LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-08T13:34:45Z

Very nice concept! I like the dont starve idea that you can not be in the dark. The only thing I would change is making it so you don't instantly die when you run out of light on your torch, this way you can still have a little bit of a chance to try and get back to the light. Anyway, great game and had loads of fun.

Ozone by Benstar 2023-10-05T14:00:41Z

Game is good but I dont see a point in choosing who your enemies will be. It is not really a meaningful choice to do. I would much rather have preferred if the reward was my character getting stronger, just like many other arena games do. Nevertheless, very impressed by the graphics and general feel of the game. Well done!

Tiny Island by ghpxi 2023-10-05T14:16:17Z

Very good concept! Honestly, a bit unclear what to do at the start but after a while I got the hang of it! It would be cool to see how you could further design interesting mechanics and have meaningful decisions to make

Introvertigo by Scott Steffes 2023-10-09T12:08:53Z

This is such an innovative game. It is very well made, I love the use of AI here. It makes each interaction unique and so much more interesting. Well done! I would love to see more variations of this, maybe where you have to steer the conversation towards different topics, or you have to convince someone to do something, the possibilities are endless. Good job!

Inside the box by Animaster 2023-10-04T08:53:56Z

Art is great, music and sound effects as well. I like the concept, but the gameplay is just to fast and chaotic. It would be a lot better if there was some kind of system that gradually increases the difficulty, maybe there is, I didn't really notice, but some kind of tutorial or level system where the player can get used to the mechanics and basics would have been a great addition.

Floodwater by John Gabriel 2023-10-08T13:31:30Z

Good game! It was a bit confusing at the first level, I didn't know I could push the box, but afterwards it was a very good experience! Nice little puzzles and fun mechanics!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-08T13:41:49Z

This was a very nice and polished game to play I like that the circle gets smaller when doing each defeat! However, there are not so many reasons to not just spam push and win. It was my only strategy and it made me win through all the difficulties. I don't know how one would punish this behavior, but it would be something to think about going forward.

ADEPTH by MarkElliott 2023-10-08T13:23:05Z

Didn't quite understand what I should do after going into the water, I drowned quite quickly and it was confusing what I should have done. I do like that you can pick up different objects though, much like the Amnesia games

Limited Space in Space by Fifut 2023-10-02T12:02:52Z

Well made! I like the musik its very catchy. I would have liked there to be more of a clear goal or alternative objectives. Maybe coins spawning, specific locations for bonus points etc.

A small town by AdamsMcCall 2023-10-02T12:19:15Z

This is so good! I love it. I however dont see the connection with the theme. Nevertheless this was so much fun to play. As a former Fortnite pro I had a lot of fun just jumping and dashing around, sniping the enemies. I like that there is a delay after each shot, so you have to really make sure you hit your shot. I also like that there is 100% accuracy, even when jumping. I would love to play more when there are more mechanics, maybe different gun types, power ups. The possibilities are endless!

Rusty Barrel by KenForest 2023-10-05T13:48:54Z

Reminds me of the narrow spacecraft in outer wilds, with some elements of Subnautica. Very impressed that you managed to get all this done in 72h!

Earth Invades (First Godot Game) by MadR 2023-10-02T12:08:35Z

I like the short play. Although it was easy, it was still very enjoyable! Artstyle is nice music and sound effects could be better!

OneSocket by r8teful 2023-10-10T10:21:14Z

@gnum Thank you!

@alexis8 Thanks, I feel like the pixel graphics fit well with this kind of vibe

@owc Yeah I can agree with you. The tutorial needs a rework, it was something I did very quickly at in the last hour before submitting.

@newvid Thanks!

@goddzeproject Thank you, I'm planning on adding more narrative elements to add to the dynamics, also the lack of scary monster sounds is bad for the tension! Thanks for the feedback

@constance Thank you, I agree, the tutorial definitely needs to be redone

@clema Thanks a lot!

@martin-bousquet Thank you for the feedback, making it easier to interact with the different objects is a big priority

@siberpunk01 Thank you for your valuable feedback, definitely good points to consider improving!

@real-flamingicecubegames Thank you for your kind words! Yeah, I would agree that the ending is not so good, it is something that I didn't put a lot of effort into, I would love to add a more clear and narratively interesting ending! Stay tuned (:

@gilborn Hahaha, even I got scared when I playtested! I might have made it a bit to loud hahah. Thank you for your kind words

@bobafett89 Thanks for the feedback!

@baubau Wooah, congratulations, very impressed that you managed to beat it! Thank you for the bug report, hahah, I didn't know it would continue charging

OneSocket by r8teful 2023-10-20T14:08:01Z

@commanderstitch Yeah you know the drill! I agree that the numbers are quite hard to hear. I'm glad the game was effective at scaring you! hahah

@metagen Thank you loads!

@lincolnsalles Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry to hear that it made you dizzy, I'll change so that the camera movement is more direct

@scarytreegames Thank you for the kind words!

Hey guys, I would just like to tell you that I have updated the game ALOT, there is a new tutorial, narrative, different visual style and loads of bugfixes. Please, if you guys are interested, you can play the updated demo for free here:

Picky Plants by chybby 2023-10-09T11:08:29Z

Very good job! I liked how much content you managed to squeeze in such a short time. I love the chess plants as well. I feel like there could be many more different levels with all sorts of different challenges and puzzles!

Stretchmancer by Choo 2023-10-08T13:17:47Z

SO innovative and fun to play! great jobb, would love to see a full version of this with more mind stretching puzzles!!

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-08T13:09:33Z

I love the art, its fits well with the limited color palette. I also like the puzzle elements, great jobb!

leaving the nest by WeeFairyFabi 2023-10-09T11:48:12Z

The art style is so cute! I really like how to bird reacts to what is happening in the game, like when you remove an item from your room, or when a new item gets displayed. I do miss a goal here however. Right now you can just kind of put whatever you want in there. But I can see how this can be turned into a nice puzzle game, where you have to go and satisfy a bunch of different birds that all want specific things and have requirements in how they want their house to be. It could add the extra challenge to the game!

Gacha Fever by Falestress 2023-10-09T11:14:11Z

I like the Vampire Survivors idea with the arena getting smaller! Very impress that you managed to code all this in only the short amount of time. The -1 confused me a bit. At first I thought that it is taking 1 score off my total. The damage should probably just be showed as positive numbers.

DONTPRESSSPACE by Nikaiaa 2023-10-09T11:40:47Z

Okay a very serious review coming up: First of all, I love this game. The mood, the art style, it is perfect. I love the spooky effects, like the different styles of the characters that flash. It adds so much more mood and horror to it, it's incredibly well made, well done! The "don't press space" concept is very interesting, but I feel like you could explore it more, for instance, instead of just failing and forcing a restart when you press space what would happen if you keep pressing space? Clochette could get mad, maybe they would get upset? Maybe they react differently to when you actually do press space. There is so many possibilities to consider here and the idea of all the depth you could further add to this excites me greatly. This could be an excellent and very exciting narrative game with all the abstract things and further depth you could add. I look forward to any further development you might do, good luck!

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-05T14:25:33Z

Don't really understand what to do in the game. Unclear what the icons mean, unclear what counts as a right and a wrong train. Unclear gameplay, unclear game, makes it quite boring to play, sorry, I just can't have a high rating for this one

The Long Night of Augustus Brandicourt by Norah 2023-10-09T11:28:00Z

I like the short little story. But the fact that this is a truly narrative game wonder if the narrative aspects of it are up to par. I like the idea of the father getting to understand his love for his children, but it does lack a lot of depth. To make it more interesting, you could have added some puzzle elements. Maybe some areas you could not enter without a key, or solving some kind of puzzle with the clues from the different diaries you look through. Could also have different choices so that you have the feeling that you have control over the plot. Just some things to consider, otherwise well done you all!

MY LIL WIZARD by doinksoft 2023-10-08T13:51:53Z

This is such a polished game, I love the small details, the screenshake when you shoot and kill enemies, the small zoom when you pickup a new weapon, everything feels very smooth and it adds a lot to the fun of the game. Great jobb!

LD57 — Depths

Lovely, Dark and Deep by randomhuman 2025-04-19T16:07:51Z

Loved the art and the music. I kept playing because the atmosphere was so good. The gameplay itself got a bit repetitive but I'm impressed with how much you managed to do for the jam. I also felt it was missing some kind of indication of progress and tension. It didn't feel super tense because I didn't really know what would kill me, I kept going for a while with a category at 0% so the stakes kind of seemed a bit low in that regard. I really enjoyed playing though. I really liked the sound effects, the card sounds were really good. Would love to see what fort of events / encounters would be included if you get more time to work on the game!

Echoes of the deep by BadPinkChicken 2025-04-08T11:07:39Z

Can't believe you die when touching a jelly fish! Anyway, great job on the game, it was fun (:

Dino Rush by pixelstuff 2025-04-08T20:42:07Z

Love that you managed to embrace chaos, while our game is similar but chill. Well done! Love the art

Go with the Floe by johnnysix 2025-04-08T11:57:01Z

The orcas can come out of nowwhere if you are quick, would have been better with some kind of damage system, otherwise the game feels super polished! I really feel like a penguin

Cave of Gorbs by fusionnist 2025-04-08T19:17:44Z

Very cool, I'm impresed by the quality, what kind of C# engine are you using if I may ask?

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-08T19:50:39Z

Really frustrating, I didn't really understand what to do. Art style is cool though

Jellyfish Jump by fraanns 2025-04-19T15:29:23Z

Fun, short, and simple. Doesn't take long to get your head round and seemed well balanced to me

Nine Lives Deep by Simon Rahnasto 2025-04-19T12:17:26Z

The design and the animations were amazing! The audio added really nicely to the design and gave the game a really good atmosphere. The only problem I had was that I immediately encountered 3 enemies then I sawm around for ages and didn't find anything else at all. It would have been nice to have some direction or hints as I didn't really know what I was supposed to be doing swimming around down there. Maybe I'd missed something in the animation text? It could be nice to have a way to re-read instructions if you missed them.

Coin Grind by jester1454 2025-04-08T19:22:18Z

Threw a bomb at an enemy, it noticed me and walked towards me, pushing the bomb closer to me. The bomb blew up and I died. 10/10

P(urple)thulhu vs SHIPS: Tentacle Trouble! by GreatVV 2025-04-21T15:17:27Z

This was fun to play. It did get a bit repetitive quite quickly though. Would love to have more objects to cover and place, and more like solving a puzzle rather than placing whatever pieces will get the job done. Overall though it was a cool entry and enjoyable :)

Sub-Silence by Pusheeneiro 2025-04-08T19:37:02Z

Hard to understand what is going on. I REALLY love this concept though, kind of reminds me of a minimalist version of Nauticrawl.

This is great, well done

Diggity Diggity Diggity (Dash) by DaveCo 2025-04-19T12:54:49Z

I like this take on a racing game, it was fun to make your own track! I really liked that you could race other characters. I also really liked the character design. Nice work :)

Potions on Paws by LucaVazz 2025-04-19T12:31:52Z

I liked the concept and you'd managed to add a lot considering the time given which is impressive but I did find it quite confusing without enough tutorial/hints. I couldn't work out how to actually use the ingredients or make potions but it was fun collecting the honey and the fish!

Hole Punch by Michael Parrish 2025-04-08T11:13:30Z

This was great, would be perfect minigame for one of those type trainer websites. Anyone that can beat my score? highscore.png

DEPTHS OF HUNGER by Poppy Entertainment 2025-04-19T15:46:54Z

I liked the art and the music. It felt quite creepy which gave it a cool atmosphere. I struggled with controlling the ship which made it a bit frustrating at points but it was fun to play

Fish Photography by Turquoise Moon 2025-04-19T12:41:14Z

This was a nice little game :) It was very relaxing to play! It had a nice atmosphere despite the lack of sounds/music which was good. Only wanted more of it! Nice work!

Deep Hour by Cammin 2025-04-12T14:55:07Z

This was fun! I liked the graphics and the audio. My only slight problem was mashing the space bar, it felt a bit awkward/clunky personally but other than that I had fun :)

Miner TD by OldDog 2025-04-08T11:17:36Z

Only feedback I would give is it that the graphics could have done some work! Otherwise fun little game (:

Resurface by r8teful 2025-04-08T09:57:28Z

@jachymthegoat Thank you, I hope it wasn't too confusing at the start. I tried to make it as simple and straightforward as possible. @jackshadow I'm sorry to hear that, I did also notice that on some of the devices I tried to run the web version on it didn't work @kwuwky Thanks!

Resurface by r8teful 2025-04-08T10:22:42Z

@leophyte Thank you! That's some great advice! I agree, I must have done the scaling a bit to high, was struggling getting the right balance between having too much to upgrade and thus not feeling rewarding, versus having too little.

Resurface by r8teful 2025-04-08T11:36:37Z

@no-firing Thank you!

@sirblazealot Thanks! I'm so happy to hear that

@life-lich Hahah that is exactly the vibe we were going for! The song is called Deep Ocean from Crab_Audio on Pixabay. Thanks for the heads up about that fullscreen button, I've removed it now.

@milq Wow! I'm really pleased to hear you like it that much! Also thank you for the feedback!

@gsoutz I'm sorry that happened to you! On second thought it might not be obvious enough that you can fix them one by one. But I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway!

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-08T11:02:08Z

A miner on a pogo stick!? How do you even come up with that!? Hahah, well done on the game!

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-09T08:53:36Z

I played this for like 20 minutes it was fun! But it was quite dissapointing that there was no final ending, or goal to get towards! Well done

Earthcore Prominence by Lou Tremolieres 2025-04-19T15:37:00Z

The art style and the music gave the game a really nice atmosphere. I liked the variety of enemies. Only problem I had was the water pattern that shows over the screen made me feel dizzy so I couldn't play for very long. I had fun with what I did manage to play though

Rejection by Loka 2025-04-21T15:05:38Z

Really liked the graphics and the audio. It didn't take very long to play but it still felt complete. Good job!

The Fall by Teist 2025-04-12T14:29:02Z

I really like the concept and it was fun to play :) I won by accidentally leaving the map which I wouldn't say is necessarily a bad thing lol it ended up being really fun! The graphics looked really good too. If you continued working on this outside of the jam it would be nice to have leaderboards, either for single player farthest falls or fastest wins or a multiplayer leaderboard :)

Endless Depth by Dywanix 2025-04-08T09:39:10Z

Cool little realtime puzzle game. I did a nice satisfying sound when collecting a coin though!

Meanepth by rensun 2025-04-08T19:57:58Z

Pretty cool. Feels more like I'm walking through an modern art galary compared to a horror game, but anyway very liminal

Stolen Heart by LyaMgtt 2025-04-08T19:39:15Z

I really like the concept and the art! It was fun to play :) If I could suggest any improvements I would say it would have been helpful to have a tutorial at the start as there is a learning curve that can make the beginning frustrating before you work out what is going on. Also the balancing felt a little off as I spent the first 6/7 fights breezing through taking no real damage but then was instantly killed in the final fight. Overall though it was really cool and I would love to see how you take this game further!

Down climber (Pico-8) by Prunus Padis 2025-04-08T11:04:48Z

Movement can be glitchy at times but overall it was great!

Infernal by jachymthegoat 2025-04-08T20:00:19Z

was fun to play and very addictive :)

Nightmare Digger by OnnGD 2025-04-08T10:59:37Z

It would be better if the tutorial was built into the game, some things aren't very obvious! But as a first entry you've done a very good job!

Oh No!! Astral Warp by plidomo 2025-04-21T15:27:41Z

It took me a while to get my head around but what a cool concept! And really fun to try and work out how to solve puzzles once you understand what you're doing. Really loved the perspective, sound and art. Great work!

Ad Light by jtap 2025-04-12T14:37:39Z

Loved the art, and the music combined made a really nice atmosphere :) Congratulations on a cool little game! If you keep this project going after the jam I'd love more things to pick up, different types of threats, and maybe some sort of different movements, either through boost pickups or player abilities. Overall a fun entry, I enjoyed playing it!

Gobbo Steals a Drillship by Providence 2025-04-08T10:31:43Z

I'm afraid the game needs more attention towards the controls and interactions, it just feels too hard to control. Adding interaction outlines, or control popups, would have been great. The concept is amazing though, and the artstyle is great, and I think I found the hidden button ;)

North Depths by voidsrc 2025-04-08T12:55:50Z
