game is really cool, reminds me of oregon trail or something, if it had more events and like, if you could actually get out of the car and walk around and shoot zombies, and a little more polish, little better graphics, more events, actual goal you are driving to get to, little bit of dialogue little cutscene thingys, could totally be a legit full game you could sell on steam or something, like month of work or something

The status updates where the story goes is a nice touch. Didn't get the vibe of how it is related to the theme. At first I thought the spacebar was for stopping the car but I guess it is story driven. Did not encounter much else than some passengers (one of them was bit but apparently the medkit does wonders to zombies) So yeah I enjoyed the little story. The graphics and rest is solid. Good job.
If your car's ever broken, just keep changing tires until it works okay! This is quite good, I really liked the feeling if playing it. If there was a way to drop items out of the car, I didn't figure it out, and this had the odd effect of making me unable to do anything other than keep driving when my inventory was full of items I couldn't use.
I love the "vehicle" theme you guys have been running with the last 3 Jams. The game is pretty nice to look at. The mechanics are a little confusing though. I'm looking forward to beating this game!

Really fun and solid game. I like the theme implementation. Well done!

The atmosphere is great, although I'd like the pacing to be a bit faster at start, or maybe some just visual treats in the forest when just driving, even if repeated. Otherwise it's a a wonderful little experience, though I do agree with previous comments that it's hard to figure out items at times. Lovely graphics and fitting sound to it! Great work overall! ^^
Your inventory/group appearing in your car was a really nice touch. Fairly simple systems but that made for a solid game that captures the right mix of oregon trail and zombie survival. Nicely done!

The concept and the atmosphere are very cool. It reminds me a game I liked, Overland, go check it.
This game was really cool. I loved the art/general vibe. I could definitely see myself playing a larger version of this. I wish there was more decision making needed because it felt like taking everything was always the play. The inventory system as cool and fit the theme well.
This game looked great! But I couldn't find a way to do anything other than just get the car to drive by hitting the space bar. I used the mouse and pressed every single button on the keyboard and space was the only thing that did anything.
Nice visuals and UI. Definitely could see an Oregon trail type game coming out of this. It needs some more events and ways to engage the player. As it stands right now the game play is a little slow but it's a good jumping off point. Good Job!
Thank you all for the feedback! There was more we wanted to add, but as most jams go, ran out of time.
@Draekdude Some players were reporting issues playing the game in fullscreen glitching. You should be able to click on items on the ground as well as items in your car's inventory.
This was a nifty submission for the game jam! Felt like a mix of Oregano trail and the walking dead
OK, I ran it in window mode, also had to be sure not to make it too big and I could click on stuff! This game was great! I could definitely see adding a few more mechanics, like ammo, shooting and like others said totally reminded me of Oregon Trail. Well done!
Great atmosphere, graphics and mood. As someone else said, I think it could be nice if you could have a choice of dropping e.g. one item per day out of the car - I accidentally ended up in a loop where my inventory was full of medicine and antidote; and my survivors weren't ever damaged or bitten past that point so I could do nothing except keep driving and wait for my car to die. Still, that's just a minor thing, I did enjoy playing - oh yes, and the music fits really well with the whole 'dark forest road' atmosphere!

This game was pretty stylish. I liked the way you split up each encounter with a driving section. I think the driving was a little too long though, unless you were to add something interactive to do during the wait. Some of the items like the gun could be a little bigger or easier to see. I thought it was a little zombie on the ground! A sound effect for the car getting damaged would be nice.
Thanks for uploading your work!

Kinda like zombie Oregon Trail! It took me a little to figure out how to play, but I got it after a while. I started using my guys more as resources-- some must die so the group can live on. It was a little tough to realize that when I clicked on stuff to loot it had consequences for my survivors, but it's a game jam and it's tough to get details in. The look and atmosphere were pretty good! I enjoyed it!

Really cool game, looks great. I wish there would be a way to drop items thought (maybe I missed it)

Overland meets Oregon Trail! Nice graphics and atmosphere, and a great concept. It took several plays to get the hang of it, but by then I felt like I knew what to do to survive... at least for a little while!
Very scary and beautiful game. At a point I managed to pick up too many antidotes and could only pick up one more item. Fortunately some of the survivors got bitten so I could ditch those and survived. I wish there was a way to drop items, but that would make the limited space less impactful.
Pretty interesting concept, good graphics and gameplay but it took some time to figure out what each item did, either way I really like these zombie post-apocalyptic types of games and this was no exception. Good job

I picked up on the Oregon Trail mechanisms pretty quick, but I appreciated the point-and-click aspect of each encounter as well. I ended up dying pretty quickly, presumably due to poor luck on getting antidotes after being infected. I thought the polish and audio was great, especially in the Mood category. This was a great Jam submission!

Great concept and super polished visuals elevate this to appear better and more polished than a weekend project. The main issues I faced are A) Lack of visual feedback on what was happening B) Confusing how priority is decided on who gets out of the car and performs actions C) Inability to manage certain aspects of the inventory (drop items, equip specific party members with weapons for example). Also had a run where I ran into three zombie hordes in a row with no ways to repair - which meant I had no control over my loss.
This is really, really well done for a jam. Looks, sounds and plays great. As others have also mentioned, having a way to drop items would be very helpful. I would also suggest reducing the driving time a bit. Otherwise, great entry that you could definitely make into a full game.

This is really cool! I didn't realize at first that I couldn't drop items, but that created kind-of an interesting conundrum. I looted too many antidotes, and so I actually started hoping my passengers would get infected so I could free up some inventory space, haha. I like the seamless road encounters and the presentation of the whole thing.

Great game, pretty addictive too. And do really need to manage the space in your car, getting too many resources of similar types can be as dangerous as not getting enough.
A very good zombie survivor. Good graphics and sound. You need to do something about random. I didn't see any passengers for several races.

Fun little game with a great concept and visuals. I felt like the polish was there, and the overall presentation was really nice but I was a little confused at some of the underlying design though, like having a gun as an item to pick up that you can't use offensively, but it actually helps give your characters health? I think maybe having some kind of "armor" in place of a gun would have been more logical. I also think that the intro instructions were a bit much all at once. I think I would have preferred if they were slowly introduced as you played for a more organic introductory experience. I also felt like the music was a little stop-and-go... like the first music you hear is only like a 10 second loop that repeats right as it gets going.
Of course, I'm searching for things to critique here though because this was done over the course of a weekend and with that context, the game is awesome. I would totally play a full version of this and I have faith that the team would make a killer version of it. Great job!
Good game! Gameplay is fun, but too much random. Great core idea with inventory. Good graphics, and music. Well done!

I really enjoyed the game; it's quite simple but has its unique twist. The gameplay is quite original, in my opinion. Keep it up. I won't mention all the shortcomings and bugs in the game as they have been described above
Nice game which fits the theme great. I found it a bit too easy to make it through the 30 days, but that may have just been luck with the encounters. Oregon Trail was mentioned often in the comments, which is true, though Organ Trail would be a better comparision as it even has the zombies :D
