I really liked the first painting, I would love enjoy a longer and harder version of it ! I'm a fan of the ambiance, the infinitely long corridor with the nice camera effects gives the game a nice mood to it!

@gorglomux Hey thanks for your comment, we'll probably work on a full game version of the first frame in the future! Have a great night <3
I think the visuals of the museum is great. The platformer physics definitely could have been more refined but it was a good game overall. Also, I got stuck here.stuck.png
neat game, I like the idea of having different minigames
@happygamer500 Thanks for your feedback! One of my friends also got stuck here lmaoo, we hadn't encountered that problem when beta testing XD we should've done more testing! Have a great night <3
@mmason Thank you! Have a great night <3
love the theme
that's a really cool concept!
The museum overworld is really well done and stylish. I loved the first minigame where you had to survive for 40 seconds. The second platforming minigame I did not enjoy as much to be honest, but great game overall!
@riesyeti Haha yeah we kinda messed up the platformer controller, but I hope that you could finish the game anyways and enjoy the other minigames! Have a great day <3
@anatol-dumitras Thank you ryan gosling, this is an honor <3
I'll echo what many others are saying and say the first minigame was fun and the platforming bits while functional just felt slightly off. Really cool atmosphere and look to the game. The eerie ambiance was a great touch.
On the technical side, I did occasionally have some pretty major frame issues on my hardware in the museum portion.
@braktheman Thank your for your feedback! Very interesting that you had frame issues in the museum, do you mind sharing your hardware details with me so we can figure out what is causing the problem?
@teashna I actually went back and tried it at a different resolution and as soon as I changed it from 3840 x 2160 to 1920x1080 it ran normal as intended. I still managed to make it through the game originally even with the issues but they were very noticeable.
The atmosphere is crazy, oppressive as it should be, the nuance museum / asylum is well brought. In terms of gameplay, the ambiance of the levels is great, but as far as platformers go, I'm not a big fan of Unity's default friction; I prefer to deactivate it to avoid getting stuck against the platforms! But otherwise I like the concept!
This game is awesome! I really like the mood you set and the minigames were fun. Nice job!
@nick-baggett Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@pierre-marie I'm glad you liked the museum asylum twist, and thank you for your insight for the platformer! I guess next time we might just code our own friction cuz, you're right, Unity's is really not helping when it comes to platformers
Have a great day <3
@braktheman thank you for the resolution tip, i was wondering why the game ran normally in the editor but ran like hell on the builds, i'll get that fixed soonish of tell someone to fix it for me
and @pierre-marie thank you so much for your feedback, you may not know it, but you just proved a stubborn developer right about how annoying the "sticking on walls" was, and ill get to screaming at @teashna right now <3
love you both and have a good one out there, and thanks again for the feedback it means a lot to us ;)
@teashna I don't know if you need it, but you can set a Physic Material on the Colliders of your scene, with friction at 0 and the problem is solved (I've encountered the problem xD). (https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/class-PhysicMaterial.html)
@pierre-marie oh don't worry he KNOWS, I TOLD HIM MULTIPLE TIMES, but he was "eerrrmmmm akchualley, it's better if we just stick to the walls" so he made me remove it (for his defence, i had it set so we would slightly bounce off of the wall and he didn't like it wich is understandable) anyways, you're proving my intellectual superiority once again and I very much appreciate it, take care <3
@pierre-marie Oh i know that it's just that the way our teammate coded the movement we would have had to redo all of it and we didn't have time for that :/ Thanks anyway <3
Loved the game overall and the individual games. The creepy atmosphere really added to the game.
@oller125 Thank you! Have a great day! <3
love the concept, I'm very glad somebody ended up making a game with other minigames inside of it (we were thinking about it but scrapped the idea)
the atmosphere of the museum is nice, and the level where you have to avoid the cubes you're automatically shooting is super fun
I will echo the yellow rectangle feeling a bit too sticky - I also got stuck on the level where you have to kick boxes into a goal. I kept trying to make the jump but it's not quite possible - upon restart I realized you start there and it's not possible to get back up MuseumAsylum_9XsqKDHv87.jpg
I got stuck on the 3rd game, it says you win but nothing happens and then I press escape and it reset  . Would have loved to see the ending if it has one. Nice submission though. Only thing that annoyed me a bit was that I found the mechanics kind of clunky on the 2nd and 3rd game, should reduce the acceleration quite a bit and increase the friction imo.
@bobbie Thanks for your feedback! We totally overlooked the fact that people might not get the box instantly, that's a level design flaw :/ Our bad lmao
@devez :C I'm sad to hear, this shouldn't have happened and I am confused as to why it did. Would you mind sharing exactly what happened so that we may understand what occurred. I hope you could reach the Asylum anyway. <3
I really like the atmosphere of the game. The sound and visuals perfectly support the idea. You've done a great job!
This was an interesting game. I really liked the atmosphere, it was genuinely unnerving at points, but I felt like some more audio would have gone a long way.
Visually the game is pretty great as well. No real complaints there.
The 1st painting had an awesome "oh shit" moment for me when I found out I was making my own challenge. The 2nd and 3rd paintings were kinda dull though. The platforming was really uncooperative. There was too much acceleration, especially in the air, and there wasn't enough deceleration. The player was also sticking to walls like Spider-Man, for some reason.
I kinda had no idea what was happening throughout the 4th painting. It's muffin time threw me off hard. I guess I just wasn't expecting a line like that in a game like this.
And the asylum, while visually great, I think could've used an end point. Unless there was one but I waited around for a while and nothing happened.
I think if the platforming was fixed, and you throw in a bit more audio, this game would be a lot better. Overall though, it was a memorable experience at least.
@pcho Thanks a lot! @real-flamingicecubegames Thank you for you constructive review! I hear everything you say and for that reason, I have to ask a question: Do you know if it still is possible to upload a build to the jam's site (I am not the one in charge of the game's upload). Because now I'm tempted to fix level design problems and physics issues, add more audio and rework the second and third frames.
Also I know that the fourth one is confusing but I think it's important that it remains that way for the whole unnerving and asylum mood of the game.
@teashna It seems like you can still upload a build, but I don't know if that breaks the rules or not. The rules section says that certain bug fixes are allowed, but must be highlighted in a changelog. Changing level designs and controls might be breaking those rules.
@real-flamingicecubegames Thank you <3
Very cool concept! Also I really like the general aesthetic/mood and the simplicity of transmitting it!
Hey @fosf0 thank you for your feedback, it's always very much appreciated :)
you really got the mood there and nice concept, the control is a little bit janky though lol but overall! nice job! I wonder what makes you guys put in these unrelated-at-first-glance pieces together;)
@foursay thank you for the comment, from what i've seen, the platformer controls are the part getting the most criticism, and we should've dedicated more time to polish it further, but it's a little bit too late now sadly, so i guess there's always next time. as for what made us put these pieces together, the answer is midnight pizza, a questionable sleep schedule and a comically short brainstorm ;)
anyways, have a good one, and thanks again for the feedback it's really important to us
@foursay @ps1hagrid Hagrid came over to my house at midnight, we had pizza and were like "YOO THE THEME DROPPED" Then we thought this theme was terrible because we really wanted some other ones. And I don’t really know what happened but a minute later we had the game all fleshed out lmaoo
I love the mood of your game, and I actually do love this physical system and the control. This somehow "not so realistic" physical system reminds me of dreams. Well, I think it actually tells players that this is a fantasy, it is undoubtedly unreal. Therefore, full mark for mood. :)
@loka thank you for your review, i honestly didn't think someone would actually like the physics/controls, and sadly for you these will be changed, the entire team including me is also not happy about how it felt so i can assure you it will be changed/reworked entirely. in any case, thank you so much for your comment <3
@loka AKSHULLY, THIS IS NOT UNREAL IT’S UNITY. jk
Thank you for your feedback, I’m rather surprised by your take on the controller but it’s nice to hear you liked it (we don’t haha)!
Have a great day <3
@loka I'm the one who coded the 2D controller so THANKS!
getting kind of an ominous feeling from this game, a bit of horror elements, the arcade elements are great, i love the gameplay and the aesthetics, great work!
hey @alanushke thanks for the comment, we worked really hard on the graphics (no we didn't lol) and on the horror (it kinda just tagged along), but yknow what i'm glad you liked it and that's all that matters, so have a good day :)
Atmospheric.
@fatemperor thank
@fatemperor No.
The link says "HTML5 (web)", but I could only find a link to a Windows-only version (which I can't run on my computer). Am I missing something here? Thanks!
@ace17 Idk why my teammate labelled that as html 5, it's simply the itch page :/ Sorry about that, have a great night <3
Think I got to the end? Pretty neat, loved the variety.
Nice!
The platformer physics are frustrating. I felt like I'm drunk. Then, infortunately, I found out there are more levels. And then I got stuck on those dots. I couldn't take it.
@logicon211 Thanks for your review! @nicolasjl9 Thx! @iron-head understandable have a great day
Really liked the atmosphere in the 3d world - why did you opt out of graphics? The first minigame was cool, took me a little bit to have that aha moment that enemies weren't going to spawn - I was simply meant to avoid my own bullets. I didn't like the platforming minigames as much as they felt too simple.
@chybby Thanks for your review! We simply opt out of the graphics category because we used assets from Internet (like the frames in the Museum)!
It is an interesting concept. I kind of enjoyed the mini games.
**My feedback**: I am a little bit confused - it's called *Museum* here but if you called it *Museum Asylum* (as the game files state) - this would have made a greater impression (to me the least). It is a *strange* museum for sure.. adding the insanity element makes it... more fitting maybe. Note: calling it *Asylum* also makes it more fitting to the theme!!
I was confused with the purpose of the game; the reason for the games being *these games* was not entirely clear to me.
Apart from that I like the trippy tune, had no issue with the mechanics of the games themselves. Next time.. maybe add some *even short* narrative? Like to add to the mystery and the whole reasoning for these? **One idea/tip**: have you played Rusty Lake games (Cube Escape?). Try them if not. **Imagine**: the end of EVERY mini-game reveals a piece "of a puzzle". Lost words (in the memory of the protagonist - for one). Or a part of a "key". Or a mysterious element. : ) How does that sound? Now immediately players *have a goal* which is also of some mystery!
@aweskybear Hey! Thanks for your rewiew! The twist was that the name of the game changes when you're in the Asylym (try pressing ESC once you have finished the visual novel minigame)
Your idea about the games revealing narrative elements after completion was our starting point but we didn't have the time to implement it!
Cool cool, @poroli : ))
Ok, I get that time is little. But still -> adding even a *small* thing to make the mini-games' endings more purposeful (and adding to the overall feeling of mystery) is a big win! That could be as simple as even a filled blank in a *sentence with blanks* visible somewhere to the player : ))
GL!
