You score on humor!
The bad-screen takes WAY too long.
Great and inspirational.
Very Nice! I will enjoy the Android version. It has a nice swipe-to-move-action. Solid entry. Good Job.
Bow mechanic is nice
Nice!
Needed to adjust to the control-transfer. But nice atmoshpere!
Nice graphics. If it is random that your shape is not on the board then it is irritating that repeated fire (>20) doesn't change shape.
Great Entry!
Long time ago I had this idea but your execution is spot on!
would like to have a mobile game like this!
Nice Graphics
Nice Effects
M.E. Sticks too and first level is a bit too hard for my taste. Character design is good.
Very nice. I got some clues. Could use a bit faster on the reading/response. Well done.
Nice perspective. That would allow for good direction. I like the handdrawn look. Good graphics. There were some debug-coordinates showing. nice work.
That is refreshing : a card game with paper instructions. It could maybe help if you got a youtube displaying the rule while playing. Maybe I get back to this when I'm a bit more rested.
When clicking on Start nothing happens.
I have thought about this feedback. I don't want to be too harsh but still I feel you might want to think about having a gradual increase of difficulty. I am not bothered by the graphics allthough they could have some love, but the difficulty is way too hard the first thing around. I would have prefered a gradual difficulty. Some people seem to enjoy this but I do not. sorry.
Great job! I loved the unlimited undo even across levels. Really challenging and again another good puzzler from you.
Good puzzle concept. I love puzzlers. Something to keep working on after the jam to make it into a mobile thing or so.
Deep space warp effect was cool.
Deep thoughts! Nice graphics and concept. Good for learning to type
Ah how unfortunate that I can't launch session from my house. I tried two computers but you propably use the global IP. That was a shame because I really want to see the game play. Good Job.
This is sooooo good. I really need some friends. Great graphics, mood and fun.
Unfortunately the 'click under the head' on the tubes didn't work for me on Chrome. I like the switching on the anatomy
Interesting mix on 'regular' personal interface and response. sometimes I think that some people need this kind of challenge on their responses before they sent their things. So this is a good thing to think about. That you make me think this way makes it a DEEP game  good job
Love the visuals. Except for the 'rocks' they are way too similar so it took me a while to spot it. Well done.
@ubershmekel : Yeah the hitbox could be adjusted. I think I've changed that on the Tucan but forgot about the others.
@ian-kettlewell : I am going to try to make it multiplayer so you and your girlfriend can 'fight' eachother :) Thanks for playing.
@para-no : Ha ha .. can you imagine what it was like in my apartment building at 03 am
@tinyhatgames : Yes my Ooooohs seem to work best. But BRRRRRR like a cat works as well. Unfortunately I couldn't get the audio playback and record working at the same time. I literally just figured pitching out on Saterday morning. But I would love to record and playback all those player actions
@doc-kaos : Yeah unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to play and record at the same time. But the player generates the sound and audio. So it should have be really cool and beautiful audiowork
@brielley Thanks! I guess you mean the :pig2: ??
@andrewkennedy : If you are not on Google Chrome you could be into some problems. If you are able to check your browser console for messages it could help me understand the problem.
@andrewkennedy : excellent. Thanks for playing!
@torcado : yeah someone mentioned the hitboxes. I did make it on the smallest character but forgot the others  Thanks for playing.
@xariusexcl : that was on my todo list. as wel as crashing and victory animations. But someTIMEs things get prioritized. In hinesight I could have done with one bird making those animations. But I wanted to make it multiplayer. That got scratched as well. Thanks for the feedback.
@rhoff95 : I have thought about it but decided against it. It was the theme-idea that I wanted to uphold. I had thought of replacing that low-pitch input that I was looking for with some sound-effect but I couldn't manage to get both input and output. The code was too new for me to understand how to mix it. Maybe in a future release .. thanks for the feedback!!!!
@samguy : I have a gradual degration of movement. When I don't allow for that to happen than the bird would crash into the ground immediately when the same frequency is used or nothing is said. Thanks for playing and commenting.
@britt-henderson : yeah someone reported that earlier. Use Chrome instead. Thanks for playing and reporting.
@Gastoon : Ha Ha Ha .. I wish I had a way to record all those webcam actions    Maybe neat idea for a future version  thanks for playing and commenting
@quetzakol : Hope you saw beautiful things during your meditation  Thanks for the suggestion. I might do something like that for a future version. Thanks for commenting.
@Wouter52 : I draw and paint a lot and like the 'handdrawn' style. Color aninmation is a bit too much work for LD so I decided on the bw palette. Thanks for playing and commenting.
@nyxkn : Yeah, some people have had problems with browsers other than Chrome. Please try it with Chrome. Thanks for commenting. Edit: I made a note of this on my start-page.
@aeveis : thank you for playing and commenting. Yeah I made a comment on the start-page on Firefox. Thanks for reporting!
@carolinewang : thanks for playing and commenting. Ha Ha blowing is a good idea. I go for BRRRRRRR like a cat
@Xpycm : Ha ha I had thought about that. I don't have a musical instrument but investigated note-recognition. That should be possible as well. The lowest note is from a pipe-organ. But I don't know many people with somehting like that in their houses  Thanks for commenting.
@pvg : Thanks. Whistle-input Wow. Do you have a link that I can play?
@Hestratjea : Yeah Taller playfield (need to move up and down) was mentioned before. Maybe for the multiplayer version
@Scrawach : thanks for playing and commenting.
@Nounka : Ha ha .. make my excuses to the cat. Thanks for playing and commenting.
@valeth2124 : Disclaimer = this game is not to eligible for medical costs on your vocal chords .
@pvg : awesome mate. Bit difficult to control. I must not been a clear whistler  But very exciting stuff. Well Done!!!! :hearts: :hearts: wistlegame.gif
@Esosek : Unfortunately the code was too new to me to understand to add sounds. I tried but it didn't work as long as the recording was running. Thanks for playing and commenting!
@pvg : ah .. that repeat did work better but I couldn't keep it for too long. And then it said I need to breath .. Taking a breath it said now you must repeat again .. I turned blue ... ha ha ha ha .. Way cool mate!
@hiddentavern : Thank you for the pictures you drew with your words. Birds die laughing.
@Solah : Yeah that was requested earlier as well. Maybe for the multiplayer version ...
@vphyre : Thank you for the long review. @Marshal : Thanks for playing and commenting. @pedrohph : Yeah it is not a good thing to MAKE and play the games after 'usual' hours
@youhou : Yeah I didn't know how to open another channel for audio playback. It could well be done but I didn't want to investigate it too further during the jam. YOU are the audio  It sure had to be beautifull to hear
@ardorugus : Thanks for this in-depth feedback.
@etrealjunior : thank you for your kind words.
Way too hard for my skills. And that is a shame because I would really want to enjoy it some more. But got frustrated after 2 minutes passing the first obstacle. But I'm propably way too old for these kind of required reflexes. I now have to enjoy your speedrun GIF without enjoying it myself.
The first person view was very satisfying. Only to see most of the time that I was mining with my hands instead of a tool. To be able to upgrade I need to find stuff and that is good. But I mined for some time and it took me way too long to gather enough to at least get one upgrade from the shop. The music was ok, a bit too sleepy. Could have been juiced up with some sound effects on the mining stuff. Overall good job.
I like the eerie sounds. And the 'oh my good look on the face of the character when you die. I'm too bad at playing to get anywhere :)
Nice mix of 3d and 2d. Simple but effective gameplay. Well done.
I thought that I would get bigger when eating but kept small and after two minutes of catching small stuff since the larger ones killed me I got bored. Nice character design. Well done.
Very nice. I love puzzlers. Good execution. I got all the needed action right away. I needed more time to inspect the right path before actual digging so I started over a few time. Too bad that the new levels where different I would like to have played the same level again. Well done. Good game for a full (mobile) follow up. Keep up the good work.
I need to go to the optician : I couldn't see a damn thing behind those pixels. But I'm old and I could ask my grandson to have a look. Neat idea.
Good idea. The dices should have been more contrast. Took me a while to find them. Liked the gameplay. Good job. Nice sound effects
Excellent graphics style. Could be from my nightmares!
Nice. sound was a bit loud but I got the right feeling with the controls. It starts nice but a little more indication that you need to go to the ground would be nice. Ow .. that was mentioned before. But overall : nicely done
Nice ring effect for your lives. I'm too bad a shooters so I didn't get far. Good entry!
Sorry a bit confusing how to play. Pixelstyle is great. Font could be in the same style.
Couldn't get far. The random initialisation of levels game up too hard most of the time for starters.
Thought that my setup was to blame  but it is a SIM. Nice respawn. There were times that I didn't understand why they didn't spawn. Nice graphics.
Smooth sound. good mechanic. throwing fellt good. Job well done.
What a true polished piece of artwork. Very, very well done. cudo's. Fight mechanic took a bit too long for my taste. But it was a treat to be playing it!
Indeed nice atmosphere. Falling felt great. Well done! I got a bad path and it wend black before my eyes
Very nice. Too bad that it didn't work full time (at least half of my screen was filled) Would have been awesome to have a full screen going on. Nicely done.
Too bad that I don't have an oculus. Looks amazing
Ha ha .. when the space launched I thought I had to move it .. I wend left and the ship went right. Ha ha ha .. Very nice graphics and control. I wanted more things but alas it is a compo game. Well done.
Nice visual. I love the incredible jump over the trees :) Well done.
Feels really good when you find the spot. Animation feels great.
Difficult to control. But I don't want to kill david anyway. Seems to be a nice guy
A tad too dificult for my taste. But looks very nice. Cool animation  Good Job.
I have now a head ache. Timing the dive is a bit tough. And sometimes the spots weren't spawning on the same place.
Ha Ha that death animations wants me to die over and over again. Great job.
Too hard to control and that is a shame because I really like the atmosphere. Good graphics!
Running away worked fine so I didn't bother killing them. Nice job.
Nice graphics and good control. But I figure the rope should have been severed multiple times
Did not figure out what the best combo was. I didn't get deep :) enough.
Great entry! I LOLed because I thought I need to race to the bottom avoiding the enemies to find out that you should collect things on the way ... Nice graphics. Cool implementation of going deeper in to someones sleep.
visual scrollback and movement is ok. The digging is nicely made.
After I got the TRAIN thing and noticed that it was multiplayer and opened second window : WOW !!! That was cool. Without the multiplayer it was kind of okish, but with multiplayer brings it to a whole new level. I wanted to create mine with multiplayer but got strapped from my TODO. KUDO's !!
Sorry too hard for me. Even when slowing down it sometimes speeds up to fast to get anywere. Reverse controls didn't help as wel. But I dig the art.
Nice 3d ships and water effect. music is a bit out of place. a bit too slow to progress to the cards. but it is a working game.
interesting idea. Some (little) animations go a long way.Nice feeling. Good character design. I like.
Really nicely made. Enjoyed it. Once I figured out down arrow I got some traction. Good job!
Well done (goed gedaan!) I liked how the formations group. Line of sight was forgiving. Nice. Didn't got the theme-idea though.
What a nice bird sounds you made. Like the double function of the color switches. Nice atmosphere. Job well done.
Nice graphics. Didn't get the confession on multiple accounts.
Took a while before the controls did something. A 'you have reached ..' would be nice to have. Nice graphics and I love the animation of the dancing dude.
Hit the floor frequently. Didn't get it. Sorry. Graphics are on par.
Too bullet hellish for me. Sorry got frustrated. Love the graphics!
Cool a dig-match-3 game. I like that you can make a move without having to make a combo. Good job.
What a shame that you didn't get it working. The character is very cute!
Nice graphics. Lighting works. Got stuck too fast. But well done for publishing.
After a while I had no place to go. And no upgrades :( Too bad. Nice, clean art style. good job
Cool graphics. Something that my grandchild loves ! thanks for making this.
Ow man you made my day. This is so surreal. I love everything about it. The art, story, music, atmosphere. You guys got max votes! it started with the title and I was thinking : this must be one of the biggest titles out there. And then the story unfolded and I keep on spinning, barely taking note of the conversation. But some hints of words made all the right connections to some TV stuff and other places. The grapling character that tries to pull you up and then to navigate it to one of those cirle spinners. Boy it was a treat. I laughed out loud. I thought : oh i must die now .. nooooooo it kept going .. ah how nice then I can enjoy another thing and another. Nightmare man .. ah just avoided it. Then .. Do I start over? No it is another thing a giant 3d head. But then after playing 10 minutes with the head nothing more appear and I didn't want to end the experience. As a surreal artist I really, really dig this game and you inspired me to work on these kind of games instead of the 'normal' stuff. Most of our games (including mine) are really straightforward and I rarely see this kind of ART . :hearts: :hearts: Edit: After 20 minutes looping this happened: head_stuck.gif well at least it fits the theme
Good feel for this game. Most of the time the 'hits' didn't register and that was kind of a good thing. I got in a real good flow.
Nice atmosphere. Good sound work. Consistent style!
Yikes. That finger got FAAAAAAR. Kind of an alien hand. Better not show it to my grandchild; it would give her ideas
I like the way you made the browser patch background match your background. Too bad that it didn't do that for the entire screen. Felt a bit like a keyboard mashing and that made it feel like I didn't had enough control over the ship.
You are the light (!) That is a good feeling. I wish I could get some powerups along the way.
Nice artwork. Missed instructions on-screen. But managed to get some where
Nice game. Great art-style. Love the deep thoughts! Well Done.
Cool faster! Good job on finishing. Mix of keyboard and mouse was a bit strange.
nice entry. The only thing that bothered me was that I didn't got the immediate reaction what kind of objects are bad and which I could navigate past. I really loved the different places you could visit. So I didn't felt all alone down there.
Nice those out-of-place textures. I like the way that I barely seem to reach the target. 'Feels' good.
Love the animations. Them coordinates should be in the game. I noticed it when I want to rate and got back and tried again. And then I was watching too close to the coordinates and got a jumpscare of those damn enemies with those cute grabling animations. Much better feeling than before.
Beautiful. Would have loved an animation on the scream  very nice congratulations on the executions.
Boy that is a large map. I don't know what happened the first time but left and right clicking didn't do much. As it appeared to have worked for others I tried again. To be honest I enjoyed the game the most to play someone elses game and go back to this one to click some more. I didn't had the patience to watch things going forward. But playing like that I enjoyed it  Edit: Hmm and then I lost my guys :( must be those evil robots. what a shame that they were around
Couldn't find the apple. loved the drawings.
Oops escape without a 'are you sure ' Nice concept. Like syko said: some smaller levels. Then I would feel so bad for my escape-key.
Some artificats on screen where messing up the objects. Inital music was ok but on scene 2 it was too loud. I dig the platformer style with the timing of the enemies. Good job.
A bit of a keyboard mash-up. didn't get that deep.
Good one. My poetry is too bad as it seems
Nice lighting. Cool water water effect. Tried 4 times and didn't get past the top area.
Sorry. Can't get my co2 up. Nice graphics.
Oh boy what a disaster that lurks on (seemingly) every tile. It felt like Frodo's journey. But at least you made a game where you can formulate that kind of journey in your head.
Ha Ha . nice one. Beautiful graphics. I didn't game with my GF since we would have a fight   Very satisfying bump effects and cool animations. I like!
wiiiiiiiiii Nice... Graphics are on par as well as humor and mood. Job well done
Nice Graphics. Nice controls. Felt good.
Very funny. But I needed to get back and read the instructions which is a bad thing. But after I did. WOW amazing. I adjusted the score that I had given you to much higher rating. So much satisfaction and the enemies are different. Excellent work after that initial bad run with not knowing how the laser/shit/barf worked. The only real suggestion left is that you don't deplet your dump in one go so that you have some left for the other enemies. Very satisfying. Good job.
Would have liked to have it a bit more forgiving.
Although the sounnd is beautiful it didn't match the scene. Well made graphics
Too hard on the controls. But i dig (!) the idea.
Well done. It wasn't clear that the dog didn't bathe  This has a lot in it. I don't know what the dog does with all that loot that I gave him. Especially the spades are a nice touch.
Love them puzzlers. Good one. Well executed.
Love the bright deepsea. Most of the games have a much darker theme but this one was nice. Unfortunately the response on control is tough. it didn't behave as fast as I would have liked. Overall : good job !
Bit too tricky to move for my taste. Love the drawings
Very cool and full of humor. Beautifull graphics and good feel for the controls. Well done
Cool idea. Nice theme I got  funny and moody.
I like the zooming into the earth. Nothing much happened after that.
Very great game. Cool mechanic. The only downside is that I tend to go DEEPER with my navigation and that wasn't always the good thing. Felt a nice vibe between games like lemmings with some beautiful little shader code. Great entry!
Too hard for me but it looked cool. It would have been cool if that video was IN the game. But regardless I keep seeing red... Release was ok, but the 'feel' where you could land wasn't there. Sorry, must be my fault because a lot of people seem to have got it right  Good job.
Nice spin. Didn't catch many fish though.
Awesome. It was a bit hard to control by myself but it felt cool. Good Job.
Nice exploration game that had a good ambience and didn't want to kill me, like most of these games want ...
Great work in changing it up into the dungeon. Level transition could have been a bit clear. It went from vertical scroll to a black screen. A text 'level up' would have felt better. Again : creat mix up of game mechanic. That was a nice touch.
Cool. The start was a bit unforgiving. Could have used a more gradual progression. Very funny game. Well done
Good take on the theme. Job well done!
A bit unforgiving due to the randomness. Got 5 terrible rockformations on my initial 5 runs. The sixth was better and I manage to get somewhere.
Ha ha. Humor : top notch. I've learned my deepest lesson when I was down there. It helped when you play full screen. Tip to the others : move the camera
The start was nice. The graphics and control could use some love.
Wow. Cool. That was a lot of work you put in and it shines(!) Excellent stuff. You are the first entry of about 50 that I played that got a 5 out of 5 for graphics.
The sharks could use some emphasis. Good balance on the animation and non-animation.
Didn't start for me. Sorry
Wow multiple games into one. Excellent stuff. Hard but not hard enough to quit. Took some time to get the idea of the folders. Job well done!
Excellent work. It took me a while to figure it out but when I did it was really cool. Nice way to navigate. Cool job.
Nice audio and great rythmic game. Overall great VIBE  Good job.
Good spin on the theme. Thouht it was too simple but then I got a set of new deepers ... good one!
Humours game. Well done. It took me a while to figure out that I was the razor. I thought I was the pill at the bottom.
Great entry. I wish that I knew what was down a pit before I enter it. I tried sparying but couldn't see any 'bad' thing and I jumped .... eh ... that didn't wend so good. I really liked the smaller screen. It was better than the fullscreen version. Apart from not knowing if you are on a good path the journey was delightful. I always wanted to make this kind of thing but CPU didn't allow it. So kudo's on the code. (I don't use construct so I'm not sure if it comes with some mechanic like this). But regardless of that : great work.
Excellent music. Very satisfying. Thought it was too easy and then I lost a leg  great job .. it took me a mile or so to lose completely. Enjoyed it. thank you, good job. Ow and funny as well due to the losing of the leg ....
Very polished game. I rarely see this but this has some good level progression. And I also say very rarely that it feels kind of 'too easy'. But then again if it wasn't that accessible I would never have enjoyed all those levels you made. Good job.
Ha ha .. my girlfriend suggested this theme to me when I talked about it. thanks for making this.
web not working .. too bad.
very nice looking game. The music was cool too. I wish I was better at this. I felt there was lots more to adventure to. Great one! Contratulations.
Very well made. the controls are excellent and progression is nice. Combo's where nice touch and fellt great. Well done!
I couldn't figure out how to let the hens go to the water/food. I thought clicking on them would let them know .. Nice graphics and atmosphere. Well done.
@hadik: thanks for the reply. reading in a game .. that is not my cup of tea. sorry.
that as very fun to play. Very satisfying gameplay. The sound effects are great but would be more awesome with a little music behind it. But the sound effects could make for a propper-base-line ... ha ha ...
Well done
wow picking up the cat : nice work! What a lot kittens do I have .. where do they all come from? I have to tell my GF not to let the door open!
Good one. Very enjoyable.
Very nice game.
( - )
* the amount of suns in level 3 is a bit too much. (also the generator gave a harsh one at first; 3rd and 4th runs were much more forgiven). But you could maybe introduce 1 sun or 2 rather than 3
( + ) * Random level generation is great * controls feel good * graphics good
Well done.
The robot was nice. I thought the first thing it did was drank the water .. ha ha ha .. but it was just the animation. But it put a smile on my face the whole time. Didn't get anything done really but I liked the time I had. Well done.
Nice little towerdefense with a cool yellow explosion effect. Well done.
It spawns a bit too much in the begining of the game. Didn't manage to grab them. But running around felt good as long as there were not too many of them.
clever game. Unforatunaely the grabbing doesn't work a lot. But I like the idea!!! Graphics are nice!
Too bad that you didn't sound it at all. just a little explosion / fire would have set the mood even greater. You made up for it by making great graphics. i espescially like the option menu with just three clear objects to select from which casted shadows. Well done.
Cool idea. Not really game - like. Would be better to select photographs from a list you provide.
Loved the animations! Good job! Unfortunately I lack the control-skills to make a decent score/time. But I had a very nice time enjoying the animations. I needed to read the instructions on the keys. But once I did I had a blast. Maybe next time put the instructions in game?!?! Either way: well done. Again Especially on the nice animations!
Ha ha .. nice. not really matching the theme to the tick, but I love it!
Nice ! Unfortunately the generation is a bit too steep in the beginning (at least the runs I had.)
Controls are good and most of the things are just fine except for the generated levels.
Good job
love the game. Loaded a bit long. Smooth controls but need a little help in jumping. Music really got to its flurry a bit long. Could use the dynamics early on. Good graphics!.
Job wel done!
Thanks zoglu. I had multiplayer done before the graphics. But couldn't make time to make the GUI/Buttons/Menu for the room selection. So I removed the option. Basically multiplayer was turn based. If you didn't make a move within 10 seconds the other player(s) would win.
thank you for the feedback @thegamearchitect . As I was not using a game engine lots of things needed to be made by myself. But good points that I can work on to improve.
@dfyzet : Good catch! I replayed it to check it out .. well at least you didn't lose ...
@xpycm : multiplayer mode will be that each player has 10 seconds to make a move. If one of them can't make the move the others will win. The mechanics for multiplayer were done, but unfortunately I didn't had time to make the same GUI/Buttons. I didn't want to have the crappy - programmer - code mixed with the other graphics of the game. So I will need to make button generator for the rooms that player can create / join. I tend to do only 48compo and there was no more time left. Once again I put too much time in a multiplayer version to end up not delivering up on it. ... but there is always a next LD where I can re-attempt. Thanks for the feedback!
@pixelydian : I have thought about it, but I don't want to mix reviews. If the online player has better feedback it could skew the result and feedback of the solo one. But I'm definetly going to make the online version. I have the code ready. all-be-it experimental but it was playable by m.e. and my gf. So I'm thinking of making the link public after judging ends. But thank you for the feed back ! really appreciate it!
@bangthewall : yeah I did that for mobile playment. So that your finger doesn't overlap with the piece. But I couldn't zoom the scene so that it scaled nicely on mobile. I fixed that meantime (offline) for mobile but I would need to check for mobile as well which I found the code for as well. Either way : this will be implemented. Good suggestion/catch on that. Some people seem to be adjusting well to the weird behavior. But I totally agree with your point and will be addressed post-compo. Thanks!
AWESOME review @Vykri. Thank you very much. All of the issues you commented on were very valid. I am aligned with all of them and will attempt to implement them in a post-ludum-dare. Thank you for making the youtube video!!! The advice for doing more stuff is appreciated and game modes are definitely on my radar.
The best thing was to spawn 100s of characters all screaming .. ha ha .. I had to do full screen mode to get to the SPAWN button.
well done
Too bad about the introduction taking long. The game play was intuitive. The cloning/recording was awesome idea. You put a good amount of play in there. The only suggestion I really have is the use of the camera.. it was limiting my control of the character. But I'm not really a gamer and this could well be no problem for all those unity players. Good Job.
Ha ha .. racing snails.. Cool. Thank you for respawning to the same level and not starting over.
But i'm not a good gamer. like to make them so I don't made it far.
But solid game with nice graphics and mood. Well done.
Nice voice over. Sometimes the walking stops when pressing arrows .
I can't see the rating - settings. So unfortunately no scores from m.e.
I couldn't hear any sounds. It would be way easier if there was a voice that was telling the rules. Reading and moving at the same time is tough!
I like the graphics and the balloon-tank made me smile :!
good job
player should really move faster. Graphics, lighting are nice.
very well made! I love almost everything about this. Changing 'themes', the voice acting, the music, mix from picking and avoiding. Smooth controls. not really innovative but you ticked all the other boxes.
I was attempting to type in the answers, to realize that I needed to click the numbers.
I like the audio. Also the number of fails is a good touch. When you made one (mis)calculation it would be game over.
I didn't had the feeling that I did much controlling with the power-ups. I needed other comments to find out what was happening behind me. That is too bad since the action really was behind me instead of in front. But I like the visuals. Especially the little 'fire-robot' you put on the page. But I didn't come across it in the game. But that was maybe that I stopped too early .. Well done.
Good entry. The indicator of that enemies are spawning is a good touch. Personally I prefer arrow-keys but I still could manage to control it. Good Job.
I'm bad at the controls but it looks cute. Would love to pick up the baby but i manage to always get stuk on the wall...
that made me go back in the day. A text adventure! cool. Solid game. Well done.
I've got to read the instructions in the submission text to scroll through the intro. Put a 'press space' bar. Kind of easy.
(Still) broken
The embeded version didn't work, the itchio did work.
Cool graphics. Would really shine if there was like a creepy music. And the tasks could be voice-over. That would really make the experience better. now I need to read the line and navigate. But I totally understand the stress on time and the visuals are good!
Well done!
way too high learning curve.
I like the noise in the graphics.
Real spooky, but I didn't find I had much control over how to escape. I still don't know what killed me all those times ... But I like the graphics and lighting and the audio to keep the mood/atmosphere going on. Well done on that.
Controls are bit wonkey . Character could only walk after it was attacked.
The most fun I had was when my character was behind a fence between tree and fence and the npc's having collision fights and flying around the scene.
Nice little game. I couldn't get behind enemy ships. But I'm bad at playing these kinds of games. Good sound effects, but could use some music.
good job.
I beat most of the levels without actually thinking over them. So the rules aren't really clear. The undo system works nice and it is a good idea to make something with 10 moves based on the color. At least that was what I thought was happening .....
Great job. I like the title screen where you learn how to navigate. Most of the games let you figure out the controls and then the time is up .. ha ha ... Controls feel smooth. Everything is very enjoyfull. To bad there isn't audio. But I really understand about all the work that is involved.
The only tip I could/would give is that you spawn the enemies a little bit further away when the game starts.
Compliments!
nice graphics: the enemies are upon me too quickly! Rest is nice! good Job!
audio + graphics are good. Took a bit of time before it was rocking. I kind of liked the first part where I thought that I had to climb the plant to bring the food to the people. But than i got the idea and keep going deeper.
The graphics and mechanic are very well. I Thought the first run what I had to do and then the shed was something I propably had to do something. So it was a bit confusing what the 'game-area' was/is. But very nicely made. It controlled well and the picking up mechanic was nice and polished! Good job
ha ha .. took way longer than I expected on this to get hits. good job all be it a bit simple on graphics, I liked the mechanic!
Cool! Took a bit to figure out that given actions would reset and need to recycle back. but that is part of the challenge! Nice graphics, music and I had a blast. Good job.
ha ha .. don't match with most of them .. ha ha Well done.
Ha ha .. nice .. At first I just picked some random arrows and I found it quite funny. But after 2 minutes my score was still 0 and I took a little time to do it 'right'. I don't like reading a lot of text so my suggestion would be to make the arrow keys stand out and let the player do that. Ok it might not be that challenging, but it would me it easier to play. Also mixing input devices (mouse/keyboard) isn't very good for the experience. I do like the graphics and mood very much. Job well done!
good thing that you didn't want me to press space while I always would have anyway. Good design choice. Nice up ramping of difficulty. well done.
Nice idea. Would love to play it online. Turn based would be better because CPU took all 'my' cards.. ha ha ha.. Had fun with this. good job.
graphics are nice. But, sorry, not my cup of tea. It took too long to get anything done for m.e. But I like the pulsating audio. Congratulation on publishing!
Ha Ha .. most of the games 10 seconds is a little, this game it is a lot. Nice graphics, atmosphere, mode and music.
Good Job!
Excellent mechanics. I will steal the idea for a future game ha ha ha ha ha mouse movement without clicking .. I wanted to make a swipe pattern game once and I had problems to design it. Could really have used this idea .. so needless to say that I really enjoyed your entry. You ticked high on humor, overal, fun, innovation (extra) Job well done!!!!!
well made. Propably a shader involved? Good changing the music to show the emotion. Good controls and nicely balanced game play in regards of the enemies. well done.
solid game. as a non-native-english speaker I am not a high ranking player. But I manage to get 50 seconds at one time .....
excellent game. Top Atmosphere (mood) and great graphics. Ranking good on most others. I made it home yeah!!! But I'm really, really wet now. Really engaging.Very well done!
too bad I'can't master it .. looks promising. I like the arc!
Ahhh reminded me of my old MSX games. I loved it. But I'm so bad at controls. When I finally (after more than 2 minutes) got the ship to the little guy(or girl) I didn't realize that i had to thrust up and crashed. The person died as well .. ahhhhhhh...
Very well made. Congratulations. Good Mood!
beatiful effects. well made. nice atmosphere.
having mini-fun but the controller could be a little tighter. But I'm not a good platform-gamer so it could be just m.e. well done!
itch io link isn't working as well ...
Cool thanks cobrajs. Now I was able to play it .. was terrible busy matching them at the end .. ha ha .. those naughty matchy sticks ..
Ha ha took me a lot of 10 seconds to understand that I have to type those incredibly difficult names. And I didn't look at the graphics from that point ... ha ha ... Very clever idea, but if you put the name only on the bird than at least I know how it looks. Now I known how to type Cortunix cortunix but I don't know how it looks .. ha ha ha .
Good game.
ha ha .. way to hard to control but it was very funny. It is exactly I would imagine how it turns out if I was in a fast food restaurant as 'the chef' .. top on humor!
Good idea. Maybe it happens when you are further along the game that you have need of two heros in one level. Now I beat the enemies regardless of the type of hero. Or that you have to wait for a hero to enter a room where you know one of them is better. Regardless: solid game. Nice effect on switching. One time the green slime attacked me when i was going through a door. But most of the times it was balanced out that you could emphasize the level. well done.
Sorry, I join the others: can't understand what to do.
This is awesome. I laughed right from the first moment it turned. Ohhh.. those poor people ... I want a mode where it is the opposite : you win by killing them all ... and I'm a pacifist .. You made it THAT good!
Great game.
When a new enemy spawns that you don't know it can be hard. But the Checkpoints are great! Would hate to start over with the same. ha ha Nicely balanced overall. As always I tend to focus on the bullets and not the enemies so I had to dodge too much to actually kill them... ha ha .. Well done.
ha ha nice one. cute graphics. Too bad that there wasn't even a little bit of sound. But then again: that would make mom come in rather quickly :D well done.
Could do without the 'wall of text' : the controls are easy to understand. I love the enemies more than the player-character .. ha ha ... Good entry!
ha ha .. Love the atmosphere. The sound, the lights. At first I didn't got it but once I had to time the run I felled challanged. Nice one!
good controls. good feeling. Had a hard time in getting two simultaneous attacks blocked. There should be a little gap in between them to get the action going. Well done for most parts.
Cool game. Guns in hell work : good to know .. ha ha ha .. Would like to be able to pick up more health in heaven. But nicely balanced for the other parts. Well done overall!
I like the picking things up and dropping it. All be that I seem to walk on the food with my foot :D ha ha .. Sorry but I couldn't make the orders since I'm not good at these controls. But I did like the picking/up/dropping mechanic.
could be a tight bit better on the controls. Good graphics. Nice atmosphere. Well done
Well done mixing game types. Also nice touches as swords being clinked to walls (which might not be intentional, but it was a cool effect) Physics interaction between the different weapons wasn't prohibiting movement which I thought it was. Nice work!
Nicely made game. The only thing I would like is to have a restart on the same puzzle. I now have to do all the others before ending up on the one that I was killed by. So many deaths......... I'm not cut out to be in the bomb-squad.
Well done!
Pressing mouse on the title screen to start was not so intuitive. Also the mouse didn't work in the game .. that is a confusing control scheme.
Instructions/timer rotate as well, which is a bit difficult to follow.
I thought the shields were bad due to the color.
Enemy spawning needs a radar or it shouldn't go as fast.
I like how the graphics and style staid uniform. I like the audio.
The graphics are nice but not really a game.
nice job. After the end there was no 'retry' and I had to restart the game. Graphics good and well done on the atmosphere.
I must be stupid because I played it 10 times and still couldn't make the switch open the door. Tried a bunch of keys but wasd didn't do it for me. I am on chrome.
Ah .. now it works. Maybe it glitched out the first few attempts .. Thanks!
very well made. It had me counting and guessing. Great risk/reward combination. But I sometimes wish I had a key to get it to move dammit ... ha ha
Well done!
Well done on your first entry. Took me a little to figure out that I could move past the trailing effect. And the snowflakes aren't harmfull. But I enjoyed the itch version. embed didn't work for me
Cool idea. My tertris is more regular but you made it almost like an adventure. Graphics/music are good. Could use some effect when you kill yourself. love the facial expressions. The only thing I would change is the colors. it is sometimes hard to differentiate the different reds.
Wow .. that is an impressive amount of stuff you made in 48 hours. I liked the mechanic but it defeats the purpose of small space even when you start on it. I enjoyed the oposite : using it as a level builder. The automatic live action is cool and I got excited that it could become a lemmings kind of thing but rather than breaking stuff you make stuff. Very well done. Great idea and an inspiration! Keep up the good work!
I've searched for my post that I made to see if you finished the game ! AND YOU DID !!! WOW. this is very well made. In the end I gave up on one of them since I would have driven away to search for a better spot (i would have loved to skip that one that see other challenges) Very well made and I will challenge my grandson to a duel! Thank you for making this!
Fun little game! A bit hard to see the exit due to dark red on black and R for Restart information should be in the game. The intro was a bit long for replayability (I didn't realize the R and restarted the whole game twice) I like the atmosphere, humor and graphics! Good job!
HA ! When I saw CPU killed CPU I immediately launched a new window and was hoping for multiplayer .. to bad .. would really fit this game to play with someone else! Either way: well done. Liked the graphics and smooth controls.
@ellaris : thanks for playing and commenting . Good suggestion on the restart button. I deliberately made the animation attempting to match the audio. Maybe that was a mistake and I should also have the tapdance sound be speed up. Again: thank you for your valuable feedback.
@ellaris : I liked your idea of speeding up better. There is a client-server communication. The server decides if there is a valid move. But it is done fast and is not part of the reason why the animation is slow. The animation is slow because of the sound. And that is a bad way to look at it. I had it far faster and it felt better and that should have been my eye-opener to adjust the other thing. But in the time-constraint my brain wouldn't come up with that! Again: thanks a lot for your feedback and your thoughts!
@Kaimon : Yeah restart button and speed are on my 'be better'-list. The layout stays the same and there are 5 levels. But the replayability is in multiplayer where one could rearrange an even more elaborate puzzle to be solved by another. @alec : I had dancing girls and my girl friend responded to my question : what is a small space : the bathroom. I have thought about some way to visually connect the girls and I came up with highlighting them when you press on one of the girls. I initially had just thought about 3 girls either horizontally or vertically but the ' parent id' method I came up with suited multiple girls to be ' tied ' to eachother. Even not adjecent. I might use this technique in future puzzles.
Thanks both for leaving feedback and playing my game : greately appreciated!
@ruben-rosenmeyer : thank you for your kind words. Yeah after the time has past it fails to repeat .. didn't notice that before. Thanks for reporting! @glove: with a simple code change I can speed things up, but I don't think that is in the sense of the 'bugfixes are allowed' . Also the soundeffect should be sped up and I don't think that is allowed either. I have quite a few things on my list (both from here and from friends) to improve upon, but I love to hear more if you have!
@endurion : yeah too slow .. got that remark already! I thought about the group and I think it will be better if all girls that are in one group have the same color. Quite easy to search/replace in Aseprite. But thank you for your idea! @aligator: Thanks for the feedback! Apreciated! @5mixer: Yeah .. Same as endurion about the colours. Particles where meant to stay active (it is a GIF made in Blender)
Thanks for the feedback! As always I apreciate it!
@cyber-puffin: Absolutely right : grouping with a visual cue! Ha ha .. toilet paper on their shoe linking them together .. I liked that !!! But I wanted have levels where the same kind of girls are a apart but move as a group. But I really like the toiletpaper visual : ha ha ha .. hope it will not be used toilet paper .. ha ha ha. Thanks for playing and commenting!
@Alis: thank you for playing and commenting. Slow play is on the radar and I've asked for some testing results on either animation or if the multiplayer is impacting stuff. https://ldj.am/$380992 Is it pissing or washing hands :D but yeah I'm 58 and still a child. I removed the farts since it was a bit too much, but couldn't resist in to put some water stuff in. Yeah grouping is another thing on my todo list. Again: thank you for playing and commenting.
@cogcomp: Thank you for playing and commenting. Music is where I struggle most so I will try to make better effort in future jams. Good catch on my weakest link :D
@don-shinski: Thank you for playing and commenting.
@nick-rafalski: thank you for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed your bathroomtime.
@sudocoffee: Thank you for commenting! Yeah, the connecting girls are on my todo list. In fact I'm working on it now for the 'post-compo' version. As well as the slow movement which will have an impact on the speed of the tapdance.
@nadia-pixel: yeah : slow movement is a quick fix but it isn't a real bug so I didn't fix it. Due to the compo submission time was limited. The multiplayer part and the dancing took quite a significant time to get right. Detailing the clothes on the girls would take adjustments on over 60 drawings. But thank you for the suggestion and also thank you for commenting and playing! Greately appreciated.
Ahhhh that was an adorable game. Too bad that the top most screen isn't tellable if an orca is comming. I had a GOOD ending :D ha ha .. very nice. Well Done.
Awesome idea and execution! Thank you for making this: I enjoyed this out-of-the-box/in-the-box game!
Wow that was fun until I managed to got on a path that I didn't see that was broken. I couldn't find a way to hit the iron wood thing that crashed me when I got 300 health but I escaped from that one to die misserabily in the pit of doom. Well made! The speed of the scrolling is good and the mistake I made could be avoided if I didn't rush things. Reminded me of some mobile games I played. Keep up the good work!
You implemented an idea I also had for a different game. my idea was to never go back on your path but I like your idea as well that you ' lose ' sand by rewalking a path. Very nicely done. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to give a score?!
HA! I liked it better when I catched them and crashed the meteor in another meteor !!! The music is well made. The shoot effect could be dialed down a bit on the volume. You don't have much control over spawning meteors on the edges of the screen and thus colliding ... Well Done!
I liked that the walls didn't kill you when they finally meet .. the robot was saving me! Nice touch!
Ha HA HA .. I wanted the cow on board. It didn't want to go on deck. But I moved something around and now it is living below my bed. Nice little game. Unfortunately I couldn't get much profit. Best to keep my day-job!
Ah nice .. a snake game where the area is shrinking. And there is a high-score! Cool! I enjoyed this for a few minutes! Well done!
Fun little puzzler .. all those rules .. it reminded me of simon says .. well done. I enjoyed some minutes keeping track of the colors.
This was fun. I had a smile on my face from start to finish. Good job.
I couldn't make the meat increase. So I keep ending up with a game over due to not paying back the loan I got (even though I never asked for it :D ) Graphics are solid. Missed a soundtrack to accompany my bad descissions ha ha ha
Ha ha .. I tried putting the shrooms next to eachother and then part of the island disappeared. Second time around I had the raft but I thought I would be able to put the shrooms on the raft and the game restarted. Overall relaxing and smooth experience. Simple music is fitting. Well done giving the timeconstraint.
Nice graphics and swift mechanic. Well done.
Not my cup of tea. But at least you published something. That is more than a lot of others do!
Dang .. those oceans got a ton of stuff .. better have the turtle controlled by a more experienced human. Fun little physics game where the water rises a bit too much for my personally skills. Well done!
Wow that is a steep difficult curve. I suggest the starting wave to come in much slower to get accustomed to the shooting. I like the shrinking of space and the effects. well done.
Nice trial and error kind of puzzle solver. The limited space implementation is more of a visibility thing where you need a broader picture to solve. Personally I would like to have an overview, but it is nice to get involved with different approaches on doing puzzles. So thank you for reminding me that there is always another path (pun intended :D )
The status updates where the story goes is a nice touch. Didn't get the vibe of how it is related to the theme. At first I thought the spacebar was for stopping the car but I guess it is story driven. Did not encounter much else than some passengers (one of them was bit but apparently the medkit does wonders to zombies) So yeah I enjoyed the little story. The graphics and rest is solid. Good job.
Hi ellaris. You deserved some comments on your game of course! Game works fine on chrome running in windows. Both windowed and full screen. Maybe I've missed someting but the birds aren't that fast to go to my mouse position. I liked that there where chores to be made. I once had the white bar moving from left to right but a sheep didn't got fed and still the 'sheep where saved' .. I didn't mind :D Well done!
This was promissing but I had a hard time with rotating and moving stuff. Music was a bit up beat for the semmingly relaxing vibe that I thought a Feng Shui game had. But job well done!
Ha Ha .. When the ' you got x ' I thought I understood. Played it again and made different (now well thought I guessed) actions and failed again! ha ha .. my brain does not work anymore after this weekend. Interesting game since it really differs (I don't say that is bad or good ) I might be trying later when I'm more rested to figure it out!
When the game started it looked nice but as soon as I found the lantern I didn't know what to do. I hit spacebar and clicked on it with the mouse. I used arrow keys and none of them worked on the lantern. When I moved on I fell a bit and after that every move I attempted resulted in a screen shake (I'm in window mode on Windows with the chrome browser)
Dang that sound was hard on the ears. The embeded play crashed as soon as I tried to move.
Clever game once I got the hang of it. I didn't realize that there was a path for the smiley face to be walked. Well done to implemented the limited space but it would more suite a ' you control the level and not the player '. So in fact it is a very well made entry for multiple themes :) I might get back to level 8 since that is where I struggle most!
AHHHHH .. I thought : how nice that the walls are forgiving as the ship is difficult to control. And then came level 2 .. I would have spend more time on this if you had a smoother difficulty curve. starting with a very simple room with no curves and gradually making it more difficult. But that could be just my problem since I like making games more than playing them :D Interesting to see how others fair ! Good Job!
hmm for 5 minutes I don't see much else than accepting or denying risks with clicking buttons. To be honest: it wasn't that much fun. Maybe there is more to this than I have seen and I appologize if there is more content. But I didn't reach that point.
Very well done! Sokoban with a twist. Implementation is solid. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to give a score?! Must be because of M.E. since it happens with all games. Hopefully that will be fixed or I find the magic button?!?! Anyway : compliments.
Sorry but I'm too dumb to get it to work. I fill up the summon by pressing the QWE things and I move with A and S. I like the art style and I miss the audio :D and hopefully some other players might be able to figure it out.
Unfortunately I'm to dumb for this game. It would have helped if I understood the symbols. Also, I'm not a native english speaker so I rarely did understand the grimoire. I really liked the modd, graphics and audio.
You really should put instructions in the game. The position of the first level on the left hand bottom screen is a position that is not often selected to start your game. Is that intentional? Because I didn't read the instructions I had to go out of it to get the hint on solving number three. I've stopped after level 6 since I had the urge to cheat and create screendumps to solve the next one. Really nice concept! I like the mood with the scraping sound. job well done
Wow that was really fun to play. you balanced it perfectly. I could go for 5 minutes and my healthbar was still green. I thought that I had some some other walls next to the area I was but I couldn't get to it. At first I thought I had to shoot something but when there was automatic summoning I really digged the ' avoid the hord ' game. And I was amazed how well you balanced the speed of the enemies and the risk-reward mechanism to score points. I missed the score on the screen, but I kept my eye on the minutes without death. Thank you for making this. I enjoyed it.
I like the music and the effects. I kept on placing ships and they interacted but I didn't got the ' feel ' that I was using a strategy and I didn't understand the stategy .. Maybe I was doing it right, but I didn't got the feedback that I was doing fine. I really like the red indicator that you can't place boats somewhere. Good job!
You really help the player along the way of the journey. There was a knock knock at the beginning but further there was no sound. / audio. I see that you opted out of the sound which would really set a mood going on. Otherwise, Well done. A bit too much text for m.e. personally
ah .. too bad that it isn't actual multiplayer .. i love multiplayer games .. i started another session but it was it's own. Maybe you can put the players a bit closer .. a lot of moves. I like the switching between the players. well done!
@mmayans: thank you for playing .. what resolution does your laptop have? I can hopefully fix the issue.
@lexgear : Too bad that the solo didn't work for you. Theere you would have 'learned' that you need to push two of the same elements together to make your path in the multiplayer section.
@freakyzelga : yeah I know about the wish for undo .. my girlfriend also wished for it. During solo that would not be so challeging but I started to make the multiplayer game and there an undo is kind of tricky. But I could have made more effort in implementing it. all be it the last available undos that are technically possible without breaking some other players content .. Thank you for commenting and playing the game.
@meepster thanks for playing and commenting . Hmm I will need to get some laptops out of storage to try to mimic what you guys see on solo .. And the strategy is the main and core mechanic of the game. Glad you liked it! Thanks for the nice feedback. That is so great about this compo.. It really helps to improve my 'engine'.
@abrds thank you for playing and giving the feedback. Yes: it is made with clay. I underestimated the time it took to clean it up .. and almost was faster using aseprite to begin with. But hey LD is about trying things :D . Thanks about the undo .. yeah .. I know. But it took way too much in my brain to implement that at the last moment. But good point!
@sirjupitron thank you for playing and commenting.
thanks for playing and commenting @chusmimax the game feeling points are noted and I have to ponder over them.
@weirdo-studios Thanks for playing and commenting. SFX were a last minute thing. The soundtrack took me a while, but indeed the element sounds could use more love!
@evilgeniusdance : thanks a lot for commenting and playing. The sumon friends matched my mulitplayer aspect but summoning elements is the title of the game and I've seen it done by others as they tend to think that elements have force you can summon ... But thank you for your words! I've should have made the controls match the device. It works pretty solid on mobile but indeed control introduction was on my todo list .. which had priorities! An undo in multiplayer is really tough, but as I have played the game during a twitch sesion it became very clear that 4 players at the same time need another mechanism. like player range .. so that is on my todo list for next LD .. and in a player range you can definitely use undo ..
@fullsaphir : thanks for playing and commenting!
@wheffle : thank you for playing and commenting .. I've done multiplayer implentation first and then you don't want to restart for other players .. But like I said in the main entry : i was suspecting a lot of comments on this ha ha ha .. Thanks for the kind words.
@saprina289 : thank you for playing and commenting .. I am not sure if it is in the spirit of 'bug'fixing to put a n undo button in the game after submitting to the compo?! It is a relative easy fix ..
@kirass Thanks for playing and commenting. I appreciate it!
@pimeko : thank you for playing and commenting. There is an undo button. But yeah restart level is another button I could have added. But I guess the undo was a bit of a stretch to add after compo. Again thank you for your kind words.
@magicdweedoo : thank you for playing and commenting. I appreciate it!
Well Done! The only critique I have is that the inidicator of the 'grab' action could be filled a little bit when you are near the object. I didn't realize that you had to keep the Action key pressed. Also the 'eat' items could be near the bot at first. Because I first thought that I had to feed him the enemies to bring them to hime :D ha ha ha :D The graphics and audio give a nice but not too frantic mood. That is really fitting. You should be proud!
Very well done. I would llike to have a hint in game for the rightmouse click to clear the item. I dig the art style! I rated it highly! The music is not repetatitive enough to enjoy. The only critique I have would be to slowly increase the target number of items to 'collect' You start by collecting 6. Why not start with 3 and ramp up the requirement for each level. But again: very well made entry. I enjoyed it.
Boy that are way too many instructions for the first level. Maybe there is only one level?Sorry, I'm not in the mood to replay the game as I occupied the middle section where I needed to put the skull on page 5. The speaking voice is nice and made me smile. The music is upbeat and gave a nice mood to not make life as scarry as it could have been with those summoning creatures that I'm playing all day :id:
thank you for the itch page .. I could play and had a good time spawning the chickens .. but the next incantation is a bit much ... where does the eye come from?! Also those bloody chickens move way too fast to grab some of them feathers. But I had a good time. Like the consitency of the art style and love the drop/take items and place them at different spots .. well made game!
A bit hard to come up with a good strategy .. tried the first three rooms and didn't get them all :( .. I like the graphics and the remove sommon and placement mechanics. Well done.
Wow .. too bad that there is way too many things to remember and goig on. But overall I pretty much liked everything : the art style, the wide-spreaded incantor the moaning the telephone, the books with confusing scribbles the effect on the summoning-wheel. Excellent mate! Well done!
Ah nice a typing game. I like instructions in game and not to read the description. Also I understood the question that I need to type in all the colored words that had the same color. So I starting typing out all blue ones but later discovered that you need the color of the monster ... well after 5 attempts I finally slayed some of them. Like the mood and the audio together with the graphics. Very well done! Thank you for making this to be enjoyed!
Like it a lot. But felt a bit disapointed that when I went again it started with the tutorial again. I thought that there was maybe something on the main screen I have missed so I restarted it. Nice effects and good tutorial!!! What @meepster says : love to see if it was expanded on. But we all know how limited the time is since programming / art is taking wayyyyyy longer than assumed in your head! Job wel done and thank you for the experience.
Nice entry .. good leveling up .. good in-game instructions. Well made !! Sometimes it feels a bit uncontrollable. could be just m.e. Overall nice graphics, good style, good concept and especially I like the gradual increasing of difficulty using the power-ups along the way to keep things balanced. Good job!
unfortunately the keyboard controls don't match the requested action. For instance A key moves to the left and does not interact. Therefore I couldn't do any real thing. That is too bad because the art style, music made for a solid mood that I would have enjoyed more. Nice animations on the things that I did see.
Ah that is a shame .. I don't have a controller.
Ah I love almost all of this. Which really bothers me is that the background are pictures. You could have done without any background and keep the same art style. Which is AWESOME !! I really dig everything about the mood by the character designs the text the music. All of it. So graphics are score a tiny less than it could have. Very, very well made and it made me smile. My girlfriend was saying to me : are you playing a sex game just from that one image.. Again, thank you for making this. Well done.
Unfortanetely the sound does not seem to work. Nice, polished well made game! Humor scores high with me. Awesome game mechanic on the spawning of the eggs. Job well done!
great balance between the funny dialog and typing mechanism .. could not care less about the timer.. i would keep doing this, even if the dialog is repeated :D
Ha ha .. you had a similar take on summoning elements as my idea! So that of course is a very good thing .. ha ha ha .. I would have liked a kick-animation. Also I didn't at first understood that you had to select the button above the slime to get it to do something. But after that I had a blast. Good entry, well done.
The game is so beautifull but missing instructions. I got awsd but no other key seems to interact with anything. That is too bad because I really like the concept, the art style, the mood. Which I at least scored, but if anyone can tell me what the action key is? And if I'm supposed to push something, the eye character has reverse moveability that I'm not accustomed to.
@cymusi tanks for responding. If the goal is to make some potions (green purple which are indicated on the left hand side) then the controls WAS are way too difficult for me as a 59 old grandpa .. I would have opted for regular up/down/left/right for that important mechanic. But hey .. it is your game! I hope others will have a better knowledge of the movement that is counter intuitive. (I have seen some other games like boat/submarine do this as well and I hate them as well :D )
it would be nice to see 'the next' set to really strategies. I feel it is more like a random luck kind of move.. could be that I couldn't figure out the information on screen. Really dig the art style. Well done.
Well made entry. Especially the character controller and multiple space bar interactions. Clever. Too bad for the lack of sound which could have helped for the mood. Again, nice concept and execution of the drag/drop mechanism. You don't see that implemented too much and!
Realy nice concept. I enjoyed playing this. I would have kept the summon-signs on board longer to figure out a move. And maybe delete them when x sides are matching. But it is certainly a very nice mechanic you have got here. Compliments.
After three attempts there is no spawning of any sommoned creatures. I attempted to mimmick your screenshots, but 'my' bugs don't appear. I like the music allthough you opted out of the compo for it :D . An in-game instruction or tutorial would be helpfull. I like the mood and unfortunately I can't seem to get in some kind of real game flow.
Wow .. that is way too much to handle for my kind of game-playing-character-control person. I can manage to get a 100 on one item and not on all of the other items. Too much key pressing for m.e. sorry. Hopefully some other hero can finish the quest. I like the fluid controls even thouh i can control them ... Job well done.
Fun little entry. I didn't manage to get far due to the obstacles that break my path. But I really like the spinning effect on the summoning spell. Well done.
Good that you posted another link to your game because the main one errored out. I suck at fast paste games so I didn't complete all of them with 100%. The rabbits pushed me to a spot I couldn't escape from. I like the graphics . Some kind of music would really be fitting here to get a mood going on. But I really understand all the pressure and work that needs to be done in 48 hours. So job well done!
nice polished game. The drop could me more forgiving making a better assumption on where you place the object. Got RSI from dragging and dropping. Maybe i will give it a go on mobile. Thanks for making this and good luck.
Bouncy (ice) cubes in the void .. hmm .. I did pretty well I think. I didn't get killed by the daemons. Would be nice if the block below the buttons are the color of the character. I keep hitting R which isn't red :D I like the fact that even when the ingredients are leaving the bowl the correct entry is still accepted by the customer ha ha ha
@potatofinch Ah, that makes sense then .. it is intended and that is the difficulty I had to work with. Kind like a reverse ' simon ' says. Now that you say it .. it makes sense in the end. ' I could have written it down on a post-it and put that on the screen ' ha ha ha
unfortunately the screen is cut off and i only see part of it which makes controlling anything really hard. That is too bad because what I did see was nice. The indicators of the keyboard controls where there but not something I think moves on the bottom?!?! Hope you can fix it so that I can retry ...
The mouse movement for the camera was way too fast and I had difficulty orienting myself. It was a bit hard to estimate the input needed to do double/triple jumps. But I manage to get some colection. Congratualtions on submitting a game.
That is different! A kind of a stats game. You have a lot going on and a lot to discover. I am afraid I don't have the timespan to invest in this. And that is kind of bad since it looks promissing to collect all them stars and name them and get in the hall of fame for collecting the most interesting stars.
Great entry! I love these kinds of games!! Although this can benefit in a bit of a small tutorial or at least starting with an even simpeler level. I dig the mechanic and overall game play! Job well done!
That was a nice twist. I love the 'collecting' angle, ha ha poor villagers. It took me a few times to figure the strategy out. I was taking and not giving back :D Good job!
Ah Another game about butterflies! Similar minds :D Game is nice. Unfortunately the catching of the butterflies does not feel empowering. Maybe a larger hitbox or something like that and an animation or indication together with some sound or effect would help! But congratulation on the publishing!
Without upgrades there is only one dive possible before running out of time. So I grabbed the most I could carry. I liked the different things that have different weights and stuff. I liked the ambient sound. Congratulations in publishing a game!
As a non-US resident I learned something about the currency. Thank you for creating this game.
@indigowolf : thank you for commenting .. I didn't know if you were the player I played against just now. That made the game 100% nicer. It was just so much fun grabbing the butterfly before you. And it actually felt good as well when the other player grabbed one from me!!!!
@cogcomp : propably that was you that was playing together with me. You got a few butterflies before I did, but I got some ' of yours ' .. ha ha .. This was actually why I made the game. To be able to play together/against others online.. that is so much more fun than playing alone :D :D :D Thank you for playing and the nice comments!
Hi @avhatar . I have opted out of the music since I used the google blob opera program to generate the music. And officially that is considered AI and not particularly composed by myself allthough I moved the sound up-down .. it is technically not composed by myself. But I thank you for your nice words.
@danicoredj : thank you for your words; @nekowei : Thank you so much for these kinds comments; Multiplayer is something I try to do each LD entry in various settings to learn from! And this lovely community is willing to provide necessary feedback! I'm so proud of my fellow developers!
@tanis: completely agree with all your points. Thank you for playing. I've found this game most enjoyable by playing with others. Than there is a 'race' to the butterflies and strategy of who is doing the minigame to spawn more butterflies. Again, thank you for your nice words and good points!
Very early on I saw your progress images on the LD page. Art is great. Audio is on par. But matching the theme is a bit of a stretch to be honest. And I suck at these kind of games so I did not get too far. You commented on this yourself. So maybe make a bit of a leveling up and smoother, gradual learning curve. Because there is lot to enjoy but it is sad when someone rage-quits :D Overall well done!
Well done. I got some old MSX vibes going on. Thank you for making this game!
A little bit too much going on. I had trouble collecting with the keys it was almost luck. The library was not really necessary in my opinion. I like the swimming mechanic and I felt the world below had more charm. Congratulations in publishing a game!
Top notch on the humor! The game is just fine but matching the theme is a bit of a stretch. But good execution overall nonetheless
Well done. At first I had difficulty with the controls, but when I entered full screen I could navigate. The spacebar (select) is a bit tricky as well so I went with the mouse control for aiming at the cards. Sometimes the text overlaps when giving information. Music was descent. I like the characters and the cards. Good job on drawing them! Good vibes overall! Good Job!
Good Game! Love it. But collecting was not really what was needed : You crushed !!! :D .. But you nailed all the other aspects of the entry! Well done
Great fun. I had a joy picking up from the others. Played for longer than I thought I would which is a good sign. As for most of the unity games I needed to play in full screen otherwise the controls get weird. Overall well done and congratulations on publishing a game.
Thank you for making this game. Cool concept! A bit stretched on theme-matching but again thank you for the twist on the mechanic! I love it when simple, yet uniquely mechanics can give joy!
Looks good overall but does fit a different theme better. Nice mechanic though!
Wow this is good! Very polished. It took me 20 seconds to realize I had to match the keys. The only thing that could have made this a better entry was that kind of simple tutorial and maybe a bit of a soundtrack. But I totally understand the huge undertaking it is to make something this good! The mood and gameplay and art are great!
The first levels were great and I thought : what a nice progression.. then on the third or fourth : incredible hard! ... that is such a shame, because I had a good time until I got frustrated by the farmer!
Nice one. Good mood .. ha ha ha ' do not open ' with those eyes i would not dare to open it !!! Job well done
Took a little to find how to rotate to make the house smile ! I kept on seeing the owner throwing me in the trash .. Humor points :D One of the first different takes on the collecting theme! Compliments!
This idea was the first thing I thought of, but I decided to collect something else :D Nice art and mechanic of the cutting and sponge really are nice and made me smile. Unfortunately the game became a little tedious. But then again it might be a good reflection of how it feels to actually collect stamps... ha ha ha .. good job and great execution!
I get an index out of bounds from Godot.
A simple but nice game. Dash gets you into more trouble. This is the type of game where I would need a little more health instead of insta death :D Well done in publishing!
Ha ha .. I was trying to out run everything until I found the way to dig through walls. And I later saw that you mentioned that in text ... Would be beneficial to put that on screen or maybe even a little tutorial. I liked the auto shooter .. or you could have just made the enemies to follow the ' regular ' path and don't cross over the digged parts .. that could/would have given an extra depth of the game without too much code! An other thing what would have given extra dynamic is to make smaller ' quests ' .. first collect 10 things and then GOOD JOB screen to get the next 10 .. but these are just little things. You made a good, solid game! Congratulations.
When I saw your snake-screenshot I HAD to test it since I did a mini-game with the same mechanic. BUT yours is so much better! At one time I thought that I had a bug but then realized it was the head I could use in 3D .. What a great idea and well executed. Hitting a wall gives now different strategy options. Very clever! Thank you for creating and sharing this! Great work!
Great sense of humor. From the start I had a smile on my face and after I did the 27th I tried 10 minutes to walk to the right and try to find the magic key to speed things up .. ha ha ha .. Very, very well done. I like almost everything from the title to the shadow :D :D Well Done!
Nice one, the sound is a bit repetative. I rather was collecting stuff than throwing it away again! But I like the atmosphere you went for !
ha ha ha .. a bit intense for my skills .. but I dig the game and flow ! Job well done!
Nice graphics, but a bit of a stretch on the theme. And I got confused with the controls during 'using' and navigating. But I'm bad at these multi-input games. I rather use one kind : mouse OR keyboard not the AND :D
I just love these kinds of games. But the timer is way too harsh. There could be two modes : 1 without a timer and you score more points how fast you collect them and 2nd mode where you have the timer. You can also make the timer increase when you succeed. I had a level (i guess random) to find 5 marbles. A bit harsh and it was after almost 2 minutes of satisfying collecting. The idea that it is random is that you sometimes have to find 1 match and sometimes 3 etc... But again, I like these kinds of games. Well done and congratulations on publishig a game.
Unfortunately with firefox the mouse was too quick to actually really play the game. I love it that you made a colorblind option! Not all people keep that in mind while creating art. To think about it I'm a bit shamed myself that I didn't think about this in the latest entry myself! Good Job and thank you for your work!
Collecting the friends was cool. I played this far longer than I had anticipated. It was kind of nice to guide my friends to the correct strategic spot. Well done!
I love the falling of the house!!! Very nice effect! and cool idea and good execution. Ow I liked grabbing those money
Well done publishing an entry. I couldn't find a way to turn the sound on so I did not hear anything. But you have audio rating enabled. Maybe it is my computer. I'm on linux running firefox.
Very good game! Excellent! The in-ldja.com-run didn't work. But runing the itch.io page did work. Cool mechanic and good design. Very well made and you prove that with simple graphics and a great little audio with lots of mechanic idea's you can make a really enjoyable experience! My compliments!
as it stand it is a nice game but I didn't quite dig the theme-implementation. It took me some time (and I read now from others) to get the drag. The mood and atmosphere are well done!
This looks lovely. Unfortunately I do not seem to get the stacking to work. The items from 1 to 6 aren't disappearing from the left. I have only the Circle things to control. The ! and the navigational circle arrows in the game. I had to skip a lot since there was no more space on items 1 to 6.
That is something different. I am more of a mechanic kind of gamer and I don't like text so much but I liked the idea of the pixel mechanic! Well done!
Ha Ha I remember being better in school than this!!! The best points were made from far far way using the wall as a bouncing off point! When I tried the angle and it appeared to be in it overshoot or bounced away. Good entry! I love the cluttered room and messing with all the furniture!
Ì like the handdrawn character. I had a bit trouble timing the jump but managed sometimes. Good entry.
Ah this was really nice. I do not know if it was meant that in the middle of the game everything was gone and I had to use the signal to find a path .. very nice idea. I love the starting screen with th WASD directly in the face so as to show what controls to use. Also the Mouse introduction. Great game-design! Job well done!
The controls needed some learning. But boy you made an awesome puzzle game. Clever use of the signalling mechanic. Beautiful artwork. Very well made!
Yeah TOO SHORT; What a trip. Good entry on those signals from the world.
Ha Ha .. Are you sure you made the art and didn't get help?! You are aware that this is a COMPO entry :D This one : NO .. so cute ! I love it. Say hi to them from a grandpa myself!
The digging is quite intersting mechanism to beat enemies. I like that idea! Lovely entry.
Thank you. I have now conceived a real RSI injury .. ha ha .. just kidding. Like the art style and the effects. Well done!
Good strategy game. It took me a while to figure out the enemy behavior. But well done!
@debugman18 : thank you for playing. You have to wait for others to join, or open another browser and play with two sessions 'together'. Thanks for looking at the game and commenting. @richjbaron : Multiplayer is still working and I just now finished a session with a remote player, not sure who it was. Thank you for playing and commenting! @timo5034 : I'm not sure if you were experiencing troubles, but the point is that you push the character that is similar to your own to the 'black'=hole character. That makes the path and 'completes' the level once all the characters in the level are gone. Thank you for playing and commenting! @gaudy and @yueyao-wang : definitely! As soon as I had my girlfriend play it it was clear to me; alas the time .. but very good point!!! Thank you both for playing and commenting! @tenthousandfireants : Glad you liked it. Thank you for playing and commenting!
Thank you for playing and commenting @sinemual . Keyboard walk/push is the way to go and click to switch. My girlfriend finished a level with only finger on tablet, but it was tricky for her. So I adviced her to play on computer. Again thank you for your feedback. The feedback is why I do these Jams!.
@domenixius : Propably the issue is that you are outside of europe which can cause lag. I like to make multiplayer games and that gives hardaches but it is worth when it actually works. Thank you for commenting. @timo5034 : Thank you for your nice comments. @stormsword : When there are (in-active) players in the level you can't switch to them. I already have a fix for that off-game. But thank you for the comments! And yeah : server had crashed! It is up again, and now I have to figure out what was causing that! @dzejpi : Glad you played earlier because indeed the server crashed. My compliments on given the screenshot that helps! (Although I had the same :D) At least I should have made a screen to indicate that the server is down. That is going to be on the list of things to fix. Everyone: Thank you for all the feedback; hopefully I get them fixed in the engine by next LD :D
@juyr , @frowsyfrog , @pres2300 : thank you all for playing and commenting. When you can move in the game you are in multiplayer. If there is no one logged in you are alone in the world. @pres2300 : I tried to design the levels so that you always have a # where you can get to as a player but not with a character. Maybe if you put more characters in a square that you can get the situation what you are mentioning, but I cannot deduce that from your sentence. The third level with the numbers '4' in them might be another situation.
@whateverdat : thanks for playing and doing the in-depth feedback. All good points and some nice comments.; The lack of tutorial was clear when first comments came in and I thought I would start with a small level, but I needed some more than pointing arrow. The feedback is the main reason for me to join jams. Again, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!
@avhatar : thank you for playing and leaving a comment. There is no SOLO .. everything is multiplayer so there were propably no other players. Can you still remember a little bit of where you were stuck; I tried to design the levels so you cannot be left in a stuck-position.
@marudziik : Thank you very much for this incredible bug report. This helps a lot! Normal work is resumed but next weekend I will definitely investigate these detailed steps.
@kit-gorn : thank you for playing commenting and the nice words.
@steveofstevesgames : Thank you for playing and commenting. Yeah that is because of the multiplayer aspect. The 'level' will always reset when nobody is in the level anymore. If there are connections in the level it is not reset. When there are issues and the level can't be completed the exiting level situation will reset it so that it can be completed. I already am thinking of a mode/switch on the hud to allow players to have a single player experience and then there are way more options to be added on.
@f1krazy : thank you for taking the time to give me feedback.
Ha HA nice audio voices. Music is good. Graphics funny. Good little entry; but it could finish the farm quicker for round 1 :D Well done.
WOW ! That is very good entry. Music, Effects and especially the graphics (that snowman :D) Too bad that the drone cannot fly across waters as I could see the area of control and should be able to reach. You can be very proud. This is a solid good entry (best for about 20 entries I played!) Hope you do well!
Nice one. But kind of wished it started slower :D .. Good Job!
I could not figure out what the working pattern is. sorry
Yeah! Now it is working and I got the patterns! Thank you for the hotfix.
Great job. Good atmosphere, great visuals. And a slow ramp up on difficulty. A job well done!
Graphics are great. Music solid. Effects cool. But I'm terrible at these kinds of games. But the entry looks solid! Well done.
That is a lovely designed game. Well made. The music is stunning. Controls are smooth and fun. Excellent work!
Unfortunate time runs out too fast or the level is too big. I managed to get the red light but had no time anymore. Atmosphere, graphics are nice. Audio could use some more love. Hopefully others are managing their time better or can handle the largish area.
i love the art style. The sound when near the tower is great. I would like to have an in game control schema. When I reached the tower I've got it, but not at the start of the game. Sweet animation and I like the overal design. Good job!
geesh that was hard .. could use some indicators on how far I move when pressing 6 times D and then the space .. Nice music and atmosphere. Good job.
AHHH ! Now I see. I just noticed you put on a little screen shot with the duration. That could have in the game as a guidance. This is better now. Well done :D
Nice tadada sound and graphics. How cute them critters are and don't forget the eggs. But what are they doing on the road .. ha ha ha; well done.
Keep finding the same button .. ha ha .. I liked that you had arrows but it still didn't help me enough. Solid entry. Hopefully someone else is finding all them signals.
I tried to play it on the ldpage but it was way too small and itch: "We couldn't find your page Go to Games by RJB's page"
Ha Ha .. we make our own music! I could have used the output for my game :D :D :D Well done!
Sorry, I have no idea what the guy is signaling about. Had fun throwing stuff around but in the end a collision was made; well if you have a broken walkie talkie it is a bit of a problem. I like the graphics and humor.
HaHa BEEgin .. nice signal communication to the player :D Good entry.
Ha ha that twirling of the wolf! Good solid entry.
As an ethical hacker I approve this! :D Nice WIFI - hacking; good job
I almost feel like a scientist. Nice entry.
Destructiongalore. But after a while the game really gets too glitchy (propaby due to the number of destructable boxes) .. Nice entry thouh.
The music you generate when 'eating' the coins is really satisfying. That is a GOOD SIGNAL as far as i'm concerned :D . Nice!
That took some clicking. But it was satisfying as they nearly hit eachother. nice little entry.
Nice Idea. A bit too fast for my liking I managed the first level but got stuck on the second one. Maybe better on a tablet?!? Graphics and sound are good!
What an excellent entry. It took me a while, got stuck somewhere with a V shape. How surprisingly simple but elegant and smoothing. I needed that chill and relaxing moment after a packed jam-weekend. Thank you for making this! The sound will be with me for today ... beep ... beep ... beep.
I am with tolviere : I wish it was a bit longer. I enyod myself figuring out the signals and the hidden elements that you need to unravel. Good start for a nice puzzler when you add some more levels. Well done!
Got stuck on the second level. The music was excellent and the between screens are nice. Indeed inside LD it isn't working but the website was. Great job!
That is a great entry. Good atmosphere and nice graphics and animations. Love it!
Nice simple entry. At first I thought it was a tower defense - overhead - game, you twisted my mind and I was surprised in a good way! Well done.
Rotating clicking rotating ; boy level 2 is hard immediately. Graphics look cool!
Excellent little game. I wish I could earn more time when gold collection! Good music and graphics. Very good entry.
EXCELLENT GAME . I am left with a black screen with the text 'Great! Click any block to Next' but there is no block! I'm a sucker for puzzle games and this got me excited. Thank you for making this. Somewhat in the middle was the hardest but after I beat that one the later versions where kind of easier. Very well made game, you can be proud!
