Nice take on Vampire Survivor in the jam theme.
Spend a really good time, great work all. One thing, sometimes with all the action on screen sidewalks can be difficult to tell the difference between some walls that have the same color.
This was really nice. I am not very familiar with the vampire survivors genre, but I think this was a nice introduction :D I really felt that I got stronger each round, with more bullets and electric orbs flying around the screen. One thing that was not very clear to me was when a level ends. Sometimes it felt like the level continued a very long time such that I had very little space left at the end. Othertimes the edge circle was not even close to the center yet. Maybe I am just not familiar enough with the genre to understand :/
But the game was really fun to play and the art was beautiful. I also think the sounds and music matched pretty well, making it a nice cohesive package. Really well done! :D

The atmosphere is really cute. I had a problem when choosing an item at the end of a wave (next wave button that appeared directly), but otherwise very pleasant to play.

This is quite a polished game for a game jam! Very flashy and poppy effects.
The game loop is fast and satisfying.
The only effect I really did not care about was the motion blur. It seemed a bit excessive and jarring to my eyes.

so a really poo poo randomness bug. so during my wave 2 the world colapsed on me and then the area i was safe in started filling up with damage things and enemys were not dieing fast enough, so i couldnt stay in safe zone, then when i left the safe zone i died... thats not a situation i expected to see at the second wave. i really had nothing to deal with that situation.
Really liked this one, to the point I had to stop playing it early to go check out other games xD Loved the artstyle a lot, and the sound design suited it very well! Really nice job on this one! :)

I loved the gacha theme and the art was really nice. Was fun to watch all the new effects as I got new weapons, too. Eventually the game just sort of played itself and I could just stand in damage and heal enough from the life drain, though. I also wasn't sure what actually controls when the level ends.
By far the most polished game I found so far, all this in 3 days is incredible. Fantastic work!

Direction artistic very good ! Item and level up are really well thought out ! I'm a little bit frustrated by the diversity of the attack, we have juste to move around mob, maybe add on the future an ultimate power to add player implication ? I didn't find bug ! The game is a little difficult at first! I went to wave 10 after the fifth try.
For players reading: I did a damage/lifesteal/life build
I played: Machin gun, ice-canon, gun Try to approach bomb enemies as soon as possible before they are too far inside the safe zone. (To make them explode)
It's in my top 10 game of the jam so far.

The exploding kittens are making my life difficult, the auto gun system is interesting and I like how the ammos behave differently, also all the assets are great (from the character to icons). There seems to be a lot of love behind this game and it shows, great work!
The game is satisfying to play and the limited space adds some strategy to where you want the enemies that explode to go. It wasn't clear when the wave is supposed to end tho. Also sometimes the "Start next wave" button would appear before I select an upgrade, which made it impossible to pick an upgrade. Its a pretty good game overall.

Such a cute game, it's fun just to look at it and navigating in limited circle that's filled with enemies is intense, simply amazing how much you managed to do in just 3 days. Everything about this is great. Amazing entry!

Very well presented game! Gameplay is very smooth and well executed. Weapons feel satisfying and the art is great. At around level 8/9 it seems levelling up becomes really slow, so at that point it's not fun anymore. The fun in this game is not so much moving around, but rather obtaining new equipment. So when that stops happening, there's no incentive in playing anymore. The other annoying thing was the damage you would take outside the circle. Eventually, the circles close too fast so you're spending all your time outside anyway. Which is not a problem because of the lifesteal. But at the same time, you have to live with the annoying -2 sound effect continuously. Also it wasn't clear what was the clear condition for the wave. Was it time? Amount of enemies killed? Which would be a strange metric, as monsters were still on the screen.
Anyway, a very fun and satisfying game (as long as you can level up). Well done!
The art and UI for this game is so nice! I love the idea of the gacha charms and guns. Overall, it's a really polished game although I think the gameplay loop is a bit lacking since you can only move around (perhaps there's objectives, such as extra items you can collect during the wave, so there's more to do rather than just dodging) Bugs- Level up bar doesn't update as you kill enemies. You visually take damage at the start of each wave. The kill? or level up? number counter in top right is confusing since there's a decimal place, not sure if it's a bug. I'm not sure what it actually counts. I assume it's kills but it's weird that the circle zone can disappear before you finish a level During Level 5 & 7 I wasn't allowed to select any upgrades/perks, and was forced to click next level.
A visual note, the pools of green and pink on the ground is visually confusing - I mistook it for toxic ground a few times.
You guys did a really good job, and it's super polished. I'm sure you could iron out the bugs and whatnot with more time, so great job achieving so much in just 72 hours!

We will make a patch to fix this problem as soon as the votes are finished. The game feels so incredibly polished, especially with the amount of time it was made in! The graphics are amazing, as well as the music and sound effects, they definitely brought such a cute atmosphere to the game and made it all the more enjoying! Felt like I had a bit of trouble at first staying alive but I picked it up after a couple tries!

Fun game! Managed to reach wave 10 on my 3rd attempt. There's a bug where a giant "next wave" button blocks you from choosing new items. Also, those AoE balloons are evil! :D

Cute demon girl! And the shrinking play area puts a good twist on the Vampire Survivors formula.
I love this mix between Vampire Survivors, Archeros with the reducing battle arena mechanic! It has better graphics than Vampire Survivors and it's reducing arena mechanic makes it more convenient for quick games. Although the feeling is a 10 (especially for a jam), I missed more feedback on the characters in the impacts. One of the funniest games of this jam, congrats!
I enjoyed this quite a lot! the art style is very cute, there's plenty of items, plenty of weapons and it feels quite fleshed out!

Super cool art and sound design! Enemies are a bit slow and far in between if i think of Vampire Survivors. Dodging is a bit easy at the moment. Cool drafting system and very polished! Well done!
I like the Vampire Survivors idea with the arena getting smaller! Very impress that you managed to code all this in only the short amount of time. The -1 confused me a bit. At first I thought that it is taking 1 score off my total. The damage should probably just be showed as positive numbers.
This was a very fun entry. I got a little confused at some of the stats being offered, but It worked well regardless. I had a really hard time dealing with the enemies which create a damaging bubble as they felt a little too harsh espcially since you can't choose whether or not to fire at them. Great job, the presentation is wonderful.
It took me a little while to figure out what I was doing, but once I did I had a real blast playing this. The overall presentation - graphics, gameplay, audio - is absolutely top-notch for a jam entry, and I love the overall anime-esque theme. Lots of variety in terms of equipment and weapons, too, which is great. There's easily scope for this to be fleshed out into a full release, although it's pretty fleshed out as is! Great job!

The art really pushes this higher, both by being cute, well done, and visually clear. I love all the details like FX and transition screens. The "closing in circle" is nice on its own, but here it works enven better due to the enemies that leave AOE behind them.
I did had some trouble understanding some of the mechanics, like when does a wave ends or what do each stat represents exactly.

And we couldn't take the time to test and debug (weapon choice bug still present) @r8teful Yes, this is one of the big changes we made on the Post Jam version, we put the damage as a bonus % to avoid a negative value, and we reduced the items giving negative stats.

Jezz, this game is really polished and well implemented, really like the art style, it super cute and pretty! Though I was a little confuse at first on what I needed to do but it didn't take too long to get used to, and it was an amazing experience I had! The audio is really cool too, the chilling music, the shooting and spawning sounds, all were arranged and composed nicely.
I like the concept of the continuously shrinking area, really fit the limited space theme. But I think the black hole attacks of some enemies were a little bit overkill, because they could easily swarm up and take most of the space in the area, which made it difficult to avoid other enemies while having to keep an eye on the shrinking area and those black holes at the same time. My suggestion is that make them disappear after a while, reduce the using rate of said attack, or just reduce the circle radius a little bit, that would create more "breathing room" for the player and make the experience more forgiving and enjoyable.
In conclusion, this is an amazing entry for a short jam like this, hat off to those who worked on this and managed to pack a huge amount of content and polishing in such a small time period. I'm totally impressed!

Some of the best art, super polished and very stylish. Gameplay is fun but like others said it's hard to tell when a level ends, the theme I feel doesn't add too much to the game, if you are making a bigger version can remove the death circle. Music was great too really fit the game. Amazing stuff.
It was fun to play. I loved the concept of being very powerful early on, with projectiles flying around.
My first impression on the graphics (so when I arrived on this page) was that it was pretty, but it doesn't have the small thing making it WOW gorgeous. At first I thought it was because of an unbalance in the drawings: a difference between the sprites and the (awesome) VFX and the rest. But then I checked the post-jam version and I thought "why is the background dirty street when everything else is cute and colourful?". It's not even an obvious contrast between fantasy characters and dull city. It's not that it is badly drawn (well, this hopscotch looks shabby), but it's kind of out of place to me.
However, I think even with a different background, something will still look off to me. Maybe it's the sudden shift of the background when you end a wave, or a unsufficient padding on the buttons, or some colour looking weird next to another, maybe it's a combination of a lot of small details. This is why I will boldly go against the consensus, claming this game is not that polished (not entirely). It's beautiful and smooth, but there is something amiss.
Something else bothering me was the lack of a proper setting, or rather again there is something unbalanced, because there are all these references to anime, but no proper explanation. When you play this game, you directly fight out of the blue, no knowing why how what. There is no need, you could tell me, since most players could get the tropes (cute anime girls fighting cute monsters in a normal city with a touch of brutal violence? another tuesday), but it's not a reason to not have an introduction. The simplest story would be enough to flesh-up everything: the characters, the items. It would justify all the Japanese pop culture references instead of them just standing here.
Comments on the post-jam version as it is when I'm writing this: - You added icons to the stats, but it's still hard to pay attention to. I think it would be way clearer with column graphs for example. - Bug when you replay and you can't change character. - When you wait on the upgrades screen, the zone of the next level seems to already shrink, so if you want to have a pause next level your zone is very small (can you even pause?). - Does the pencil really increase the projectiles number?
I could say more but it could be summarised as "would be resolved by moar content".

Interesting game, but I think screen shakes too much during gameplay
I played both versions, in the first one, which is the jam, I couldn't get past the first horde and the circle always closed and I died. In the post jam version I managed to stay alive for half an hour and still hadn't died, it was much more balanced, but I would say it was even easier. So maybe there just has to be more of a balance between the first and second version, making it a little more difficult, because the update made it very easy. But I imagine how difficult it must be to balance that. I'm not a fan of this vampire survival genre, but the game is really cool, excellent graphics, and everything else, including professional-level sounds. It doesn't even look like a jam game, it would easily fit on Steam and maybe that's why it's among the first. But not only for that, but also for the amount of feedback given without a doubt, so well done! The page is also very beautiful, everything is very good.
Super, SUPER cute art style. I especially loved all the drawings of the items, with the little clips for weapons. The charms all had cute ideas behind them too. Overall, the vibes were immaculate.
Compared with vampire survivors, I never felt that I was strategizing my picks towards an OP build, or really even know what I would be aiming for in that regard. Most weapons felt pretty similar in powerlevel and play style, and I found I could from the very beginning, just sit in one spot and let my attacks go off, without being overly strategic in my build aside from picking +lifesteal and +magic power items.
Also, I didn't feel that "limited space" was very well represented here. Yes, the arena was small, but I never felt limited by that, as I barely had to move in general.
Overall, I think this is a promising direction for a vampire survivors game, and you have the looks, sounds, game feel, and vibe DOWN. It just needs some more strategic diversity and balancing. I think this could be quite successful!

For the different strategies and Build, obviously in 72 hours for a jam we didn't have time x) we clearly need to work on it and improve this part. On the next updates this will be the case, we try to do everything to :)
For the limited space theme, I don't know if you tested the Jam version (the one that counts for the votes), and fortunately the zone is much more impactful, the bomb danger zones too. And we have lots of ideas to go further. For the post jam version yes the zone is less impactful on the player's way of playing :)

For the impact of the gameplay area, I think you tested the post jam version (which does not count for votes) I agree 100% with you we need to review that, however for the jam version, there is clearly an impact even if we find it too difficult. We even have ideas for going further. But we really like the rendering which completely changes the strategy and the approach of the players on a classic vampire survivor, on the player's kiting.
