LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Rock Bottom by Josh6680 2021-04-30T05:41:58Z

This game was okay. I like the controls (although I think being able to control jump height would add a lot to how the game controls) and the combat, while simple, was fun. The only problems I had were there being no variety in enemies and the game's length. Other than those issues I think there is a solid foundation here.

DieAblo by Emkani 2021-04-27T16:43:06Z

just like the other commenters here, I can't seem to access the game...

Chess Hellevator by BoxedMeatRevolution 2021-04-27T02:40:25Z

Pretty addicting game. I would play a more fleshed-out version of this. I feel that the only things that need improving are the visuals and maybe the audio. Other than that, I found it really satisfying.

Dungeon Depths by MaximBegunov 2021-04-27T16:42:12Z

Very nice and atmospheric. The sound design was very good at making me feel on edge even on the most simple of platforming challenges. I think it does end kinda abruptly though. And the rope physics can seem a bit too slow at times, other than that, it was great.

Sheltered Deep by ThorPalsson 2021-04-27T16:56:06Z

I think this game is okay. I like the weirdness and genuine creepiness of the environment but the game crashed on me mid way through, and there wasn't a save feature. I would finish this game if the pace wasn't really slow. solid game though.

SLING-MAN AND THE CHASM OF 1000 WORRIES by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-04-28T17:40:02Z

@nardandas yeah I really should have focused on the impact of certain actions more. I also would have liked to add an arrow showing your throw path and strength... all things I can add in an updated version.

SLING-MAN AND THE CHASM OF 1000 WORRIES by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-04-28T17:41:51Z

@namrog84 I agree with you on that. The tutorial was one of the last things I did on the game. I kinda wish I made it where it was in-game instead. something like Binding of Isaac where you see the controls in the background.

TETIS by aeon 2021-04-27T16:47:28Z

Really interesting game here. It was weird to move the long bar like it was a character instead of a block. I feel like the only thing wrong with the game has to be the length. I wanted some more stuff to happen but it just ends.

Crash Falling by SirMilkman 2021-04-27T16:33:17Z

Fast and challenging. Reminds me of Downwell. I could see this being addicting by adding more things to avoid, or powerups, maybe enemies. My only complaint is the lack of audio.

LD49 — Unstable

Fast Flats! by Stending 2021-10-06T17:26:58Z

I enjoyed the time I had with this game. My favorite aspects of it are definitely the graphics and the physics based gameplay. The presentation was very well done.

Black Ice Fracture by masterkrepta 2021-10-20T14:26:43Z

I liked this but I feel like it needs a few changes (I played the jam ver.). For one, I think the player needs to move on a grid as I found myself hitting multiple ice blocks multiple times by simply moving. Also the player shouldn't be able to roll over, especially if there isn't a restart key. Other than that, there is a solid foundation here and you could fix those issues to have a pretty great puzzle game.

Final Slumber by Flatgub 2021-10-09T14:32:31Z

I really wanted to see more of this. Fantastic atmosphere and graphics and a really intriguing setting. I want to know more about what even happened. Also huge props for not having any jump scares. You just let the environment build the tension.

Lost Vault by zimennik 2021-10-07T15:59:37Z

I tried but kept failing. It's a really stressful game (in a good way). I really liked the visuals. Looks really polished for a game jam title. I only wish things were explained better.

Uprooted by Zettelkasten 2021-10-09T15:08:27Z

Amazing presentation. Looks polished as hell.

Roboturai by Be3n2 2021-10-07T15:20:20Z

This was ok, I'm not sure I liked having to mash 'q' to get up after falling. I also feel like the hitboxes on the enemy was way to large. Good base for a game here though.

Destabilize a Reactor by GeroX 2021-10-06T18:09:22Z

Neat little game. I found the trash can humorous. I think if it was longer and had more levels it could be pretty addicting.

Catastrophy by Fis 2021-10-09T14:25:57Z

Concept is fine, however, I found it really difficult to save kittens. I would walk through them and not collect them. The jump also doesn't seem to work all the time. Overall though, its not bad for a game jam title.

No More Stables! by Raphiell 2021-10-14T18:22:22Z

Incredible game for a jam. I have no idea how you got all of that content into the game. Writing was on point as well.

Osaka USA by Moritz Jaeger 2021-10-20T14:03:12Z

I like this a lot. Really reminds me of Crazy Taxi and the like. Brakes and a scoring system would be appreciated, and I also feel like the turning could be better. Other than that, the presentation and the game itself is great.

Fantasy Quest by Zliebowitz 2021-10-09T14:57:13Z

I like how the glitches were made into an actual part of the world. The graphics were quite nice as well. If I could complain about anything, I would've liked a run button. Good humor and interesting world. Overall a decent game for a jam.

Mysterious Mine by TheGamerASD 2021-10-07T21:50:50Z

Interesting game. I really got kinda anxious seeing if there was anything following me. My only problem is the ending is a little weak.

HONK III by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2021-10-07T22:18:46Z

Holy hell what a game, It legitimately reminded me of Doom Eternal at some points. I really liked the large combat sections and the labrynth-like keycard based levels.

Dark Plunge by LBO 2021-10-07T21:56:33Z

My depth was 2210. I really liked this although, I wish you could get additional score by killing enemies as there is really no point in killing them. Overall, one of the most polished games here so far. The visuals were fantastic.

Turnip Boi and the Forest Lost in Time by Codeman1010 2021-10-09T14:39:58Z

Nice work but I have a couple of gripes. Some of the collision on the floor made the player stop moving forwards until I jumped and falling happens way too fast (in my opinion anyways). I liked the visuals and the floating though. Collecting crystals was satisfying also.

Rocketboy by cjce 2021-10-07T16:03:51Z

Pretty fun game. There needs to be a quick restart button though.

Crysterra by Teto 2021-10-20T14:20:41Z

Incredibly well done visuals. Gameplay was great as well, however, I feel like there should have been more challenge or perhaps even resource management. For a game jam though, this is really well done. I kinda want to see an expanded version of this.

Snake Using Windows by Benjamin Halko 2021-10-07T22:01:45Z

This is awesome! I've never seen anything like this. Kinda wish the gameplay was a bit more responsive but the concept is so damn good.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-06T04:40:21Z

@carraka Thank you for the feedback. I REALLY wish I was able to do a bigger ending. Alas, I managed my time poorly and the ending in the game now is the result. I'm glad you found the dialog humorous, especially since that my main focus was the writing. I was worried jokes wouldn't land correctly. Thanks a lot for playing!

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-06T16:18:03Z

@orangutanrider I appreciate the feedback. At some point, I wanted to introduce quests and stuff to do with NPC's but I couldn't find the time to do it.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-07T00:02:42Z

@truewolves Oh damn, really? I might need to patch that in. Thanks for the reminder.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-07T00:03:53Z

@connor-magson I want to make more out of this world as well. I have some ideas for an expanded version although I have no idea how far away that might be. I have a few other projects in the works but we'll see. Thank you for the feedback.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-07T00:54:40Z

@nymnymn I want to return to this world at some point. I don't know how long it will be until that happens though.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-07T01:36:47Z

Hey everyone! This is Logan, the composer for this game. I just wanted to chime in saying that I am shocked and happy to hear that some of you liked the music! It was done in literally a couple of hours. And this style of music isn't my preferred one either, not that I don't like it. But, I would be more than happy to make more music like this if the creator and I decide to continue this! It was a different kind of fun to make, my main influence being the Mother series. Just thought I should drop by and give my thanks! -Logan

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-08T07:01:32Z

@nick-shooter Damn, I didn't realize I referenced Invincible. Sorry about that. I was just going for a 'holier than thou' vibe with those characters. I'm thankful you enjoyed the game though. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback. I might be able to make a post-jam version with revised writing and more indication on where flesh tokens are.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-09T16:29:09Z

@enderswype No, but you can liquefy flesh gates.

This is falling to be unstable by WitekWitek 2021-10-07T15:46:46Z

I wish the instructions were before the gameplay, and the post-processing is a little excessive... However, this game is pretty damn fun. I like how tense it can get and I could see an arcade game like this coming out. My score was 69.

New World Disorder by xpoho 2021-10-07T04:11:51Z

Great atmosphere and writing although, I do wish it was longer to make a more lasting impression. What was there was well made though.

Glitch by Ozfolo 2021-10-07T22:06:54Z

Not bad. The visual glitching was something unique and I liked playing as a tree. I just wish there was more to do besides run and jump.

Pendulum Postman by mrchip 2021-10-07T15:43:20Z

I like this a lot. I would've liked more forgiving checkpoints and making tilting more useful but, it was still pretty fun to deliver all packages. Reminds me of Death Stranding in a weird way.

My First Game Jam Game by thedude3600 2021-10-07T15:31:26Z

Great puzzle game. I got stuck on the final level for about 10 minutes. I would really like to see an expanded version at some point.

Unstable Isotope by Nafe 2021-10-07T00:17:17Z

Awesome puzzle game. I only wish there was more audio and more levels.

Circle 7 by RustBaron 2021-10-07T00:11:13Z

I really enjoyed this game however, the jumping needs to be made slower. As the jumping is right now, I almost got motion sick playing this. If the presentation wasn't as good, I might've stopped playing. Amazing visuals.

Unstable Prey by R3dleg 2021-10-06T18:03:59Z

I really enjoyed this, I played for about 30 minutes and my bow was shooting like a machine gun while dealing 1/3 healthbar of damage each shot. It was a fun power-trip. However, I would've liked a bigger boss like enemy to give a sense of danger. After the first few upgrades it feels like you are unstoppable.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Forest Fire by JNI 2022-04-05T17:22:46Z

Solid game. I wish there were more inventory slots, and possibly lakes to refill buckets at. Graphics were really nice but the game doesn't seem to perform very well (I was playing in a browser, that could be the problem). Audio leaves a bit to be desired but overall its nicely polished for a game jam title.

Strata by Skyeward 2022-04-05T17:35:59Z

My first perfect rating in this jam. Everything is really well done here. I would like to see an expanded version sometime.

The Apocawiz by shadow64 2022-04-08T15:11:57Z

This is near perfect for me. I really liked the graphics, gameplay, audio and writing. However, the final boss kinda ticked me off. Kept spamming a move that froze me in place, leaving me unable to do anything. I managed to beat him and get a time of 2:41 though. Other than that, amazing game. I really liked the Link to the Past influences.

To the Beat of the Mountain King by tompudding 2022-04-06T17:27:05Z

Nice game. I like the mix between an endless runner and a rhythm game. The music is a little quiet though, even at max volume.

The Cold Night by Steffo 2022-04-07T13:47:31Z

This game is pretty fun. I did run into performance issues late in the game because of the hundreds of snowmen on screen, but it wasn't enough to ruin the experience. Good work.

Cardboard People on Fire by BoxedMeatRevolution 2022-04-05T17:30:34Z

I had to download based on the name alone. The game did not disappoint. I have no idea what the hell is going on but its got an atmosphere that is both tense and relaxing. Definitely one of the weirdest games I've played and it will probably be in the back of my mind for some time.

Dont Sleep by PhoenixofForce 2022-04-06T16:02:29Z

Pretty cool game. Graphics were nice, especially the cheese eating. Sound is a bit lacking, and there isn't too much going on in the game, but it's humor makes up for it.

Grapecheese by jandourek 2022-04-06T16:25:46Z

This was probably the largest game I've played so far this Ludum Dare. Really fun, interesting world. I liked a lot of the writing and the gameplay was pretty good. I did not like the final boss, however. Having him shoot the EXACT same projectiles as the player lead me to getting hit by stuff I couldn't even see. His animations were awesome though. Reminded me of fighting Satan in The Binding of Isaac.

Market Maker by Roitchie 2022-04-07T13:38:37Z

Interesting game, a little hard to get the hang of though. I still had some fun with it. The card art and descriptions were humorous. Felt like there was only 5 cards though, maybe I was unlucky with drawing.

The Last Days of RIPLEY 9000 by Human Writes Code 2022-04-05T17:16:48Z

I was half expecting to fight an alien queen in that power-loader. In all seriousness, I liked this a lot. I wish there was a bit more to the resources in the game but for a game jam, I think this is all it needs. Sound design was surprisingly good and I found the visuals really appealing.

Les Aventures de De Lay L'Inévitable! by natpat 2022-04-05T15:12:41Z

This was fun, although I wish there were a bit more to the gameplay. The sliders also could've probably been made better with the addition of a throw arc coming from the player. Other than those small gripes, the graphics were pleasing, and the idea of throwing baguettes at people is amusing. Overall solid game.

Stop the clock by Shampop 2022-04-05T16:40:37Z

Interesting. I like the curveballs the game throws at you to press the button. However, I feel like there should be ways to make the player get tricked into releasing the button. Good work though.

I hate angry spiders! by Logic 2022-04-10T15:55:30Z

I really like this game. Interesting interactions and fun to solve puzzles. It could use some music, but that seems to be my only issue.

You Will Fall by Yaen 2022-04-07T13:32:41Z

Damn, this is hard, but fun. I'm a fan of the art style, this feels pretty polished for a jam game. I'm going to hear "So you think you can make it across?" in my nightmares tonight.

Aster Defense by emrod 2022-04-05T16:36:24Z

This was a nice game. However, I feel like the difficulty should increase, rather than stay the same throughout. The visuals were extremely polished and the audio was satisfying. I feel like this could have good potential, if expanded upon.

Paranomaly by TheGamerASD 2022-04-07T13:57:26Z

I really like the graphics and the presentation. However, I believe that when anomalies occur, there should be some kind of signal to tell the player to look for something. It was a little hard finding out what to do. I had a really hard time finding anomalies but regardless, this is a nice game.

One Bite by Lenan 2022-04-05T17:55:09Z

Simple but fun. I couldn't get many enemies to spawn however, so the game feels a bit short. The sound and graphics are pretty nice, and I like the feel of the player.

Meteor Storm by Fragment Games 2022-04-06T16:30:40Z

Interesting game. Not much to it but it has that same pull that certain older games do. It's kind of addicting going for a high score. Graphics are great, audio is satisfying and the game is responsive. I feel like there could have been some things added to the gameplay to make the player have to do more than just react to a direction, but overall this is a solid game.

Mr. Final Boss by Oroshibu 2022-04-05T17:51:40Z

Awesome game. Amazing graphics for a jam, for a game in general. I really enjoyed all of the influences as well. It's cool to play as a boss against random characters. Bonus points for the Dark Souls and Metal Gear Rising references.

Demon Wins Everytime by MacabreArtGames 2022-04-07T13:14:16Z

I had some fun with this. I actually didn't mind the tank controls, and the gunplay was quick and satisfying. Upgrades and downgrades were also really well implemented. Overall good game.

Running Out of Time by Arthur Mairs 2022-04-08T13:57:59Z

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Impressive open world, fun gameplay, and it was a decent length too. Probably one of the greatest game over animations I've seen. I don't really have anything negative to say about it.

Malpractice by ikelucas 2022-04-05T17:44:34Z

I actually can't believe how much happens in this game. I really liked the juggling act of keeping the patient alive for as long as possible. Felt like a twisted version of WarioWare. Good game.

OSTRO by Totteri 2022-04-06T16:59:39Z

I'm extremely impressed by how large this game is for a jam. I think this has potential for a full game. Great atmosphere and great execution.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-05T16:20:36Z

@stupidhobbit You need to press "fire" to advance the cutscene.

@kszaku I fully agree with you there. I guess I just got too used to the difficulty in play-testing. I do want to make the player's health visible in a future update. Glad you enjoyed the graphics.

@mopifish Thank you for the kind words. It seems I might have overdone the speed a tad. Adjustments will be made later, but I do hope you enjoyed what you played.

@pegasus I really should've thought about that. It has been noted. I'll try my best to change it.

@zelenoe-aloe Thank you for playing. I think I might try showing the alien's side in a future update.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-05T16:26:35Z

@mopifish @kszaku Framerate was unlocked and the gamespeed was unstable. The game has been patched to fix this.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-05T19:40:39Z

@emaigualmc2-art Yeah, I should add a button prompt to the cutscenes. Noted.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-05T21:01:43Z

@underlig Thanks for the feedback. All things I should consider for an expanded version... especially the expanded play field...

@thekimeo I might try re balancing the subweapons. I feel like some of them are underpowered. Music is coming in an upcoming update (should be 1.1). Thank you for playing.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-06T01:01:02Z

@milq I apologize but I can't promise a linux port. I have no experience so I definitely want to learn if possible. I'll try at some point.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-07T05:19:31Z

@superpokeunicorn @chaoseiro @rmrvar @human-writes-code @thecoconutdream Thank you all for playing and for the kind words.

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-09T14:21:31Z

@zachsbutt @unfinished Thank you both for playing. I should be more clear with the aliens. You need to kill them for the blue orbs that they drop. This is EXP and it will slowly fill a bar, eventually upgrading the ship's abilities. I should also add clarity to the hud details.

@skylife @mmisspelling @wetburritosupreme @fatpenguin @nobongo @seniorwombat Thank you all for playing.

@s-onoe I understand. Audio and mobility are being looked into for 1.1. Thank you for playing.

AMBROSIA by pierogo 2022-04-05T15:59:52Z

That game was great, it felt like I was playing an Amnesia custom map. My only complaint that I have was the radio. It kept repeating the beginning dialogue over and over again. Other than that, the graphics, atmosphere, sound, and music were all on point.

Culmination by Arsen 2022-04-05T15:28:45Z

This game has a solid premise, however, requires many improvements. I like the idea of running around in some kind of dark, dingy building with the threat of something chasing me. That said, the execution of that idea here was a little underwhelming. I feel like the player's collision was very misleading and lead to a lot of moments where I would just get stuck when I should keep walking. The infected monster is also disappointing. I wished it would chase me through rooms at the very least. And finally, I spent around 30-40 minutes looking for the way out and all it lead me to was dead ends before I got stuck in a wall. I would like to see a more refined version in the future because I believe it could be fun but for now, it needs improvements.

I Would Like to Thank the Academy by sprunth 2022-04-08T15:26:48Z

This was alright but most of the messages were nonsensical. I like the idea though. Needs a better indication of what will be seen as boring.

Desert trip by Dreamerflow 2022-04-06T17:31:43Z

It's pretty cool to see a game made with blender here, but the game is pretty lacking. It's not terrible, but I do wish there was more to do.

Heart of Atoms by Dmytro 2022-04-06T17:20:18Z

I've got to be brutally honest here. While the graphics and sound were great, I feel like the controls make this game not so great. Jumping feels fine, same with the shooting, but when in the air, you can't stop your forward speed. You end up over-shooting every obstacle and it makes precise platforming a nightmare. Jumping off of small platforms also felt like a coin flip whether I would even jump or not. This made jumping between buzzsaws extra nerve-wracking and I didn't even complete the game. I like everything else you have here, it's a good base. It just needs some refinement in the platforming and then I could see it being great.

What the Hell? by GlorifiedPig 2022-04-05T19:39:13Z

I liked this game a lot. The graphics reminded me a lot of how rimworld looks. Unfortunately, it seems like the sound effects were taken from other games. I'd recognize that shield recharge sound from anywhere. Otherwise, good work.

Stuck In The Hypertext by RealTanHen 2022-04-10T16:10:56Z

Man that was messed up. In a good way. I really liked this interesting twist on "delay the inevitable". Only 1 complaint though, I wish you could skip those transitions between memories. Other than that, Good work.

[Don't] Prune the Money Tree by Orionhart 2022-04-08T14:44:56Z

Very strange, but addicting game. Played this one for quite a bit. Although, I never got my tree past 10 minutes.

DisasterGuard by Jroo 2022-04-10T16:37:46Z

Seriously impressive and fun for a jam game. Legitimately want to see where this one goes.

Defend the Earth by SeniorWombat 2022-04-05T19:27:05Z

Neat game. Graphics area nice, and I like the premise. However, I feel like the ship is too floaty, I often end up sliding past the target. Other than that small issue, the game is good.

Impending Darkness by Kita 2022-04-05T16:13:44Z

Awesome game. I never would've thought "arcade horror" would work so well. I'm "retro" on the leaderboards. I like the risk-reward gameplay that makes you think about how you spend your resources before returning. I feel like the only improvements that could be made is a compass and possibly more resources to use in crafting (stuff like higher-grade torches).

Fear the Repo by BloodyEdward 2022-04-05T15:45:15Z

I got to round 10 before calling it quits. Not a terrible game, but there needs to be something more to the gameplay. After a certain point, I kinda just felt like I was gunning down helpless IRS workers for no reason. I feel like they need to actively run after the player or his assets. The graphics were quite nice, and the overall style is enjoyable. If this was worked on for a while longer, I would like to come back to it.

Pompeii Ludum Dare 50 by Devterev 2022-04-07T13:28:08Z

Cool game. The art style is great, but the gameplay could use some fine-tuning. I had fun with it overall though.

Drama Crusade by Stenblood 2022-04-06T17:09:01Z

Damn, what an unsettling time. Was not expecting a game like this in the jam. Good work.

Last Night at Tax fraud by iMadislol 2022-04-08T15:03:06Z

I like this. My only issue with it has to be the difficulty. It is a little hard to find out what you are doing early on and having the taxman being really aggressive even early in the game makes it harder. Other than that, the graphics are great, and there is a decent atmosphere. I'm usually good at typing, but the game makes you tense even while typing the smallest of words. Good work.

Time For Dinner by Applestreet Games 2022-04-07T13:08:25Z

Good game. I really got frustrated on the keypad puzzle, mainly because it's keys are not labeled. Other than that I had a great time with this.

Muzketeerz by Lord Shulky 2022-04-05T18:25:38Z

Interesting game. I only wish there were more enemy types and weapons. Maybe some more locations? Anyways, for what the game is right now it's pretty good.

Caution! Sniper! by Dawiderter 2022-04-07T22:52:47Z

I really liked this game. However, there was some major stuttering issues. Other than that, the art was very good and the gameplay was fun and I liked seeing all of the different situations the sniper puts me in. It's definitely got potential I think.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Queue to Hell by FernandaBatista 2022-10-11T18:28:38Z

I liked this a lot. The art style is great, the writing needs some work, but it still managed to be funny, and I like the idea of managing hell's newbies. Good work.

Nuclear Waste Disposal by Dining Philosopher 2022-10-10T14:52:14Z

I actually really enjoyed this. I have a few gripes however.

The game mechanics should be explained a little better. It took me a few minutes to get a full grasp on what I was doing.

The piece movement is a little weird. I feel like moving pieces into a wall should compress them all into a pile. sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It feels inconsistent how the pieces stack together.

Also, barrels shouldn't drop onto the incinerator while the pieces are falling. With the lack of control, I felt frustrated that a combo I was setting up was ruined by a random piece that just so happens to have a barrel.

Other than that, the graphics are cool, the gameplay is addicting and fun and it has one of the most unique ideas I've seen so far. Solid game.

10 Second Shmup by stmatn 2022-10-10T16:45:44Z

I really like the concept and execution of this game. It was really fun trying to lay out the perfect plans for maximum profits. I do feel like the game could use some music, and maybe a fast forward button for times where there is nothing happening on screen. Also I would've liked to see more variety in the cards, or just straight up ship upgrades. Other than that I had a great time and I would like to see what this turns into.

PULSAR by kazuo256 2022-10-06T16:07:09Z

Definitely the most polished game i've played so far in this jam. I'm a huge fan of just about everything here. I think that the game could have used a better tutorial however. I really want to see this expanded.

10 second base by Stratcat66 2022-10-10T16:59:27Z

This game was great.

The graphics were nice, the gameplay was fun and interesting for a tower defense, the sound design was alright and overall I had no glitches or anything to sour my experience. Solid entry.

SKLOP by Beefsock 2022-10-10T17:03:12Z

It was cool. Not a game in the traditional sense, but I had a good time just looking at it. Really trippy experience. I just wish there were more game mechanics.

Ravening Edge by Tsunscreen 2022-10-07T17:56:03Z

Great game. I really liked the wolfenstein-esque level design using the classic keycard formula. The graphics were really well done, and the gameplay felt satisfying. The 10 second soul counter was really well implemented I think.

One thing I would add is some sort of visual damage indicator for enemies. Something to let the player know that they are ready to be slashed.

Cryptomon by Isaac Hisey 2022-10-07T18:06:41Z

This is a fine game. The graphics are nice, same with the audio. The user interface is slightly clunky, but it gets the job done. The gameplay loop however, I can't really understand it but I still think its slightly addicting to keep the cryptomons alive. Only thing I could complain about is a slight lack of clarity with game mechanics but other than that it's a cool game.

Yes, Comrade. by Hugimugi7 2022-10-06T17:53:50Z

My first 5/5 for this jam. I am really impressed with what was done here in 72 hours. The graphics are really good, same with the audio and gameplay. I really liked the voice acting and the gameplay loop of getting locations and connecting people correctly. This was really addicting in the same way Papers Please was. I want to see this turned into a full game.

Radar by bbaf 2022-10-06T15:35:52Z

Graphics and atmosphere were definitely the highlights. I feel like more could have been done with the gameplay, however. Interesting game. I defnitely want to see how this shapes up in the future.

You Are Not Alone by detectiveLosos 2022-10-07T17:42:05Z

Awesome concept done pretty well. I really liked fighting those robots with 3 of myself. It felt great getting a machine like system going with my clones. Even the gunplay was enjoyable. The graphics and sound were top-notch as well. I would have made the game get more difficult as time goes on, but all in all, this was a great time.

Echo by caeonosphere 2022-10-11T18:49:44Z

An amazing idea for a platformer. However, I think having the echolocation happen only every ten seconds is a frustrating limitation and led to many deaths from impatience.

The graphics are extremely well done and polished for a compo game, and the sound (especially with headphones) was awesome. This game has some potential, and I think reducing the time between echoes would make this game so much better.

It moved?.. by MadHumster 2022-10-06T16:18:31Z

Interesting idea for a game. I did find it a tad too dark, and I don't really like that there is a gun (I think it would have been creepier without a way to fight back), but other than that the visuals are great, the sound design is appropriately gross and disturbing, and it's a decent albeit short horror experience.

Business Munch by Yoni 2022-10-10T15:10:40Z

This was awesome. Humor was great, graphics were nice, gameplay was frenetic and the writing and voice acting made everything funnier. I don't really have anything bad to say about this other than maybe it could have an endless mode? Regardless, this is a great entry and a personal favorite of the jam so far.

TOOT TOOT by Quackqack 2022-10-06T16:23:07Z

I actually really like this concept for a rhythm game. It is really confusing at first and I think there could be a better way of laying out the notes, but all in all, I kinda want an expanded version of this concept.

Puzzle Clock by BackwardsCap 2022-10-11T19:10:53Z

Really cool puzzle game. Took me a good 30 minutes to finish this. I really liked the graphics but I did feel like this could have used some kind of audio to improve the experience. Other than that I had a good time with this game.

Steamship Battle by Heho 2022-10-10T15:22:00Z

I'm gonna be brutally honest here, I didn't find the game fun really. The graphics were nice, I thought the ship controls well enough, but anything involving combat is a glitchy chore unfortunately. This could've been a really cool game, but a lot of bugs needed to be fixed. I also feel like combat is skewed too much towards the enemies favor.

Keep working at it though, I'm sure a post-jam version could be way better.

EPOCH by Wouter52 2022-10-07T18:25:28Z

This game was alright. I feel like the gameplay was a little too simplistic, and there really wasn't much variety with the prompts given for bugs. I did like the graphics and atmosphere however. Some of the coolest stuff I've seen in the jam so far.

EPOCH by Wouter52 2022-10-07T18:34:49Z

I'll give it a shot later. Thank you for the reply.

EPOCH by Wouter52 2022-10-08T16:44:28Z

@wouter52 I gave the post jam version a try. That was way better. A lot of my issues were resolved with that version. Great work. Do you have anymore plans with this game?

Storm Raider by spacecadet 2022-10-10T15:03:12Z

I enjoyed this. The graphics were nice, the music was alright and the stealth mechanics were fun. My only gripes with this: too much time spent waiting, and the boxes are really weird to control.

With some more work, this could be fleshed out into something cool. Good work.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-03T18:48:59Z

@wildmusketeer I've uploaded download links... I need to check this. I'll comment when I fix this.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-03T18:50:34Z

@wildmusketeer I seem to have fixed the issue. Thank you for waiting.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-04T01:18:27Z

@wildmusketeer Thank you for the comment. I was kinda worried the humor would turn people away, glad it seems to work.

@innocuousuk @ironfred Thank you for the comments. Music and sound will always be my downfall.

@evill Thank you for your comment.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-06T16:33:21Z

@geronimo Thank you for the feedback. I think I actually might make some improvements based on this comment, especially the pizza text and the critics. I'm glad to see you enjoyed it.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-06T18:09:11Z

@numb @coolgunxdd Thank you for the kind words.

@quinn-patrick Thank you for the feedback. I agree with most of your points, and I feel like making an updated version soon. About the theme, I felt like I could have implemented it better, but the customer's hunger lasts 10 seconds. I probably should have made that more obvious...

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-07T16:59:58Z

@mickxe Thank you for the comment. And I know, I really wanted music in the game also. My composer couldn't finish music on time for this one.

@stratcat66 Thank you for playing. Keyboard shortcuts are definitely a good idea, I'll keep that in mind. And nice score, I only managed 3645... I appreciate the kind words.

@rinkuji Thank you for the comment. I really liked making the intro.

@last-angle Thanks for the feedback. I am definitely going to make the pizza selection easier in a future post-jam version.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-07T22:54:24Z

@jonmerrin Thank you for the comment. I had a fun time developing those darker aspects. And I want to try doing something about the UX at some point... Also, I actually wanted more kinds of people and clothing in the game, but I never found the time to accomplish this. I hope to add things like that into a future post-jam version.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-08T02:37:09Z

@ggross Thank you for playing. I agree with your statement on the UI, and I will work on it in a post-jam version.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-08T22:56:13Z

@gerd As someone who really likes flash games (especially Newgrounds), thank you for the praise.

Pizza Time!!! by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-10-14T20:24:12Z

@beefsock I might actually make some customers run when that happens. Seems like a good way to clear the screen for a moment to relax. Thanks for playing.

@brunowsky I totally agree. I will be looking into ways to resolve this issue in a post-jam update.

@georgy16 @drafy @nija463 Thanks for playing.

@omga Thanks for the comment. I will look into playing your game if I have some free time.

Delivery Rush by Georgy16 2022-10-11T18:59:48Z

Cool game. I wish there was a bit more to it but the graphics were nice, the physics were stable and I liked both of the endings. I laughed when I got the good ending. Overall great entry.

Planet survival by Last Angle 2022-10-06T16:31:39Z

I found the gameplay slightly repetitive, but oddly fun and relaxing. It was cool seeing my planet grow like that. The graphics and music were nice, and I don't really have many bad things to say about this game. Solid entry.

Survive Another 10 Seconds by crotonyl_alcohol 2022-10-07T17:24:27Z

Awesome bullet-hell game. I really enjoyed how the shooting felt and I thought the graphics, while simple, were nice. The audio is really satisfying and the game getting harder every ten seconds was a good use of the theme. Overall I have nothing really bad to say about this game. Good work.

STORQ3000 by pierogo 2022-10-10T16:30:06Z

Awesome game. I think this might be the most polished game I've run into so far. I don't really know if I have anything bad so say about it. I guess there needs to be more visual feedback with the bullets? Great entry overall.

10S ARENA by Moonblast 2022-10-07T16:28:11Z

This is a decent game. I really like the idea of it, using bullets to knock enemies into pits, but I found some minor issues with the gameplay.

There seems to be a lot of collision issues and I've had a lot of instances of enemies jumping out of holes. The player also seems to jerk around the stage a lot and I usually have a lot of issues going where I need to go. I think a double jump or temporary jetpack would do wonders with the movement issues.

The game could also use some power-ups. Just for some gameplay variety. And also score and lives.

However, the gunplay is satisfying and I liked the music and sound design. The graphics are also very nice. There is a lot to like about this game, and a lot to expand on. Bonus points for The World reference. Solid game. I enjoyed my time with this.

Tile To Tile by ADerpyChickenStudios 2022-10-08T13:36:31Z

I really liked this game. The controls were smooth, but also precise enough to never worry about any jump. Combining speedrunning with memory is a great idea. It made me play a platformer in a completely different way. The mini-map was also extremely helpful here. I don't really have anything bad to say. This is a really solid game.

Midnight Game Child by MistaGiggles 2022-10-06T17:06:01Z

Once I wrapped my head around the controls, this game was awesome. Really reminded me of Game & Wario. I don't actually have any complaints for this one.

Light - Switch by Malcom Thonger 2022-10-07T16:54:43Z

Full disclosure, I couldn't finish the game. I spent 10 minutes looking for the exit and found nothing.

I honestly found the game slightly boring. There is a lot of waiting around for blocks to clear, you can barely see anything, and I think the maze is too confusing. Collisions also seem broken. I closed the game to find rickroll open... Was that part of the game?

I wouldn't say it's all bad though. I thought the graphics were nice enough, and the controls were fine. I just think it needed a bit more work. Keep working at it. I'm sure with an update this game could be a lot better.

Lights Out by Zakroutil 2022-10-06T16:51:58Z

I really liked this game. The visuals and audio are creepy, the mechanic of only being able to see whilst still is neat and the presentation is great for a game jam title.

ShooterWare by AntonioTheReis 2022-10-11T18:23:31Z

Interesting idea. I liked the shoot em up gameplay, but I feel like the minigames needed some indication as to what I'm supposed to be doing.

There should have also been some sort of transition screen, something to let the player relax for a second before a minigame appears. I found myself losing lives by running into walls because the minigame just shows up.

I also feel like this game should have a scoring feature and maybe an auto fire mode. My hand was getting a little tired after a few minutes.

The graphics and audio were great though, and I think this idea has some potential. Good work.

Mutated Carbon by Gousen Pride 2022-10-10T17:26:29Z

Really good use of the theme. I like this game a lot. The gameplay is satisfying, the graphics are great, the game concept is genius, and the constant upgrading makes the player feel powerful. Overall amazing entry. I don't even have anything bad to say about it.

I'm "egg" on the leaderboards.

Web-Cleaner by Heming Ruan 2022-10-06T15:57:25Z

Awesome game. I only have a few gripes. I just think the game takes a bit too long to get going and I'm not really a fan of the cup and blink covering the entire screen. I really enjoyed the story bits near the end though. That was definitely not expected. I also found the advertisements funny. I never thought I'd see a gun with balls.

Against the Clock by Thomas Yanuziello 2022-10-07T18:11:35Z

Awesome take on the theme, I thought this game was relaxing. I don't really have many bad things to say about this one. I kinda wish the hands could move a bit faster though.

GovdaJ by Viktor_Same 2022-10-06T15:43:43Z

This is a good foundation for something to build off of later. I particularly liked the sprite art and the music. With some sound effects, scoring systems, and maybe some more polish like gore or screenshake, this could be a really fun game.

Dimension Rush by LunariiSXZ 2022-10-06T17:22:00Z

This is a really cool concept. I like most of the dimensional changes, however, the red one is just plain annoying. Checkpoints would be a nice addition, and maybe a few more sound effects but other than that, the gameplay is good and the graphics are really appealing. Good game.

Cyblade: The Tale of Mark Wan by innocuousuk 2022-10-10T16:19:41Z

I had some fun with this game. I liked the atmosphere and the graphics. The music was kick-ass. My biggest issues are with the glitches and oversights.

It seems that using melee weapons is disadvantageous. Every time I get close to use a melee weapon, my health is drained. Seeing as there is no way to regen hp, I think this is a little unfair.

Ranged weapons were fun, but it seems that I can't reload the weapon in the right hand and eventually, despite having infinite ammo, my left handed weapon stopped reloading as well.

I also would have liked a better visual indication that my attacks were landing. Something with some oomph to it.

Other than that, this was a fun time. I would like to see a postjam version with some balancing and bug fixes.

10 Second Defence by ZLuca 2022-10-06T17:16:06Z

This was an alright game. I liked the visuals and placing units. The writing was also humorous. However, I feel like there needs to be visual indicators of what is attacking and who is getting hurt. The sound design also needs some work. Some sounds are quiet while others are way too loud. All in all, there is stuff that needs work but a good foundation is here.

Party is Over by LauraHur 2022-10-11T18:41:30Z

I think that the only problem with this game is matching the theme. There doesn't really seem to be anything happening every 10 seconds...

However, this is a great point and click game with excellent writing and puzzles. I also really enjoyed the graphics and presentation. I wonder what the clown's wrath would be?

Overall excellent entry.

Collect in 10 by dUmMy432 2022-10-11T18:53:59Z

The game is alright. I found that the collision for the mushrooms to be a bit too large, and I also would have made the player smaller.

I had many runs fail due to being within a certain range of a mushroom that I had no intention of collecting.

I also found the tutorial screen to be a bit hard to read.

Other than that the game runs well, has no glitches, and it looks nice enough. Solid work.

Puncher Pusher by WhumpusWu 2022-10-07T17:09:40Z

I like this game a bit. I thought that the mechanic of punching people onto a train was funny but I do wish there was more to do. Maybe some variety in what kinds of things you have to deal with.

Maybe criminals that you have to punch away from trains, or something of that nature, maybe some powerups too. Just something to break the repetition of punching everyone you see into a train.

That said, this is a charming game. Solid work.

Returnal by MegaFocus 2022-10-08T13:10:37Z

Awesome puzzle platformer. I enjoyed my time with this, despite the short length. I would have liked to see more uses of the reset, and I also would've liked a reset button, just so I'm not waiting just to reset to the beginning. Other than that, the graphics are nice, the game play is solid, and overall the game was good.

Slime Can Fly by BenTheTwoOfUs 2022-10-11T18:18:06Z

I really enjoyed this. Felt like a nice mixture of games from the 70's-90's. The graphics and gameplay were extremely well polished for a game made in 72 hours. The audio was also really nice. I did find the "powerup" to be a little frustrating though, whenever I got it, I just fell through the stage. Other than that, this is a really great game.

10Y Lost, 10M Lives Regained by jjbug 2022-10-07T16:38:43Z

One of the most unique entries I've played so far in this jam. I really liked the atmosphere and the weird gameplay. The graphics and sounds were really off-putting in a really cool way. I especially liked the voice acting. I only wish it was longer.

LD54 — Limited Space

Textris by davision 2023-10-08T20:02:26Z

(I played V1) I am a massive Tetris fan so maybe I'm a little biased, but this game is awesome.

I really like the visuals, the sound, and the concept. I can clearly see the Tetris Effect influence with the graphics.

My only gripe is sometimes there is no choice but to mismatch pieces. Other than that I really like this game. Really impressive looking for a jam title.

Tiny Rogue Rumble by juxipolo 2023-10-03T22:48:49Z

Pretty fun game. I like all of the dungeons and dragons combat systems, and the visuals are really nice. There was some cool ideas here, like managing the inventory, how many weapons you have, how many skills they use. I liked picking and choosing the stuff I needed. The game was also just hard enough.

I did run into a pretty serious glitch though. When I died, I didn't really die. I just clicked the stairs and the player moved to the next floor.

I enjoyed my time with this game though, and all it could really use is some music. Other than that, good work.

Pineapple Burger Pizza by godsboss 2023-10-05T18:17:35Z

I think this game is alright, but it could use a bit of work - mainly in the difficulty and sound.

The game seems too easy, maybe there is too much reputation, or maybe the ingredients don't randomize correctly, but I was never in danger of losing.

I like the visuals though, and the actual pizza construction is fun.

I would've liked the controls on screen though, as they are a bit confusing to figure out even after reading the help section.

Nice game though. Just needs a bit of polish.

Warehouse 2319 by Silas Reinagel 2023-10-03T23:23:21Z

This game is awesome. I'm always a fan of janky physics action games and this ticks most of the boxes.

The gameplay is surprisingly fun and satisfying, and the story and voice acting kept me playing. I was, however, a little let down by the ending. I would have liked to see what this "proposition" was.

There was also some really weird sections where the movement felt awkward. Like the staircase, where I actually clipped out of bounds.

Performance was also a problem. Overall though, I can look past some of these issues because it's a game that was made in 72 hours. The passion clearly shows in the end result. I honestly want more of whatever this was.

Mechanical Mutiny by simex 2023-10-08T21:07:40Z

Really well polished game. Pretty fun to complete, if a little unbalanced. I actually let my other teammates die and just put all of the equipment onto the blue guy. Made an unstoppable killing machine that could walk around an entire room, heal, shoot with pinpoint accuracy and deal a shit ton of damage on top of that.

If I had to complain about stuff my only problems were with the UI and the SFX.

The death sound is way too loud. It actually gave me a jumpscare the first few times I heard it.

And the UI for selecting attacks sometimes doesn't work. I'll click on the icon and the grid doesn't show up. Sometimes, the grid will stay on other players if I end my turn while attempting an action. It's weird.

Other than that this was a fun time, and I liked playing it. Good work.

CARGOMBULATOR by ecmjohnson 2023-10-08T19:02:24Z

That was alright. I kinda wish there was a bit more to it. Graphics were nice, and the sound design was okay.

The controls sometimes got in the way of what I wanted to do. I think holding the mouse button should keep updating the player end position. Just a personal gripe though.

The game itself leaves a lot to be desired. It is simple, which is good but I would have liked to see maybe 2 more box types. It felt a bit to easy to optimize the space and get a really high score. Also, some more visual feedback on what box(es) you are carrying would be nice, like a tractor beam or outline.

Overall, solid. Just needed a bit more meat.

UPGRADE - OUT OF MEMORY by Worido 2023-10-05T18:08:12Z

Gameplay was actually really fun and addictive, and the visuals were pretty good but I have a few gripes.

Mainly the readability. I found it way too easy for the player to get lost visually when you are trying to pay attention to everything coming after you. I think making the grid slightly opaque while the player is playing could mitigate some of that.

Enemies can also spawn kill the player. A few times during gameplay, an enemy would just pop into existence right on top of the player and kill them instantly. I think a small warning indicator a second or two before they appear would work.

The only other problem I could think of is the lack of sound, but that's not too big of a deal in a game jam. What's important is the gameplay, and the actual game here is really fun. I kinda want to see more of this at some point. Nice work.

Mechanizyn by Lincolnsalles 2023-10-08T21:12:15Z

Simplistic but interesting. I really would've liked to see more levels and variety, but as a start this is pretty solid. I wish I could say more, but the game seems to be really short at the moment.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-03T21:48:24Z

@orangeoceans Thanks for playing. Yeah, honestly I should have made the difficulty increase faster. Later on in the game, there are obstacles that interact with each-other in ways that make you divert. Introducing those obstacles faster would have probably improved the pacing.

@rorybabory Thank you for the feedback and for playing. I agree about the tutorial. I should've made a section where the voicelines were playing over gameplay, giving the player a visual and letting them feel the game before jumping in.

However, I feel letting the player restart a level would let them just get away with mistakes too much. I feel like in games, the player needs those game-overs to reinforce what they have done wrong.

Not saying restarts are wrong though. Maybe i'll make an option for that at some point.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-03T23:28:12Z

@nick-baggett Thanks for playing. Rerolling the piece could actually be a pretty cool mechanic, i'll have to keep that in mind for later.

@fredspipa Thank you for the feedback. And thank you for the compliment on the voice acting. That is one aspect I was really proud of. However, there is a suicide button. It is said in the tutorial that pressing J or Left Shift would kill you. Perhaps it wasn't clear enough? I do think I should make that button work while building a level though, just so you don't have to finish all of the creation before giving up.

@frankdev Thanks for playing. Glad you liked the voice stuff, I really liked working on it.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-05T18:19:28Z

@vegeo Thanks for playing. It's funny, when I was making the game I thought the reverb was great, but after release I realized after playing the game for a while, that the reverb gets pretty annoying. I think i'll add a mute button or make a way to skip the audio sections in the future.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-05T18:29:58Z

@happygamer500 Thanks for playing. As I have stated before, I feel like I introduced obstacles too late into the game. It seems like people get bored before they even need to start moving blocks more intentionally. I will keep this in mind for an updated version.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-05T18:30:55Z

@spider-the-second Thanks for playing. Yeah, that was my biggest mistake was the pacing. I regret making those obstacles appear as late as they did.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-05T18:40:05Z

@baubau Thank you for playing. I think that game was Ultimate Chicken Horse? That was an inspiration, but I was mainly thinking of No More Heroes and WarioWare at the time (I know, weird combination). Thanks for the kind words.

Just... Make It Yourself! by real_flamingicecubegames 2023-10-05T19:04:37Z

@happygamer500 I appreciate that you replayed the game and I will try to do better.

Huh. I had no idea what to expect with this game. I kinda like that there is no description, just instructions. This is such a weird game. I don't even really know if it can be called a game though, there is no victory, there is no failure, there is only the goose.

In all seriousness though, this was a fun experience. The visuals and sounds were great and satisfying. I even tried spawning a fuck-ton of balls to see what would happen and it was amazing.

Got slightly confused before the game started. When I found out you can click the wall and the tutorial continues, everything made sense.

Disregarding that, this game is awesome. I really liked the atmosphere of just having to wait on a phone call that may or may not happen, all the while "something" is just down the hall from you. I felt helpless, especially 3 minutes in when I had used all of my speaker plays.

The only part that sucked was the ending. I would've even accepted the cliche "monster kills you anyway" ending for this game. Other than that, fantastic game.

Fairy Tale 2: Big Trouble in Pixie Hollow by Matt Green 2023-10-08T19:48:18Z

This is an interesting concept. I'm actually a fan of the gameplay here, I would've liked some more options regarding what to farm and when, but for now this is pretty good.

The writing was great as well, especially that ending. I was not expecting that.

It was a little hard to figure out what to do and my giant died multiple times before I figured out what I was doing wrong. I feel like a better tutorial would go a long way.

And I tried hard mode... yeah. That might not be possible. I almost made it, but I just couldn't produce enough.

I really liked seeing the ai on the fairies move around the screen and doing all of the farming. It was quite satisfying to see happen.

Overall this was a good time. Could've used a bit more, but whats here is good enough.

The Bullet Box by MonsieurDuck 2023-10-08T19:55:09Z

At first I thought "How hard could this be?" and I just blindly spammed the gun onto anything that moved. I then kept thinking "Why the hell am I dying?" before the terrifying realization set in.

I really dig the use of the theme here. Making my own hell was quite fun. Also, having goblins that deter the player from just camping in one spot was a great touch.

I actually would play an expanded version of this. Good work.

The Sound of Light by Germdog53 2023-10-05T18:28:32Z

This was pretty cool. I liked the idea of the "sonic discovery" but I feel like the walls it lit up were inconsistent. This made the final level difficult, but not in a fun way.

I do like the actual graphics though. The sonic discovery looks pretty cool, and I like that activated enemies light their surroundings with a dull red glow.

The sound design is a mixed bag however. The footsteps are a bit too loud, same with the sonic discovery. It was kind of grating.

I like the game concept and I hope to see a refined version at some point.

Mr. FLATFORMER's House by blinyadebil 2023-10-08T21:22:16Z

Holy shit. This might be the best game I've played in the jam so far. Really interesting use of the theme Limited Space. I actually want to see an expanded version at some point. I don't really have any complaints besides there wasn't more. Great job.

Museum by Poroli 2023-10-03T22:10:37Z

This was an interesting game. I really liked the atmosphere, it was genuinely unnerving at points, but I felt like some more audio would have gone a long way.

Visually the game is pretty great as well. No real complaints there.

The 1st painting had an awesome "oh shit" moment for me when I found out I was making my own challenge. The 2nd and 3rd paintings were kinda dull though. The platforming was really uncooperative. There was too much acceleration, especially in the air, and there wasn't enough deceleration. The player was also sticking to walls like Spider-Man, for some reason.

I kinda had no idea what was happening throughout the 4th painting. It's muffin time threw me off hard. I guess I just wasn't expecting a line like that in a game like this.

And the asylum, while visually great, I think could've used an end point. Unless there was one but I waited around for a while and nothing happened.

I think if the platforming was fixed, and you throw in a bit more audio, this game would be a lot better. Overall though, it was a memorable experience at least.

Museum by Poroli 2023-10-03T22:34:55Z

@teashna It seems like you can still upload a build, but I don't know if that breaks the rules or not. The rules section says that certain bug fixes are allowed, but must be highlighted in a changelog. Changing level designs and controls might be breaking those rules.

NarrowLabs Rumble by stmate03 2023-10-08T20:34:11Z

Well, the graphics were good. Same with the sounds, but thats about it unfortunately. It seems like this game is marred by poor design choices and unclear mechanics. It also keeps crashing.

The main menu is kinda hard to read with the bright green with scanlines and white text.

The meter management is kinda simple, but it doesn't seem to do very much besides make the player have to press 1 2 or 3 every now and then.

A crosshair would've been nice too.

Shooting and movement is alright though, and like I said, the graphics and sounds are pretty good. I can see a good game in here, but it needs further work. It's not the worst thing I played, but it could certainly be better.

Borderline by Tzeo 2023-10-05T17:59:12Z

I will have to echo what those above have said. This game would be cool if it were finished, but unfortunately it isn't. I still respect the time that was put in here.

As for what's there, I like the idea and the use of the theme. Limited space actually works really well for a detective setting. The visuals could use some work but they aren't that bad. I think the sprite offset is a bit janky on the player- whenever I turn his position seems to jump. The audio isn't too bad either, but some more sounds could improve the atmosphere of the room. Stuff like wood creaking, echoed footsteps, maybe even flies around the remains.

Hopefully this gets finished at some point, but for now sorry but I can't rate this too highly. Keep working on it though, I think it could go somewhere.

Spaces by Kippp 2023-10-08T20:27:02Z

This was awesome. It feels like a more serious take on the Ace Attorney games. I really liked piecing together the tragic story that was set up here. And the conclusion was really interesting as well. The actual game design was awesome too. I like the fact that you have limited space in the "notebook" so you have to shorten things, possibly at the risk of not remembering entire names.

The sound design was quite great too, and the dialogue was pretty well written.

This is a stand out title for me in ld54 so far. Good work.

Fallen Glory by luminarts 2023-10-03T22:26:02Z

This game was pretty fun, I really liked the use of the theme "limited space". It was kinda tense having to constantly deal death to prevent the walls from closing in. I also like how the player looks.

I do think the visuals could have been a bit better though, and the sounds could have been more impactful, and some of the upgrades could have been a bit more clear on what they actually do, but overall a solid entry.

I managed to get 466 kills.

Dark Reflect_ions by Victor Musteata Potatka 2023-10-05T17:52:00Z

If this is the first time you have made a game then I'm impressed.

I can definitely see the "FAITH" inspiration in the visuals, and the sounds were really nice for crafting a creepy atmosphere. Gameplay wise, it could have been a little better and more clear- some interaction prompts would have been nice. The puzzle hints were cleverly written, though.

Overall, really solid first try.
