LD52 — Harvest

Solvate Rush by LoHii 2023-01-15T04:20:43Z

Why is "EAT" so hard? I couldn't even eat one apple, so when I finally got it I was surprised to see 4+ more. :joy:

A fun simple little game. I enjoyed the voice acting and humor!

#NoOneDeservesToBeAnEggHoover by bellatrion 2023-01-15T04:09:12Z

Very interesting concept. I thought the story was interesting and the questions and answers felt well thought out and moved the story along.

I echo the others about the egg gameplay -- I realize part of the theme was for it to me monotonous, but I also felt like I was completing it so I could get back to the story. It would be fun if the egg section was as engrossing as the story.

I was also a little confused by the end. I thought I did the right thing, but while the art was very cool, I'm not sure if I understood exactly what happened. Regardless, I'm glad I played and got to experience.

Acornville Escape Room by candlesan 2023-01-14T17:33:31Z

I'm glad that even though there weren't a lot of sounds, there was a little jingle when the puzzle was completed. A great cue to know the door opened (sometimes behind me) and I found myself really getting excited when I heard it. A very fun little game to work through.

Reap What You Blow by polynoggin 2023-01-15T03:41:33Z

Cool concept and design, but I had a bit of trouble with controls. I think I also dropped the keycard behind the wall on the first playthrough. Like others said, making the controls a little bit more precise would be awesome!

A Harvest Story by gord10ahmet 2023-01-10T02:07:47Z

The visuals were cool. It would have been nice to have a few more branching paths, but understandable given this is a solo game jam.

Soul Harvest Inc. by Ian McD 2023-01-10T17:41:51Z

@trsthstrs some requests may have come at night which means the picture might have been a bit darker.

Rapid Produce Dating Simulator by Shredmer 2023-01-10T01:40:18Z

I really love the text on the cards. Made me laugh. :)

Harvest Festival 64 by Warrrkus 2023-01-15T03:27:18Z

This was perfectly paced for a game jam like this imo. Really well done and a memorable experience.

Fleshy Friend by Fluri 2023-01-15T03:12:37Z

I really liked the vibe here. It's cool to see everyone else's friends. (Many of which are much more creative than mine. )

Life is Fleeting: New Harvest by Sarah Alexa 2023-01-14T17:56:10Z

This was a fun little game! A lot to do by one person in a few days!

There were some minor issues like the popups to tell me how to interact seemed misplaced at times (telling me to water my plant after I harvested it).

I could only hold one present in inventory at a time, and after I gave the present to someone the next day the visual reset to 0, but the next present would bump the counter correctly -- so just a visual error. I think it would also help to include a direction about how to switch your items.

Those were all pretty minor though, I enjoyed the game and was engaged to play til the end. :)

Hamburger Harvest by Tuomas 2023-01-15T03:34:29Z

Simple but fun. I felt so proud when i finally got a perfect burger.

Adorable Armageddon by deppong 2023-01-14T18:18:16Z

Fun and cute game! I really enjoyed the visuals and music and thought it was an interesting and unexpected spin on tower defense.

I think it would be cool if you could sell some of the organs you get to maybe buy different powerups. I wasn't sure if the different animals had different weaknesses/strengths, but that could be another way to add difficulty and strategy to the game.

LD55 — Summoning

Franz Bardon's Practice of Magical Evocation by kr4ft3r 2024-04-17T05:04:07Z

I enjoyed the sounds of the blocks falling, and it was interesting to read. I too wish that we could see vertical lines clear too.

CANDYMAN VS MEGACOPS by ValentinWB 2024-04-17T00:56:16Z

I enjoyed the graphics and sounds! It was fun to play local 2 player mode as well. I think the game could benefit from a slightly larger area to move around and maybe more candies to interact with :)

WIP (actual game name) by ThomasVenner 2024-04-17T05:17:56Z

Cool concept! I struggled a little bit with the "too far" (I think sometimes it popped up when the block was colliding with the wall)

Impressive work for the short amount of time.

A Hell Of A Hole Garden by MarinePLB 2024-04-17T01:30:34Z

I have to admit I was sucked into the game trying to get all the flowers. Very addictive :) I had to play until the end.

One small thing that I think could make the gameplay better is making the symbols on the cards a little larger. Sometimes it was hard to see what things I needed to combine.

It could be cool to have a mechanic to request certain types of cards. Maybe it is in the game but I couldn't figure it out.

LD57 — Depths

Snow Ordinary Cave by binroot 2025-04-08T02:54:28Z

Simple but fun game. One of the enemies killed me after I won though

What Lurks Below by dxk2294 2025-04-08T04:54:40Z

Wait what happened at the end?! I was about to buy an upgrade and then...!

That was fun especially when it really started going!

Depths of the Heart by chelC 2025-04-08T03:33:52Z

It's always cool to see games with voice acting! This was pretty funny!

Granny's Gotcha by Joscco 2025-04-08T01:21:29Z

Yay! I had a lot of fun with this one. The graphics were so cute and I enjoyed the vibe. I couldn't help but play to the end to complete all the levels.

A few small things: * I noticed I was able to pull some of the items out of the bag partially which seemed not intended by the puzzles * Some of the larger objects could only be pulled from the top which was not always intuitive.

Very minor things -- I really enjoyed this game!

Onerous Orbits by Ian McD 2025-04-08T20:12:01Z

@brian-russell The speed up option would be cool! Thanks for playing!

Folder Depth by Zigtalk 2025-04-08T04:14:48Z

The mechanics were hard for me to understand, and I don't think I figured out how to play. Interesting concept though.

Super Mecha Diggin Dodge Idle by wheelsx 2025-04-08T04:03:00Z

It was cool to read your story about creating a similar game 11 years ago and still doing game jams today. This was fun!

Morally GrayStone Corp by T90. 2025-04-08T03:54:02Z

This game felt too real! The writing was witty and the art was also quite nice. Overall I enjoyed playing!

Dumb Ways to Dive by EiZi 2025-04-08T04:21:32Z

Interesting concept! Not sure if I missed something but I wasn't able to progress too far.

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-08T20:10:34Z

Cool concept! I really liked the keyboard to input movement. It was pretty intuitive and worked well! We had a similar concept in our game for limiting movement to a few key actions, so it was cool to see it implemented in a different way.

One thing that would have been neat is seeing the instructions for bots lost to the dungeon. Sometimes I would get so far, but then lose the robot so it would be nice to mostly replicate the path.

DEPTHS OF HELL by Danny Hayes 2025-04-08T20:00:07Z

Interesting concept. So many of my souls had lizards for some reason. :joy:
