Would be better to use WASD instead of a point and click navmesh
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → Freedom For Ball

Nice to see a stealth game! The theme is tied into the game well via the prisoners increasing your chances of getting caught. I would have liked some sound effects and a bit of background music and maybe some red sirens to go off when you're caught.
RIght clicking to move is super uncomfortable on a trackpad. It was also hard to distinguish between the walls and floor at certain angles.
This game taught me that even balls deserve freedom #freedomforball. 5 stars.
The control is not very good. But it's interesting!
Yeah, nice concept, I bit of music and sounds would be nice but I know that no everyone can make great music I know I can't:smile:
Very good implementation of the theme, a nice challenge, graphics were passable for a prototype and it was a nice take on crowd control.
Overall this was a pretty good game. It could have been better if there was music or sound effects. definitely a fun game and concept
This could be very fun with some adjustments. A couple of critiques. Movement is slow and it's frustrating to be sent to the beginning of the level since they move so slowly. Checkpoints would be a nice feature. And why not left click instead of right, or wasd/arrows? I'm not sure how the judges will rule, but the enemy character models are derivative of a unity tutorial. I wish you luck!
Nice game you have here. SUPER WELL DONE!
Come check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
This is a cute game with a funny description. Like others, I'd prefer WASD, and it was sometimes hard to tell where walls were. The description picture is misleading, promising an immersive 1st person view, but delivering a top-down view. It was funny when I sometimes backtracked to avoid detection, and my friends all huddled together, facing in, as if discussing a plan.
I like the simple take on the theme and the idea of finding your friends while avoiding the enemy's sight is an easy to understand yet enjoyable concept. Like others have mentioned, having more controls over the player's movements such as allowing me to use WASD/Arrow Keys to move would make the game more enjoyable. I also had trouble distinguishing the floor from the walls as everything is very gray and the angle of the camera makes it hard to see depth.
Hope you plan to keep working on this idea because I think this can be a fun game to play. If you rather keep the mouse control option then may I suggest adding like a "wave point" system to let me see where my character is moving towards :D
Whoops. Placed this comment in the wrong place. Proper feedback to come.
Man, that was.... difficult. Not a bad game, and hits the theme on the head, but man is it punishing. There's no real way to control your balls, and it's quite difficult to study the enemies' paths with the risk of them turning back around and spotting you. Almost made it to the end, I think, but I wasn't quite sure where to go... Still, this game has promise.
