movement, which got me hurt a few times.
Fun jam! Aside from that the size of the game is absurd, I'm guessing textures? Should look into optimizing that the next time, huge environment textures is not worth it. Cheers!
@themaskedman haha well thanks for playing! It’s obvious making a game, especially in this genre, that playtesting is a good thing.. And I agree, wish I put more thought into secondary mechanics/ui, the arbitrary score and progress was very last minute. Thanks for your input! <3
@heretic Cheers! Yeah.. I should’ve trusted their testing that it helps with distinguishing the fast notes. Thanks for playing :)
@lisek-gagatek Thanks! I can see that, and I realized too late that I put notes in the music that my game couldn’t handle without huge changes.. I underestimated the time some parts take of making a game like this.
Awesome jam! As mentioned it was difficult for the old brain with the different camera scenes and managing your space. Love the VFX and cute 2d character, the font and text usage is way too clean. Funny idea to amp the music when using magic!
At first I just typed ARISE over and over again without understanding :D But I got the hang of it, ASDFA worked out great for me :) Repeat it a few times hehe. Maybe a limitation would be useful
I also like the idea of making the summons have additive combination effects instead of replacing. Say if one summon gives you fire projectiles and another makes them spread, and you build onto that.
Anyway great job, nice survivor take on a weekend! Cute art, love the demon summons.
What an awesome jam!! Impressive amount of progress, mechanics and polish for a weekend. From clean character animations to vfx to sweet level design. The art was all around crisp. Fun use of the concept, although I wish the summoning was a bit faster, funny enough the summoning was the only part that didn't FEEL fantastic. Still an awesome concept. The shots were somewhat hard to understand their 3d location, or their rules. Still felt juicy making a bullet hell of homing projectiles.
Love this entry! <3
This was way more fun than it has any right to be! :D Nice castle defense combined with element vs element! Was fun to build the golems. Well balanced, an intuitive, didn't take long to figure it out. Solid sound effects, wish there was more and a music track. Would also like to see an indication of the health of characters!
Fun sweet entry! <3
Really well made survivor game!! Inspired mechanic to build your army in the survivor genre, impressive pixel art and just a fun loop with nice progression. A bit more feedback to when I got hit by a bullet would be useful. Most fun survivor jam I've played, well done!
Absolutely love the artstyle, from the UI elements to the shaders and your vfx work. Fun 2d narrative, graphics gets a 5/5 for me!
Kept spamming space to dash away from the projectiles, until I figured out the deflect. Fun concept as well, being a bounty hunter. The bounty description took a while for me to understand though, and was a bit confused by the progress of the demons spawning.
But hey, those are nitpicks, great jam. You got impressively far for a weekend.
Love what you did with the sound haha! Hummmmm. Fun variety in the different songs/mechanics and what they did. Difficult and kind of unclear what damages the player in my opinion, felt quite easy if not for that :) Nice jam
Fun jam, cute characters and very interesting reload mechanic! Also love that you can charge your shot. The game starts at 100 with the screen kinda filled with enemies and continues like that without pause. Would be nice to see more of a progression to it with contrast in how intense it is.
Nice game, thanks!
Another rhythm game! :) But what you got here is way more innovative, and fleshed out. Very cool unique take on it. To me the notes were definitely off beat a lot of the time though which would improve the game feel miles, or did you make a system for it and I'm mistaken? For me that took quite the effort.
Love the 2d art also, very effective to set a mood. Great jam
Excellent idea for a game and nice take on the theme. Obviously more cards, effects or enemies would make this a lot more fun as you mentioned yourself! Maybe adding some rock paper scissors to it, enemies good against boars but bad against imps, and so on. That would make saving the cards in your hand more of a strategy.
Or by making the cards have a summon effect feels very fitting and makes positioning more important! Like the imps have a small explosion when summoned, or the boar comes charging in.
As it stands the latest version on itch is very easy, I just summoned whenever I could and never got hurt. The difficulty curve needs to be faster, but balance you could probably sense yourself. The concept is strong, I hope you continue! Great first LD!
Nice game! I got the combos down quite well. Sweet juicy animations of the arrows. Fun with the multitasking, quite difficult to keep the pace up as you look at the heaven diver. In my opinion it kind of has the same issue as my game in that you want to focus on clicking the buttons in the correct order that you miss what is happening in the background most of the time :)
There is no audio right? I didn't hear any unfortunately.
Lovely jam with a charming artstyle! Got a bit too immersed playing the first part, fake typing. Fun twist! Couldn't go back through the portal, I guess you didn't get to that as these weekends go, or maybe I am missing something.
Had a fun time, thanks
I'm handsome too, 100%! You made all the elements fit together, funny creepy, atmospheric artstyle. Was also interesting to learn what things you weigh as more normal than others! ;)
