Great game! I couldn't submit a completed task at times though.
Great game! Box select is janky.
This game is too good to be made in a compo, or even a team in the jam. I have high hopes for the ranking.
Great game! Was a little confused at the beginning though. A tutorial would have been nice.
Great game! Could have used a better tutorial though. I was pretty confused.
Nice game, Would have LOVED music though
Looks cool but got the message: Fatal error when I pressed start.
This game is honestly great. I played this for way longer than I thought I would.
Good game but its annoying that it COMPLETELY restarts. even the dialogue. idk if that's a feature but it is kinda annoying.
I loved playing this game! The graphics are great and gameplay is fun.
Great graphics, music, sound, etc. The gameplay was a little repetitive though. Over all it was great!
Bug Report: When I was playing, it randomly closed out of the level. I was in level 4 and it happened a second or two after I stopped drifting
I liked the game but it seems like a stress game but nothing happens when you miss a task and there are too many to try to do them all so I cant try to keep up any streak.
Good graphics, Good Gameplay, good progression. I still dont understand what levels do though or how to use upgrades.
@tom-kun could you elaborate? We experienced no issues in playtesting. It would help if you could tell us how they are not following your movements.
.
@sean-holloway The web build doesn't seem to be working for anyone. We have looked into it but have yet to find the problem. Thanks for letting us know.
@wolfier That last level isn't meant to be beaten. It's possible, but it was only beaten once and it took >45 minutes
@fupi Yeah sorry. It can get kind of laggy at some points due to some of the graphics.
@javasaurus Again, thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize how hard the levels could be until streamers played them. We'll fix the webGL.
@javasaurus @oneiromancer WebGL version is out.
@omiya-games thanks for the feedback! The level order is screwed up. It is something we will fix if we ever do anything post jam. 2-6 is the last level and is not really meant to be beaten. It takes lots of time to beat so much so that I have only completed it once and that was after we submitted. As for the controls, yeah, they kinda suck. That is the worst complaint of our game. The jump height was already raised and it almost broke some levels so we stopped raising it. Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a review!
I agree with wolfier
Fun game, wish you could turn though. I love the main menu and the sound track especially.
@tlatitude Thanks for making us aware. It seems to be a problem in chrome. You can play it here https://ciber-turtle.itch.io/undying-torch
@amac thanks! The lamp levels were... rushed, to say the least. Hope it was fun in the end.
@fiat-ventus sorry about that! The lamp levels were rushed and didn't get play tested. There are some debug options to light your torch or go back to the last campfire just in case, though we didn't make that evident.
Very fun game, got me a number of times. Didn't quite make it to the final night...
Not sure where to see the score, and I felt I was getting negative more than positive, but neat game.
The idea of the warp bubble is cool, though I felt like it didn't have all that much effect. This fits creatively into the theme. I also noticed the movement felt smooth and well polished.
This was a great game! At first I thought I had it down, just spam shoot and go forward... then I got to level 5... This was an incredibly fun arcade game. I'm definitely saving this one. Edit: I really apricate that it saves your progress. I think there is a bit too much rng. This is a jam game so obviously its not going to be perfect, but sometimes the levels felt impossible, like this screnshot I got in level 8.astroid.png
This was a cool submission. It fits the theme well. I really like games like this. there were definitively a few bugs, but nothing too major. I wish it was more clear how to play, and sometimes it feels like you can't do too much to save yourself, but cool game overall.
This was a cool game with a cool mechanic. I got obliterated. I wish the window was a bit bigger. I understand that is a main mechanic but its just a bit hard to see anything (or maybe my eyes are just bad lol)
I really liked this game. I'm not usually much for spatial reasoning, but this one felt good to play. I wish there was a restart button, but that's a small thing.
I really liked the gravity of this game. I wish it was more clear which planets were anti-gravity and which weren't. Cool game overall.
Cool game! I was a bit disoriented at times, and the fishbowl sometimes felt empty, but the overall experience was good. I loved the sharks, and more specifically punching them.
@fedeolive congrats on the win! Thanks for playing it all the way through.
@vulkaara yeah that is definitely an issue with this version of the game. Thanks for playing!
@yogurtthehorse this is a bug we have not encountered before. What are you playing on?
@yogurtthehorse if I may ask, could you send a screenshot so we could get a better idea of what might be happening?
@yogurtthehorse Thanks for the video, the programmer on the team says its a race condition relating to performance that is causing the issues.
@ayced yeah, there is a bug in the code that makes it so that sometimes on lower performance computers the starting gold doesn’t appear. If you restart once or twice more it should come back, should you decide to return to the game.
@greenphox yeah this is a major issue with the game in its current state. Sorry about that!
@akulove thanks for playing! I have a bad habit of making hard last levels…
@dan-m thanks for playing! The loss of starting gold is a known big, but not being able to advance to the next day is not. Is it possible you had a building selected?
@ryjcio thanks!
This was a cool concept. I felt like it was a bit too easy to just build a relatively flat path to the end, though.
Alright I came back to the game after you said there were obstacles. Yeah, they should have been in there round two or three. I really like the win/fail screens. I think that the platforming could have been a bit less mobile so that there was more strategy to placing blocks, and speeding up the game to it doesn't take 20 rounds to feel rushed. Overall definitely a good game. I might play again at higher difficulty later.
This is a cool game. The movement is not like anything I've really seen before. The graphics are great, and the music provides some nice ambiance. I think the small inventory, while fitting the theme, was more annoying than anything. It does definitely provide some cool gameplay, but it feels a bit monotonous to travel to pick up things I already found. Cool adventure game overall!
Music is great, jam version is way too easy but it seems you fixed that in post jam. I really enjoyed this one.
Really smooth/polished game. This was very satisfying to play. The sound was good, fitting, and complete. I felt like the gun was underpowered and less satisfying to use than the ram, and I would have appreciated something like a simple wheel animation. Great game overall, 5/5
This is a cool concept and a nice play on the theme, with both space and inventory. The tutorial didn't really tell me what anything was so I was a bit confused. I felt there were long periods of time of doing nothing, and it was a bit buggy sometimes with turrets not shooting things in range. Overall its a near game, I love the art, and I'd love to play a 1.1 version more.
I really liked this game. I enjoyed the multiple endings.
This was the best submission I have played so far. The platforming is smooth, the graphics are next level, and the mechanics are cool. My thumb is sore from spamming jump so much lol. Feels/looks very celestey and I love it.
The music fits really well. I like the difficult but learnable movement. Feels great to play.
This game was really cool. I loved the art/general vibe. I could definitely see myself playing a larger version of this. I wish there was more decision making needed because it felt like taking everything was always the play. The inventory system as cool and fit the theme well.
Cool game. I liked the ending, and the atmosphere was definitely on point.
Windows build doesn't seem to work, or maybe my machine is not set up correctly for the game.
I played the browser version. The game seems to be a pretty good visual novel. The one criticism I have is that the art could have been generated more cohesively, sometimes the style felt a bit inconsistent. Other than that cool game with good ambiance.
Really cool game. I think at certain points the puzzles could focus less on platforming (unless thats what you are going for). I wish there were more levels, but what are you going to do, its a weekend long jam. Cool mechanic, cool concept, nice graphics.
The visuals for this game were on point! The game definitely had a lot of polish to it.
We live
We love
We lie
Windows build works fine. I wish you could see what sent you where, and the game could have used more content in general. Best character in jam tho
Cool game, I like the art. The original voice acting was a nice touch. I apricate the fact that it has different endings.
Cool game. It seemed like at a certain point all you can do is wait because there is no way to fit anything. Other than tat very fun.
