Nice first Entry! You've got a game with a score and a high score (which I tend to forget). I went until 147 but got bored because it does not seem to increase in difficulty across time.
I find the concept of seeing less and less nice, it would be even better if the trail were above the new elements ( e.g. draw a black trail on a white image and use it as a mask to know if you should write the pixel ). You could then clean this mask with the wipe or even have it drips.

Well done on your first entry. Took me a little to figure out that I could move past the trailing effect. And the snowflakes aren't harmfull. But I enjoyed the itch version. embed didn't work for me
Very nice little game! Difficulty increasing over time would make it playable for longer.
Fun to play, although lacking a bit in ramping up the difficulty.

Yeah I wanted to ramp up the difficulty by having the whip blade come less and less often. I should have made snowflakes and obstacles more often with time. The idea came too late
I really like this take on the theme! Really neat seeing the concept of windshield visibility applied to 2D. Also I was able to embed my PICO-8 game fine on the Ludum Dare website so I don't think it should have any issues with blacklisted calls. You may have put your html file inside a folder inside the zip which would keep the site from finding it. The html file needs to be at the root of the zip file and not inside a nested folder.
The embedded version here doesn't work, fortunately the one in itch.io works so I played there. The idea is good and I can understand what to do, too bad I'm not so sure on what caused my crash.

Neat game, simple concept, I like turning "I forgot to clear the back buffer" into a game mechanic ^_^. I got to 256 before I decided I was never going to find my way home (got bored). It would have been nice if the difficulty ramped up. I like the feeling of relief when the wiper finally wipes =).

@jimbly Yes I forgot to ramp up the difficulty . And now post jam I have a lot of ideas but I will wait for after the votes are closed.
I was going for some kind of "relief every 10secs" end when I saw the `cls()` function in PICO-8 I knew what it was.

Very nice and simple idea for a game! Short and sweet. I will admit I didn't read the description and jumped straight into the game and first and my first thought was "woah cool and trippy graphics", I dodged cars and wondered what was going on for a bit. Eventually I hit a car and read the description and I had an "oohhhhh" moment when you said you're driving through the snow and those snowflakes are snow building up on your windshield. Great jam entry!
this was really enjoyable. simple but enjoyable. the graphics were really delightful

Congrats on the first submission :)
I really like the effect of the wipe. Initially I thought it was a bug. I like how you turn the programming feature of a platform into an actual game feature :). I wish the difficulty ramp up a bit more towards the end. I got bored so I decided to end it.
Thanks for the game.
The screen wipe is an original idea and graphically effective, congrats on that. Pity the game is not really challenging.
I think it may be impossible to make a game in pico 8 that I don't kind of like, I just love the aesthetic. simple gameplay concept but kind of charming and fun and a nice take on the theme. I was confused that my car couldn't go up or down just left/right and also it took me a while to realize i can go through the flakes. On the downside I feel like the difficulty is a bit low and it needs to ramp up a bit, just increase speed a little every 10s would do it. Next time please add some sweet pico 8 chip tune soundtrack :). Welcome to the strangely addictive world of game jams, definitely a good start.
Cool concept! One of the more creative games I have been playing this year :D
This is a really creative interpretation. It could be made for a more better game than this. An endless runner it's not really the best genre for that.
