Pretty cool! Holding objects is annoying though. It took me 10 minutes to get the keycard to the door on the first level.

Pretty cool! Holding objects is annoying though. It took me 10 minutes to get the keycard to the door on the first level.
Is there a time limit on the doors? I opened the second door but by the time I got there it was closed again. The idea is cool but the movement is a bit clunky and slow to pick up speed so it doesn't really incentivize replaying for me. Graphically however it looks good, the character sitting on an office chair is a fun and cute way to explain the movement.
I find the reaper's unwillingness to get out of his office chair, or use his hands in order to do his job highly relatable.
Very appealing game.
I do agree with previous comments that the movement feels a bit to difficult to be satisfying. Since we already have the complication of needing to blow from place to place I think you could make the controls snappier and still maintain a good level of challenge. Given a little longer to dial it in, I think the core mechanic has a lot of potential.
I really like the whole office chair movement and the sucking/blowing thing. Unfortunately the WASD controls are WAY too clunky for this style of control and honestly even if you were to tweak it to make it snappier im not certain it would solve the problem. Did you try using mouse controls instead? Unless you intend for the player to have to spin then the ability to snap directions using the mouse would allow people to increase speed massively. Regardless really cool idea, I enjoyed the game until door closed on me xD. Good game!
@mcnuttys Mouse aim was what I wanted originally, yeah. The catch is that the top half of the chair is attached via a joint to the bottom half, with both as rigidbodies. So I had to steer it using only physics, meaning I couldn't simply turn the top part of the chair to look at the cursor unfortunately. Getting it to look at the mouse cursor by applying forces meant I would've had to make a whole custom PID controller to manage the amount of forces needed to apply to make it face the target. So it was possible to do, but it was taking me too long so I scrapped it after spending an all-nighter and went back to the simple math of steering with arrow keys. I guess took the game in a somewhat "Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy" direction because of that, where the challenge is just to move around.
great game with a unique concept! but the turning just seems a little too slippery. still, really fun game!
The idea is super fun, and I love the game idea. Okay it could been more polished, but it was still fun to play. Overall a interesting and fun jam game. So well done.
Oh my god I love that they're on a lil swivel chair, that's super fun. Turning felt kinda slippery, as others have said, i feel like with what are basically tank controls, having more control over the turning would have helped a ton, but that much has been said already. Also, having some kind of visual indicator on the suck/blow switch would be nice since right now, there's no way to tell which side means what without just memorizing it. Those are more nitpicks though, really funny game, good work!
Fun little game. I think it would be nice to see more obstacle types but I get that it's a jam!
Graphically great and I like the controls and movement. After the first door it's quitei alot of fun trying to get round as fast as you can although I found that after using the keycard if I didn't get there in time then the door shut and keycard didn't respawn so I couldn't progress any further.
Yeay i get all the souls, This game is funny! ! The controls are hard but learned with patience. I liked the "final boss" level at the end. The gameplay is original. With sounds, better graphics and more work on level design this game could be on another level.
Concept is pretty cool, but it a bit hard to move. That's a bit expect from Compo tho haha. Good job
Awesome game idea - I'm trying this next time I'm in the office! As others have mentioned, the keyboard controls are a little bit difficult. Nice work getting this together in the short time.
Man I loved drifting around on the little chair, was a little tedious picking up and dropping off the key cards, but overall I'm impressed with the 3D graphics. Did you make all the models yourself?

I can't rate your game for some reason... :(
Funny gameplay, very coherent music ! Nice entry my friend !
Really cool game, i love the idea, i think the movement would be better if rotation was faster and more snappy, because it feels a bit tidious right now
@achilnos The keycard should respawn next to the scanner after the door shuts, but I didn't have time to have it to let the player know about it the system unfortunately. Sorry if it was a bug though, I'll fix it if I can reproduce that happening.
@tanguylcr Thank you for playing to the end! I'm glad you liked the concept, I MIGHT see about polishing this into more of an arcade fighter if I can find time.
@osh-studio Yup! Making 3D models is my main hobby, so I'm glad you like the art despite how rushed it all was lol
@bobbo Don't worry about it, thank you for playing!
@noeloskar Thank you! I might mess around with this concept more in the future, so I'll definitely be sure to make the turning more responsive if I stick with keyboard movement
@polynoggin great, but yeah thinking about it, mouse movement might work way better
I like this idea, the controls were difficult but unique and fun :)
Some music and SFX would have helped, maybe could have made the game a little longer too but of course i understand thats not always possible within the time limit.
Great entry <3
Made me laugh when I realised I couldn't move while holding the key card. Overall very fun game.
really great movement mechanics, I wish it had a little less drag though.
Fun game, good job!
Really cool idea. The suck/blow felt satisfying :D. The modelling on everything looks really good too. well done!
Really neat idea, but feels really unresponsive. I think it could be more fun to have more physics interactions with the furniture, although I can see how that might mess up your level design if the tables could be knocked around. There's also some points where the walls obscure the entire view of the camera, like the checkered floor area of room 2, which makes the movement even more difficult.
Good idea - clever that the forces shut off when the card is covering the nozzle. A couple of glitches though - the walls get in the way (esp past the first keycard door) forcing me to find a way between a table and a pillar (which worked) and it's entirely possible to blow the card through the walls accidentally and lose it completely. But it's good fun, and pretty funny! :)
What a great entry! You could totally carry this forward just focusing on the mechanic of leafblower/chair, it was a lot of fun! I'm not sure if it was bugged but I didn't hear any audio so I skipped voting there. Keep on making games
Cool entry! Love the creative main mechanic, a bit difficult to control but still fun to zip around once you got the hang of it. And introducing objects to throw around with that same feature fits well and is very smart, props. Would try increasing the speed of your rotation acceleration and deceleration to make it feel a little more precise.
Great potential, nice prototype! :)
Cool concept and design, but I had a bit of trouble with controls. I think I also dropped the keycard behind the wall on the first playthrough. Like others said, making the controls a little bit more precise would be awesome!
Haha. In my sucking game, I had totally envisioned a similar particle effect as you have... before I ran out of time, good job making it :D The controls are a tad clumsy, also similar but better than in my game. Maybe next time make it less physical and more arcade-ish? Dunno. I loved when I sucked the card the first time, and the mechanic of shooting it. I got past the door in a few minutes, so good. Then, it was harder and maybe a bit less populated. Still a very nice take on the theme, congratz! :)
